Good evening. Environmental campaigners have

published league tables which they say identify Scotland's most

polluted streets. Friends of the Earth Scotland have warned their

research shows air pollution from vehicles is a major threat to

health, even in some smaller towns and villages.

Pope street in the centre of Glasgow is said to have the highest levels

of nitrogen dioxide pollution in Scotland. That is linked to

respiratory diseases. Meanwhile, market street in Aberdeen is claimed

to have the highest levels of matter, tiny particles from vehicle

exhausts are links to a high risk of heart attack. The problem of air

pollution is not confined to our biggest towns and cities. There are

some surprising places in the results. Missing health target in

Crieff, Perthshire, even in small villages in some parts of West

Lothian. Surprising way you can find a problem. The Scottish Government

says pollution levels across the country have been falling. But

accepts that more needs to be done. It is urging motorists to walk or

cycle when travelling short distances.

Politicians have clashed over the voting intentions of young people in

September's referendum. It came as a poll showed a swing towards a yes

vote amongst the young. Including 16 and 17-year-olds in the

electorate was a rational with some question whether they were

responsible enough. Now they have the power, how will they use it?

There are a lot of uncertainties. Because of that, I wouldn't be

voting yes at the moment. For as long as I can run but, I have been

thinking yes. Politicians on both sides are keen to harness their vote

and the shadow Foreign Secretary believes that the younger will opt

Scottish or British. A poll published today suggests a

significant increase in support for independence, especially amongst

young voters. In it, 37% of those questioned said

they would vote yes, a 5% increase since September. 44% said they would

vote no. Among the 16 to 24-year-old age group, 44% said they would vote

yes. 32% plan to vote no. Questions have been raised about the small

number of young people who were questioned. It is more important

issue the trend in these debates. Young people want to see people that

will talk about what Scotland can do, what we can achieve, young

people can see that the no campaign is like one of those teachers that

tells you what you cannot do. 16 to 24-year-olds make up a relatively

small part of the electorate, but it is the youngest voters who will live

longest with the result. Around 300 people have taken part in

an Irish republican parade in the centre of Glasgow to mark the events

of Bloody Sunday. A small counter-demonstration of loyalists

near Glasgow Cathedral. Celtic have extended their unbeaten run to 22

games with a 4-0 win over Hibernian. Kris Commons scored twice

for the champions, thinking him over the 20 goal mark.
