and a grandparent and I think that

would realise the challenge

failed. Every child in this country

life. What you take from pregnancy

look at that period, it has a

their lives. The development at this

area is the inclusion of the social

Children from backgrounds with

their families being more at risk,

just poorer, they have, compared to

outcomes in the early years, in

creativity, speech, confidence

gap between children from low income

closing with the calculation in the

it will take 40 years at the present

means, with the rate that technology

in our society is bound to increase.

good provision really work. And I
quote again, disadvantaged children | 0:02:34 | 0:02:42 | |
in the best areas, they are twice as
likely to reach a good level of | 0:02:42 | 0:02:47 | |
development at the age of five
compared with similar children in | 0:02:47 | 0:02:51 | |
the worst areas. Poor performance
isn't concentrated in any type of | 0:02:51 | 0:02:56 | |
area but similar practices, and
places, perform very differently, | 0:02:56 | 0:03:02 | |
reflecting the role and the
