Impassioned pleas from both sides, as the EU referendum campaign | :00:08. | :00:10.
resumes, with just days to go before the crucial vote. | :00:11. | :00:14.
David Cameron faces a public grilling on television, | :00:15. | :00:18.
invoking the spirit of Churchill, urging voters not to give up | :00:19. | :00:21.
I don't think Britain at the end is a quitter. | :00:22. | :00:28.
But the Vote Leave Campaign says Britain now has | :00:29. | :00:38.
a golden opportunity, to regain its sovereignty. | :00:39. | :00:40.
Vote Leave and protect our great democracy. | :00:41. | :00:51.
Tributes at church services today, for the MP Jo Cox, who died | :00:52. | :00:53.
after being attacked in her West Yorkshire constituency. | :00:54. | :00:57.
A year on, we join one British survivor of the terror attacks | :00:58. | :01:01.
in Tunisia, as he goes on a 'journey of healing' to the scene | :01:02. | :01:03.
Andy Murray wins a record fifth title at Queen's Club, in London. | :01:04. | :01:36.
David Cameron has urged voters to "stay and fight" | :01:37. | :01:41.
within the European Union, warning that quitting | :01:42. | :01:46.
would have "a huge effect on our lives and opportunities". | :01:47. | :01:49.
The Prime Minister's plea on the BBC's Question Time this | :01:50. | :01:51.
evening, came as the referendum campaign resumed, following | :01:52. | :01:54.
a suspension in the wake of the killing of the Labour MP, | :01:55. | :01:55.
Mr Cameron was questioned repeatedly by the audience about immigration, | :01:56. | :01:59.
admitting that controlling the numbers coming in was | :02:00. | :02:01.
Our Deputy Political Editor John Pienaar reports. | :02:02. | :02:09.
He is back. The respectful pores over. The campaign was halted by a | :02:10. | :02:17.
tragic death but now the message was charged with emotion, ready for the | :02:18. | :02:21.
live audience tonight. His first words were respect the Jo Cox, but | :02:22. | :02:29.
respect and politics with barely a breath between them. Two children | :02:30. | :02:33.
have lost that mother and a loving husband has lost his wife. My heart | :02:34. | :02:37.
breaks when I think about them and what they are going through. The | :02:38. | :02:40.
most important thing for politicians is to remember what she was about, | :02:41. | :02:47.
service, community and tolerance. Wherever we see intolerance, hatred | :02:48. | :02:51.
and division we should drive it out of our communities and public life. | :02:52. | :02:56.
So the tribute was also a call to vote Remain and there wasn't much | :02:57. | :03:01.
respect for what some saw as scare stories. Do you not think you are | :03:02. | :03:05.
scaremongering rather than portraying the facts? I was simply | :03:06. | :03:12.
saying, I think one of the strongest arguments for remaining in the | :03:13. | :03:14.
European Union is we are stronger together. He talked economic risk, | :03:15. | :03:20.
members of the audience talked about migration. You are not doing | :03:21. | :03:23.
anything to counterbalance the immigration coming into these | :03:24. | :03:29.
services. The questions kept coming. Europeans come here because they see | :03:30. | :03:33.
the problem at home. And the target of migration below 100,000 a year is | :03:34. | :03:38.
just an ambition. I believe net migration on that scale is the right | :03:39. | :03:43.
ambition but the country. Is it your target because a lot of people say | :03:44. | :03:48.
your failure to hit the target has exacerbated the argument about | :03:49. | :03:52.
immigration. There are good ways of controlling immigration, and the | :03:53. | :03:56.
welfare changes are good ways. There are bad ways of controlling | :03:57. | :03:58.
immigration that would be leaving the single market and damaging the | :03:59. | :04:02.
economy. In a moment of drama, about his place in history, was he an EU | :04:03. | :04:10.
appeaser? Are you a 21st-century Neville Chamberlain waving a piece | :04:11. | :04:13.
of paper in the air, saying to the public, I have this promise where | :04:14. | :04:19.
dictatorship in Europe can overrule it. No, a famous warrior. At my | :04:20. | :04:26.
office I sit two yards away from the Cabinet room where Winston Churchill | :04:27. | :04:29.
decided in May 1940 to fight on against Hitler. The best and | :04:30. | :04:34.
greatest decision anyone has made in our country. He didn't quit on | :04:35. | :04:38.
Europe, democracy and European freedom. We want to fight for those | :04:39. | :04:42.
things to day. We cannot fight if you are not in the room. That | :04:43. | :04:49.
aggression was turned on the Leave side. Turkey will join the EU. Not | :04:50. | :04:55.
true. There will be a European army with Britain in it. Not true. We | :04:56. | :05:01.
give 350 million a week to Brussels. Not true. If we vote to leave the | :05:02. | :05:06.
EU, but don't do it on the basis of three things that are completely | :05:07. | :05:10.
untrue. David Cameron is gathering everything on Britain choosing to | :05:11. | :05:15.
remain to fear of economic risk. If voters one outcome and he's | :05:16. | :05:18.
determined to stay on, but senior colleagues are commenced it will be | :05:19. | :05:20.
time to say goodbye. Well immigration featured heavily | :05:21. | :05:26.
during campaigning today, and there were signs of a difference | :05:27. | :05:29.
in tone, within the Leave camp. Boris Johnson said he was in favour | :05:30. | :05:32.
of an amnesty for illegal immigrants, who'd been in the UK | :05:33. | :05:34.
for more than 12 years, while Nigel Farage defended | :05:35. | :05:37.
a controversial Ukip poster unveiled last week, | :05:38. | :05:41.
showing a queue of migrants Here's our Political | :05:42. | :05:42.
Correspondent, Ben Wright. The hurly-burly has returned | :05:43. | :05:47.
to the campaign trail. And on this Father's Day, | :05:48. | :05:55.
here's one dad who didn't spend You've done a great job | :05:56. | :05:58.
because you've put While Stanley Johnson roused | :05:59. | :06:03.
the Remain campaign in Hyde Park, Boris Johnson rallied Leave | :06:04. | :06:08.
campaigners on the other Take back control of | :06:09. | :06:10.
huge sums of money. As this bitterly-fought referendum | :06:11. | :06:15.
enters its final days, immigration has again | :06:16. | :06:16.
dominated the debate. But from the Leave campaign, | :06:17. | :06:22.
a change of tone. I am the proud descendant | :06:23. | :06:24.
of Turkish immigrants. Let me stun you perhaps by saying | :06:25. | :06:31.
I will go further, I'm not only pro-immigration, | :06:32. | :06:34.
I am pro-immigrants and I am in favour of an amnesty for illegal | :06:35. | :06:38.
immigrants who have been This is a Leave campaign now | :06:39. | :06:41.
straining not to sound devisive or inflammatory on the issue | :06:42. | :06:46.
at the heart of their case | :06:47. | :06:51.
for leaving the EU. In part, because of this - | :06:52. | :06:54.
a poster unveiled by Ukip last week showing migrants walking | :06:55. | :06:57.
to a refugee camp in Slovenia. It has drawn criticism from | :06:58. | :07:01.
the official Vote Leave campaign. I am pro-migration but I believe | :07:02. | :07:05.
the way in which we secure public support for the continued benefits | :07:06. | :07:09.
that migration brings, and the way we secure public support | :07:10. | :07:13.
for helping refugees in need is if people feel they can control | :07:14. | :07:15.
the numbers overall coming here. This morning, Ukip's leader stood | :07:16. | :07:20.
by his poster but said the outcome of the referendum had changed | :07:21. | :07:23.
because of the death I wish an innocent member | :07:24. | :07:26.
of Parliament had not been I think we all wish | :07:27. | :07:31.
that, of course we do. Frankly, had that not happened, | :07:32. | :07:37.
I don't think we would have had Today, Labour's leader defended EU | :07:38. | :07:40.
migration and said pressure on infrastructure and services | :07:41. | :07:46.
was a failure of government. He was asked if there could be | :07:47. | :07:49.
an upper limit to migration numbers I don't think you can have one | :07:50. | :07:51.
while you have the free I think the free movement of labour | :07:52. | :07:56.
means you have to balance the economy so you have do improve | :07:57. | :08:01.
living standards and conditions. The Chancellor George Osborne | :08:02. | :08:06.
said legitimate concerns about immigration were being felt | :08:07. | :08:08.
in every Western country, but this referendum had to be | :08:09. | :08:11.
about the economy. Rich, international investors | :08:12. | :08:13.
are taking their money out They are delaying investment, | :08:14. | :08:17.
the stock market has gone down. The British people can't | :08:18. | :08:22.
take their money out of Britain, they will be left with their money | :08:23. | :08:26.
and their livelihoods in Britain on Friday, | :08:27. | :08:29.
next week if we vote to leave and they will be the people | :08:30. | :08:31.
paying the price. As this Vote Leave rally shows, | :08:32. | :08:34.
this campaign will be hard Because there's one point both sides | :08:35. | :08:36.
agree this week's vote is a massive choice, | :08:37. | :08:43.
an irreversible decision about the future | :08:44. | :08:47.
direction of our country. After a sombre three-day pause, | :08:48. | :08:50.
this referendum campaign is back at full pelt and soon, | :08:51. | :08:53.
you will have your say. Our Political Editor, | :08:54. | :09:00.
Laura Kuenssberg is with me. Four days to go before the public | :09:01. | :09:08.
decides, what is your reading of whether campaigns are as weak enter | :09:09. | :09:14.
the final week? We saw David Cameron fighting for this tonight. We are in | :09:15. | :09:18.
the last ditch efforts on both sides. The Prime Minister is also | :09:19. | :09:21.
fighting for his career. But this decision is bigger than any eligible | :09:22. | :09:26.
party, it will have a huge influence on all futures, not this year, not | :09:27. | :09:32.
just in five years, but decades to come. Whatever we decide will have a | :09:33. | :09:35.
profound impact around the continent and around the rest of the European | :09:36. | :09:40.
Union. A few interesting things, nobody expected a few months ago at | :09:41. | :09:44.
the beginning, it would feel so close in these closing days. Both of | :09:45. | :09:49.
the main parties have found it hard to grapple with this question. I | :09:50. | :09:53.
think many big political players have been surprised either fact it | :09:54. | :09:58.
has been so difficult to get voters to listen to what they are saying. | :09:59. | :10:02.
The possibility we might vote to leave has crept up on the political | :10:03. | :10:07.
class. What ever the result, it raises questions for what politics | :10:08. | :10:11.
will look like in the months and years after the vote. Yes, the main | :10:12. | :10:15.
clashes between the politicians have been about the economy and | :10:16. | :10:19.
immigration, but this is something bigger. It is about our identity and | :10:20. | :10:23.
whether we are ready to tear up the settlement we have had with our | :10:24. | :10:27.
continental neighbours for decades, and try to make something new. The | :10:28. | :10:31.
night, nobody knows what is going to happen. The result is hugely unclear | :10:32. | :10:36.
and so much is still in play. Thank you. | :10:37. | :10:41.
Moving tributes have been paid to the MP Jo Cox at church services | :10:42. | :10:44.
in Birstall in West Yorkshire, where she was shot and | :10:45. | :10:46.
In one sermon she was described as a "21st-century good | :10:47. | :10:52.
samaritan" and "passionate advocate for the poor". | :10:53. | :10:54.
The man accused of her murder, Thomas Mair, will appear | :10:55. | :10:56.
It's four days since this town lost its MP, a husband lost his wife | :10:57. | :11:05.
and two young children lost their mother. | :11:06. | :11:10.
A place to reflect on Jo Cox's life and the values she lived for. | :11:11. | :11:17.
She represented love and peace all round. | :11:18. | :11:20.
It doesn't matter what colour you are, what creed | :11:21. | :11:25.
I just hope it brings the community together and what she fought for, | :11:26. | :11:30.
And today Jo Cox was remembered at St Peter's Anglican Church | :11:31. | :11:39.
Her humanity was powerful and compelling. | :11:40. | :11:50.
And we would do well to recognise her as an amazing example a 21st | :11:51. | :11:55.
And today this message from Brendon Cox, Jo's husband. | :11:56. | :12:04.
Already a memorial fund in Jo's name has raised more than ?600,000. | :12:05. | :12:24.
What's striking here is not just the number of flowers that have | :12:25. | :12:29.
been brought down here, it's the messages that | :12:30. | :12:33.
They are personal, they are genuine and they tell the story of how | :12:34. | :12:38.
Just someone who represented everyone and someone | :12:39. | :12:46.
who could represent what Britain should be about and it | :12:47. | :12:49.
And tomorrow Parliament will be recalled. | :12:50. | :12:56.
MPs from all sides will come together to speak of | :12:57. | :12:59.
Three 12-year-old girls being treated in hospital | :13:00. | :13:13.
after taking ecstasy pills in Salford, are said | :13:14. | :13:16.
A man and a woman have been arrested on suspicion of being in possession | :13:17. | :13:23.
It's almost a year since a gunman opened fire on a beach in Tunisia | :13:24. | :13:29.
killing 38 tourists, 30 of whom were from the UK. | :13:30. | :13:32.
It was the greatest loss of British life in a terror attack, | :13:33. | :13:34.
The so-called Islamic State claimed responsibility for the assault | :13:35. | :13:40.
One survivor, Colin Bidwell from Sussex, wanted to return | :13:41. | :13:45.
to Tunisia, and the BBC took him back, for what he called | :13:46. | :13:48.
Our correspondent Orla Guerin has this special report. | :13:49. | :13:54.
Psyching himself up to face the past and all its trauma. | :13:55. | :14:06.
Colin Bidwell returns to the Imperial Marhaba Hotel. | :14:07. | :14:10.
A difficult journey that he wanted to make. | :14:11. | :14:29.
And here, the gunman stalking the shore where Colin and his wife | :14:30. | :14:39.
He leads me to the beach which became a killing ground. | :14:40. | :14:55.
Just had the headphones on, just heard some sounds. | :14:56. | :14:57.
Thought, fireworks like everyone else did. | :14:58. | :15:02.
Just turned, looked at my wife on the sunbed next to me | :15:03. | :15:06.
and she was already off the sunbed, running in that direction. | :15:07. | :15:11.
I just decided to run straight down the beach into the sea. | :15:12. | :15:17.
I could still hear everything still going on. | :15:18. | :15:22.
Then, a reunion with Mohammad Bensaid. | :15:23. | :15:33.
He rescued Colin and other tourists from the sea. | :15:34. | :15:38.
It was a very good thing you did for me, thank you. | :15:39. | :15:46.
Only when Colin was pulled from the water, he realised he had | :15:47. | :16:00.
At the local hospital, he searches the wards | :16:01. | :16:13.
where he and other victims were treated by staff | :16:14. | :16:15.
This was Colin just after the attack. | :16:16. | :16:22.
Now he's here with a message of gratitude. | :16:23. | :16:24.
Just to say thank you very much from everybody, | :16:25. | :16:26.
Back at the beach, Colin is hoping there will be a full recovery | :16:27. | :16:42.
I hope and pray it becomes a safe country, that other people can come | :16:43. | :16:49.
Because the economy has been ruined because of one person. | :16:50. | :16:56.
There's still a lot of survivors that will be scared to come back | :16:57. | :16:59.
and I understand that, I was scared coming here. | :17:00. | :17:01.
But for me, it was a process and I had to do it. | :17:02. | :17:04.
I had to process it to put me in a better place, where I am today. | :17:05. | :17:10.
But, for Colin and other survivors, nothing can wash away the horror | :17:11. | :17:15.
of what happened on the golden sands of Sousse. | :17:16. | :17:26.
With all the sport, here's Katherine Downes | :17:27. | :17:29.
Andy Murray has become the first man to win five titles at Queens Club. | :17:30. | :17:35.
It took three sets to beat Canadian Milos Raonic - | :17:36. | :17:41.
but it was a strong performance by Murray, with just a week to go | :17:42. | :17:45.
Andy Murray striding to what he hoped it would be more history. All | :17:46. | :17:58.
of his success has been with Ivan Lendl as his coach. Now he wants | :17:59. | :18:05.
Ivan Lendl to bring the best out of him again. Facing Milos Raonic was | :18:06. | :18:09.
also going to be a tall order. The Canadian had never won a grass court | :18:10. | :18:13.
title, but it was on course to do that when he edged the first set on | :18:14. | :18:19.
a tie-break, much to Marie's frustration. After a poor start to | :18:20. | :18:22.
the second set, Andy Murray hit back. This is the first time Milos | :18:23. | :18:26.
Raonic had been broken all tournament and the match was soon | :18:27. | :18:31.
level. Murray describes this court as the finest in the world and he | :18:32. | :18:37.
was producing a performance worthy of gracing it. Milos Raonic had no | :18:38. | :18:42.
answer. His partnership with Ivan Lendl resuming in style. Even if he | :18:43. | :18:48.
did make a quick exit. It was nice of him to stick around for the | :18:49. | :18:54.
presentation. Obviously a good first week back together. Big thanks to | :18:55. | :19:00.
all of my team. Murray was one of eight men to win Queens four times. | :19:01. | :19:05.
With Wimbledon week away, he becomes the first player to do it for a | :19:06. | :19:07.
fifth. Hosts France have topped their group | :19:08. | :19:12.
at the European championship after a nil nil draw | :19:13. | :19:14.
with Switzerland - who finished 2nd and also qualify | :19:15. | :19:17.
for the last 16. In the group's other final game, | :19:18. | :19:19.
Albania beat Romania one nil to finish 3rd - | :19:20. | :19:22.
giving them a chance of progressing. Wales and England are preparing | :19:23. | :19:24.
for their final group games. Tomorrow England take on Slovakia | :19:25. | :19:26.
knowing a draw would see them While Wales need a win | :19:27. | :19:29.
against Russia if they're Our correspondent Hywell Griffith | :19:30. | :19:35.
reports from Toulouse. After waiting so long to reach a | :19:36. | :19:47.
major football tournament, Welsh fans aren't ready to leave just yet. | :19:48. | :19:52.
But to lose in Toulouse tomorrow would mean going home. Win or draw | :19:53. | :19:57.
against Russia and the journey should continue. Having been through | :19:58. | :20:01.
the hurt of losing to England last week and letting in an injury time | :20:02. | :20:07.
goal... Daniel Sturridge scores. The challenge for Wales is to lift | :20:08. | :20:11.
themselves up. They were quite deflated after the England match. | :20:12. | :20:17.
Too soon to go home? Happily, we want to stay longer. As do the | :20:18. | :20:21.
players, want to move onto the next level knowing it would exceed | :20:22. | :20:24.
expectations. They have put themselves in a great position and | :20:25. | :20:28.
we have just got to go on the pitch again tomorrow without any fear. | :20:29. | :20:33.
This is a team that has made history to go beyond the group stages and | :20:34. | :20:37.
that would be even more momentous. For England, tomorrow is more about | :20:38. | :20:42.
fine tuning. And deciding who is the best goal threat with Jamie Vardy | :20:43. | :20:46.
looking to force his way into will stop some feel Harry Kane has looked | :20:47. | :20:51.
tired. He has been very good in training the last couple of days. I | :20:52. | :20:56.
think he is suffering more from this season than any other player. This | :20:57. | :21:02.
weekend, Toulouse has been celebrating Celtic culture. | :21:03. | :21:04.
Tomorrow, Wales have to make sure this isn't their swansong. | :21:05. | :21:09.
Nico Rosberg has won the European Grand Prix in Baku. | :21:10. | :21:11.
The German had a trouble free race, starting from pole and extends his | :21:12. | :21:16.
His Mercedes teammate Lewis Hamilton was 5th. | :21:17. | :21:20.
And the final round of the US Open golf is underway at Oakmont. | :21:21. | :21:22.
Ireland's Shane Lowry has the lead, he's 6-under after four holes. | :21:23. | :21:34.
Ireland's Shane Lowry has the lead, he's 5-under after four holes. | :21:35. | :21:36.
Dustin Johnston of the USA is two shots behind. | :21:37. | :21:39.
This weekend has seen the world's first ever | :21:40. | :21:43.
live music performance, inside a volcano. | :21:44. | :21:45.
It was part of a festival being held in Iceland, | :21:46. | :21:47.
and an attempt by organisers to stand out in a crowded market. | :21:48. | :21:49.
And as Chi Chi Izundu reports, it was a pretty exclusive affair, | :21:50. | :21:51.
Not your average journey to a festival. | :21:52. | :22:01.
With this gig there are only two ways to get to the venue. | :22:02. | :22:04.
Hike across lava fields with the changeable Icelandic | :22:05. | :22:07.
weather, or, if you can afford it, a short flight. | :22:08. | :22:13.
This volcano erupted 4500 years ago, but they only allowed the public | :22:14. | :22:22.
The journey to get to this part is via this special lift and it | :22:23. | :22:29.
will be the same nearly as me scaling Big Ben | :22:30. | :22:32.
Over the last decade, the explosion of festivals means | :22:33. | :22:50.
Annually, tens of thousands happen across Europe alone | :22:51. | :22:55.
and with the summer spent going from one to another, | :22:56. | :22:58.
even this is a standout event for the international artists. | :22:59. | :23:02.
When I was asked to do this, my first thought was when will | :23:03. | :23:08.
I ever get the chance to do something | :23:09. | :23:11.
But, with the hefty price tag, was it worth it? | :23:12. | :23:18.
Even with not knowing what bands were performing, I knew the | :23:19. | :23:20.
Also being a part of something for the first time obviously, | :23:21. | :23:25.
I don't want to get in the lift back up. | :23:26. | :23:31.
Events like this aren't cheap to put on either, so it doesn't | :23:32. | :23:35.
Above ground, an unforeseen cost, the rapid deterioration | :23:36. | :23:45.
of the weather meant an evacuation by the coastguard. | :23:46. | :23:50.
But, the storm didn't dampen spirits. | :23:51. | :24:00.
