Sudan's Foreign Ministry says that a Christian woman sentenced to death

for refusing to convert to Islam will be released from prison. The

BBC has been told she could be freed within days. There has been

widespread international condemnation of the treatment of

Meriam Ibrahim, who gave birth to a daughter in her prison cell this

week. From Sudan this afternoon, the first

sign that international outrage may save the life of Meriam Ibrahim. Her

husband, Dani Wani, a Christian and American citizen, is in the country

to try to rescue her. The couple, here, on their wedding day. She was

raised as a Christian, but her father was a Muslim. She has been

sentenced to death for renouncing Islam. Dani Wani has recently been

to visit her in jail. TRANSLATION: Her psychological condition seems to

be slightly better. The girl, of course, she is still small but in

new daughter. She was born in the cell this week, while her mother was

in chains. Earlier, protest outside the court were she was not only

sentenced to death for renouncing Islam, but to 100 lashes for

adultery, since her Christian marriage is not considered valid

here. The case has prompted international condemnation. Britain

cannot threaten to withdraw aid, because none of it goes directly to

Sudan's authoritarian government it has been edging the leadership to

show restraint. It does nothing for Sudan's International reputation, a

reputation that needs to be rebuilt. They are holding a national

dialogue, trying to engage with politicians to engage their

political process. This could be a positive first step to ensure that

she is released on humanitarian grounds and is allowed to have the

religion she chooses. Sudan's Constitution guarantees religious

freedom. Within the last few hours, a senior Sudanese official has told

the BBC his government will overrule the sharia court and ensure that

Meriam Ibrahim is released in the coming days. Encouraging news for

one family. But in Sudan, women and religious minorities still face

serious discrimination. Police in Dorset investigating

the disappearance of a nurse, have found a body hidden

in a car in Bournemouth. Rui Li was last seen

after finishing work at Poole Two men have been arrested

on suspicion of murder. From Bournemouth,

here's Jannat Jalil. The body was found late last night,

one week after Rui Li was last seen alive. It had been hidden in a Fiat

punto, parked in a quiet residential street, around five miles from her

home. Forensics officers had been examining the car and surrounding

area. Colleagues describe the 44-year-old nurse as a conscientious

professional with a gentle nature. Two men, a father and son, aged 60

and 26, who detectives say new nurse, had been arrested on

suspicion of murder and are being questioned. A CCTV image of Rui Li

driving her Porsche, with personalised number plates, as she

left work last week, has been released in the hope it will jog

memories. We need to find out a lot about her life, her family,

background and friends. Just because we found a body, does not mean that

this investigation is anywhere near being over at this time. The body

has not yet been identified, but Dorset Police say they believe it is

that of the missing nurse. Although she was last seen alive on Friday,

she was not reported missing until Tuesday. Officers say it is

absolutely crucial to the investigation to establish where she

was over the bank holiday weekend. The car where the body was found has

now been taken away for further examination. Police have searched

several addresses in Bournemouth and are appealing for anyone with

information about either of the cars or Rui Li's personal life to contact

them. There are reports that a number

of people have been injured, after being struck by a vehicle at a rally

car event in the Scottish Borders. Police and ambulance crews are

at the scene.The accident happened during the

who's missing in Malaysia, have called for more to be done to

help find him. Gareth Huntley who's 34,

hasn't been seen since Tuesday. He disappeared while on a walk

on the small island of Tioman, where he'd been working with

a conservation group. His mother has urged David Cameron

to intervene. If he could contact the Malaysian authorities, to ensure

that everything possible is being done, any pressure, anything that

will help to get people out there looking for Gareth. Anything he can

do. Edinburgh's new tram service has

finally opened for business, three years late

and ?200 million over budget. At one stage, there were calls for

the whole thing to be scrapped as the cost grew to more than ?770

million. This is a day many in Edinburgh

thought they would never see. For some, it was a celebration after

years of controversy. It is here now, I think we have to

embrace it and make the most of it. I don't think there is any debate if

they are a good idea any more. The kids seem to enjoy going on them. It

has taken six years of drilling, digging and disruption to build this

tram network. A bitter dispute between the company in charge and

the contractor caused delays. Costs doubled and businesses say they lost

trade. The pain for some might not be over. If these trams proved

popular, and they have already needed extra services today, there

are plans to extend the line all the way to Leith on the outskirts of

Edinburgh. That might prove controversial. I'm really concerned

that the disruption, returns. Other people of Edinburgh, please don't

let this happen again. Why is the City Council so determined to make

this work? In a city that can't take any more cars, what we are trying to

do is encourage people to use public transport. This is part of that

package. On the first day, the new trams have proved to be very

popular. The curious crammed on to see if the project had been worth

the high price tag. Operators will hope that the novelty will not wear

off. An American soldier held by the Taliban in Afghanistan for three

years has been freed. Officials say Bowe Bergdahl was handed over in

good health. He was freed in a deal that included the release of five
