Good afternoon. France has said it has new satellite images of

potential objects in the southern Indian Ocean that could be from a

passenger jet that went missing more than two weeks ago. Previous

satellite pictures from Australia and China have shown large objects

floating in the same search area. John Donnison has the latest from

Perth where the search operation is being co-ordinated.

Soon after dawn, search planes took to the skies for a fourth day. Eight

aircraft headed out from Perth. Their destination, 1500 miles into

the southern Indian Ocean. Malaysia and officials announced that France

has new satellite pictures taken in the area that appeared to show

possible debris from the missing jet. We have now had a number of

varied credible leads and there is increasing hope, no more than hope,

no more than hope that we might be on the road to discovering what did

happen to this ill-fated aircraft. The fate of MH 370 is gripping the

world 's attention. The search effort is becoming increasingly

international. Two Chinese Air Force planes are now here and they are

expected to start work tomorrow. Four days into the search operation

into the southern Indian Ocean, still nothing of any significance

has been found. The operation is likely to intensify in the coming

days. The ultimate goal will be to find the on-board black box, which

could be thousands of metres below the ocean. Black boxes have an

attached beacon which sends out and locating signal but only have 30

Indian Ocean. Three teenage boys are being questioned by police in East

London over the death of a girl, who is believed to have been 15. The

girl was shot at a house in Hackney yesterday afternoon. Chris King is

there. What more can you tell us? Police were called here about 4pm

yesterday afternoon after reports that a 15-year-old girl had been

shot. It was said she died at the scene. Three boys were arrested.

They are to 16-year-olds and a 15-year-old. This Road was closed

at the earliest. A British man accused of arranging the murder of

his wife while on honeymoon will be extradited early next month

according to the South African authorities. They say Shrien Dewani

is due to arrive in Cape Town on eighth April, and will appear in

court the same day. He denies any involvement in the death of his

wife, Anni, in November 2010. Thousands of girls and young women

in England and Wales are trapped in gangs and living desperate lives,

according to a new report. The think-tank, the Centre for Social

Justice, founded by the Work and Pensions Minister, Iain Duncan

Smith, says not enough progress has been made, despite a Home Office

plan to tackle gang culture after the 2011 riots. It has been

described as an invisible problem. Researchers say they do not know the

scale of the abuse but it is estimated thousands of girls and

young women are trapped in an insidious underworld where sexual

violence is the norm. The report says that in one case a schoolgirl

was abducted and sexually assaulted by nine gang members because she

criticised one of their circle. The girls and women associated with

rival gangs are also seen as ready targets. Children could be forced to

become drug mules and gunrunners. We have had examples of girls as young

as eight, being dressed in school uniform, and being driven along to

make it look as though they are being taken to school when, in

actual fact, they have drugs stashed inside of them and they are being

used as couriers in the drugs trade. London has the biggest problem but

gang violence also exists in many of our major cities and towns. The

report says girls and young women can get pulled into the culture

through relationships because of the breakdown of their families. The

Centre for Social Justice says more needs to be done to help this

vulnerable group and would like to see youth workers on hand at A

departments and police forces to team up with voluntary organisations

to ensure that when gang numbers are jailed, the girlfriends are given

the support they need to leave their old lives behind.

GP services are under severe threat of extinction because of increasing

demands and dwindling budgets. That's according to the head of the

Royal College of GPs who wants more doctors and nursing staff employed.

The Department of Health says it's increasing the number of trainees.

Nick Beake reports. For many of us, the trip to a doctor is the main

point of contact with the NHS. With a growing population, there are more

and more patients to see. Today, is stark and contentious claim that GP

services are in a critical condition. Over the last three

years, across the United Kingdom, we have had actual cash balls in

funding for general practice. Unlike any other part of the NHS. The Royal

College of GPs claims some surgeries have already closed because staff

have not been able to cope with growing workloads. The college

points out there are 300 million GP consultations in the UK in 2008 and

that rose to 340 million by 2012. It claims government funding has fallen

in real terms each of the past three years and that there has been a cut

of 9.1 billion since 2004, when inflation is taken into

consideration. Health ministers say they recognise the vital role that

GPs play. That is why they have cut their targets by more than a third

said they have more time to spend with patients. The Government also

says it is increasing trainees so that the number of GPs will continue

to rise faster than the population. Labour claims this warning shows

patients are being put at risk but health bosses insist they are

spending millions to make it easier to get an appointment. More than

17,000 people have bought properties using the Government's Help To Buy

schemes over the past nine months. Most have been first time buyers.

Labour says rising demand needs to be met by building new homes. Judith

Moritz reports. They help to buy scheme rolled out across the UK from

April last year and the Government is hailing it a success. More than

17,000 properties have been bought through the plan since it was

launched. Each home is purchased with a minimum deposit of 5% from a

buyer. Labour says not enough houses are being built on some critics have

warned Help To Buy may create a housing bubble, with increasingly

unaffordable housing prices but the Government does not agree. It is a

really good way of stimulating the market and getting first-time buyers

onto it, it is actually about 2% of overall sales. The idea it is a

product which is attracting first-time buyers and is overheating

the market is wrong. The Chancellor announced this week that the equity

loan part of the scheme is to be extended until 2020. The gunmen will

loan up to 20% of the value of a new build property. -- the Government.

Buyers of older properties can use the mortgage guarantee scheme, in

which the Government covers the lender 's risk. This has been most

popular in the north-west and Scotland. These latest government

figures show that 88% of overall sales have gone to first-time buyers

and that 114 properties a day are currently being purchased through
