Now then, how do you like a story? COMMENTATOR: Oh, my goodness, that

is incredible! He scores. Incredible. You couldn't have

scripted this. It's in. So just how do you follow

the drama of last weekend? Well,

how about a bumper eight games, two huge derbies and, I promise you,

some absolutely world class goals. Joining me tonight - on another day

of watercooler moments in the Barclays Premier League -

Philip Neville and Ruud Gullit. We start at Hull, where Steve

Bruce's side faced Manchester City. Inconsistent is

the best word to describe the start made by these two, but the Champions

were in ominous goalscoring form COMMENTATOR: for Hull, Rosenior

comes in at right back. Elmohamady can play much further forward. Hull

are appingious to rid themselves of this annoying habit of getting into

winning positions and not winning. Aballero keeps his place in goal.

The champions have gone three Premier League games without a win.

That their worst run for 19-months. It's clearly one that they want to

alter this afternoon. Kompany, who was sent off in this fixture last

March, finds Mangala. An outstanding debut for Mangala, the French

defender, against Chelsea last Sunday. Zabaleta, suspended in

midweek. Huddlestone straight to Zabaleta. Aguero into the penalty

area. Milner is available. Aguero selfishly shot from an acute angle.

Dzeko was the right pass. Robertson, on the left wing now. Good ball into

the penalty area. Intercepted well by Manchester City. Zabaleta can

clear the danger. He has given the ball away. Here's Liverpool

Liverpool. Flag stays down. What an opportunity for Jelavic. A great

ball by Livermore. Jelavic really should have scored. Steve Bruce

knows it. Clichy, into it Aguero, left for Silva, Aguero again, the

pass wasn't intended for him. Ball breaks to Aguero, in the penalty

area. Knocked away by Hull, temporarily. Milner's cross, to the

far-post. Dawson, heads it up and away. Header down, Aguero shoots -

Manchester City into the lead in the seventh minute of the game. He had

an early chance in this match, Aguero, that was a wonderful finish,

right-footed. This time McGregor had no chance. They didn't get the ball

out of their penalty area. That was the problem. Zabaleta's header down.

What about that finish from Aguero? That wasn't easy. Ball dropping over

his right shoulder - the volley - superb! Zabaleta into Aguero.

The movement from Aguero is per terrific. -- terrific. Dzeko's third

of a season to add to Aguero's earlier goal. Both of them

magnificent strikes. After just 10 minutes, already Manchester City

surely out of sight. Two goals within five minutes. I think

McGregor may have got a touch on it - maybe not! It would have been hard

to stop that. Already, mans Chester city have equaled the two goals they

scored here last season. -- Manchester City.

Elmohamady, Rosenior, Rosenior does well. In a good position. Gets the

cross in. It's an own-goal! It's an own-goal off Mangala. An unexpected

goal for Hull City. I don't think, even though the cross was good, they

have could have expected it to end in the back of Caballero's net. The

keeper had no chance. Steve Bruce will be delighted that his team are

somehow back into this game. Here's Diame. Hernandez. Diame.

Hernandez, again. Goes down. Penalty! Mangala, again at fault. He

scored an own-goal, he's now conceded a penalty. The referee

could see that. The foot was very high, from Mangala. Hernandez who

will try to put Hull level which is scarcely believable, the way this

game has gone. I think he enjoyed that, and so did

the Hull fans. You know, I don't think Caballero has had a save to

make. He couldn't get anywhere near the penalty. He was beaten also by

an own-goal. Hull City 2, Manchester City 2, excellent penalty.

Yaya Toure, 35-yards out. On target - wonderful. The only thing wrong

with it was that it didn't go in. What a swing. Jelavic loses it.

Here's Silva. Dzeko to his left. Dzeko. Dzeko, good shot, 3-2,

Manchester City. Accuracy, rather than the strength of the shot was

the key. Left-footed, passed a stretching McGregor. Manchester

City, having been pegged back by Hull, are now in front once more.

Look at the accuracy of the shot. You don't have to belt it all the

time. The backheel to Ben Arfa. There's the cross in. A chance.

Goodness Caballero did well to push it out, even if he pushed it another

Hull player. If it was 3-3 as a result, no doubt I would be

criticised him. He made the save. Back towards Lampard, couldn't pick

it up. Dawson, for Hull, to Ben Arfa. Lots of sky blue shirts back.

Here's Huddlestone. Shot is deflected - over the crossbar. Very

close from Huddlestone, all it due to a deflection. Here's the earlier

chance. You should push it wide if you don't catch it - strictly

speaking! Milner. Lampard is available. Now Yaya

Toure. Yaya Toure. Onto Zabaleta, into the

penalty area. Is this number four? Pulls it back - guess who it is?

It's Frank Lampard, AGAIN! Four goals in a week from Frank Lampard.

He keeps getting into scoring positions. I don't care what his age

is, you can't eradicate that wonderful habit. Zabaleta was

unselfish. He knew where Lampard was. Lampard knew the area between

the post that he had to put the ball. The points are Manchester

City's. I wonder if I can keep him on-loan, says Pellegrini! We started

really well. We were very unlucky with the mistakes. It's normal in

some moments the team felt what happened. I think in the second-half

we continued to play the same way we started the game. We scored two

goals. We had three or four clear more chances. We gave ourselves a

mountain to climb they nearly blew us away in the first 10 minutes.

Maybe we showed too much respect for them. They have quality from back to

front. They caused us huge problems. To be fair to us, we stuck at it and

nearly retrieved something, which pleased me, it was a very difficult

beginning of the start of the game. That was good. 2-0 up, they were in

cruise control. We got our foot back in the game. We got in at half-time

2-2. We had belief in the dressing room at half-time. We started well,

the third goal for them killed us. Two very different goals am I had my

favourite. Which was yours? Every goal, every my goal is favourite for

me. The first one was great as well. Definitely, the second one was much

more important for the team. Second one, all day long, far more

enjoyable those kind of goals. Topsy-turvy affair. Exciting stuff.

Manchester City were dominant? Yeah. They gave them a good game. They are

favourites. If you are 2-0 up, you can't give that away. I think they

were a little bit sloppy there. I think that you could tell more about

that, Phil. The comeback spared the blurbs of Mangala, he had a poor

day? He had a poor day. Considering how well he played against Costa I

expected more from him. City were 2-0 up. Rosenior went down the right

hand side much he gets in the wrong position. As Rosenior goes down the

side here he thinks he is unlucky. Look at Kompany, ready to open out

his body to clear that ball away. Mangala is looking at his own-goal.

He is in the wrong position. As the the ball comes in there is only one

place it can go, skids off his head and in for an own-goal. A penalty?

Certain penalty. Too tight to Hernandez. Clumsy tackle. Kompany is

coming round and mopping up the danger. This was in the second-half.

He is ungainly at times. Sloppy in possession. Only here, where he gets

himself, his feet tangled up. The pace gets him out of trouble. This

summed his day. This taught him a lesson about the English Premier

League, there is no easy games in the English Premier League.

Hernandez, for Hull, gave him a difficult game. You come into the

English league and think things will be quite comfortable. It can get you

mentally. He came from the Portuguese league where they have

four or five games and the rest are pretty easy. In the Premier League

there are no easy games. Technical, the fact that he gets confidence,

they play him all the time. You can see in all the touches that he has,

that he feels confident. His first goal, also here, gets the ball. He

knows where he is going. Going inside. Very short - BANG! Smashes

it. This confidence, Negredo has gone. Competition for him. Wonderful

goal. This goal is difficult. You think he's in a position, you think

- he's not going to score any more. He tumbles almost. Ball bounced

over. This is the one. You said it already, the striker loves. Yeah.

The winning goal. Hull will be judged by teams around them more

than Manchester City? The ping thing for Steve Bruce they showed the

spirit they had last season that kept them in the Premier League.

Yes. After their hammering at Leicester

last Sunday, nothing but three points would do for Louis

van Gaal's Manchester United, trying to arrest their worst ever

start to a Premier League season. But in-form West Ham arrived

hunting another big scalp. Wayne Rooney is marking ten years at

Manchester United. 19-year-old Paddy McNair has his debut.

Hammers are without Mark Noble. So there is a Premier League debut for

Diego Poyet. Raphael taking advantage there and there is the

cross. Rooney! The skipper has shown the way after only four and a half

minutes. He is getting nearer and nearer to the Manchester United

goal-scoring records of B Charlton -- Bobby Charlton. Releasing Rafael,

West Ham unable to pick up Rooney. Rafael had his unlucky moment at

Leicester, but this is made up for that. Dear me. Loss of concentration

cost them at Leicester, and look at this. That was a poor pass back, and

Valencia nearly scores the equaliser.

Is this a case of Adrian save in the corner? It is. Now Falcao might

benefit from that challenge. And van Persie scores! His 50th goal for

Manchester United. West Ham really caught out here in possession. That

was a good challenge by Herrera, and then van Persie, who had Rooney as a

decoy. But he didn't need him. Another deadly piece of finishing,

and Manchester United have taken a firm hold here. I should think he is

as happy now as he was when they were 3-1 up at Leicester. Enough

said. Diafra Sakho is waiting in the centre.

And the header is in! It is Diafra Sakho, and West Ham have got

something back. It is 2-1 at Old Trafford, Sam Allardyce's team back

in it. Tomkins was in there. And when it came back off the bar,

Diafra Sakho was in there. And suddenly people are perhaps starting

to think about Leicester again. This is Blind to Falcao. In it goes again

to Falcao. Diego Poyet slipped. Falcao brings a

great save out of goalkeeper Adrian. I am sure that the message at

half-time would have been, be careful. And David De Gea makes the

kind of save which got him the Player of the Year award here last

year, because Diafra Sakho could quite easily have made it 2-2 there.

Sam Allardyce must still be sensing the possibility of a point here.

It is about time that Manchester United got up to that end of the

pitch. Van Persie's effort was blocked, and

it is another corner to Manchester United. That was aimed at Herrera,

in fact, and it has come back to Luke Shaw. That wasn't a good ball,

and West Ham could break here. And that is Rooney. Oh, he is off! He is

off! Extraordinary. The red card came out there. Well, here we have

nothing short of a sensation. Wayne Rooney, the cap in of England and

the cap in of Manchester United has been shown a red card by referee Lee

Mason. This will be the headline tomorrow. And it will also be a

suspension. He had is coming in behind here and has caught him quite

high with the outstretched foot. Well, it is a kick and it has gone

into the wrong place. And not for the first time, Wayne Rooney sees

red. I wonder what the England manager makes of that Wayne Rooney

incident. Creswell. Valencia. Now, Falcao has gone very heavily into

Poyet. And another opportunity for Diafra Sakho. His goal was the 40th

goal for West Ham, the last player to do that was in 1988. Now, that is

Diafra Sakho who fouled Rafael. The card is coming out now. Yellow. The

home fans don't like that after what happened to Wayne Rooney. Hard to

tell from that angle quite how bad that was. But it is a trip. The

Manchester United supporters predictably don't think much of Lee

Mason's decision. We will see what he has to say afterwards.

Sliding in towards Carlton Cole. Can he get a shot in? No, he can't. And

this is Jenkinson. And Nolan! Offside. Offside. Kevin Nolan

thought he had scored the equaliser. Jenkinson has done so

well at right back since he came on. I think from the angle we've got,

the assistant referee was right. It came in the 89th minute. What a

story that would have been. Kevin Nolan on his return. It is hard at

that stage when you have worked so hard to get back into the game, to

have the decision taken away by the assistant referee, it shouldn't have

been that decision. Everything changed earlier in the second half

when we went down to ten men. The second half was different because we

had to fight and keep the win. And we did, so I'm very proud. I think

they all rely that they were let off lightly. You could see as the

linesman made the decision, he is blowing. They have got it wrong

massively, and we haven't got the draw we deserve.

And after the game, I spoke to Louis van Gaal. Louis, how important was

it for your season that you held onto that result today? Very

important. When you lose a game at home, and I think we played a very

good first half, it was very attractive football. Only we

conceded again a goal in a set play, and we know that West Ham United

have already scored a lot of times out of set plays. But maybe you can

watch on your television screen that maybe number 15 makes a foul against

David De Gea, not in the first contact but in the second contact,

and then the goalkeeper is in the five metres anti-Islamic ground. We

will certainly -- is laying on the ground.

What did you think of Wayne Rooney being sent off? He makes a

professional foul, I think, you could call it like that. Only he did

it may be too unfriendly. But he did it. You can give a red card. How

have you found the Premier League? Does it surprise you with the

overall strengths of many of the teams? I think the rhythm of the

game is very high. You cannot comp area it with Germany and Spain, I

believe. There is all this pressure on the ball, and I think also that

most of the English teams are playing physically, and we have to

keep the ball more easily, and then we can improve much more all play.

Are you enjoying it? Of course! Yes. Thank you for taking the time out to

talk to us. Well done on the win. OK.

It was an important win in many ways for Manchester United, especially

with what happened last week. But the most relieved person will

possibly be Wayne Rooney. It is the big story of the day. In the first

half, he was outstanding. Such a great technique. This was in the

second half, and when he made this file, I thought to myself, United

must be in trouble at the back. But as we turn the camera around, they

are four on two. I just think it is a reckless tackle, particularly when

they are in such good positions at the back and there is no need to

make the foul. Unfriendly, according to van Gaal. Was it a so-called

professional foul? He could have just trip team, but he lashes. No

complaints? None at all. Sometimes he gets these moments in his career.

He missed the beginning of 2012 because he made a foul in a

professional match. Sam Allardyce wasn't happy about the disallowed

goal. It is incredibly tight. What did you make of it? I think it is

offside, because his wadi is in front of everyone. When I saw the

goal, I thought immediately it was offside, but it was very tight. Look

at the moment. His head is in front. It is harsh, but it is offside. You

can say that the linesman saw it well. The difference between success

and failure is fractions. Exactly. Sometimes that decision will go for

you, but today it was against. Louis van Gaal asked us to look at

this goal. So let's do it. Here, he is not there. He talks about the guy

who makes the goal. I think he talks about that because he said, not the

first one. Can we see it again? We can do anything! He said it was the

second foul will stop here, nothing happens, and then somebody bashes

him. That is more of a goalkeeping mistake, isn't it? Yes, no foul. And

Paddy McNair, his debut, he did well. This was the moment of the

match for me, how he managed to clear that and stop it being a goal

was amazing. I think this is the best West Ham team I have seen for a

long time. Maybe he should show Mangala how he cleared that!

Amidst the drama of last weekend, Chelsea lost their 100% record

while Aston Villa came unstuck for the first time against Arsenal.

Jose Mourinho believes it's a risk worth taking. Guzan should expect a

busy afternoon and will be hoping it's not as painful as two years

ago, when he conceded eight goals here. Chelsea's 4,000th league

match. Their 2,000th here at Stamford Bridge. How do you keep

this Chelsea quiet? Aguero Cissokho free to his left. --

Agbonlahor, Cissokho free to his left. Well defended by John Terry,

floor by Christmas, the rate of growth this season. Everything for

sight of goal that one. A bit too much time for Willian. A peach of a

ball in. Diego Costa looking to flick that beyond Brad Guzan. Aston

Villa finished 15th in the table last season. Four points above the

relegation zone. Many anticipating they would struggle again this

season with the platform they have established in the opening five

games, it shouldn't be all doom and gloom. Good strike. Courtois not

required in the end. For a moment there, we were wondering whether we

were about to see a shot from Delph. Samuel L Jackson has enjoyed what he

has seen here. In towards Diego Costa. For once, he

found room, but still that unairing finish that we saw time and time

again in August. It's not there this afternoon. Part one of Paul

Lambert's gameplan has worked well. Defended well, frustrated Chelsea,

restricted them to a handful of efforts on goal. Part two of the

plan is to make more of the set-pieces. That hasn't borne fruit

as of yet. Willian, a couple of back flicks it's Azpilicueta's cost.

Diego Costa. 2-0 Chelsea. Rarely does he fail to deliver. He looked

laboured in the first half. When it matters, Diego Costa comes to life.

Goal number eight in the Premier League, for the summer purchase from

Real Madrid. Diego Costa found space. Villa, who had been tight on

him throughout the afternoon, left him unmarked there. How he's made

them pay. A couple of cheeky backheels here to

keep the ball moving. Diego Costa finds the kind of touch that he was

looking for. Now, Chelsea, two in front, and the afternoon looks a lot

healthier, from their point of view. Ivanovic. He has found Hazard. Diego

Costa. It might run here for Oscar. Excellent work Cissokho. An own-goal

last week against Liverpool. He prevented his team from going three

behind. The referee could have blown for that challenge there. Play

continued. Touched it around the goalkeeper. But for Cissokho, that

Hazard. Made him look foolish there. Again, Costa. Couldn't quite get his

forehead to it. That is the end of the afternoon, as far as Eden Hazard

is concerned. Hazard had Hutton on toes here. How close was Diego Costa

to find the touch required to make it 3-0, Chelsea. Here is the

Spaniard. Bearing down on Senderos. Taking his time. Blocked by Guzan,

in by Willian. His first goal of the season. Sent off when these sides

met at Villa Park, back in March. Now, he can smile against the same

opposition. Don't think the game and the outcome of this was in any doubt

anyway. It's never a bad thing to find a third goal. Patience from

Diego Costa, blocked by Guzan, off the knee of Cissokho. A good assist

by Willian. Chelsea have their 19th goal of the season. They have their

16th point of the season. Chelsea 3, Aston Villa 0. The team played very

well. Played so solid and even when the result was 1-#0shgs which is a

result that keeps everything open, the team was so solid and controlled

so well the game that it was never in down doubt our victory. It

doesn't get easier. Have you another big boy next week in Manchester City

in? City? Manchester City and Chelsea are going to vie for the

title domestically and vie for the European title. That is how strong

the two teams are. I don't think we disgraced ourselves. Tell me about

Diego Costa, what has he made of life in England? He is happy to be

here and he's a good player. He's a funny, joking every time. I'm happy

to play with him. To be first by September is it crucial? Of course

not. It's better than be chasing. If you ask me - do I prefer to be

three-points in front or three-points behind, I prefer to be

three-points in front. I bet. Diego Costa never struck me as a jokey,

funny kind of guy? No. Good to hear that input from the player. Your

former club, impressive. Strong performance? I watched a couple of

things. You can see, when Chelsea has the ball, everybody parks the

bus in front. The whole team is on their own half. Not much space. They

try, with patience, try to do something. Look how many players are

behind the ball of Aston Villa? Everybody plays at Stamford bridge.

This is the difference of Chelsea. How they get the ball back. Every

time they put them under pressure. They don't give them the possibility

to do anything. They try long ball, short ball, whatever. You can see

everybody is back. They try to find holes. Good run by Willian. You

know, he thinks - OK, can I cross it. No, I can't. Get a goal. Lucky

to get it back. Back to Oscar. Great goal. This is how it starts. I love

this goal. I love the fact they are getting playable. Again, how many

bodies of the opposition are back? They still find spaces. One touch

here. Look at the position of Diego Costa. He stays away. Makes a little

dummy, comes in front of him. Up, it's a great goal. I love this goal.

This is Chelsea. When the opposition is going forward, then they have

also the possibility to go for counter-attack. They just wait for

the right moment. Good ball by Fabregas. He should have scored this

goal. Look. Dummy. It's fantastic. This is the Chelsea I love to see.

This is the Chelsea that's hard to beat. The hard work, what they do

without the ball that makes them very strong. They will take some

stopping this season. Aston Villa, after a ter terrific start, tough

games for them? They are in a real tough, tough patch of games at the

moment, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, City to come.

What better match to kick start their seasons than the

Brendan Rodgers haven't lost three in a row in the league for

Spare a thought for Martin Atkinson. If you think the players have it

tough in a game like this, he is going to put in one heck of a shift.

He will get things wrong. You need to have eyes everywhereas a referee,

on a day likes this. Gareth Barry, again. In the book. Possible

handball in the box. And the hook afterwards. No, no, Mario, it's

surely too far out. Steven Gerrard will have told him that. No, have a

go, Mario. Oh, good go. Will he ever stop surprising us? Might just have

crept wide. Tim Howard couldn't take that chance. Gerrard, with the

corner it is going into, but it still takes some keeping out.

This is his 32nd Merseyside Derby appearance, puts him equal with

Kevin Ratliff. Lukaku couldn't get high enough. He

mistimed his jump. Sterling over, Balotelli, off the bar! He seems to

be arguing with Tim Howard saying, why will you in my way? Howard was

doing his job. He claims a corner, says there was a touch from the

Everton goalkeeper. It does hit Howard, you know. Balotelli did have

an argument. It just happened so quickly. It would have been a really

good spot from the referee to have seen Nat.

Mignolet stayed back. Barry is in the box. Jagielka! That is amazing!

Phil Jagielka nearly takes the net off. What a fabulous goal. In injury

time, Everton are a level of Liverpool. What a strike it is from

the cap tin. Sometimes, it's just comes off, doesn't it? Should

Mignolet have come from the cross? It is headed away, but only to

Jagielka who just thought, thump! It is nice when you do scorer goal, as

I don't score too often, it does mean something. It was a team effort

today. Tim Howard had a good game between the sticks. This was a real

start for our season, what we want in terms of character and mentality.

We want to get a positive result will become places like here. The

trouble was we never got more than one goal, and then that leaves you

open one off strike like that, and in fairness to Jagielka, it an

incredible strike. The performance level, I think everyone can see we

were the better team. Lampard last week, Jagielka and yourself this

week, it is old warhorse is. We hear too much about how we are over the

hill and we can't run any more, but I think as those players have shown,

there is still plenty of life left. There is life in the old dog left!

It was his central defending partner that caught your eye. I thought he

gave a complete defensive performance. This was in the first

Everton deserve this today. That was one of the best performances I have

Mario Balotelli is feeling his way back into Premier League football.

He defies opinion -- divides opinion. You think? He has

composure, opens to the other side, he was available, trying to work

hard. Tackles, goes up front again, doesn't lie on the floor. He was

energetic. He is really trying. This was the beginning of the free kick

with the goal. He is surrounded only by Everton players, keeps the ball.

He gets out of it, then gets a free kick, and look at his mate. He gives

a compliment saying, this is great work. He goes back here, works his

socks off. This is probably the new Balotelli. This is a great save by

Howard, should have been a goal. He was there. And if he can continue

doing this, maybe we get the best out of him. The person who used to

sit in that chair, he couldn't take the Balotelli. What about you? I

couldn't. I have never been a fan of his, but I saw signs today that

Brendan Rodgers was beginning to get him to play for the team, and not

for Mario Balotelli. OK. Just the one game in the

Premier League tomorrow, but it's a crucial one for both teams.

There's been little of that free-flowing football from QPR this

Southampton fans will feel that that is exactly what they deserve stop

Pelle, and Tadic is on this side. They keep the ball in play. Arriving

late is Steven Davies. And Tadic again! Southampton so close to

getting two goals in quick succession. It somehow stayed out.

Hoilett. Holds off play. Charlie Austin! Equalises. It was a

brilliant goal from the QPR number nine, and it draws Rangers back on

level terms at one apiece. Hoilett and the substitute with the run

forward. And how about this for control and turn from Charlie

Austin. Look at his body position here. Completely facing away from

goal. But turns through 180 degrees and that is a smart volley past the

goalkeeper. QPR's first goal on the road this season, and the first that

Southampton have conceded at St Mary's.

Pelle! Extraordinary! Extraordinary from Graziano Pelle. And Southampton

are back in front. Pelle gets his fifth goal of the season. And if

Charlie Austin's goal was spectacular, then so was this. One

touch to control and then one touch to fire it past Robert Green in the

QPR goal. Two goals of the highest quality inside a couple of minutes

here at St Mary's, and this match has suddenly set them into life.

offensive qualities, but in a difficult second half, to keep the

spirit and the belief and the character to finally win the game,

and I think that was a very good compliment, and a nice complement to

the boys. At 1-1, you think you have every chance in the game, and it

could have swung either way. I believe in myself. The trainer

believes in me. And it is nice for the supporters to be on my side. We

are playing amazing football and enjoying the moment. It is a credit

to us that the other team scores and we are upset with that, but we take

pride in keeping a clean sheet. We have one of the best records this

season. So we were really hurt by that. But it's spurred us on to get

another, and we could have had a few more.

Thrilling game particularly the second-half. Two wonderful goals. We

have to see the first one. Austin. It's the ease. He takes the ball

here. OK, I'm here. OK. I have to go that way, anyway. His first touch is

unbelievable. Unbelievable goal. What do you think of it, Phil? The

way he turned on-the-spot. Almost like slow motion. This second goal,

I actually thought this was a better goal than the first because it is

his first touch there. It almost tees him up for that great finish.

Great finish. In Italy you would, as a defender, immediately grab your

head. Maybe the referee get the free-kick. He was just standing

there. Unbelievable. Great goal, Pelle. He had a marvellous season,

scored a lot of goals. People were doubting about the fact in Holland

he could score goals, now you would see it. He did it. Good for him. A

goal fitting of Pele with one "L." Yes. Southampton define logic in

many ways? I tipped them to go down at the start of the season. They

have been impressive. Bought well, brought players in - Would you like

to issue a public apology? Sigh? I have done that before. They are not

When you go 1-0 down it's tough to say you won't take a point. I would

have loved to have won that one. You smashed it? In? I nearly missed, to

be fair. First time in 20 years we had so much possession against

Tottenham. They couldn't come out. On top of that we were 1-0 down. Our

mental aspect was tested, of course, but I cannot fault my team. We were

defending well. After play to striker with Chadli and Adebayor we

surprise them. Last week we lost. We didn't play well. Today, we can say

we were very organised, as a team we fight for each other. That's very

important for the group spirit. We have one point away at the Emirates.

Not that bad. Much valued point for Spurs Phillip. How do you think

Pochettino is set ling in and changing the style of Tottenham? If

you loo look at Pochettino last year, they played with intensetive

and played high up the field. He had to change that tactic a little bit.

He got men behind the ball. He looked to counter-attack. He looked

to counter-attack with speed. Arsenal give the ball away. Look at

Lamela, Chadli and Adebayor counter-attacking with speed. A

sloppy pass that didn't put Adebayor on. 10 people behind the ball now.

They are waiting for Arsenal to make the mistake to counter-attack with

speed. If you look at the run. This is fantastic. Someone who wants to

score a goal thatch is top speed by a Pochettino team. -- that is top

speed by a Pochettino team. They were the better team in the first

Every time he gets the ball I think he will be direct. He will go past

players. He has a low sense of gravity. Great speed. All the way

through the game he caused problems. This was the icing on the cake for

him. This dummy? Yes. Great dummy from Danny Welbeck. He stuck it in

the back of the net. Arsenal have some of the best English talent

around. I think Arsenal, they play well, but also because Tottenham

allowed them to play well. When they had to, when the pace was higher,

all of a sudden you see Arsenal is much Once they go better. A goal

behind? Yes. You can't play 90 minutes like that. They have to

change the rhythm of the game sometimes. If they can do it, also

Leicester City produced one of the shock results in Premier

That 5-3 comeback win against Manchester United somewhat

overshadowing Crystal Palace's excellent victory at Goodison.

Crystal Palace are aiming for a first home win of the season.

of the game, and Nugent puts the follow-up wide. Should Jamie Vardy

just have hinted here? Instead he took a nice touch, but with Palace

bodies throwing themselves at the ball, it created a bit of a wall

Ferguson which connects in down the pitch side, whether messages are

the lead in the early stages of the second half. Frazier Campbell scored

on the road last week, and scores at home today. Scott Dann's initial

header, and the crucial touch, just a yard or so off the line comes from

Campbell. That is poacher's instinct, and that is a Palace lead.

Hammond definitely got the last touch on that, so I'm not quite sure

how you can claim the throw. And that is a free kick for the home

side, it is Morgan on Bolasie. Morgan has just got too much of his

left arm up there. A chance to win a left footed free kick into the box.

faithful are delighted. What a well-placed header that is from

in charge. We said at half-time, we were nervous in the second half. I

thought the wide men could win us the game, Bolasie and Puncheon. Is

the disappointing to lose to set plays. We don't like to lose at all,

but the fashion in which we conceded, the momentum today was a

bit disappointing for us. I am buzzing. I don't often say that too

much. I am happy to help out the team wherever I can, and to get a

goal again today in front of our home supporters is fantastic.

Two set pieces, two similar goals. If you don't have enough quality on

the pitch, these things can help. I remember in my days against

Wimbledon, they were dangerous. Here, scrambling, a lot of bodies in

front of you, and this is very good, the delivery. I think Neil Warnock

will be working so hard on set pieces, because they are a team to

work against. They have good delivery and pace in wide areas. I

think they are a dangerous team to play against.

Leicester have had a good start, they walloped you last week. I have

watched a lot of Leicester. They have so much energy in the team.

This is almost like, welcome to the Premier League.
