Weeks of travel disruption - the Forth Road Bridge will be | :00:00. | :00:08.
closed until the new year, as engineers work to repair | :00:09. | :00:10.
11-mile tailbacks at the Kincardine Bridge this morning | :00:11. | :00:18.
and more pain for commuters on both road and rail tonight. | :00:19. | :00:30.
It is just a pity that some of idiots could not have thought of the | :00:31. | :00:38.
need for extra carriages on the trains. It is a nightmare. Really | :00:39. | :00:43.
long, cramped, not very enjoyable. and a year before it's replaced, we | :00:44. | :00:46.
look at a bridge built for a programme: A fall in the number | :00:47. | :00:51.
of drink drivers a year on And trouble in the dressing room | :00:52. | :00:58.
at Celtic - manager Ronnie Deila says Anthony | :00:59. | :01:00.
Stokes was suspended for more than The Forth Road Bridge is to be | :01:01. | :01:03.
closed to all traffic until at least the new year, | :01:04. | :01:25.
after inspections found a crack The closure began at midnight last | :01:26. | :01:27.
night and has led to severe disruption elsewhere, as motorists | :01:28. | :01:32.
tried to find alternative routes. The Transport Minister says | :01:33. | :01:37.
the decision was not taken lightly and measures are being put | :01:38. | :01:40.
in place to lessen the impact. In a moment we'll hear from our | :01:41. | :01:44.
reporters at the Kincardine Bridge, which is on the diversion route, and | :01:45. | :01:49.
at the Forth Road Bridge itself. But first this report from Steven | :01:50. | :01:53.
Godden on the day's developments. This should have been rush-hour. | :01:54. | :02:07.
Instead, the carriageways were empty and the Forth Road Bridge was eerily | :02:08. | :02:12.
quiet. The electronic signs carrying a short message with huge | :02:13. | :02:17.
implications. Drivers jostled for space on alternative routes. The | :02:18. | :02:22.
tailback to the Kincardine Bridge reached 11 miles at one stage. It | :02:23. | :02:27.
took an extra hour because of the road closures and the bridge being | :02:28. | :02:31.
closed. They closed Kincardine Bridge as well which made it worse. | :02:32. | :02:36.
We needed to go five or six miles to get here. The question was how long | :02:37. | :02:41.
would it last, and the answer came mid morning, with the transport | :02:42. | :02:46.
Minister confirming a three-week closure necessary to fix cracked | :02:47. | :02:51.
steelwork. The work will take us between Christmas and the New Year | :02:52. | :02:54.
and the assumption is that the bridge would be open by New Year. I | :02:55. | :02:59.
appreciate the disruption and inconvenience that will cause but | :03:00. | :03:03.
safety has to be paramount for the travelling public and those working | :03:04. | :03:08.
on the bridge. This image shows the 20 millimetre crack in the steel | :03:09. | :03:11.
frame, beneath the southbound carriageway. By yesterday | :03:12. | :03:17.
afternoon, after two days of assessment, the worst fears were | :03:18. | :03:21.
confirmed. We were not concerned about it falling down but we were | :03:22. | :03:24.
concerned that this component would have failed and resulted in an | :03:25. | :03:29.
immediate split in the bridge deck, so the only real decision we had to | :03:30. | :03:34.
make was to make the recommendation the bridge was closed. To reach | :03:35. | :03:38.
Edinburgh from Fife, that means an inland diversion, adding around 30 | :03:39. | :03:45.
miles onto the journey. With the bridge off limits, other forms of | :03:46. | :03:49.
transport will need to take the strain. The idea of a ferry has been | :03:50. | :03:54.
floated, but the Railway offers the most realistic alternative. ScotRail | :03:55. | :04:00.
say repeating today's effort to add extra carriages will be challenging. | :04:01. | :04:08.
Commuters face a long three weeks. There should be more carriages on. I | :04:09. | :04:15.
travel every day. Today is the first time I struggled a lot. Even with | :04:16. | :04:21.
two extra carriages, they should at least build up some more carriages | :04:22. | :04:27.
so people can travel back and forth. In the morning, just crowded. | :04:28. | :04:32.
Alarming, too, for businesses, with goods and customers to transport in | :04:33. | :04:37.
the run-up to Christmas. There is always a rush to get deliveries done | :04:38. | :04:41.
for Christmas. If you speak to any tradesperson they will say that | :04:42. | :04:45.
their customers always ask if they can get it done for Christmas. There | :04:46. | :04:49.
is always a big rush in the run-up to Christmas. They will be badly | :04:50. | :04:54.
affected. The aim is to have the barriers lifted by the New Year, but | :04:55. | :04:58.
tonight's high wind underlines the fragile nature of a timetable that | :04:59. | :05:00.
will be under the utmost scrutiny. The scale of the problem facing the | :05:01. | :05:04.
engineers is best seen from the air. Aileen Clarke flew over the bridge | :05:05. | :05:07.
by helicopter and saw how difficult The view of the famous Forth Road | :05:08. | :05:24.
Bridge from above, but this is a view you will never have seen | :05:25. | :05:28.
before. Not one car travelling across the road bridge. Over the | :05:29. | :05:32.
decades it has coped with everything other than the strongest of storms, | :05:33. | :05:36.
but today it stands idle and still and empty. On a normal day, 70,000 | :05:37. | :05:43.
cars, buses and lorries would cross that bridge, but this is far from a | :05:44. | :05:48.
normal day. The only vehicles on that bridge today are those that | :05:49. | :05:50.
have been taken on by engineers that bridge today are those that | :05:51. | :05:54.
trying to fix this problem. This morning, engineers were on the | :05:55. | :05:57.
bridge assessing the damage which has been discovered. The | :05:58. | :06:01.
bridge assessing the damage which been found in steel under the North | :06:02. | :06:04.
Tower but all of the steelwork is being examined for signs of stress. | :06:05. | :06:08.
It is difficult to work in challenging conditions, and shortly | :06:09. | :06:11.
after we saw these engineers carrying out checks beneath the | :06:12. | :06:15.
other tower, all of the team had to leave the bridge Jew to | :06:16. | :06:20.
deteriorating weather. The train has been an option for some commuters | :06:21. | :06:25.
today but with few spare carriages to bolster them, even ScotRail | :06:26. | :06:28.
wearing ker-ching people not to travel. On the other side of the | :06:29. | :06:32.
road bridge, the new Queensferry bridge is taking shape but it | :06:33. | :06:35.
road bridge, the new Queensferry not be taking the strain for another | :06:36. | :06:39.
year yet. We are told this is the first time that a main bridge in | :06:40. | :06:44.
Scotland has been completely closed because of a structural problem. But | :06:45. | :06:48.
Scotland has been completely closed that will be little consolation to | :06:49. | :06:51.
commuters and businesses worried about how this closure will affect | :06:52. | :06:54.
them up to Christmas and into the New | :06:55. | :06:59.
The Forth Road Bridge is more than 50 years old and in recent | :07:00. | :07:02.
As we've heard a new crossing is being built but | :07:03. | :07:06.
David Henderson has been assessing whether today's news was inevitable | :07:07. | :07:10.
for a bridge designed for a different era. | :07:11. | :07:18.
It is half a century since this bridge was built to link Fife with | :07:19. | :07:27.
the Lothians. At the time, this was a cutting edge design with a span of | :07:28. | :07:29.
more a cutting edge design with a span of | :07:30. | :07:34.
been a victim of its own success. Back then, traffic was light, but | :07:35. | :07:39.
over the years more Scots took to the roads. The bridge now carries | :07:40. | :07:42.
about 24 million vehicles every year. Far more than it | :07:43. | :07:47.
about 24 million vehicles every for. And now, there are signs of | :07:48. | :07:49.
wear and tear. It was for. And now, there are signs of | :07:50. | :07:55.
longest suspension bridges in the world when it was built. Certainly, | :07:56. | :08:00.
the volume of traffic and the weight of the vehicles using it is much | :08:01. | :08:02.
greater than would have been anticipated that in the days when it | :08:03. | :08:08.
was designed. It is not the first time the bridge has needed major | :08:09. | :08:13.
repairs. In recent years, the main cables had to be fixed after they | :08:14. | :08:17.
were weakened with corrosion. But this latest problem is more serious. | :08:18. | :08:22.
A structural fault below the North Tower, with a crack in the steelwork | :08:23. | :08:28.
some 20 millimetres wide. Without the emergency repairs now underway, | :08:29. | :08:32.
the problem could have spread. The first sign probably would have been | :08:33. | :08:37.
that the deck would just drop at one corner when it came against the | :08:38. | :08:43.
tower. The load would be transferred to the links that had not failed, | :08:44. | :08:47.
and all traffic would stop immediately. Soon, a new bridge will | :08:48. | :08:54.
help to spread the load. The Queensferry Crossing is due to open | :08:55. | :09:00.
at some point next year. And when that new crossing comes into | :09:01. | :09:04.
operation it could mean much lighter duties for the Forth Road Bridge, | :09:05. | :09:07.
like a limit on the number of cars allowed to cross each day, all like | :09:08. | :09:12.
this much more modest structure in Glasgow, limiting much of its | :09:13. | :09:13.
traffic to just buses. In a moment we'll be speaking to our | :09:14. | :09:17.
reporter at the Forth Road Bridge. But first to Andrew Black, | :09:18. | :09:20.
who's at the Kincardine Bridge on How busy has it been tonight, | :09:21. | :09:23.
Andrew? If you take a look behind me, you | :09:24. | :09:40.
will probably be able to see traffic snaking its way across the | :09:41. | :09:43.
Clackmannanshire Bridge, one of the alternative routes try those have | :09:44. | :09:48.
been using today to get across. This whole area has been a traffic pinch | :09:49. | :09:53.
point today. It is also the part of the world where motorists have been | :09:54. | :09:56.
trying to get onto the Kincardine Bridge as well. You probably saw the | :09:57. | :10:01.
tailbacks this morning. Police have been in the area all day looking at | :10:02. | :10:04.
traffic management, changing the plans as things have been changing | :10:05. | :10:09.
throughout the day, and they are still here this evening to keep an | :10:10. | :10:14.
ion things. Definitely until there are more permanent plans put in | :10:15. | :10:18.
place, it is fair to say that if you are a motorist in this part of the | :10:19. | :10:22.
world you are probably going to experience a lot of misery in days | :10:23. | :10:27.
to come. Let's go to the Forth Road Bridge, where Lisa Summers is in the | :10:28. | :10:30.
control room. This is transport Scotland's control | :10:31. | :10:40.
centre for the whole of Scotland, from where they will keep an eye on | :10:41. | :10:43.
developments on the Forth Road Bridge over the next few weeks. If | :10:44. | :10:49.
we look at the big screen Jew can see Clackmannanshire Bridge, and | :10:50. | :10:54.
Kincardine Bridge. You can still see traffic snaking across | :10:55. | :10:57.
Clackmannanshire Bridge. Next that, you can see the Forth Road Bridge | :10:58. | :11:04.
absolutely deserted. On the live camera, you can see the scene | :11:05. | :11:08.
outside tonight. We have the lights on the towers of the Forth Road | :11:09. | :11:12.
Bridge, and just to the left, the lights of the new crossing. It is | :11:13. | :11:16.
absolutely deserted. We will have to get used to that for three weeks, as | :11:17. | :11:21.
only emergency vehicles and engineers will be allowed to cross. | :11:22. | :11:26.
Hopefully, in terms of the transport, things will calm down | :11:27. | :11:31.
over the weekend. There are bad weather warnings as well, so that | :11:32. | :11:35.
should help to keep traffic off the road. But the next critical point | :11:36. | :11:36.
will come on Monday morning. Lisa Summers at the Forth Road | :11:37. | :11:39.
Bridge and Andrew Black at the You're watching Reporting Scotland | :11:40. | :11:42.
from the BBC. Still to come | :11:43. | :11:45.
on tonight's programme: Judy Murray's controversial plan for | :11:46. | :11:46.
a development on green belt land We're in Belfast with | :11:47. | :11:49.
Edinburgh Rugby the day And we'll hear from the Celtic | :11:50. | :11:56.
manager on why he suspended one And you'll find out what happened | :11:57. | :12:01.
next at the The number of drink-driving offences | :12:02. | :12:05.
in Scotland has fallen since the Government lowered | :12:06. | :12:18.
the legal limit a year ago, But some people say they'd still | :12:19. | :12:20.
drive themselves home One continuous breath until it | :12:21. | :12:39.
clicks. Convincing drivers not to drink before they get behind the | :12:40. | :12:42.
wheel has been a challenge for police for years. Our police | :12:43. | :12:51.
Scotland winning the fight? We saw a 12.5% reduction in drink and drive | :12:52. | :12:55.
detections, which is really encouraging. Speaking to friends and | :12:56. | :13:00.
colleagues, everybody knows there is a lower drink-driving limit in | :13:01. | :13:04.
Scotland. The safety message about drink-driving is starting to be | :13:05. | :13:09.
driven home. An online survey has shown that 82% of people thought | :13:10. | :13:12.
drinking anyhow cold before driving was wrong. But one in 20 say they | :13:13. | :13:17.
would still drive themselves home after a night out thinking, a figure | :13:18. | :13:22.
the government wants to crack. We are moving in the right direction | :13:23. | :13:26.
but we want to continue to build on that, to get the message across to | :13:27. | :13:30.
those who persist in thinking they can drink and drive, to get the | :13:31. | :13:33.
message to them that it will not be tolerated and there will be robust | :13:34. | :13:37.
enforcement measures being taken over coming weeks and months. Our | :13:38. | :13:42.
attitude is really changing? That cannot happen any more because we | :13:43. | :13:48.
all live in the country and if we lost our licence that would be it. | :13:49. | :13:53.
But there are probably more general things, that habits have changed and | :13:54. | :13:58.
we have to change with them. But there are concerns that those | :13:59. | :14:01.
changing habits are draining pub profits. We have seen a much lower | :14:02. | :14:07.
trade of older, retired people who would drive out to the country, have | :14:08. | :14:14.
a half of beer, a glass of wine and drive home after lunch. A lot of | :14:15. | :14:19.
them have stopped coming. The message is clear, police Scotland | :14:20. | :14:22.
will be on the road this Christmas looking out for unsafe drivers. For | :14:23. | :14:27.
anyone thinking of knocking back a pint or spirit before getting into | :14:28. | :14:30.
the car, perhaps settle for something softer instead. | :14:31. | :14:33.

The former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has made | :15:02. | :15:05.
a last-minute plea to councillors to back controversial plans to | :15:06. | :15:09.
build tennis facilities and luxury homes on green belt land between | :15:10. | :15:11.
The development is being promoted by Judy Murray, in the face | :15:12. | :15:15.
Our environment correspondent David Miller has this exclusive report. | :15:16. | :15:27.
Judy Murray wants to see this land transformed, providing new sports | :15:28. | :15:35.
facilities for future generations of young Scots. The development on | :15:36. | :15:39.
green belt land between dumb Blaine and Bridge of Allan would include | :15:40. | :15:45.
tennis courts, golf and football facilities, all set in a new country | :15:46. | :15:49.
park. New luxury homes would be needed to help pay for it. But these | :15:50. | :15:55.
are anxious times for the woman behind the scheme, who wants to | :15:56. | :15:59.
create a sporting legacy for her two sons. Great Britain have done it in | :16:00. | :16:05.
the most spectacular sons. Great Britain have done it in | :16:06. | :16:11.
Murray! We will have a starter golf course to the right. For Judy | :16:12. | :16:17.
Murray, this is shaping up to be another nail-biting finish. | :16:18. | :16:21.
Murray, this is shaping up to be officials recommend the plans are | :16:22. | :16:23.
rejected at a crucial meeting next Tuesday. For us as a family | :16:24. | :16:30.
rejected at a crucial meeting next about legacy of what Jamie and Andy | :16:31. | :16:34.
have achieved. None more so than what they achieved at the weekend, | :16:35. | :16:39.
two brothers from a small town in Scotland with no track record in | :16:40. | :16:44.
tennis, taking on the world and winning. For ma'am it is not | :16:45. | :16:48.
necessarily about creating the next Andy Murray, but giving kids in the | :16:49. | :16:54.
area an opportunity to play tennis, even if they don't like tennis, | :16:55. | :16:59.
there will be a 6 hole golf course, a football pitch. In his plea to | :17:00. | :17:03.
councillors, Sir Alex says... But campaigners opposed to the plans | :17:04. | :17:20.
say the loss of valuable green belt is too high a price to pay. This is | :17:21. | :17:25.
a hugely important piece of green belt are both communities of bridge | :17:26. | :17:34.
and -- Bridge of Allan and Dunblane. We have had objection to development | :17:35. | :17:39.
as opposed to letters of support. Luxury housing is not what we need. | :17:40. | :17:44.
It will just make private profit out of what is at the moment a resource | :17:45. | :17:50.
for all of us. Not long now until we learn which side has emerged | :17:51. | :17:52.
victorious in this contest. A look at other stories from across | :17:53. | :17:55.
the country. A memorial to infants at the heart | :17:56. | :18:07.
of the Mortonhall baby Ashes scandal has been opened in Edinburgh. The | :18:08. | :18:12.
memorial garden sits on the grounds of the crematorium and includes | :18:13. | :18:18.
Blacks inscribed with the names of 149 babies. Another memorial is | :18:19. | :18:22.
proposed in Princes Street Gardens. We have been through different | :18:23. | :18:26.
emotions and some parents still do not know how they feel about the | :18:27. | :18:31.
garden or if they want their baby's name there, but for me I feel it has | :18:32. | :18:37.
given me comfort. And somewhere for us to come and remain with my | :18:38. | :18:42.
daughter. Changes could be made to the controversial ways school | :18:43. | :18:47.

Tata Steel plants now that the 45 day minimum consultation with | :19:10. | :19:13.
workers has been reached. The Indian firm announced plans to close | :19:14. | :19:19.
Scotland's last two steel plants in October, threatening 400 jobs. | :19:20. | :19:25.
Plans to build a 67 turbine wind farm near Fort Augustus have been | :19:26. | :19:30.
overturned after judicial review. A judge said the Scottish | :19:31. | :19:36.
Government's decision to approve SSE's wind farm was defective. A | :19:37. | :19:40.
conservation charity challenge the decision, saying the development | :19:41. | :19:45.
would destroy the character of the area. SSE say they are disappointed. | :19:46. | :19:50.
It is difficult to be delighted. We never thought building 67 huge | :19:51. | :19:56.
industrial scale developments in a wildlife area should have come | :19:57. | :19:57.
forward. The Celtic manager Ronny Deila says | :19:58. | :20:03.

stand in Inverness. He has become a bit part player at Celtic this | :20:31. | :20:33.
season and the frustration of being left out again was too much for the | :20:34. | :20:36.
striker. He tweeted... A subsequent apology did not placate | :20:37. | :20:51.
Ronny Deila, as Stokes was banned for two weeks. I think everybody | :20:52. | :20:56.
understands it is not about that single coincidence, there have been | :20:57. | :21:00.
issues in the past. We felt we had to put down a marker. Stokes was | :21:01. | :21:05.
started once this season and was disciplined previously by Ronny | :21:06. | :21:10.
Deila. This is what sets his case apart from Chris Coleman's, for | :21:11. | :21:17.
instance. Is there an issue over lack of respect? I feel I have | :21:18. | :21:21.
complete respect from players and that is no issue. I said before | :21:22. | :21:29.
there have not been issues, then that is a group that does not care | :21:30. | :21:33.
and that is the worst thing. These players care and want to achieve | :21:34. | :21:36.
things with the team and individually. So, can Anthony Stokes | :21:37. | :21:47.
re-establish himself as a key member of the Celtic squad? I think he is | :21:48. | :21:52.
good enough to do a job for Celtic and can score goals and I was | :21:53. | :21:56.
surprised he has not been seen and now this has happened and he has | :21:57. | :21:59.
been suspended for two weeks you would think it would be hard to find | :22:00. | :22:04.
a way back into the first-team. Ronny Deila said Stokes can have a | :22:05. | :22:08.
future here but only they will determine how that lasts. | :22:09. | :22:10.
Edinburgh Rugby's head coach has extended his contract with | :22:11. | :22:13.
Alan Solomons is now signed up till the summer of 2017. | :22:14. | :22:17.
The South African is in Belfast for Edinburgh's match | :22:18. | :22:20.
And our rugby presenter Dougie Vipond joins us. | :22:21. | :22:35.
The weather in Belfast is challenging. Chucking it down here. | :22:36. | :22:42.
Andy Nichol the former Scotland captain is with me. Let's talk about | :22:43. | :22:47.
Solomons and the extension to the contract. It is important because it | :22:48. | :22:53.
gives continuity. The players know who the coach will be for next | :22:54. | :22:57.
season as well. There are a lot of players out of contract and that is | :22:58. | :23:02.
the next job for the MD, to get players contracted now they know | :23:03. | :23:05.
which coach they will have. A good win last week, and a bonus point win | :23:06. | :23:12.
at home. Tonight in Belfast the conditions are tough and it will | :23:13. | :23:15.
have an impact on the game? Massively. This is a filthy night | :23:16. | :23:20.
for rug recover with swirling winds, very wet. The pitch is very firm. A | :23:21. | :23:26.
horrible for rug be. The forwards will have to do everything -- for | :23:27. | :23:35.
rugby. What do you think will be key tonight from the Edinburgh point of | :23:36. | :23:40.
view? Possession. Maybe not having possession but having good defence. | :23:41. | :23:47.
The wind is flying down. If you are a winger tonight you will not see | :23:48. | :23:50.
much of the ball because it is so difficult. We are going to put our | :23:51. | :23:55.
hoods up. You can enjoy yourself in the warmth of the studio! | :23:56. | :23:58.
And you can watch Ulster versus Edinburgh tonight live on BBC Two | :23:59. | :24:01.
Or listen with the Radio Scotland Sportsound team - | :24:02. | :24:04.
The sailing partner of Scots Olympian Luke Patience has | :24:05. | :24:12.
Patience, a London 2012 silver medallist, and | :24:13. | :24:18.
Elliott Willis were among the first named in Team GB for Rio 2016. | :24:19. | :24:24.
The impact on their campaign for Rio will be | :24:25. | :24:26.
assessed in due course depending on the treatment recommended | :24:27. | :24:33.
There will be no Scots in the quarter-finals of the | :24:34. | :24:37.
The last man standing John Higgins losing a thrilling match 6-5 to | :24:38. | :24:40.
They were both upstaged by a moth. | :24:41. | :24:43.
That was its biggest mistake. | :24:44. | :24:46.
Although it did evade the grasp | :24:47. | :24:47.
Alas he got it | :24:48. | :24:58.
at the second attempt and for the moth it was game over. | :24:59. | :25:03.
Chris, the weather. You might not want to listen to what | :25:04. | :25:11.
is coming. Pretty grim. Wet and windy weather on the way over the | :25:12. | :25:17.
next 24, 36 hours, courtesy of Desmond, our fourth named storm. You | :25:18. | :25:21.
can see the trailing weather fronts and tightly packed isobars. The rain | :25:22. | :25:31.
is across the country and it will continue to reign for the next 24 | :25:32. | :25:35.
hours nonstop at least. We have a warning from the Met Office for the | :25:36. | :25:40.
strength of the wind. Even inland up to 60 mph at times. A difficult | :25:41. | :25:48.
night with surface water spray. In the north-west, the wind will ease | :25:49. | :25:53.
down. Tomorrow it remains windy, but rainfall is the highest concern with | :25:54. | :25:59.
an amber be prepared warning from the Met Office for the Borders and | :26:00. | :26:04.
over to Strathclyde, Perthshire. Likely to see flooding as a result | :26:05. | :26:09.
of that persistent rain falling on already sodden ground. River | :26:10. | :26:15.
flooding and surface water flooding make difficult conditions on the | :26:16. | :26:22.
road. As we head through to the middle part of the afternoon, it is | :26:23. | :26:28.
wet and windy. At least it is mild. You can see the black arrows | :26:29. | :26:35.
indicating the wind, still 50 mph at times. Some shelter from the | :26:36. | :26:41.
Cairngorms, but that is the exception to the rule. Wet and windy | :26:42. | :26:45.
and the rain continues to fall. Across the Northwest, it will be | :26:46. | :26:53.
cooler than the rest of the country. Continuing on Saturday night when we | :26:54. | :26:58.
could see gusts up to 70 mph in parts. The rain will continue to | :26:59. | :27:02.
fall as we head through to the early hours of Sunday. But then, | :27:03. | :27:09.
thankfully, it stops. Showers across the north-west but for many, Sunday | :27:10. | :27:14.
is a better day. We will still feel the effect of the rainfall because | :27:15. | :27:19.
as the water runs into the rivers, we could still see flooding. The dry | :27:20. | :27:23.
interviewed does not last. We have low pressure on Monday. It means | :27:24. | :27:29.
more rain, wind and more warnings. There we have it. Monday, rain | :27:30. | :27:35.
working northwards. Likely to be further issues. | :27:36. | :27:43.
Now, a reminder of tonight's main news, the Forth | :27:44. | :27:45.
Road Bridge is to be closed to all traffic until at least the New Year, | :27:46. | :27:49.
after inspections found a crack in part of the steelwork. | :27:50. | :27:56.
I'll be back with the headlines at 8. | :27:57. | :27:59.
The late bulletin just after the Ten O'clock News. | :28:00. | :28:01.
Until then, from everyone on the team the | :28:02. | :28:04. |
