Tell us about the piece of music you just performed for us.

I performed a love song,

originally a poem by the Danish poet Tove Ditlevsen.

Eh, and the title was "Saa tag mit Hjerte",

which means "Here, take my heart".

Your music sounds very familiar. Do you think there are similarities

between Norwegian folk music and Irish folk music?

There are lots of similarities. I feel very related to your music.

And I think all the music around in the northern Europe

kind of are brothers and sisters to each other,

so that's why we bring our fiddles together, we can play together

and I think a lot of the songs and the melodies are quite melancholic

and about the people, so I think our culture is quite similar.

Where do you get the inspiration for your songs and your compositions?

Mostly, in the folk music and the traditions that I grew up with,

I like to tell stories.

So that's how I see myself, kind of a musical storyteller.

And based on the folk music expression,

I kind of find my own sound, yeah.

So, do you have any plans to tour Ireland in the future?

Oh, I wish I could say yes!

No, not in the nearest future, I don't.

I have been here a couple of times, done small jobs,

but I would love to come back with my whole band and play here.
