Hello, the Barclays Premier League is back and again it doesn't

disappoint. Over the next 90 minutes, eight crucial games for

you. 27 goals in eight games, we have the

Messi and Soares of the Match of the Day team with us, Shearer and Ian

Wright. Brilliant and bite, you can work out which is which. Knowledge

has started to believe survival is a possibility, starting the day just

outside the bottom three and three points ahead of their opponents,

Newcastle. Jonathan Pearce is that Carrow Road. COMMENTATOR: Positive

result against Palace and Sunderland would elevate knowledge to safety

but defeat for Newcastle would see them looming closer to relegation.

Martin is sidelined so wisdom comes in. Newcastle forced to give Karl

Darlow only a second Premier League outing in goal after Rob Elliott was

injured on international duty. Jack Colback is banned and Anita will

fill in we believe. Seven away points in Newcastle this season.

Only seven goals away from home, the lowest in the top flight. Good

header on and just over, that is what he can do, Papiss Cisse back on

the side and that is what Newcastle are looking for. Missed three months

with injury but looked sharp there. This I would think is the hardest

job of his managerial career. Jonny Howson, Mbokani, it knowledge have

the lead but it is ruled out. He went to early and was caught by the

assistant's flag and the work is undone. Mbokani just needed to look

along the line. Norwich should have been ahead. That is a poor ball out.

Naze myth stealing the yard, terrific, really good save. Back in

the middle, Mbokani there again but wide. Norwich should have been

ahead, he has kept Newcastle in it, the understudy goalkeeper has saved

Newcastle with a terrific stop. One minute stoppage to play. The wayside

still in it. The free kick here, pushed by Cheick Tiote. Last chance

of the half. Brady from Norwich to swing it in from the edge of the

box, Mbokani in there with him, and it comes, 1-0 Norwich. They take the

lead. Newcastle's shaky defence let him go in stoppage time at the end

of the first half. That could prove so precious for Norwich City. He has

looked dangerous since joining the club at set pieces and get his first

goal and Norwich lead on half-time. Could be a huge goal. Townsend, has

been on the periphery of the game. Delayed the first ball in, Perez was

dangerously on the shoulder of wisdom. Towns and rolling inside,

gets the shot away, oh, wide. Would not have counted anyway, he was

offside. A suck of the cheeks from the Newcastle boss. Is he on? He is

onside, that made that they horrible miss them. Always a splash of colour

in the spring, Newcastle, Black and Whites. Townsend, decent delivery,

Mitrovic. It has been coming and Norwich only have themselves to

blame. That could prove a game changer and a seasoned changer.

Mitrovic equalises. He got ahead of his defender, Norwich let him go and

looped the header in, 1-1, game on and the relegation rat race once

again looks feisty. That is a risky position to give away a free kick.

Does make some strange decisions. This sort of position at the end of

the first half, Norwich took the lead. Brady float it in, better

defending this time around. Back inside, squeezes through, on the

turn, comes out Jonny Howson, charged down by Townsend. Here is

Mbokani. Good chance, it should have been in. Tried to readjust, it clear

his feet but it was blocked, Newcastle stayed in, Mbokani onside,

can he get the shot away? It is a belter, Norwich City back ahead.

Newcastle are level for three minutes and they stood and stared

and invited Norwich onto them. Mbokani made them pay. Rolling

inside into the gap and hammered it. First goal since January, it has

been an emotional ten days for him, he scores a goal that means that

much. Look at that. Sissoko down the line. Wisdom has had a decent game.

Perez. High into the box, looking for Papiss Cisse. That is a penalty.

Almost point-blank range but the referee was well positioned. The

question, could he have got out of the way? Gary O'Neil with the touch.

Well, well, they have given Newcastle a route back into this

game. And who knows how costly that could prove. Mitrovic for his second

goal of the game. It is in, the keeper got very close to it, what

the change he has made, they believe and he has given them new belief.

Expertly done. Norwich have had this failure this season to put games to

bed at Carrow Road. Taylor back, Papiss Cisse, what a save. Splendid

goalkeeping. That save could yet keep Norwich in the division. He had

to stretch every inch of his six feet four. Brilliant goalkeeping.

Terrific entertainment for the neutral. He is Redmond, Sissoko

should force and out wide, got the cross in. Whips the cross back into

the middle, Brady, will it come towards Jonny Howson, Martin Olsson!

Unbelievable. This isn't happening, man who has not scored September

2014. Would you believe it? A suspicion of handball there but kept

his nerve and his discipline. What about the technique here in the

shot. Low, hard, precise. 3-2 on delirium at Carrow Road. Going over

to the right hand side, Norwich have won. Three huge points and for

Newcastle United, this will be a dagger to the very heart. Such an

unlikely goal-scorer, Martin Olsson, after Newcastle had twice clawed

their way back into it through Mitrovic. Norwich are edging nearer

to safety. Strange game because we were the better team throughout the

game and deserved to hold the lead on two occasions but it seemed at

the end as if we had failed to capitalise on a game that I felt we

should have won. It looked like it would end a draw but then we got the

winning goal in the 93rd minute. We just said to keep going, we knew we

were going to create something that is what we did. I said I didn't

fancy him at all, a freeze-frame of where's the ball going, I would have

said wide of the right post all day. It was nice. Today, we conceded in

the, after the last minute in the first half. And the reaction the

second half was good, and at 2-2, we had control of the game.

Disappointed because I felt the team was working hard enough for winning

games. Are you saying you did that on purpose? It was not good for me I

can assure you. Anyone at the game has gone home with their money 's

worth which is great. I am delighted for our supporters because we are

starting to turn it around, three games, picking up seven points after

a poor run for us which was disappointing. We need to build on

that now. Wheldon Road, entertaining to watch Alan Shearer watching this

game this afternoon, did Norwich deserve the three points? They

probably did because they were up for it for 90 minutes rather than

45, unlike Newcastle. Newcastle did not perform at all in the first

half, could not get to grips with Norwich, particularly Naismith.

Newcastle were not repaired to send anyone out, they had two sitting

midfielders, Cheick Tiote and Jonjo Shelvey and he caused them problems

for the whole game, it they gave him far too much space and Norwich

worked well, they should have had two or three goals in the first half

and only got one. I was screaming at the TV for someone to pick him up,

look at the space he is in time and again in the first half. Four

defenders, it eventually comes to Brady, he is free, far too much

space to give Newcastle and they got punished. And they just could not

cope with him at all and the pace of him. He was clever, cute. Running in

behind, a good ball, brilliant how people sit across and he should

score. A very good save but brilliant from Norwich. They

deserved it. What changed for the Newcastle perspective? Piller row

much better. I am sure Rafa Benitez said they had to get ten yards

further up the pitch, he took off Cheick Tiote and brought an Perez,

and got the full-backs onto the pitch, the left-back, you now have

three or four players into the box, he brought an Mitrovic with half an

hour to go. I was very surprised he didn't start with him. I know he had

been on international duty and may have been carrying an injury but he

changed the game. Because of the full-backs and people in the box,

they could put the ball in there and had a threat in the area. Jonjo

Shelvey, again, ten yards further up and instead of getting it from the

centre halves and trying to spray 60 or 70 yard passes, he was better in

the second half. You have bodies in the box again and Mitrovic has been

a nuisance in there. He caused problems when he came on. Janmaat is

further up, good ball from Townsend and a good header, they got

themselves back into the game. Better going forward, but still

problems for Newcastle at the other end. Only Aston Villa have conceded

more problems, one of the reasons they are staring at the

Championship. You can't give anyone a free header from six yards out.

Mbemba should be picking from close up but he's not. Unacceptable to

have that amount of room in the box so close to goal. This is worse,

Mbokani gets the ball and Janmaat has to close him down. He doesn't,

but he can't allow him to cut inside. He already has taken three

touches with his right foot, has to show him down the line. Can't allow

him to come inside, and I don't know what the goalkeeper should be doing,

should save that. Norwich kept on going, and I think this is handball,

hitting Jonny Howson's hand twice. But a great strike from Martin

Olsson. The referee should see that, once there, and again, should have

been a free kick. But Newcastle getting themselves back in the game

and then defending like they did, that's why they are sharing at that

-- staring at the Championship. We will let Ian Wright speak. Norwich,

seven points from nine, suddenly in good shape. They are fighting for

their lives and they no they are in a real fight and making a good fist

of it. Spurs are chasing the title, and they needed three points against

Liverpool to keep Leicester in their sights. Could they improve their

Anfield record of just one win in the last 21 league visits? Conte two

Spurs' job is to see if Leicester City have a pressure point. The

league leaders will be watching the action closely. Spurs hoping to win

at an field, something they have rarely found straightforward.

Liverpool's chances of finishing in the top watch row are all but over.

Destination Dortmund on Thursday but no thinking of that in the team

selection with Henderson and James Milner returning, Daniel Sturridge

leading the line. Erik Lamela injured his calf on international

duty and Son comes in. Their only change. Harry Kane on 21 has as many

Premier League goals this season as Liverpool's top three scorers

combined. Spurs played a Uefa cup semifinal here in 1973. Difficult to

think they have played as crucial a game on this pitch since. Searching

ball from Danny Rose, a great ball for Kyle Walker. Four in the middle

for Tottenham. Son gets away from Emre Can with his first touch,

Eriksen with a great hit. Ericsson's effort against the

woodwork would not have counted. -- Eriksen's. The first one would have

done. Mignolet with the Parry, and when it comes to Son, he's clearly

offside. No foul by Kevin Wimmer on Lallana.

Henderson for Liverpool. Sturridge is sniffing in the middle. Cut out

by Son, and it's a smart save from Lloris to prevent the own goal. Son

here, he felt he had to do something to cut it out, certainly didn't mean

to do that. The teams at the moment looked very evenly matched. Small

margins might decide this game. Mistake from Sakho. This Harry Kane

go alone? Right across the face of Simon Mignolet. Eriksen couldn't

reach it at the far post. Mistake from Sakho and Tottenham on to it,

pouncing immediately. Harry Kane almost had to many options. In the

end, did neither one thing nor the other.

Well played from Coutinho to Sturridge. On the side and it's a

good save from Lloris. Really big chance on Daniel Sturridge on his

favourite side and he didn't test Hugo Lloris anything like as much as

he would have wanted to. You would expect Sturridge to score from here.

Clearly onside. The Frenchman must have feared the worst but actually

made a fairly comfortable save. Harry Kane away from Sakho. Dele

Alli to his left. Harry Kane... Great block from Lovren. Tremendous

block. Potentially a big moment in the game. It was a really good

opportunity for Harry Kane. He has Dele Alli to his left hand side and

ignored him. Great challenge from Lovren.

Good ball from Coutinho. Lallana turned away from Sturridge.

Lallana's shot, and it's a tremendous save from Lloris.

Danny Rose is pulling Sturridge's shirt, but the save from Lloris was

made harder by the fact Lallana didn't hit it right.

Sturridge to Coutinho, nice. Passed into the back of the net by Philippe

Coutinho! It's an exceptional finish by Liverpool's little Brazilian.

It's a wonderful goal. All that is best about Liverpool seems to

involve this man again. It's such a good finish. Liverpool 1-0 Tottenham

Hotspur. Philippe Coutinho with a goal of high quality again. And now

what do Tottenham Hotspur have in their locker? Because they are

behind at Anfield. Driven to Sturridge! Coutinho and

Sturridge combine again, this time Coutinho to Daniel Sturridge. He did

everything he could to try to get over it and head it back across but

couldn't get over it enough. Alderweireld for Tottenham. Not a

bad idea. Eriksen does well. Great turn by Harry Kane, and a brilliant

goal by Harry Kane! He's done it again. When Tottenham are looking

for a goal, up steps Harry Kane. Credit to Christian Eriksen, because

he chased this all the way, did ever so well to keep it in play. But look

at that from Kane, it's fantastic. Brilliantly done. There's nothing to

aim at. Liverpool 1-1 Tottenham. Harry Kane.

Eriksen's shot, and it's a really good save from Mignolet. It's an

outstanding save by the Liverpool goalkeeper. Really well struck by

Christian Eriksen, and Mignolet got a big hand on it.

This is being played at a furious pace now. Good ball, Henderson, it

takes a ricochet off a Tottenham boot for a Liverpool corner. A

reflection of Liverpool's season, they have not won back home Premier

League games all season. Coutinho's corner, out by Alderweireld.

Henderson hit that well. It comes back to Coutinho, who is

onside. Coutinho takes on Walker and oh! The ball is still in play. How

that didn't end up in the back of the Tottenham net, he phrased it

across goal. What a lift for Tottenham if they could win here,

having been a goal down to Coutinho. -- he fizzed it. They would give

everything they have to see a ricochet off somebody's backside

into the back of the Liverpool net. What a journey home it would be.

Sakho on the volley away. Dembele through the crowd and tipped away by

Mignolet. Another good save by Mignolet. Hit well by M Bailey, and

it was just about on target. It needed saving. The whistle goes and

Pochettino's reaction is to punch the turf. It's a point, but his

immediate reaction implies he feels it's two lost. I think it's two

lost. We wanted to come here and get three points to put the pressure on

Leicester. From a goal down we did well to come back into the game and

create chances. It's a shame we couldn't get the second goal. You

took Philippe Coutinho to Espanyol from Inter Milan. You know him well.

I know him very well. He was 18, and we took him from Inter Milan and he

spent time with us at Espanyol. It was good to see him again. But a bit

disappointed with him, because why?! He has scored! It was an open game

with two teams with good attitudes, brilliant attitudes. At the end,

yeah... After five minutes of talking, it seems a deserved draw.

We are working as hard as we can. We will see what Leicester do tomorrow

and go from there. The shot of Pochettino tells you, two points

dropped by Spurs rather than one game. Two evenly matched sides. It

was, but I think Spurs just shaded it. You can see the reaction from

Pochettino, they know what Leicester do, it could be two points dropped.

Anything that happens with Liverpool, it'll be down to the

consistency of Coutinho. Daniel Sturridge is having that kind of

day, a poor effort and he could have done better. This isn't what we want

to see from Coutinho, blatant cheating for me. Not only does he

not get touched, he screams as well! SCREAMING

here. Brilliant 1-2, flying past Eric Dier. The quality he has, when

you get into those situations, he does passes it into the net. He has

time and space, and you want to see him picked up. Daniel Sturridge not

having a great day, and that is a Supercross, just head it back where

it's coming from. But that was the kind of game he was having. Somebody

has to take the chance here. Brilliant cross and fantastic skills

here. Kyle Walker, one of our most athletic and quick players, twisting

his blood all over the place. Angry with himself. He gives the

goalkeeper the optics back here, -- the eyes here. Could have easily won

the game through the quality of Coutinho. A slow burner for Harry

Kane for Spurs, but eventually we saw another classic finish. In the

first half I thought he was feeling the effects of international

football because he was a bit slower than he normally is. He had one or

two chances here. He's screaming to get in the box here, but he was

quite slow, not really a shot or cross, and Lovren had the chance to

get back in. Just tiredness? Probably, yeah. He out muscles Sakho

again. Doesn't really do anything and gives Lovren the chance to get

back in. Works well here, a poor touch, and then Emre Can is able to

put the danger away. Two chances in the first half, and a big feature of

the Tottenham game is the diagonal ball from Alderweireld, into

Eriksen, and the rest from Kane is world-class. Just brilliant, the way

he touches it, his technique with his left foot. No coincidence he

continues to find the bottom of the net. It's just world-class

finishing. Two or three months ago with Harry Kane the question was,

would he start for England? Well, he will start for England. The question

now is, will he start on his own or will somebody be alongside him

Nestor brilliant. -- alongside him? Brilliant. If Harry Kane was in his

sharpest he could have had a few today. We will forgive you for the

Crow impression. Arsene Wenger thinks that if Arsenal win their

last eight games they will have a chance of winning the Premier

League. That quest started against Watford who beat them three weeks

ago in the FA Cup. To the Emirates for this one. COMMENTATOR: Danny

Welbeck's third Premier League goal in five games since his return

helped Arsenal to winning ways at Goodison Park. He has since won his

first England cap in more than a year, and he starts in an unchanged

team. The Watford top scorer, Odion Ighalo, has played in every league

match this season and scored here in the FA Cup victory 20 days ago. But

he only has one Premier League goal in his last 11 games.

header in and a good save from Gomez but you see how quick Sanchez reacts

and he couldn't miss. Exactly the start Arsene Wenger ordered.

Approaching the seventh minute. Two days ago, it is 15 years to the day

since football lost David Rocky Rocastle. His wife Janet and

children are guests of the club today. That has broken to Alex

Iwobi. Welbeck. Alex Iwobi once more, good try.

He is certainly not lacking in confidence and it needed tipping

over. Sanchez has got away and pulled it

back and it is Alex Iwobi. Two Premier League starts, two Premier

League goals for the teenager. His first at the Emirates Stadium.

Sanchez looks up, finds Alex Iwobi and are confident but calm finish

for the 19-year-old. What a run he is having, from starting in the Nou

Camp to getting his first Premier League goal at Goodison Park and now

his first goal at the emirates after his competitive international debut

for Nigeria, loving every second of it. The way this game has gone,

Quique Sanchez Flores has had to make substitutions earlier than he

would have expected. Sanchez almost found Hector Bellerin

but the Spaniard wins it back, Sanchez. Alex Iwobi waiting, cleared

but then deflected. Hector Bellerin will claim the goal. Arsenal have

settled this game inside three minutes of the second half. You have

to credit them for winning it back then, and then, when it eventually

came back to him, his shot was deflected off Ben Watson and that

deceived Heurelho Gomes. Hector Bellerin will claim his third

Arsenal goal and put any lingering doubt away. Alex Iwobi. Sanchez, a

beautiful ball, Alex Iwobi. I'd go alone, he has. Mesut Ozil. Alex

Iwobi so close to his second of the day and Arsenal's fourth. Look how

easily they get through again. They stood off him and were nearly

punished, back off the crossbar. The referee's assistant gave that

free kick. Swung in by Watson, Deeney at the back post, away by

Monreal, virtually off the line. Nathan Ake. That was incredible.

Deeney's cutback but Monreal watched it all the way. Unable to find the

target. It might come to Deeney. David

Ospina who has had nothing to do all afternoon, 20 minutes from time is

called upon to make a save. Long from Mesut Ozil. Campbell. There is

Walcott and in the final few sections of them 90 minutes, Theo

Walcott makes it 4-0. Wonderful ball from Mesut Ozil. And Campbell was

positive here. Walcott couldn't miss. His fifth Premier League goal

of the season. And a thumping defeat for Watford of the season. Arsenal

4-0 Watford. I am happy because we had a good performance and overall,

we scored goals and we didn't concede. We kept the game at a good

flow even when we were 3-0 up. The macro after the third and fourth

minute, it is difficult to play against Arsenal with the spaces on

the pitch. I think we looked a bit soft and light, to come here and

play against Arsenal when you are soft or light is impossible. We

spoke about Alex Iwobi at Everton, his first emirates goal today. I am

pleased with his talent but even more with his attitude and his

willingness to learn and contribute with teamwork. When you are young,

you dream about it, I am happy for the team and happy wee won 4-0 on it

is all for the team, glad we got the three points. Can you feel some are

meant moving? It is the start, we have to keep it going and just focus

on the process and that means the quality of our game. That gives us a

chance. Your boss is smiling, Mesut Ozil getting in trouble this week

for suggesting that Arsenal have screwed it up, Arsene Wenger says

they can still win it, what do you think? You can't expect in to say

anything different but Mesut Ozil realises it will take a massive

capitulation from Leicester and Tottenham and Arsenal need to win

all of their games. He is right to say all he is saying because of the

chances they have had to be amongst it. He maybe believes they have

missed those chances. You can't expect Arsene Wenger to say anything

else in that respect but with Alex Iwobi and Welbeck, I am really

excited about that partnership. We have to look back at the top man,

Sanchez, back to his best. Watching him a few weeks back, he would

randomly Alli and trying to do too much, this is his goal, tries to get

on the back post, Nathan Ake tried to get back in but loses him. A good

header but that is the reaction, like Quique Sanchez Flores is, if

you lose a goal that early against Arsenal, you are in trouble. Great

ball back to Alex Iwobi, he deserved the goal, brilliant. This is where

he was running into blind alleys a couple of weeks ago, now getting

into that space and he is going again. This one sets up Hector

Bellerin's goal and he gets his goal but it is great to see him busy and

moving. This is fantastic stuff again. Getting the ball, lays it in

and then he blasts into that area, taking two players with him. And

Alex Iwobi hits the crossbar, unlucky. This one for Mesut Ozil, a

nice ball around the corner, I wanted him to take it on the right

foot now, he doesn't, tries the left foot and gets a well-deserved round

of applause. The Watford boss said they were soft and weak. They

probably were today, their mind will be on the semifinal, they are just

below mid table, their forwards, week after week, we talked about

Ighalo and Deeney only having four goals in the last 12 games between

them. That is where their problems lie. Two months ago Manchester City

were in the title race but for defeat in six games has seen them

fall away and they face a battle to finish in the Champions League

spots, they went to Bournemouth in search of a win. COMMENTATOR: Two

changes for Bournemouth, Lewis Grabban starts for the first time in

the league since returning to the club and Republic of Ireland

international cocaine comes in. Manchester City welcome back Kevin

de Bruyne after missing 12 matches with a knee injury, one of five

changes including Willy Caballero playing in goal for the injured Joe

Hart. 15 points bind the leaders Leicester, they're more pressing

concern is making sure they stay in the top four. Bournemouth looking to

start quickly here which is something they didn't do at

Tottenham when they were a goal down inside a minute and never really

recovered. Beautiful time from David Silva, took cocaine out of the game.

-- took Eunan O'Kane. It falls kindly for Silva, Kevin de Bruyne,

got the idea. It very nearly came off. Manchester City with the

Belgian back in the team for the first time since the end of January

and we have already seen nice touches from him in the opening

minutes of the game. All the way across and in, Fernando. Inside

seven minutes, the perfect start for Manchester City and for the second

match in a row, Eddie Howe and Bournemouth find themselves behind

early. The corner came over from Jesus Navas. It was barely a flick

but a good height for Fernando. He was able to send it goal would bind

the diving Artur Boruc, well taken, Manchester City lead.

Daniels, playing himself into trouble. In by Aguero, Kevin de

Bruyne, brilliant, absolutely brilliant. Bournemouth only have

themselves to blame, sloppy play at the back but my goodness they were

made to pay for it. Sensational goal from Manchester City. Charlie

Daniels, when he made that Dart infield from the left full-back

position, you could sense he was surrounded. Quickly dispossessed and

it rapidly unravelled for Bournemouth, wonderful

improvisation, skill and precise finishing. Manchester City made that

look so easy. It has been a nice return to the first team for Kevin

de Bruyne so far. You always wonder which Manchester City is going to

turn up, a very businesslike and lethal looking one so far today.

Rising high, Aguero, it is three. Unbelievable start of the game for

Manchester City, three goals in 18 minutes and Aguero, one of the

shorter players on the field, rising high above the Bournemouth defence

who couldn't keep the ball out of the net. Manchester City three goals

up here. Look at the leap and Steve Cook unable to claw the ball away

from the goal line. What a jump from Aguero, Bournemouth stunned.

No free kick, not cleared away and off the bar, Fernandinho with the

shot. 8-ball's width away from being the fourth of the afternoon inside

25 minutes. Just getting away from Max Gradel. He goes down, the

referee has the look and brings the playback, Bournemouth have a free

kick. Just getting the Achilles of the Bournemouth player. Away by Adam

Smith, in by Steve Cook, Max Gradel swings his leg, Lewis Grabban. He

lets it run for a corner. Bournemouth's first corner of the

match after half an hour. Interesting looking ball-in-hand

Cavaliere with the save but did not fulfil King, Cavallaro has had

nothing to do for half an hour but was paying attention here when he

was required. Just a flick header from Steve Cook and athletically

pushed away by the Manchester City goalkeeper. Bournemouth ard two

points short of the much talked about 40, they will have to go some

to reach that mark by the end of the day.

Good save by Artur Boruc and it needed to be, very close to goal

number four for Manchester City. Caught it superbly. Eddie Howe's

team haven't been in this game so far. Given away, collected by

Aguero. Kolarov ahead of him... Aleksandar Kolarov, and Artur Boruc

with the save. Aguero couldn't get it out from under his feet quick

enough. Artur Boruc has made a couple of saves in this second half,

the latest one, his boot keeping it out. City under pressure from those

behind them, maths West Ham and Manchester and this is the perfect

response from Manchester City. Kolarov, what a goal! Wonderful

challenge. That might completely change the picture here. Kouyate,

probably still playing at awful backpass through his mind here, a

terrible challenge on Dwight Gayle. He is high, off the ground, and he

fears the worst. Mark Clattenburg had no hesitation. That kind of

challenge has to be punished with a red. Kouyate off, and opportunity

knocks for Crystal Palace. Puncheon finds Bakary Sako. Mr

fans as though it was a goal. A great bit of movement, well struck

ball, Defoe. It is blocked behind, a Sunderland corner. He is finding the

space now, Jermain Defoe but he just can't quite find the net. Sandro.

Defoe under pressure, Cattermole, that is Yann M'Vila, Fabio Borini.

And it is offside, it won't count, the flag went up straightaway and

enjoyed squeezes it over the line but in vain. This could be one of

the most important flags of the season. From that shot, it was about

right and from that one it is right from Fabio Borini's effort, he was

Sunderland at the end of the season and Sam Allardyce will feel that it

outstanding form. And right at the very end, when we thought we had got

the goal we needed to get the three points, the linesman sticks 's flag

now so we are pleased. We have to go to Arsenal, Manchester City and

Tottenham so we needed to get the points as quickly as we could and I

am delighted for everyone at the club. Are you thinking about a

possible trip to France? Gray I am not thinking about anything really,

I had a serious injury, ten months in total and at the moment I am

looking after it a bit. He knows the situation with my knee, I hope it

can clear itself up and I can get back to full fitness. Sam Allardyce

one, the cuts inside and you would expect in to make that say but he

pushes it away. Like we were talking about with Adrian. Defoe, stays up,

gives him the eyes but this, that is a fantastic save. He stays up and

saves it with his feet, fantastic. I think he has half a chance if he is

not injured, why not take him to France? Interesting stat for West

Brom, the seventh time this season they have failed to register a shot

on target, that is a remarkable statistic. It is not pretty at times

but Tony Pulis said it, 40 points, Newcastle and Sunderland would take

that now. Was this definitely offside? It was. He tries his best

to get himself back onside and when we see it from other angle, those

are the margins. That is the margin for them, stopping them getting

three points, could he get back quicker? I am not sure, he tried his

best but it is the way it goes. It can be that tight, Aston Villa

started 12 points from safety with relegation hanging over them and

Remi Garde's timer at the club was brought to an end finally this week.

We need fighting spirit, quality and we have not got quality enough. With

him in the dugout, there is no smile on the face at the football club.

to the bottom. Aston Villa just looked like they are defeated.

their, and it is Loftus cheeks who has put it in the net, deflected, I

Aston Villa, not for the first time this season caught absolutely cold

chance. 1-0 Chelsea. Coming inside, this is what he likes

to do and he flicks it in here to kill, Thibaut Courtois forced to

make the save. The productive force for Aston Villa there. He did a lot

of work on the left-hand side, then he found Carlos Gil and then Thibaut

Courtois made the save, it was driven against his body, Eric Black

knows that is the closest they have come. The new setup at Villa Park,

Steve Hollis, Brian Little, David Bernstein and Adrian Bevington, they

are the men charged with the job of rebuilding this famous club.

Fabregas. Alexandre Pato went down and it looks as though the referee

has given a penalty to Chelsea. It was a clumsy challenge and he was

certainly punished for it. It is going to be Alexandre Pato, who

could well be scoring his first goal for Chelsea here.

What a good penalty, that is how they take them, he smashes it into

the net. He has made it Aston Villa 0- to Chelsea. You can't help

feeling that he might be presiding over the last rites of Aston Villa

to make it 3-0. Guus Hiddink only lost one league match when he was

last in charge. He has not lost one in the Premier League in this spell.

Goodness, Aston Villa are wide open again on that side. Brad Guzan makes

half a save and Pedro! It's his second. Chelsea's fourth, and Pato

had a hand in it again. What about the space on Chelsea's left, Villa's

right-hand flank? Nobody covering it. The ball came across, Brad Guzan

made the save but Pedro turned in from the tight angle. Aston Villa 0-

four Chelsea. Just look at those supporters, proud history, what

future? We are at the time of the game where a lot of them have been

leaving in protest. Loftus-Cheek. Pato. Well, what Pato would have

made of it, I don't know, because Alan Hutton bundled him over. Hutton

scored an own goal when Chelsea beat them at Stamford Bridge earlier in

the season. And that's what they think of the owner. He's not often

here, which is why the banner is so victory at -- vitriolic.

Loftus-Cheek has gone down and Hutton might face some thing from

the referee. Alan Hutton already on a yellow card, and it looks like a

red. That just about compounds Villa's misery. Alan Hutton sent off

for a second yellow card offence. Aston Villa down to ten men. If you

wanted to see Aston Villa in the debt is of despair, it has to be

today. We are not delighted at losing 4-0.

Thereafter things that run a little deeper, if you like, but we are a

professional football club, and we needed to be professional today. I

have outlined that, and we will continue what we need to do to get

the club back where it should be. It was not the most difficult game, to

be honest. You have to make a judgment on when the tough games are

coming in and when some youngsters might step in or start, but the

experience for them was good. Placards and protest around the

stadium. It will take a long time to get the supporters back onside. It's

got to happen, and it will happen. How quickly that happens, I don't

know. I understand the frustration. We have only won two games at home,

and there can be a disconnect between fans and players, but we

carry on. We have to try to change their minds, and the only way we can

do that is by performing on the pitch. STUDIO: Chelsea now have the

longest unbeaten run of any side in the Premier League this season. I

get the feeling you want to address the situation at Villa Park. It was

an embarrassing performance from Aston Villa again. As soon as they

went 1-0 down, their heads dipped. Lescott doesn't have a clue where

Loftus-Cheek is, looking behind him and not in front of him. A goal down

and be heads go down. There is nobody with Pedro at all in the

middle. This little 1-2, it's very good from Chelsea, but it takes four

players out of the game, all ball watching. Simple but effective from

Chelsea. But it's embarrassingly Aston Villa. Richards pulls out of

the tackle. I don't know what Guzan is doing. Hits his chest when he

goes to save it. Another goal for Pedro. It was like a training game

for Chelsea. They were good, but they didn't have to work hard

because Aston Villa were hopeless. It was like a preseason game. I

genuinely feel for the fans. The next appointment is crucial. They

have to get rid of a load of players. It's a double dip. If they

go, they could go again. It has happened to bigger clubs. It's all

right saying they have to get rid of players, and half of them will be on

big wages, but other players have to come in. They have made changes at

boardroom level. The fans are very unhappy. The decision for who to go

for in the dugout is huge, and David Moyes is currently favourite. Some

big names on the board. Moyes and Pearson. You have to look at

Pearson. After what happened at Leicester, they have to consider

Nigel Pearson. Whoever they get, they have a massive job on their

hands. Stoke City on target for their best ever Premier League

campaign with Europa League football a real target for next city. But

taking on a Swansea side with three victories in their last four.

COMMENTATOR: Jakob Haugaard makes a Premier League debut in place of the

injured Jack Butland. There have been many penalties in this fixture

recently, including the ones scored by Bojan to settle the last meeting

in October. There were two controversial spot kicks last time,

one considered by Angel Rangel, and then the Swansea boss Garry Monk

said the officials had been conned by a dive, in sensing Mark Hughes in

the process. Only Leicester and Spurs ahead of Stoke in the current

form table. Swansea in their best run of the campaign after three wins

in their last four matches. Confidence shouldn't be a problem

for either side today. Arnautovic lets the ball run. Just for a moment

it is alluded Fernandez. Still with Arnautovic. Must be and is, no

offside. Afellay accepts the gift while Swansea look for the flag. Two

or three Swansea players felt it had to be offside, but didn't look like

it was. Certainly with the way the ball was crossed, it was never going

to catch Afellay off. Nowhere if. It was so simple. -- no way. It was all

about lack of concentration from the Swansea defenders, and Afellay on

his 30th birthday celebrates his second Premier League goal.

Another Stoke free kick, this time for the foul by Sigurdsson. I don't

think you can complain about that decision. Stoke have been well on

top here, but just one goal to show for their control of this game.

Maybe it should have been two. Joselu peeling off his marker again,

and with the time and room he had, he ought to have scored. Only

Francesco Guidolin's 10th game in charge of Swansea, but already being

asked about his future, and the odds seem to be against him being Swansea

manager at the start of the new season. Lovely from Bojan. Terrific.

Is there a finish at the end of it? There might be for Afellay! It

deserved so much more. Delightful from Bojan. Drifted away from a

couple of Swansea players as if they hadn't even been in his wake. A

shame there was no finish at the end of what would have been a picture

book goal from Stoke City. If anything, Stoke will feel that 1-0

doesn't quite reflect their domination.

Bojan, promising for Stoke. Bojan! Goal! He loves to score. A smile as

broad as anyone inside the stadium. He can change a match. A little bit

of room, and he went straight into the gap. The finish was unerringly

accurate, a little piece of it from Fabianski, but never enough to

prevent it nestling in the corner. It will take one heck of a comeback

from Swansea to stop Stoke gathering three more points in this

exceptional campaign. Still plenty of time for Swansea, but they

haven't shown enough to demonstrate they can score once, never mind

twice. Routledge does well, leaving Pieters for dead. Plenty of space

for Routledge. The cross isn't bad. Sigurdsson. Oh, he scored! Swansea

are back in it. Still half of the second half to go. He has been a

real bright spark in a fairly average season for Swansea City.

Gylfi Sigurdsson's 10th Premier League goal, and his shot had

sufficient venom and the element of surprise about it. The debutant

goalkeeper couldn't get anywhere near it. Swansea looked beaten, but

are now anything but. 2-1. We can hear the genuine frustration around

the Stoke City supporters. Sigurdsson, tried to take it in his

stride. Dispossessed. Stoke want to mount a counterattack, but they will

not. Kyle Naughton to Montero, in the side to Williams, and on towards

Montero again. Back to his skipper. Paloschi on the turn, and he scores,

Swansea are level! You couldn't have seen this coming 20 minutes ago.

Stoke with a measure of control that seemed immovable. But how quickly

football changes. Sigurdsson makes it 2-1, Paloschi, the substitute,

2-2. What had been a quiet afternoon for the debutant goalkeeper,

Haugaard, he has been beaten by two shots that have deflected beyond

him. Stoppage time at the end of a really fascinating duel, as it has

turned out. Joselu tries to win it. It was the kind of match that

deserved a late twist will stop it didn't arrive, and it stays 2-2.

We played well, but Stoke as well. The first time Stoke have been

better in the first half, but my team better in the second, I think.

The result was all right, OK for us. I'm happy because I saw my team

played to win, to attack. Maybe we got a bit defensive when they got

beginner shall goal back. -- they got the initial goal back. It was

just the second shot on target in the second half, and we have been in

to see the referee, and the linesman apparently told him that one of the

Swansea players was in an offside position. He has made a movement to

get out of the way of the ball, should have been offside, but we

don't get too many of those decisions, unfortunately.

Disappointed because we played well enough to win, but in the last six

games, we have to make the best of each and every one of them. STUDIO:
