Paul pushes it up but I do not think he will be overly generous. I

any trouble against Jason. Paul Foster who has won the match 10

shots to 3, 10 shots to 4 and extremely comfortable win. Foster

moves into the quarterfinals. Foster is through the last 8. He

will play Jonathan Ross or Mervyn King. Anderson will play Ben yet or

King. Anderson will play Ben yet or Brett. And the clash ever two

former champions. One more match to provide you highlights from between

Good value. Very good bowls but the story of this match has been Mervyn

won the first set 7-6. Both players playing really well. Mersin has

gone walkabout in the second set. Jonathan in on the jack again. This

looks better. (APPLAUSE) That is an indication of what has been going

on, Andy. Yes, I think so. He has just been saving himself for this.

A big cheer from the crowd as well. I think the crowd realised he was

having bad spell. All it needs now is two good ends and his into the

quarterfinal. So, another chance. This looks more like Mervyn King.

Is very good. Where has he been for the last six ends? Maybe he has

just been thrilling us, getting a bit of practice time on the green

to get to the tie break. The thing about the tie break is you can

attack. He e attacking and he is under. He has to go faster and

watch that bowl hold up. It will never hold up. He has been drawing

so well the last few end. But that is a back bell and it is still in

position, so Johnny Ross is not all lost. There it is left side of your

triedy it up or go for cover? think I will go for cover. Not a

big target for Jonathan. I do not think Mervyn will ever go near this.

of choice here for Johnathan Ross. I think he just has to come into it.

This looks too wide and heavy. Apart from that it is perfect!

First game to Mervyn. Disappointing effort from Jonathan Ross. He has

been much better than that in this match. A little bit of indecision.

So Mervyn survived the onslaught of Jonathan Ross in the second set

when losing 14 shots to 4 where he has picked up a single. Takes the

first end of the tie break. The bowl just struggling to get back to

the centre. Not a bad start. feet way, that is not going to be

good enough. Just wondered if he narrowed it a slight bit, Andy, it

could get a bit heavier. Yes, I won der, sometimes the centre of the

rink does become heavier. Has John tn adjusted from his first heavy

though? He is close to this, very close to the ball. Got it! He has

dropped away. I thought the other way. Just got it on the high side.

Looks to be arrest sting or falling in and Jonathan goes to the further

side. That is hat Mervyn was trying to do, drop in for the shot S

expect this to be the winner, although he is pushing the ball up.

He is not running. I don't think anyone can believe this. Mervyn has

been called the Swerve for a reason. His balls normally swerve in for

all sorts of angles because he is a great draw-shot player with a wide

bias bowl, but he is struggling to get centre rink on this. As we can

see t opening bowl, which I said would be beaten, as yet has not

been beaten, so that still holds and it is good enough for Mervyn to

go through to the quarters. can't leave it wide open, Andy, he

has the play it a I gain. Surely. You fell as if Jonathan will get

close with these last bols, so he is a close one - bowls. He is on
