Good evening. Relatives of those who died in the Stockline Plastics

explosion have met to mark the tenth anniversary of the tragedy.

Representatives of the emergency services and politicians attended a

service near the site of the tragedy in Glasgow which killed nine people

died and injured 30. Remembering together, never

forgetting that terrible day ten years ago. All that now remains of

the factory site is a memorial garden established by and for the

local community. A massive explosion caused by a build-up of liquid

propane gas destroyed the factory killing nine people who worked

there. 30 were injured by collapsed masonry, many trapped for several

hours. The relatives of those killed find solace in the memorial garden.

leading quarry whose recommendations would lead to improvements in

industrial practice to prevent another tragedy. Recommendations

followed up by sheriffs would help to provide that confidence in the

system. The public enquiry ordered the inspection of other factories

where LPG was being used and for practices to be improved in many of

them. The families say that is one of the major legacies of the

disaster here ten years ago. The First Minister, Alex Salmond,

has offered to meet Ukrainians in Scotland following the row over his

qualified praise for the Russian President. Mr Salmond has replied to

a letter from a Ukrainian community leader who called on him to

apologise. Here's our political correspondent, Glenn Campbell.

In an interview for GQ magazine, First Minister said it was a good

thing that Vladimir Putin had restored Russian pride. That angered

Ukrainians in Scotland because of Russia's set -- Russia's accent --

annexation. He said he disapproved of a number of Russian policies. In

his letter to the Ukrainian community leader, he said some of

his remarks had been reported out of context and is not offer an apology

for them. It was described as a tardy explanation that has decided

to take up the First Minister's offer to meet Ukrainians in

Scotland. The Church of Scotland is planning

to hold a service of reconciliation three days after the independence

referendum. The Kirk wants leading figures from both Yes Scotland and

Better Together to attend to encourage people to work together,

whatever the outcome. The danger is that if we don't keep

the level of this debate down to a respectful place where we listen to

one another carefully, where we don't try to score points by

name-calling, where the language doesn't get too emotive and it

sticks with substance, then the business of healing will be a lot

easier afterwards. A couple who won ?160 million on the Euromillions

lottery have given a further two and a half million to the

pro-independence Yes Scotland campaign in the past year.

Chris and Colin Weir each donated 1.25 million after a ?1 million

donation the year before. Football now and Celtic lifted the

Premiership trophy after beating Dundee United 3-1. Elsewhere, a late

winner from Motherwell snatched second place from Aberdeen. The

Commonwealth Baton has arrived back in the British Isles.

It's been all around the world and touched down in Jersey this

afternoon. The baton arrives in Scotland on June 14th. This is where

the action is this evening. Crowds have been gathering here in Jersey

for celebrations and to welcome Tom Daley, the first Batten bearer on

the British Isles. -- first baton bearer. It has been on an epic

journey, 70 nations of the Commonwealth will be covered by the

time it gets back to Scotland next month. It is going to be spending a

couple of days here where a series of events are planned before going

on to Guernsey and it will tour the rest of the home nations. It will

arrive back in Scotland on June 14. Now for the weather.

Showers are continuing across the country this evening. One or two of

them are fairly potent, especially across Glasgow and the south-west.

The showers around Glasgow by persistent. Temperatures down to

three Celsius. Monday, dawn is fairly cloudy. Further north, it is

a dry start with some sunny spells and light showers developing through

the afternoon. Temperatures around 13 Celsius. By Tuesday, it is far

better. It is generally dry and bright. There is one or two light
