-Alice Evans, a Welsh international,

-has broken new ground recently.

-She is the very first British

-FUTSAL player to turn professional.

-Clwb has been over to Sardinia to

-see how the change is working out...

-..for the goalkeeper who

-is originally from Brecon.

-My name is Alice Evans.

-I'm 21.

-Since November I've been playing

-futsal professionally...

-..for Sinnai Calcio a 5

-in Sardinia, Italy.

-I'm also the Wales goalkeeper.

-Life is really tough here!

-No, it's much better than Wales.

-Because it's always sunny,

-everyone's a lot happier.

-I arrived at 9.30pm

-because our flight was delayed.

-The girls were training already and

-they put me straight into training.

-I'd been travelling all day

-and I was knackered.

-Even from that training session they

-wanted to sign me straight away.

-That's when it really hit me.

-I thought, wow!

-This is going to be my life.

-I never thought

-that I'd get a contract.

-I didn't think

-that I was good enough.

-I wanted to come here

-to see what the standard was.

-I could return to the UK knowing

-what I needed to work on.

-It was always my dream to play

-football or futsal abroad.

-I hadn't played professionally

-in Wales or England.

-I was always balancing

-different clubs.

-It's nice to just focus on one club.

-I'm really proud of it.

-They'd lost every game,

-they hadn't won or drawn.

-They'd lost by a lot.

-It's very challenging.

-It's the most challenging league

-I've played in.

-I'm really enjoying it,

-I like a challenge.

-I think I've settled really well.

-I'm really happy

-when I get up every day.

-I'm always excited

-about going to training.

-I live in a small place called

-Maracalagonis.

-I really like living in the house.

-I don't look like I'm from Italy.

-I'm the only blond in the team.

-I don't tan at all.

-I'm really white.

-When I do tan, I'm like a tomato

-then go back to being white.

-Everyone looks at me

-wondering who I am.

-They know straight away.

-When I go shopping I say

-that I don't speak Italian.

-But that's already obvious to them!

-There are always men sitting there.

-They're all old and there every day.

-They always turn and look at me.

-I say Ciao!

-They say Inglese!

-I tell them I'm Welsh, not English.

-They still know

-that I'm the foreigner.

-I stick out with hair like this.

-I think that I have improved.

-I feel a lot fitter.

-I just feel sharper.

-The club make me feel more confident

-because they really believe in me.

-That helps a lot.

-The main thing

-is that I feel more confident.

-It'll help me

-with my football and futsal.

-Honestly, I enjoy futsal more.

-In football you're switched on but

-you're not called upon all the time.

-In futsal, I can't switch off.

-I always need to know

-where the ball is.

-I need to know where my players are,

-I need to know everything.

-I get a buzz from football but

-there's a different buzz.

-I enjoy futsal much more and I've

-played it since I was 16.

-I fell in love with it then.

-I haven't fallen out of love with

-it, I don't think I ever will.

-I really enjoy the game.

-I knew when I took on the contract

-that I could take a hit with Wales.

-That was a difficult thing to know.

-anybody can partake in...

-..whatever level of pony they have.

-I've only had the pony for a week.

-I've been riding since I was very

-small because I live on a farm.

-Riding is in me and my family.

-I haven't done much Mounted Games.

-types of competition.

-The Pony Club is for under fifteens.

-Some have ridden for Wales.

-Some have been fourth

-or fifth in the World.

-They don't need an expensive horse.

-They all compete together.

-These days they are going

-for more specialized breeds.

-My pony is called Lucy.

-She's very special to me.

-She does everything for me

-You have to be quite fit

-because it is very quick.

-I meet with new friends.
