In this most unpredictable of seasons, success might be found in a

familiar equation. The power of two. Two players whose chemistry... Can

seem telepathic. Destined to be united, if only for a moment. With

an air of invincibility... Which two will triumph in 2016?

Jess, which duo will help get their team get their hands on this trophy

come May? We have our own double act in the studio, a midfield pairing of

Danny Murphy and Tim Sherwood. Three games for you over the next 70

minutes, plus a trip to Norwich among Saturday's action and two

good, two bad, but it is only the sixth time in Premier League history

that the top four have faced each other on the same day. Manchester

City against Spurs to come. First, Leicester's trip to Arsenal after a

week in which the world woke up to Ranieri's team.

After today, Leicester City have only one fixture left against a team

in the current top five. But if this is to be best if it's fast, they

have to fly again in the face of the form book. Leicester have failed to

beat Arsenal in their last 18 Premier League meetings. Their last

win against them was in November 19 94. The Gunners inflicted one of

Leicester's only two defeats this season, when Alexis Sanchez scored a

hat-trick in that 5-2 win in September. Arsene Wenger's mind was

made up for him at centre-back, Gabriel injured in training. So

Mertesacker returns, as does Francis Coquelin. Danny Welbeck is on the

bench. Leicester are unchanged for the sixth consecutive game. Claudio

Ranieri has used only 17 players in his 25 starting line-ups this

season, and two of those have only played four games between them.

Seems a very strange time to be kicking off, but most people seem to

have made it. Oxlade-Chamberlain scored last week at Bournemouth.

Playing wide on the right. Nice back hill by Ozil. Appears the handball.

-- appeals for handball. Martin Atkins and turns away. Was there a

handball? Lovely backheel by Ozil. Is he moving his arm towards the

ball trying to get it out of the way? I think the latter, but there

will always be a debate while these incidents happened. Schmeichel has

decided to come here. What a good sliding challenge. He must have been

30 yards out from his goal. Vardy, coming in! Well, the two goalkeepers

here, in quick succession, distinguishing themselves. Aaron

Ramsey made the first run and Kasper Schmeichel saw him coming, but the

goalkeeper must have been 30 yards out when he cleared it. And at the

other end, the first sign of the ace goal-scorer Jamie Vardy, with that

header. Petr Cech anticipated that also. Who would have thought it?

Claudio Ranieri, having managed Chelsea some years ago, took them to

second, as I recall, in the Premier League before the special one came

along. The swirling ball just stretched Petr Cech that little bit.

Clumsy by Morgan. Permitted by the referee. That was also clumsy. How

it is Vardy. Vardy goes down, penalty. Penalty to Leicester City,

just before half-time. Monreal on Vardy. There were two fouls. In the

build-up to this, Martin Atkinson decided to ignore them both and play

an advantage. Then when Vardy went down here, he pointed to the penalty

spot. We are in the 44th minute. So often this season, Vardy has been

the man of the moment. Arsenal fans are not happy. And even less happy

now, as Leicester City, the leaders of the Premier League, take the lead

in the last minute of the first half. It is Jamie Vardy, with his

19th of the season. Monreal, the offender. Vardy's penalty, struck

surely passed Petr Cech. Beautiful penalty.

It is so hard to keep possession against Leicester. They have won it

back now. That looked like a foul. It is by Danny Simpson. It is a

yellow card. Simpson on Sanchez, standing in his way.

Ooh! Another appeal by Leicester. Monreal again is the offender. I

don't think Martin Atkinson was inclined to give a second one. It is

Mahrez going into the box. There may have been a bit of contact. Whether

you would say that was a foul or whether he got his feet mixed up, I

prefer the latter. So did the referee. If Simpson going to be

given a red card? It is two yellows for Danny Simpson, a red card shown

by Martin Atkinson. And Ranieri's team are down to ten men. He holds

his arm back. If you are already on a yellow, you can't complain, I

guess. Leicester are down to ten. And now the game may change. He knew

there were some tough tests to come, and this may be one of the toughest.

Here is Walcott! It is Theo Walcott for Arsenal. Leicester's defence is

at last reached, with 20 minutes to go -- it is breached. The header was

by Jim Reid, -- it was by Jim Ruud, and Walcott was in the right place

at the right time. Roy Hodgson said he would like to see more goals from

Walcott. And he has got one here. Even Kasper Schmeichel could do

nothing about that. It is 1-1. And an Arsenal substitution now. We

are going to see Danny Welbeck. Nine months out, injured towards the end

of last season against Chelsea. The England forward has come on for

Oxlade-Chamberlain. Another chance for Arsenal to press

the penalty area. Oh, Mertesacker! That would have been another irony,

wouldn't it? After he was left out of the last two games, Per

Mertesacker, his last Arsenal goal of any significance was in the cup

final. Monreal, inside the box. That looked as though it might be the

winning goal, Giroud denied. But here, Arsenal again. In ghost Giroud

yet again. Schmeichel puffs out the chicks, because he was in the right

place a moment ago. That was a heck of a shot. Strong right-hand, Kasper

Schmeichel. Schmeichel gets a fist to it. That was one of those that

goalkeepers are just glad to get a hand on. It is a corner to Arsenal,

surely the last chance of the match here. Ozil will take it. Why did he

do that? I don't know why he made that challenge, because that ball

was going nowhere. It is a yellow card for varsity. If he had left

that, I reckon that would have been the end of the game. Instead, he has

given Arsenal a free kick, and we are only adding on time for the foul

and the free kick. Oh, it has gone in! Danny Welbeck! The fairy tale

finish. Would you believe this? What a finish. Well, I wouldn't believe

it. Ranieri doesn't believe it, and it only happened because Wasilewski

played a way that free kick. What a comeback by Danny Welbeck, nine

months out of the game, scores the winning goal at the end of the added

time. And Leicester City threw it away, having battled for so long

with ten men. As it is, Welbeck has given Arsenal three points, which

will take them to within two of Leicester. There are going to be

plenty of celebrations at the final whistle. And you couldn't have made

it up. Danny Welbeck has written his name all across tomorrow's

headlines, and probably put himself back in the England frame as well.

We put the effort in the energy level and intensity from start to

finish. In the first half, Leicester defended very well and on top of

that, we had the bad luck to be 1-0 down just before half-time. But we

were strong mentally. They defend very well. Overall, we were

relentless after that. The referee was a bit severe. There

was a fault but no yellow card. Two yellow cards in very few minutes. My

player must be more calm in that moment, but the match was so fast,

and a lot of players made a lot of faults. At that moment, I think, an

international referee had to stay a bit more calm. To get back up there

with two points behind, it is a big girl. The whole team were there

today, really put in the effort, even when they went down to ten men.

Sometimes it is more difficult to play against them but they kept

going, creating chances and finally got the goal. It is important for us

to show matches like today. We lost but we are satisfied because we

played the same level as Manchester City. At City, we won it. Today, we

lost. It's OK, well done to Arsenal. Various decisions might have

affected the outcome, and we will come to them, but for a neutral, an

entertaining game. I really enjoyed it. I am pleased he has spoken so

positively. Even though he has lost the game, you can be positive. They

are still top of the league and they played well until the fending off.

The pressure was on then. Arsenal can be pleased with their

performance because they showed energy and spirit full stop the

return of Danny Welbeck, what a story. Both managers should be

reasonably pleased. Claudio Ranieri summed it up perfectly. Martin

Atkinson is a massive influence on this match. Let's start with the

Jamie Vardy penalty. What about you? It could be given. He plays a great

advantage there. Jamie Vardy recognises he is very direct.

Monreal makes a lazy challenge. Jamie Vardy has got every right to

run into his leg. If I am a manager sitting in that dugout, I am asking

him to go down there. It is gamesmanship. He needs to earn a

penalty for his team. He has earned it. When we slow it down, it looks

like Jamie ran into the back of Monreal, but it is clever. If he

hadn't gone down and he was your manager, -- you were his manager,

you would be angrier, but the same is Monreal hadn't gone down? I think

he tried to get a challenge in and Jamie Vardy has every right to go

over him. The two yellows for Danny Simpson. Claudio Ranieri spoke about

the pace of the game. Does he have a point? He does. I think he is

unlucky. It is a genuine attempt to play the ball. I don't like that

from Sanchez. Nobody likes that. He has got Drinkwater covering him. Why

does everything have to be a yellow card? Why can't it be a free kick?

This one is more obvious, cynical. Olivier Giroud complaining. As close

players do. That one is a yellow card for me. Danny Simpson on a

yellow card needs to be a bit more clever. But it spoilt the game. You

ask, why does every foul have to be a yellow card? You watch Premier

League games up and down the country, any foul, players are

appealing for bookings, partly do so many fouls become yellow cards

because of how players at and managers behave? Absolutely. It is a

tough job being a referee. I feel for Martin Atkinson. A couple of

decisions were wrong or could have gone either way. I think Danny

Simpson was unlucky with the sending off, especially for a first booking.

This Danny Drinkwater tackle looked more full on Aaron Ramsey. Aaron

Ramsey put on Instagram but Danny Drinkwater has apologised for the

challenge. Iron that is good to hear. It looks terrible, with the

slow motion. He gets a bit of the ball but he leaves his leg straight.

I don't think you actually intended to hurt him. This reaction from

Aaron Ramsey, rolling over four times and jumping up, I know he is

angry, but I don't like that. Drinkwater, I tackled that way

sometimes to protect myself. I think it is a defence mechanism. When you

follow through, sometimes you leave your legs straight to protect

yourself. I don't think he meant to do it. Aaron Ramsey remembers he had

a terrible injury before, Ryan Shawcross at Stoke. He probably had

flashbacks. I think it is more mistimed. Drinkwater isn't a nasty

player and he is quite right to apologise. It could have been nasty.

Let's talk about the tactical side. Arsenal put in more crosses from

open play today than in any other Premier League game this season.

They had to, because Leicester played really narrow and invited the

ball out wide. But they fed the ball to Giroud more and more as the game

went on. This is not a tactic which to Giroud more and more as the game

should be scoffed at. When you have somebody as powerful as Giroud...

That was unlucky, a yard offside. He would have been in there at

half-time. Giroud had a taste of it in the first half. That is a deft

header. Fantastic knock down for that goal. You would have been

saying to his team-mates, get it in the box. Create chances for me or I

will create chances for other people. He kept sticking it in

there, time and again. He is getting on the end of every cross. He was

fantastic. There were people there responding to his knock-down. If he

has people around him, he can create as well. They haven't done it

enough. Arsenal fans will tell you that. This will be foul, a

ridiculous decision right at the end of the game. -- this was the foul. I

don't know what he is thinking. He came on as a substitute, and what a

big story for Danny Welbeck. They think they have missed it. He has

another option, play up top, play wide. Just to clarify, a ridiculous

decision by Wasilewski? Surely that speaks for itself! The game is over.

It is the 95th minute. Danny Welbeck gives them that aerial presence. You

liked how can -- Claudio Ranieri conducted himself close match. Do

you also like what he said his players, go away for a week then we

will back again? Absolutely, they have to brush this under the carpet.

They have had a tremendous season. They have picked themselves up after

defeats before and they can do it again. They have a nice lead. They

can't take this defeat to Beverley. Next up, two of the chasing pack, as

Tottenham travel to Manchester City, not a happy hunting ground in recent

years. It is Manchester City, 3, Tottenham

Hotspur, 2. Lovely finish. He has the goal. He scores. This is. He

started it, he finished it. Aguero makes it four. He has got them all.

Welcome to Manchester. It has often been a chilling message for Spurs in

recent history, but, if their current winning run continues, there

will be a real feeling that this Spurs team can make history. City

must bounce back from last week's failure against the Foxes. They will

be hoping the return of Vincent Kompany will help.

It is now a cast-iron guarantee. We normally get goals when these two

meet will stop quite often, it is for one side more than the other.

That is what happened at White Hart Lane early in the season. Spurs, 4,

Manchester City, 1. Aguero, Sterling taking it from him. City corner. The

first really bright bits of Manchester City player and,

inevitably, Sergio Aguero is at the heart of it. Silva's corner.

Otamendi got a touch. Aguero got too much of it. Just wouldn't quite sit

down as he would have liked. He levered that one high over the bar.

His expression tells you what a chance that was for a player of his

abilities. You can feel the tension right around the ground. It feels a

big game, like two sides who are going for the title. Brilliantly

taken by Walker. He found the net superbly, Son, but it won't count.

With clearing up after a finish like that. It is the right decision. Son

didn't know that. That is how to score from a tight angle, as

demonstrated by Anthony Marcial for Manchester United yesterday.

Yaya Toure bundled over as he looked to race on to the return. It is a

foul, which suggests nothing more than that. Until his patience is

tested if you times too many, it seems he is in lenient mood, card

wise. Sterling five that one into the

chest of Danny Rose at point-blank range. No wonder that Rose has had

the wind is taken from his sales. A good look earlier from Alderweireld

on Kompany. There were shouts for handball from some. Using a proper

old leather ball from days of yore. I don't think he would have got up

back yet. Another chance for Danny Rose.

Eriksen's shot, beaten clear. Cleared further by Kompany, and

crucially so. This is the first thing that has tested either

goalkeeper, and it moved quite a lot in the air.

Deflected to Aguero. Oh, you would have put quite a lock on him scoring

there. Yaya Toure did brilliantly. He used every bit of his strength to

keep the ball. A fortunate deflection. Down it comes to Aguero.

It is there to be it. Just doesn't get it at the right time. A man

normally cannot Miss when he placed Tottenham Hotspur.

Kyle Walker brought into play. Spurs are not done with this attack yet.

Rose, four waiting for it. It is a free kick, right on the corner of

the penalty area, or is it a penalty? Mark Clattenburg, pointing

to the spot. Handball, Sterling. Penalty, Tottenham. Well, did it

even strike his arm? Sterling has his back to it. He tried to make the

block. Maybe it is the underside of the elbow. It is in the area. At

Manchester City feel they have been harshly punished. England against

England, Harry Kane against Joe Hart. He hasn't really got into the

game as much as he would have liked to have been, so far. This is his

moment. And Kane slots it past Joe Hart to give Tottenham Hotspur the

lead. Very coolly taken. Nothing cool about the celebrations at the

away end. Well, Kane didn't look up. Hart made the move. Kane had

decided, straight down the middle. And it has got a huge dose of

controversy. Doesn't the referee have to be certain to give that sort

of penalty? I think that hit him under the arm on the side of the

back, surely. Manchester City have roused themselves into a response,

and they have got a free kick now. That one is outside the box. The

card is out of the pocket. It is Silva. It was Kevin Wimmer who came

in to stop it. Silva or Yaya Toure, nice choice to have. It is Yaya

Toure, off the bar, with Hugo Lloris beaten. Those Kompany, attack by

Fernandinho. -- up those Kompany. Three Spurs players charging into

him. A super strike from Yaya Toure. It was just too much for Hugo

Lloris. There was mayhem in the Tottenham Hotspur box.

Clear she has pulled back, and Iheanacho lashes in! Manchester City

find a way through. Boy, can this boy finish. It is his ninth goal of

the season. It is a simply massive golfer Man City. Brilliantly created

by Silva and Clichy. And Iheanacho was left alone to do what he started

to do for Manchester City pretty regularly, score like that. It is

all even again at the Etihad. Hold that change, Manuel? Maybe not.

Kolarov is coming on any waiver Clichy. Iheanacho's middle name is

Promise. He is fulfilling all that and more at the moment. Let's take

another look at Yaya Toure's how a blast. Hugo Lloris was great --

let's look at his power blast. Fresh legs for Spurs. Erickson, in! And

Christian Eriksen has scored! Brilliantly taken goal. More

pandemonium to those Spurs supporters. In the lead again. Can

they hold on this time? They haven't found space in the Manchester City

penalty area to often, but that was brilliant from Lamela. He got the

ball, he ran with it, he drew the attention of four in sky blue before

a perfectly timed pass to Eriksson. It is through the legs of Otamendi.

And then Eriksson puts it around the side of Joe Hart. 24 today, the

Dane. He has made it every Spurs fan's birthday. Another twist in the

tale. Happy birthday, Christian. Don't tell me he has just written

that now! Put over the top by Silva. What a

frantic finale at the Etihad Stadium, but I think that will do

it. The flying Frenchman has just made sure of a famous Spurs win at

Manchester City. A place where they have lost all of their last five

visits. If you were to pick a perfect way to

celebrate your birthday, would that be it? Definitely. Manuel, there was

one big moment, the first goal of the game. What was your feeling on

that penalty? It was a penalty. Do you think it was the right decision,

or an unlucky one? No, it was not unlucky, it was absolutely the wrong

decision. The shot hit the back and after that, the rebound. I don't

think that is a penalty, but it was the same referee in the first game

we played against Tottenham. Doesn't matter. I don't know if it was a

penalty or not, but you know, sometimes in football, it happens.

Sometimes in the whole season, it is against you, sometimes it is for

you. Can the title happen for Tottenham? I don't like to speak

about the future. It is more important for us to keep working

hard on our mentality. On Thursday, we have another important

competition. The fans believe it. The managers will not talk about it.

Are the players mentioning the title? Not at all. Everyone is

dreaming about it, but that is it. I don't think anyone is speaking loud

about it. We know there is still a lot of work to do. We still have a

lot of games to win. There is not a chance that we will give up on the

league title. We know we have to improve, but we would be absolutely

stupid to forget our history and how we react in those moments.

A lot of time on this show over the last couple of years, we have

discussed handballs and what one is. For most of those discussions, the

ball has hit a hand! You could argue today that it did. I think you are

right. I can only think that the reaction of the Tottenham players

persuade Mr Katzenberg to give the decision. He has had a guess my

hands referees do do that on the spur of the moment, but he got it

wrong. You can see that it hit the side of his body. He can't see. Mark

Trachtenberg has to be 100% sure that he meant to do that. No way to

see from that angle. For me, that is a lucky decision for Tottenham. As

you have both said, he must have guessed. And a guess but what we

said in the other game of referees giving decisions based on the

reactions of layers. But that has happened since football began, and

it will continue to happen. It is where you want the line drawn with

technology and the errors from men like us. It is normal, it is human

nature. He has not deliberately done it, but it did give Tottenham a huge

advantage in the game. You were both impressed with the centre halves of

Spurs today, Alderweireld and Wimmer. It is all about forging

partnerships. Both of these guys can play. Can they defend? Yes. They

have kept three clean sheets as a partnership. Look at the awareness

of these guys. For me, Alderweireld is as important to Tottenham as

Kompany is to Manchester City, possibly the best defender in the

Premier League this season. What do you think? I couldn't agree more. I

think he has got everything you need an Tottenham did a wonderful job

stealing him from Southampton. The great thing about these two was that

their distance was never more than ten or 15 yards, and they covered

each other. Don't get me wrong, the full-backs were terrific as well,

but when you have two centre halves who love defending, look at that.

This type of distribution from the back makes him the best centre-half

of this season. We saw that with Dele Alli. When he gets the ball,

they know there is a good chance that he is going to find them, and

Dele Alli makes goals. Not only a great defender, but he makes goals.

Two or three different facets of Spurs? Yes, the fact that they get

going for the win. When City got the equaliser, Tottenham decided, we can

still win. That shows the confidence. Four men, handing Yaya

Toure. Fitness, energy levels, work ethic. And the rotation of those

front three, I know Lamela came on, but it looks like a fluid Tottenham

side. Otamendi cannot step out and break the line. Eriksson is a

fantastic finisher. He is not fazed one iota. He was never going to

miss. You don't want to discount City, though. They had a much better

balance. And they gave it a good goal in the last 20 minutes. As you

say, it is only six points. As Vincent Kompany said, there are

still 12 games to play. They are my favourites too still win it. Because

they have done it? They have got that experience, and they have

genuine world-class players who can win games on the road. I know it is

going to be tough. I still believe they can win the league. Tottenham

can win, Leicester can win it, Arsenal can win it. It is a

fantastic race to the Arsenal can win it. It is a

put you on the spot as well. I have not got a clue who is going to win.

But I know who I want to win it. Former Spurs boys, aren't we? So

much impartiality on this show. Aston Villa's win over Norwich last

week and gave them the slimmest hopes of avoiding relegation, but

backing that up with a win over Drupal was a must. Don Murray was

there to find out if they could do it -- win over Liverpool.

Liverpool supporters have been praised this week for their gumption

and clout. Now they are looking for similar get up and go from the

players, not least Daniel Sturridge. Aston Villa name an unchanged team

after their victory over Norwich here last weekend.

Liverpool, who have yet to lose in the Premier League in a match that

they have led, against Aston Villa, who have yet to win from a losing

position in the Premier League this season.

Sturridge! 1-0. Daniel Sturridge, back in the starting line-up, duly

scores the opening goal. And there is that celebration. That is his

fifth goal of the season. A lovely, tantalising ball in. All Sturridge

had to do was nod it into the net. But he did it very calmly and very

well. Jurgen Klopp today was able to pick Daniel Sturridge in his

starting line-up for only the second time. As soon as they go a goal

down, you wonder whether they have it in them to get anything out of

the match, certainly in terms of winning it.

Just a little tug on Coutinho. The referee was right there and spotted

it. He just leaned into him. There was an arm on the shoulder. That has

gone all the way! And James Milner scores again against his former

team. Mark Bunn looks at his defenders, the defenders look at

him. It has gone straight through. I don't feel there has been a touch

from anyone in there. It is Milner's goal. He has scored by that home and

away against Aston Villa this season. 2-0 to Liverpool, and you

wonder whether there is any way back for Aston Villa in this game. Not

overly effusive, but he was in hospital this time last week. Villa

Abba reft of confidence. -- and they are bereft. You get the feeling that

they are going nowhere in this game. And that is 3-0. And that had been

coming. Emre Can, and Liverpool can celebrate now. They have surely got

the three points in this game. They are having a ball. They are really

enjoying it, and well they might. But Villa, poor defending again.

Firmino will get the assist for that, and Can, with his second goal

of the season. I think they know the job is done. Grim faced. The locals

are revolting. Remi Garde, arms crossed, bad body language.

Claims that he was pulled back inside the penalty area. I think he

had a case. Remi Garde is saying to the fourth official that it is a

penalty. With Villa 3-0 down in this game, the feeling of unhappiness and

dissatisfaction is now growing. And Ricky makes it 4-0! As easy as can

be -- Origi. He has been on the field for a matter of seconds, and

Aston Villa are now being put to the sword. And Origi, who is being

mobbed down there by Liverpool supporters and his team-mates. This

is hard to bear further Villa supporters.

Little more than a simple pass, Origi ran onto it and converted it.

4-0. Divock Origi celebrating what is only his second Premier League

goal, is fifth of the season in all competitions, and he had barely woke

up -- worked up a sweat. Villa struggling to get out of their own

half. That is two goals for Liverpool in the space of a little

over three minutes and there, Origi, caught by Westwood. The referee will

call Westwood across. That was reckless, dear me. Oh, now Clyne is

in. Clyne again. It is 5-0. And now the right back, Daniel Klein has got

in on the action. -- Nathaniel Clyne. Familiar themes of Liverpool

players celebrating. Liverpool are all over Aston Villa here. Clyne,

snaffling a second opportunity. Clyne sharp enough to be up in

position to score his first Premier League goal for Liverpool. 5-0, and

the Aston Villa supporters have seen their team conceded three goals in a

matter of minutes. We have had a chance of learner out, and now the

home supporters are leaving, and empty blue seats are appearing all

around Villa Park. Liverpool running free again. Last-ditch challenge

from Cissokho. Henderson to take. It is a corner this time. Driven

across. And then Toure exiting. And it is 6-0, Kolo Toure getting in on

the act with his first ever goal for Liverpool. This, for Aston Villa, is

verging on the embarrassing. Jurgen Klopp is not even bothering to

celebrate. As simple as that, Toure just lumbered into position and

headed it in. He didn't even need to get off the ground. This is a

terrible day for Aston Villa. Those who hadn't already left an hour off

in their droves. It has gone from bad to worse. -- those who hadn't

already left are now off. Now Sinclair. Villa's best moment of the

game, by a country mile. Lovely from Sinclair, right on the top corner of

the frame of the goal. I'm afraid that I am tempted to call it a St

Valentine's Day massacre. A clean sheet is great, six on the sheet is

great, the performance of the few players is great, first match of

Kevin Stewart in the Premier League is great. Daniel Sturridge is back

in the squad. Not too often, days like this, but today it was one of

these days and it was very good and very important. I am concerned I

feel humiliated, you know? I am sorry for the fans who went this

afternoon to Villa Park. I don't know exactly... Before the game, you

could expect that the levels of the two teams were not the same but

then, after 15 minutes, after quite a good 15 minutes, I don't know

exactly what happened. The first two goals were very difficult to

digestive and then my team didn't play any more. You have to play like

that every day, every game. You have so many talent in your team, and you

need consistency. Very good to play a game like that, but the next game

So many things great for Liverpool, particularly to have storage and

Coutinho back. Daniel Sturridge, if he is fit for the season, they are a

different side, certainly with Coutinho as well. He's always

looking at the number the second half -- centre-half. He finds his

face and he is clinical. I was unfortunate enough to be on the end

of two goals from Daniel Sturridge in a game he was fit for at Anfield

earlier in the season. He just slide past. Good composure here, Mark Bunn

making a good save. It was an easy day for him. 60 minutes was perfect

with the tempo of the game for him today. The real star is this genius.

All the big performances away from home, Chelsea, Man City, this one,

this man has been at the centre of everything. Look at the outside of

the footpath, the weight of the past. Origi has nothing to worry

about, just break it into his stride. He has got good body

movement, he scores goals. He has got everything, Coutinho. With P and

Sturridge fit, it is a different season. Liverpool, 12th in the

league before today. You could certainly say Aston Villa are not

world beaters. I doubt very many of their fans will be watching us this

evening, but they were abject. This is Sunderland against Manchester

United at home, trying to get out of the relegation zone. Look at the

tempo. United are a good side but they didn't show them any respect.

They gave the ball away there, but they have the tenacity to get it

back. Try and show United that you mean business. This was all in the

first 15, 20 minutes. They went on to win the game. Look at this early

on for Villa. You are always told to win your first challenge, but he

turned his back and loses it. That sets the tone. They were so passive.

This is in the Villa half. They are fighting for their lives. They had a

win last week and got everybody behind them for today. Liverpool

haven't been world beaters but they don't get near them, they don't get

a block or a tackle. Look how easy it is for Liverpool. It is like a

testimonial, it really is. This is at 05 -- 0-0, not like they are 4-0

down. It is all about survival. Look how high up the pitch they are. No

intensity to get up to the ball. Nobody organising them, nobody

telling them to get after anyone. When you let somebody of the quality

of Coutinho look up, pick a pass... He isn't going to turn that down.

Nobody on the pitch for Aston Villa can take any credit for their

performance. Joleon Lescott apologised on social media

afterwards for his and the rest of the team's commitment. When you are

a fan of a club, you can accept your players not playing well but you

expect when you are paying money their commitment. The ten games I

was at Villa, I never labelled that on the team, they always showed

commitment. They should eat all of the time. Today was very

disappointing for Aston Villa fans. -- they showed that all of the time.

36,000 turned up, they are bottom of the league and it is not looking

good. The way they set up was to try and contain Liverpool and keep a

good shape. But you have to press the ball at some point. They just

didn't involve themselves in the game. They didn't compete at all.

Time for a look at the best Saturday's action, starting in

north-east. The chance for Wahbi Khazri to get

the ball into the box. Tunisian international. Not an impressive

free kick, but it went in. Nothing on it and overweight through and in.

-- and all the way through and in. Great save, but turned in by Anthony

one. The worrying thing for Newcastle is that it wasn't even

their heaviest defeat of the season. They were awful today.

Do you look at Sunderland and Newcastle and sense that, with Sam

Allardyce, there is a self confidence that they can get

themselves out of it but there are self-doubts with McLaren in

Newcastle? I do, although Newcastle at home seem to have turned a bit of

a corner. But at Chelsea and Goodison Park, they have been

woeful. If I was to be straight, I would think Sunderland have got more

chance venues Castle -- than Newcastle, because of Sam Allardyce

and the fact they are prepared to put in a shift even when they are

not playing so well. Maybe Sunderland have more leaders in

their team? Newcastle, with the money that they spent in the window,

just Townsend, off and running, with that home form, with that crowd

behind them, the money they spend, they are safe. A feuding is to point

you towards over the coming week. The Champions League is back this

week. -- a few things. Next Britney -- next week it is the fifth round

of the cup. The rest of Saturday's action and

too bad, to come after a trip to Norwich in the company of former

striker Dean Ashton. One of the busiest memories I have

is Norwich going for the title with Jeremy Goss, the volleys against

Leeds and Liverpool and Bayern Munich. Norwich have taken the lead.

everything changed. My career and my life changed. In that one tackle, I

had to retire at age 25, which was incredibly difficult. It is

something I am not over yet. I am almost seven years down the line.

For me to get a chance to be a co-commentator, as I am today at

Carrow Road, with BBC radio Norfolk, is very special. Two of my old teams

are playing. I will have to try and sit on the fence and enjoy the game.

What is great is that my work is still involved in football, which I

brings played to a close. Norwich will see this as two points thrown

away. Well, what a tense second half here at Carrow Road. Points dropped

for Norwich, but West Ham showing again why they are top six

contenders. Dean Ashton mentioned the anxiety

when West Ham got one back. That is two games that Norwich have let two

goal lead slip at home. Can you get rid of that anxiety as manager? You

need to win to dispel it, otherwise it is very difficult. They think,

here we go again. You have got to stay strong. It will happen. They

will believe they can win football matches. Back-to-back wins are

crucial. Norwich need to start winning soon. Going forward, they

may not have an out and out goal-scorer, but they have players

capable of winning games. It is always that balance between having a

go, getting men forward and scoring goals, but keeping the back door

shut. They can't find that balance at the moment. Credit to West Ham

for their comeback after the extra time against Liverpool. That is it,

in a nutshell. They play 120 minutes pretty much as the same team. Then

they go to Norwich, go behind and still have the courage to go back

into the game. It is such an honest league, with top quality teams. We

should give a mention to Dean Ashton. You forget he was only 25

when he decided to call it a day. Came from Crewe like me. Would have

had a great career, but I am glad he is having his -- enjoying his work

now. Time for the rest of Saturday's action. We start in South Wales.

Long! And the side who won 1-0 on their last two visits to the Liberty

Stadium lead 1-0 again. Bournemouth need to be patient,

because they can get picked off on the counter. That is a good drive
