13/06/2012 The National Lottery: Wednesday Night Draws

Welcome to Lottery HQ. Here's your host for the evening, John

Partridge. Hello and welcome to Lottery HQ where we are just

moments away from making a whole heap of midweek winners. Will you

National Lottery is marking its investment in the arts and sport

ahead of the Olympic and Paralympic celebrations by creating a poem

which will be showcased at the Olympic Park during The Games.

Working with regional poetry organisations that have received

National Lottery funding, a nationwide search was launched to

find 12 budding poets from all corners of the UK. Each region was

also represented by a British athlete, so not only did the

winning poets write the poem, they also spent time with athletes to

gain first hand inspiration. The successful poets are now known as

The 12 Poets of 2012. And following a weekend workshop with poet Jacob

Sam La-Rose, they have composed a poem called Breathe. If you fancy
