One man has died and many others are seriously ill after 35

people were found in a shipping container at Tilbury Docks in Essex.

Basildon Hospital says it's "responding to a major incident".

The discovery was made early this morning when the ship,

which had sailed from Zeebrugge in Belgium, was being unloaded.

The emergency services were called here early this morning after the

first reports that more than 30 people had been found inside a

container. The first priority was to get medical help to the docks. To

assess those found, to treat some of those at the scene and to take them

to local hospitals. That has happened. They have all been taken

to the local hospitals. Some of them are suffering from severe

dehydration and hypothermia. The container was found at Tilbury docks

as the ship was being unloaded. 35 people including children were

discovered inside. One man has died and others have significant health

problems. Seven ambulances, doctors and a response team were among those

sent to the scene. That'll be in hospital says it is responding to a

major incident -- Basildon. 19 people are being treated. This is

primarily a container port and not such a prime target for illegal

immigrants as ports on the south coast. The nationality of those

involved is not yet known. Police, the UK border force and the east of

England ambulance service are dealing with the incident.

Although we know where the ship came from, we do not know where the

container originated. We do not know what their nationalities are. Police

are looking for interpreters to speak to some of those people at the

hospital. The container was one of 50 on the vessel and all of the

containers have been searched to make sure there are no other

people. That work is expected to be completed soon. There is a joint

investigation involving police in Belgium who are looking at CCTV

deceived they can find out anything more about this container. -- to

extremists have massacred 80 Yazidi men and abducted women and children

in a village close to Sinjar. It's claimed the militants

from the group Islamic State murdered the men after they refused

to convert to Islam. Caroline Wyatt reports from

refugees will to the news of another massacre of their people. AT Yazidi

but over all 80,000 refugees have come here. Unless these Islamic

State voters are pushed back, more people could flee. This video was

released by the militants. Strokes are reported to be heading their

surveillance. British aid is on its way. For now, the youngest refugees

seek what normality they can but all of those here are clear, this safe

haven needs British help, aid and arms to remain that way.

Well, a huge cheer has just gone up behind me here,

as the crowd has spotted the Pope on the back of his Popemobile,

Huge numbers of people, hundreds of thousands have turned

out here in Seoul this morning to greet the Pope.

But of course many of these Korean Catholics have waited all their

lives to see a Pope, because there hasn't been one here since 1989.

These people had come not just to celebrate mass with Pope Francis,

but to witness him beatifying more than 100 Korean Catholic martyrs.

These were the people who brought the Catholic

faith to Korea 200 years ago, and were executed for doing so.

It was a ceremony loaded with symbolism.

Pope Francis standing in front of the old Royal Palace,

the very place from which Catholics were persecuted.

In Korea, Catholicism is not tainted by

scandal and has long been identified with helping the poor and the sick.

In that respect, Pope Francis seems to fit in very well here.
