A body has been recovered by rescue teams after a man fell

:00:14.:00:17.

There were reports last night that a man,

:00:18.:00:21.

thought to be a fisherman in his mid-60s, had gone into the water.

:00:22.:00:24.

Divers from police Scotland recovered the body at around 1pm

:00:25.:00:37.

this afternoon. It was brought ashore by rescue boat just over half

:00:38.:00:43.

an hour later. The alarm was raised last night when a man thought to be

:00:44.:00:47.

in his late 60s fell into the water on the eastern side of Loch Lomond.

:00:48.:00:52.

The recovery operation involving all of the emergency services resumed

:00:53.:00:57.

this morning. The great Scottish swim which was taking place at Luss

:00:58.:01:01.

on the other side of the Lough went ahead as planned. Police say they

:01:02.:01:06.

are now trying to identify the body and the thank all members of the

:01:07.:01:10.

public and all of the agencies who took part in the search. Emergency

:01:11.:01:17.

services say this has been a tragedy but there is some satisfaction that

:01:18.:01:20.

at least by working together they have recovered the man's body so

:01:21.:01:23.

family and friends can mourn him properly.

:01:24.:01:24.

The future of the National Health Service has dominated

:01:25.:01:26.

Deputy First Minister Nicola Sturgeon was in Glasgow arguing that

:01:27.:01:30.

a Yes vote was needed to protect the NHS from Westminster cuts.

:01:31.:01:33.

Meanwhile, in Edinburgh, former First Minister Jack McConnell,

:01:34.:01:35.

argued that a No vote would give Scotland the best of both worlds.

:01:36.:01:46.

Since 1999 the Scottish Parliament and Scottish format have had full

:01:47.:01:50.

control over Scotland's health service. We brought in the smoking

:01:51.:01:55.

ban and have had a different direction in delivery of services.

:01:56.:02:00.

Even in a we have made different decisions in Scotland because we

:02:01.:02:04.

have had the power to do so. It is not true that the health service is

:02:05.:02:09.

threatened. At the moment our budget is set by Westminster and over the

:02:10.:02:12.

past few years that budget has been cut. George Osborne plans another

:02:13.:02:18.

?25 billion worth of cuts and that is before we take into account

:02:19.:02:21.

privatisation of the health service in England which everyone knows is

:02:22.:02:25.

about the Tories cutting public funding for the health service.

:02:26.:02:27.

A service of dedication is under way in Shetland this evening to mark

:02:28.:02:30.

the first anniversary of a helicopter crash off the islands.

:02:31.:02:32.

Four people died when the Super Puma crashed into the sea on

:02:33.:02:35.

A new plaque, dedicated to the victims

:02:36.:02:38.

of the tragedy, is being unveiled at the Sumburgh memorial, which

:02:39.:02:41.

honours all those who've lost their lives in aircraft incidents around

:02:42.:02:43.

It is only right that people remember those who were lost and

:02:44.:02:57.

there are families who meant the many difficult times. We have added

:02:58.:03:02.

the plank to the memorial area and hopefully in years to come people

:03:03.:03:06.

will find this to be an area of comfort.

:03:07.:03:06.

Football, and in the Premiership, Inverness stay at the top

:03:07.:03:09.

of the table, after a home win against Celtic.

:03:10.:03:11.

Nir Bitton curled an effort onto the Inverness crossbar

:03:12.:03:13.

But Owen O'Connell's unfortunate own goal inflicted Celtic's first

:03:14.:03:16.

Here are the Premiership results in full.

:03:17.:03:23.

Inverness are a full point ahead of Hamilton at the top of the table,

:03:24.:03:27.

And here are all the Scores from the Championship.

:03:28.:03:33.

Hearts move to the top of the second tier.

:03:34.:03:35.

Their Edinburgh rivals Hibs lost to Falkirk at home.

:03:36.:03:40.

Comedian John Kearns, who was named best newcomer

:03:41.:03:42.

at last year's Edinburgh Fringe has won the Foster's Comedy award for

:03:43.:03:45.

Last year, Londoner Kearns said he planned to

:03:46.:03:49.

give up his day job as a tour guide at the Houses of Parliament.

:03:50.:03:58.

Time for the weather outlook for tonight and tomorrow.

:03:59.:04:08.

Bright and breezy is how we end the day today, we will see showers

:04:09.:04:14.

gradually start to fade and it will look like a dry night, some long and

:04:15.:04:19.

clear spells as well. That means a chilly night to, as well. A chilly

:04:20.:04:27.

night as temperatures dipped to five or 6 degrees, and even as low as two

:04:28.:04:31.

or three degrees in some parts of the Highland clans and along the

:04:32.:04:35.

borders, too. For tomorrow we see high pressure in charge and that

:04:36.:04:38.

means things will stay fairly settled for much of the day

:04:39.:04:42.

tomorrow. It start of chilly but will be a bright morning, the

:04:43.:04:45.

sunshine spread across many parts of the country with more in the country

:04:46.:04:48.

with more indie we climbed in the afternoon but for most of us ate dry

:04:49.:04:52.

day with fewer showers and temperatures peaking at around 16

:04:53.:04:53.

degrees. Our next update is tomorrow

:04:54.:04:55.

lunchtime during Until then, from everyone here,

:04:56.:04:57.

enjoy It has been a familiar story again

:04:58.:05:18.

today, pleasant in the sunshine but certainly a chill in the air and

:05:19.:05:21.

tonight will be unusually cold for this time of year. There will be

:05:22.:05:25.

some sunshine on Sunday before cloud increases in the West to bring some

:05:26.:05:30.

rain around on Monday. Still showers at the moment,

:05:31.:05:31.
