Ulster Grand Prix, Part 2 Bikes!

Welcome to Dundrod, home of the world's fastest road-racing circuit.

Coming up on tonight's programme,

action from the final three races of the day,

but already, it's been a blistering MCE Insurance Ulster Grand Prix.

Here's a reminder of the story so far.

And it's go for Ulster Grand Prix 2016 and look at Peter Hickman!

Oh, Peter Hickman! I think that was Michael Dunlop he flew past.

And Hickman leads! Dean Harrison into second,

Dan Kneen's also up there in fourth.

Oh! And he's through!

Where did Hutchinson come from?!

And they are side-by-side.

And Hutchinson goes through.

Oh, big wobble from Hutchinson, as he takes the chequered flag!

Oh!

Cummins just in third place, from Dean Harrison.

What a move from Dan Kneen! He's taken both of them!

But it's Bruce Anstey still out in front.

Neil Kernohan, with a belter of a start.

-Wow! They touched!

-Ooh, they touched!

-They did!

We are on board with Dean Harrison. How tight is it through here?!

Hickman is getting mugged, though.

Hickman is going backwards.

Anstey's having a look at Hutchinson.

-Will he get past?

-Yes, he will!

-Wow!

And here goes Hutchinson.

He is on the right side to make the move and he is through.

What a race! What a result!

Phillip McCallen is alongside me on the grid.

He's one of the most successful riders ever here,

with 14 Ulster Grand Prix wins.

Phillip, some great racing already in Dundrod and more to come.

Yeah, it's been superb. Hutchy is in top form, with two wins,

Bruce Anstey is in top form, with one win. Things haven't went right

for Michael Dunlop yet, so he wants a win,

but this Supersport race is going to be even more exciting.

I think the dark horse in this race could be William Dunlop.

William has a very, very fast 600 Yamaha and he wants a win,

so I think we'd better watch out for William.

Bruce could be hard to beat again.

Bruce wants another win again

and we've got Dan Kneen there, as well.

We've got a few boys that definitely want to win.

OK, let's get to the action and join our commentary team,

Dave Moore and Richard Nichols.

There are a lot of people here who want to win.

William Dunlop is on row two, though.

Ian Hutchinson has already won twice today,

to make it seven in total.

Bruce Anstey, another winner.

This is a busy grid, isn't it?

It is a very busy grid, a grid that has been held,

a slight delay, because of rain at Deer's Leap.

Let's hope everything is dry by the time this one gets away,

but look at those front three rows.

Plenty of potential winners, as Phil McCallen said.

And don't forget, there is a second wave, as well.

They can win on corrected time, though that is pretty unusual here.

It's a bit cooler than it has been, but the rain is holding off.

Watch the lights, get ready for the start.

Who is going to be quickest off the line, when we get going?

Oh, Dean Harrison is looking good!

So, too, Bruce Anstey, Ian Hutchinson...

-but it's Conor Cummins!

-Again!

Another great start from Conor Cummins.

Look at William Dunlop coming up behind Bruce Anstey.

We're looking at Dean Harrison, we've a faceful of Dean Harrison.

That is William Dunlop, is it? Yes, it is!

or just tucked into second place, in behind Ian Hutchinson.

-What are cracker! There's bikes everywhere!

-Look at Hutchy go!

Look at Dunlop. Got a great start, didn't he, from row two?

And Dan Kneen has been in the thick of it all through the racing today,

but Hutchy, again, trying to make an early break.

Plenty of position changes further back, as well.

-Next wave gets away.

-Here we go.

Sorry, Harrison back in fifth place.

This is what it is like coming down the Deer's Leap.

Down and then it starts slowing for Cochranstown.

Unfortunately, William's brother, Michael Dunlop,

is a non-starter for this race.

Oh!

It's too close for 600 racing, that, isn't it?

So, Hutchy from William, with that number 5 behind.

Bruce would like another Supersport win.

It's a rare international road race in Northern Ireland

-that hasn't got a Dunlop name at the top of...

-Oh!

It's got a Dunlop name at the top of the leaderboard now, though,

as William Dunlop, smooth as you like, through on Ian Hutchinson.

and this is William's last chance, isn't it, really?

It is, really, yes. You wouldn't expect him to...

I'm just holding my breath there, as they clip the kerb!

Let's have a look again

from Dean Harrison's perspective, off the front row.

And a good getaway from Conor Cummins.

Here comes Hutchy blasting alongside him, coming through the pack.

Next, you just get a glimpse of Bruce Anstey. There he is.

Bruce Anstey in third, looking for win number two on the day.

Around Dawson's Bend to come, to complete the opening lap.

It will be William Dunlop

whose name will still be on the top of the leaderboard.

It's Hutchinson, then it's Anstey.

Oh, and just a tenth of a second between them.

Cummins in fourth. In...

Here comes Dan Kneen.

Man of the moment, for brave, as far as I'm concerned.

Just tucked up behind Dean Harrison, alongside him, almost, there,

going towards Rock Bends, but not going to happen.

Hutchy has got a point to prove every time he gets on a motorbike

and he is looking like a man who is about to prove it any moment now.

Over Deer's Leap, one of the most iconic parts

of any racetrack around the world

and I include Eau Rouge at Spa and the Corkscrew at Laguna Seca.

It's just as exciting as those!

A slight gap from William Dunlop and, again, you are seeing

the speed of Dunlop's bike in a straight line.

Well, we know it's very fast,

we know that William Dunlop is a 600 expert.

He keeps trying to win on big bikes and break away from that,

but he is so good on these smaller bikes.

Hutchinson looking to gain

and Cummins, also, looking to gain on Anstey.

Harrison is coming up behind Conor Cummins.

Dan Kneen going along, as well.

Dan Kneen still stuck at the tail end of this little group, isn't he?

More or less.

And we are on board with him now, as he has another go at Dean Harrison.

It is difficult to get past, so it's the likes of the Lindsay Hairpin

and the parts of the track where they have to slow

that, sometimes, that's where moves will be made.

It's a train, now, of high-speed 600cc motorcycles.

Looking back from Conor Cummins, at Dean Harrison.

Dan Kneen is the shadow behind him.

Well, Harrison is much closer this time around,

going into the Lindsay Hairpin than they were on the opening lap

and he's going to have a go up the inside of Cummins.

Into the hairpin, I think he's got him!

-He has!

-It's not an easy thing,

-to keep it on the way out, though, is it?

-No, it isn't,

but I think Harrison will make that one stick.

So, William Dunlop is our race leader, still.

So, it was a tenth of a second first time around.

It's two tenths this time,

so Dunlop has only pulled out a tenth on Hutchinson.

In fact, 1.5 seconds covering the top seven

and that is Cummins going through.

And now Dean Harrison wants a piece of the action, as well.

So, Cummins through on Dean Harrison.

Ooh! Hutchinson!

Got him! And what a move!

You don't see many moves there.

This is into Leathemstown.

Hutchy bringing all his short-circuit experience to play

here at the Ulster Grand Prix and it is the kind of place

that you can do that, that rewards it,

like the Alastair Seeleys at the North West chicane,

are really pure invention, aren't they?

But there are a lot of short-circuit moves available

at the Ulster Grand Prix for a rider who is constantly

elbow-to-elbow in the pack, week in, week out.

Hutchinson had great drive out of Leathemstown as well, didn't he?

But William Dunlop, I think, will gain up the ground

that he loses in those positions, because his bike is so fast.

He's lost a little bit

out of the corner, perhaps, has he, to Bruce Anstey?

Is Anstey closer to the back end of William Dunlop's Yamaha than he was?

Oh, this could be Dunlop!

No, not close enough.

-Oh!

-Yes, it is!

-Maybe, I don't think so.

I didn't think it was. You can see him twisting the throttle there,

blipping the twistgrip.

And Bruce Anstey now trying to get through and we are back...

Dan Kneen is going to go past Harrison, is he? No.

Again, this is it, you can gain in certain places on this track,

but you don't actually get the opportunity to go through.

Sometimes, you can just accelerate on the wrong part of the circuit.

From up here, it looks so wide and easy.

And Dunlop is going to make a pass, I think, and stick it.

-He is.

-That's the power of his machine that I've been referring to.

He just has that little bit more oomph than Hutchinson.

So, the power of Dunlop against the guile of Hutchinson,

I would say, in this one.

I was about to say that it's really difficult to pass up here,

and that William Dunlop just did it...

Oh, a bit of movement going on behind them, as well.

This is so manly this course,

-that's all I'm going to say.

-This is a typical 600 race, isn't it?

Especially on the roads.

So, looking back from Cummins, he's defending his line this time.

Harrison won't get through.

They are just on the gas the whole time, the 600s round here.

The Superbikes, you have to treat with respect,

the Superstockers you can be a bit more carefree with,

but these, you can just twist it open and keep her pinned.

Oh, they will still give you a ride, as well, these machines.

They can be quite brutal.

We have seen a little bit of movement in some of the bikes.

Here they come out of Dawson's, to complete this third lap

and start number four. It is still Dunlop from Hutchinson.

-And...

-Dean Harrison again, is this going to happen for him?

I don't think so.

Well, he is doing what we just saw Ian Hutchinson try to do.

Hutchinson is trying to get as close to William Dunlop's rear

as he can, as Dean Harrison takes it to the edge and goes past Dan Kneen.

But Hutchinson is looking to tuck in

behind Dunlop as much as he can as they go onto the straight,

then try and use the slipstream to get past William Dunlop

if he can. But he can't. Dunlop's bike is so fast

that even Hutchinson can't get through.

Anstey having a look, I don't think he'll get past just there,

maybe though there might be

something happening here at Leathemstown.

Dan Kneen close to the back of Dean Harrison.

Hickman's said, "Enough's enough..."

Where's he coming from?!

He's been in seventh place from the start of this race.

He's just taken two positions.

But he might lose one to Harrison now,

but I think he's just had enough of sitting at the back!

Oh, and Hickman having a look over at Dean Harrison.

Oh, and that's close. That is very, very close.

We're just getting our breath back here, as Dean Harrison...

I'm just waiting for Hutchy to...

Yes. ..to do unto William as William has done to him.

And he wants...

I don't know whether he's thinking, "I'll wait and do it on

"the last lap", or if he wants to try and make the break.

I don't think he can make the break.

I think the issue is that none of this lot can get away from

each other, so it's all going to be last lap desperado stuff.

Look at that, Dan Kneen's been shuffled back to seventh now

as well! It is like card shuffling, isn't it?

And all the while, there in third place, Bruce Anstey,

who we haven't seemed to mention much.

Just sitting there. We're riding with him now,

tucked in behind Hutchinson. Hutchinson and Dunlop doing

all the duelling, and Bruce Anstey looks like he's gone along

for the ride, but he is ready and waiting to pounce.

Dean Harrison is riding really well actually. The thing you've got

to remember about these races,

people like the Williams and the Hutchies are riding at their best,

but there are other people here riding at their very best in these

circumstances, in this weather, and they're still not in this race.

This is how tough it is at the front here.

You've really got to be something special to be in this

leading group of six or seven riders.

So then, the Lindsay Hairpin. What will happen this time around?

It doesn't look as if anyone is close enough to fashion a move.

As I say that, Harrison is trying to take on Cummins again,

but he's going to tuck in just behind.

It's all happening at the back, as well.

Kneen, I thought might just lose out, but he's not,

he's staying there, having a look at Hickman.

I think he'll do well to get past Hickman here, though.

Just tucked in alongside him, reading the dials.

So, Ian Hutchinson again,

see how he's trying to get on the back of William Dunlop?

There's no need for him to try a move here.

He wants to get as close to the rear of Dunlop as he can and then

slipstream the move past him onto the Flying Kilo. Here they go.

See how he tucks in? He's following on the same line.

Hutchinson pulling the pin, trying to get past, but he can't,

-that bike of Dunlop's looks just too fast.

-Here comes Bruce!

Bruce Anstey's using the slipstream, Anstey goes into second place.

Hutchinson might be able to fight back at Leathemstown.

Harrison in fifth, Hickman in sixth!

HE LAUGHS

Bruce getting creative now. He knows it's getting to the end

of the race. He'd like to make this a double.

William would like to take the win and make at least one addition

to his trophy cabinet at the Ulster Grand Prix.

Had a quick check and tucked his head right back down behind

the bubble, and he gets flat down on the bike, to make the most

of all that lovely, lovely Yamaha power.

And he's still got Bruce with him. Hutchy close behind.

There's a gap now behind, back to Conor Cummins.

But that could easily close back up again.

We've seen gaps appearing and they all close back up.

But this is, again, another wonderful race

at the Ulster Grand Prix on the Dundrod Circuit.

You can see why necks are craning from every vantage point.

When you ride round the place,

you can't have a bad race on a circuit like this, can you?

And they're all having a brilliant race once again.

Gold medallists to a man, I've got to say.

No spots of rain, either, this time.

There was a little at Deer's Leap. It looks completely bone dry.

Oh, Hutchinson through on Anstey! Hutchinson up into second place.

-He sneaked that past Bruce, didn't he?

-He did.

Brucey won't like that very much.

Oh, and Hutchy is already having a think about Dunlop, isn't he?

Dunlop just looked to bottom out

there, as they went through Joey's Windmill.

They're going up towards Jordan's. Through they go.

Looking back from Conor Cummins,

but it's what's happening in front that we really want to have

a look at, because Hutchy is getting very racy,

Hickman here getting even racier.

Well, there's plenty to look at, isn't there?

Everywhere you look something is going on.

So, Hutchy still behind William Dunlop,

didn't find the space he was looking for,

but he definitely wants to get out in front and clear off again.

Hutchinson's got to try something different, because he knows he can't

get out the slipstream onto the Flying Kilo,

so maybe at the Lindsay Hairpin, something like that, is what

would represent his best chance and then defend his position from there.

He's still in second, behind Dunlop.

Dan Kneen must be really hacked off being where he is,

cos he's ridden out of his skin.

The man to watch though, Hickman, now up to fourth place.

On the move. Can he get involved with the front three now?

-And here is...

-Hutchy.

Again, looking to get on the back of Dunlop, as we said before.

But he won't get past, unless he's going to get such

a good tow that he's propelled past, using the slipstream to full effect.

I'll tell you what, Hutchy thought about that. He really did.

And now he's got the drive out of the corner.

He won't get past, I don't think.

He's probably giving Bruce the tow that helped Bruce slingshot

past him before, and that's exactly what's happening once again.

And back up into second place. Or does he?

-Hutchy ready for it. Got it covered.

-Yes, he has got it covered.

And Hutchinson with plenty of momentum to pull up on to

the rear of Dunlop and he'll be looking for the tow

from Dunlop, as well, as they exit Leathemstown.

Dunlop just seems to leave the brakes,

or certainly, slows a bit later.

Hutchinson's in front of them now as they go towards Leathemstown.

Oh, and he gets it all wrong.

He's off, he's on the grass. What happened there?

-He got that braking very late.

-Maybe he had an issue.

Oh, backmarkers, as well.

I think Dan Kneen may have had some kind of issue there.

Let's have a look back. Looking for a way past.

Yeah, that's not a human mistake,

that's something wrong with his bike.

Well, Dan Kneen off nice and gently at Leathemstown. If you're going

to fall off anywhere round here, that's one of the good places.

Hutchy and Bruce Anstey, meanwhile, are carrying on

like there's no tomorrow.

And Anstey...

Hickman up into third. The man to watch. It would be remarkable

if Peter Hickman stole this one, but he's coming up behind Hutchinson.

He's in a podium place, from being seventh,

which is no bad thing, at all.

Bruce has gone backwards.

Will Bruce Anstey be content with fourth place?

Is he that kind of rider?

Racing Bruce is here this weekend. It's the real one.

He won't like that, at all.

That won't help him.

Just snatched it a little bit on the edge of the Lindsay Hairpin.

I think these boys are getting a little bit ragged now.

Oh, Hutchinson, Hutchinson, Hutchinson!

He's done it. He's done it! Unbelievable.

He did it to Amor six years ago. He's done it to William Dunlop here.

What a shame for Dunlop. It will be Ian Hutchinson.

He's the only rider I've ever seen to pass at Dawson's!

and what a shame for William Dunlop, in second place.

That was superb stuff

from Ian Hutchinson.

That was the move

of the meeting, so far.

No Dunlop winner at the 600 race

here at the Ulster Grand Prix, then.

It's Hutchy. Third of the day.

Talk us through that move late on to clinch it.

I, kind of, knew from first lap that I was strong there,

and watched him every lap into there and thought,

"It's definitely on for me". There was nowhere else I could do it,

cos anywhere I passed him, he'd just pass me down the straight.

We were trying to get past down the start/finish straight,

if I pulled out his slipstream, the 600s are all passing each other

down that straight, but as soon as I pulled out, my bike stopped dead,

so I just kept as close as I could and hoped that no-one else -

Bruce or anyone - got involved on the last lap.

I knew I had to be on his back wheel into the hairpin

to make it work, and the plan came together.

I'm sure William Dunlop would have taken second at the start,

but given the circumstances, I think he'll be disappointed that

Ian Hutchinson is taking the top step of the podium, after another

thrilling Supersport race at Dundrod.

So, another podium for Peter Hickman, who's become one of the

stand-out performers on the roads over the last couple of seasons.

The British Superbikes star picked up a win last year,

at just his second visit to the Ulster Grand Prix,

and already he's become a firm fans' favourite.

Peter, third time here and, judging by last year,

you're starting to feel at home?

-LAUGHING:

-Yeah, the Ulster Grand Prix's been good to me so far.

I had a really good first year,

finished fifth in the Superstock and the Superbike race,

and then, last year, obviously, finished second in the Superstock,

which I should have won, to be fair.

Ohh, it's Hickman from Johnston.

I think that's worked perfectly for Peter Hickman.

That Superstock race was as tight as it gets.

Yeah, really tight,

a lack of experience on my side really lost me the race.

I was leading coming out of the hairpin,

which basically means the race is done,

and I was a bit wide into Quarry bends, which in my head

I seemed to think was the right line and, as I found it, it wasn't!

Let Lee slip up the inside.

Lee Johnston from Peter Hickman.

What a great race to crack off the Ulster Grand Prix.

But you learnt your lesson for the Superbikes.

Exactly that. I learnt my lesson for the Superbike race

later in the day and managed to get a first international road race win.

It's going to be Hickman. Hickman will take the victory.

Is it going to do it to the line? Oh, and Hickman's sideways.

Hickman's got it.

What is it about this place that is special?

Everything about it. The setting, the circuit, the fans.

It's so, so fast. It all flows, I love circuits that flow

and you can link one corner to the next all the time.

That's a really good thing about the Dundrod Circuit.

So, you had good results last year.

how you feeling about this season and your chances?

Yeah, coming here for the first time with a new manufacturer,

Kawasaki, I'm here with GBmoto, and yeah, it's a really good team,

a really good bike. We've been having

a strong British Superbike season

and, yeah, it's going to be different.

It's the first time I've ridden this bike round here.

It's going to be good. I'm really looking forward to it.

Are you the kind of guy that sets yourself targets?

Not really got any sights, as such, for here,

but obviously, I've been on the podium twice, now.

I've had a podium and a win,

so going backwards is failure, isn't it?

And we'll see Peter in the final Superbike race of the day.

Next up it's the Supertwins

and, Phillip, not as fast as the big bikes, but noisy.

They might be noisy, but they're very, very competitive.

This is a pretty even field throughout.

The boys have to ride them so hard -

deep into the corners, hard on the brakes -

just squeezing every little bit of power they can out of them.

How important is it that this class is in the Ulster Grand Prix?

This is a very, very important class,

because it's much more affordable than a Superbike.

It means a lot of people can get onto the grid

that wouldn't normally be able to afford a Superbike.

Still great racing. Let's get to it and join Dave and Richard.

And it's another interesting grid, with Derek McGee on pole position.

Dan Cooper alongside him.

Michael Sweeney and Derek Sheils making up that front row.

Yes, Dan Cooper had that big crash in the North West 200

in this class. He injured his shoulders,

but he says that he's ready to go the distance in this one.

Everybody there is in with a shout, I would say, in this leading group.

You could see a winner off the second wave,

but it's highly unlikely, so we're looking at these three rows

to provide the winner for today.

As we go. Watch the lights and wait for the start.

-Oh! Right up in the air, Derek Sheils.

-Derek Sheils.

Yeah, Derek Sheils, a front wheel, and that's cost him a good start.

He looked to be on the power,

but his front wheel went six foot in the air.

No Ivan Lintin in this one, of course.

He injured himself at Scarborough.

As they come down The Flying Kilo for the first time.

That has cost Derek Sheils. He has gone back.

But James Cowton from row four!

Wow! Dan Cooper into second place,

but James Cowton with a stunner of a start.

There's a bit of swapping going on at the back,

but that was the start of the afternoon, from James Cowton.

Here comes the second wave, with Ben Rea on the pole position.

And away they go.

As I was saying, unlikely to see winner from among that group.

It's up here where we're probably going to see our winner.

We're on board with Dan Cooper now, in second place.

No dream start for our pole man, either,

Derek McGee. Didn't get away as well as he would have wanted.

I'm still astounded that James Cowton...

I mean, you'd think, at speed, as well,

he's managed to work his way through the group

and get to the front from the fourth row of the grid.

Oh, that's Loughlin that's gone through!

I think Derek McGee is suffering a bit,

because he's going backwards instead of forwards.

I'm still astounded at what we just witnessed with Joe Loughton.

He was on the back row of the grid with James Cowton.

And here he goes again, on James Cowton.

Let's have a look at the start, though.

This was the start of the day, wasn't it?

James Cowton just got a blinder off the back row.

Yeah, and he got a nice big bit of road ahead of him.

I thought he may have weaved his way through,

but he managed go up the left-hand side of the track.

And look at the power of his machine, the John Burrows machine.

That's some power, isn't it? Straight to the front.

And now, Loughlin in second place.

He obviously saw James Cowton do that

-and thought, "Oh, I'll have some of that, as well."

-Definitely!

Unbelievable. That move at Cochranstown, though,

to go past Dan Cooper.

Let's see what kind of response Daniel Cooper's got.

-Straight up the inside.

-That's what he's got.

So, I think Loughlin... judging by that,

I think he fancies his chances on the brakes, perhaps.

Oh, he's... He's trying to find a way around.

He is, isn't he? As Daniel Cooper tries to pressure James Cowton.

James Cowton can't believe this.

He'll have started this one on row four along with Joe Loughlin

thinking, "Let's hope I can get in the lead group,"

and here he is, leading. Dan Cooper, this is great to see.

Dan Cooper, the former British 125 champion.

And he is just challenging...

and passing.

Sorry, I closed my eyes for a moment, there.

I did pause for breath.

You've got to do that on Supertwins. There is no backing off, is there?

There isn't.

You've got to drive straight in and hard on the brakes.

-Oh...!

-Like that.

-That's Loughlin again.

What a lunge that was from him.

Boy, oh, boy, he's taking chances.

So, Dan Cooper was first, then second, then first,

then second, then third and...!

Loughlin runs a bit wide,

I think James Cowton will get on the gas better

and find a way past him.

Braving it on the inside. He's taking a bit of a chance.

-Oh, no, no!

-Showing Joe Loughlin the way to do it.

Sorry, Rich. No, I can't believe that's so close!

And Loughlin, again.

I don't know if that is bonhomie or foolish

or amazing riding from Joe Loughlin.

We're on board with Derek McGee,

trying to pick up the pieces,

having began this one in first, on the pole position.

Derek Sheils, meanwhile, has worked his way up into fourth.

So, Derek Sheils is getting in the picture now, as well.

Dan Cooper could be about to lose third place.

Derek McGee about to show us his qualifying form

as he heads back towards the front, perhaps.

Sheils is the man who's making...

Oh, Dan Cooper through on the inside! I breathed in.

He missed him. Ah!

So, then, I could try and give you a race order,

but it will change by the time I get to the end of it.

It is Cowton from Cooper from Sheils, then Loughlin.

And Joe Loughlin's the man to watch.

What will he be like into Leathemstown?

James Cowton just pulling away again

and this is Sheils, perhaps, looking for a move on Cooper.

It's not going to happen. Here comes Loughlin...

-Oh!

-Oh!

Wrong side! No, he's gone the wrong way round.

-He's on the grass.

-Yeah.

-But he's still going.

Oh, and they're not happy.

Derek Sheils not happy there.

-A bit wild, wasn't it?

-Yeah.

He put his hand out and gave him a look to say, "What are you doing?"

I think Joe Loughlin. Well, I don't know if it was a wise move to do,

-but certainly...

He nearly, nearly took out James Cowton.

He obviously... Obviously, he's confident on his brakes,

but those lunges... And they'll unsettle the other riders, as well.

I mean, there's unsettling riders and there's unsettling riders,

-and, you know...

-Absolutely.

-Yeah.

But he's back in, he's tucked in behind.

Right back on the tail end of it, I think.

-Hasn't dampened his enthusiasm, has it?

-No.

But will he have learned his lesson?

Here comes Dan Cooper.

-Trying to draw alongside.

-It's going to happen, it's going to happen...

-It's happened.

-Yeah, he's got the line, hasn't he?

Dan Cooper goes back to the front of the field,

for the time being, anyway.

Loughlin, again, trying to get up through.

Derek McGee, from pole, still in the middle of this pack.

Wants to get back near the front and try and reclaim his first place

that he lost almost as soon as the race started.

James Cowton, though, trying to reclaim the lead

that he lost a couple of seconds back.

-He's going alongside Dan Cooper...

-He's got him.

..and Coops goes back into second place!

These are two riders, don't forget,

that have had big accidents this year.

Dan Cooper at the North West 200, James Cowton at the Isle of Man TT.

James Cowton was a very lucky man at the Isle of Man TT.

Dan Coops as well, I suppose, at the North West.

Both of them racing flat-out.

Derek Sheils could be the man to watch here.

He might just let them sort themselves out and find the gap,

if they leave one, but there's hardly any enough room

to thread the proverbial needle through these two,

when they're this close together.

But Sheils is up there. Here comes Loughlin.

Derek McGee on the outside, keeping well out of his way.

-Ooh!

-Through on the inside of the Lindsay Hairpin he goes.

Loughlin just messed that up, I think,

because of Derek Sheils just ahead of him.

I think maybe he's heeded the advice from Derek Sheils earlier on.

He may well have calmed down a bit

and Derek McGee now trying to get back at it.

Coops leads it and seems to be hanging on to it for the time being.

But it's James Cowton behind him and guess who in third place?!

The very nature of this track, you can see how the bikes -

not just in the Supertwins, but in other classes, as well -

it looks like they are gaining, but they have to shut off,

because they can't get through at the speeds they're going at.

Over the line, side by side, Cowton and Cooper

and here comes Sheils, trying to get the slipstream.

Sheils has been building up to this

-and that wasn't close enough, I don't think.

-It's Cooper.

Cooper's not going to get much of a tow, either.

James Cowton's got this one in the bag, going down to the...

Oh, no - to the bottom of the hill,

where Loughlin is so deep on the brakes every other lap.

He's right behind them now.

-That's Derek Sheils in third place.

-Sheils is definitely...

Oh, I think that's a problem for Loughlin, by the looks of things.

He had his hand up and he may have gone off, there.

Race leader remains James Cowton.

They have done a bit of shuffling behind, I think,

as they stepped out of his way.

I think there'll be one or two quite happy

to see the back of Loughlin!

So, past Adam McLean and on with the chase.

Ooh, McGee trying to make it a four-way fight at the front.

It's a three-way at the moment.

Derek Sheils still on the back of Dan Cooper and James Cowton.

Up towards Ireland's.

They're close together again, this top three.

And Sheils is right in there.

Now, then, we've seen Cooper going past, going up here.

Are we about to see it again?

Cowton knows he's there.

You can hear it and feel it.

See how much space even a small bike like a 650 takes

when it's cranked right over on its side.

It uses up half the width of that road, there,

makes passing really difficult.

Even though it looks simple from up above in the helicopter,

-it really isn't.

-I'll tell you what we have got, Rich,

yet another fantastic race here at Dundrod.

The Supertwins delivering. This is fantastic, isn't it?

The really good thing about this,

and I don't mean this unkindly, is Hutchy can't win this one,

-cos he's cleaning up at the moment.

-Yes!

It'll be nice to see a different person on top of the podium,

just for a bit of variety.

This is Michael Sweeney with a little bit of a problem,

-which is a shame for him.

-Yes, he was on the front row, wasn't he?

He was.

And he's now parked it.

-How nice would it be to see James Cowton take this win?

-Or Dan Cooper.

Derek Sheils is looking to take Dan Cooper.

He's taken him... Or has he?

He's looking to go down between the pair of them.

Oh, great try from Derek Sheils.

They disappeared behind the bushes!

There's nothing between them.

I think Sheils is just edging it, as they go downhill.

Cowton is away and up the front, but... Yes, it is Sheils through.

Yeah, at the left-hand side, going into the turn.

James Cowton will be unaware of what's going on.

I think he'll be best not to know what's going on behind him.

But Derek Sheils, great from him.

What kind of response will we get from Dan Cooper?

Well, here it is.

-Straight away.

-Amazing,

he's got such good drive out of the turn there.

So, that says a lot, perhaps, about his machine,

prepared by him and his dad.

Just a small outfit for Daniel Cooper.

A family-run team.

Derek McGee on the back end of that little group.

Cowton is actually making the break, now.

I think Sheils and Dan Cooper are actually slowing themselves down

while they do this.

-That was very firm, wasn't it?

-Yes, it was.

James Cowton, though, still out in front.

A little bit of a gap, perhaps.

Maybe this will work in his favour,

all the squabbling that's going on behind,

but it is bunching back up,

with Paul Jordan on the tail end of this little group of six riders.

They do sound a bit agricultural. I am...

I know what everybody says

when they say there's no comparison between the noise they make

and the noise a 250 two-stroke delivers,

-but, on the other hand, the racing's so good, isn't it?

-It is.

It's just as exciting as 250 and there's Derek Sheils to prove it.

Yes, Derek Sheils goes through into second place on Dan Cooper.

I was going to suggest that Dan Cooper, again,

would get past Cowton.

Well, Sheils has been looking very racy, hasn't he?

For the last couple of laps.

And Cooper is going straight back at him.

Dan Cooper just finds places, an immediate reply,

and that is, allegedly, the way to do it.

Not to wait, but to get straight back at it

before the man in front's had a chance to make the break

or settle down into his new position.

What a wonderful inclusion in road racing the Supertwin class has been.

Absolutely fantastic. And look - they're passing each other

like the two-strokes we're used to seeing, like the 250s,

like a hornets' nest, almost, you know?

This is probably a good moment, Dave, to say good evening

to the man who more or less invented this.

Ryan Farquhar, I know, will be watching this Supertwin race.

Should be racing here.

Don't think his racing career is going to be reborn again,

but you will never get rid of him from the racing paddock

and nobody will disappointed by that.

Now, then, here comes Cooper. Will he fill the screen?

Derek Sheils trying to go through, as well.

It's Cooper who's through, so, Cooper back in the lead.

So, Dan Cooper from James Cowton. Absolutely fantastic.

Here comes Cooper. Cowton in second.

Sheils in third. McGee back in fourth.

That's the gap. Around they come.

-Ooh, Derek Sheils.

He's alongside already.

That's a good drive out of that last corner for Derek Sheils.

Cowton, though, goes straight past Dan Cooper.

That was the slipstream.

-That was lovely, wasn't it?

-Yeah, I'm sure Cooper would have felt that.

-Another gear.

He would have felt a little tug back.

And Derek McGee. I think that's Adam Maclean

that goes through on Derek McGee.

And he's said enough is enough.

Oh, he's showing lots of speed, trying to close that down.

Oh, a back marker is in the way, as well.

-So, it's all going to get very racy...

I think that's benefited Cooper. I think Cowton's lost out.

No, Cowton still leads. It looked like Cooper got through on him.

That was an exciting moment for everybody,

especially whoever that was

that just got bombed by the entire leading pack, there.

But Cowton still in the lead.

This is last lap, remember, so this is where it all counts.

-Dan Cooper's had a way of sneaking past people.

-Oh, it's Paul Jordan.

Sorry, it was Paul Jordan. I said it was Adam McLean, it's not.

My apologies. It's Paul Jordan that's up into third place.

Well, at last, the result that he's been waiting for.

Perhaps we'll see Paul Jordan on the podium, if they stay like that,

but there's still about five miles to go!

So, Sheils back into third place.

So, Cowton from Cooper, in first and second.

Derek Sheils is right behind.

Then Paul Jordan. Then Derek McGee.

That is the battle that...

The group that's still battling for every step of the podium.

It's open to anyone, I think, at this point in time.

You can't say of any one of these riders, "He will get him here,"

or, "He will get him there."

Daniel Cooper's trying to think, "Where can I do this?"

Ride off line and have a look round, and see if that was a gap -

-and it wasn't.

-They're just kicking lumps out of each other.

So, Dan Cooper is now the race leader,

but there are plenty of opportunities

for James Cowton to hit back.

It is Cooper, Cowton and Derek Sheils. First, second and third.

-What a fantastic final lap this is turning out to be.

Derek Sheils - the front end of that was banging his teeth out.

It was, but Cooper is the man who leads out of the Lindsay Hairpin.

Now, then, James Cowton's the only man, I think,

that could pass Dan Cooper from this position.

Can he get close enough?

We're following the race leader, as he goes towards the chequered flag,

and what a result this would be for Dan Cooper.

On the floor at the North West 200, after that big, big crash.

Cowton's got more to worry about,

as he's got Derek Sheils trying to ride round the outside of him.

And he's ridden round the outside of him.

Derek Sheils has done the Hutchy move, up into second place.

It's Cooper, though.

It's Dan Cooper who's going to win his first big international win.

What a battle for second place, as well.

It will be Sheils from Cowton.

Jordan will take fourth. But it's Dan Cooper.

What a result for him and his team.

Fantastic racing, again, at the Ulster Grand Prix.

The Dundrod circuit delivers once more.

That was a fantastic last mile or so, wasn't it?

So, it means a lot.

Yeah, you know, in the North West, I thought I could have won,

you know, and it didn't happen, because I had a crash with Ryan.

So, I really wanted to prove a point today.

When I got into the race,

I thought, "I'll just sit here in second,

"and then, on the last lap, get in front and try and break."

And that's what I did. And it worked, like, you know?

Makes it sound like science,

but you all saw that was black magic from all of them.

It's a magic result for Dan Cooper

at the end of what's been a difficult year for him.

These fans all have their favourites out on the grid,

but what about the riders themselves?

We asked some of the stars of 2016 about their road racing heroes.

My road racing hero is Dave Jeffreys.

I worked for the family business and saw DJ coming through

to win three TTs each year for three years running.

It was amazing to watch him.

My favourite racing hero probably of all time is Joey Dunlop.

I grew up watching him.

In New Zealand we used to get the old videos come in

from the '80s onwards and watching Joey, I don't know,

he's my favourite rider.

My road racing hero is John McGuinness,

because he's fast, smooth, consistent and enjoys his food.

My hero would be David Jeffreys.

The reason behind that is because, as I grew up as a kid,

I used to stand at Scarborough

and watch him at the TT and see everything he's done

and he's achieved great things.

It's always nice for someone that's local to follow, really.

When I used to watch when I was younger,

that's the only person I wanted to win

and if anyone beat him, I wasn't happy. So, he's the man.

Nobody picked Phillip McCallen. Controversial.

Phillip, last Superbike race of the day,

last chance for the riders to make their mark.

It's going be a hard, tough race.

I think, to be honest, Hutchy has to start favourite.

He's had three wins already,

so we have to put him in for a number one spot.

Anstey has one win already. He wants another one.

Peter Hickman had a Supersport race. He's on form, wants that win.

And let's not forget about Michael Dunlop. He never gives up.

And what about that lap record, is it going to go?

Yes, the boys are all on form. The bikes got used to them.

It's going to be fast. Yes, it is going to go this time.

Can you pick us a winner?

-I'm good, but I'm not that good.

-He IS good.

For the final time, let's get to it and join our commentary team,

Dave and Richard.

Well, they've been Superpole sorted for this.

That puts Bruce Anstey in pole position, from Michael Dunlop,

Peter Hickman and Ian Hutchinson.

-The rest of them also Superpole sorted behind.

Conor Cummins, Dean Harrison, Dan Kneen potential race winners.

My money's on Michael Dunlop for this one.

He's not won today.

-He will be bursting...

-Absolutely, yes.

There hasn't been a Dunlop winner all day, in fact.

It's been Hutchy's day.

This is Michael's chance to change all that,

-as the final race of the day gets underway.

Peter Hickman goes off the line like a bullet!

Dean Harrison, from row two, up into second place.

Looking back from Dan Kneen... Not a great start.

Dean Harrison up the inside. He's going to lead, is he?

Yes, he is.

So, Dean Harrison, absolutely fantastic.

Peter Hickman there, as well.

And Dan Kneen just ahead of Dan Cooper.

That was Gary Johnson just behind.

Conor Cummins on the right of the picture, going past us, I think.

As the second wave gets underway, David Jackson in pole position

from Mike Booth and Richard McLoughlin on the far side.

Ryan Kneen, there, bike 32, got away well off the grid,

but it's Dean Harrison who leads them.

Not for long, though.

There goes Hutchinson.

Just so smooth, wasn't it? There's so much power in that bike.

Yes, Ian Hutchinson into the lead from Dean Harrison,

but Harrison will have hope, of course, now.

He's not won a race today.

I don't think he's even been on the podium today, either.

That's Dunlop in third place.

Hickman's gone back to fourth. Anstey is fifth.

Cummins is sixth, Johnson is seventh and then Dan Kneen in 8th.

I'll tell you what, that's all right for Gary Johnson,

parachuted into this event to replace Lee Johnston,

who broke his collarbone in practice on Wednesday night.

Gary Johnson's straight on to those bikes, sorted himself out,

found the settings, and is putting in incredible performances

in every race.

Dean Harrison, though. We've not really spoken much about him today.

He's had a cracking year. Arguably his best so far.

Peter Hickman, as well, in fourth place.

He's been out of luck today.

He'd love to finish the day with a win.

So many stories to be written here at the Ulster Grand Prix.

But Ian Hutchinson, well, he's the man of the meeting already, for me.

Three wins, looking for the fourth.

It'd be hard to say at this point in time

that he's not going to get the fourth in this one,

but we don't have a Dunlop winner today

and Michael Dunlop is the man, the only one, who can change that,

and he's thinking about it already.

The Hawk BMW is fast. Michael Dunlop is fast.

He's also a breathtaking joy to watch and he is so determined.

Here comes Michael Dunlop!

Whoa! Blasts past Dean Harrison.

Michael Dunlop does not want to get caught out this time.

He's got a fairly decent start in this one. The opening lap.

And that's just cruising home.

-Number 20, there, was...

-Phil Crowe.

-..Phillip Crowe, yes.

He's had a bit of a disappointing day.

So, Hutchinson... And Michael Dunlop does not want to see

Ian Hutchinson disappearing into the distance,

but he is. That's a big, big gap on this opening lap.

Hickman, there, in fourth, behind Dean Harrison.

Bruce Anstey trying to make his way through, if he can,

then it's Cummins and Dan Kneen.

Well, no sign, yet of the Bruce Anstey "rocket ship" Honda.

That's got to take part in the proceedings, as well.

Michael Dunlop's not a long way back from Hutchy

and Dean Harrison's looking very good, as they sneak through, there.

Dan Kneen on the inside, there, of Conor Cummins.

The two Manxmen having their own little duel.

They've done very well today.

This has been Dan Kneen's best meeting ever, I think.

Certainly been his best meeting of the year,

considering he's missed a couple, and he was riding so well last year,

he's managed to get back up to that same pace,

which is sometimes very difficult to do.

Sometimes takes a little bit longer,

but he's just stepped right back into the same form.

He had that little off, before, on the 600,

said there was no gear there.

He just had to. He couldn't stop it, off it went, just rolled it off.

-So, then...

-Down the hill they go.

-Lap number two. Here comes Anstey.

-Bruce is coming.

-Yes.

Ooh, super power from the Honda. Absolutely blasting through.

Conor Cummins, on his Honda, wants a little bit of the same.

Trying to go past Dan Kneen.

It's Hutchinson from Dunlop. Slight gap back to third,

Dean Harrison.

Hickman coming under pressure from Dan Kneen and Conor Cummins now.

Peter Hickman's about to get caught up in this Manx-only battle.

Well, the thing is, with Peter Hickman,

he is on a Superstock bike. These are all Superbikes.

He's losing out on the straight line speed,

and, certainly, that will matter a lot at Dundrod.

So, great effort from Peter Hickman,

but he'll do well just to stay with this lead group.

Yeah, he's having to ride it really hard, go long into the corners.

It doesn't get the punch off the corner, either,

so he loses ground on corner exits.

And as we've seen, that's one of the things this bike does really well.

We began the day with Ian Hutchinson versus Michael Dunlop.

It looks like we could end the day

with Michael Dunlop versus Ian Hutchinson, as well.

Here comes Dunlop!

Catching, as they go down towards Cochranstown.

I don't think he'll make a move there.

Bruce Anstey goes through.

So, Anstey into third, Harrison back to fourth.

So, then, Michael Dunlop is closer to Ian Hutchinson this time around

than he was on the previous lap.

I think Michael Dunlop... I still pick him for this one.

Everybody's got their 50p on Michael Dunlop.

He been a hard man to beat on the big bikes this year.

-It has been done today.

-Yeah, the only man, really,

that has beaten him has been Ian Hutchinson,

that's the man that's in front of him right now.

So, can Hutchy make that two in a row

and can he make it four wins in a row?

That's the second wave we're looking at, at Deer's Leap.

Back with the race leaders.

Michael Dunlop will be happy where he is right now.

-He'll be even happier now!

-Yes.

But Bruce Anstey could be about to mug both of them.

So, I think Hutchinson's made a mistake there.

Must have missed a gear.

Must have been something for Ian Hutchinson, for that to happen.

-Dan Kneen's got Conor Cummins banging on the back door.

-Yes.

He was tapping...

Not tapping. He was banging quite loudly.

So, back to the front

and it should still be Michael Dunlop from Bruce Anstey.

Ooh, I think Bruce Anstey's got ideas about that.

I think it'll be Michael Dunlop from here on in, now.

Michael Dunlop. Now he's got to the front, he will take some passing,

the mood that he'll be in.

But having said that, Bruce Anstey into Tornagrough.

But look, again, Michael Dunlop's trying everything

to preserve the number one position.

Dean Harrison still not out of it in fourth place,

but you, kind of, look at it and think,

"Well, it's the front three that were fastest in qualifying."

Obviously, Hickman's on the Superstock, but...

I tell you what, this circuit doesn't do for Michael Dunlop

what some of the others do,

because this is a racer's circuit. It's smooth and perfect

and what you really need is to be smooth and perfect

and Michael Dunlop's won so many races this year

by riding a bike like he hates it

-and wants to bang it on the ground.

-Yes.

He's saying to everybody behind him, "If you want to race with me,

"you've got to ride like this, or I'm going to win."

-Yeah.

-This isn't that kind of circuit.

So, he's got to really adapt himself to this.

He's really got to think about what he's doing.

-He can't do things like this.

-Maybe.

I think you might be doing him a slight injustice.

The old Michael Dunlop... he's certainly smoother now,

but you can see that he's wrestling that power.

You have to wrestle these BMWs, they are so powerful.

Ian Hutchinson wants to get past Bruce Anstey if he can.

We might just see the power of the BMW on the Honda,

but, no, it's the Honda going past the BMW. Michael Dunlop.

-Both.

-Dunlop's been mugged.

-Wow, I wasn't expecting that.

-Some slipstream magic at work there.

Michael Dunlop back to third.

I know they were tinkering around with the bike after the earlier race

but it looks like it's not worked.

I'm astounded they went past him like that and also they can't...

He was up through the gearbox, so it wasn't a mistake

by Dunlop that allowed Anstey and Hutchinson through,

but it's Bruce Anstey that now leads.

By a growing margin, as he goes up the hill.

That thing is very powerful, indeed.

That's 75, Mike Booth. That's off the track.

It's spectacular entertainment all the way around this circuit.

We're only seeing a fraction of the race action on TV.

That's the nature of spectator sport.

If you want to see the best of it, you've got to be a spectator.

The future of the Ulster Grand Prix was in doubt some years ago,

but this is why everybody fought to keep it going.

What fantastic fare this is.

What wonderful entertainment racing is around the Dundrod circuit,

as Conor Cummins looks to get past. But you can see, because of the

nature of the track, it's so fast and flowing.

Those gaps open and close so quickly, don't they?

Little tiny adjustment of the throttle and you drop back

four or five bike lengths and you have to do it all again.

Bruce has got Hutchinson stalking him. Michael Dunlop, I still think,

is struggling to be third at the moment. Dean Harrison and Dan Kneen

behind might well start thinking, "Well, he's only Michael Dunlop.

-"We can pass him, if we want to."

-Mm, only Michael Dunlop.

Here he comes and he'll try everything.

He'll leave the brakes as late as he can. He's a quality, quality racer.

You can see there. Obviously, I think his machine is not quite

matching those of the two in front of him, but he's doing all he can.

And trying... He is trying, busting a gut to get that bike

and he won't want Ian Hutchinson beating him.

There's been so much between them this year

and he will not want Hutchinson to beat him again.

I think even Michael Dunlop would settle for second,

as long as Hutchinson was third.

I tell you what, Bruce and Ian Hutchinson

are starting to ride very, very hard indeed.

Those two, who are both normally so stylish and neat, are both

starting to moving a lot,

the bike is working really hard under both of them.

They are racing absolutely to the edge of the envelope.

It's when they get to the bit past that that it gets really,

-really exciting.

-The wind is blowing straight into their faces

as they go up the Flying Kilo.

You can see how they were getting buffered by it.

Now, Hutchinson on Anstey, I think he's got him. He has.

Ian Hutchinson goes past.

Hutchinson into first place, Anstey into second.

Will Michael Dunlop appear in the picture any moment now?

Ooh, just for a moment. So, he's still there.

-Michael Dunlop in third place, but different race leader.

-Deer's Leap.

The front goes light, that's what they say

when they go over Deer's Leap. It's about six feet off the ground

and in danger of diving off into the nearest bush.

If Dan Kneen and Conor...

Conor Cummins, sorry, are travelling back to the Isle of Man together

after this one, they will have plenty to talk about, won't they?

Won't they? It's been an exciting and action-packed final race

of the day. The weather threatened, but could not stop us.

And now Hutchy wins number four of the day.

Bruce hunting win number two of the day.

Michael Dunlop looking for win number one of the day.

So, then, the Lindsay Hairpin.

We've not seen as much overtaking on the Lindsay Hairpin

as I thought we would have done today.

We've seen one or two moves, but everyone seems to generally tuck in

as they are doing this time, as they go around.

-Oh, Dean Harrison!

-Oh, dear.

He was defending quite hard from Dan Kneen on the way into

the Lindsay Hairpin and he just got that one a little bit wrong.

He got his back wheel into the dirt there.

Such a shame, because it's the last lap

and he's lost an awful lot of ground.

When it's going this fast at the front,

you aren't going to make that up in a lap and he was looking so strong

and well on course for a good finish. Such a shame for him,

but it hasn't taken the pressure off up front, has it?

-Back on it, though.

-Conor Cummins sliding it slightly there.

Bruce Anstey still the fastest machine in this.

He went through the speed trap earlier at 199.2.

Not quite the fastest that we saw Peter Hickman doing earlier today.

But Hutchinson versus Anstey. It's between those two

for the final victory at the Ulster Grand Prix of 2016.

Hutchy goes across the track, trying not to give Bruce a tow up the hill.

That's how he got passed on the previous lap.

He doesn't want to do the same for Bruce.

And now, Hutchy crossing track.

Flames out of the exhaust, as well, from Ian Hutchinson.

we would've seen it by now. Conor Cummins in fourth.

He could well be third, by the end of this lap.

He looked like he was on a bit of a charge there.

Yeah, he has got Dunlop in his sights.

Well, another great race and it isn't over yet.

We still have half a lap or so to do

and Hutchy will be wishing it could unfold really quickly

and get to the end, so he can see

that fourth chequered flag of the day.

Bruce Anstey is close enough.

but it'd be something to reel him in.

I think it will take a mistake from one of them

to allow Michael Dunlop to get through now.

I think Michael Dunlop will run out of racetrack before he catches up

with these two. You're right. Not quite enough.

Another half a lap maybe and he might have done it.

Again, I don't think, as you say, the bike is quite up to it, anyway.

Oh! Plenty of movement under Ian Hutchinson's machine

and that has allowed Bruce Anstey to gain some ground on the race leader.

Ian Hutchinson, of course, four wins today

would put alongside the likes of Guy Martin and Phil McCallen,

in terms of the number of race victories at one meeting

at the Ulster Grand Prix. They're running out of corners, though.

Michael Dunlop will try everything he can

to leave it on the brakes. Bruce Anstey has gained that gap

on Ian Hutchinson,

as they come down to the Lindsay Hairpin for the final time,

not just in this race, but today at the Ulster Grand Prix.

Well, it was a great race and that really puts the marker on it.

That's a shame. He's been having quite a good meeting so far.

him taking it from Bruce Anstey.

Four races in a day at the Ulster and a double Superbike win.

I'm not sure if I've had a double Superbike anywhere before

and Supersport, Superstock, won on every class -

it's just been a dream day, really.

-Yeah.

I was thinking after the first race,

I can't believe we're not going as fast as we did in 2010,

but the last lap, I came on to the line with plus 0.03,

so I thought, "Try and get your head down

"and do everything perfect."

Champagne time. We've been treated today to some great racing.

Haven't we? Ian Hutchinson is Man of the Match

and you can see exactly why I think there are so many men of the match

that I wouldn't like to choose ONE.

Phillip, what a finale!

The Dunlops have had some seconds and thirds between them.
