people were found in a shipping container at Tilbury Docks in Essex.

:00:32.:00:34.

Basildon Hospital says it's "responding to a major incident".

:00:35.:00:36.

The discovery was made early this morning when the ship,

:00:37.:00:39.

which had sailed from Zeebrugge in Belgium, was being unloaded.

:00:40.:00:42.

Live now to our correspondent, Daniel Boettcher,

:00:43.:00:43.

The emergency services were called here early this morning after the

:00:44.:00:57.

first reports that more than 30 people had been found inside a

:00:58.:01:01.

container. The first priority was to get medical help to the docks. To

:01:02.:01:07.

assess those found, to treat some of those at the scene and to take them

:01:08.:01:10.

to local hospitals. That has happened. They have all been taken

:01:11.:01:17.

to the local hospitals. Some of them are suffering from severe

:01:18.:01:23.

dehydration and hypothermia. The container was found at Tilbury docks

:01:24.:01:32.

as the ship was being unloaded. 35 people including children were

:01:33.:01:36.

discovered inside. One man has died and others have significant health

:01:37.:01:40.

problems. Seven ambulances, doctors and a response team were among those

:01:41.:01:46.

sent to the scene. That'll be in hospital says it is responding to a

:01:47.:01:55.

major incident -- Basildon. 19 people are being treated. This is

:01:56.:02:01.

primarily a container port and not such a prime target for illegal

:02:02.:02:04.

immigrants as ports on the south coast. The nationality of those

:02:05.:02:10.

involved is not yet known. Police, the UK border force and the east of

:02:11.:02:13.

England ambulance service are dealing with the incident.

:02:14.:02:21.

Although we know where the ship came from, we do not know where the

:02:22.:02:29.

container originated. We do not know what their nationalities are. Police

:02:30.:02:32.

are looking for interpreters to speak to some of those people at the

:02:33.:02:38.

hospital. The container was one of 50 on the vessel and all of the

:02:39.:02:40.

containers have been searched to make sure there are no other

:02:41.:02:48.

people. That work is expected to be completed soon. There is a joint

:02:49.:02:53.

investigation involving police in Belgium who are looking at CCTV

deceived they can find out anything more about this container. -- to

extremists have massacred 80 Yazidi men and abducted women and children

in a village close to Sinjar. It's claimed the militants

from the group Islamic State murdered the men after they refused

to convert to Islam. Caroline Wyatt reports from

Northern Iraq. Help at last, but today these

seek what normality they can but all of those here are clear, this safe

The runway at Doncaster Sheffield Airport, also known as Robin Hood

:04:59.:05:01.

Airport, is still closed this morning, after a small passenger

:05:02.:05:04.

The plane cannot be moved until an investigation has been completed.

:05:05.:05:12.

Passengers are being checked-in as normal for their flights, but their

:05:13.:05:15.

Pope Francis has celebrated a huge open air mass

:05:16.:05:22.

in the centre of the South Korean capital Seoul, attended by hundreds

:05:23.:05:25.

It's the biggest event of his five day visit to the country.

:05:26.:05:30.

During the mass, Pope Francis beatified 124

:05:31.:05:32.

From Seoul, Rupert Wingfield-Hayes reports.

:05:33.:05:38.

Korean media claims the crowd was one million strong.

:05:39.:05:41.

Stretching for more than a kilometre through the middle of Seoul.

:05:42.:05:46.

And then Pope Francis, riding in his Korean Popemobile, made his way

:05:47.:05:50.

Well, a huge cheer has just gone up behind me here,

:05:51.:05:57.

as the crowd has spotted the Pope on the back of his Popemobile,

:05:58.:06:02.

Huge numbers of people, hundreds of thousands have turned

:06:03.:06:07.

out here in Seoul this morning to greet the Pope.

:06:08.:06:09.

But of course many of these Korean Catholics have waited all their

:06:10.:06:14.

lives to see a Pope, because there hasn't been one here since 1989.

:06:15.:06:22.

These people had come not just to celebrate mass with Pope Francis,

:06:23.:06:25.

but to witness him beatifying more than 100 Korean Catholic martyrs.

:06:26.:06:29.

These were the people who brought the Catholic

:06:30.:06:31.

faith to Korea 200 years ago, and were executed for doing so.

:06:32.:06:36.

It was a ceremony loaded with symbolism.

:06:37.:06:39.

Pope Francis standing in front of the old Royal Palace,

:06:40.:06:43.

the very place from which Catholics were persecuted.

:06:44.:06:48.

In Korea, Catholicism is not tainted by

:06:49.:06:50.

scandal and has long been identified with helping the poor and the sick.

:06:51.:06:54.

In that respect, Pope Francis seems to fit in very well here.

:06:55.:07:04.

The next news on BBC One is at 5:20pm.

:07:05.:07:07.

Given the time of year that there is nothing particularly settled about

:07:08.:07:28.

the weekend across the British Isles. We will see blustery winds,

:07:29.:07:32.

some
