They have quality to

play the game we want to play.

good. A very positive sign.

We had

exactly the same systems once he

had, we put players into those

positions, as Swansea did. I might

as well have been talking in a

foreign language on what I saw in

the first half because we didn't

implement defensively what we

wanted, certainly in possession we

got nothing going forward apart from

You'd think they'd played

This is him, loves running

in behind, super pass from Ozil. He

could do better but he was a threat.

Everton were all over the place

because of their movement, their

positions. This is the position

Mkhitaryan loves, the number ten

role. Getting in the pocket. His

first touch always forward. He's

offside and Everton are unlucky, but

he finds the right pass. Really

clever little finish. It will do him

the world of good in terms of

confidence moving forward. Arsenal

at home are fantastic to watch, no

doubt. They struggle on the road.

This is a weak effort. When they

play like that against anybody they

can beat anybody in the country.

They just don't play like this away

from home. Super pick out from

Mkhitaryan, he has the quality in

the final third and that calmness.

We can't seemed the

bits and pieces going on in the

background when we were warming up.

It was at good day put on by

everybody. A pity we could not get

the results to match it. The big man

may have been proud of us if we had

gotten a result today. It wasn't to

be.

speaks volumes of what a nice man he

was and how he was respected.

And a much-needed victory. Both

clubs are struggling at present.

Mario Lemina scored his first goal,

and what a rocket. But it wasn't

poor. Maybe he wasn't fit, but he

was fit today. He showed skill and

endeavour. He tracked runners, make

tackles. His creativity was good. I

liked the fact that he was looking

forward all the time, trying to be

progressive. His all-round play,

areas. Southampton looked like a

really good footballing side today.

I know that West Brom had injuries,

but he was powerful, and that is the

type I like to -- the type of pass I

like to see in midfield. It is the

best game I have seen him play for

to play like this and score these...

did all right. He has got qualities

that there are other strikers

haven't. I would say that Rodrigues,

who has scored five in seven, was

left on the bench, maybe he had a

little knock. That was a strange

one. Daniel Sturridge, I have always

admired his finishing ability. He

plays with confidence that a lot of

strikers don't have. In the box like

this, doesn't quite pick anybody. He

has been at a lot of big clubs where

he has had a lot more of the ball,

but he has vision, can make things

happen. They have got to start

winning some games soon, because

they are in real trouble. He is

somebody who can score.

No

questioning his ability, it is

getting him on the pitch that has

been the problem over the years.

You

don't play for the big clubs, City,

Chelsea, Liverpool, if you don't

have ability. You need mental

strength and toughness. He's 28

years old. He has only started 115

Premier league games.

They need to

keep him fit, because one win in 24.

That is gamble. If they get him onto

the pitch, he has ability.

We knew the games would

today, we gave away too many poor

goals today. It's not something

we've been doing and we've been very

good prior to that but today...

Where you frustrated with the

transfer window ultimately or happy?

It's a difficult winter to

negotiate. Yeah, I think a little

bit of both. We wanted to get two

players in at the start. As it went

on we might have needed three and

didn't quite get the third at the

end. Bits of it OK. Other bits, not

so good. We are in a difficult

position, make sure we stay away

from the bottom end, need need the

supporters behind us. They've come

in their numbers, they always do. We

can only ask them to back the team,

give us all the support they can to

make sure we climb away from the

bottom end of the table.

Coming to

West Ham in a second, it was

Brighton's day. The problem has been

scoring goals. Certainly wasn't

today, they were on fire.

Before

today, lowest scores in the Premier

League, three goals in the last six.

Going forward today West Ham

couldn't cope with Gross, Izquierdo

and Glenn Murray, the three of them

combined. A good weighted pass and a

very good finish and good goal, they

had a bit of everything about them,

tut, technique, one touch, to touch,

running in behind. They created so

many chances. Thoroughly deserved to

win the game. Lovely touch again.

as I said. It had everything. This

time running in behind, the pace.

West Ham struggled to cope with them

all afternoon. Some of the goals

they scored were absolutely

fantastic. Hard work closing them

down. Lovely touch to set himself

up. The touch, the turn, one hell of

a finish. The keeper has got no

chance. Right in the back of the

net. We saved the best till last

from Izquierdo. Picks it up on the

then we got an injury to a
