Day Four - Part 2 Golf: The Masters

Well played. Bubba Watson, Jordan Spieth, walked to the ninth hole

tied. Rickie Fowler four shots behind.

Ian Poulter for a birdie. That was a bonus. He pitched in the water, he

jumped in the air. I am sure he was convinced it was in the hazard.

Thomas Bjorn at the 11th. You'd better make sure he does not go left

and find the water. Ultra safe. That is 11. That is a double bogey.

I think his dream of being the 2014 Masters champion is lost.

Tee shot down the Thames. -- Kenneth. Ninth, I should say.

It is a big tee shot for Spieth. Sometimes it can carry over to the

next tee. He was a little unfortunate on the last hole. His

third shot looked good. Now he has got to regroup. No worse than a four

at the ninth. Very nice. A massive difference in

those two tee shots. Kuchar's third shot to the ninth.

The pain well protected by the bunker. That will be more you can

handle for par. -- all. Ian Poulter. Stay at. No. -- up.

This is like the putt we just saw Rickie Fowler made for par. That

could go all the way of the green. Slow down. OK. It is hard to breathe

when that ball gets going past the hole like that.

Blixt. Look where he is aiming. The hole is behind him.

I don't think Mr Jones would approve somehow.

It is a newly -- nervy place to play golf and it keeps you off-balance.

It adds to the magnitude of what it means to be champion. A huge putt

for Kuchar for bogey. Back up the hill.

Yes! That is a terrific effort. That is the one. A good putt for a five.

Thomas Bjorn. That could be good. It could be

brilliant. Sweet shot. Yes. No problem. He has putted

beautifully. Very confident. I think he is the only player left in the

field without a free -- three putt. Is it going to be one of those days?

We will go back to that. Justin Rose at 11th. This is a big break. Just a

bit too high. 11th playing really difficult today. You can make a

birdie but you must hit a good tee shot. The water very much in play on

11. This is what I wanted to allude to. The difference in these two tee

shot is astronomical. When you see the angle. You see the front left

corner of the green, that bunker is not really in his way. He can favour

the right-hand side, I guess. It has got to be far enough. No.

This is a tragic mistake. Spent many a tournament lost here at nine by

coming up short. Greg Norman did it several years ago. One time the ball

was only a couple of feet from the hole and then it took since then and

was 40 yards short. Advantage Bubba Watson. Bubba does not even have to

think about the bunker he has driven it so far down. He wants to hit this

just left of the flag, if he is brave enough.

What a shot! It is starting to feel like Match Play. It is amazing how

he gets the club face back on the ball with all of those moving parts.

It really is quite unique. Now McIlroy.

Stay, stay, stay up. So near. A very nice way to finish. Level par. He

did not mastered this week the par fives.

This was a pretty nice place to leave it, cutting back up the hill.

He needs to hit it hard enough. It just trickles off at the last

second. It is going to be a bogey. It would be a nice place to be in

two, not though. 11th hole, Westwood. Second shot.

This is a huge moment in this tournament, Peter. This is difficult

for Spieth and Bubba has a very makeable putt. We could see another

two shot swing if Jordan does not judge this correctly. Jimenez for a

birdie at ten. It looks good. Well done!

The magic of yesterday has not quite appeared today but he is still going

along very nicely. This is an idea of how far below the

green years. This is ever so tough. That would be so delicate. You just

get a sense how fast this next one will be. You will have to play

outside the hole as well. Kuchar at the 10th.

There is a huge difference if you can get that kick forward of the

slope. He is going to just catch the edge

of the fairway. A huge amount of bread here on

Bubba's birdie putt. Has he done it? Maybe. Yes, he has! He puts so much

pressure on Jordan Spieth with that. Very impressive. He has played

a very impressive nine holes. A few little miscued but he has recovered

from them. Very good indeed. You make a choice here, I think,

Peter. You just making choice. We did a little bit earlier in the week

with Ken Brown showing you can either taxes or just it. If it

catches the high side, it is going to go equally as far by. You have

got to catch this dead centre. It is a horrible putt, this one.

That is a four shot swing in two holes. It is not in yet.

Get this one in, regroup and make your way to the 10th tee. He is

getting a little bit flustered. He is taking longer and longer and

longer. Well, five. That is a pretty mixed

bag. But now Bubba Watson is to ahead. They move up to the 10th. It

is a great hole, a blind tee shot, but there are all sorts of things

can go wrong. Ken had a look at it this morning.

What a wonderful atmosphere it is at number ten today. This is a par

four. A dogleg to the right, you can hit a draw off the tee. If you can

carry it to the rich, there is the real downslope so if you use a

3-wood, the ball goes scuttling on down the fairway. It drifts to the

left as well. The further left you can get it, the better angle to the

flag. It is not necessarily a driver. You have got to use a little

bit of draw. Get down the left-hand side and get a nice life. If you get

it right, this is the shortest distance.

Westwood at the 11th for par. No. He is just hanging on. Very few putts

have been holed by Westwood. Blixt. Four shots off the pace. When

will he decide that he needs to start to take a chance. Not quite

far enough. It is OK though. Upon the high ground, Bubba. He is

driving quite beautifully. You wonder how on earth he can keep

getting the ball in play. There is another one of those one,

finishes. But he has gotten away with it. Because he hit the slope,

he has run right past Bubba Watson. STUDIO: Can he regroup? One man who

was in a position to win four years ago, Rory McIlroy. He said he wanted

his best finish if he could not finish in first place.

Lots of good golf today but I suspect moments of irritation and

frustration. It seems like this is what this course gives you. It uses

you and then takes it away from you. But I played well. I have driven the

ball as well as I have ever, I think. I am driving the ball so

well, so long, and for the most part straight. It gave me opportunities

for birdies but I am just not holding the purse I should so I have

got a couple of weeks off to work on that and hopefully come back to the

Tour with a little bit more confidence in my short game and is

my long game is still there, it looks like it will be a good season.

You play the par fives in level par. How annoying is that? To finish even

park is not good enough around here. You are trying to play the par fives

at least 10-under par. If you look at some of the leaders, that is with

a comma that is what they will finish on. That would busy be good

enough to win. Come back next year, try and putt are little better and

play the par fives better and you never know. Thank you for taking the

That was a brief shot. Settle. You can see that it is going to be very

tricky. Kuchar. This is a tricky one to get

down in two. Moving on nicely. Very nice. That is

a very fine result for Kuchar. Blixt back-up band across the hill.

He has hit it too hard, I feel. That is a tricky Rascal. He does not like

it. John Senden at the 13th. This is for

a birdie. Yes, sir. To wonder. -- 2-under.

Trains in the background. Everywhere you look here, dutiful pictures.

They remind you so much of the portraits. -- beautiful pictures.

This is one of those little testers you love so much. Since I have been

in retirement. Well done. I and news. -- iron nerves. Those are the

greatest specials, those little guys.

It is a simple looking chip from here to the green. Let's hope he

gets a good result. Just watch with the ball lands and how it reacts. It

is wondering on down and it just leaves you one of those. Just that

one extra little bit of a snag and you have got a five footer.

This is close enough we can almost give it to him. In the interest of

time, once in a while, you would think they would. It would speed up

the pace of play. Rickie Fowler at the 11th, third

shot. Look at that. That looked as if it

was going to stop two feet short of the hole and it is ten feet past.

Bubba loves to draw the ball. Let's see if he can cut this. That is a

cut swing. He does not like it. It is not cutting. A good break. It

might have been even better if it had come down onto the green.

It looks long but a lot of times when you pull it looks further

anyway. Ian Poulter. This for a birdie. His

second looked good. But he went over the green.

Back to the 10th. The final pair. A chance, young man. Put it in the

middle of the green. Get a four, maybe a free. -- three.

He has not pushed it in two the bunker -- in the bunker, has he? He

has. The final pairing. Having a look

through some of the shots we have seen so far today. This was a little

putt. Around the edge and went in. Bubba had a delicate one at the

third. This was for par. Nearly drove the green. He then had an

awkward shot. We get to the fourth hole. This has given them a

tremendous amount of problems this week. 250 yards. Bubba hit one high

right at the target. Magnificent shot. Spieth put his tee shot in the

bunker and we are all feeling a bit sorry for him and he pops it and

just goes and disappears. Now Bubba is left with a five footer. But I

can do it also. Now the sixth, the next short-haul. -- short hole.

Write online. Good shot. Very good shot indeed. Bubba virtually off the

back of the green. Another good tee shot. Down the hill and in 42. --

for two. He hardly touched that one. Another birdie. This is where it all

changed for him. He was just wide of the green with his second shot. He

added short. A poor first putt. A poor second putt.

As they went over to the ninth tee, Bubba played a beautiful second

shot. Spieth was a little bit short and went back of the green. Bubba

gets a three. Spieth has this for par. Just trickles down the right

edge. Another two shots. They move from here and to the 10th on the

back nine with all to play for. Thomas Bjorn now. A good break. His

ball was not in the water and it is a lovely shot to there. He will have

that gets a under. -- to get to 3-under. Look at this shot! That is

as well as you can expect. As it turns out, Peter, that bunker

shot may be easier than what Bubba faces. Bubba has got a tricky one,

but first, Jimenez. This for par. Bubba, such a nice touch, but there

is nothing he can do there. When will it stop? Oh boy! We may see a

shot dropped thereby Bubba. Blixt at the 11th. Quite a dogleg

left to right. The trees creeping in down right. You have got to slide it

left to right. That is perfect. Kuchar, has not been his favourite

hole this week. Left. That is a double cross. Trying to hit a cut,

what a good break! Would have been way in the shadows. Up the hill. No.

Miss Keeling from the fairway, on this hole, no good. -- miscueing.

Can Jordan Spieth tap this one in? A fantastic up and down. Has been a

seesaw battle. Justin Rose. A little equal chance for Justin. A putter he

has had made specially for this week. He has putted well, the

simplest of birdie chances. That is quite an up and down. The first

signed the -- sign of emotion. It is the back nine, at Agusta, on Sunday.

Well done, Tommy. 3-under. That is just miles back. 3-wood

second, look at this. This will not stop any time soon. Could it? What a

shot! The crowd roaring. This was moments ago. Rickie Fowler missing

his opportunity at 11. A couple of fives at ten and 11. Back down the

fairway. Blixt, alone in third place, three shots off. Well Dunne.

-- well... This is fabulous, Sunday at the Masters. Please, fly. It did

fly. It did fly, just enough. What a belief to find the dance floor with

that one. I would love the heart rate monitor on these players,

especially on the second nine at Augusta. Let's see if he can hold on

with both hands here. He has just piped that one down the middle.

That was miles to the right. Back down the line. Sliding, is it

sliding enough? That is ridiculous. To go over the trees with a cut,

mind-boggling. At the 13th, Westwood's second. He must have hit

an enormous tee shot. Good angle. Delightful, if that is his second

shot, must have hit a bazooka of a tee shot. Thomas Bjorn. Just a short

iron at the 14th, the ball will feed. Just kissing the fringe. How

far back will it go? Senden, dropping a couple. Nicely

done. They are into the back nine,

wonderfully fragrant names on this iconic stretch of holes. Some

treacherous water awaiting them. Bubba Watson has been tooling and

thrillingly Jordan Spieth. Jonas Blixt, Thomas Bjorn coming back into

the picture. With us tonight, at the Masters, you will have a front row

seat at BBC Sport. UPLIFTING MUSIC. This is going to be

a number liveable finish. It is celebration time. The waiting is

over. Amazing. Terrific touch, he is a

delightful pitcher and chipper. That was quite the unexpected pleasure

for Kuchar. What a break, that tee shot catching the trees and

write-down, he could still be in there looking for that ball. --

right down. A deserved two. The par five to come. Now Bjorn. That was

not his tee shot. Some trouble off the tee, going to have to settle for

bogey. Spieth, on 11. This is one of those pins, you have to get it

right, if you get the downslope... What a nice look at what they face.

Boy, 153 yards. Seems easy enough. This is a hole, the 12th, to get

your heart racing. Spieth, he has to control his

distance here. Ideally ending up at the last pine, on the right. The

distance have to be right. Have to get the ball to feed. -- has two be

right. Setting up for a draw, trying to

work it in right-to-left. There it is. Keep going, that is going to be

a tricky putt. Always swinging in off the right collar. Great shot.

Justin Rose, for birdie. Just touching it, yes! Well done, Justin.

That was Lee Westwood's tee shot at the 13th, this for an eagle three.

No. He has to be a bit firmer with that.

He is after it. A nice contact. Just landing a little softly. The

likeable irons, such a dangerous one. Just landing on that tree. --

delightful. What a date been for Jordan Spieth, tumbling into the

frontage. An up-and-down day, not all going his way. Emotion,

passion, as Arnie said, you have to keep thinking.

As a player, you almost wanted them to go into the needles, so you have

to lay up. I thought it was going to get there. I jumped. The players

know they must hit the fairway to have a go at the screen. -- at the

green. No glove. Just an easy action. He has overdrawn it. Don't

hit the downslope too hard, it has gone. Oh, dear. The margins are so

small. It is so hard, the emotion at the start of the day, you have a

chance when the chance has been lost, hard to keep it together.

Blixt, needs to start making his move. Everybody leaves it short on

12, for some reason. Not a gimme for par. Need to take advantage of the

par fives. Westwood, back to even after the birdie at 13. Coming out

of the rough, can he hold it? He has. Go on. Come to momma. Not

quite. Future, with a great chance. Both of these players, very much in

the mix. The two par fives, they can be had. The ball feeds that 15, 16,

18. -- at. They know that. Our leader, by one.

Looking a little on the low side. You have to play the 11th sensibly,

a four, a sound score. The pin is a little tougher than usual on 15. It

will not give up so many birdies. He gets that one in. Still no three

putts. Disappointing, you start to wonder, what do I need to do? You

start to evaluate, make decisions, based on your situation. The patrons

on the bank behind the 12th tee. Starting with his hands behind him,

a little forward press. Even when you hit a great shot like

that, such a tester. Spieth, starting to show a bit of

the nation. -- emotion. This is one of the great walks, like the 18th at

St Andrews. They are loving it, you are slightly

more worried. You look at what you are facing, the magnitude of what is

happening. The enormity of the moment. It can be overwhelming. The

really great thing about it all, you can hear a pin drop. Kuchar, a

swinging hook, has he overcooked it? A horrible tee shot from Matt

Kuchar. That may end it all for him this year.

It is downwind. A little in from the left. Right now, it is helping. A

wicked wind. 49. I like being Bubba Watson now, a one-shot lead, get to

watch him play first. Get to see what club he chooses. If you go at

the flag, come up short, in the water, he could be in the sand. His

sand play is magic. Will he be aggressive? Oh, my goodness! One of

the great mistakes, that is a shame. No matter where the flag was, he

would try and hit it over the bunker, ani said. -- Arnie said.

Still a long week Daly Way to go, but that was a slight rookie move.

-- long way to go. He is so jacked up, the adrenaline

is a real thing, no good for golf. Jimenez, third shot. At 13. He is

magic at this. Nearly perfect. Keep going, a fraction more spin.

The Aussie, John Senden, from Brisbane.

Coming round. Right behind the hole, have that for two.

Adam Scott the defending trampy and, travelling -- defending

champion, travelling the whole year with the green jacket. He will have

to leave it where it is. A round of 72. Ending his defence in the top

20. He is with Rishi. Enjoying watching that last putt, how'd you

sum up your week? Amazing week for me. Yesterday, very disappointing. I

played my way out of the tournament, leaving too much work to

do today. Could not get it going. Did not have my pace on the greens

this week. That is where I lost my shots. You have to stick around

until the end, who do you think you will be presenting the jacket to?

That is a tough one, I just saw Jordan's shot at 12. A luck can

happen, it always does. Look forward to talking to you next year. Just a

guttural emotion, that is as raw and pure as you will ever see. Just buy

the right edge. Everybody does the same. -- by. You and I know it, I

will still enter the right! -- came to the right. -- a little aim to the

right. He is lucky to play that one, the drop would have been terrible,

way back towards the tee. It is all on Bubba now. This is as delicate

and dicey, the most nervous shot at 15. I actually think this is almost

harder than the tee shot. You are below the putting surface. Scary. It

has been his specialist subject this week. That is just fantastic, I

cannot say how good that is. A missed shot, that would have been

it. He may be able to save bogey. Bubba has no guarantee par.

Kevin Stadler. Played with his dad in the first two rounds. The former

champion. This one has a chance. Is it?

CHUCKLES. I think if I was going to watch, it

would be on that bank at 16. Looks like this one is to the left. Get

out of there, that is very playable. Will require some terrific touch.

You can see how Bubba's Hall is lying. Looks like Astroturf. --

all. -- ball is lying. You can see how part far up the hill he is, so

fast, yes. He made that look pretty easy. And no spectators around the

green, a hushed every. -- area. That is not too bad considering

where his tee shot was. He may sneak out with a par.

You just wonder what runs through the mind of somebody is young as

Jordan Spieth? Of course, the task at hand at the moment. But between

shots. This is for bogey at the 12th. What an up and down. That is a

gut check. As you can see, yet they real mixture of numbers. Out in 35.

That was a demon up and down. Keeping the pressure on Bubba. This

is the flat screen on the course. Still not easy to read it. Keep it

still, Bubba. Heading to 13, those two guys. Blixt

knows the significance of this pitch. How will you judge it? Quite

well. Is that any good? That is. Should be a birdie four -- for

Blixt. Thomas Bjorn. The mess reading that one.

A stylish Ian Poulter, third shot at 18. Driven into the bunker off the

tee. That looks really pretty. It will gather back. He might as well

go up there and watch it. Not going to win it, but he will build on his

experiences. Hold onto your hats. Has he got enough light on it? --

flight. No, Bubba, that is enormous. Not much more than a wedge. They

have no idea. Kuchar. He gets it. Well done.

4-under. Bubba has hit the enormous drive.

We will have to see how much he cleared the trees by. Jonas Blixt

taxing. -- taps in. Heading towards those trees. That is

nestled down. Things very much in Bubba Watson's

favour at the moment as we go to Justin Rose.

This for par at the 15th. It slid across the hole. Nail-biting final

moments. Sad closing five. That is going to

add up to a 74. A tie for 20 First Place. -- 21st place. A couple of

good rounds in the middle. Lee Westwood at the 15th, second

shot. So many opportunities he has had,

just unable to take them. Things like that happen. Just a whisker too

much. Suddenly a birdie becomes very difficult.

Just on that tower behind the green to the right of the flag. He went

straight at it but that has gone left of the bunker. In the sand. He

survived. Steady. Blixt has blazed it in two

the trees. He might have a shot, might not.

The 14 hole, not a bunker on the hole, but it has its difficulties.

It moves from right-to-left but the fairway falls from left to arrive

and that is half the battle. The green is devilish. They relayed this

green last year but it is the slope at the front, it falls away and it

will moves from left to right so you have got to be in the right

position. Rickie Fowler for birdie at the

14th. Well done! Some of the flag positions to gather

the ball. Matt Kuchar at the 14th. It is amazing where he aims his

feet. Feet to the right, shoulders to the left. A good result. I saw

some pictures of him, a film of him earlier in his career. A very

different swing. Jimenez for a birdie. What a week he has had. Can

he finished it off? Yes, well done. A remarkable man. I wonder what

Matthew Norman would make of it all. What a shot this is for Jordan

Spieth. A deep discussion with his caddy at the moment. We did see Phil

Mickelson play a wonder shot out of there. He put it about five feet

from the hole. An extraordinary job. But I don't think this young man is

going to do anything but put it down the fairway. Leave it at 130. What a

silly place to put a tree. Not too hard.

That is OK. He is almost level with Bubba Watson's drive. I don't know

how he got there. John Daly, in his heyday, was quite extraordinary.

Jerry Lester Watson, his real name. Known as Bubba. He has only got a

flick of the wrist. It really is ridiculous. He can throw it on

newly. 366 Yard Drive. Amazing. It should not be allowed.

Settle down, settle down. That is a wonderful shot. That is as good a

shot as he will see from back there. That is as good a shot as he has

played all week. STUDIO: The other day Ian Poulter

said he was disgusted with his round. Let's find out what his

thoughts are today. Yesterday you were frustrated and

even use the word disgusted. What is your emotion today? Obviously

annoyed. This golf tournament, for me, is won and lost on par fives and

I have lost it this week. I played them today level par. I have not yet

sat down to work out what the guys up front, Spieth and Bubba, have

played this week, but I would think they are probably ten shots better

than me this week. I had to play them really well and I did not get

it done. It is a real shame. Really disappointing. 2-over. What was the

one thing you put in the memory bank for next year? I know I can play

this golf course. If I play the par fives well, I have got the chance of

putting a Green Jacket on. If I don't play well, I have got no

chance. I can't compete against the guys unless I am going to play the

par fives. I did the year I finished in the top ten. It is just not good

enough. I need to play them well. It is key for me to score on this golf

course and I did not do it. Thank you very much. Pleasure.

Spieth, his third shot. Both those balls, Watson and his, on

the bank. One revolution to the right and stone dead.

It gives you some idea of the rolling ground.

Blixt. Just two behind. A punch with a 7-iron.

How about this? Don't go over and down. A cunning shot. Only two

behind. Now, Matt Kuchar, his playing partner.

Come round. It might. Yesterday, that would be wonderful. But that is

a horrible putt. Justin Rose. I hoped he would do

better today. He just touched that to get it over the top of the hill.

Down she goes. Just that the death, it speeded up.

Westwood just to tap it in after that wonderful page. It really was

as good as it gets. Lee Westwood moves down to 1-under par. Bubba at

the top of the hill. To putts for a birdie.

I think he is a little bit short. That is not good. Frightened of it.

With good reason. I saw a couple of these yesterday

and he came up short on a few. He thought that was going to run on.

There is freer coming down the back nine on a Sunday at Augusta, no

doubt about that. The prize is so enormous. The carrot dangled at the

end of the nose is so huge. The rewards are so amazing nowadays that

it gets to you. This is a little triply putt but you have got to be

firm enough -- trickly. What a time to get a one. You never

know. I was here when our former colleague Clive Clarke had a hole in

one here. He pitched it straight in the hole. I think he's over here,

isn't he? A big fat for Spieth. -- putt. That would have been a very

good birdie after that drive but it is par. Now over to Bubba.

It is far from just between these two because Jonas Blixt is going

very well, Kuchar still in with a shout.

Watson with a chance to take a three shot lead.

Wonderfully done. It really is a wonderful effort. They have got a

handful of holes still to play but the way he has competed today is

remarkable. You have got to finish them off with the putter but if you

drive the ball as well as he has, you lay the foundations here.

Come on, Jimenez. He is usually pretty deadly from this distance.

Steady! Huge bumps and homes on this green.

No bunkers. It does not need any. He only just got to the top of the

hill, down it goes, turning left. That is magnificently judged. But it

is merely a yard pass. -- past. Here we go again. He just hates it clean

off the top of the plate, rather like Lee Trevino used to do. He has

been amazingly straight. Jonas Blixt, this is a put together

3-under. -- putt. A good effort. Creeping along. Still

in contention. 15th and all the drama they to come. Another par for

the suite. Give Bernard Langer a mention. A finish of 69. Only a

handful of schools under 70 again today. Spieth. Hard to follow Bubba

Watson and his driver but Spieth gets one away. Good distance on that

one as well. Meanwhile. Kuchar. To putts from

long range, good stuff. I have seen a few players with this

kind of shot on the 15th. It is difficult. What a result! That

looked absolutely brilliant. 14 feet away. It is difficult.

Westwood 42. -- for two. A difficult one from that side, left to right.

Not enough. Tied seventh at the moment, Westwood. 18th green, John

Senden. Australian. Resides here most of his golf. All of it is

played in the United States. He will come in for a 73. Actually, the

flags are in their regular position so often hear, if you take the

trouble to watch the television, you can learn a lot about how the greens

run. Links on the 15th. -- Blixt. A little bit too far left, perhaps. It

looks fine but the trees creeping a little bit further down. He hits it

a long way. He generates a huge amount of clubhead speed. A

different style to that of Kuchar. Look at the feet, look at where they

are aiming. Look at where the shoulders are aiming.

Rickie Fowler, his birdie attempt. This is the slight edge the greens

are starting to have now. They are getting very tricky. Westwood. Short

putt for his par-3. Just make sure you get it through

the stickiness on the fringe and then leave yourself with a six

footer coming back. Spieth, second shot. The 14th.

You can see he is a bit wide. Doing its best to get nearer for him. It

is almost identical to the putt Kuchar had a moment ago. A learning

curve now for Bubba. He was it out towards the television tower. It is

turning towards the pain, the hole, the flag. If it keeps going, it will

not be 1 million miles away. It is going to stop, I think. He has got

that look now. A three shot lead and looking very much at ease with

I think he has had a remarkable few days. Fred Couples coming up the

last. Always a firm favourite. All the old fellas have made the

cut. Fred Couples, Bernard Langer, Jimenez, Sandy Lyle, Larry Mize.

I don't know whether he will need the cooling or the heating tonight

to get himself back in gear. Decisions to be made but an easy

decision for Kuchar. A long way back off the lead now. It is a very

narrow target. If you are short, you are in the water. If you are too

hard, you are out the back. That is not a bad race to be. He is

on a slight slope there. He obviously landed very softly in the

sand. It is a very narrow green. Here is a tester. Does he aim at

that right-hand bunker and settled for that orders he tried to twist

it? If he really hates it, it will bounce and could go right through

the back. Decision, decision. Do I played to that bunker?

Certainly not. That was a great hit. But you see what happens. A wicked

little chip back. I think the bug at shot might have been easier. It is

not a bad place to be because at least you have got more room and you

can get a little bit of control. Not too far away, Jimenez.

Come on, come on. Keep coming forward. It is wonderful. That is

not bad. You beauty! This is the putt we saw Matt Kuchar

dribbled down to within 20 inches or so. Can a young man do the same? He

looks to have the pace right. It is speeding up a bit. No, it is all

right. It is better than all right. Once again, Bubba. Once again for a

birdie to extend his lead. No. So difficult to get the line exactly

right. Just inside the right live there. You are talking about quarter

inches. These putts are getting crucial now.

You tend to forget the ones you miss on the first and second day back at

the end of the week they all count. -- but. It is nice to see the sun

coming out which is when the shadows lengthen and the pulse begins to

quicken. This needs to drop. In it goes. A confident tap in. Well done.

Let's just see the risen -- rhythm of this putt. They tend to get a

little bit twitchy, even though you are in the lead. Three clear, four

to go. But what four holes. Kuchar out of the sand. This is a

quick one. That could be very good. Nice speed.

Look at that. It gains momentum. They do not stop.

Yes. Three birdies in the last five. Tied second. He is now 5-under.

4-under. I thought he went to 5-under.

It is not an easy shot from this bunker but it is not a bad place to

miss it. But look at this go. When it came out it looked so good but

then look at it go by. Fred Couples to try and finish with

a three. Not today for the silver fox. And

there we are. 71, 71, 73 and 75 in the final round. Alongside Kevin

Stadler who has had four good rounds. His father won this. You

will be pleased. -- he. He tells me he is going to give up when the long

putter is banned. He says he has no chance with the short one. Craig

Stadler says he is done at the Masters. He says he will only be

here to support his son in future. Jonas Blixt. It is a horrible shot.

Get up! That is an inch from being perfect. It is a horrible shot from

back there. Bubba, going to launch a rocket.

He has pushed it, could be banned for the trees. Well, now. Makes the

decision for him. Thomas Bjorn. Jordan Spieth. Is he a bit tight?

That is tight. Similar to Jonas Blixt's thrive. -- drive.

Standing about 15 feet to the right of the green. Ken and Peter back in

the box. This will be a marvellous up and down. A beautifully struck

putt, just did not quite read it. That was to move to within a couple

of Bubba. Spieth, 5-under, Blixt, 5-under. Bubba Watson leading at

8-under. Have a look at this, the familiar back left in position.

Always there. The players trying to aim about ten paces right. We have

seen a few holes in one. Trevor Immelman had one. Jimenez very

nearly did. Birdie that one, four wonder. -- 4-under. Justin Rose has

got some brilliant ones this week, this putter is a keeper. Let's

It is seven to the hole. It is going to fly at least 86. 86, 97. Should

hold on the left. We will see how brave Spieth is willing to be at

this point in time. Downwind, that should be enough.

What is the play, Paul? The moment is right here, looks like Bubba can

shoot it through the gap. It is still the right club, isn't it? Yet

hast to be up there. -- it have to be. Ideally, you want to swing it.

Nothing too brave, or aggressive. Plays a draw. He was always aiming

for the bunker. That will be very, very fast. What is Bubba going to

do? If you can get over the water in two, a few GP have to lay up. The

water is in play. -- it will be huge. He has squirted it. Bubba!

What a risk. He got a good break to get that, but to take advantage,

what a shock. A quick check on the leaderboard.

Thing is beginning to hot up. Augusta, the final day. Bubba

Watson, a three shot lead, a hugely risky shot. This is a debut for

Jonas Blixt and Jordan Spieth, remarkable performances. Lee

Westwood, just finishing off, level par. Could be another top-10 finish.

Freddie Couples, heading for a top 20 finish. Let's hear from him.

Yesterday you said, to have a big impact, you needed to get rolling

early, you did? I did, a rough finish, a fun front nine. Making a

couple of really nice pars. The craziest thing ever, about eight

years ago, when I lost to Phil I left they putt 20 feet short, I did

the same today. I left it way too short. I lost a bit of momentum.

Played some crazy shots on nine and ten, all hell breaks loose. You are

struggling, trying so hard. I had a 6-iron, to the 15th hole, it is into

the water. -- hit it into. I felt like I hit a lot of mediocre shots

on the back nine. You had fun this week? As soon as I get out of there,

I will get home and watch the winners, fly home. It is always fun.

Very disappointed. I feel like the back nine, I could have played much

better. I did not, that is part of this golf course, it gets you when

you play bad shots. Thank you for your time, see you next year.

Matt Kuchar. Use -- you saw Rishi's and Freddie's this bump. -- fist

bump. That will do. That will do.

So yes on the back of the green, the Thomas Bjorn. -- bases on the back

of the green. A birdie chance, nicely judged for pace. A round of

74. Just inside the top ten. Can he stop

this short of the flag? This may be perfect. Keep going. Oh, boy. I am

sure he is shocked. Jonas Blixt. Long one for his two.

Got to get it. Tied in second place, got to try and take a chance. Kuch,

with his chance. I think he knew that was his last gasp. Hard to

tell. Not so long putt. Just a par. This

is so easy to get wrong. A good one here, well, that is OK, not great.

You can see a wry smile. Never going in the water! Justin Rose. The final

green. I thought then maybe move forward today, but a round of 74.

Two over-par. One owner for the tournament. Not to be, this year.

Dead straight. Had a bit of pace, just sneaking to the left. The next

attempt for Bubba Watson. The pace is good. I feel like he was

always thinking par, many hit his tee shot where he did. That is a bit

further away than it looked. Opportunity knocks for Spieth. He

has do have this. Over two Jimenez. -- to Jimenez. Hopes that Bubba will

stumble. He holed a wonderful putt on the

seventh, not dissimilar to this. Tricky to tell the lie, can drift

towards the water. If you don't go in, you are four feet five. -- by

the whole. -- by the hole. This is huge, a Match Play situation. Bubba

has been known to miss some short ones. First things first, give this

is full attention. You would think it would go to his left, everything

says that, but I think I remember this one, just to the right will

stop boy, oh boy. You could have been there to read that one, I would

have given you a million to read it. A Match Play situation, three down,

three to play. Westwood's second to the 18th. A big

drive, he has played some gorgeous golf this week. Very few errors.

Straight up the hill. In she goes. Good par for Bubba,

after a very loose drive. A three shot lead, with three holes

remaining. His right foot two seemed to slip,

gone down the right. Very fast. Kuchar. Hang in there. Leaning like

it is out to the right, as well. It just hung in. A long way back. Not

the most mundane shot. Saying 182. The long, slim jacket of Bubba

Watson. Can Lee Westwood finish this Masters under par? Three at the last

for Lee Westwood. A final round of 73, no sub 70 rounds. Bubba Watson,

just keep it out of the water. He has played a draw, a big draw.

Looking anxiously. Is that any good? Putting it right out over the

water. A confident man. He is an artist in shotmaking. The wind

blowing towards the water, he has launched it, drawing back towards

the green. Jordan Spieth at the tee, need something special. The shot you

want is almost straight into the tee, kissing, the ball diving to the

left. An 8-iron. It can only be right. Better than he thought. Not

what he wanted. A slight mishit. There is Justin Rose, the reigning

U.S. Open champion, coming in on 74. A top 15 finish, the best he has

managed since winning last year. Next is the defence of that title at

Pinehurst. Justin, 1-over for the tournament, won over for the week,

how much frustration do you have today? -- 1-macro over. A tricky

start, the pace of the greens on three and four, exceptionally fast,

it seemed like through the middle of the round, the greens were not quite

as quick, a bit more aggressive, getting a run going. I was a bit

come shy to start with. That kind of showed up on 15, 16. Disappointing,

I was swinging the club pretty well. Hitting the line, just bad with the

swing. The guys have gone out, played well, I did not get after the

start I wanted. Thank you for your time.

We wish him well, good to see him performing better, had shoulder

problems, back in the groove. We are getting ready for the last three

holes. It would appear to be Bubba Watson's hands.

Can any of the chasing players do something remarkable? Kuchar on 17.

So far back, cannot even see the flag. Straight up the hill, he has

targeted another one to the left. -- tugged. Jonas Blixt, we saw his tee

shot, bouncing around, one foot on the pine straw. That is fine.

One by one, they slip away. Leaving Bubba. The caddy's Mark, also

marking the brakes. -- mark. This is pretty much the last gasp

for Jordan Spieth, he needs a miracle. Nick Faldo was three

behind, with three to play. Starting to show the Yanks, a bit.

-- show the thanks. No birdies on the back nine, his undoing.

Bubba, so much better on the greens, yesterday so defensive. I guess you

can understand that. Well... . Just what the doctor ordered. The

17th has given away one birdie, the 18th five, unlikely Jordan Spieth is

going to birdie both of them, a couple of pars will do. Jimenez has

been flying, three birdies in the last five. Settle down, go back. It

is good. Very, very good from Miguel Angel Jimenez. That will take him to

5-under par. Just gathering speed. Stay. Yes, it

will, maybe! This, actually, it is a heck of a lot easier than Kuchar

had. Find the short grass, Bubba. He's in

the lap of the gods. Park himself behind the tree. Where is this one

off to? All right, there is a tree not too far from him.

Down the slope. A shame. Fabulous week for Miguel Angel Jimenez.

Two at the 12th, a three at the 14th, two the 60. -- at the 16th.

Rickie Fowler, rolling it in. A closing par for Rickie Fowler, a

round of 73. He is in sixth place at the moment. Let's see if this man

can finish it here. He finishes four under par. Almost

father and son! Terrific performance.

Kuchar for par. Back up the hill. Just looking like it breaks up the

hill, to miss to the right. Such a weird optical illusion there. He may

well be spent. McIlroy eventually going to finish eighth. Jonas Blixt,

to save par. This to stay at 5-under, within three. Yes. A little

birdie at the last, posing a 6-under. Not sure where Bubba's tee

shot has finished. Jonas Blixt, extremely impressive.

No three putts on his card. Lee Westwood, another top-10 finish.

Wonder what he thinks of it? Another top-10 finish, are you please? Any

disappointment? A little bit of disappointment. It is not ideal. The

longest putt I hit, was on the last. Like I said, had a chance, didn't

put any pressure on. A bit disappointed. Seventh, my best

result of the year. I think the work I'm doing my coach is helping,

probably a few weeks too early. Thanks very much. The final hole.

Jonas Blixt. I don't think there will be a play-off, unless something

momentous happens will -- happens. This guy has been a revelation.

Nudging on the door for the last three seasons. He really does look

the finished article. I think their hands are tied here.

Deep in two the greenside bunker I would put it if I was Bubba Watson.

7-iron. Gosh! You are just trying to get it in two the bunker right now

if you are Bubba. Blixt is going to think, if I can post a birdie, you

never know. He knows Bubba is not perfect. He does not want to take

more than five. He is three ahead. He wants to make sure he runs at the

front of the bunker. That is exactly right. Missing to the right is OK

would be in two that bunker. -- or deep in the bunker. That is a good

spot. It is a great spot. No gimme a band down. -- up and down. It will

be on Blixt to create the drama now. Fewest attempts before second win.

Horton Smith had a reputation of being the most beautiful putter.

This man has certainly got a game all of his own. Lee Trevino, we

thought, had a slightly eccentric style. But they have not been many

over the last 40 years. But Bubba has certainly got a style of his

own. John Daly comes to mind when you think about Bubba Watson. Just

raw, natural talent. It will be interesting to see what

Bubba has left himself. He is just about OK there.

He has done well to get it there. Yes, he has. Just played a couple of

feet right of the pin. This lad could get it close to. It is a bit

of fortune with the first bounce. I watched him warming up yesterday,

dozens of little wedges. He was getting a feel. A beautiful contact.

This is a specialist subject of his. But this bit of ground is a little

bit more clingy. Have you noticed the number of times

he has hit the ground, he has hardly scuffed it. You would think with the

noise he is making they would be a devoted a foot deep. -- divot. He

has got to use the bounce. He has done that. Watch out! Maybe!

That got the juices flowing for a minute.

That was one heck of a shot. Very awkward.

Blixt with the most important shot of his life, I would feel. Can he

get it close? A long way and there with an 8-iron.

-- up. Come on Bubba, you can do it. I think he might have preferred it

that far short of the hole rather than plastic. -- past it. Paul, I

hope you have enjoyed your time with this. How has it been? It has been a

privilege to be year with all of you and to be able to call this great

golf tournament is always a privilege. It has been exciting. It

looks like Bubba Watson is on his way to another Green Jacket. You

have got more work to do yet but it has been a privilege to have you

with us and we will no doubt, certainly if I am is is, we'll see

you again. This is a tricky putt. You hate to always focus on the

negatives but he has been really confident on the greens today. A

completely different mindset today to yesterday when he was so

defensive. I remember Bernhard Langer hauling one on this green in

1975 to keep Seve out of it. This would make tremendous -- life

tremendously easier at the last. Yes! Beautifully done. He knew the

importance of it. A bit of a cushion going at the 18th. Suddenly he can

see light at the end of the tunnel. Just touch dates, it ran straight

and true, dead centre. -- touched it.

He has got a three shot lead over Jordan Spieth. I am trying to think

of all the odd things that have happened. He does not like this tee

shot. It is rather claustrophobic for Bubba. He has not got the

driver. That is interesting. You will target it straight at the

bunkers on the left. -- he. With the driver, Spieth. He is

looking for a birdie or better. He has been impressive. He has

played in a very mature way. Only 20 and a few months. It is not long

until he is 21 but I think he has been very impressive and is someone

to watch in the future over the next 20 years or so if he is blessed with

good health. Isn't it funny, Colin Montgomerie

goes all those years and wins all those trophies, he would long to

have one of these. Bubba comes along with his unique style of playing and

he has got to do something dramatic not to win this one. Two in three

years. He has played some fantastic stuff. The bunker shot at number

seven was a touch of genius. His tee shot at 13 was 366 yards. He is a

unique player. I don't think we have seen anyone like him. He plays golf

his own way. There is the leaderboard. There are

a couple of games to finish to tidy it up. Jimmy Walker has had a

wonderful season. He finished off with a 70. Bernard Langer played

another's friended land -- splendid round.

Blixt. This is to get 6-under. He knows he has got to get this to have

any sort of chance. We must not forget use lighten --

used Luiten with a 67. The Europeans, although they have not

gone home with a win, they have played nicely this week. McIlroy

with a 69. Lee Westwood, again, good stuff. Much to savour. It promises

well for our Open Championship in July. Craig for decent weather. --

pray. A remarkable man. I wonder if he will cry. Is that Mrs Bubba? Baby

Bubba. Kuchar. A good week for him. He has

played terrific golf for the last month or so. I thought maybe it was

his Masters. He started so well. A slightly disappointing finish.

2-under. Five and five finish is expensive.

I wonder what he is really thinking now. Golf is that sort of game when

you have time to think. How to celebrate. Extraordinary things go

through your mind. But for Jonas Blixt, there are a huge amount of

Ryder Cup points at stake as well. It is not only an outside chance of

winning the Masters, it does not look like it. He has got to play 13

tournaments but he is very keen to make the site. A good start. A

bucketload of Ryder Cup well done. That is horrific.

Excellent play. 36. 35. 71. -- terrific. That is extremely

impressive playing. Bubba waits down the fairway.

It looks a pretty lofted iron from there. An 8-iron or something. Could

it be? He loves it, he loves it, he loves

it. He will love it even more in a minute. Will he? I will have and I

will pass and I will blow your ball down. -- huff and puff. I am sure no

one will be great him his wing. The caddy trying to keep calm. A nice

little bonus. A little baby adopted, I think, just a few weeks before he

won the Masters. A very emotional time. He had to wait a long time for

the adoption papers but it all came together nicely. He is thinking

here, can I put this one in the Cup? There will be a big cheer if this

one does go in. That is not too shabby. It had a bit of zip on it.

It is almost the perfect -- putt Sandy Lyle had.

Wonderfully colourful. The weather has been wonderful for four days.

The course has played as difficult as I have known it. I have been here

when it has been raining, windy, but it has been difficult. The greens

alarmingly fast. A little bit of breeze. Hardly anything you would

call wind. And yes they have struggled. -- yet.

What a wonderful reception. Stunning. He is without doubt a

unique talent. I think the people who come and watch are quite unique

because the most control they have is a stern voice and a bit of string

around the fairways and it is very really that anyone misbehaves. Some

people think I am being daft. But I think how splendid it is. Just a bit

of string. No machine guns, no mugs, nothing. -- moats. The patrons put

their chairs out in the morning and once it is then that is your spot

for the day. They want the best funded point. The reason they put

the pin on the front of the green is that it gives people the best view

of the Cup. I think it is amazing that beaches remain where they are.

Now, young man, just trickle this one down.

This is almost Sandy Lyle's putt, isn't it? If memory serves me.

Well done! Tied for second. Well done, young man. That is a mighty

fine performance, young man. Very good indeed.

Bubba with the luxury of a future chill for victory. Finished in

style. Roll him in. Here she goes. Bubba Watson is going

to be the champion. Line it up, take your time. Don't do anything foolish

and remember to sign the correct score. You have done it, Bubba.

Twice in three years. Terrific stuff.

Very great moments, these. It'll pause out of you. -- pours. A very

emotional man, Ken? He is indeed. Now the family come on. I am sure

they are not far away. Baby Bubba. There is daddy. He wonders what on

earth is going on. Well done, well done.

Paul, what do you think of that? I just want to cry. It is fantastic.

They adopted the beautiful boy. Bubba Watson has put his stamp on

the game. He has taken a step right in two the history books. A clever

player. That is raw, natural talent. Almost a genius. It looks like a lot

of hard work to me. He does not mess around, he works hard.

There is a naive innocence about him which, in this day and age, is quite

lovable. In two the cabin now for the

presentation. All part of the ritual.

STUDIO: Bubba of deciding his cards. He knows the drill. He becomes the

17th man to win the Masters twice. He has done though by three shots

from Jordan Spieth and Jonas Spieth. They have played very well. That is

a tied fourth and tied second finish in the last two Majors. He is a star

in the making, as indeed is Jordan Spieth. And for Miguel Angel

Jimenez, his best finish in the Masters just after turning 50 years

young in his 26th season on the Tour. It has been a great season for

stories. -- tournament. Thomas Bjorn. Fred Couples once again in

the top 20. It did not go well for Louis Oosthuizen, the man who was

runner-up a couple of years ago to Bubba. But he did not need extra

holes this time. He has done it in style. My goodness, how wonderful

for his wife and child to be with him this time. He has spent a lot of

time adjusting to fatherhood and has now won the Masters again. Here is

the winning moment. The caddy has helped Bubba so much along the way.

Especially around the greens. He has shortened that cutting for sure. --

putting. These two have been really good friends long before they

started working together. There he is. He can enjoy a wonderful moment

with his dad. He is a cracker. That is the family picture. And there is

another jacket coming his way to go in two the champions locker room at

Augusta. What is this win do for his standing? He was always seen as a

maverick but he has cemented his place among the greats now. The

second one does that. Bubba could have won his first Masters by

several shots. He did not putt well very at all. It is a great cause for

Bubba Watson. He can overpower it. He was accurate of 30 and he is as

long as anyone in the field. He was a little more courageous on the

greens. I always felt as though the latter was almost a measure of your

heart. It is almost not fair to say that but when they are left short,

that is the feeling you get. But he seized his opportunity today. Let's

show you where he started to get comfortable. It was on the seventh.

You felt he was starting to relax a little bit. This is one of the

greatest bunker shots you will ever see. For the ball to come out that

soft from their, the knowledge to use that backstop, what a terrific

save that was. If he hits the ball for further, he is in deep trouble.

This putt on nine was huge because it would a lot of heat on wooden

Spieth. It created a two shot swing. Yesterday he would have left that

short but not today. That was the second two shot swing. Suddenly he

was two shots ahead and you could see the momentum building. And then

there were some utterly ridiculous shots. The clever use of his feet

and the hole body movement. We saw it best that the 13th. What a drive

this was. 366 yards. Golf swings are fingerprints and they are all

different. Look at that. We were looking in disbelief in the studio.

This was shockingly long off the tee of the crowd was, they have not seen

anything like that all day. This was the birdie putt that took him to

8-under. His parting did seem a lot more solid. It did settle down. The

hardest part about this game was the realisation that it comes down to

the putt. He was able to do it today. He was not comfortable

yesterday. Three of the four days he was the best tee to green and on the

greens. What does it do to people watching the game who have not

played before and might want to take it up? Is he the kind of guy who is

going to inspire you to play golf now? I think golf has shifted in an

ugly direction. I should not say ugly. Everybody wants you to be too

perfect. There is a blend between the artist and engineer. Tiger is

leaning more towards being the engineer and losing the artistic

ability. There are two kinds of golfers, those who need to know a

little, and those who need to know it all. Which one do you think is

easier. Bubba does not need to know it all to know it'll be great. He

has proved that again today. As for the chasing pack, Jordan Spieth and

Jonas Blixt have surprised us all. We have had a look at the next

generation. No one will ever beat Tiger Woods again. The bar is too

high. But we were wondering what the next generation in sixth grade when

Tiger was playing? Mathematically prop -- it probably works out. Look

at the embrace of two really good friends. Rickie Fowler tried to put

pressure on Renville today. It is great to see that. -- Bubba. They

are up for a laugh. Those two guys and Ben Crane, it is nice to see

these guys be competitive and try to step on each other's back. Let's

reflect a little bit on the fourth. Having been in trouble, suddenly the

pressure reverted to Bubba. I think many of us were beginning to think

it could be his day. New ask yourself, be quiet moments, your

mind begins to race. -- you ask yourself. Jordan was not sharp

enough today, and the end of yesterday. He was not able to work

out, whatever it was, the same thing was happening. He hit some good

shots, and he grabbed the lead. He became a little more demonstrative,

emotional. At the 10th. That is to be expected, only 20 years of age.

What are the chief lessons he will take away? Only his third major. He

will have a broken heart, but sometimes you need a broken heart.

The best thing is when it heals. This is his card. Let's hear from

him, Rishi has him. Your first-ever masters, what emotions are you

experiencing? It stings a little, it is mixed. I played the whole 18th

hole realising what was happening, trying to make a birdie. Definitely

some mixed emotions. It stings, as any close call does. It was very

close on the back nine, I felt I hit some putts like I wanted to, they

did not go in. To play this with not many bow use, I can take that

forward. -- not many bogeys. I still have the tournament in my hands, I

felt like I could put pressure on him. Ultimately, it comes down to

tempo, the swing, going a bit quick. I was trying not to, I could not

help it. Well done, this week. Time to head to the Butler Cabin.

supportive, my entire family. The support on the course, absolutely

amazing. Congratulations, Oliver. What a scene we witnessed behind the

18th green. The second time in three years, how did you do it? I don't

know. I was telling my caddy, I don't remember the last few holes. I

was just thinking about making par. The one at 18 was a bit easier this

time. An important sequence on the front nine, matching his birdies. He

started out hot, a bunch of birdies. I got really close on six. It helped

a luck. Helping my momentum. Can you describe what it was like? Your
