American smooth from My Fair Lady. | 0:09:34 | 0:09:37
She scored 33 for it,
first time round and "wouldn't it be | 0:09:37 | 0:09:40

even better tonight? | 0:09:40 | 0:09:45
Come on, Alexandra.
Saturday night for me is the most | 0:09:45 | 0:09:51
content I've ever been in the whole
journey of Strictly. Ida what | 0:09:51 | 0:09:57
happened. The fact that we are here
in the final is absolutely | 0:09:57 | 0:10:02
everything. Thank you. Alexandra,
Gorkha, congratulations on making it | 0:10:02 | 0:10:10
to the final. How do you feel? I
feel amazing, very excited. Would | 0:10:10 | 0:10:17
you like to know what dance we have
chosen for you to dance? Yes, | 0:10:17 | 0:10:20
please. American smooth. I love that
one. Thank you, guys. I absolutely | 0:10:20 | 0:10:35
love the way you bring light to
characters, certain things have to | 0:10:35 | 0:10:39
be refined. Take the space and don't
be frightened to bring the space and | 0:10:39 | 0:10:46
turn. You've got to bring everything
you can enter this performance. I | 0:10:46 | 0:10:50
think you're capable of achieving
full marks for this if you really | 0:10:50 | 0:10:55
focus. Go out there and set the room
on Fire! I'm so over the moon. How | 0:10:55 | 0:11:00
do you feel? So excited. I want to
make sure I'm focused rather than | 0:11:00 | 0:11:05
being overwhelmed by it all. I loved
doing the American smooth on Movie | 0:11:05 | 0:11:10

done and what a dance. Beautiful.
You've had more sense than anyone | 0:13:17 | 0:13:20
else in the final. You are in the
final, how does it feel? It feels | 0:13:20 | 0:13:27
out of this world, I just want to do
that again because I love the | 0:13:27 | 0:13:30
American smooth and we are in the
final! It was beautiful. Take it on | 0:13:30 | 0:13:37
and soak it up and let's welcome our
superb live singers. Hayley, Lance, | 0:13:37 | 0:13:45
Andrea, Tommy Blaize and of course,
Dave Arch and his brilliant | 0:13:45 | 0:13:52
orchestral. How did that compare to
the original? You've captured the | 0:13:52 | 0:13:58
essence of everything the Strictly
final is about. I talked to you | 0:13:58 | 0:14:01
about taking the space, your
beautiful arms, you took the most | 0:14:01 | 0:14:06
gorgeous extension over here. So
feminine. You brought a much softer | 0:14:06 | 0:14:10
side. We are used to you with your
energy and everything but it was | 0:14:10 | 0:14:14
exquisite. Thank you, thank you so
much. You can't ask for higher | 0:14:14 | 0:14:19
praise than that. Bruno. Lovelier
than ever and even more fragrant | 0:14:19 | 0:14:25
than the blooms on display. But
actually, honestly, my darling, your | 0:14:25 | 0:14:31
greatest qualities that you really
give all of your heart and soul in | 0:14:31 | 0:14:34
everything you do. You don't hold
back. It has love, it has truth and | 0:14:34 | 0:14:38
honesty. Thank you. And that, I'm
telling you, is very hard to beat. | 0:14:38 | 0:14:44
Lovely thing to say. Alexandra might
be capable of full marks. What do | 0:14:44 | 0:14:50
you think now? I thought it was
absolutely dreadful, because I | 0:14:50 | 0:14:54
couldn't find a single thing wrong.
APPLAUSE | 0:14:54 | 0:15:06

And how you extend and stretch out.
Every beat of the music you are | 0:15:20 | 0:15:26
sensitive to and that is your
strength and it is wonderful to | 0:15:26 | 0:15:30

exquisite. What a strong start. Your | 0:15:30 | 0:15:36

CHEERING | 0:17:39 | 0:17:42
The dance the judges have
asked Debbie to perform | 0:17:42 | 0:17:45
again is her salsa. | 0:17:45 | 0:17:47
It has some tricky lifts that didn't

but she's hoping to master them
tonight when it matters most. | 0:17:51 | 0:18:01
On Saturday, leading up to the live
show, I felt this is how I used to | 0:18:01 | 0:18:06
feel when I was performing with Paul
and I got a sense I would have a | 0:18:06 | 0:18:14
great time. It is outstanding what
you give every night. Strictly | 0:18:14 | 0:18:19
gorgeous. The finals of Strictly...
It is the best feeling ever. People | 0:18:19 | 0:18:27
have voted for Giovanni and I and I
have to up my game. I bet you are | 0:18:27 | 0:18:31
dying to know what we have chosen
for you to dance in the final. This | 0:18:31 | 0:18:39
is a dance we think you can improve
on. Yes. It is the salsa. This will | 0:18:39 | 0:18:51
give you an opportunity to make sure
the lifts work. Do not just pick up | 0:18:51 | 0:18:57
your arm and expected Giovanni to
take it. Be aware. The first time | 0:18:57 | 0:19:03
you've got 35. You have to go for
the perfect 40. Sell it like you | 0:19:03 | 0:19:09
have never sold it before. I feel
lucky I have been given the | 0:19:09 | 0:19:14
opportunity to improve on it. The
final is a great competition. We | 0:19:14 | 0:19:20
cannot do any mistakes. I want the
salsa to be perfect this time. | 0:19:20 | 0:19:26
Otherwise I do not think I will ever

Oh, my goodness me. What about that
for a salsa? You are the Queen of | 0:21:34 | 0:21:42
lifts. Three of the judges gave you
a standing ovation. The first of | 0:21:42 | 0:21:50
three dances and what a first.
Brilliant. Can you say one last | 0:21:50 | 0:21:58
time, Debbie. Debbie. Thank you. | 0:21:58 | 0:22:05
You wanted it to be perfect. | 0:22:05 | 0:22:11
You have got to be kidding me. She
is like the Tardis. She defies the | 0:22:11 | 0:22:17
laws of physics and concept of time.
You dance like a 20-year-old. | 0:22:17 | 0:22:22
Brilliant. How much has Debbie
improved? Lovely rotation in the | 0:22:22 | 0:22:29
hips. Under arm turns worked well. I
loved the left. Spectacular, | 0:22:29 | 0:22:35
darling. It is this chemistry,
partnership, it gels to perfection. | 0:22:35 | 0:22:46
How it could have got faster or
tighter and how you keep the smile | 0:22:46 | 0:22:50
on your face, upside down. With that
hand between your legs, I want to | 0:22:50 | 0:22:58
bottle a little bit of Debbie McGee.
You are amazing. Shirley. On week | 0:22:58 | 0:23:08
number eight you missed the under
arm turns and you have that | 0:23:08 | 0:23:13
fantastic focus. You caught the hand
and made everything work. The | 0:23:13 | 0:23:19
lift... Darcey and I took a deep
breath when you did the lift. | 0:23:19 | 0:23:27
Fantastic. We agree you are
brilliant, Debbie McGee. Those | 0:23:27 | 0:23:32
lifts. So brave. Debbie! Go and get
your first set of scores. | 0:23:32 | 0:23:51
Debbie! Well done. How did you feel
when the judges said they wanted you | 0:23:51 | 0:24:00
to do the salsa, did you think about
the lift being terrifying? Yes. But | 0:24:00 | 0:24:07
you did it. You trust him so much.
It must be adorable to get those | 0:24:07 | 0:24:13
comments when they talk about the
connection. Three dances, snow | 0:24:13 | 0:24:19
interrupted week, training, did not
feel well, panto rehearsals. Never | 0:24:19 | 0:24:25
late. Never. She worked really hard.
We enjoy doing the dance, really | 0:24:25 | 0:24:32
nice. | 0:24:32 | 0:24:32 | |

First time round,
it really showed off | 0:25:27 | 0:25:28

she be strong enough to | 0:25:28 | 0:25:30
fight off the opposition tonight? | 0:25:30 | 0:25:39
The semifinal went well. I enjoyed
the dances. Gemma was firing, she | 0:25:39 | 0:25:46
came out and delivered two strong
performances. From doing the dances | 0:25:46 | 0:25:52
and feeling good about them, we had
a massive lull but we made it | 0:25:52 | 0:25:59
through. Being in the final of
Strictly is a dream come true. | 0:25:59 | 0:26:07
Congratulations for making the
final. We have chosen your dance to | 0:26:07 | 0:26:11
be...
The paso doble. This time I will | 0:26:11 | 0:26:20
look for more angles in your body
and if anything is square on I would | 0:26:20 | 0:26:30
like more rotation. Do not bury your
chin. Stare Aljaz out. Make sure you | 0:26:30 | 0:26:37
drive it home. This is the final and
you have to give it absolutely | 0:26:37 | 0:26:42
everything. We will work on shaping
and intention and the character. | 0:26:42 | 0:26:47
That is a lot of work. I will not
let Aljaz down. I need to do him | 0:26:47 | 0:26:53
proud. We have one eight and three
nines last time, this time we hope | 0:26:53 | 0:27:01
for better. We have to dance this
paso doble like never before. | 0:27:01 | 0:27:05

Paso power! You are covered in
glitter. Passion of first | 0:29:00 | 0:29:11
performance by Gemma and alias,
brilliant job. Well done. What do | 0:29:11 | 0:29:15
you think of that focus, Craig?
Fantastic actually. Strong lines, | 0:29:15 | 0:29:20
fantastic intent this time and
purpose, this dance suits your | 0:29:20 | 0:29:26
frame, I thought it worked
brilliantly. 15 weeks and Craig is | 0:29:26 | 0:29:33
finally being nice. Gemma. You are
on fire. The determination and | 0:29:33 | 0:29:41
drama, very strong shaping as well.
Well done because you held onto the | 0:29:41 | 0:29:46
passion until the last beat of the
music, exactly what we want. Well | 0:29:46 | 0:29:49
done. They mean business, it.
Surely, did you get the shaping you | 0:29:49 | 0:29:58
are looking for? I got more beyond,
I got angles and shapes and you have | 0:29:58 | 0:30:02
mastered your craft. Let me tell you
something, the mind is like a | 0:30:02 | 0:30:06
parachute, it works best when it's
open and you have had an open mind | 0:30:06 | 0:30:10
from day one, you have taken
criticism on the chin, you've been | 0:30:10 | 0:30:13

was fierce, it was powerful, and
again, my darling, you've grown so | 0:30:31 | 0:30:35
much over the last few months. Every
time you came back you added a | 0:30:35 | 0:30:44

you've improved, and you've peaked | 0:30:44 | 0:30:47

favourite Strictly series ever.
Thank you very much. This was from | 0:31:37 | 0:31:45
week four. Did you go, what, where
am I going? Because it was a dance I | 0:31:45 | 0:31:50

easily but when we practised it it | 0:31:50 | 0:31:55

Joe's doing his Viennese | 0:32:54 | 0:32:56

I'm sure his acting will be just
as good, but ten weeks on, | 0:32:57 | 0:33:00
how much has his dancing improved? | 0:33:00 | 0:33:02
Doing two dances in a week wasn't
easy. They were such contrasting | 0:33:09 | 0:33:14
dances. The last lift went really
well because it hadn't in | 0:33:14 | 0:33:19

it pay off? I think it did. To get | 0:33:19 | 0:33:24
through to the final really is the
best feeling in the world. It's my | 0:33:24 | 0:33:28
first-ever final on Strictly. Just
still being here is the best thing | 0:33:28 | 0:33:31
in the world. It really means so
much. Congratulations, you've made | 0:33:31 | 0:33:36
it to the final. I am so thrilled.
We have chosen a dance. OK. The | 0:33:36 | 0:33:46
dance you will be doing is the
Viennese waltz. Yes, yes, yes. As | 0:33:46 | 0:33:52
judges we love this dance but we
think there is room for improvement. | 0:33:52 | 0:33:55
Absolutely. You did this in week
three but now you are doing it in | 0:33:55 | 0:34:00
the final. I want you to give
everything you have got to this | 0:34:00 | 0:34:03
dance. It is a Viennese waltz, no
rise and fall, no bum sticking out. | 0:34:03 | 0:34:09
Make improvement in the footwork
area for me, but other than that, | 0:34:09 | 0:34:13
just go for it. Happy days.
I have to show the judges how far | 0:34:13 | 0:34:20
I've come, and make it even better
than it was the first time around. | 0:34:20 | 0:34:23
We are working on better footwork,
adding a lot more pushed to it. Two, | 0:34:23 | 0:34:29
three... Everything is riding on
this dance, this performance has got | 0:34:29 | 0:34:32
to be the performance of my life. | 0:34:32 | 0:34:34

Yes, I am, somehow. In the final.
Congratulations. Darcey, you wanted | 0:36:42 | 0:36:49
joke to give this everything, did
he? You certainly did, you rose to | 0:36:49 | 0:36:55
the challenge, you excelled, you
improve your posture, there was | 0:36:55 | 0:36:59
wonderful glide and flow. It's like
everything comes together when you | 0:36:59 | 0:37:04
have wonderful choreography,
beautiful music, and this lovely | 0:37:04 | 0:37:06
narrative. It is one of my
favourites of the series, I have to | 0:37:06 | 0:37:09
say. Thank you. And how was the
footwork this time around for you, | 0:37:09 | 0:37:17
surely? I just thought it had it
all, it was big, it was bold and it | 0:37:17 | 0:37:22
was beautiful. So beautiful. If I
had an 11 paddle for that flick on I | 0:37:22 | 0:37:29
would be using it. That was as good
as any professional I have seen, I | 0:37:29 | 0:37:33
just have to say. Nobody does a
fleckerl better. Your posture, | 0:37:33 | 0:37:39
beautiful straight-line tonight, I'm
very proud of you. There was no | 0:37:39 | 0:37:47
bottom sticking out, was there,
Bruno? I think we are all in love | 0:37:47 | 0:37:52
all over again, from Russia with
love. Wasn't it lovely? Romantic. | 0:37:52 | 0:37:57
You tell the story so beautifully,
wonderful piece of choreography. | 0:37:57 | 0:38:02
What happened this week, I think, is
you have added an extra effortless | 0:38:02 | 0:38:07
flow. You are moving around and it
looked like you were skating on a | 0:38:07 | 0:38:11
frozen lake, and that really put in
the extra touch to something that | 0:38:11 | 0:38:15
was already good and it made it even
better. Thank you. That's good. | 0:38:15 | 0:38:22
Craig. Absolutely, no-nonsense,
proper Viennese waltz, I love to see | 0:38:22 | 0:38:29
that. I really do. Posture has
improved beyond compare, the | 0:38:29 | 0:38:34
storytelling I absolutely loved, the
drama you managed to both put into | 0:38:34 | 0:38:37
that waltz was absolutely superb.

It feels like a lifetime ago, nice | 0:39:07 | 0:39:12
to come back because it's so
beautifully choreographed, nice to | 0:39:12 | 0:39:15
do it again and we did it a bit
better than last time hopefully. To | 0:39:15 | 0:39:20

to push Alexandra to the maximum. | 0:43:56 | 0:44:03
Stop. It is so fast and technical.
The lifts and tricks come randomly. | 0:44:03 | 0:44:12
This is the routine that will be the
biggest challenge. Because Claudia | 0:44:12 | 0:44:17
and I could not wait to see the show

favourite is still to go. We are in | 0:49:43 | 0:49:51
for a treat. Alexandra and Gorka.
Well done. | 0:49:51 | 0:50:05
Well done. Well done to you, Gorka,
your first final and all he wanted | 0:50:06 | 0:50:14
was to show the best bits, most
memorable and emotional parts. There | 0:50:14 | 0:50:19
are so many moments I would have
loved to have done tonight but it is | 0:50:19 | 0:50:23
not possible. You enjoyed it? I
loved it so much. We loved watching | 0:50:23 | 0:50:31
you. | 0:50:31 | 0:50:33 | |
The scores are in. | 0:50:33 | 0:50:34
Craig Revel Horwood. | 0:50:34 | 0:50:36
Darcey Bussell. | 0:50:36 | 0:50:39
Shirley Ballas. | 0:50:39 | 0:50:43
Bruno Tonioli. | 0:50:43 | 0:50:52
That is fantastic. I love it when
you go like that. We have managed to | 0:50:52 | 0:51:02
keep this a secret. You are allowed
to share with the group now, which | 0:51:02 | 0:51:06
are you dancing next? The jive.
CHEERING | 0:51:06 | 0:51:18
To Tina Turner. It was going to be
between that and the paso doble and | 0:51:18 | 0:51:23
then we thought go for it. Jive! | 0:51:23 | 0:51:37
Tess. | 0:51:37 | 0:51:39 | |
But next and hoping to win
your votes with their | 0:51:39 | 0:51:42
anything goes Showdance,
Debbie and her partner Giovanni. | 0:51:42 | 0:51:43
APPLAUSE | 0:51:43 | 0:51:50
Debbie will start on top of a music
box and if it helps her win the | 0:51:50 | 0:51:55
trophy, she will be on top of the
world. The second dance is the show | 0:51:55 | 0:52:04
dance, a mixture of dances and so
beautiful. Don't worry. This is the | 0:52:04 | 0:52:15
last dance Debbie has to learn so I
will push her really hard. I cannot | 0:52:15 | 0:52:21
wait to see what these two have got
on offer. Let's go in. Hello. It is | 0:52:21 | 0:52:30
nice to see you. Tell us about your
show dance. It is quite emotional | 0:52:30 | 0:52:35
with a lot of lifts. Your
speciality. Are you nervous, it is | 0:52:35 | 0:52:40
there more pressure with the show
dance? Yes because it is one of the | 0:52:40 | 0:52:44
last we will do together so we have
to get this right. Let us watch, if | 0:52:44 | 0:52:49
you don't mind. Oh, Debbie. Wow! It
is so beautiful. The total | 0:52:49 | 0:53:05
connection. You can feel that
connection. I cannot wait. Thank | 0:53:05 | 0:53:13
you. I cannot wait. The reason I did
this choreography is because of you. | 0:53:13 | 0:53:26
He has done such a good job. I have
loved every second of this | 0:53:26 | 0:53:32
experience and this show dance is
your dance and that is it. | 0:53:32 | 0:53:36

CHEERING AND APPLAUSE | 0:55:31 | 0:55:41
Beautiful. Beautiful show dance,
Debbie and Giovanni. So graceful. | 0:55:41 | 0:55:53
CHEERING
Listen to that, Debbie. So graceful. | 0:55:53 | 0:55:59
That played to your strengths.
Bruno, could it help Debbie fly away | 0:55:59 | 0:56:06
with the trophy? I cannot predict
the future but what I can say is you | 0:56:06 | 0:56:11
were flying like an angelic
ballerina. Every little girl has a | 0:56:11 | 0:56:17
dream that one day they become this
beautiful creature dancing, moving | 0:56:17 | 0:56:22
beautifully. You just did that. You
are the dream, my darling. Well | 0:56:22 | 0:56:27
done. Craig? It is dangerous to
consider doing classical ballet | 0:56:27 | 0:56:39
where we have old Darcey Bus stop
here. But I thought you pulled it | 0:56:39 | 0:56:45
off really well. I liked the
ballerina story. It requires an | 0:56:45 | 0:56:50
enormous amount of technique in the
turns, you were doing. I've really | 0:56:50 | 0:56:59
enjoyed it a lot. | 0:56:59 | 0:57:00
Darcey? | 0:57:00 | 0:57:04
You are so perfectly petite. Like
this magical sparkle for Giovanni to | 0:57:04 | 0:57:13
partner. It is so endearing. The
control and quality of every leg. | 0:57:13 | 0:57:22
Every piece of balance. How, after
the spinning lift, how many times | 0:57:22 | 0:57:27
did you go around, how did you find
your balance? It was extraordinary | 0:57:27 | 0:57:32
how you came round and you were
here, I am still standing. | 0:57:32 | 0:57:38
Extraordinary work, very beautiful. | 0:57:38 | 0:57:42
High praise from Darcey Bussell.
Surely? Quite emotional, Debbie. | 0:57:42 | 0:57:49
This Showdance shows your growth and
how far you have come from the | 0:57:49 | 0:57:53
beginning. At the beginning of the
season what I loved is you dared to | 0:57:53 | 0:57:58
dream and look at you in this final.
Your dreams have truly come true. | 0:57:58 | 0:58:04
I'm sure everybody on the outside
would love to put you in that little | 0:58:04 | 0:58:08
box and take you home with them and
watch you sparkle every week, it was | 0:58:08 | 0:58:12
amazing. Debbie is a dream. That is
your Showdance done. The judges | 0:58:12 | 0:58:19
loved it, let's help everyone at
home did. You will perform your | 0:58:19 | 0:58:22
favourite dance later, we all look
forward to that. Thank you. It is | 0:58:22 | 0:58:28
Debbie and Giovanni. Isn't she
brilliant? | 0:58:28 | 0:58:31
If you want to vote for your
favourite finalist - the | 0:58:31 | 0:58:33
details for all four couples
are on your screen right | 0:58:33 | 0:58:36
now so please show your support. | 0:58:36 | 0:58:40
Well done, that was quite
nerve-racking, wasn't it? Very. I | 0:58:40 | 0:58:45
could tell because normally you are
fine but your face, because it was | 0:58:45 | 0:58:48
tricky to learn and so many lifts,
was that it? No, it's the music, | 0:58:48 | 0:58:55
every time I've done it I've just
cried because the music is so | 0:58:55 | 0:58:58
emotional and it just takes over
you, so I was really worried that if | 0:58:58 | 0:59:03
I got too emotional in it that I
wouldn't pull everything off. It was | 0:59:03 | 0:59:08
just lovely. It was very lovely to
watch. Well done. | 0:59:08 | 0:59:11

There were so many to choose from,
how have you picked and what have | 0:59:45 | 0:59:48
you picked for your last dance? The
Reverend is particularly happy about | 0:59:48 | 0:59:56
that. You wanted to improve on it
even though it was brilliant the | 0:59:56 | 0:59:59
first time. Yes, we just love doing
it and there were a few things we | 0:59:59 | 1:00:03
felt we could get better. We can't
wait to see it. Thank you so much. | 1:00:03 | 1:00:10
Let's hear it for Debbie and
Giovanni. | 1:00:10 | 1:00:12
I love the Showdance is. | 1:00:12 | 1:00:14
Dancing next with their
no-rules Showdance is | 1:00:14 | 1:00:16
Gemma and her partner Aljaz. | 1:00:16 | 1:00:17
APPLAUSE | 1:00:17 | 1:00:19
Gemma will start off her
Showdance standing on | 1:00:19 | 1:00:21
giant letters that
spell out her name. | 1:00:21 | 1:00:31
And she's hoping it won't just be
the letters that light | 1:00:33 | 1:00:35
up the dance floor. | 1:00:35 | 1:00:36
The second ounce is our Showdance,
alias described it to me as | 1:00:36 | 1:00:40
celebrating me being able to dance.
We got foxtrot, Charleston and a bit | 1:00:40 | 1:00:45
of quickstep in there. So there is
quite a lot to remember during our | 1:00:45 | 1:00:49
Showdance. The most worrying aspect
is the lifts because I'm scared to | 1:00:49 | 1:00:54
death of hurting alias. We are going
to do that lift, we have to do it. I | 1:00:54 | 1:00:58
like spying. Let's go in and bother
them, come on. Gemma and Aljaz time. | 1:00:58 | 1:01:06
Surprise! We would love to come and
watch you two. Tell us about the | 1:01:06 | 1:01:12
Showdance. It's a very cabaret
feeling very powerful and strong. | 1:01:12 | 1:01:19
It's all about Gemma. As it should
be. We are so ready to show you. Oh! | 1:01:19 | 1:01:30
Strong. Yes! Amazing. I feel happy
and I feel like I want to dance. I | 1:01:30 | 1:01:40
want to join in, doing a little
shoulder shimmy, weren't we? Good | 1:01:40 | 1:01:44
luck and we will see you on the
night. Good luck! That's good. | 1:01:44 | 1:01:50
That's awesome. Those lifts, she is
so worried. She is smashing them. | 1:01:50 | 1:01:57
Normally we only see them on a
Saturday so to have them come and | 1:01:57 | 1:02:00
watch our rehearsals was pretty
special, actually. One more Saturday | 1:02:00 | 1:02:04
night. Got to do it. That's it. | 1:02:04 | 1:02:09

Yeah! Come on! How about that, Gemma

So excited. That had your name
written all over it. So much fun, | 1:04:21 | 1:04:30
you must have had doing that. Yes!
Gemma! | 1:04:30 | 1:04:38
From one dance diva to another... | 1:04:38 | 1:04:39
Craig. | 1:04:39 | 1:04:40
I liked it but I didn't love it, I'm
afraid. I'll tell you what I did | 1:04:40 | 1:04:49
like, the fact you danced outside
the box and danced in ways we have | 1:04:49 | 1:04:53
not seen you dance before, which is
really good. I thought it was | 1:04:53 | 1:04:57
daring. I could see in this dance
how you've actually really and truly | 1:04:57 | 1:05:02
grown as a dancer over the last
couple of months. It's fantastic, it | 1:05:02 | 1:05:06
really is. Darcey, what did you
think? Seeing another side of you, | 1:05:06 | 1:05:14
this sassy Gemma, you are really
selling it to night. The attack, the | 1:05:14 | 1:05:18
cool extensions, I loved the staging
and choreography. You really are | 1:05:18 | 1:05:22
working it so well. Just having that
neat quickstep, just that change in | 1:05:22 | 1:05:30
dynamics, and all based in Chicago,
I think its great work, great work, | 1:05:30 | 1:05:34
well done. There you go. I don't
agree with Craig, I'm sorry. I'm in | 1:05:34 | 1:05:44
shock, where did that come from? You
have absolutely graduated from being | 1:05:44 | 1:05:47
a beginner from week one. You've had
no dance experience and you've come | 1:05:47 | 1:05:53
out there, you've lifted that leg,
look with that fierce face and | 1:05:53 | 1:05:57
attitude. I mean, you just gave
every single thing you had, you | 1:05:57 | 1:06:03
focused straight in his eye, you
were not scared, you were not | 1:06:03 | 1:06:06
frightened, you gave it 1000%.
APPLAUSE | 1:06:06 | 1:06:13
She is in your corner, are you,
Bruno? Oh yes. Where have you been | 1:06:13 | 1:06:19
hiding, Gemma? You are a blonde
bombshell. That wasn't a quickstep, | 1:06:19 | 1:06:25
that was a quick sexy! That was
wonderful. A completely different | 1:06:25 | 1:06:28
character. You were erotic, sultry,
stunning out there. And the | 1:06:28 | 1:06:36
quickstep itself was actually
technically perfect. Thank you, | 1:06:36 | 1:06:44
judges, for your comments. We will
see you for your favourite Dan | 1:06:44 | 1:06:47
Slater on. Thank you so much. Come

Well done. It is going nuts up here
and when Shirley gave her verdict we | 1:07:09 | 1:07:13
were screaming. What were you trying

Gemma was so scared to go even on | 1:07:17 | 1:07:21

romantic Cinderella type dance. The | 1:09:11 | 1:09:16
great thing about Showdance is that
there is no rules. Katya has never | 1:09:16 | 1:09:19

really excited for this one. I know, | 1:09:29 | 1:09:36
Joe and Katya. Let's go and see
them. Hi! Hi! Hello, guys, how are | 1:09:36 | 1:09:43
you? We really want to watch your
Showdance. It's not quite perfect. | 1:09:43 | 1:09:50
Can we at least sit down. Please sit
down. Good luck. He's dancing alone | 1:09:50 | 1:09:57

Hello! That's so cute, so cute. His | 1:09:57 | 1:10:07
little face. You handsome prince,
you. The judges are going to weep. | 1:10:07 | 1:10:14
This is a crowd pleaser. Yeah.
Amazing. Amazing. That is such a | 1:10:14 | 1:10:22
good routine. Completely enthralled.
You want to finish on a high. That's | 1:10:22 | 1:10:28
guaranteed. It was really good doing
the dance in front of an audience | 1:10:28 | 1:10:32
for the first time and hopefully
everyone will enjoy it as much as | 1:10:32 | 1:10:36
Tess and Claudia. They've thrown

Did our prints charm you? Dreamy
Prince Joe. You have come a long | 1:13:06 | 1:13:16
way, you are a snappy move up. I
loved the mix of the light quickstep | 1:13:16 | 1:13:22
with the essence of jive, cheeky and
playful. Really nice. Timeless | 1:13:22 | 1:13:29

wants a part of your magical | 1:13:38 | 1:13:43

charming because I know this young
lady, it is her first time in the | 1:13:48 | 1:13:53

Definitely the king and queen of the | 1:14:06 | 1:14:17
ball. Week after week, you have the
original, creative. It had a | 1:14:17 | 1:14:27

dance. You are complete and absolute
showbiz and for the Showdance you | 1:14:47 | 1:14:55
turn it on the smile is there. You
just great. Talking of smiles, you | 1:14:55 | 1:15:02
look handsome when you smile, Craig.
You should do it more often. You | 1:15:02 | 1:15:11
still have another chance to impress
the judges and everybody at home. I | 1:15:11 | 1:15:15
am looking forward to your favourite
dance. Joe would capture, well done, | 1:15:15 | 1:15:20
my lovely. -- Joe and Katya.
Well done, two dances down. You must | 1:15:20 | 1:15:33
feel relieved. You are a brilliant
choreographer. You want to play to | 1:15:33 | 1:15:39
his strengths. The storytelling is
wonderful and leaving him alone with | 1:15:39 | 1:15:44
the shoe, that was risky. The ring
is not bad. Does it fit? | 1:15:44 | 1:15:52
The vote is still open,
and the details for | 1:15:52 | 1:15:54
all four finalists are up
on your screen - you | 1:15:54 | 1:15:56
can still vote until the vote
closes later in the show. | 1:15:56 | 1:15:59

Wardrobe are absolutely brilliant. | 1:16:20 | 1:16:28
Tell us what is your favourite? We
are doing the Charleston, I am very | 1:16:28 | 1:16:34
happy to say. Fantastic. | 1:16:34 | 1:16:40
Each of our couples have

meaning they have one more left. | 1:16:42 | 1:16:46

What an incredible final. Each of
the Couples has only one dance left | 1:19:53 | 1:20:00
to perform. | 1:20:00 | 1:20:04
Now, with the last chance
to win your votes and | 1:20:04 | 1:20:07
prove she's worthy champion,
it's Alexandra and | 1:20:07 | 1:20:08
Gorka. | 1:20:08 | 1:20:09
APPLAUSE | 1:20:09 | 1:20:10
Alexandra's routines have
gone from strength to | 1:20:10 | 1:20:12
strength and so has
their partnership. | 1:20:12 | 1:20:13
Their experience on the
show has created an | 1:20:13 | 1:20:15
unbreakable bond. | 1:20:15 | 1:20:17
Before they perform their final
dance together, let's take | 1:20:17 | 1:20:19
a look back at their
time on Strictly. | 1:20:19 | 1:20:27
This experience of Strictly will
stay with me for ever. It has been | 1:20:27 | 1:20:34
an incredible journey. Now I know
how to do a jive, cha-cha-cha, | 1:20:34 | 1:20:41
Argentine tango, Charleston, samba.
It brings me so much joy. Blackpool | 1:20:41 | 1:20:46
was a dream. We got a quickstep on
that ballroom floor. I thought, this | 1:20:46 | 1:20:52
is ridiculous, it is crazy. I owe
Gorka so much, he always made me | 1:20:52 | 1:20:59
feel like it is us together, we are
a team. No matter what happened, he | 1:20:59 | 1:21:04
would be there for me. I am beyond
proud of Alexandra. Every time we go | 1:21:04 | 1:21:11
onto the dance floor, it blew me
away, she never gave up. She has | 1:21:11 | 1:21:16
always been incredible. I do not
know if he realises what he has | 1:21:16 | 1:21:22
given me over the past few months. I
am so proud of you. Thank you for | 1:21:22 | 1:21:32
giving me something to enjoy. Thank
you for giving me by life back. You | 1:21:32 | 1:21:36
have done us proud. I love the fact
we get to choose our favourite dance | 1:21:36 | 1:21:44
of the series. The music, the dress,
the choreography. Everything felt | 1:21:44 | 1:21:50
right. I have to channel Tina Turner
and go for it. The last time I will | 1:21:50 | 1:21:57
be holding her, dancing, looking
into her eyes and saying, let's do | 1:21:57 | 1:22:01
it one more time. It is making me
emotional. The fact we made it this | 1:22:01 | 1:22:08
far, I believe my family are proud
and most of all I think my mum would | 1:22:08 | 1:22:16
be the proudest mother on earth. To
do something so great. | 1:22:16 | 1:22:24
Dancing their jive,
in a bid to be your | 1:22:24 | 1:22:26
Strictly Come Dancing champions,
Alexandra Burke and Gorka Marquez. | 1:22:26 | 1:22:32
MUSIC: Proud Mary by Tina Turner | 1:22:32 | 1:22:42
CHEERING AND APPLAUSE | 1:24:06 | 1:24:16
Oh, my goodness me. How about that,
ladies and gentlemen? Oh, wow. | 1:24:21 | 1:24:34
CHEERING
Just listen to that, my darling. I | 1:24:34 | 1:24:42
hope you can hear that at home. The
energy you create is extraordinary. | 1:24:42 | 1:24:49
Gorka is down. He cannot keep up.
The hairs on my arms are standing on | 1:24:49 | 1:24:56
end. Shirley and Bruno were on their
feet. It was a beautiful thing. The | 1:24:56 | 1:25:05
stakes are high, surely, have they
done enough? This is pure brilliance | 1:25:05 | 1:25:10
from the beginning to the end. You
display the correct posture and had | 1:25:10 | 1:25:16
amazing leg action. Your energy, how
you deliver, it is your character. I | 1:25:16 | 1:25:22
have seen you around and you always
sparkle. Amazing choreography. You | 1:25:22 | 1:25:28
have done magnificent. I want to
congratulate you. What a first final | 1:25:28 | 1:25:37
for you, Gorka. Did Alexandra saved
the best till last? It was like | 1:25:37 | 1:25:48
watching Tina Turner live. It is an
instant classic. My favourite dance | 1:25:48 | 1:25:53
of the season. I am sure it will go
down in the Strictly Come Dancing | 1:25:53 | 1:25:58
hall of fame. Between Jay McGuiness,
Jill Halfpenny, now we have | 1:25:58 | 1:26:07
Alexandra's jive. Craig. Fantastic.
So well deserved. Craig is on his | 1:26:07 | 1:26:27
feet, a standing ovation. Well done.
Darcey. You are shining so bright. | 1:26:27 | 1:26:34
It is not just the silver costume.
You are out doing Gorka. I cannot | 1:26:34 | 1:26:40
believe you did this on week four.
Your energy and performance. Please | 1:26:40 | 1:26:46
tell me when you will perform next,
after Strictly, I want to see what | 1:26:46 | 1:26:51
you do next. It is a lovely thing to
say. You lifted the room with your | 1:26:51 | 1:26:59
energy. They can do no more. It is
down to you and your votes. What a | 1:26:59 | 1:27:07
dance, Alexandra and Gorka. Thank
you so much. | 1:27:07 | 1:27:11
Alexandra and Gorka have done
all they can, but have you? | 1:27:11 | 1:27:14
The information for
all four finalists is | 1:27:14 | 1:27:16
on the screen now so you can
vote for your winner. | 1:27:16 | 1:27:26
Wow that looked overwhelming. I know
that song means a lot to you. It | 1:27:26 | 1:27:31
does. Let's talk about your support
network, your boyfriend Josh was | 1:27:31 | 1:27:37
sobbing, your mum and dad are here,
we saw them on the video, they've | 1:27:37 | 1:27:42
looked after you as well as this man
through the whole thing, haven't | 1:27:42 | 1:27:44
they? They have. I don't want to
cry. I just want to say I'm | 1:27:44 | 1:27:48
grateful. You can. It has been a
tough journey and it is the last one | 1:27:48 | 1:27:55
with you which I'm gutted about. It
has brought so much joy to my life | 1:27:55 | 1:27:58
and I'm so happy, so happy, just
enjoying the rest of the night. We | 1:27:58 | 1:28:05
love you. | 1:28:05 | 1:28:06

Well done. Well done to you. We
never say well done to Gorka but we | 1:28:29 | 1:28:38
do mean it. Still to come, Gemma and
Aljaz perform their Blackpool | 1:28:38 | 1:28:42
American smooth. Well done, babe. | 1:28:42 | 1:28:48
Next, with their very last
chance to impress you | 1:28:48 | 1:28:50
tonight and win the trophy
is Debbie and Giovanni. | 1:28:50 | 1:28:52
APPLAUSE | 1:28:52 | 1:28:54
Strictly has given Debbie
her sparkle back and | 1:28:54 | 1:28:56
she's enjoyed every minute of it. | 1:28:56 | 1:28:59
She's about to perform her last
dance with Giovanni but first | 1:28:59 | 1:29:01
here's what Strictly
has meant to her. | 1:29:01 | 1:29:07
I've loved Strictly. It's 100 times
better than I could possibly have | 1:29:09 | 1:29:18
imagined, particularly working with
Giovanni. It's Giovanni! When I got | 1:29:18 | 1:29:23
Debbie I was so happy. She's an
amazing partner and friend. OK, | 1:29:23 | 1:29:29
let's do it again. We have laughed
every single day and it's a great | 1:29:29 | 1:29:32
feeling to have a friend that you
can say anything too and also that | 1:29:32 | 1:29:35
they laugh at your jokes. Salsa
time! Yeah! We've had so many | 1:29:35 | 1:29:42
amazing moments where the judges'
comments have completely taken me by | 1:29:42 | 1:29:46
surprise. Not least when Craig fell
at my feet, I was absolutely | 1:29:46 | 1:29:51
speechless. That doesn't happen very
often. Being in the final of | 1:29:51 | 1:29:56
Strictly come dancing is everything,
I've had the best time of my life. | 1:29:56 | 1:29:59
This is the cherry on the cake. Good
luck, smashed it on Saturday, we | 1:29:59 | 1:30:03
know you can do it. We love you so
much. I want you to know how proud I | 1:30:03 | 1:30:09
am of you and I know your dad would
be doubly proud. | 1:30:09 | 1:30:14
After I lost Paul I lost a lot of
confidence. What Giovanni has given | 1:30:14 | 1:30:19
me is that confidence back that I
can do it on my own and that I'm | 1:30:19 | 1:30:26
actually OK. I will always look back
on Strictly with very happy | 1:30:26 | 1:30:32
memories. So this is our last dance
together. I can't believe, the Wicks | 1:30:32 | 1:30:36
have just flown by. Really sad it's
over. -- the weeks have flown by. | 1:30:36 | 1:30:44
Giovanni and I have chosen the
Argentine tango because it felt | 1:30:44 | 1:30:47
electric.
The first time round Craig mentioned | 1:30:47 | 1:30:49
I need to loosen my legs on the
gauchos so I will work on those a | 1:30:49 | 1:30:54
lot this week. I'm really hoping I
can give a very emotional | 1:30:54 | 1:30:59
performance. Shall we do it? Let's
do it. Let's go. | 1:30:59 | 1:31:04
APPLAUSE | 1:31:04 | 1:31:06
Dancing their Argentine tango,
in a bid to be your | 1:31:06 | 1:31:09
Strictly Come Dancing champions,
Debbie McGee and Giovanni Pernice. | 1:31:09 | 1:31:11
MUSIC: Por Una Cabeza | 1:31:13 | 1:31:15
CHEERING AND APPLAUSE | 1:33:00 | 1:33:06
Stunning final performance from
Debbie and Giovanni. Just when you | 1:33:08 | 1:33:16
thought things couldn't get any more
dramatic, the intensity and passion. | 1:33:16 | 1:33:22
Those pins of yours. You had it all.
Bruno's on his feet again. It was | 1:33:22 | 1:33:31
sublime. What a tango. You have
really set the bench mark for the | 1:33:31 | 1:33:39
Argentine tango. It was even better,
if possible than the first time | 1:33:39 | 1:33:42
around. But honestly and truthfully,
this is not a judge, this is Bruno | 1:33:42 | 1:33:49
talking. You really have exceeded my
expectations week after week after | 1:33:49 | 1:33:52
week. You have been such a source of
inspiration, for me included and | 1:33:52 | 1:33:58
millions of people out there. They
say, you get to a certain age and UI | 1:33:58 | 1:34:03
history. Well, you are not, you are
getting better. Better and better. | 1:34:03 | 1:34:11
Phenomenal, Debbie. For the
60-year-olds well said. He's having | 1:34:11 | 1:34:21
a lovely night. 62 in your case,
Bruno. | 1:34:21 | 1:34:25
LAUGHTER
I still move better than you. | 1:34:25 | 1:34:33
Behave. I absolutely, totally 100%
agree with Bruno. This is not the | 1:34:33 | 1:34:41
end of anything, my darling, for
you. It's a new beginning and it is | 1:34:41 | 1:34:45
just stunning watching you. Darcey,
what do you think? Debbie, you are | 1:34:45 | 1:34:55
stunningly fearless, how you come
out, the finesse and strength of | 1:34:55 | 1:34:59
every move you create. That balance
is extraordinary. You weren't even | 1:34:59 | 1:35:05
putting your heel down. It is
stunning to watch, the control, the | 1:35:05 | 1:35:10
mind of the legs, I could go on. You
just blow me away. Blown us all | 1:35:10 | 1:35:15
away. Surely, you were emotional the
last time Debbie Dunst the Argentine | 1:35:15 | 1:35:20
tango, how do you feel now -- Debbie
was dancing the Argentine tango. You | 1:35:20 | 1:35:26
have been outstanding. I want to
know how you choreographed that. You | 1:35:26 | 1:35:31
are so sensitive and you are so
caring and you allow her to come out | 1:35:31 | 1:35:34
and be so daring in every single
thing she has done. How does it feel | 1:35:34 | 1:35:39
to dance with him too, Debbie? Is he
just amazing? From day one he just | 1:35:39 | 1:35:46
wanted me to shine and all he has
done is put me first. And looked | 1:35:46 | 1:35:51
after me. And you deserve every
second of it. Every second. | 1:35:51 | 1:35:59
Brilliant work, both of you.
Brilliant work, brilliant | 1:35:59 | 1:36:04
partnership, thank you, judges. It
is up to you at home now. Debbie and | 1:36:04 | 1:36:09
Giovanni. Go on my lovely. | 1:36:09 | 1:36:15
Which couple do you want to lift
the glitterball trophy? | 1:36:15 | 1:36:17
All the information
you need is on screen now. | 1:36:17 | 1:36:21
That must mean so much to hear those
comments. You've made a great | 1:36:21 | 1:36:26
friend, but as you said, you've made
your mum and your sister, both in | 1:36:26 | 1:36:29
the audience, incredibly proud. All
of my family and my brother at home, | 1:36:29 | 1:36:35
we couldn't get enough tickets, all
of my friends who have just been | 1:36:35 | 1:36:38
behind me and my Strictly family,
have just made the whole thing | 1:36:38 | 1:36:44
incredible. I know. You said this is
the best Strictly you've ever been | 1:36:44 | 1:36:49
part of. Definitely, the best
Strictly ever. It's not just about | 1:36:49 | 1:36:53
dancing, it's feeling good every
time you go into Henry Purcell, | 1:36:53 | 1:36:56
feeling great with a great, great
friend, Debbie. Well done to the two | 1:36:56 | 1:37:02
of you. | 1:37:02 | 1:37:03

is their American | 1:37:56 | 1:37:58
smooth from Blackpool. | 1:37:58 | 1:38:00
At the end of it they head
off on a tram and this | 1:38:00 | 1:38:04
time round it's going to be
especially poignant as | 1:38:04 | 1:38:06
this dance is the final stop
on their Strictly journey. | 1:38:06 | 1:38:08
APPLAUSE | 1:38:08 | 1:38:09
I would describe Strictly as one of
the scariest most exciting | 1:38:14 | 1:38:20
roller-coaster rides but it's one of
those roller-coaster rides no one | 1:38:20 | 1:38:22
wants to get off. Gemma and I
really, really got along from the | 1:38:22 | 1:38:31
first day on. She's been making me
proud for the last 14 weeks. It has | 1:38:31 | 1:38:35
been tough at times but literally
the thing that has got me through it | 1:38:35 | 1:38:39
is Aljaz. Is very kind and very
patient. To get through this whole | 1:38:39 | 1:38:46
season the way we did, we are having
so much fun, and I will never forget | 1:38:46 | 1:38:50
that. I would like to say to Aljaz,
a massive, massive thank you, | 1:38:50 | 1:38:56
because he's changed my life. He's
given me confidence that I never | 1:38:56 | 1:39:01
had. He's given me a belief in
myself that I never had. I couldn't | 1:39:01 | 1:39:06
have asked for a better partner.
I've really made an incredible | 1:39:06 | 1:39:10
friend in Gemma. All of my family
and friends have been so supportive | 1:39:10 | 1:39:13
and I'm really lucky they are behind
me no matter what. It's been | 1:39:13 | 1:39:18
absolutely fabulous to watch her
progression. To see her get this far | 1:39:18 | 1:39:22
in something she has never done
before is amazing. Good luck, auntie | 1:39:22 | 1:39:27
Gemma, you can do this. You've
worked so, so hard for this and you | 1:39:27 | 1:39:32
can do it. My height was getting the
tens in Blackpool, and my mum in the | 1:39:32 | 1:39:38
audience, everything was beautiful
about that darts and that's why we | 1:39:38 | 1:39:41
have to do it again in the final.
The American smooth in the final as | 1:39:41 | 1:39:47
a favourite pic, we couldn't do
anything else. We are going to do | 1:39:47 | 1:39:51
our last dance this Saturday. I
know, it's going to make me cry. | 1:39:51 | 1:39:55
Come here. I've had the best time
with you. This experience is going | 1:39:55 | 1:40:02
to stay with me for ever. It's just
been incredible. | 1:40:02 | 1:40:07
APPLAUSE | 1:40:10 | 1:40:13

You did it. Gemma and Aljaz dancing
together for the final time. Come on | 1:42:15 | 1:42:26
over. Emotions are running high.
Such a wonderful routine. Well done. | 1:42:26 | 1:42:34
Your favourite of the series. It is
our last one. Your last Dana Vollmer | 1:42:34 | 1:42:41
show. It is never the last dance
with you, never. -- your last dance | 1:42:41 | 1:42:49
on the show. It was classy, elegant,
everything Blackpool is not, | 1:42:49 | 1:42:54
darling. How dare you, blasphemy! It
never happened all series and in the | 1:42:54 | 1:43:07
final... Bruno. I absolutely loved
it. It was really good. Well done, | 1:43:07 | 1:43:18
my darling. Naughty boy. Put it down
and behave yourself. Darcey. OK, I | 1:43:18 | 1:43:32
am ready. Gemma, you should be
really proud. It has all the magic | 1:43:32 | 1:43:37
of Blackpool. You loved it there and
you brought that here performing it | 1:43:37 | 1:43:43
again. It was clean and Sabine, the
quality, beautiful, graceful. -- and | 1:43:43 | 1:43:51
it was Serena. It was such an
assured performance. Really. | 1:43:51 | 1:43:58
Shirley. It was a musical
extravaganza from a young lady who | 1:44:02 | 1:44:10
has turned into a beautiful dancer.
Your changes, different speed, | 1:44:10 | 1:44:16
steps. Your beautiful frame. I
remember it at the beginning and | 1:44:16 | 1:44:21
look at it now, it is so
professional. Your journey has been | 1:44:21 | 1:44:26
one of just constant improvement. I
hope everybody recognises that. How | 1:44:26 | 1:44:36
was the final dance for you? This
was your turning point. You turned | 1:44:36 | 1:44:44
up in full bloom, like a beautiful
rose, wonderful. I am pleased to say | 1:44:44 | 1:44:50
you are still flowing, you are still
glowing. It demands a song. | 1:44:50 | 1:44:59
# You are still glowing. Thank you,
judges. Nice. You have done a great | 1:44:59 | 1:45:12
job. Well done. | 1:45:12 | 1:45:19
That was Gemma and
Aljaz's final dance. | 1:45:19 | 1:45:21
But are they your winners? | 1:45:21 | 1:45:23
All the information you need
to vote for all four | 1:45:23 | 1:45:27

The final dance, you have done all
you can and you adored that dance. I | 1:45:36 | 1:45:41
remember after you danced it you
said it was the best night ever. Did | 1:45:41 | 1:45:45
it feel as good? It did, I have my
family and friends. Can we remind | 1:45:45 | 1:45:52
everyone how many years your mother
tried to get tickets. Six. And now | 1:45:52 | 1:45:58
she has been three times and once in
Blackpool! | 1:45:58 | 1:46:00
The scores are in. | 1:46:00 | 1:46:01

Shirley Ballas. | 1:46:08 | 1:46:11
Bruno Tonioli. | 1:46:11 | 1:46:20
That is your highest score. Gemma! I
have never been prouder of anyone in | 1:46:20 | 1:46:34
my life. You delivered three
incredible dancers and thank you so | 1:46:34 | 1:46:38

Still to come, our eliminated

APPLAUSE | 1:46:52 | 1:46:58
Over the series Katya has
worked Joe harder and | 1:46:58 | 1:47:00
harder, made the
choreography tougher and | 1:47:00 | 1:47:02
tougher and every week Joe's
got better and better. | 1:47:02 | 1:47:06
They're determined to
make this last dance | 1:47:06 | 1:47:08
the best so far. | 1:47:08 | 1:47:09
Let's take a look back
at their Strictly story. | 1:47:09 | 1:47:19
Being on Strictly has been the most
intense, brilliant and bonkers | 1:47:22 | 1:47:27
experience of my life. When we
started, neither of us thought how | 1:47:27 | 1:47:33
far we could go. The tango was
particularly challenging and I lost | 1:47:33 | 1:47:38
my concentration and it went badly
wrong. It hit him hard. We did have | 1:47:38 | 1:47:46
weeks when he thought he cannot do
it. I thought I need to fight for | 1:47:46 | 1:47:52
it, it will not be given to me. The
paso doble was a breakthrough. It | 1:47:52 | 1:47:59
required self belief and confidence.
I was proud. It was so well | 1:47:59 | 1:48:03
received. It is a ten. The
confidence built throughout the | 1:48:03 | 1:48:11
whole competition, it was incredible
to see. It feels amazing to never | 1:48:11 | 1:48:15
have been in a dance-off, to have
that support. I am proud of Joe | 1:48:15 | 1:48:23
being on Strictly. I love all of his
dancers. We love you very much. We | 1:48:23 | 1:48:28
are rooting for you 100%. Katya is
the right partner. She knows when to | 1:48:28 | 1:48:39
use the carrot and when to use the
stick. I pushed hard but the result | 1:48:39 | 1:48:44
was worth it. I am massively
grateful. We are doing the favourite | 1:48:44 | 1:48:49
dance. The Charleston. It showcases
how much trust we have in each | 1:48:49 | 1:48:55
other. I cannot wait to do the last
dance in the final together. I am so | 1:48:55 | 1:49:03
proud of you. Come on, partner. | 1:49:03 | 1:49:15

Magnificent. Just superb. Listen to
that. CHEERING | 1:51:04 | 1:51:16
Your last dance. What a dance. I am
not surprised you are worn out. That | 1:51:16 | 1:51:23
was Joe's favourite dance, was it
one of yours? Without a doubt. Thank | 1:51:23 | 1:51:29
goodness you brought it back and we
can see it again. You are a natural | 1:51:29 | 1:51:34
dancer. How you express every joy as
you perform with all that detail. | 1:51:34 | 1:51:40
The legs, arms, precision of the
lifts. You have topped it. This is | 1:51:40 | 1:51:48
the perfect end to a great final.
Surely. I agree, this is the way to | 1:51:48 | 1:52:01
close the show. I said many weeks
ago, I called you dark horse Joe, | 1:52:01 | 1:52:09
detailed Joe, you never gave in, not
an inch. You pushed the boundaries, | 1:52:09 | 1:52:15
lifted this young lady, dumb things
I never thought you would be able to | 1:52:15 | 1:52:18
do when I saw you in week one. You
were discombobulated but now | 1:52:18 | 1:52:29
completely synchronised together.
You have turned into a magnificent | 1:52:29 | 1:52:32
dancer. Brilliant. Rising to the
occasion. Clever, exciting, | 1:52:32 | 1:52:39
original. This has been a fantastic
series. Everybody tonight... I do | 1:52:39 | 1:52:54
not know who will win but you have
given us a fantastic show. Not just | 1:52:54 | 1:52:59
as a judge but somebody who watches
from the outside. Your last comment | 1:52:59 | 1:53:13
of Strictly Come Dancing 2017,
please be nice. Only one word will | 1:53:13 | 1:53:18
describe that. It has three
syllables. It begins with F. | 1:53:18 | 1:53:23
Fabulous. It is a beautiful word and
a beautiful performance. Will they | 1:53:23 | 1:53:33
marched off with the title, that is
up to you. Well done. | 1:53:33 | 1:53:41

started you were like, I just don't | 1:53:51 | 1:53:55
know. It was not always perfect. She
persevered and cracked the whip. | 1:53:55 | 1:54:08
What I love about you, you have not
been able to stop crying. | 1:54:08 | 1:54:16

the final Leader Board. | 1:54:51 | 1:54:59

But now, here's what Strictly fans
up and down the country have had | 1:59:30 | 1:59:34
to say about this year's series. | 1:59:34 | 1:59:37
Strictly has been really amazing
this year. What a brilliant series. | 1:59:47 | 1:59:51
The highlight of my week. A lovely
window of joy. The quality of | 1:59:51 | 1:59:58
dancing has been sky-high. My
favourite moment this series has | 1:59:58 | 2:00:00
been the Charleston Alexandra did. I
cook spicy curries but nothing is a | 2:00:00 | 2:00:06
spicy as Alexandra's tango. When he
did the splits. How did he manage | 2:00:06 | 2:00:11
that? I can't do that. Debbie McGee
is almost as flexible as me. Debbie | 2:00:11 | 2:00:19
is Lady. It is strange for Craig to
get quite so enthusiastic. When he | 2:00:19 | 2:00:24
did the purring, he cracks me up.
The presentation has been amazing. | 2:00:24 | 2:00:31
The jive has been the best I've ever
seen a painter and decorator do and | 2:00:31 | 2:00:37
I should know. My favourite was
geo-. The paso doble. He's just gone | 2:00:37 | 2:00:42
like that because he's not a dancer
but he is now. The professional | 2:00:42 | 2:00:46
dancers are really good this year. I
think the choreography is brilliant. | 2:00:46 | 2:00:51
The Lala theme was so good. The time
that Oti walked down the catwalk was | 2:00:51 | 2:01:00
brilliant. We can all appreciate
him. I think you have earned your | 2:01:00 | 2:01:07
licence to thrill. He has so much
enthusiasm. Amazing, that was so | 2:01:07 | 2:01:13
good. One of my all-time favourite
moments on the Strictly was Darcey. | 2:01:13 | 2:01:17
If you're not in that final I'm
going to get into his speedo Koo. | 2:01:17 | 2:01:21
Oh! Dead honest and they are funny.
-- into hits speedos. You are a | 2:01:21 | 2:01:32
sassy lady. She enjoyed it and you
could see it on her face. I was | 2:01:32 | 2:01:36
sorry that she went as early as she
did. It was a roller-coaster. | 2:01:36 | 2:01:40
Charlotte, what a wonderful jive she
had. Charlotte looked like a movie | 2:01:40 | 2:01:44
star, utterly beautiful as a dancer.
I really liked Aston, he had great | 2:01:44 | 2:01:49
energy and style. He was really
good. Shame he went out so early. | 2:01:49 | 2:01:55
Jonnie Peacock's jive was awesome. I
don't know how he did those steps. | 2:01:55 | 2:02:01
He's a massive inspiration. You
might have thought it was tough on | 2:02:01 | 2:02:04
you but your kicks and flicks were
outstanding. Surely as a new | 2:02:04 | 2:02:08
addition has been outstanding. She
had a Big Cass taking over from Len. | 2:02:08 | 2:02:15
When Mollie did the Charleston. That
dance got their seal of approval. | 2:02:15 | 2:02:20
The cutest couple on strip me. I
think we should leave it to that, | 2:02:20 | 2:02:24
Douvan. Tess and Claudia are a great
double act. Claudia's jokes, just | 2:02:24 | 2:02:33
like this pizza, extra Chizzy. OK,
if it's not too much trouble, don't | 2:02:33 | 2:02:38
worry, I will ask her myself, she's
never been like this before. Debbie | 2:02:38 | 2:02:42
and Al Yash are a perfect pair.
Gemma has blossomed. She's honest, | 2:02:42 | 2:02:47
down to earth and she has tried. The
best week, Blackpool. Fabulous show. | 2:02:47 | 2:02:53
I like the paso doble. I was
surprised nobody bumped into each | 2:02:53 | 2:02:59
other. My favourite Strictly week
was Halloween. The hair, the | 2:02:59 | 2:03:03
make-up, the set, the music,
perfect. This year's Strictly has | 2:03:03 | 2:03:08
gone like a rocket. Simon Rimmer
dressed as Buzz Lightyear. That | 2:03:08 | 2:03:14
really suited him. I loved Reverend
Richard, great way to start the | 2:03:14 | 2:03:17
season with him coming down on the
cloud. Great entertainment. That's | 2:03:17 | 2:03:21
what Strictly is about, some of who
has never danced before going for it | 2:03:21 | 2:03:24
and at times making a fool of
themselves. The funniest moment was | 2:03:24 | 2:03:27
Ruth. It wasn't that she fell over.
Stroke of genius. Was it like this? | 2:03:27 | 2:03:36
No! I've loved this series. It comes
to an end so what are you going to | 2:03:36 | 2:03:42
do when Strictly finishes? Keep

While the vote is counted
and independently verified, | 2:09:07 | 2:09:10
it's time to celebrate this year's
cast of celebrities. | 2:09:10 | 2:09:13
Before they perform what promises
to be an unmissable group dance, | 2:09:13 | 2:09:16
let's take a look at what they have
loved most about the series. | 2:09:16 | 2:09:21
One word to describe Strictly. I
can't explain it in one word. | 2:09:25 | 2:09:30
Magical. Exquisite. Amazing. Launch
show was amazing, it was like doing | 2:09:30 | 2:09:40
the Oscars, not that I'd ever done
the Oscars. It felt glamorous, | 2:09:40 | 2:09:45
sparkly and magical. Why would you
not want to be part of this? That's | 2:09:45 | 2:09:48
when it felt real that we doing
Strictly. It's Janette! Janette was | 2:09:48 | 2:09:53
my topic as you can see by the
reaction. Oti was the perfect | 2:09:53 | 2:09:58
person. I knew we would have fun. I
wouldn't have minded who I got but | 2:09:58 | 2:10:02
when I got Anton it was Mike Cherry
on the cake. I've been in this | 2:10:02 | 2:10:07
illustrious career for 40 years and
never worked so hard in my life. | 2:10:07 | 2:10:10
It's absolutely exhausting both
mentally and physically. You start | 2:10:10 | 2:10:16
off on a Monday starting with a new
dance and you are thinking, how is | 2:10:16 | 2:10:19
this going to go? I used to have
tearful Tuesday going I can't do | 2:10:19 | 2:10:23
this dance in front of people, it's
not going to happen. You have to get | 2:10:23 | 2:10:27
your feet in the right place at the
right time over and over again. Oti | 2:10:27 | 2:10:32
pushed me, I said I was struggling
with this move. Let's it again. | 2:10:32 | 2:10:36
There was always a moment in the
week when the dance finally clicked. | 2:10:36 | 2:10:41
Yes! The first dance is of course
the most nerve-racking and what | 2:10:41 | 2:10:47
really scares you is when you stand
there and he says, dancing the tango | 2:10:47 | 2:10:52
Brian Connelly... And you go, here
we go, this is for real now. It was | 2:10:52 | 2:11:00
terrifying. I could literally feel
my knees knocking. I actually | 2:11:00 | 2:11:03
thought my heart was going to stop.
Boom boom, boom boom. It felt like | 2:11:03 | 2:11:09
somebody poured concrete into my
shoes, that's how bad it was. You | 2:11:09 | 2:11:13
can't think about the millions
watching at home because that will | 2:11:13 | 2:11:16
freak you out. You only have one
chance so figures crossed it goes | 2:11:16 | 2:11:20
well. It was difficult but Janette
somehow, some way made it so easy. | 2:11:20 | 2:11:28
Facing the judges is terrifying. As
a comedian I've been critiqued in | 2:11:28 | 2:11:31
the past but not by four people
standing straight in front of me. It | 2:11:31 | 2:11:34
was weird but it was wonderful.
Perhaps Craig wasn't overwhelmed | 2:11:34 | 2:11:40
with enthusiasm for my dancing. All
the problems really began, darling, | 2:11:40 | 2:11:45
when the cloud actually landed,
didn't they? | 2:11:45 | 2:11:46
LAUGHTER
Perhaps jealousy on his part, I | 2:11:46 | 2:11:53
can't comment. I hadn't been getting
the most positive comments. You had | 2:11:53 | 2:11:56
a lot of mistakes and tended to go
off time. But then came at the tango | 2:11:56 | 2:12:01
and I got four sixes and they said
nice things. Great improvement, well | 2:12:01 | 2:12:05
done. You can't believe four sixes
could mean so much to a person but | 2:12:05 | 2:12:10
it really did. You can't go through
ace show like Strictly with such | 2:12:10 | 2:12:13
highs without there being some blows
and I think for me it was being in | 2:12:13 | 2:12:17
the dance off is a terrifying
experience. There is something you | 2:12:17 | 2:12:23
gain from being in the dance off, it
kind of makes you stronger. I didn't | 2:12:23 | 2:12:26
want to leave because I had such a
great time. Suddenly losing the | 2:12:26 | 2:12:30
place on the show you love is
crushing. The last thing you want to | 2:12:30 | 2:12:34
do is go home but that's how it
works. I don't think Strictly can be | 2:12:34 | 2:12:38
competitive anything I've ever done,
or will compare to anything I will | 2:12:38 | 2:12:42
ever do. I, of course, would like to
have won but there was something I | 2:12:42 | 2:12:47
wasn't doing right and it was
dancing. Strictly for me was a | 2:12:47 | 2:12:53
dream. A big magical, crazy, sparkly
dream. It was just really, really, | 2:12:53 | 2:13:00
really good fun. I wanted to show
throughout the series that there is | 2:13:00 | 2:13:03
so much that disabled people can do.
I feel I've climbed my Everest and | 2:13:03 | 2:13:07
stuck a flag at the top. I think I'm
a different person, a nicer person, | 2:13:07 | 2:13:11
if I'm honest. I didn't have any
idea how much I would fall in love | 2:13:11 | 2:13:15
with dancing. It was an
extraordinary experience, just one | 2:13:15 | 2:13:20
of those beautiful, magical shows
and why wouldn't you want to be a | 2:13:20 | 2:13:22
part of it? | 2:13:22 | 2:13:27
What a cast. | 2:13:27 | 2:13:28
Each one of our celebrities
bringing their own unique | 2:13:28 | 2:13:30
something to the ballroom. | 2:13:30 | 2:13:31
We couldn't let them leave
without one more turn | 2:13:31 | 2:13:33
on the dance floor. | 2:13:33 | 2:13:34
Performing a group dance
that will bring a smile | 2:13:34 | 2:13:36
to your face, please welcome... | 2:13:36 | 2:13:38

See you on Christmas Day. | 2:18:12 | 2:18:13
I'm now joined by the cast of 2017. | 2:18:13 | 2:18:20
It is lovely you are back. How proud
I knew of the four finalists? I am a | 2:18:20 | 2:18:29
Strictly super fan and watching the
final tonight, the best seats in the | 2:18:29 | 2:18:35
house, the Showdances were
wonderful, the best experience in my | 2:18:35 | 2:18:38
life and I could not be prouder to
be part of the show. It was | 2:18:38 | 2:18:44
emotional. We have watched them from
week one and watching them tonight | 2:18:44 | 2:18:50
was unbelievable. It is annoying
when I say this, but all of you | 2:18:50 | 2:18:55
together, isn't it? Jonnie. Haircut.
Also I believe you are a nominee in | 2:18:55 | 2:19:06
Sports Personality Of The Year.
Whatever happens... I will probably | 2:19:06 | 2:19:14
be hungover. He will not be, he is a
sportsman. Honestly, from all of us | 2:19:14 | 2:19:22
at Strictly, you have won. Ruth,
always smiling. What is it like to | 2:19:22 | 2:19:31
be back? The smile has stayed today,
the first time I have been here, | 2:19:31 | 2:19:38
danced, and not been terrified.
Aston. Are you eight seconds away | 2:19:38 | 2:19:46
from having that baby? Yes. Are you
all right? We will let you know. | 2:19:46 | 2:19:52
Thank you. | 2:19:52 | 2:19:52
We're moments away from announcing
this year's winner. | 2:19:52 | 2:19:54
Before that, we have to hear
from one more group of people. | 2:19:54 | 2:19:57
Our dance superheroes, the judges. | 2:19:57 | 2:20:07
My first year on Strictly has been
the most amazing experience. No | 2:20:07 | 2:20:14
other series has been such a
roller-coaster ride. Lots of | 2:20:14 | 2:20:20
surprises. We have had every
emotion. The level of dancing on | 2:20:20 | 2:20:25
this series has been second to none.
Alexandra, she is a real artist. She | 2:20:25 | 2:20:35
does every movement from the tip of
her toe to the top of her head. She | 2:20:35 | 2:20:40
makes everything natural. She did
the salsa and brought a sense he | 2:20:40 | 2:20:45
will appeal and how she interacted
with Gorka was brilliant. The detail | 2:20:45 | 2:20:50
was exceptional. It was technically
complicated. You never sensed that. | 2:20:50 | 2:20:56
You have to put every inch of you
into the dance and that is what | 2:20:56 | 2:21:00
Alexandra does. The lovely Debbie
McGee managed to capture the | 2:21:00 | 2:21:07
character of each dance. Her
technique is brilliant. She has been | 2:21:07 | 2:21:13
something else. I do not believe she
is real. When she did that tango, | 2:21:13 | 2:21:17
she had the sharpest head movements.
Every inch was absolute perfection. | 2:21:17 | 2:21:26
The first 40 so early has never
happened. It was a tango | 2:21:26 | 2:21:30
masterclass. Her love of dance is
genuine. Gemma is a deserving | 2:21:30 | 2:21:39
finalist because she worked hard.
Her strength is ballroom. Beautiful | 2:21:39 | 2:21:43
posture. She rose up to the
occasion. She embraced the | 2:21:43 | 2:21:50
situation. She enjoyed having the
other performers on the floor with | 2:21:50 | 2:21:55
her, it gave her confidence. She
left me speechless. If you watch her | 2:21:55 | 2:22:03
from week one, she skyrocketed. The
last man standing. Joe. He can be | 2:22:03 | 2:22:12
exceptional in the ballroom and
incredibly confident in Latin. The | 2:22:12 | 2:22:16
quick step, I saw he could apply
technique. Very difficult for a male | 2:22:16 | 2:22:23
celebrity to hold up his frame. He
made his look beautiful. His | 2:22:23 | 2:22:29
footwork is quick, his smile is
bright. It was dreamy. He was the | 2:22:29 | 2:22:35
dark horse but now he is there. All
four have worked so hard to get | 2:22:35 | 2:22:43
here. They are incredible. They all
want the trophy. It is incredibly | 2:22:43 | 2:22:49
exciting, seeing them week after
week producing wonderful dancers. | 2:22:49 | 2:22:55
Nobody could argue if any one were
to win. They are all worthy in their | 2:22:55 | 2:23:01
own right.
APPLAUSE | 2:23:01 | 2:23:06
Thank you. | 2:23:06 | 2:23:08
This is it. | 2:23:08 | 2:23:09
The last 15 weeks have all been
building up to this moment. | 2:23:09 | 2:23:13
Who will be the winner

Good luck to you all. | 2:23:20 | 2:23:22
We're about to find out. | 2:23:22 | 2:23:27
Alexandra and Gorka. | 2:23:27 | 2:23:31
Debbie and Giovanni. | 2:23:31 | 2:23:33

the Strictly Come Dancing | 2:23:40 | 2:23:43

It is Joe and Katya. CHEERING | 2:24:04 | 2:24:18
Huge congratulations.
It is completely surreal. | 2:24:22 | 2:24:40
Congratulations. You are brilliant
finalists. Have you loved it? Every | 2:24:41 | 2:24:49
minute. Alexandra, well done. You
feel like you have won anyway. I am | 2:24:49 | 2:24:56
so happy for Joe. There is a lot of
emotion in the room. You have been a | 2:24:56 | 2:25:04
wonderful partnership. We have loved
watching you progress. Will you keep | 2:25:04 | 2:25:09
dancing? Probably for ever. It has
been great. We have thoroughly | 2:25:09 | 2:25:19
enjoyed having you, my darling. Joe
McFadden, you arrive to 13 weeks | 2:25:19 | 2:25:27
ago. Would you ever have imagined
that you would be taking that home? | 2:25:27 | 2:25:33
Not in a million years. It feels
surreal and I am in awe of everybody | 2:25:33 | 2:25:41
who started all those weeks ago and
everybody is a winner. I love them | 2:25:41 | 2:25:46
to bits. And this woman is the most
amazing woman. Thank you for | 2:25:46 | 2:25:56
sticking with me and persevering and
being an amazing artist and slave | 2:25:56 | 2:26:02
driver and counsellor. What would
you like to say to Joe? You did it. | 2:26:02 | 2:26:15
You are absolutely brilliant. We
have great pleasure in presenting | 2:26:15 | 2:26:22
the glitterball trophy to our
Strictly Come Dancing champions, | 2:26:22 | 2:26:25
2017. | 2:26:25 | 2:26:35 | |
A huge thank you to all
our amazing couples. | 2:26:42 | 2:26:44
To our wonderful judges. | 2:26:44 | 2:26:45
And, of course, thank you to every
single one of you at | 2:26:45 | 2:26:48
home for watching. | 2:26:48 | 2:26:49
Don't forget, we'll be
back for our Christmas | 2:26:49 | 2:26:51
special on Christmas Day. | 2:26:51 | 2:26:59
And all that's left is for us to say
