Good evening. There's been further disappointment for Livingston's

Elise Christie at the Winter Olympics in Sochi. Two days after

she was disqualified from a final for causing a collision, the short

track speed skater was penalised for a second time, and denied a place in

the 1500m final. Officials ruled she was a centimetre wide of the

official finish line. The 23-year-old will now pin her medal

hopes on the 1,000 metres next Friday. From Russia, David McDaid.

That is a great confidence booster. After the pain of her 500 metres

final, a winning return to the ice for Elise Christie in her heat. At

least that is what everyone thought until the referee changed the

initial results amid much confusing. Elise Christie has been penalised

again and they have relegated her to last place. What happened? I was

just waiting to watch my team-mate race and then I seen on the board it

said penalty. I had no idea because I haven't spoke to the referee or my

coach. I didn't have physical contact with anyone so I have no

idea what I could have been penalised for. The photo finish to

determine first place revealed something else. Her skate was

actually inside the track when she crossed the line. We are talking

millimetres. It is in the rule book. It is very rarely used because it

not very often happens. She won the race, we are devastated. Some

experts felt Elise Christie could win as many as three medals in these

games, but she has been disqualified from two races. And if that wasn't

bad enough, she had another more disturbing revelation. I have had a

few people threatening me and stuff like that. Just cyber bullying

basically, but it has been a tough few days anyway.

A charity event is being held in Glasgow to raise money for families

affected by the Clutha helicopter crash. It's the first time an

all-day concert has been held at the city's famous Barrowlands. Suzanne

Allan reports. Sound checking for their most

important gig this year. These artists were first up this afternoon

on a bill that features Alabama 3 and ends tonight with Big Country. I

am proud to be here and the Clutha bar was an amazing part of the

Glasgow music scene. In order to celebrate it, and even bigger part

of the music scene, it is amazing. We are both ecstatic. It speaks to

much -- so much to the Glasgow music scene that so many people are coming

for this. This concert is a fundraiser for the people who died

in the crash last year. A report from air accident investigators

published yesterday said the helicopter suffered a double engine

failure. Concert organisers want today to be about looking forward.

All the families that we can get a hold of have been invited and a few

of them are coming. John McGarrigle, who sadly past away, his poetry will

be read out with the blessing of his family. They will be here, and Scott

Penden came on board. Organisers of the concert CD very much wanted to

be seen as a celebration. Poetry will be read out by one of the

victims, written before he died, and there are hundreds of free tickets

available to those in the emergency services who helped out on the night

of the crash. Now football, and Aberdeen stay

second in the SPL table after beating St Mirren this afternoon.

There were also wins for Dundee United, Hibs and Motherwell, while

Inverness Caley Thistle held Hearts to a 0-0 draw. Celtic play St

A nice day to come tomorrow. There was sunshine for summer but today,

but we have kept a fairly steady stream of showers coming into the

north and west. You can see them on the radar picture. Tonight, where

the ground is wet, we will see some issues with frost and ice on

untreated services and we have got yellow be aware warnings in force

from the Met Office, eventually difficult conditions on the road and

underfoot. Overnight, the showers become complained to the far north,

as do the strong winds and elsewhere, winds eased down. It will

be dry with clear spells, allowing temperatures to go down to freezing.

Into tomorrow and a ridge of high pressure builds, so it will be a

cold start, ice risk first thing but a lot of dry, bright weather, plenty

of blues skies and sunshine and much lighter winds.
