Scotland took gold in the velodrome. We were suffering after yesterday so

highly to this managed to get the gold, it is beyond me. It is not set

in at all. Eleanor Barker of Wales won a medal as well. But the English

trio finished outside of the medals. A bunch of riders sprinted towards

the line but the Australian Edmondson timed her run to

perfection. Barker however snuck through to take third place and was

delighted to have won a medal. I had no idea how I did it but I'm so

happy with that. I celebrated like I had one at the end. Varnish was

defeated once again. She still has a chance, however, the bronze medal.

Strathclyde country Park has been a happy hunting ground for England and

they have swept the board in the triathlon after winning a team mixed

really. England's Vicky Holland, Jonathan

Brownlee, Jodie Stimpson and Alistair Brownlee won triathlon's

mixed team relay at the Commonwealth Games.

The quartet each completed the 400m swim, 6km cycle, and 1.6km run

course in a total time of one hour 13 minutes 24 seconds.

South Africa took silver, 49 seconds Last time we did the relay things

did not work out so well so it is pretty special. Alistair, you were

hammering it down. I knew I could run all right but I did not want to

spend did a few weeks ago so I was determined to win on the bike. You

McIntosh only managed seventh in the ten metre rifle. Obvious

disappointment for her and for her sister who failed to qualify. There

was also a medal for Drew Christie of Scotland. Also a bronze for

England. In the last few minutes Scotland's

Matthew Percy has just missed out on a gold in judo. The ten time British

champion was beaten by a very narrow margin by the South African in the

under 90 kilograms division. He looked distraught at the end. His

head was bound for a long time. But he does get a silver medal.

And that was followed by this. Just a few moments ago, Wales took gold

in the women's and 78 kilograms category. Natalie beat England's

Gemma Gibbons who won a silver medal at 2012. She has had many injuries

since then, but she still gets a silver medal. And her husband is

fighting later this evening as well. Two hockey, and Wales have played

two and lost two in the men's event. There were beaten 7`1 and there was

the seventh goal. The match was the first in a pool A. Wales lost 3`1 to

India yesterday. Scotland have also played two and

lost two in that pool. There was a 6`2 thrashing by India. Scotland

lost their first game to India 2`nil.

gold medals of the games. India have already won four golds

and by the time that the ten metre as final reach the closing stages,

they were guaranteed a fifth. She trains at a range that her uncle

has built at her house and all that practice was for something. A
