made using half a paper plate.

I need to finish this.

Here are some pipe cleaners.

I'm going to bend this one...

and then use some sticky tape

to stick it on the side of the nose.

I'm going to do the same with the other pipe cleaner.

By bending it...

and sticking it down.

Next I'm going to finish the eyes

by drawing black circles

in the middle of the white circles.

I'm going to turn it all over

and then add the string on the back.

You'll see why in a moment.

here comes a tale for us all to enjoy.

Are you ready, Miss Mouse?

Are you all ready? I hope so.

One evening as Miss Mouse sat at her window looking out,

a special prickly friend came by to play

and Miss Mouse ran out to see him straight away.

"Well, tickle my whiskers, I don't believe my eyes!

"It's prickly Mr Hedgehog - what a surprise!"

she squeaked.

They would have had a cuddle then, but one of them had spines,

so they just rubbed noses, which felt really rather fine.

Then Mr Hedgehog asked Miss Mouse if she'd like to go for a walk about.

"Oh, yes," said Miss Mouse,

"If it's all right with you.

"I would like to find out what hedgehogs do.

"And I'd really rather like to be a hedgehog, too,

"Just for a little while."

"Well, if you're going to be a hedgehog,

"you must stay up all night.

"We hedgehogs are nocturnal -

"we don't sleep until it's light," said Mr Hedgehog.

"Well, I'd love to see the cheesy moon,

"it's such a lovely sight!" said Miss Mouse.

"And if you're going to be a hedgehog,

"you can share some tasty treats.

"Let's snuffle in the undergrowth

"for beetles to eat," said Mr Hedgehog

"Snuffling is fun, but I think I'll just eat cheese,

"if you please," giggled Miss Mouse.

And while they were snuffling, they played hide and seek.

All around the bushes, all around the trees,

in little shady holes and under fallen leaves.

"Yoo-hoo!" cried Miss Mouse,

"Come and look for me!"

Miss Mouse had a long tail

but the rest of her was tiny.

Mr Hedgehog had a short tail

and most of him was spiny.

"I wish that I had spines like you,

"then I could be a hedgehog too," Miss Mouse told Mr Hedgehog.

She disappeared into the house.

When she came out she looked less like a mouse.

"Now I have prickles, and don't they look swell?

"It's a scrubbing brush really,

"but no-one will tell!" giggled Miss Mouse.

The yellow sun began to peep.

"Come on, Miss Mouse, it's time to sleep," said Mr Hedgehog.

So they found a little cosy place

and snuggled up all warm and safe.

Oh, Miss Mouse.

What a funny thing to do with a brush.

A paint brush.
