Hello and welcome to the stunning surroundings of the Eden Project

here in Cornwall, where in just a minute, Duran Duran will play some

of their biggest hits of this very stage, a fantastic finale to BBC

music Dave. We have had unique performances and collaborations

which have brought generations together, and we will be showing you

some of those highlights. And a sensational performance from the

hugely talented Laura Mvula. But now, for the people who have

down to the Rio Grande Today's concert at the Eden Project

has been the culmination of the day of performances throughout England,

Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland for BBC Music day. Over 300 events

have taken place including a vegetable Orchestra led by Shaun the

sheep, none other, and we'll be bringing you all the highlights very

shortly. Earlier on Eden stage we had a performance from Laura Mvula.

She was introduced by the legendary Nile Rodgers. It doesn't happen

every day that you meet someone like this. When I first heard her, I was

blown away, and now she's going to do her new song. Laura Mvula,

CHEERING AND APPLAUSE Thank you. From dawn till dusk,

music events and performances involving well-known people and

local communities have been happening all across the UK for BBC

Music day. From collaborations on over 40 bridges throughout the

country, to cab is performing with the BBC Scottish Orchestra in

Scotland. It's been an incredible feast of music and celebration right

across the BBC and here are some of the highlights. It's just great,

there's a real sense of these in the air, well, there's music in the air,

actually. -- says a sense of fizz in the air. What's fantastic about

music day as people from all over the country come together and enjoy

one thing and that one thing is music. Today is BBC Music day, a UK

wide celebration of everything we love about music.

It so great to be back here in Bristol, one-year run after the

inaugural BBC Music day. Here's another one, action packed. Hello,

girls. Shaun the sheep, it was brilliant. BBC Music day is

incredibly important because it gives everyone a platform to show

the world what they can do. Playing in the south-west has been life

changing. In this very same moment there are people doing amazing

things in Glasgow, Manchester, Birmingham, all across the country,

it's thrilling. And here in Bristol, will Young. I've never sung in a

factory before. That's the beauty of music, the point is you can take

music anywhere. It's been amazing. Thanks to a

Scottish Symphony Orchestra once again for being super cool. This is
