Detectives and forensic experts have been searching at an Edinburgh golf

course after human remains were found.

Police were called to nearby Gogar Mount House last Saturday

It is understood body parts have now been found

So far police won't say if this is a murder inquiry.

Almost a week since human remains were found here, yet on this a frost

covered golf course, police continued to work. It is not as a

caretaker here raised the alarm after discovering a skull on the

grounds. The 19th century grounds is close to the airport. Other body

parts were found on the edge of the golf course. The club say they know

little of what has happened. We closed the top field. Other than

that, we are just doing but the police tell us. The golfers played

on as police continued with their investigation. We were told we could

not use the top half of the course. The part that is near the main road.

We were told not to go there at all. Forensic teams were here earlier in

the week, but behind me is not a forensic tent, but where police are

carrying on with their investigation. I am told today that

divers are going into the periphery of the golf course. So far, police

will not say if this is a murder investigation, and they will not

comment on the remains or how long they have been here. Reconstruction

efforts led to a murder investigation over an unsolved

mystery in the spring of 2013. By this afternoon, the police were gone

and the golf was fully opened. There has been speculation about the

remains, but police say any update could take until the end of next

week. One week ago, the residents

of Port Elphinstone in Aberdeenshire were recovering from a night

of flooding, after the River Don burst its banks and raged

through their homes. Now they've begun the long process

of returning their water sodden Our reporter John McManus has been

back to speak to some of them. This is what Port Elphinstone faced

one week ago. Water, unstoppable, crashing through that town, families

fleeing their homes with what ever they could take, and by any means

possible. What a difference a week makes. The washer is gone, and over

the last week, people have been coming back into their homes to

assess the damage to their goods and property. The clean-up and

refurbishment is also underway, but that is a process that is going to

take a long time. Nobody will be staying here tonight. There fled

damaged possessions thrown out, the interiors gutted. The floodwater

sped past the front of this house, but did act up at the rear. By ten

o'clock, 11 o'clock, when it burst its banks, that is when it started

to come down the road and come in here. You can see the level it

reached. The community have rallied around, donating materials and food

to the British lesion centre. Giving to someone in need is what we are

hearing, and that is strange, because it is them that are in need.

We have givers instead of takers. We're asking them to take this time

so that they get back on their feet they can give later. Here, at a

business park, the -- is a business park... There was a collapse. We

just think that excess water came in. It has been a tough seven days

for people in Port Elphinstone and many other towns across North East

Scotland. They are hoping that they flood defenses that we have seen

behind me on the River Don will help another week from hell from

Ministers have confirmed plans for a high-speed rail link

It follows a rash of such incidents, which have led to calls for clubs

to be held responsible for the actions of their fans.

carried out by a small minority. So far, 66 people have been arrested in

incidents like these, but so far, the season, pyrotechnics have been

thrown, some involving one then -- more than one missile. As a Celtic

under way at a previous cup match, where a number of players were set

off. Some supporters are concerned about this growing trend. It is only

one, two or three at most that any football game, and it probably takes

that amount of people to bring the flares along and causes the month of

disruption when you have tens of thousands of people at a game, but

it is inevitably small, not as big as it is elsewhere, but is still a

new and unwelcome issue in Scotland the ball. One solution that is being

discussed by the football authorities could be for clubs to

face sanctions if their fans misbehave. If fans or -- of teams

have points deducted, I think self-regulation will look after the

club and make sure that supporters do not behave badly if it affects

their team. But this idea of strict liability have had a lukewarm

response from the clubs themselves. Football now and Celtic moved six

forecast. I think the word cold sums things up! Yes, many would have seen

sunshine today but his clear skies by day, by night mean it's will be

very cold indeed, and is still a few wintry showers around. There is a be

aware warning in force for some icy patches. Still a few wintry showers

be below freezing for most but largely dry away from the North East

head through Saturday. Starting sunny on Sunday, but it could behave

yet times. South of the border, plenty of sunshine to the heart of

England, but temperature wise, on the low side for us here in

Scotland, and you will notice this weather front, which will bring some

rain and snow on Saturday evening and perhaps a few centimetres right

down to low levels. If we pull out, we can see the wintry weather

stretching all the way down towards the Midlands, perhaps as far as

Oxfordshire. A wintry night comes Saturday. Sunday, high pressure

across the near content and weather fronts trying to arrive, but

probably another... Wintry at times and still quite chilly, but

temperature wise, around six agrees if we are lucky in the far
