Gary Dobson was 17 in April 1993 and David Norris was 16. According

to legal guidelines, they were sentenced as if they were still

that age instead of being men in their late 30s. 12 years is the

shortest sentence the judge could give both, and that was mostly

because the attack 18 years ago was a racist one. Neither of the men

spoke in court today as they were sentenced. We have been in limbo

for so long. Today is an opportunity to start moving on and

try to take control of my life once more. From the start five men have

been suspected of the assault. All five were named in Sir Macpherson's

report, but all five denied the allegations. Two of them are now in

prison. One of my greatest hopes is that these people now realise they

have been found out. It is now going to lay down in their bed, and

they will give up the rest of the people. Alun Michael was a Home

Office Minister when Jack Straw called for a public inquiry into

the murder of Stephen Lawrence. wanted to do things properly.

Macpherson did go into the details, and that changed people's minds

within the police force at the time. The case has led to far-reaching

changes in the law and the way police react to race crimes. There

is a memorial to Stephen Lawrence near the spot where he died, but

that has been vandalised four times. Flowers were laid there today in

Only one story could be seen on the front pages of today's newspapers.

The headlines emphasised how long Stephen Lawrence's family had to

wait to see their boy's murderers being punished. While sentencing,

the judge had to consider that David Norris and Gary Dobson were

under 18 at the time, but this lawyer said the sentences are

strict. The judge said today they'll have to be given life

sentence, but after sentences of 14 and 15 years, they could apply for

parole. It is similar to a 50 or 28-year sentence. One of the

reasons they're now in prison for killing Stephen Lawrence is the

development in forensic science. When this murder took place, the

techniques available today were not available. Fibres and blood on the

clothes could be used to find 4 -- find those involved. According to a

lecturer from the Police Science Department at the University of

Glamorgan, a lot has changed since the days of that attack. There has

been a lot of training concerning the issue of racism within police

forces. Stephen Lawrence's body was laid to rest in Jamaica. More than

18 years have passed since he was killed. Some of the questions

Shelly Hobson from Tumble is a single mother to three children.

She's currently studying hair dressing. For Shelley, having a

warm home is crucial. The oil and electricity bills are the most

expensive bills she has to pay. most difficult thing is finding the

money to pay for these bills. It costs a lot - about �350 to fill

the oil tank. That's very expensive. According to Save the Children,

many parents on low incomes don't receive support from energy

companies. The charities have more than 45,000 families in Wales are

eligible to receive �120 under the Heating Homes Scheme, but many are

not aware of this. Any help to pay these bills would be a great

support for low-income families. Energy UK says the main energy

companies have written to customers to inform them of the support

available. According to the Save the Children Questionnaire, almost

half the parents questioned said they were considering spending less

on food to save on energy bills. That doesn't surprise Shelly Hobson.

The children are in school full time, so that saves a lot with

heating. They get meals in school, but when they are off school for

awhile, the bills increase again. You want the children to eat well.

For children at play, keeping a happy and content home is a

pleasure, but many parents in Wales are finding the reality more

Dan Collins was

Dan Collins was 29 and appeared to be happy man and a proud soldier,

but behind the smile he had psychological scars. In 2009 as a

member of the Welsh Guards, he was almost killed four times in Helmand

province. He was shot twice and was caught up in two explosions. After

returning home, he bought a pint for the man who was responsible for

designing the protective clothing that saved his life. But losing his

best friend, Lance Sergeant Dan Collins, -- Dane Elson during

husband time in Afghanistan weighed heavily on his mind. On new year's

day, he hanged himself. I thought he was a right bit far from it.

He's suffered a lot more than a lot of people. It was a constant

struggle. It's feared cases of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder may be on

the increase because soldiers have been serving in countries such as

Iraq and Afghanistan. We give these young people months

of training before sending them out. They need months of support once

they return. Those who need most support with their health should be

given it. We're not giving enough. While trying to come to terms with

the terms of Dan Collins, his girlfriend and close friends say

badly. The race seems to be getting clearer. Mitt Romney seems to be

the favourite. If you are talking about less than a small percentage,

that is important when it comes to enthusiastic supporters. He still

has a lot of work to convince the party that he is the right man for

this job. He is the favourite. But Rick Santorum also has a lot of

backing, but the race isn't over yet. The race will now head to New

What price history and heritage? According to Carmarthenshire County

Council, �150,000. That is how much it costs every year to keep two

museums open. Carmarthenshire County Council are looking to make

savings next year. Nobody was available for an interview from the

council today, but the council leader said today nobody wanted to

see these two museums being closed. She said it was an issue for

councillors of every party to decide what to cut. We have to

improve this budget. We have to protect some services. The museum

came high on that list. We have to protect our heritage. The museum in

Carmarthen is home to the old oak and a lot of other treasures.

of the treasures aren't even on view to the public. We also have

schools coming in to visit. They will have to go to other places.

That would be a disaster. Carmarthenshire County Museum --

Parc Howard Museum was a gift to the museum from the Llanelli family.

It will be celebrating 150 years this year. We need to keep it

because the people of Llanelli need to be able to see their history.

This is what has caused so much concern. It's believed PIP implants

have been given to 40,000 women in Britain. The implants were banned

in 2010. The French Government has offered to pay for operations to

remove them because of the concern that they may rupture and cause

health problems. It's a worrying time for Karen Arthur from

Pontypridd. She said she was advised to remove them after they

ruptured. Many of the large cosmetic doctors haven't been using

them since 2010, but it is important that we see how many were

used. But why the concern? It's feared something may go wrong. The

French authorities say complications may arise with a high

per cent of them. The MHRA in Britain says the figure is 1%, but

one private clinic in London says the figure could be 7%, but that

figure was taken from a sample of 108 patients. There needs to be

better regulation of the cosmetic surgery industry. Some of the

necessary steps have not been taken to improve the laws so that people

who receive cosmetic surgery are protected.

effect of smoking on patients is quite far reaching. We estimate

that one in five people suffer because of smoking at the hospital.

The reaction to the idea was welcomed on the whole. It is a good

idea to stop people smoking in the entrances.

..writing about their experiences to record life on Anglesey in 2012.

The buckwheats are one of the most famous families from Anglesey. --

Buckleys. Their diaries can be found at the archives. The diarys

of two sisters make interesting reading. They went out to Australia,

and we can see the history of the journey here. With this project,

we're looking for the stories of ordinary people. We went to record

anything and everything about life on the island for the future.

than 100 people have already signed up for this project. I was able to

look at old diaries when I was researching. I knew these diaries

had been written when someone was crossing the Andes in South America.

It was very exciting to read these diaries. I hope that by writing

these with hand, people will be able to imagine the life we had.

The work has started at Ysgol Parc y Bont. It is history for people in

the future. We will be able to look back at this and compare this with

the past. The only guideline is that the diaries must be
