That's all from us. It's goodbye from me. And on BBC One | :00:00. | :00:14.
On tonight's Reporting Scotland: A murder-accused takes the stand. The | :00:15. | :00:21.
man on trial for killing his mother and cutting up her body denies | :00:22. | :00:24.
knowing anything about it, saying any rows they had at their Edinburgh | :00:25. | :00:28.
home were just banter. Scotland's economy continues to | :00:29. | :00:31.
grow, this time by 0.7%, but shops have found it tough going. | :00:32. | :00:38.
With heating bills soaring, we look at the work being done to make homes | :00:39. | :00:48.
more energy-efficient. Just practically moved downstairs, slept | :00:49. | :00:51.
on the city. But what a difference now. -- slept on the so far. | :00:52. | :00:58.
Also on the programme: Salmond leaps into the row on the river. The First | :00:59. | :01:02.
Minister announces a review of how the country's wild fisheries are | :01:03. | :01:04.
managed. And a new signing emerges for | :01:05. | :01:07.
Celtic. Stefan Johansen speaks of his excitement at joining the | :01:08. | :01:15.
Scottish champions. A man accused of murdering his | :01:16. | :01:18.
mother and burying her dismembered body on a hill has told the High | :01:19. | :01:22.
Court in Edinburgh he had nothing to do with her death. James Dunleavy | :01:23. | :01:26.
said he got on fine with his mum Philomena but that she would | :01:27. | :01:28.
routinely go missing. Joanne Macaulay reports. | :01:29. | :01:32.
Philomena came to Edinburgh to stay with her son in April that his flat. | :01:33. | :01:38.
In June her remains were found on Corstorphine Hill. Today the man | :01:39. | :01:46.
accused of her murder, her son, James Dunleavy, took to the witness | :01:47. | :01:51.
stand and under cross examination conceded that he was the last person | :01:52. | :01:56.
to see his mother alive. But he denied assaulting and killing her, | :01:57. | :01:59.
saying that she had simply left without saying goodbye. James | :02:00. | :02:04.
Dunleavy said that his mother would routinely go missing and had | :02:05. | :02:07.
occasionally gone abroad on occasion without telling anyone. He said that | :02:08. | :02:13.
she was not -- he was not surprised last May when he disappeared from | :02:14. | :02:20.
his flat without warning. He said that a neighbour had misinterpreted | :02:21. | :02:24.
a bit of an two between them as an argument. He said that he had done | :02:25. | :02:28.
nothing wrong to his mother and that he expected her to miraculously | :02:29. | :02:33.
appear again. James Dunleavy senior said that his son had phoned him in | :02:34. | :02:37.
April or May last year to say that Philomena was on her way home, but | :02:38. | :02:43.
his father said that she never returned. A picture was shown of a | :02:44. | :02:53.
made up construction of the skull found on the Hill. James Dunleavy | :02:54. | :02:58.
said that he did not think that the reconstruction leaked anything like | :02:59. | :03:04.
his mother. The trial is expected to hear closing speeches tomorrow. | :03:05. | :03:09.
James Dunleavy denies murder and attempting to defeat the ends of | :03:10. | :03:15.
justice. Scotland's economy is showing signs | :03:16. | :03:18.
of growth for the sixth consecutive quarter. It grew by 0.7% from July | :03:19. | :03:22.
to September last year, although the figure is slightly lower than the UK | :03:23. | :03:26.
as a whole. However, there are signs that shops have found it tough | :03:27. | :03:29.
going. Here's our Business and Economy Editor Douglas Fraser: | :03:30. | :03:36.
christmas cheer or oblique, windswept midwinter. | :03:37. | :03:45.
For Scotland's shops this was a time to make money. But even the spend on | :03:46. | :03:52.
food was down, despite rising prices. Some things were selling | :03:53. | :03:57.
OK, tablet computers and men's slippers, while January shoppers | :03:58. | :04:03.
looked for value. I am retired now. Everyone is having to be more | :04:04. | :04:08.
careful. You do not have to wait until January now, there were a lot | :04:09. | :04:13.
of sales in December. You get a better deal online and people are | :04:14. | :04:17.
more interested in saving money and you can do that more online than in | :04:18. | :04:22.
supermarkets and in shops. That is one big factor in explaining the | :04:23. | :04:29.
shops's shortfall. We had a record year for online cells, -- online | :04:30. | :04:38.
sales. A lot of retail growth is coming from the online multichannel | :04:39. | :04:46.
sectors. Retail put another damper on growth today. Scotland's economy | :04:47. | :04:56.
grew by 0.7% from July to September. Whilst you can see that the key | :04:57. | :05:02.
measure of Scottish outfit has had an uncomfortably bumpy years, the | :05:03. | :05:06.
last six quarters have witnessed accelerating growth. So when you see | :05:07. | :05:09.
the figures for the whole 2013, will that continue? The underlying case | :05:10. | :05:17.
looks to be sustained. There is a specific factor as far as Scotland | :05:18. | :05:20.
is concerned that could dampen the numbers. This time round, chemicals | :05:21. | :05:27.
and petrochemical refining were really quite strong, but the last | :05:28. | :05:29.
three months have in a period when much of Grangemouth was closed down. | :05:30. | :05:35.
Scottish figures will take against own words. The Scottish economy does | :05:36. | :05:42.
look set fair to continue growing through 2014. There is more aid food | :05:43. | :05:49.
-- output in the economy which should have an impact and that could | :05:50. | :05:54.
be reflected in the outcome of the Scottish independence referendum in | :05:55. | :05:57.
September. Which side will benefit? You decide. | :05:58. | :06:01.
Two men Another man was taken to Ninewells | :06:02. | :06:05.
Hospital in Dundee with serious injuries. | :06:06. | :06:14.
Detectives investigating the murder of a Glasgow woman who was killed | :06:15. | :06:18.
while walking her dog are turning to the internet to catch her killer. | :06:19. | :06:21.
Police say more than 10,000 people have seen their appeal today on | :06:22. | :06:24.
Facebook and Twitter for information about the murder of Jean Campbell in | :06:25. | :06:28.
the Cranhill area of the city. They hope to reach 200,000 people by the | :06:29. | :06:32.
end of the week. Aileen Clarke reports. | :06:33. | :06:40.
This is the last sighting that the police have of Jean Campbell, by the | :06:41. | :06:48.
railings of Cranhill Park. She was caught on the CCTV camera. The | :06:49. | :06:54.
Detective Chief Inspector spoke to me. She would have walked down the | :06:55. | :06:58.
foot past year and into this disused children's play area. She would have | :06:59. | :07:03.
let the dog off the lead as she walked into this particular area and | :07:04. | :07:06.
she was found by her husband lying on the ground around 7:40pm. What | :07:07. | :07:15.
you know about how she met her death? It was a particularly violent | :07:16. | :07:18.
death, her husband is devastated. All her family want to find who is | :07:19. | :07:29.
responsible for this. Information has been posted on the Internet in | :07:30. | :07:34.
the hope of reaching people. We're just trying to tap into these | :07:35. | :07:41.
channels and reach as many people as we can. There was an extensive | :07:42. | :07:46.
search of the area at the time. Local people have given DNA samples | :07:47. | :07:50.
and detectives are working on this case. Even the DNA of the dog is | :07:51. | :07:56.
being looked at for clues. Is any evidence that this point that the | :07:57. | :08:02.
dog did try to attack her killer? There is no evidence at this time. | :08:03. | :08:08.
The police do not know who killed her or the motive. They're hoping | :08:09. | :08:12.
that social media may provide the breakthrough that they need. Still | :08:13. | :08:17.
to come on the programme: Salmond leaps into the row on the river. The | :08:18. | :08:21.
First Minister announces a review of how the country's wild fisheries are | :08:22. | :08:23.
managed. In sport: We hear from the latest | :08:24. | :08:27.
Nordic import hoping to make an impact in this country - he's | :08:28. | :08:29.
Celtic's latest sigining. And we'll tell you about the | :08:30. | :08:32.
call-ups of uncapped players ahead of Scotland's Six Nations campaign. | :08:33. | :08:37.
Numerous solicitors in Scotland found guilty of professional | :08:38. | :08:40.
misconduct are continuing to receive millions of pounds in legal-aid | :08:41. | :08:43.
payments. Some of the misconduct cases involve dishonesty and fraud. | :08:44. | :08:48.
Samantha Poling has this exclusive report. | :08:49. | :08:58.
Scotland's last legal aid bill was ?150 million. We discovered 33 | :08:59. | :09:04.
solicitors who had found guilty of professional misconduct but still | :09:05. | :09:09.
able to receive a share of these public funds. For had -- four of | :09:10. | :09:16.
them had misled clients, one had been convicted of assault and | :09:17. | :09:23.
domestic abuse. And another has been investigated for embezzling court | :09:24. | :09:30.
fines. Most solicitors I do not think going to the profession with | :09:31. | :09:36.
the intention of teen dishonest, defrauding clients and doing the | :09:37. | :09:39.
kind of things that we have talked about here. Whether the structures | :09:40. | :09:46.
are sufficiently robust to capture or catch those bad apples, and catch | :09:47. | :09:51.
them early enough, certainly in the Scottish examples, it is a really | :09:52. | :09:56.
moot question. The Scottish Legal Aid Board told us that it was not | :09:57. | :10:02.
their job to regulate the legal profession, that job lies with the | :10:03. | :10:07.
Loss Is It Of Scotland. It represents every solicitor in the | :10:08. | :10:18.
country. The Law Society investigates complaints and takes | :10:19. | :10:21.
them to the tribunal. Therein lies the problem. The Law Society | :10:22. | :10:28.
investigates the cases. Yes, it does. So this is solicitors marking | :10:29. | :10:34.
their own homework. This is the police policing the police. All of | :10:35. | :10:39.
those decisions are taken by committees that are 50% | :10:40. | :10:47.
non-solicitors. But there are no investigation is... There is | :10:48. | :10:50.
actually no doubt that the Law Society is doing its job properly. | :10:51. | :11:01.
The Scottish Solicitors Tribunal told us that the system was robust. | :11:02. | :11:04.
And you can see that full investigation, Lawyers Behaving | :11:05. | :11:06.
Badly, tonight on BBC One Scotland at 10.35pm. | :11:07. | :11:12.
Police Scotland stopped and searched more than half a million people in | :11:13. | :11:20.
the first nine months of the voice's existence. Police say that | :11:21. | :11:26.
the controversial pact it is helping to reduced violent crime and keep | :11:27. | :11:40.
the public safe. Now, what can households do to reduce their fuel | :11:41. | :11:45.
bills? Energy prices have risen sharply in | :11:46. | :11:48.
recent years, and increasing numbers of us are turning to energy | :11:49. | :11:52.
efficiency measures in a bid to cut the cost of heating our homes. In | :11:53. | :11:56.
the second of our special reports on Scotland's power needs, David | :11:57. | :11:58.
Henderson has been meeting one woman whose life has been changed by | :11:59. | :12:01.
insulation. This is where I used to Peter curtain up every winter to | :12:02. | :12:04.
save the draft that was coming down the stairs. For this woman, her home | :12:05. | :12:09.
being warm as a new experience. You'll market was absolutely frozen. | :12:10. | :12:19.
I practically moved to downstairs and slept on the settee. The whole | :12:20. | :12:24.
home is a different temperature. Homes like this, built decades ago, | :12:25. | :12:31.
can be difficult to heat. So the landlord, Glasgow Housing | :12:32. | :12:37.
Association is trying to improve that. We want properties to be as | :12:38. | :12:43.
energy efficient as possible. The huge amount of investment that we | :12:44. | :12:48.
have carried out, is frustrated by the fact that energy prices have | :12:49. | :12:54.
gone up by 150% during the time we have been working. Think about the | :12:55. | :13:00.
improvement that we could have had. Many householders are following suit | :13:01. | :13:06.
using government funding to pay for loft and cavity wall and shall | :13:07. | :13:10.
issue. Across Scotland in the last two years 90,000 homes have been | :13:11. | :13:15.
improved in this way. But it has not stopped most fuel bills from rising. | :13:16. | :13:23.
Customers may not be happy with what they are paying for fuel, but it | :13:24. | :13:28.
seems that few were -- that fewer of them choose to switch energy | :13:29. | :13:32.
suppliers. In the last few years there has been a steady decline in | :13:33. | :13:36.
the number of people switching. The people who switched least are the | :13:37. | :13:52.
most fuel for... Poor, and they are missing out on that. David | :13:53. | :13:58.
Henderson, Glasgow. And tomorrow our environment | :13:59. | :14:01.
correspondent David Miller will be looking at how Scotland might meet | :14:02. | :14:04.
its future energy needs. Other stories from across Scotland | :14:05. | :14:10.
this Wednesday. The inquiry into the Super Puma | :14:11. | :14:14.
crash in which 16 men died has heard that engineers at operator Bond were | :14:15. | :14:17.
"under the spotlight" because of the ditching of another of their | :14:18. | :14:20.
helicopters in the North Sea six weeks previously. But maintenance | :14:21. | :14:24.
manager John Crowther said it had a positive effect rather than a | :14:25. | :14:28.
negative one. The inquiry continues. One of the country's most wanted tax | :14:29. | :14:31.
fugitives has been arrested in Cyprus. Michael Voudouri from Bridge | :14:32. | :14:34.
of Allan pleaded guilty to money laundering linked to VAT fraud, but | :14:35. | :14:38.
failed to appear for sentencing at the High Court in Glasgow in 2012. | :14:39. | :14:43.
New detailed online maps showing which areas of Scotland are at risk | :14:44. | :14:46.
of flooding have been made available to the public. They can be found on | :14:47. | :14:51.
the Scottish Environment Protection Agency website. | :14:52. | :14:55.
Dumfries and Galloway Council has agreed to pay the company running | :14:56. | :14:58.
their waste and recycling facilities an extra ?600,000 a year. Shanks | :14:59. | :15:04.
Waste Management is said to be losing around ?2 million a year, | :15:05. | :15:07.
less than halfway through a 25-year contract. The council has been told | :15:08. | :15:12.
it is more cost-effective than re-tendering. | :15:13. | :15:16.
Highland Council has sought planning permission in principle for four | :15:17. | :15:18.
projects associated with the controversial Inverness West Link | :15:19. | :15:24.
Road. The local authority wants to relocate Torvean Golf Course, create | :15:25. | :15:27.
a new sports hub at Torvean, and extend Kilvean Cemetery. Local | :15:28. | :15:32.
campaigners say the road will lead to the loss of green space. | :15:33. | :15:37.
And there are more stories from your area and all the latest news on BBC | :15:38. | :15:48.
Scotland's website. A week tomorrow, voters go to the polls in the | :15:49. | :15:51.
Cowdenbeath by-election. In this Scottish Parliamentary | :15:52. | :15:54.
constituency Labour is defending a majority of just over 1200. The | :15:55. | :15:57.
issues are public services, public spending, but above all the state of | :15:58. | :16:00.
the economy. This from our political editor, Brian Taylor. | :16:01. | :16:10.
The name is Cowdenbeath but this constituency is a disparate amalgam | :16:11. | :16:14.
of small towns and villages in West Fife. Once, Cole was king but now | :16:15. | :16:25.
jobs are scarce and precious. -- coal. Alex Rowley is defending a | :16:26. | :16:30.
Labour majority. He encounters anxiety and unemployment. There was | :16:31. | :16:36.
about 6000, 7000 men in that yard. Not now. He insists he supports the | :16:37. | :16:45.
council tax freeze until 2016 and insists he will be equally robust in | :16:46. | :16:51.
Parliament. I will be a strong voice speaking up for the issues that | :16:52. | :16:54.
matter in this constituency, jobs, skills, training. In the 2011 | :16:55. | :17:03.
Scottish parliamentary elections the SNP won every constituency in Fife | :17:04. | :17:07.
except Cowdenbeath. Labour managed to hold on, stemming the tide of the | :17:08. | :17:14.
SNP avalanche. It indicates the extent to which Labour is entrenched | :17:15. | :17:19.
in this constituency. Nationalists say they are making strides with | :17:20. | :17:23.
policies like the council tax freeze and free school meals for infants. | :17:24. | :17:30.
Their candidate opposed the SNP's switch to support NATO but can she | :17:31. | :17:38.
win? It is Labour's for the losing but when we speak to people on the | :17:39. | :17:42.
doorstep we get an excellent response. If we can speak to enough | :17:43. | :17:46.
people I am confident we have the right messages. The Tories start | :17:47. | :17:52.
third. The candidate is a local councillor. He is disarmingly up | :17:53. | :17:58.
yet. We are on the beach and I see us as a reach head and one day we | :17:59. | :18:04.
will make a big break-out. For the Liberal Democrats it is about | :18:05. | :18:07.
defending the UK Government and attacking the Scottish one. Taxes | :18:08. | :18:13.
are going down, there are more jobs. People are quite critical of the | :18:14. | :18:20.
SNP. UKIP say they are fresh voice. We believe that small businesses are | :18:21. | :18:25.
the lifeblood of this county. They should not have regulation and | :18:26. | :18:30.
directives from Europe. So it is about politics, local, Scottish, | :18:31. | :18:34.
UK, but mostly popular choice for people in this constituency. | :18:35. | :18:40.
And Brian is back in Cowdenbeath on Friday for a special edition of his | :18:41. | :18:44.
big debate on Radio Scotland. And you can find a full list of | :18:45. | :18:47.
candidates in the by-election on the BBC Scotland website. | :18:48. | :18:53.
It has been at the centre of years of argument and disagreement and now | :18:54. | :18:57.
there is to be an independent review of how Scotland's wild fisheries are | :18:58. | :19:00.
managed. The move was announced by the First Minister as he opened the | :19:01. | :19:04.
salmon fishing season on the River Tay. | :19:05. | :19:15.
Counting in this season's salmon counting season. One of the next | :19:16. | :19:22.
generation of anglers. But for generations arguments have raged | :19:23. | :19:34.
between anglers and net 's men -- netsmen. There is a concern with the | :19:35. | :19:43.
early spring component. We say, OK, we will delay the season but it is | :19:44. | :19:49.
clear that later the salmon stocks are more robust. Those who oversees | :19:50. | :19:55.
Scotland's Rivers say netsmen and anglers must both play their part in | :19:56. | :20:01.
protecting salmon stocks. Fish don't care if they are caught by rod or | :20:02. | :20:06.
net. If the fish is killed it is no longer available to spawn. | :20:07. | :20:14.
Monitoring the fishing season, the first minister announced an | :20:15. | :20:18.
independent review of the rules and regulations governing salmon and | :20:19. | :20:22.
freshwater fisheries. I think the review will be widely welcome and | :20:23. | :20:26.
everybody can make their representations and see how we can | :20:27. | :20:28.
take this massively important industry forward. Arguments and | :20:29. | :20:34.
disagreements between the different groups with an interest in | :20:35. | :20:37.
Scotland's fisheries have gone along for years. Ringing them together to | :20:38. | :20:41.
agree a way forward will be something of a challenge. -- ringing | :20:42. | :20:54.
them. -- bringing. Celtic's latest signing, Stephan | :20:55. | :20:57.
Johansen, says he is joining one of the biggest clubs in Europe. The | :20:58. | :21:00.
23-year-old Norwegian player of the year has signed a three and a half | :21:01. | :21:03.
year deal with the Scottish champions. Jonathan Sutherland has | :21:04. | :21:06.
been speaking to him. Meet Norway's next big thing. Six | :21:07. | :21:13.
times capped Stefan Johansson is keen for more success. I am very | :21:14. | :21:19.
happy to be here. It is a fantastic club. I spoke to some of the guys in | :21:20. | :21:26.
the national team and everybody has positive things to say about the | :21:27. | :21:29.
city and they say the fans or unbelievable. Celtic is one of the | :21:30. | :21:34.
biggest clubs in Europe so of course I am happy to be here. Scandinavian | :21:35. | :21:41.
imports, like this television series, are all the rage at the | :21:42. | :21:45.
moment. Johansson is the fourth Norwegian import to the club. The | :21:46. | :21:55.
previous ones enjoyed mixed fortunes. The signing represents a | :21:56. | :22:00.
few things for Celtic. Firstly, he should hit the ground running. By | :22:01. | :22:04.
the time the champions league comes along he should be integrated into | :22:05. | :22:11.
the team. Thirdly, since Celtic's Champions League exit, the receipts | :22:12. | :22:20.
have fallen. It is hoped he will put more bums on seats. I want to pass | :22:21. | :22:30.
and do assists and score goals. Scotland's interim head rugby coach | :22:31. | :22:33.
has named two uncapped players in their training squad for this year's | :22:34. | :22:36.
Six Nations championship. Winger Dougie Fife, who we can see here | :22:37. | :22:39.
training with his Edinburgh team-mates, and Glasgow back row | :22:40. | :22:42.
forward Chris Fusaro are part of a 36 man squad. The aim for Scotland's | :22:43. | :22:48.
six Nations campaign is clear. We are out there to compete. Up | :22:49. | :22:54.
front, that is it. The best days of this squad may come a little later | :22:55. | :22:59.
but that does not mean we do not have a tournament to compete in and | :23:00. | :23:03.
I will be competing in everything we do and I will expect the team to | :23:04. | :23:09.
stand up and compete. Now for everything else that is | :23:10. | :23:13.
happening across Scottish sport. Colin Fleming and his English | :23:14. | :23:17.
partner Ross Hutchins are through to round two of the Australian open | :23:18. | :23:23.
tennis. Hutchins is in remission after battling leukaemia. At the end | :23:24. | :23:30.
of the match I put my arm round him and it hit me a bit what it meant | :23:31. | :23:34.
that we were back to winning ways. St Mirren have signed Greg mild. He | :23:35. | :23:42.
agreed a one and a half year deal after being released by Aberdeen. | :23:43. | :23:48.
Hearts managing director and the director of football have taken | :23:49. | :23:51.
voluntary wage cuts to reduce costs. The club is currently in | :23:52. | :23:56.
administration. Rachel Causey has left Glasgow | :23:57. | :24:01.
city. She has signed a full-time professional contract with Notts | :24:02. | :24:05.
County. Scottish vessels lost the second | :24:06. | :24:11.
part of their double header with the New Zealand firms. The two teams | :24:12. | :24:16.
meet again at the 2014 Commonwealth Games. Obviously we are going to | :24:17. | :24:23.
work and get better so we narrowed the scoreline. | :24:24. | :24:31.

Another wee bit of transfer news. Ross County have signed French | :24:41. | :24:42.
striker Yoann Arquin from Notts County. That is all for now. | :24:43. | :24:53.
Good evening. It was very mild today. 11 degrees in Edinburgh. This | :24:54. | :25:01.
evening we are watching the rain. You can see a band of it working its | :25:02. | :25:05.
way further north and east and it will take its time to clear so this | :25:06. | :25:10.
evening be showery brain slowly eases off. By the end of the night | :25:11. | :25:17.
it is totally dry. By seven o'clock the rain moving northwards and | :25:18. | :25:20.
eastwards, some fairly extensive mist and fog. The rain then becomes | :25:21. | :25:26.
confined to Northern Aberdeenshire and the Northern Isles. | :25:27. | :25:32.
Temperatures, low single digits but somewhat milder along the coast and | :25:33. | :25:37.
the Isles. Tomorrow morning, where ten Wednesday across the north-east | :25:38. | :25:43.
and the Northern Isles. Wet and windy to the west and south-west. On | :25:44. | :25:48.
the whole it is largely dry, fairly cloudy. Some brighter skies here and | :25:49. | :25:52.
there but limited. Over towards East Lothian and sky, largely dry. -- | :25:53. | :26:12.
Skye. Windy for Shetland and there are gales or severe gales for the | :26:13. | :26:17.
next five days possibly. At the moment we have low pressure bringing | :26:18. | :26:21.
unsettled conditions. A number of showers working their way in. The | :26:22. | :26:25.
reason it is so wet and windy in Shetland is that all of these | :26:26. | :26:29.
weather fronts work their way up there and pretty much stops. It will | :26:30. | :26:36.
be very windy indeed. Elsewhere the wind is much lighter and on Friday | :26:37. | :26:41.
one or two light showers, most in the north-east. Saturday, the rain | :26:42. | :26:46.
returns, I'm afraid. Temperatures down a notch but by Sunday it should | :26:47. | :26:52.
be somewhat drier and brighter. Maybe some sunshine as well. | :26:53. | :26:58.
A reminder of tonight's main news. A man accused of murdering his | :26:59. | :27:04.
mother and burying her dismembered body on a hill has told the High | :27:05. | :27:09.
Court in Edinburgh he had nothing to do with her death. James Dunleavy | :27:10. | :27:12.
said he got on fine with his mum, Philomena, but that she would | :27:13. | :27:15.
routinely go missing. The Governor of the Bank of England, | :27:16. | :27:19.
Mark Carney, says he does not back a "crude cap" on bankers' bonuses. It | :27:20. | :27:23.
comes after the Labour leader, Ed Miliband, challenged the government | :27:24. | :27:25.
to intervene if the largely taxpayer-owned RBS offered its staff | :27:26. | :27:28.
bonuses that were greater than an employee's salary. But David Cameron | :27:29. | :27:31.
says he would only veto an overall rise in pay and bonuses. | :27:32. | :27:34.
Scotland's economy is showing signs of growth for the second consecutive | :27:35. | :27:39.
quarter. -- the sixth. It grew by 0.7% from July to September last | :27:40. | :27:42.
year, although the figure is slightly lower than the UK as a | :27:43. | :27:46.
whole. A BBC investigation has found that | :27:47. | :27:48.
British paedophiles are paying to watch the abuse of children in the | :27:49. | :27:52.
Philippines via webcams. In one case a British man organised the sexual | :27:53. | :27:56.
abuse of five children from the same family. Charities believe tens of | :27:57. | :27:59.
thousands of children are victims of the trade. | :28:00. | :28:02.
And that's Reporting Scotland. I'll be back with the headlines at eight | :28:03. | :28:06.
and the late bulletin just after the ten o'clock news. Until then, from | :28:07. | :28:10.
everyone on the team here in Glasgow and around the country, have a very | :28:11. | :28:14.
good evening. Goodbye. | :28:15. | :28:15. |
