I'm disappointed that it has come to

members in the other place. The

inclusion by the government of laws

case of imperial arrogance for one

of incompetence. Having listened to

the Minister said at the last year

the devolution debate that the

government were working on at

struggling to find the correct

wording for the amendments, I

suspect the latter is the end of the

matter. I look forward to seeing

these amendments that committee

stage in taking part in the debates

that will follow. The Prime

Minister's decision to announce so

and sal early in the withdrawal

process that we would be leaving the

single market and Customs union was

a mistake in my view. A red line

that would have a real impact on

Wales. The rejection of the

amendments in the other place to put

them in this bill is disappointing.

If a similar amendment is proposed

at the committee stage, I will

support it.
