Kicking us off a man who's had a hero's

homecoming this week - it's Ricky's soul boy

It still hasn't sunk in yet, that feeling of, oh my god, I am in the

final. The thing with Jolan, it is so real. You cannot fake that. We

are unit. This week I went home, started off the day by doing a

couple of local radio stations. Are you going to smash it on Saturday? I

hope so, that is the plan! I am about to go on radio, they are

working hard, I am drinking a bruise. I am really starting to use

to the whole radio interview thing. People can't see my face which is

good. Then I went home hoping to have a bite waiting for me, to see

50 to 100 people waiting. I started to tear up when I walked in because

I did not expect so many people. Team Jolan all the way! Nice

T-shirt! Ever since we first got together, it is all he has ever

wanted. It is his dream. He's the best cousin in the world. As Ricky

would say, absolutely flawless. Coming home and seeing familiar

This week our next artist was busy drumming up support and finding some

new backing vocalists - it's Kevin.

Kevin, his semifinal performance was incredible as always.

# We could have had it all. I was happy with my performance. I felt

like I could give it the Passion I like to give two songs. He rose to

the occasion more than anyone has ever expected. Kevin! I am really

grateful for people voting for me and putting me in the final. It is

beyond what I ever expected. This week was very busy, with interviews.

The final is coming up, how are you feeling? I did not think I would get

to this point. Hopefully I can just take it a bit further. I am really

excited to be going home. It is the longest time I have ever been away

from Birmingham. I don't like crowds! It was an emotional moment.

I had not seen them for a little while and I missed them. We are so

proud of you. Unbelievable grateful for all the support. -- unbelievably

are so proud of dad. They cannot get over it when they see him on the

beginning. From that first blind audition with the four turns, you

support up north, it really spurs me on. I was not expecting that many

people. She is a wonderful lass and we are incredibly proud of her. We

hope absolutely that she wins. I am really excited to get on stage and

do them proud. Once Cody has sang, they will be

back on stage for the performance of a lifetime as they duet with their

this concrete jungle, especially here in London, and we are all

from the cracks, and those things, like some people think are weeds,

and I will stop and look at them and think, wow, nature took over, and

those are beautiful flowers. And I feel like you are that beautiful

What you think makes Cody standout? I am trying not to use a metaphor

because that was a beautiful metaphor Paloma used. What makes

Cody standout is Cody. She is an individual. It is the only way to

explain it. I was in an interview yesterday and they asked what I

thought of Boy George. I said, Boy George, I don't know if he knows it,

he would be an amazing executive. Jimmy I think is responsible for us.

He was in the music industry. Every single person who runs a label once

was a songwriter or an artist, the ones who did it really well. Boy

George and that, I believe this, this is magic.

word? One word? Cody is naughty. She is one of the naughty ones causing

chaos and never doing what she is told. Sometimes in life I think we

need more of the naughty ones. But thoroughly lovely as well.

I did it really know what is going on. I have been dragged out of bed

to go to Radio X. This week I asked Jolan to come and meet me at work. I

thought it would be nice if we had a jam in session. I don't really know

a chance to rehearse it. But I felt really comfortable. To get to sing

Our next coach took his finalist to meet the only

pop star with a more outrageous dress sense than

Cody has been working so hard I have planned a nice little surprise. I

thought I would take him to meet a good friend of mine, a tough New

Yorker with pink hair. Cyndi Lauper. I am really excited! I was pretty

amazed. I wanted Cody to meet her because she has her own original

style and real musical integrity. I have known her for over 30 years.

She is an Emmy winner, a Grammy winner. She is a true New Yorker,

she talks like that. Oh my god! This is Cody. Nice to meet you. We walked

into the room and she was just as beautiful as I thought she would be.

She is pretty. The good thing about make up, you can change your face.

Thank god! It was really nerve wracking and it was really cool to

see her in real life. In terms of performing, what advice can you give

Cody? The trick is to get what is in here and in the year and transport

them they are. Take what you know and throw it right in their face.

Good advice, baby! When I am on stage, I am going to be channelling

what she said because I can only wish to be like her. The beautiful

voice you have is a gift. You have both the softness and the intensity.

I always try to be as real as I can when I am singing. It was amazing to

hear what she thought of my voice. The things that she told me, these

are things I will carry it around with myself for the rest of my life.

This week it was wedding bells for Kevin and Ricky.

This week I got the chance to go home and do something really

beautiful for my sister. Last week, his sister goes, can you give him

the day off on Thursday because I really want him to come home for my

wedding. I know he is supposed to be preparing for the final but there

are some things in life you cannot mess.

It was an honour to sing my sister down the aisle. It meant a lot to be

here and to be able to do that for her. It is great to see him in his

element, and also, I had to look after his kids while he was up there

and I am not great with kids. He is a natural born baby-sitter. If we

need to go out for a meal one night, he is more than welcome to come and

look after the kids. I have the greatest honour of announcing that

you are now husband and wife. Kevin was my idol growing up and for him

to sing at my wedding, it is the way it should be. So proud to see my

sister get married today, but before singing, I was quite nervous. I am

not one for wearing a dickie bow. To be honest, I needed a wee quite

badly. I'm really happy for Ricky coming and showing his support. As

were all the ladies here. Am I covered in lipstick? I have not been

kissed so much in my life. Have a brilliant day. I could not have

missed today. It is the biggest week of my life and the biggest week of

my sister's life. Hopefully it will be a good week for both of us.

Me and Jolan have been fighting with them for the past few weeks but it

was awesome to be able to feed off his energy on stage. I think he

brought out a different side of me. I love how out of breath you are. I

was dancing as well. You have had a busy week, a wedding. And you've got

the final. We have had a busy week but if everything goes right tonight

and the people at home believing Kevin as much as I do, he will have

a busy rest of his life. If you think Kevin

been incredible. You should have some time off, so I set it up so

your mum and dad could have dinner during a very stressful day,

Saturday. It is very important. It is an important time to relax and

not stress. I could not have done this without them. We are so proud

this year, it is not surprising that things got heated between the

not had a hit in America but I have had a few. I was hoping that Ricky

one missing thing was my mum. She had just passed away. I need to do

this so it is going to be for her. You have got a lot of soul! Jolan is

one of those singers that you have supreme confidence in. Flawless, and

Ricky. Immensely likeable. I am really proud of All You Good
