Police in Ghana have arrested the boyfriend of the former

Her body was found at their family home in Kent on Tuesday,

along with the bodies of their two sons Zachary,

Their father Arthur Simpson-Kent was detained by the authorities

in Ghana this afternoon as Andy Moore reports.

These are said to be pictures showing the arrest of Arthur

Simpson-Kent in the southern an a in city. Scotland Yard would only say

that they had been made aware of an arrest but couldn't discuss the

matter further. The bodies of Sian Blake and her two children were

found in the back garden of their home in south-east London after

police never dogs were called in. It was three weeks after they'd been

reported missing full stop police said all three had died as a result

of head and neck injuries. 43-year-old Sian Blake had appeared

in more than 50 episodes of Eastenders in the late 1990s as soul

singer Frankie. Eight-year-old Zachary on the left was the son of

Miss Blake's former partner, Mr Simpson Kent, so was four-year-old

Amon on the right. Earlier this week shambles access to called for Mr

Secretary, Vince Cable, thinks without a strong regulator,

that a lot of bad things are still happening, that is why

you need tough regulators. The government flatly rejects any

suggestion that it leaned on the FCA Far from going soft,

the government says it has introduced a raft of measures

to make the banks far safer and far less willing to take risks

with their money and that The government is acutely aware

between allowing banks to operate and preventing abuse

Let's return to news that police in Ghana have arrested the boyfriend of

former Eastenders actress Sian Blake, whose body was found that

there family home in Kent on Tuesday along with those of their two Young

sons. Alastair Leithead is in Ghana, where the arrest happened just a

short time ago. A very dramatic afternoon there? Very much so, this

is the exact spot right on the coast, this is called the Butre

hills, it's a small tourist, backpacker town along this coast in

Ghana. He was, Arthur Simpson-Kent, was in these rocks when police came

down here armed, he was apparently cutting into a coconut when they

surprised him. They were heavily armed and he immediately

surrendered. They found a knife on him but he didn't threaten them but

he went with the police back up the hills round the corner. This is a

promote spot. He'd been seen in this area for some days, it was only when

the photograph came out and the people here started realising that

police suspected and were looking for in connection with those murders

in the UK was actually here. The alarm was raised and we spoke to the

assembly men here. He called the police in, they arrested him, they

took him from here to the next biggest town where the police

station is, and then to Accra under the watchful eye of Interpol.
