Police investigating the murder of Aberdeenshire handyman

Brian McKanide say they're following new lines of inquiry.

The 67-year-old was found beaten to death in his home

Brian McKanide was violently attacked with a heavy weapon. His

body was discovered on March 12 at his home. In the past few days

police have been asking people in the area for more information and on

Friday evening officers from the murder enquiry team stopped cars and

asked drivers to fill in questionnaires. As a result they

have new information, but they are still keen to trace two men seen

with Mr McKanide the day before he died. They are now preparing a

leaflet drop the nearby homes asking if residents saw anything

suspicious. Police have released CCTV images

of three men they believe may be able to help with inquiries

into a serious assault in Glasgow A 26-year-old man was seriously

injured in an attack near the Cathouse nightclub

predators gone, it's now hoped sea birds can be in courage to breed
