A nurse dies, after she was hit by a car being chased | :01:15. | :01:18.
The family of a nurse who died when she was hit by a car | :01:19. | :01:24.
being chased by police have described her as a loving mother. | :01:25. | :01:27.
33 year old Jill Pirrie was killed last night, | :01:28. | :01:29.
as she walked home from work at Edinburgh Royal Infirmary. | :01:30. | :01:31.
Police have detained three men in connection with the incident, | :01:32. | :01:34.
Our reporter Cameron Buttle is at the scene for us tonight. | :01:35. | :01:39.
This is the A7 heading into Edinburgh, you can see the Royal | :01:40. | :01:48.
Infirmary in the distance, Joe Perry had just finished her shift as a | :01:49. | :01:52.
nurse. When she got to Kingston Avenue she was hit by a car. You can | :01:53. | :01:57.
see the severity of the impact on the lamp post. The road was closed | :01:58. | :02:01.
overnight and in fact only opened a short time ago but you can already | :02:02. | :02:07.
see floral tributes being laid here. She was treated by paramedics last | :02:08. | :02:11.
night at the scene but was then taken back down to Edinburgh Royal | :02:12. | :02:14.
Infirmary where she was pronounced dead a short time later. A loving | :02:15. | :02:20.
mother, daughter, partner and friend, her family said she will be | :02:21. | :02:25.
hugely missed by the many who knew her. She had only walked a few | :02:26. | :02:29.
hundred yards home after her shift as a nurse when she was hit by a | :02:30. | :02:34.
car, it was being a student with a police car with a siren. Floral | :02:35. | :02:39.
tributes called her an angel, colleagues at Edinburgh Royal in | :02:40. | :02:46.
infirmary are said to be shocked and saddened by her death. She was | :02:47. | :02:50.
described as talented and well liked. The scene was one of | :02:51. | :02:54.
intensive investigation trying to establish the chain of events that | :02:55. | :02:58.
led to the crash at 8pm last night. There was a great car with two boys | :02:59. | :03:05.
lying outside the car and she was right next to it. And the medics | :03:06. | :03:14.
were trying to revive her, three of them. The boys were lying on the | :03:15. | :03:20.
floor and bleeding. The car was right smashed up against the wall. | :03:21. | :03:24.
There were reports that people were running from the incident last | :03:25. | :03:28.
night, teams of officers have been carrying out searches through the | :03:29. | :03:32.
streets next to the main road and in back gardens and wooded areas. The | :03:33. | :03:36.
police investigations and review commission confirmed it has been | :03:37. | :03:41.
asked by the Crown Office to carry out an investigation. Standard | :03:42. | :03:43.
procedure in a serious incident like this. Policing experts have been at | :03:44. | :03:49.
the scene today and their report will be handed to the Crown Office | :03:50. | :03:53.
who will decide what if any action will be taken. The night police are | :03:54. | :03:58.
still appealing for witnesses and they confirmed a short time ago that | :03:59. | :04:04.
four men have been detained. A final thought from the family come in | :04:05. | :04:08.
their statement they add, no words can express the void that has been | :04:09. | :04:11.
left as a result of this tragedy. Many thanks for that. | :04:12. | :04:18.
A Commonwealth Games medallist from the Highlands is in a coma - | :04:19. | :04:21.
with life threatening injuries - after a motorbike | :04:22. | :04:23.
27 year old Stephanie Ingalls won silver in Judo, at the | :04:24. | :04:28.
She suffered severe brain injuries, when she came off the bike. | :04:29. | :04:32.
A packed trophy cabinet to prove if needed just what a competitor | :04:33. | :04:44.
Stephanie Ingles is. From the age of five she has been competing. Her | :04:45. | :04:49.
crowning glory was her silver medal at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow | :04:50. | :04:53.
two years ago but now her toughest fight after falling from a motorbike | :04:54. | :04:57.
taxi in Vietnam where she has been teaching English. It is very common, | :04:58. | :05:01.
there are bikes everywhere, she was wearing a long skirt and part of it | :05:02. | :05:10.
at the back came loose and wrapped around the tire. It dragged her off. | :05:11. | :05:17.
Two years ago Stephanie was over the moon carrying the Commonwealth but | :05:18. | :05:27.
through Inverness. I made team Scotland and I competed on the very | :05:28. | :05:32.
first day of the games. Stephanie had travel insurance but the car she | :05:33. | :05:36.
extended her state the firm said it was no longer valid so a friend and | :05:37. | :05:41.
fellow judo champion set up a fundraising website which has topped | :05:42. | :05:46.
?100,000. People have been reaching out to me from across the country, | :05:47. | :05:51.
just wishing is the best. People from school are donating and I have | :05:52. | :05:54.
seen all of these names coming through the funding website. | :05:55. | :06:02.
Everyone she has ever met is donating towards her. For two | :06:03. | :06:07.
decades the 27-year-old competed in judo, fighting her way to the top | :06:08. | :06:11.
through local, national and World Championships. Her character is very | :06:12. | :06:15.
much at odds with the power and aggression demanded by the sport. | :06:16. | :06:19.
Stephanie is one of the cleanest people I have ever met, I know for a | :06:20. | :06:23.
fact that if anyone she knew was in this position she would be on the | :06:24. | :06:26.
edge of her seat wanting to know what was going on and would be the | :06:27. | :06:28.
first to donate money. She would be reaching out to their | :06:29. | :06:42.
families, that is the person she She would be reaching out to their | :06:43. | :06:46.
was. Her parents are at her bedside in Hanoi and her family are praying | :06:47. | :06:48.
she will pull through. She has had many knocks and bumps through the | :06:49. | :06:51.
sport she has done, this is only... I know she will come | :06:52. | :06:53.
sport she has done, this is only... She is fighting. We all are. We are | :06:54. | :06:55.
supporting her. Craig Anderson, Reporting Scotland. | :06:56. | :06:57.
Thousands of school pupils have signed an online petition, | :06:58. | :06:59.
to complain about yesterday's National Five Maths exam. | :07:00. | :07:01.
It comes just a year after students across the country also complained | :07:02. | :07:04.
that the Higher Maths exam was too difficult. | :07:05. | :07:06.
That led to the Scottish Qualifications Authority | :07:07. | :07:08.
Pupils may have had difficulty with maps yesterday but they clearly have | :07:09. | :07:22.
no difficulty with the written word, by lunchtime today a petition | :07:23. | :07:29.
complaining about the national Five maths test had attracted many | :07:30. | :07:33.
signatures with some pupils explaining concerns. A secondary | :07:34. | :07:36.
pupil from Glasgow is one of those who added his name to the petition | :07:37. | :07:40.
saying that it was paper one which you did not use a calculator for | :07:41. | :07:44.
that was the problem. There was one question that I could not... I had | :07:45. | :07:49.
no clue. I could not remember doing it on the course and I did not know | :07:50. | :07:54.
how to do it. That was the main problem. The first one was the | :07:55. | :08:00.
non-calculator paper, and at one point I just assumed it was | :08:01. | :08:03.
calculator because there was a question that looked as though you | :08:04. | :08:06.
would need a calculator so I had to check that. It just showed how hard | :08:07. | :08:11.
it was. On Twitter many peoples told me they have the same experience,... | :08:12. | :08:31.
Best of luck and you can start now. Last year there was a barrage of | :08:32. | :08:40.
complaints about the higher maths paper and the SQA reflected is | :08:41. | :08:43.
difficulty by changing the pass mark but they say that yesterday's paper | :08:44. | :08:47.
was fair assuming that pupils had been entered at the correct level. | :08:48. | :08:51.
Rees is now studying his physics exam, he can only hope that this | :08:52. | :09:00.
will be reflected in the standard of the questions. Let's get more on | :09:01. | :09:05.
this from Jamie McIvor. If this maths exam does prove to be too | :09:06. | :09:08.
difficult, how much of a problem will it be for the exams body? It | :09:09. | :09:15.
has the potential to become hugely damaging. First of all it is worth | :09:16. | :09:19.
stressing this, a social media outcry does not necessarily mean | :09:20. | :09:25.
that there was a problem with the exam, they include a range of | :09:26. | :09:29.
questions of different difficulties and we will only know if the paper | :09:30. | :09:33.
was too hard in August. If it was much too hard we will see a | :09:34. | :09:37.
significant reduction in the pass mark and a reduction in the marks | :09:38. | :09:40.
needed for different grades. That is what we saw with the higher maths | :09:41. | :09:45.
last year. If the same thing happens with the National five maths this | :09:46. | :09:48.
year, then that suggests a bigger problem. Cutting the pass mark may | :09:49. | :09:54.
reassure candidates but big cuts aren't really meant to happen, are | :09:55. | :09:58.
they? Indeed and it would undermine the confidence in the SQA after the | :09:59. | :10:03.
problems last year, the SQA had to win back the confidence of teachers | :10:04. | :10:08.
and this year there were claims that a relatively inexperienced team was | :10:09. | :10:11.
responsible for last year's problems. If the National five turns | :10:12. | :10:16.
out to have been misjudged there will be big questions about the | :10:17. | :10:19.
quality control process about why an exam paper may not have been in | :10:20. | :10:24.
keeping with what teachers and candidates expected. On the other | :10:25. | :10:27.
hand the question could also be whether some schools are putting | :10:28. | :10:31.
children forward for the National five in maths who are not really | :10:32. | :10:37.
capable of that. That is a question worth asking. National five is like | :10:38. | :10:40.
a credit and standard grade or a good pass in an O-level and these | :10:41. | :10:46.
papers are not meant to be easy. Many thanks for that. Still to come | :10:47. | :10:51.
on the programme... A year after many brand-new MPs | :10:52. | :10:55.
were elected to Westminster, we catch up with some of them to see | :10:56. | :10:57.
how they've fared. Tonight's sport is from | :10:58. | :11:02.
Falkirk - and from Rome. I'll be looking ahead to tonight's | :11:03. | :11:04.
big promotion play off tie And we'll see how Andy Murray got | :11:05. | :11:07.
on in the Italian Open tennis. The Liam Feeney murder trial has | :11:08. | :11:30.
found that phones were used to search on the Internet whether a | :11:31. | :11:34.
person can die from a broken bone. Rachel and Naomi three deny | :11:35. | :11:41.
murdering Liam in March 2014 and blaming his death on another child. | :11:42. | :11:46.
The prosecution case has now closed. The couple are accused of murdering | :11:47. | :11:52.
Rachel's two-year-old son Liam on March the 22nd, 2014 and falsely | :11:53. | :11:57.
blaming his death on another child. They are also accused of harming two | :11:58. | :12:01.
other children. The last prosecution witness was a crime analyst with | :12:02. | :12:07.
police Scotland who compiled phone data taken from their mobile phones | :12:08. | :12:10.
and recorded entries read to the jury show a chain of Internet | :12:11. | :12:16.
searches beginning on March 17. Naomi's phone is used to search | :12:17. | :12:21.
broken leg, hip fracture, mottled skin and two days later... | :12:22. | :12:32.
On the same day Rachel Parish' phone was used to Google... -- 'S. Her | :12:33. | :12:48.
phone was used to search can wives go to prison together and if you go | :12:49. | :12:53.
to jail who pays the bills? The prosecution case is now closed and | :12:54. | :12:57.
the trial is expected to resume on Tuesday. They deny the charges | :12:58. | :13:03.
against them. The trial at the High Court in Livingston continues. | :13:04. | :13:04.
An investigation's been launched into three deaths | :13:05. | :13:06.
over a two year period, at a pyschiatric hospital in Perth. | :13:07. | :13:11.
It's understood the deaths were all suicides. | :13:12. | :13:12.
The procurator fiscal is investigating the circumstances | :13:13. | :13:14.
surrounding the deaths, at the Murray Royal Hospital | :13:15. | :13:16.
Now, it's a year since Scotland's current batch of MPs was elected. | :13:17. | :13:33.
The SNP landslide meant the vast majority were new to Parliament - | :13:34. | :13:36.
Our Westminster correspondent Nick Eardley has caught up | :13:37. | :13:40.
with a couple of them, after a busy 12 months. | :13:41. | :13:45.
After the celebrations of an electoral landslide, it was down to | :13:46. | :13:51.
the hard work of being MPs. Food banks are not part of the | :13:52. | :13:59.
welfare state. They are a symbol that the welfare state is failing. | :14:00. | :14:04.
Hanna-Barbera lays one of those who entered Parliament a year ago and | :14:05. | :14:09.
she thinks the new intake of SNP MPs have earned respect. At a place like | :14:10. | :14:16.
Westminster where the SNP went from having 6-15 new members coming | :14:17. | :14:19.
through the doors, we were an unknown quantity but I certainly | :14:20. | :14:24.
think we now command respect across all of the parties in the House of | :14:25. | :14:28.
Commons. Another MP celebrating a year in the House of Commons says | :14:29. | :14:32.
the new MPs from Scotland are getting used to Westminster. But | :14:33. | :14:35.
they still want to change elements that they think are out of date. We | :14:36. | :14:39.
have come in here understanding there are ways that exist that we | :14:40. | :14:43.
have to respect as it stands, but that is not to say we can't campaign | :14:44. | :14:51.
for progress and change. At busy 12 months. The SNP played a crucial | :14:52. | :14:53.
role in some government defeats. Got in a bit of trouble. APPLAUSE | :14:54. | :15:01.
The convention that we do not clap in this chamber is very, very, very | :15:02. | :15:06.
long established. And widely respected. It also saw two of its | :15:07. | :15:12.
group Michele Thomson and Natalie McGarry leaving the party amid | :15:13. | :15:17.
police investigations. What you learn from these things is how much | :15:18. | :15:23.
scrutiny you are under, and that is certainly something I learned early | :15:24. | :15:28.
doors. At least four more to go. It is like there will be more | :15:29. | :15:31.
challenges and lessons down the line. | :15:32. | :15:35.
A look now at other stories from across the country... | :15:36. | :15:39.
A woman whose son was found dead at an Inverness flat has been jailed | :15:40. | :15:44.
for ten months the neglecting the boy. Clyde Campbell, who was two, | :15:45. | :15:48.
died in his bed two years ago. Inverness Sheriff Court heard the | :15:49. | :15:53.
cause was cut death. 30-year-old Amanda Hardy from East Kilbride | :15:54. | :15:57.
pleaded guilty to neglect and exposing him to unnecessary | :15:58. | :16:02.
suffering. The funeral has taken place of an Aberdeenshire oil worker | :16:03. | :16:05.
who was among 13 people killed in a helicopter crash in Norway. | :16:06. | :16:11.
41-year-old Ian Stewart from Laurencekirk was on board the Airbus | :16:12. | :16:15.
Super Puma when it crashed near Bergen at the end of April. | :16:16. | :16:20.
Police say a body has been found in the Glenn Loovens area of the | :16:21. | :16:23.
Cairngorms. They have informed the family of 61-year-old James | :16:24. | :16:26.
Robinson, a hill walker who went missing in March. His belongings | :16:27. | :16:33.
were found near the estate. Aberdeen City Council has launched a | :16:34. | :16:36.
month-long consultation on whether to build a new crossing over the | :16:37. | :16:40.
River Dee. The proposals include a new dual lane bridge with extra | :16:41. | :16:46.
lanes for cyclists and pedestrians. The council says congestion around | :16:47. | :16:52.
the must be tackled. We have a situation where at peak times, we | :16:53. | :16:56.
have congestion building up in and around the area. We have other | :16:57. | :16:59.
challenges associated with heavy goods vehicles and other cars having | :17:00. | :17:04.
to do talk quite significantly around to avoid the area. The result | :17:05. | :17:08.
of that and problem with that is that they are going through | :17:09. | :17:12.
residential streets and areas, and the community surrounding the areas. | :17:13. | :17:18.
What is thought to be the third oldest University boat race in the | :17:19. | :17:21.
world is due to take place on the River Clyde in the centre of | :17:22. | :17:25.
Glasgow. Teams from Glasgow and Edinburgh will race each other in | :17:26. | :17:32.
the event next week. As an achievement in our boat currently, | :17:33. | :17:35.
we have five beginners, so one year ago, those guys had never picked up | :17:36. | :17:39.
on all, so it will be a massive, massive achievement for us to beat | :17:40. | :17:44.
the Edinburgh boat this year, it is a very experienced boat, we are | :17:45. | :17:48.
gunning for a different can, it is a huge achievement for us. | :17:49. | :17:50.
Now sport, and David is out and about. | :17:51. | :17:59.
Yes it's a Friday night in Falkirk for me - and over eight | :18:00. | :18:06.
Because it's the second leg of the Premiership promotion | :18:07. | :18:09.
It is delicately poised at two goals all from the first leg at Easter | :18:10. | :18:20.
Road in midweek, so who will prevail? Let's ask a man who has | :18:21. | :18:26.
played for both clubs, Liam Craig from Saint Johnstone. You might have | :18:27. | :18:32.
to shout a little. Who do you fancy to win this match tonight and go | :18:33. | :18:36.
through to the final against Kilmarnock? I think it is probably | :18:37. | :18:41.
too close to call after what happened at Easter Road. I could see | :18:42. | :18:45.
extra time and penalties because that is how close these two teams | :18:46. | :18:48.
have been all season. They have a real quality in attack, and they | :18:49. | :18:56.
will have any chances. There is a real rivalry between these two clubs | :18:57. | :19:01.
over recent years. Is that down to how tight it has been in the | :19:02. | :19:06.
championship? I think it probably dates back to the semifinal of the | :19:07. | :19:11.
Scottish cup last year. There are players on both teams that have | :19:12. | :19:19.
played very other side as well. It was all added to the game tonight. | :19:20. | :19:23.
It finish level on points at the championship. They have played five | :19:24. | :19:27.
times this season, and for the matches have been draws, the only | :19:28. | :19:31.
when was the Hibs here at Falkirk Stadium back in October. That just | :19:32. | :19:35.
shows how inept and tuck it really is. Yes, and Falkirk were unhappy | :19:36. | :19:41.
with the penalty that Hibs got to win the game. So again, I think that | :19:42. | :19:46.
is added to what is going to be a great game tonight. Is it fair to | :19:47. | :19:53.
say that Hibs apps have the edge in terms of flair and Falkirk in terms | :19:54. | :19:59.
of greater determination? I think that is unfair to Falkirk. They have | :20:00. | :20:03.
shown how good they are, and Hibs have another good game coming up. | :20:04. | :20:10.
Both Weeks know that this legal be hard next year with Dundee United | :20:11. | :20:15.
and Dunfermline going into it. Who do you want to win? That is a | :20:16. | :20:19.
difficult one to answer. I have close ties with Hibs, and my wife | :20:20. | :20:23.
still works at Falkirk, so we will see what happens on penalties later. | :20:24. | :20:26.
Thank you very much indeed. Enjoy the match. | :20:27. | :20:29.
And there's live coverage of tonight's big match on BBC radio | :20:30. | :20:32.
Time for a bit of tennis this evening. | :20:33. | :20:43.
Andy Murray is through to the last four of the Italian Open. | :20:44. | :20:49.
He'll play qualifier Luka Pui of France tomorrow | :20:50. | :20:51.
Murray beat Belguim's David Goffin in straight sets | :20:52. | :20:54.
It couldn't have started much worse for Andy Murray. Broken to love in | :20:55. | :21:04.
the first game by David Goffin, a head spinning start, but Murray | :21:05. | :21:08.
would come roaring back, winning the next six games to clinch the first | :21:09. | :21:15.
set in a dominant display. In the second set, another early Goffin | :21:16. | :21:27.
break. Unlike the first set, a few problems. To make amends, Murray | :21:28. | :21:36.
immediately broke back, only for Goffin to serve again, much to his | :21:37. | :21:43.
frustration. Eventually, Murray's superiority would tell. Next up for | :21:44. | :21:52.
the Scots, a surprise opponent in French Lucas Pouile. If I had known | :21:53. | :21:58.
Liam's wife worked here, I would have interviewed her as well! That's | :21:59. | :22:00.
your sport. have interviewed her as well! That's | :22:01. | :22:03.
Thank you for that. A historic Japanese garden, | :22:04. | :22:05.
destroyed by vandals 50 years ago will reopen later this year, | :22:06. | :22:08.
after a major project to restore it. The garden at Cowden Castle | :22:09. | :22:10.
in Clackmannanshire was created in the 1900s by a Scots explorer, | :22:11. | :22:12.
and by Japan's first S a little piece of Japan on a | :22:13. | :22:32.
Scottish hillside. All the more surprising when you consider this | :22:33. | :22:35.
was just a muddy field until 18 months ago. This structure of time | :22:36. | :22:42.
sitting on now has been entirely constructed out of wood and bamboo, | :22:43. | :22:45.
and you can see that the ceiling has got bamboo channels, there is no | :22:46. | :22:50.
metal anywhere. This has all been made to Japanese principles, and it | :22:51. | :22:53.
was completed about six months ago, and then we have the welcome gate | :22:54. | :22:58.
down there. The garden was commissioned by Sarah's great-aunt, | :22:59. | :23:03.
Ella Christie. Its creator was Japan's first female garden | :23:04. | :23:06.
designer. But the garden was destroyed by vandals in the 1960s. | :23:07. | :23:12.
Now volunteers from around the world are determined to restore it. | :23:13. | :23:22.
TRANSLATION: When we first visited to do the survey, it was covered | :23:23. | :23:30.
with overgrown plants and trees. We started to dig to find the evidence | :23:31. | :23:38.
of the garden. And we found what little evidences there was of a | :23:39. | :23:41.
beautiful Japanese garden, perhaps the most dutiful garden at the time. | :23:42. | :23:47.
With close to ?1 million to raise, there is still much to be done, but | :23:48. | :23:51.
there has been huge support. I get ten or 20 e-mails a day of people | :23:52. | :23:56.
from all over the world who are desperate to come and see it because | :23:57. | :24:00.
of its significance, because of the fact it was designed by a female | :24:01. | :24:03.
Japanese gardener, and it was recognised as the best in the | :24:04. | :24:06.
Western world in the early days, before it was vandalised. If they | :24:07. | :24:10.
raise the remaining funds, the hope is this place will open in | :24:11. | :24:13.
September, the first time the public have been in in 60 years, and they | :24:14. | :24:17.
hope that it will attract visitors not just from a cross Scotland but | :24:18. | :24:20.
across the world. Let's see if we'll have weather | :24:21. | :24:24.
for getting out in the garden - It doesn't look too bad, but nothing | :24:25. | :24:36.
like the high temperatures we have had this week. Many of us have been | :24:37. | :24:41.
rummaging around for the summer wardrobe, but it will be all change, | :24:42. | :24:45.
much cooler conditions, and you can see the cloud sinking southwards. | :24:46. | :24:50.
Brightening up behind it, as captured by one of our weather | :24:51. | :24:53.
watchers. Those clear skies mean it will be rather chilly, perhaps a | :24:54. | :25:00.
little cloud up towards the Northern Isles and parts of Grampian. For | :25:01. | :25:05.
most, a dry, clear, cold night. Temperatures in towns and cities low | :25:06. | :25:08.
single digits, touch of frost in the countryside. But through the course | :25:09. | :25:12.
of the weekend, high-pressure very much in charge, and a lot of dry, | :25:13. | :25:16.
settled and sunny weather to come, but not quite warm. So, Saturday | :25:17. | :25:22.
gets off to a sparkling start, but the cloud will tend to build the | :25:23. | :25:25.
central and southern parts as we had through the course of the day. | :25:26. | :25:29.
Further north it should brighten up with the sunshine coming out, but | :25:30. | :25:35.
all told, it is dry. By mid-afternoon, temperatures | :25:36. | :25:38.
mid-teens at best, winds light in the south, so feeling pleasant | :25:39. | :25:40.
enough despite back cloud which will have built up. Further north after a | :25:41. | :25:47.
tidy start, the sun coming up, but perhaps staying little cloudier | :25:48. | :25:50.
towards East Anglia. One or two showers across the east there and | :25:51. | :25:58.
Shetland, too. If you are walking or climbing, Arctic air, fantastic | :25:59. | :26:02.
visibility but it will be called on the summits, extra layers needed, | :26:03. | :26:05.
and the winds coming in from the North. These are the wind speeds in | :26:06. | :26:09.
the morning, they could be gusting to around 40 mph. If you are on the | :26:10. | :26:14.
inshore waters in the south-west, the wind in from the north, slight | :26:15. | :26:18.
seas, good visibility and plenty of sunshine through the morning, but | :26:19. | :26:21.
the cloud buildings are the cause of the afternoon, and in the east, | :26:22. | :26:24.
around the further fourth and Firth of Tay, moderate seas, good | :26:25. | :26:30.
visibility, maybe one or two showers coming in on that northerly. Some | :26:31. | :26:34.
evening sunshine, but then cloud building in the north-west, and a | :26:35. | :26:38.
precursor to Sunday's weather. Around the top of the high, we will | :26:39. | :26:42.
see some weather arriving in the form of a lot more cloud and some | :26:43. | :26:46.
spots of light rain. Mainly to the north and west of the great Glen. | :26:47. | :26:51.
The central belt southwards, it is dry but it will be cloudier, | :26:52. | :26:55.
although that cloud should thin and break at times, temperatures at best | :26:56. | :27:01.
mid-teens. Some sunshine, one or two showers on Monday, Tuesday onwards, | :27:02. | :27:04.
more likely to see rain. That's the forecast. | :27:05. | :27:07.
A reminder of tonight's main news. The family of nurse Jill Pirie had | :27:08. | :27:18.
described her as a loving mother. Police have now traced four men in | :27:19. | :27:22.
connection with the end said it -- incident. | :27:23. | :27:24.
Christine Lagarde, the head of the International Monetary Fund | :27:25. | :27:27.
says leaving the European Union would hit British growth, | :27:28. | :27:29.
Vote leave campaigners say the IMF has been wrong before | :27:30. | :27:32.
about the British economy and is wrong again. | :27:33. | :27:35.
I'll be back with the headlines at eight and the late bulletin just | :27:36. | :27:39.
Until then, from everyone on the team - right | :27:40. | :27:42.
across the country - have a very good evening. | :27:43. | :27:45. |
