David Cameron has seen off opposition from his own

Burma is a country undergoing extraordinary economic and

political changes. He can't head of state has visited the White House.

-- the current. The Burma's people want more jobs, of affordable food

and clothing and a constant supply of gas and electricity. Can the

Correspondent our correspondent has more.

It's been two years since Burma embarked on its momentous journey.

What have its people got to show for it? More freedom, certainly.

More newspapers and more traffic. There is a lot more money and a

greater choice of goods to buy. But as a few get richer, the rest of

the population may become resentful. What will really transform their

lives, though, is jobs. Low-cost textiles could be the ideal job

creator at this early stage in the country's re-engagement with the

world economy. But even Burma's low wages won't be enough to compensate

for shortages of power and poor infrastructure for many potential

investors. An early magnet for investment will be Burma's natural

resources - oil, gas, timber and minerals. Profits are more certain

here. There are pitfalls, as this Chinese-owned copper mine has

discovered. The lack of clarity over land rights has prompted

strong protests and rising anti- Chinese sentiment. After decades of

repression, Burma's people have found their voice and are using it.

Most of the population still relies on making a living from agriculture.

In Burma, it lags behind neighbouring countries. More

financial and technical help here could make the biggest difference

to the lives of people who have to wait many years for alternative

Rescue workers have recovered three more bodies from a collapsed

underground panel in Indonesia. The death toll stands at 21. Many are

missing and feared dead. The mine collapsed last week when workers

were undergoing safety training. Our correspondent has more.

These are the first pictures of the accident site at Freeport's

Grasberg mine which took place last week. The footage was shot by the

company. Foreign journalists are banned from reporting from Papua.

Getting reliable information from this area is often tricky. Search

and rescue teams have been working around the clock, trying to get to

the miners trapped inside seven days after the tunnel first

collapsed. Freeport's boss flew out to the mines to inspect the rescue

operations. We are very serious about this. It is like we lost

family members. We want to provide support. We want people working

here to be safe because it is dangerous. They are doing that. We

are going to respond to this. We will make sure this never happens

again. Freeport is taking the accident very seriously. It is the

most devastating tragedy to hit the Grasberg mine ever. At the hospital,

we met with some of the survivors pulled out last week. Many more

remain unaccounted for, trapped inside the mine. It's still not

clear what caused the tunnel to collapse. Already, there has been

pressure on the American mining The Indonesian President, Susilo

Bambang Yudhoyono, has called for a thorough investigation into the

Freeport tunnel collapse. He has said that workers in his country

are entitled to complete protection. The issue of workers' rights is a

sensitive one for Freeport. The Grasberg mine is home to huge

reserves of gold and copper and it's frequently been the source of

controversy with many Papuan employees saying the American

mining giant is guilty of exploiting its workers.

In other news: Apple held billions of dollars in America unit to avoid

taxes to the US government. A Senate report on the structure

concluded that these profits were tax very little or not at all. Tim

Cook will testify before Congress on Tuesday. Apple said it doesn't

use tax gimmicks. It will pay $7 billion of taxes for this year.

The Boeing Dreamliner returns to commercial service to the US for

the first time since it was grounded by overheating batteries.

United is the only American carrier to operate the 787 craft. The other

seven airlines that operate that particular model will be watching

to make sure that all goes to plan. Yahoo announced on Monday that it

is buying the social media website Tumblr. You probably know it is for

blogs. It was founded by then 20- year-old David Carp in 2007. It has

more than 108 million microblogs and has revenue of millions of

dollars. It makes barely any profit. What will the deal do for Asia? I

put the question to an expert in Hong Kong. Yahoo will invigorate

themselves a little bit. It has been a bit of a stagnant company

over the last five years in particular. Their user base is

quite ageing, certainly in the US and on a global scale. Getting into

Tumblr with quite a younger base opens up a new market for them.

Tumblr is a social network. Indeed it will open up new markets for

Yahoo. But Tumblr is not a very popular social media site in Asia.

Do you think it will help them here among Asian users? Tumblr is still

a young company. We don't exactly know how many users they have in

Asia. Yahoo is popular in Asia. They have a younger users more in

Asia than America. Fines will open up. How will the deal affect here

who's battle against Google and Facebook? Yahoo need all of the

moment they can get. They have been losing ground against North America

in the last several years. In 2011, it was overtaken by the Google

display network as the biggest display advertising in North

America. Yahoo has been losing against the two companies. They

need all they can get, especially when they can tap into a new

network with younger users. It puts them in a better position.

China cannot be a free rider in the global trade. That comment was made

to the BBC. The EU is trying to strengthen its transatlantic ties.

We have decided that we agreed on the principle to Lord an

come to an amicable solution. If that solution does not surface,

282. A passionate debate, a momentous decision. The General

Assembly broke with centuries-old teaching, prohibiting homosexuals.

Liberal congregations such as St Andrews had pressed for the freedom

to choose actively gay ministers in civil partnerships. They had

powerful support in the Assembly. Am I accepted in this church or not

because I am a gay woman? It undermines my very core.

traditionalists pleaded for a decisive return to the church's

long-standing teaching that sexual activity should be restricted to

marriage between a man and woman. The Bible does not anywhere endorse

same-sex activity as pleasing to God. We are not talking about

orientation here. That's different. We are talking about same-sex

sexual activity. Nevertheless, the General Assembly voted parishes to

have the freedom to appoint ministers in gay relationships.

What you have actually done is given the green light to active

homosexuality among ministers. That can't be described as not being a

big change in the church's laws. We have not done that. We still

hold the traditional view the Church has held. But we also uphold

the view that congregations have the right to call the Minister of

their choosing. The Church of Scotland claims the decision is

confusing and contradictory. For others, it is clear enough. The

decision, an unthinkable until recently, will resound far beyond

the boundaries of Scotland. It may be some time before the next

actively gay minister is appointed. But this will remain the moment the

church accepted active homosexuality and was changed

opened 46,000 capacity arena in the northern city. The new stadium will

host three Confederation Cup ties and will be one of the 12 venues

confident it won't be too many before his five-year major drought

comes to an end. The world number one was speaking at a media day

ahead of the US Open in Philadelphia next month. There's a

few years where I wasn't exactly helping. I missed a bunch of major

championships. Now that my game has come around, I'm shown signs of it

last year, you know, I think I was in the lead at the US Open, PGL

right there, and the Masters was going pretty good until that nice

little one at the 15. I've been there, and then this past week at

the Players, it's another big event. I end up doing well that week. So

my game's coming around and to have won you know, seven times the last

couple of years is something I'm proud of. And Woods has never been

the biggest fan of being interviewed by journalists. There

was a classic example in Monday's press conference. He was asked

about the prospect of ending his feud with GarciaT pair exchanged
