-At the Olympic Games,

-Why did Red Bull decide

-to bring the competition here?

-Let's hear from a few locals who are

-very familiar with the Blue Lagoon.

-We take children and adults

-out to teach outdoor activities...

-..like coasteering, climbing,

-archery - all sorts.

-The Blue Lagoon

-was an old slate quarry.

-The slates

-were transported to Porthgain...

-..and were then taken

-to other parts of the country.

-The quarry closed

-but the ruins are still here.

-Unfortunately, a few people

-from the village died...

-..because of typhoid and flooding.

-Everyone had to move

-from the village to look for work.

-After the quarry closed,

-they blew up the rocks...

-..to let the water in.

-Now that the place is so popular

-for outdoor activities...

-..it's great that Red Bull come here

-and put Pembrokeshire on the map.

-We have many more people

-coming to visit the village.

-On the weekend, the place

-will look completely different.

-There will be a lot of people here

-watching the championship.
