Grand Final Results Strictly Come Dancing

16 weeks of hard work and dance dedication have all led to this

moment. It's the first all-female final Strictly has ever seen. Our

couples have performed two dances and you have cast your votes. One

couple is about to leave the competition. And the other three

will battle it out to be crowned your champions. This is Strictly

Come Dancing: The Grand Final! They are still here! They didn't go.

What an audience! Amazing. Good evening, ladies and gentlemen and

children. Welcome back to the Strictly Come Dancing: The Grand

Final. We're live! Yes. Tonight, Susanna and Kevin... Abbey and

Aljaz... Natalie and Artem... Sophie and Brendan... One of you will be

crowned Strictly Champions 2013. Thank you for supporting all of our

couples with your votes. Voting is frozen so it won't count if you vote

and you may be charged. The journey for one of our stars will end in a

moment. The couple with the lowest score from you, the public, must

leave the competition. We will re-open the vote lines then and our

remaining three couples will have one last chance to impress you with

their favourite dance of the series. We will also welcome back to the

floor the entire cast of Strictly 2013 later on. What about that? !

It will be lovely to see them. This will be spectacular. So they tell

me. Plus we have a very special performance from Robbie Williams. Oh

yes. Yes. Before we reveal the couple who are about to leave the

competition, let's see what's been going on this evening.

seen enough, it is not in our hands, or the judges' hands, it is in the

wanted to have a ball - and I did. It was amazing. Wow! That is a Show

Dance to end all Show Dances. That was the most special thing I have

ever done in my life. I'm so grateful to you. The joy in your

face, all I could see was, "I'm in the Strictly Final!" Enjoyed the

Show Dance and the whole experience of Strictly has not been wasted. I

have to soak it up and go wow! It felt great.

You are a lovely crowd. They have been marvellous tonight. For me, you

are all worthy winners, you are four amazing finalists. Sadly, the one --

for one couple their Strictly journey is about to end. I can now

reveal that the couple with the fewest viewer votes and leaving

winners. I have had such a ball. I didn't come here to win. I came here

to have fun and to dance and it's been incredible. Thank you so much.

That was lovely. So graceful. Brendan, anything you would like to

say to Sophie? So much. I've had the best series I could ever have

dreamed of. She has been the best partner a guy could ever wish for.

She's been amazing. She has been lovely. You have been such a

brilliant person. Thank you so much. I am really happy. This is - we are

going to do the Charleston at the rap party. Do it there. You have

been a magnificent couple to watch. We have loved watching you dance.

This is your Strictly story. My experience on Strictly has been

incredible. It's been extraordinary. It's been pretty overwhelming. I

have been very, very lucky to be partnered with Brendan. It is nice

to have a giggle on your way. He is so loyal, he is so passionate and

he's believed in me. I couldn't have asked for me. She is a very special

girl. I'm ridiculously proud of what we have achieved. I wish that the

audience could see this much of how fantastic she is. Week two, Brendan

and I danced the Charleston. Wow. It was incredible. Of all the dances,

that is my favourite. Wow! It felt great. I loved the routine, the

music. Strictly has taken a few of my favourite things and then put it

altogether and given it to me every Saturday night. Shut up, close the

door and call me Mary. It was spot on! You were sensational. It is

extraordinary, it is like an out-of-body experience. It is pretty

magical, so thank you so much. Lovely to look back on all of that.

for each of our finalists to take to the floor for their last dance. It

is so emotional tonight. It is going to be their favourite routine of the

series. First to perform are Susanna and Kevin. Here is their Strictly

story. I will never ever forget being on Strictly. I have loved

every single second of it. I was addicted to it immediately. First

live show was a standing ovation. It is all down to this girl. Nothing

will top our paso doble. The setting in that beautiful Tower Ballroom. I

always think of it as the planets aligning for us. Fab-u-lous! I

didn't know anything about Kevin when we were paired together. Kevin!

You never know if you are going to click... How are you going to turn

this newsreader into a dancer? We became really close very quickly. He

has been an absolute joy to work with. At the beginning, she was

coming from a non-dancer, throwing herself around and me throwing her

around. To see her progress into this elegant ballroom dancer... We

have had ups and downs. We have been at the top of the leaderboard. We

have been at the bottom. And some weeks are tougher than others. It

was a bit muddy at the edges. Cha cha was one of those weeks. It was

all a bit mumsy, darling. You build yourself back up again and go back

in the training room, a big smile on your face and give it 100%! Now, we

are near the end and I don't want to wake up. I said I wouldn't do this.

I didn't know what the first series was going to be like for me. I don't

want it to end. I could not have done any of this without the most

extraordinary loving support from my family. Susanna being in the Final

of Strictly Come Dancing is just amazing. My partner, Dom, has

stepped into the breach. It is a source of great joy for me and the

kids to see the smile on her face. ALL: Good luck, Susanna. My three

boys have been my enthusiastic supporters, my harshest critics at

times... 8, 10. I couldn't have done it without them. Thank you to ALL my

family who have been brilliant throughout this whole thing. I have

had an amazing experience on Strictly and to be able to dance my

very favourite dance again, our paso doble, means the world to me. I

think it is right that it combines drama and emotion because this is

the last time we are going to do together.

incredible and with the traditional music, that I love. It's over my

pass the smelling salts, if I'm dreaming don't wake me up. I thought

you come out full on, flat out, full of energy and attack. I loved it.

Bruno agrees I think. Oh, Susanna, when a drama queen. I love a drama

queen, I tell you. Unleashed to maximum effect. Don't get me

started. It's true. Paso doble is all about drama, powerful, gutsy,

triumphant. You were dancing for your life. We just loved it. We

loved it, my darling. Emotion, lots of emotion. Craig,

what did you think? The shoulders tend to raise up, the fingers are

all wrong - I'm joking, darling. That was an absolute powerhouse of a

performance, well done. Darcey, my love. Susanna, for your

last dance on Strictly, you came out on top, hot and fiery, well done.

You did that one at Blackpool, didn't you? Yes. It was worth

repeating. Go on, be proud. Up you go.

APPLAUSE The numbers to vote for your

favourite couple are on screen now. Wow, a powerhouse of a paso. How did

it feel to dance your favourite dance again. Can you speak? Are you

overcome? It was the most extraordinary privilege. It was an

absolutely brilliant, amazing moment. And thank you. I can't

believe it's our last. I know. Your last dance. For an incredible

Strictly has been dancing with Kevin. And taking part. It has been

three, four months of pure bliss. Like-wise, dancing with Susanna.

the icing on the cake? Absolutely. We felt like it was our best dance

and favourite dance to dance. It was wonderful, dancing with Susanna, who

is an incredible dancer, from no experience, just reading the news,

and now a bucketful of passion and heart and it's an amazing series.

Next up to tackle their favourite dance of the series are Abbey and

Aljaz. Now then, here's their Strictly story.

The whole Strictly experience has just been incredible from start to

finish. I have been so happy. That was great. Mesmerising. A-maz-ing. I

couldn't wish for a better partner than Abbey in my first series. It

feels like a dream that I don't want to wake up from. I genuinely can't

believe we're in the final. I didn't think I'd make it through week one,

the way I felt and my lack of dance experience. Being in the bottom two

with our rumba was probably the lowest point for me. To feel like

that and to have to dance again was just horrible. Everyone else is so

good. I don't feel as good as half of the people who are still in it. I

feel really honoured. To get a 40 for our salsa was just crazy. Well

done Aljaz, you have made a true dancer out of Abbey. This experience

wouldn't be anything without Aljaz. He's just been incredible. Every

single day of rehearsals, so much fun, so much smiling going on. It

never really feels like work. Now, looking back, I could not imagine

having this experience with anyone else. Definitely we're going to stap

friends forever. You don't -- stay friends forever. You don't forget

these things so easily. Abbey has done amazingly well. Love you,

mummy. Abbey has always brought joy and happiness into this family. I

love her so much, she makes me cry. I'm so proud of you. Keep it up. And

don't forget, I love you. Nothing compares to Strictly. I can't

believe how emotionally attached I've become to it, to be honest. I

feel like I'm sad at the minute, because it's coming to an end. I

love it. My favourite dance of the series was our quickstep. Aljaz and

I chose this dance because I have felt like I've been walking on

sunshine for the past three months. It definitely is the perfect ending

for me. I've got a wonderful friend in Aljaz. Leave the chicken at home.

I've had some of the best times of my life. I can't even think about

dancing the last dance with Abbey, standing there waiting for our

quickstep song to start playing, it's going to be so emotional. It's

sad that it's going to come to an end, because he's such a lovely

person and just to win it for Aljaz, it's his first year, it would be the

best thank you I could ever give him.

I'm tired for you. What a tempo! That really was, oh, yes, my

Everybody absolutely loved it. What a tempo that was. Bruno, what do you

think? It was absolutely dazzling in its brilliance. I think the content

of this quickstep is right up there with the best we've ever seen on

Strictly. I think we all agree with that. What did Craig think? I

thought you were very brave to choose this, because I recall just

giving it a seven. The gapping, the chin down, the loose frame, the arms

a mess, but you've managed to correct just about all of those

things. So congratulations. What does it feel like to please Craig?

Amazing. Darcey? Walking on sunshine is great, but you floated, you

really did. That was even better, seamless quickstep, a joy to watch.

And Len? If ballroom dancing was football, I'm telling you, you're

top of the league, you absolutely are. You've got wonderful movement,

great posture, unfortunately, and you know, this is the thing with

this competition, it's live and you get one shot. Unfortunately there

was, near the end, a little incident that happened, you suddenly took off

and Aljaz forgot to. Probably your fault. Aljaz's fault, yes. Listen, I

think you are a spectacular dancer. Thank you.

I second that. You're a natural. I keep telling you, you're a natural.

She's walking on sunshine, literally. That was your last dance

of the series. Don't remind me. How much are you going to miss your

Strictly life? I'm just going to miss it so much, I can't even bear

to think about it. It's just been the most incredible thing and it's

all thanks to you and everyone who's voted and kept us in. But you've

been just wonderful. How proud are you of Abbey? Extremely proud. Week

through week, she amazed me every Saturday. I'm just so happy I got

Abbey for my first season. I'm over the moon. What would it mean for you

to win? Dancing on sunshine. It would just be the perfect ending to

the most perfect experience I've ever had. I'm lucky to be in the

I'm still up and down those stairs, 60 times now. 60 times. Right, any

way, last to take to the floor, with their favourite dance of the series

is Natalie and Artem. Here's their Strictly story.

I've been a massive fan of this show since it started and just "Oh, I

want to do it." Now I'm in the inner circle, unbelievable that I got

invited to this party. It's the best party in the world. As contestants

on Strictly, we're completely in the hands of our dance partner. With

Natalie, I was able to do what I want to do. There was no limitations

to where you can go with it. Spectacular. Every week we get on

the dance floor, it's better and better and better and better:

Natalie was taken ill during the dress rehearsal and won't be dancing

tonight. The ultimate low point was the week I wasn't in the show. I

still feel gutted that I never got to per norm my jive. For me, Artem

has always wanted the best for me. That means that he hasn't let me get

away with good enough. I think that's amazing, to have gone through

the experience with somebody who sees something in you that maybe

nobody else does. She's probably one of the strongest women I've met in

my life. She has an incredible work ethic like I've never seen before.

It puts me to shame. He doesn't always speak too much. He's quite a

quiet man, but expresses all of himself through dance. Without my

family, without my friends, I wouldn't still be on this show. The

support has been unconditional. Because I know how much it means to

Natalie to even be part of Strictly, for her to be in the final is just

fantastic. It's incredible. I'm getting emotional talking about it.

All of her friends and family are living the dream with her. Saturday

night on the dance floor has given me the best feelings I've ever had

in my life. Every move she performs on the dance floor is exquisite.

She's amazing. I've never felt more myself, so very, very -- it's a

very, very rare gift we've been given. One of the dances I loved the

most was the American smooth. I chose this dance because when we did

it last time, it felt like I was doing a scene in a film. I think it

was the first time I really appreciated the magic of Artem's

choreography. I do hope that somewhere out there at home that

love reaches through the screen and grabs people. And captures...

Captures them. Dancing the American Smooth, Natalie

Gumede and Artem Chigvintsev. Another show-stopper! How do they

all keep doing this? Wonderful. Natalie and Artem, enjoy this

moment. Enjoy it that is your last dance. A beautiful song. He is a bit

emotional as well. A beautiful song. And the dance. I don't know why she

didn't sing at the same time. Craig? There is nothing better in the world

when everything comes together. The music, the song, the dance, Andrea's

voice in that was spectacular. Absolutely. Oh yes! Don't be

embarrassed. It was wonderful. Your dancing was even more spectacular. I

bow down to you, my darling. Your comments? Darcey? You can see how

much you love that dance. It came out of your skin, both of you. It

was so intense. It was fabulous. I said it before, your fluidity and

how you mirror each other, it was perfection. You ooze it. Fabulous.

I'm taken aback. Len? Well, last time I watched this dance, I gave

you an 8. The reason was there wasn't enough in hold. However, that

is more of a critique about Artem's choreography than it is about

Natalie's dance performance and so, I watched only you and the

performance that you gave was - it's beyond stunning. I'm telling you,

Natalie, that was brilliant. Bruce, may I... Yes. I think series 11 has

been absolutely wonderful and that is a fitting dance to finish this

series on. There's never been a series like it for dancing. Bruno,

we haven't asked you! Flawless. It is like a precious jewel that you

want to keep with you for the rest of your life. I have ave done this

show 11 seasons here, 18 in America. This is one of the highlights of all

of the seasons I have judged across both continents. Perfection. You

can't top that. You can't have anything better than that. All four

of them love you. The audience love you. And I love you. I love you,

too, Brucie. Off you go. Lovely. APPLAUSE

judges have ever seen. An incredibly emotive performance from you. You

danced that like it was your last dance. How did it feel out there? I

feel like I have touched something divine dancing with Artem. What a

lovely way to talk about Artem. Artem, you were in tears before the

dance and you are in tears now. Did she do you proud? Words cannot

describe. I have never seen you like this, Artem. To perform like this

takes something special. You absolutely blew me away. You have

blown the judges away. APPLAUSE

What an incredible three months it's been. We have had some truly

memorable moments from Dave doing those moves like Jagger to Ashley's

magic carpet ride. This is what you have loved most about this year's

Strictly Come Dancing. I have loved Strictly this year. It has been

fab-u-lous. I have adored this season of Strictly. More sequins

than me! Cannot believe it's the Final. The Final? Oh no it isn't!

AUDIENCE: Oh yes it is! The brilliant thing about Strictly,

it is a date in everybody's diary. It is the best lead-up to Christmas.

The hair, the make-up, the dresses, the sparkle. I would love to do all

of that. You can do all of that. I can't. I loved Mark Benton doing the

MC Hammer cha cha cha. I nearly fell off the chair, like Bruno! I was

laughing so much. The rumba was beautiful, where he took his shirt

off. Wow, his body! You gave me a great lasting image. Thank you.

Strictly Come Dancing, girls, who is your favourite? I do miss me Hairy

Biker. I like Dave. The moves like Jagger! Julien seems quite a

character. Very entertaining. His dancing was like pulling teeth! I

need a few more thousand crystals! 10,000 crystals... I didn't know

what to expect from Vanessa Feltz. I was surprised. Good show. I am

squeezed into a girdle I can hardly breathe! What about musical week?

Ashley, flying down, from the sky! Wonderful. To have an all-girl final

and aren't they gorgeous? Absolutely. Mary, we have all got

We have a treat for you in a moment, this year's cast will be reunited

for a spectacular routine. For our celebrities taking part in Strictly

has been a once in a lifetime experience. There's been salsas,

standing ovations and plenty of sequins. It adds up to a series that

this lot will never forget. It's showtime.

Being invited to take part on Strictly Come Dancing was a bit like

being a guest at the best party in the world. Coming up that lift at

the launch show and stepping out onto the red carpet and seeing the

audience in front of us and they were so enthusiastic. I think this

was one of the most exciting moments of my life. It was a real buzz. It

was mayhem. I loved every single minute of it. It felt like old

school Hollywood glamour. It was like entering into a Strictly

bubble. It's amazing, it really is. It's like being transported into

another world. Strictly, for me, has been the most incredible thing I've

ever done. I remember being really nervous. All I could think was - who

am I going to get? When I saw it was James Jordon my heart leapt.

Suddenly we're in the training room. The two of you and you actually have

to learn to dance. The first live show, well, I was so nervous. My

knees were knocking when I walked down the stairs. Standing on the

edge of that dance floor and about to step on it for the first time, I

cannot describe. It was like stepping out of the frying pan into

the fire. That's when the roller coaster really began. After you

dance, you have to stand in front of the judges. You get the most amazing

lovely highs. Was fantastic! I'm willing you to dance well and you

know what, you did. Then, equally, amazing lows. You've got this unique

ability of never letting your left leg know what your right leg's going

to do. I know you need to have separation in the legs. That's what

I'm working on. The themed weeks, for me, were brilliant, loved all of

them. The Hallowe'en one probably stuck out for me. The make up, the

outfits, the staging, spectacular. Watch out Blackpool, Strictly's in

town. The Blackpool Tower Ballroom was one of those moments that will

stay with me forever. Seeing the kids come on and dance at Blackpool

put a smile on my face. I love the idea of all the generations taking

part. I think that's what this show represents, it can be enjoyed by

every generation. Strictly was a rare, once in a lifetime

opportunity. There are things in life that money can't buy, Strictly

experience is one of them. I did it for the elder generation. I can move

given half a chance, obviously not quite well enough. Hopefully I

showed everyone at home that being a big lad that I could learn to dance

Big Ben, ding dong. The wonderful thing about doing ballroom dancing,

it's something I never thought I'd be doing. It's like jumping back

into the past. When you get it right, it's an amazing feeling. My

personal highlight was when we got the big standing ovation after the

paso doble. That was magic. Strictly Come Dancing is every little girl's

dream in terms of the hair and the make up and the costumes. I've got

2,000 crystals on. I would say Strictly has given me the knowledge

that there is still plenty that I can do. You are the best male

celebrity in this competition. I'm very proud to have got to the

semifinal. I was the last man standing, at 50. So all of those

things, I give myself a huge pat on the back. If you don't go for things

in life, you'll be left with the feeling of "what if". You have to go

for it 100%. It's been an amazing experience, learning all those

dances, it's just wonderful. It's changed my life actually. It's given

me my confidence back. These people become really good friends. It's

properly heart breaking to say goodbye to them. You know, at the

end of the day, there's nothing quite like being a member of the

Strictly family. Strictly has left something with me. I hope it lasts,

because it awoke a joy in me that I've long forgotten. It's an amazing

thing to go through life and reach my age and discover that I love as

much as I love dancing. Now I've found it, I'm not letting it go.

I think Strictly has given me a new lease of life. It is just a sheer

joy, wonderful. Strictly meant a lot to me. It meant a lot for my own

personal courage, because I think you compete yourself not the other

competitors. You are part of a big family. It meant so much. And I've

made friends for life. You learn a lot about every area of your life.

It's been an incredible adventure. Strictly has given me confidence,

happiness and just a sense of you can do anything, if you put your

mind to it. Thank you Strictly, you've made my dream come true.

Isn't that lovely? What a series. Just a reminder, the voting lines

have closed. Please don't call or your votes won't count and you may

treat for you. Yes, indeed. Over the past few months, our couples have

entertained us with some outstanding routines. Some have made us gasp in

It's like the best school reunion ever. Dave, have you carried on

dancing since you left us? Yes, indeed. I'm doing a bit. I'm like an

eel on a skateboard. I'm more Supple than I used to be. Oh, good.

Positively elastic. What's been your highlight tonight? It's all the

sequins and the loveliness that is Strictly, just extraordinary

dancing. I've seen the journey from these people who started with us on

day one and look what they're doing. The standard is phenomenal tonight.

I have to mention an outstanding audience. Brilliant. Have you missed

treading the ballroom boards on a Saturday night? I have absolutely.

It's nice to be back to do a dance together and see everybody and be

here and not feel nervous - it's brilliant. Just have fun. Exactly.

Ben, how was it to be reunited with your mates? This is great. This is

where it started. It's finishing now, but what a great final. It's

been amazing, great to catch up and do one last dance, brilliant. Loved

every moment. Who's impressed you tonight? I'm bowled over by

everybody. Fiona has been sobbing. We've all been crying. We're so

moved. It's just so gorgeous. What beautiful things to watch and be

part of. A lot of emotion tonight. In a few minutes, we will announce

your 2013 winner, who will join the ranks of our ten previous Strictly

champions, some of whom are in the audience tonight. I can tell you -

there is Louis Smith - we have had over six million votes tonight.

Incredible. Before we crown our 11th winner, what does it mean to be a

Strictly Champion? There is nothing on the planet like

Strictly. As soon as I got that call from Strictly, I knew that is what I

wanted to do. Strictly Come Dancing came along at a time when I needed a

pick-me-up and boy, did it pick-me-up. Unless you have stepped

out on to that dancefloor, there is no way to describe the terror. I can

remember the adrenaline and fear that I felt when the music comes on.

I'm thinking I'm going to be sick! You think what have I done? When

something is that scary, the reward is so much greater. Then, within a

couple of weeks, you are completely addicted. It is all you can think

about. You get carried along in the frenzy of it. Something about the

show does something to you. It takes over you. You think this is just a

bit of fun. Suddenly, you don't want to go home. The buzz in the studio

on the Final is like fireworks. The atmosphere was palpable. Incredibly

emotional. You don't want this to end. You realise you want it to keep

going. Once I got to the Final, I wanted to win. Nobody remembers the

runner-up. A sportsman was next to me and I thought I'm having him!

Waiting to find out whether you are the winner of Strictly Come Dancing

is the most heart-stopping moment. I have never experienced anything like

it in my life. Those seconds that you are waiting for that

announcement, everything goes through your mind. Boom-boom... I

was crippled with anxiety. I put so much into the last 14 weeks, you are

hoping everything will go your way. That moment, I knew I really wanted

it nor than anything. -- more than anything. Then they say your name.

You don't know whether to cry, you don't know whether to laugh. You

can't comprehend that the thing that you have wished for has come true.

Brain goes into meltdown. Pure elation. It was just a crazy time.

The memory of your time throughout Strictly, what you've come through,

what you have learnt and achieved, it's so emotional that final bit. It

is a special time. The Strictly Come Dancing champion

of 2013, their life will change forever. Fancy a dance, love? It is

one of those things that unites all of us. People love Strictly. They

want to talk about what the judges are like, what is Bruce and Tess

like. I feel very privileged. 250 wickets for England, yet all I'm

known for is winning Strictly Come Dancing. It's definitely changed me.

I will always miss it. 2007 was a turning point in my life. My life

has become better because of it. I owe that to Strictly. It's been more

than just a TV programme. It makes people feel happy and it is magical.

It is wonderful. I wouldn't have changed it for the world.

There's only going to be one person that is remembered as the 11th

champion of Strictly Come Dancing. Life is about experiences and making

memories. Strictly has to be one of the best.

your votes. There can only be one winner. It is the time we have all

been waiting for. 15 celebrities, 132 dances, 12 eliminations and one

here. How much have you enjoyed being a part of the whole Strictly

Come Dancing experience? I think you can see from tonight, it's been so

emotional and incredible and the best experience of my life. I'm so

thrilled to have been in the Final. It's been wonderful. You are a

phenomenal dancer. Bruce? We want to have a little word with the

runners-up. OK. Are you going to miss - that is a silly question -

are you going to miss dancing together? I will miss it so much.

The greatest prize for me was dancing with Kevin and I felt like a

winner every day. Thank you so much. You are all winners tonight, that's

Champion 2013. How do you feel? I can't believe this. It is just mad.

What is your little girl going to say? She is going to be so happy.
