Here comes a tale for us all to enjoy.

One summer's day,

when the hot, hot sun was sizzling down on everyone.

Little Miss Mouse and Teddington made a plan.

"Oh it's ever so sticky and hot.

"Let's go to the seaside to cool off",

squeaked Miss Mouse.

They packed a bag with buckets and spades,

flip-flops and cossies and cool, cool shades.

And off they went to catch the train.

From the window, they could see

houses, fences, fields and trees!

Then suddenly, they could see the sea!

"Oh, isn't it sparkly. Hoo-hoo!", giggled Miss Mouse.

The golden sand was soft and warm.

The sea was greeny-blue and calm.

"Let's sit here", said Teddington.

"Then we can put our cossies on."

Little Miss Mouse looked ever so cute,

in her orange and red pretty swimsuit.

Suddenly she squeaked, "Oh, drat! I've forgotten my sun hat.

"I need it to shade me from the sun."

"Don't worry, Miss Mouse, I'll find you one", said Teddington.

He looked on the beach, and all around.

Then showed Miss Mouse what he had found.

"Thank you for the paper cup but it simply isn't smart enough",

squeaked Miss Mouse.

"I agree", said Teddington. "I'll see what else I can see."

He looked in the rocks and all around,

Then showed Miss Mouse what he had found.

"It's ever such a pretty shell,

"but it looks like I'm wearing a crab, as well",

squeaked Miss Mouse.

"I think that shell IS the crab's house,

"but it looks quite happy to share with a mouse",

giggled Teddington.

The as he went to put it back

he found some seaweed, green and black.

"We could make a hat from this", said Teddington.

"Dear me, no. It smells of fish", squeaked Miss Mouse.

"I'm sorry that it isn't easy to find a sun hat to please me",

sighed Miss Mouse.

"Perhaps and ice cream and a rest would be best."

"Oh, that is a good idea", said Teddington.

"I'll go and get us one."

He came back holding two ice creams

and an extra cone balanced in between.

"I've had a great idea", he said,

and he put the extra cone on Miss Mouse's head!

Ha-ha!

"It's the perfect fit, I like the brim.

"And I can nibble it when the sun goes in!

"Hee-hee!" squeaked Miss Mouse, happily.

On the train home they happily sat,

nibbling on Miss Mouse's sun hat!

The toys are pretending to be at the seaside, too. Just like Miss Mouse.

Mo Mo Bot is playing with a toy crab.

Tom has a big ice cream.

And Stuffy has his runner ring.

But one of the toys is missing. Which one?

Teddington. Where's Teddington?

Oh! Oh, pardon me, Teddington.

Teddington is getting changed into his swimming costume.

And it sounds like someone else is getting ready to go swimming, too.
