from Islamic State, we find the battle is far from over. | :00:30. | :00:34.
IS militants still control parts of the | :00:35. | :00:37.
Their flags are still flying a few hundred yards from here | :00:38. | :00:40.
The bridge - Sweden's open door to the rest of Europe closes | :00:41. | :00:53.

I wonder if these guys ever do the cooking at home. | :01:20. | :01:29.
It is more than a week since the Iraqi | :01:30. | :01:31.
government forces announced they had won the battle for Ramadi, | :01:32. | :01:33.
liberating the key city from so-called Islamic | :01:34. | :01:37.
But large parts are still under extremist control and fighting | :01:38. | :01:40.
Around 200 militants are thought to be holding out, | :01:41. | :01:44.
as thousands of civilians flee the violence. | :01:45. | :01:47.
The BBC was the first international broadcaster to reach | :01:48. | :01:50.
Our reporter travelled into the heart of | :01:51. | :01:54.
the city and sent this exclusive report. | :01:55. | :02:00.
This is what the fight against so-called | :02:01. | :02:01.
Six months of brutal jihadi rule, a government offensive and coalition | :02:02. | :02:07.
air strikes have devastated the city. | :02:08. | :02:12.
We set off with Iraqi special forces to see what the victory they claimed | :02:13. | :02:15.
As we push into the centre, it is clear | :02:16. | :02:22.
the battle for Ramadi is far from over. | :02:23. | :02:27.
This is the front line in Iraq's war against IS. | :02:28. | :02:32.
The soldiers say they have regained much of the city, | :02:33. | :02:43.
but the fight is still going on and IS militants still control | :02:44. | :02:46.
Their flags are still flying a few hundred yards | :02:47. | :02:51.
Peer through the sniper's window and you see the Iraqi flag. | :02:52. | :03:01.
The black banners of Islamic State are flying, defiant. | :03:02. | :03:07.
Government troops say fighting IS is the hardest of all battles. | :03:08. | :03:12.
Much of the front line is rigged with | :03:13. | :03:14.
explosives and IS is an unpredictable enemy. | :03:15. | :03:19.
The west has trained Iraqi soldiers for this | :03:20. | :03:22.
The US, Britain and their partners are conducting air strikes | :03:23. | :03:26.
TRANSLATION: The support from coalition forces is important | :03:27. | :03:32.
because without them we would suffer a lot more casualties. | :03:33. | :03:41.
An air strike is called in as families emerge, | :03:42. | :03:43.
This woman says her house was blown up. | :03:44. | :03:52.
She told me she and her husband were taken by the jihadis and used | :03:53. | :03:55.
TRANSLATION: We were stuck for ten days, each time | :03:56. | :04:02.
there was bombing our homes would shake. | :04:03. | :04:04.
A warm meal and a first taste of freedom. | :04:05. | :04:13.
This woman escaped with her children, still traumatised. | :04:14. | :04:19.
The mother tells me how IS ruled their | :04:20. | :04:21.
You were not allowed out without a man and you were forced | :04:22. | :04:28.
We were not allowed to use mobile phones. | :04:29. | :04:33.
But the war against Islamic State in Iraq will not end | :04:34. | :04:38.
There will be more fighting as soldiers prepare to move | :04:39. | :04:45.
As Islamic State loses control in parts of Iraq and Syria, | :04:46. | :04:50.
it is widening its influence in other areas. | :04:51. | :04:59.
The Swedish Deputy Prime Minister shed tears as she announced new | :05:00. | :05:06.
border controls. The bridge crossing from Sweden to Denmark made famous | :05:07. | :05:10.
by the TV crime drama at the bridge will no longer be open for business | :05:11. | :05:15.
as usual. As Jenny Hill reports, the decision has caused unease in | :05:16. | :05:20.
Sweden. This is a country which likes to get on with its neighbours. | :05:21. | :05:26.
The bridge is a link to Denmark and an open door to the rest of Europe. | :05:27. | :05:34.
Not any more. For the first time in 50 years, there are controls at the | :05:35. | :05:39.
border. Trains are re-routed, commuters delayed, refugees turned | :05:40. | :05:43.
away. No one without a passport get in. Here is why. 160,000 refugees | :05:44. | :05:53.
arrived last year. Sweden is running out of room. This tent city was | :05:54. | :05:58.
hastily built just a few weeks ago. These tents are destined for | :05:59. | :06:03.
disaster zones overseas, right now Sweden is having to use them to do | :06:04. | :06:08.
with the crisis right here on its own doorstep. This is one of the | :06:09. | :06:12.
most welcoming countries in Europe when it comes to refugees, but that | :06:13. | :06:18.
is starting to change. Who knows what that means for Javid. He hopes | :06:19. | :06:23.
his wife and children will join him from Afghanistan. Sweden, he tells | :06:24. | :06:27.
us, has been good to him. People have given you clothes. The border | :06:28. | :06:33.
controls are said to be temporary. Some fear they will do permanent | :06:34. | :06:38.
damage. This is supposed to be the Schengen zone, where European | :06:39. | :06:40.
citizens have the right to borderless travel. No wonder | :06:41. | :06:50.
perhaps, the Deputy premise to shed tears as the decision was announced. | :06:51. | :06:53.
The decision she described as terrible. It has gone down badly | :06:54. | :07:01.
here as well. The people in this coffee shop told us they have | :07:02. | :07:05.
friends, jobs, even homes just across the bridge in Copenhagen. I | :07:06. | :07:11.
had a nightmare the other day that I went to Copenhagen to shop and I | :07:12. | :07:16.
didn't have any passport and I was like how am I supposed to come home? | :07:17. | :07:22.
I think we are going in the wrong direction. I think we probably | :07:23. | :07:29.
should be more into the soul of Sweden and be more welcoming. I | :07:30. | :07:34.
don't think there will be adding the situation is the way to do it. As | :07:35. | :07:39.
Sweden struggles with its decision, the refugee crisis continues to | :07:40. | :07:44.
divide Europe. Exposing its borders, perhaps even changing its horizons. | :07:45. | :07:53.
Finally, the biggest TV shows in South Korea are about cooking and | :07:54. | :07:57.
the stars are men. A lot has changed in the last few years. Male | :07:58. | :08:02.
dominated kitchens would have been to boot. Stephen Evans has been | :08:03. | :08:04.
finding out if more men in the kitchen has brought changes for | :08:05. | :08:12.
South Korean women. Turn on the TV in South Korea and easy these days | :08:13. | :08:24.
is men in the kitchen. Move through the channels and male celebrity | :08:25. | :08:30.
chefs dominate the ratings. Sam Kim is a star in the studio and in his | :08:31. | :08:36.
own restaurant. If you want to spend time with family, if you go | :08:37. | :08:41.
somewhere public, everyone comes to see me and they want to take a | :08:42. | :08:48.
picture together. If I go outside, everyone wants me. The rise of meal | :08:49. | :08:54.
cooking shows how this very traditional country is changing | :08:55. | :09:00.
fast. This is a cooking competition for men. This man is 65. He had a | :09:01. | :09:09.
spell working abroad what his family stayed home in Korea so he did what | :09:10. | :09:13.
his father never did, he learned to cook. In the past in Korea men or | :09:14. | :09:22.
boys could not approach the kitchen and they didn't know how to cook. | :09:23. | :09:31.
Men cannot live without a wife. Men in Abrams is one sign of changing | :09:32. | :09:37.
gender roles as South Korea modernisers, traditional ideas of | :09:38. | :09:41.
what men should do and what women should do our changing. Men, what a | :09:42. | :09:51.
performance. Always cooking the big meet for the special occasion. I | :09:52. | :09:54.
wonder if these guys ever do the cooking at home. While the men | :09:55. | :10:02.
compete at cooking, the women state next door looking after the | :10:03. | :10:06.
children. Young women not get jobs and work just as much as men. The | :10:07. | :10:12.
figures show that when they reach 30, they leave work to have | :10:13. | :10:21.
children. More men in the kitchen doesn't it mean more women in top | :10:22. | :10:33.
jobs in business. That's all for this week. From me and the home team | :10:34. | :10:36.
in London, goodbye. | :10:37. | :10:47. |
