This is the Olympics of singing. Our fewer superstar coaches started

the live shows -- four superstar coaches started the live show with

four artists. Now Will, Jessie, Danny and Tom are left with just

four. Tonight, Team Will and Tom are performing for your votes.

We're stronger than ever. Team Will, champions. This week Tom's team

face the biggest challenge yet. Dinosaur mini golf. And have Team

Will bitten off more than they can chew. I heard there were hungry

singers here. They've hung out together and

tonight, for the first time, they'll sing together. As coaches

join artists live. It's like a dream come true. It doesn't get

better than that You're going to love it. At this crucial stage of

the competition, they need to shine like true stars. Pressure. Because

this weekend, each team must lose not one, but two artists.

Only the very best will survive. You can't all win. As we take one

step closer to finding... The Voice. Good evening and welcome to The

Voice. We're live and the crowd are going wild because Team Will and

Team Tom are back singing for glory. Now just a few moments ago, all of

our artists were dreaming of performing for millions and now

it's happening. Here in TV's biggest arena. If that wasn't

enough, tonight for the first time, Tom and Will are singing with their

artists live. Yes, now the singers could be just three weeks away from

the final. They'll still need your votes and the support of the people

who put them here in the first place, our coaches. With opinions

as big as his hair, it's Danny O'Donoghue.

They didn't get where they are today without the support of the

public. Yes, this weekend, Tom and Will are losing not one, but two of

their artists. You can help save your favourites by voting for them.

Only the artists with the most public votes is guaranteed a place

in the semi-finals. That will leave Tom and Will with three artists in

danger. They can only save one of them. All of those decisions will

be revealed on Sunday night's show. Tom, tonight the artists are going

to have to dig deep and bring everything to the table. Yes. I

think they should think of this as like a World Tour. But they've

still got countries to visit yet. So, they have to bring 100%. You

can't be tired. You've got to bring 100% every night. If they don't do

that, they're in the wrong business. This is where it counts. Yes.

Now Will you've played stadiums, toured the world, how are you

feeling about performing in The Voice arena? Hmmm... Let's see. No,

I'm really, really looking forward to this. I told my team when we

were hanging out a couple days ago, let's treat this as our big moment,

our big show. Like, let's pretend we're in a group. I know what it

feels like to be in a group with four people. Pretend that this is a

group of five. And we are about to go out there and stay alive. I just

had a rhyme, that was bad. Thank you very much Will. I can't wait

for that later on. Team Danny and Team Jessie are there. Have you

recovered from last week? Yeah! They're looking good. You need to

watch carefully as you'll be back here next week. It's a big night

for Team Tom and Team Will, which means we have some very excited but

from Team Tom it's Leanne. The first live show was incredible.

Leanne took on a song that was out of her comfort song. I was thinking

like, oh, God I'm going to have to pull it out of the bag for this one.

But she did it and ripped it. It was perfect. Yes! This week she's

singing Put A Spell On You. Then you do what you do. I sung this

probably about nine or ten years ago. My husband, when we were

boyfriend and girlfriend, we had split up for a little while. I find

it really hard to sing because it choked you up. It's always

interesting to hear what the singer feels when she is singing that song.

We're married now, so it's fine. I met my husband just over ten years

ago at the holiday resort where we both work. I met Leanne when she

was in one of the shows. I saw her singing and thought "Wow, who's

that?" Every time it gives me goose bumps when I hear her. I know I

have a lot of support at the resort. It was great to go back and see

everyone. I don't think you realise how much

we actually miss you. Stop it. Leanne is so good. You wouldn't

believe that someone like her would be working at a holiday resort.

Everybody here is making sure that each guest that leaves is in full

support of Leanne. She's been singing at this holiday park, she's

had a lot of experience there. But now it's time to move into the big

time. This weekend two people have to go home, if you sing it like

that, I don't think you'll have any trouble. Thank you. Singing Put A

The coaches are on their feet. That's pressure. She just opened

the show. Later she's performing with you. It doesn't affect her.

well, it only becomes pressure if you can't handle it. She can

definitely handle it. APPLAUSE

Leanne opened the show, but she could close the show. She could do

anything she wants to because she has such a fantastic voice. When

she started she was lacking a little confidence, well, she's got

that. Oh, yeah. She's winning right there. Plenty of confidence. Danny?

When you first started, I'm sure everybody felt the same, you were

looking right at me, I was oh, my God stop looking at me. She was

looking at me. She was looking at me! Fisty cuffs at dawn. Genuinely,

you cast a spell right over me. I was here the whole performance. I

know you had confidence issues but they're all gone now. What a way to

open the show. Will, let's come to you? Are you Spelbound?

this world. Thank you Will. You know what's so

nice, I remember when we saw you in the blind auditions and your

control was like, your head voice to your chest belt was really

different. Now it's so smooth and that was my favourite performance

from you by far so far. Fantastic comments. You've got to

be pleased. Yeah, I'm really pleased, thank you. Well done you.

Next up from Team Will, it's Frances.

The first artist saved is... Frances Wood. I genuinely thought I

were going to be in the bottom two. It's amazing to know that people

cared enough to pick up the phone. It did make me feel a bit like a

superstar. Dancing with boys oh, aye. You got a little comfortable

with the boys there. I felt like they fancied me. I don't know.

so proud. It's the best experience I've had in my life so far.

Everyone has been so supportive. If you live in Wakefield, there's a

good chance you will have met Rob and Donna, my mum and dad. I'm her

number one fan. I like to give her the best support we can. Wouldn't

hand a few of these out for us. tell everyone about Frances on The

Voice. My mum and dad won't rest those posters are all round the

city. You couldn't do us a favour and put these up around college.

the dog could give out posters, he'd be doing it too. Thanks to mum

and dad this weekend I don't only have to make Will proud, but the

What a tune. I loved that. Well done you. Thank you. I don't know

whether it's hello Wembley, but hello Wakefield! So much support

for you. Does that feel good? amazing. The whole of the north has

been like so supportive, posters and everywhere really. You don't

think people care that much. It's amazing, yeah. One of your biggest

supporters is stood up there. Will, let's come to you first.

APPLAUSE I thought you did great. You held

it down. You were strong. Every note was amazing. It was youthful.

It was lots of energy. You did me proud. Awesome. Thank you. Jessie?

I think you did a really good job. I think it was, I would have liked

to hear it even higher than that. I think your voice can handle that. I

would like to have heard it maybe in a higher key. I'd like to see

you sing stuff that's more up there. It was very comfortable. It was

nice, but I think you can take more risk. You did a really good job of

making that song, current now and I'm loving the whole look, thing.

It's cool. Can you go up there? I'll give it a try. I want to,

that's why I'm here to push myself. Exactly, 100%. Tom, there was a big

old light show in the background. Did she have a big voice to match?

Oh, yes. But I mean she could get up with just a torch to light it

you know. There were parts there that looked a bit like Star Wars.

There again, you know, she's the Princess Leia and the force was

with you. And Danny, let's come to you

finally. OK, you've got Frances, she prances, she dances, she takes

some chances (as will.i.am) APPLAUSE

I'm not going to lie, I didn't think it was your best performance

vokally. I thought the staging was brilliant. Your stage presence as

well. You could come out a little bit more. But the growth I've seen

so far working with Will has been great. Again, I don't know if that

was enough to gept you into the next part, but it was a great

performance. Well done you. You look beautiful.

you. Next up from Team Tom it's Matt and Sueleen.

Wow. Performing on the live show, it's about as good as it gets.

Loved every minute of being up there.

Their elation didn't last for long. It was really hard being in the

bottom two, standing next to Sam. I was like, man we don't have a

chance here. There's that big pause before he says who he's going

choose, it's like the world stands still. I think I'm going to take

Matt and Sueleen. Then he said our names. It was like being hit by a

brick. A nice brick. A Tom-shaped brick. It was lovely. You want to

prove to him he's made the right decision. It adds to the pressure.

After the trauma of the live show, it was nice going back to

Canterbury. Before, it would be like, "Gand alf. "Now it's like

"All right mate." We have massive support from family and friends.

They're so proud. This week they're singing a song called Missing.

We've taken a song and put our own slight slant on it. It sounds very

different now. I think what's happened now because you've changed

the arm niz, that they're clashing against some of the chords. In

order to get that song across you can't go too far from the original

structure of the song. It still has to be audience friendly. This week

they go from four acts to two, we really need to connect more with

the audience. If you work on that a little bit more, ufr won't have any

problems. Let's hope so. Singing for your votes with Missing, it's

Let's hear it for Matt and Sueleen. APPLAUSE

You go that side. Well done. How was that? Was there more pressure

on you? Last time you were in the bottom two. Coming out again

tonight, there's a lot riding on this. Yeah, I can feel Sueleen

shaking right now. I'm not much better. It must have been odd, for

the first time you weren't stood next to each other, in fact you

didn't look at each other, did that change things? It's a really good

test to see if we can work with each other back-to-back and I think

that we can do that. It worked. Let's come to Tom first of all.

Everybody talks about their harmonies and how tight they are,

did it work tonight? I think so, definitely. They take chances.

APPLAUSE You know they flipped it, they

flipped the song. They made it their own. Those harmonies are not

easy. I've done duets myself with numerous people...

LAUGHTER Oh, really? Aretha Franklin...

a few. Gladys Knight. Me! And you too! The harmonies are fantastic. I

wouldn't have been brave enough to try harmonies like that. You should

be applauded for that alone. We can do that. Danny? For me personally,

harmony to me is all about connecting. I personally found it a

bit strange that you weren't looking at each other considering

that is your bond. You're so strong together. I don't know if that took

a bit away, because some of the harmonies were a little bit offment

it is a difficult song to kind of pick out the third on top. But

again, you guys take chances. You came in and made that song your own,

it's your own version. I have to commend you on that. Well done.

Will? You guys just proved that you know, the kind of group that you

guys are, it's like I would love to hear more from you guys, if you tok

a song and exist and made it sound like it's your own music, that was

amazing. Two, it looked amazing. I don't know whose idea it was to sit

on a park bench. Whose idea was that? I have no idea. I think back

stage. That was amazing. It looked amazing, like straight from, I

thought it was like a Harry Potter moment, it was really just, it

looked fantastic. Tom said my team, Frances looked like Star Wars. That

was... That's old school like Lord of the Rings. I think Tom had a

hand as well. I'm still trying to make my mind up on how I feel about

that, to be honest. I think it was great. I loved the fact it was such

a risk. Buff I don't know if it showed you off to your full

potential. I feel like harmonies like that haven't really been done

a lot before. It was nice to hear that. It was refreshing. I kind of

agree with Danny, it was weird that you weren't. I think it's great for

like a music video, but for this, I want to see that connection that

you have. I think the reason why that happened was because the

lyrical content of the song, about not seeing the person there, so we

tried to separate it and give a dream-like quality. I totally saw

that. Because the lyrics said "I miss you like a desert misses the

rain." The story has an ending. I was expecting an ending. Due want a

kiss Danny? No. The last word was "Like the desert misses the rain".

They were separated like that, when did you last see the rain in the

desert. Thank you so much, off they APPLAUSE

Next up from Team Will it's Joelle. When I was up there on that stage,

I absolutely felt I belonged there. If she keeps doing performances

like this, we're going to pay a lot of money to see this girl. Despite

such high praise, Joelle found herself in the bottom two. My heart

felt it was breaking. This is the hardest thing. I couldn't believe

it could be ending right now. going to take Joelle. She has

everything it takes for the public to vote for her. Given the correct

opportunity I think the public will be wowed by her. There's a song

that means so much to me, called I Surrender by Celine Dion. I like

that song. You sing is wonderfully. But we're in a battle. Do you that

I that's the one to knock people out? My coaching tactics make her

realise that song selection is the most important thing. Figure out

why you didn't connect and if I sing that, am I going to make the

same mistake again? Having taken on board Will's concerns, Joelle

returns to rehearsals with a new song. I can't see myself on stage

singing a song that you've told me you don't like. I'm singing

Stronger. It's up tempo, that's dope. You like it better? Oh, yeah

like a billion times. I am so happy that me and Will are on the same

page. Now all I need to concentrate on is giving a great performance.

imitating art. You were in the bottom two before then you came out

like that, well done. Thank you. Thank you guys. You're a great

audience. Not just the audience are enjoying it. Will you were pulling

some moves. I tell you why. He's loving it. I'm taking this real

serious. Like, when we go out and tour and we do a festival, I check

to see what the other bands are doing to see what their stage

presence is like. Then I go back to tell our crew to amp it up. A lot

of times like, your voice is great. There's not much I can do to help

you get your voice even better than it is. When it comes to stage

designing and lights, that's why I asked did you have anything to do

with stage selection. Because I make sure the camera blocking is

right, make sure your face is up there, oh, I want her face at the

top and the lights and the splashes and explosions.

APPLAUSE Like that! I get into it, man. I

get into it. I get into it. We can tell. Yes. You know what, after

that little thing, what just happened. You going, woo-hoo.

You know what, I'm just excited, that was great, vokally great. I

feel like the performance like I just want to see you let go more.

Let go, there were explosions! but, all right. But I just want you

to look your voice is amazing. It's great. But I can't wait to see what

you're going to do later with your team. You don't know. I got

explosions coming out of my ears. I'm going to be singing like...

can't wait for that. Tom? She was a fighter tonight. Definitely. She

bottom two. But like Ali, you can go down but not out. You came out

Thank you Tom. Danny? You know, I kind of agree with Jessie, if you

had started as well as you finished, it would have been a flawless

performance. It was shaky to start off with. Again, like Will,

congratulations you know, it was a great job. He took everything that

I did last week in our team and applied it to his own. Thank you

Danny. I'm glad he went with staging and couraging. It was a

brilliant effort. Cracked on a couple of the high notes, all in

all it was great. You didn't crack. Give it up for Joelle!

Girl. I won't say that again. Team Tom and Will have got the evening

started. You can't relax too much because you're performing with your

coaches soon. Leanne, you opened the show. What did it feel like on

what is the biggest night of your singing career so far? Yeah, it is!

I was really worried about going first. Because you just like,

you're not sure what to expect, like let it build up a bit. It was

all right. It's the first time they've all stood up. That's cool.

In the a bad reaction. A few weeks ago you were a girl from Wakefield.

Today, you're kind of still a girl from Wakefield, but one who's going

to sing with will.i.am later on. Did you ever imagine something that

amazing would happen to you? the time! No, I'm joking. No, it's

amazing, like, you never think something like that's going to

happen. The fact it is, he tells us enjoy it. It makes you feel really

fun. You get to see us in these numbers as well. Green looks good.

Brings out of cheekbones. I don't know what I'm talking about! Now

the pressure must be definitely on. Obviously, you are One Show away

from getting to the semi-finals, how do you feel about it? I try not

to think about. It I try to focus on getting the job done. It's just

such high pressure. There's a million things going through your

head. You have to blank it out and just give it everything you've got.

Then if you do your best, that's all you can do. You're fantastic.

And it's Joelle! Give me a cuddle. It happened in rehearsal, just

caught myself on your shoulder blade. It's a weapon. You've been

in the bottom two before, but you got amazing feet back that time.

How do you feel? Great. I feel happy with that performance. I've

performance I thought she did a hell of a job. I was expecting the

audience just to like it. I didn't realise they'd like it that much.

Emeli Sande. After her performance on the show, Ruth took the

opportunity to catch up back stage. How are you? Fine. It was good

speaking to Emeli Sande. Remember why you're singing it and what the

lyrics mean. She gave me good advice. Nice to meet you. How are

you feeling about the song? Excited. I've got a few ideas. I've noticed

a change in Ruth. She has more confidence. I wanted to have three

backing singers. He'll go bang, bang, bang and it builds to the

chorus. The show's given me confidence to try new things.

Well, I'm just embracing what I love doing and just sharing my

ideas with Tom and he just happens to like them, so we worked together.

CHEERING When I hear Ruth sing, I get choked

up. So we're going to be singing later today and I hope that I don't

get choked up too much so I'll be able to do it. I've sung with a lot

I have! And I've heard some amazing voices throughout my career, but

this girl has got something that I have never, ever heard before in my

hair on my hands, even my hair up here is standing on end. Every time

again it gets better and better, to the point where the stage seems so

boring, because you sing, you don't need explosions right. You don't.

I would like to design that for you, you know what I'm saying. Don't you

start. A whole power ranger theme. I was like missiles. That would be

out of this world. Does she need that? No, you don't. I don't know

if everyone heard, you said "I'm embracing what I love. That's what

I'm seeing. That's a joy. How old are you, like 17, 18? 20. Oh, well!

you exploring your voice, like the way you're using it and you're a

soul singer. Like you go to church and you see people sing like you

and it's from within. Honestly, as Will said... I'm just going to stop,

Tyler proved that he's a headliner. The first live show was so

nervewracking, at the same time, you realise just how lucky you are

to be there. I do believe you're an artist. You're really strong.

by Terence Trent D'Arby. It's probably one of my favourite songs

ever. How are you feeling? Nervous as always, but... What are you

fear your nerves. It's cool to be nervous, that just means you're

alive. It's because it means so much to me that I don't want to

mess it up. Fergie was starting her solo project. She was really

nervous. I was like, well, pretend everybody is your best friend.

nose. We know that's not going to happen. My friends are really

important to me. They're very good at keeping me calm. So, I just try

for instance, when I did Kiss, you know, I heard Prince wrote the song

but I didn't try to copy him. Prince did Prince and I did me. You

better than that. When you're singing in false eto, it's such a

pin point sound it's very easy to tell if you go off pitch. It's

brave to sing up that high for a whole song. I didn't hear any

pitching issues at all. Staging was perfect. The violins, I thought

movement attracts attention, a-- attention will attract votes. You

have a strong artist there, man. Very strong. All those faces, was

that me or you? I think both of us. I can't tell, it's the same hair.

The first live show, for me, was crazy, because I was doing a

controversial song. It was a risk. He pulled it off. To me, you know,

mission accomplished. I was rocking out going yeah boy, yeah. You're so

adorable the way you're leaning over to the mic. I blush very

easily. So I don't know what to say about that really. Adam's got the

whole thing. The girls like the way he looks and sings. The fellas

would like to look like that and sing like that. Have you been

getting any reaction from the ladies? I had marriage proposals.

It goes with the territory. It's very nice that I've had so many

great messages from the ladies. I am taken. Sorry about that. He's

started getting a lot of female attention. I can understand why. If

I wasn't with him, I'd probably have a massive crush on him as well.

He's a lovely guy. And he's handsome. I'm lucky to have her

there supporting me I'm very proud of Adam. Everybody wants to see him

when he come back to Exeter. When I walked in it was like a surprise

I love that. Danny? Personally I don't think it was your best

performance. When you come into the chorus, that chorus, you need a

fearless falsetto. You needed to go higher. It lacked a bit of even

emotion or projection. Even if you move closer on the mic it could

have stuck out more. I enjoyed it, but I was hoping for a bit more.

You know again, I commend you on doing a great choice in song.

sum up it up -- sum it up in a word it would be unreal. There was this

hickory Dickery trictery dock. Sometimes it's a bit middle of the

road. His name is Jaz ladies and gentleman. I think I did it well.

Definitely the proudest moment of my life so far. It's recently been

me and my wife's first anniversary. To add to that, we're having a baby.

We're here to hopefully find out the sex of our baby. Let's listen

boy. Very happy. That baby scan has put a lot of things in perspective.

what kind of song you're singing. If you're singing an up tempo song

or a crowd pleasing song, then you work the crowd. When you are

it's plain, it's his wife, of course. It's plain to see that he

has somebody in mind. But he didn't only do that to one person. He did

it to the whole audience as well. Specially when he went into the

pleasers. So the whole thing is wrapped up into one. You did a won

took my advice from last week and that was a fantastic performance. I

was here with my book to critique and I left it. I shut my eyes and

Now they're about to work as a team. Take one legendary artist, in a

career lasting over six decades, add four new comers who dream of

doing exactly the same. To get them working as one, he took them for a

spot of team bonding. This week my team is performing all

arranger, writer, engineer, rapper, designer, side parting lover. Now

he's added coach to those talents. What did Mr Do it all have planned

When I was thinking where we should get together, the first and only

thing that came to my mind was my house. At my house just happens to

be my studio. You want to record a track? Yeah man. Dope. Just

casually record with will.i.am nothing big. I want them to be

rocking it. Oh, Lord. I don't actually know what he's doing. It's

incredible watching him. The same place where the vocals was, give me

a variation on the melody. I feel like we're getting to know him

better seeing him in his natural environment. This is what we want

to be doing: While Will mixes the vocals, he's arranged a treat for

his team. I heard there were hungry singers here. Come in, I didn't

know it was Jamie Oliver. I'm a fan of the show. When I heard Team Will

was here, I thought I had to come down and feed them some food.

just brought me pizza. I don't think I can handle any more

surprises in one day. Back to work and it's the boys' turn to lay down

some vocals. Hanging out with Will is amazing. I think we're all a bit

overwhelmed, but loving it. That's dope Tyler. Now it's Jaz's

turn. Never did I think I would work with him on this level any way.
