Good afternoon. 70 organisations have told MPs they're concerned

that millions of people could miss out because of the Government's

plans for a a universal credit system for state benefits. Many

charities and local councils think the plan to put the benefits system

online will disadvantage people without internet access and lacking

computer skills. Let's speak to our political correspondent, Susana

Mendonca, at Westminster. Concerns too about the Government's track

record on implementing these IT schemes as well I suppose? Indeed.

And the charities and councils that have spoken to the Work and

Pensions Select Committee are worried about whether or not people

will be able to access the system. 8.5 million people don't have

access to the system. This replaces six work-related benefit with just

one. They are concerned that the IT system will not work. The

Government has a poor track record on IT systems in the past. And

there are worries that people will find it difficult if they are only

receiving their benefit once a month. The Government says the IT

system has been rigorously tested and there are contingency plans in

place and anyone who has trouble will be able to access someone via

the phone or face to face. And a possible return to Parliament by

Boris Johnson over the Heathrow expansion. What has he will to say

about that? We hear this time and again about Boris Johnson. The

Mayor of London has made clear he intends to carry out the duties he

was asked to do by Londoners by being Mayor of this city, so he is

putting that aside. But there've been rumours over the last week

following the reshuffle last week, where people were thinking that

perhaps that could indicate some kind of move towards a third runway

at Heathrow, which Boris Johnson opposes. The Government has put

that to bed in terms of commissioning a new commission

which will look at whether or not there are alternatives. And Vince

Cable, the Business Secretary, has reinforced that today. Thank you.

Activist groups in Syria say more than 160 people died in fighting

yesterday, with Government air attacks killing many in the

northern city of Aleppo. Troops are also reported to have overrun

rebel-held areas in the south of the capital, Damascus.

A series of bomb attacks in Iraq over the weekend have killed at

least 50 people and wounded more than 250. An attack near the shrine

of a Shi'ite Imam in the south of Iraq this morning killed at least

16 people when two car bombs exploded.

Police are continuing their search of the al-Hilli family home in

Surrey looking for any clues as to why they were victims of a gunman

while on holiday in France. Let's speak to our Correspondent,

Jonathan Blake, in Claygate. Jonathan, so the search resuming

just after dawn today? Yes, that's right. It was just before 7 o'clock

this morning when search teams from Surrey Police arrived here at the

al-Hilli family home. After yesterday's forensic sweep of the

property officers have been going room to room looking for any clues

that may provide them with any evidence that they can pass on to

the French authorities, who are leading this investigation. We saw

firearms officers going into the property at one point. They arrived

and spent around ten minutes in the house before leaving. We are not

sure exactly why they were here but we are told their presence in a

search operation of this kind may well be routine. Family liaison

officers from Surrey Police have travelled to France to be with the

family members there and help care for the two sisters who survived

the attack and are still in hospital. We've seen more evidence

this morning of the effect this has had on the local community, with

silences held between two football matches and a special church

service which the local vicar said was an opportunity for the local

people to share in the shock of the tragedy of what has happened.

you. Police in Durham have said they've

found the body of 16-year-old Colin Dodds. The teenager went missing

while playing with friends yesterday afternoon. It's thought

he was swept away by the River Wear. His body was discovered in the

early hours of this morning. Union members are gathering in

Brighton for the TUC's annual congress, amid warnings from union

leaders that more strikes are inevitable because of the public

sector pay freeze and job cuts. TUC General Secretary Brendan Barber is

stepping down, to be replaced by the TUC's first female leader,

Frances O'Grady. Britain's biggest union, Unite is calling for a �1 an

hour increase in the minimum wage, arguing the increased spending

power of low-paid workers would help stimulate the economy.

There are more medal hopes for British athletes on the final day

of competition at the Paralympics. David Weir is among those hoping

for victory. He'll try to secure his fourth gold in the T54

wheelchair marathon, which has got under way in the last half hour.
