Good news once more that a Welsh Conservative is in the office.

He will be supporting David Jones.

Stephen Crabb is the Conservative MP for Preseli Pembrokeshire.

The appointments were made as the new Cabinet met for the first time.

Two new faces have joined the Wales Office.

We had an opportunity earlier in the day...

..to see David Cameron's new Cabinet together for the first time...

..during the first PMQs session since the summer.

The Cabinet members having been announced, David Cameron went back

to the House of Commons today. want the communities department

building houses and culture department rolling out broadband

and the other departments delivering. Ed Miliband raised

questions. It's the same old questions and the same old policies.

The new Cabinet members had work to do today. It was the first meeting

of the Cabinet today. David Jones is the new Welsh Secretary. There

were appointments for Stephen Crabb, as a deputy for David Jones. I can

do it well and he is really keen that jobs are done well,

particularly in the Wales Office. It was a good appointment according

to another Conservative MP. It's good news. He will support David

Jones, another Welsh Conservative. Baroness Randerson from the Liberal

Democrats will also be a minister in the Wales Office. It is an

opportunity for the ministers to There will now be a Liberal Democrat

..in order to retain discipline among the backbenchers.

..but the Welsh Government has defended the sales.

There is plenty of Greenland around Cardiff. It's possible that housing

could be built here. The land has been sold to South Wales Land

Involvement. The company is registered on Guernsey. �21 million

has been spent on various pieces of land. Was that enough money? The

Conservatives have raised a number of questions. The process should be

much clearer. That's my opinion. We should be able to see this land

being marketed on the market, to make sure we get the value for

money. Cardiff council want housing told built on this land. But if

that happens perhaps the value of the land may increase. That's by

millions of pounds. But is this the best time to sell this land? People

have their doubts. We are in a recession. The value of land is

down. The value is as low as it has been for the past decade.

increase in prices can be seen clearly. These statistics show that

the price of petrol has increased by 38% between June 2007 and this

year. Do the prices go down when the value of crude oil goes down?

That is what the Office of Fair Trading will be investigating.

Competition within the industry will be considered. And whether

there is enough competition in rural areas. What effect are the

supermarkets having on the industry? That's another question.

That will be asked. Supermarkets can sell it cheaper because they

have a shop that makes money, so that they can use the money from

that to bring down the price of fuel. How long does it take for

crude oil to come over to this country from other places? The

prices increase overnight. Something needs to be done. The

crude oil price goes down, but the prices don't go down in answer to

Wales' Older People's Commissioner ..about fewer places being available

The latest statistics show there are 600 fewer beds across Wales...

..and that one in five beds have disappeared within five years.

The independent sector is now responsible for 85% of provision.

Local authorities insist they are investing in community care.

With financial pressures it is a challenge for local authorities to

keep their care homes going. have social workers and they were

assessing my mother and that took time. We had a number of meetings

to see if my mother was OK to go to a home. It is very important that

there are places available. It is hard enough knowing that your

mother has to go to a home, but it's important that we have such

places. Denbighshire has three care homes. Since 2005 there have been

29 fewer beds available at care homes like this one. In some

counties they do not have any care homes run by local authorities. One

person who has fought for care in the home thinks things are not

simple. We had to fight for care in the community. We managed to get it

before the cuts. I cannot imagine what it is going to be like for

families when they close these homes. It's a terrible situation.

publish a report soon. People are staying at home for longer periods

than they have been doing. But a time comes when you may need more

care and a lot of people make the decision to go into a care home.

The Welsh Government says other options are available. But private

homes also are offering care but there has not been much change in

The Ministry of Justice is asking for the general public's opinion...

..on plans to improve the provision of Welsh language services.

The aim is to ensure that Welsh speaking prisoners...

..are able to use their first language.

Campaigns have been run to make sure this is possible.

your language, that's what the -- that was experience for William

Dolben. I was not able to speak Welsh to social workers. Or prison

staff. You would not get it unless you made a fuss. I was told I would

have to wait for it. The new Welsh language measure has raised the

question about provision of Welsh language services in prison. Things

should be well, especially if they come from the Home Office. They

should respect the language in this country. But we have to fight for

things in Welsh. On average some 7,000 criminals are sentenced every

year. Many of those are sent to prisons in England. The ability to

watch S4C is one of the recommendations that have been put

forward. A campaign has come to light recently where one person in

prison had a tough time when asking for Welsh language. It is only

right that people are allowed to use Welsh language services in

A third Welsh-medium secondary school has opened in Cardiff...

The other two Welsh secondary schools are full. It was clear that

a third secondary school was required. That school will be

located in the eastern part of the city. We predict there will be more

The sun was shining in Brands Hatch today. It has been home to a number

of Grand Prixs in the past, but today the crowds turned out to see

the best Paralympic cyclists competing. Mark Colbourne was one

of these competitors. The Welshman finished 12 seconds behind the

world champion in the time trial. It was a silver medal for the

Welshman who was overjoyed with the result. It was very tough for me to

climb some of these hills, which are between 7 and 11%. It was very

tough. But on the outskirts, on the closed sections, that is when you

try to make up your time. After being struck by a car it has been a

tough time for this Welsh cyclist. He finished fifth today. Sarah

Storey has won today with a minute- and-a-half advantage. Mark

Colbourne will be competing again Sailor Steve Thomas from Bridgend

The long awaited and ferocious rugby wheelchair competition has begun.

David Anthony from Neath is the only Welshman in the British squad.

They lost their first match against the USA.

Oscar Pistorius has returned to the track for the first time...

Pistorius is safely through to tomorrow's 100m final.

There have been

There have been great performances, but it's not just the individuals

that have contributed to the success. We have so many youngsters

in the British team, many of them are under 20 years old and that

says a lot for the future. There were ten golds for Wales in Beijing.

Is it a disappointment this year that we have one fewer? Things are

much more difficult this time. More countries are competing and things

are getting much more competitive. We have to look at what has

happened in London and consider that when we go to Rio.

football competitions have ended and the camps have closed in Wales,

so is there anything left for Wales? We are now talking about the

legacy of the Games. There has been a surge of interest in people

wanting it join sports clubs. It's important that we can work towards

the future to make sure we do much better in future. What about

thuerism? Things are very difficult at -- tourism? Things are very

difficult at the moment with the economy, but there's no point in

complaining. We have to look to the future and see what we can do.
