And it will be time for the two teams to settle it... The ball off

the near side... And he's looking down field...

Unbelievable! Yes, yes! How did he do that? He's

got it. Hello and welcome to Twickenham for

the second of this season's Bridgestone international series.

Today the home of rugby hosts the NFL for the very first time. Much

like our special relationship with our American friends, there's a lot

more that connects the two sports than divides them.

The New York Giants verses the LA Rams. A heavy-weight line-up. All

three of my guests providing insight throughout the afternoon, along with

special guests. Our two teams today play in the NFC conference in the

NFL. They are in different divisions. The Giants are bottom of

the NEC East. They are alive and kicking with a 3-3 record. They will

consider themselves in the hunt for the playoffs. You can see the

daylight between the Cowboys and so the latter may have to settle for a

wildcard spot. In the NFL only the division winners are guaranteed a

playoff. In the West, the Rams back in LA for the first time in season

thasmt've had three wins and three defeats T Seahawks within touching

distance in that division. It is a huge pressure on both teams today.

One will travel back with a winning record. The Rams are the de facto

home team. They have been in town all week, getting a lot of attention

from the media, including our reporter, who went in search of one

of their stars. That was Case Keenum.

Welcome to the UK. How important it is for you to get here early to have

the break after the weekend? Each time you don't win you don't

accomplish all your goals. I think it takes time to look back, review

the film and learn from your mistakes. Guys did that, and ready

to move on. It will be on the practise field, ready to look

forward to the next week and exciting that we're here in London.

How different has it been knowing you have been starting as

quarterback but Jared Goff is waiting in the wings? I find if you

look too far behind, or look too far ahead, you get overwhelmed with

things. I try to look right now on my job to do right now. And that is

practise and then get ready for tomorrow. And we see you and Jared

out in practise talking. Do you talk about this potential rivalry? You

know, we both try to help each other out. It is good to have more than

one set of eyes looking at a defense. I can see some things, he

can see some things and sometimes when you are removed from the

situation gooed to have an objective point of view of things. We help

each other out. If you think back to 2012 when you were undrafted, you

used that to your advantage. Is it about proving people wrong? A little

bit. I like to prove people right. Those who believed in me, my

friends, my coaches, more than I like to prove people wrong. It does

feel good when you prove them wrong too.

So you are three in three. You are an old Houston boy. You know the

Super Bowl is in Houston, do you look around this team and think,

yes, we've got the potential to do it? Yes I think so. Houston, a long

way off, but it is exciting to think about going back home and to play

there would be a dream come true. Given that, does that make this

weekend make or break? You know, each week is important. Looking back

after the season, you never know what game is the one that mattered,

if you could take one play from one game and change that and it changes

the season. So that why we approach each practise with everything we've

got. We approach each game with everything we've got. And the guys

receiving it, like Gurley, how important have they been? It is a

great job. My receivers as well. All of the guys, they have done a

really good job and have come on lately too, playing really well.

They are hungry. They want the football. They want guys who want

the football. They are excited. He's not the most high profile

player in the NFL, but last week against the Lions he showed what he

was capable of for a lot of the game. That was against the Lions.

People forget he started the end of last season, they went four in one

for the four games. People concentrate on what he can't do,

which is he doesn't have a real strong... He's not the strongest

guy. He wants a run-orientated team. He wants to turn the ball over. He's

accurate enough when he throws. That is what they want most from him, his

accuracy. As we heard in the interview they have spent big on

Jared Goff. They reached up for him in the draft. He was expected by

many people to start this season at least by now. So the plan has not

gone as they hoped, has it? It hasn't gone as they hoped. It is

because in college he didn't run in offense. He has to get caught up to

speed and get it under his belt, which is very difficult in the NFL.

You mentioned Todd Gurley, a very talented player in this heavy

offense which is what Jeff Fisher wants to run, of course. But it has

not been going to plan so far, has it? Not at all. That is a big

problem for the las ang gles Rams. Based on defense, running the

football. They have not been able to run the ball well. If they continue

not to run the ball well they will be very unsuccessful in the future.

He has to get help from his friends, the offensive line has not given him

time. They are worried about pass protection. He has the talent to be

the next Peter son in this league. If you think back to when Jeff

Fisher used to coach winning teams back in Tennessee they were built

around George running the ball, five, six times a game. They want

Gurley to be the whoun loves it. He was coming into the NFL off a bad

injury. You cannot make him a workhorse off that. The Giants'

offensive line, protecting Eli Manning and co against the Rams

defensive line. That is led by Donald. The most. This is a

defensive tackle. Quick, fast can do everything. He plays the run and

rushes the pass. As a matter of fact he rushes the pass and plays the run

on his way toback. Cannot forget about Quinn also.

We saw about five different moves there on one rush from Donald. He is

tremendous. Now, you can hear Craig David

performing behind us. He sold over 30 million albums worldwide, of

course and in the middle of a successful comeback. A new album and

a new tour to look forward to. # Ain't giving up on you...

Speaking of comebacks, we were getting into that. Speaking of

comebacks, there are few in the NFL more experienced than dragging his

team from the brinks than Eli Manning. Seeing as OJ are not one

but two Super Bowls with the Giants who better to get the lowdown on one

of the best in the business. Listen all you New Yorkers... Let's show

them what we all do. Eli Manning...

Eli... My man, Eli! Look at him! Eli Manning... The champion.

You've got to make it happen... My man, my main guy. Played ten years

with you. How you? Doing great. How are you? Enjoying myself. We played

here in the first international series back in '07. You scored a

rush down touch in that game and showed off your speed.

Eli Manning and he will waltz into the end zone.

Some people have it. I am very blessed.

What are your memories of that game and the way London was and how we

were received back then? Obviously the first time, the crowd was kind

of cheering at odd times. You would have a ten-yard pass and they were

cheering like... Hey, you played ten yards, that is pretty fast. You had

a 3nd 1, it is like that is boring. Where's the action. They

like the fights, the punts and, you know, so ten years later, going to

enter and see how the crowd reacts. Looking forward to it.

Hurry-up... You guys haven't made the playoffs in four years and I

know that weighs heavy on your heart. How will you rectify that

this year? We have ways to win the close games. Last year we lost a

tonne of close ones. We had a chance to win and couldn't go down and

score. We did a good job winning a few of them, but not enough. It is

that mind set, it is that belief, it is that trust, when it gets to the

fourth quarter we will make the play. Defense and stop when you need

it. It's about everybody believing. What about the turnover on thes are

ter, last time we won the championship was back in 2012. There

are only four players remaining on that particular team. Do you feel

like a dinosaur? Yes, you know, that's the NFL. You learn that

quickly. The NFL, you are there three years it is a lifetime. We

have guys going into that second, third year. Those are the best teams

when you have the great family. Going to the end zone...

Touchdown... I don't know how superstitious you are. Last time the

Giants were here, you know how it ended last season. Super Bowl.

That's right. . Want to do our job, get a win here and make it possible.

Eli seems unassuming, very mild mannered. For a quarterback that is

an attribute because he's calm under pressure. Others think they need to

be big and brash. Sometimes he gets criticism for that. He is big and

brash on the inside. He doesn't let it come out. He is a competitor who

believes in himself. He gets the job done for the New York Giants week

in, week out. He puts it out there for his team. In a sense z what the

Giants' game has been about for years, get big plays out of Eli. The

last couple of years they have tried to play a more controlled game.

Shorter passes, don't turn the ball over as much. As you watch them,

they are still a big playing team. They depend on the big passes from

Eli, especially and to Cruz and whoever else is at the other

receiver spots. Odell Beckham - one of the superstars in the NFL right

now. He's coming to London on the up after a difficult season so far.

Yeah. He's a superstar. He's the heart beat of that team. He's so

explosive. He gets the crowd behind him and those guys feed off of him.

When he's playing well the defense picks it up. He is that team right

now. We are seeing some of him right now. Is there too much pressure on

him? He's taken around the world as an NFL ambassador? I wouldn't say

there's too much pressure on him. He brings this on himself with all the

things he does off the field. He has the blond hair. Great

responsibility, this is what will happen to players like this. At the

end of the day he's a great performance. This is last week

against the Ravens and Beckham, that was their offense. You play

quarterback, how would you feel about covering Odell Beckham?

Dangerous. You cannot give him any room. He's dangerous. Now we have

seen a lot of the Giants and you notice as well in the warm-up he was

coming into this game with injury concerns, and he didn't look right,

did he? He is walking around with a trainer and that is a red flag. You

are trying to get ready for your game, when the trainer is next to

you, that means you have an issue, a concern. We will watch this space

closely. On the defensive side of the board, the Giants re-upped in

the off season,s they are the worse defense in the NFL last time. They

spent big on Jenkins, five years, $62 million. Is he worth the money?

They got Jenkins from the Rams. He will know the receivers. He was the

second best quarterback on the Rams. That is crucial. He's a gambling

kind of guy. He likes to go and play people, take chances. That is the

same is true of all the other quarterbacks. It is a bad

combination. It is. I like gambling corners because they make plays.

They need corners and that is why they've got him. He's been the best

chance so far. Not only who is a good player. It is that guy right

there. He's been playing phenomenal football. It could be a close game

and may end up being crucial that the Giants have a brand new kicker

going into this game. Josh Brown is suspended while the

NFL is investigating domestic abuse, so they have signed Robbie Gold, who

used to be with the Bears. Until they decide punishment will not be

playing. As we heard Eli Manning already has two Super Bowl rings and

he has plenty of gas left in the tank, one of the top ten

quarterbacks of all time in passing yardage. He could move up the list

into ninth today with our heart decent day. Let's have a look at the

illustrious company he finds himself in.

In a passer dominated NFL, more so than ever before for, even so it

makes his achievement getting on that list pretty special. There is

something about being that good for that long. That is worth credit

itself. Even if you are not arguably the best in any given era. That is

the story for him, being that good for 38 -- for that long. You have to

be healthy and stay on the field. ESPN on Twitter earlier, saying the

best selling NFL jerseys in the UK this year, Odell Beckham first, then

Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers. Odell Beckham Jr number one. And he has

that same last name. I know how much you love what about. They are about

to take the field here at Twickenham, and the NFL already is

Different from Wembley when both teams decided to come May. Teams

vary on how they approach this. What do you prefer? I would not want to

come too early, but not on Friday either. You need enough time to

adjust. And you want to experience London, have some fun. I think

Wednesday would be perfect. I've already experienced London so I

would prefer the short week. I was convinced the short on works better

and results seem to show that but now they kick off earlier, not 6pm,

so I'm not sure that the team that travels short is yet adjusted to the

time. Particularly a West Coast team. They have been here all week.

For the it works well. Tavon Austin we did not mention earlier so let's

take a look. Another with the big contract this summer, 26 catches,

242 yards, pretty versatile. And he is a big play Guy, the Rams depend

do they get the best out of him, do they know? Get him the ball quick,

market. New York and LA playing in London, free of the biggest cities

in the world, Los Angeles here, they need that. There were not high hopes

that they have shown promise and they need to keep it going. Big

surprise in a very tough division, the Seattle playing this weekend. In

the early 50s the LA Rams were the most exciting team NFL, then they

were the biggest defensive team of the 50s with Olsen, Jones, the

fearsome foursome. Then they became offensive again with Lewis. Did they

sell any tickets then? We couldn't afford any. You can keep in touch

to run for the touchdown. That is what I am anxious to watch and that

is what I have been eager to see him fight. You had better put two men on

him and at times that is not good enough. That is the best way to stop

him. We will let you go, I know you favoured my half and half staff,

perhaps you can take it. The fans can only see the Rams' side. I'm

watch OBJ, not long now. He was an injury doubt going into this one.

Not much about the Giants' defense in terms of pressure on the QB, you

made your name for that in those great Giants teams.

They have been getting good pressure. You pay that amount to

those players to get to the quarterback and they don't bring

them down, it is a problem. I have a sneaky suspicion that today is the

day they will get it done. Do you buy into that? Will it be the break

through? It has to come sooner than later. I go back to this idea where

Olivier was the second option and he was yood to somebody else getting

all the attention. Best when you are singled out like

that when you are second best rusher. I was always the best.

Mike said that the Rams are one of the surprise packages this season so

far. What is their ceiling? How far can this team go? I think they can

do well. They have to get to grip with the penalties. They are great

on defense. They cannot hurt themselves for penalties. Sit back

THE COMMENTATOR: Harris is back for the Giants.

He said that the Giants feel good about their chances to return. Jeff

Fisher says, we are going to bang it out of the back of the end zone.

Longest kick back from Harris was against the Vikings. That was 44

yards. He will put himself down to a knee with a touchback for the

25-yard line. And this will be a 1st 25-yard line. And this will be a 1st

10. We talked to Eli Manning yesterday and Eli, at 35 years of

age, as we talked about before, coming off a career season a year

ago. A big game last week. Four header and three yards against the

down behind the line of scrimmage by Maurice Alexander. He's been playing

well in that position for LA. He's on the line of scrimmage. The Giants

turnover. That is a problem for the Giants, who are -11. His sixth

fumble over his career. He's lost all five. You can see the double

team tackle there as Joyner is on the ball.

Review... They will see if that knee was down when he was hit.

The noise meant we couldn't hear ourselves. That shows what the

atmosphere will be like and the pressure that will be on these

of the '07 New York Giants team that played here. It is like night and

day being here to play all week. Seeing the fans, seeing how much

They might have won something small. This trip to London was a huge

advantage for us as a football team. It was at a time we were struggling

as a football team. It was almost like going back to training camp. We

were here by ourselves with our football team and that win over the

Dolphins propelled us for the rest of the season. Typical Giant. I

played at the old Wembley Stadium, 2007. What I really remember is the

fans being into it. They were excited. They were in tears. They

were felling all that Paddy Ashdown shuvenlt they were feeding off it. I

remember a great fanbase here. Once a pro-always a pro-. -- once a pro

always a pro. I know you want to get back to the action.

THE COMMENTATOR: Clearly a fumble. We will hear exactly that. There was

I thought he was getting more of his rhythm last week.

And Austin fumbles the ball. He goes to the farside and out of bounds and

it still stays with the Rams, as Gurley got the wildcat snap.

Gurley with the snap. A good job with the exchange to Austin. Good

block on the outside by Kendricks there. Looked like Austin was down

before that ball came lose. Now the 14-yard line. It is a 1st

down. Austin is all over the place, isn't

he? They can put him in a lot of different positions. He's so quick

and dangerous with the ball in his hands.

The 1st 10. Running back down to about the 11-yard line and hit out

of play by a fourth year player out of Ohio state for the Giants. A

couple of wide, tall receiver, two of them at 6 foot three. They have

an advantage. Shepard came back in the defense for

New York and they've got four in their 2nd here.

It was almost pipped off. Almost grabbed on the play by Jason

Pierre-Paul. He rarely leaves the field. A 3-down player. 3rd 6 for

the Rams. Still looking to get a pass rush out of their front four.

This is a real good blitz that time. The ball, knocked it in the air.

He almost had a free one. The Rams have this great field position. 3rd

7. That is caught for a touchdown.

Team on Austin. He beats Andrew Adams.

And the Rams cash in on the turnover by the Giants on a 10-yard

touchdown. That is a slant route by Austin in the slide, getting behind

the line backers, inside of the safety. Ball thrown behind him. A

great adjustment to the ball before Andrew Adams can get there to knock

it away. A great start for the Rams. A disastrous start for the Giants.

Austin has signed a contract extension this past training camp.

Comes down with his second touchdown this season. The Rams offense, 31

and they have had a hard time going. Coming off some nice momentum from

last week when they were storing well, running it and throwing the

ball better, the 19th consecutive conclusions at one time.

11-15 to play in the first. Gaines picks out up. Reception with Austin

in the end zone. The New York Giants like to huddle off to put the

defense in the back foot. They is great in theory A terrible start for

them. Turnover, turnovers. You cannot turn the football over. This

is what used to drive the coach insane. And they have been doing it

for the past 16 games. You cannot have it. And you can see why they

reviewed it because right there, he's down. There is a little bit of

a touch to make sure he's down. When you get this, your man JPP had his

shot at six. He should have caught it. Didn't know the ball would come

like that. The line backers, on the quarterback, should have been a

turnover from the New York Giants. A well executed play for the

touchdown. You attack the touchdown safety. Number three, slide and

defend this route. Look underneath. See the tight end coming under. The

linebacker had, he has to step up and for that little window Austin is

wide open. Eli, sorry Keenum gets the

Raze It was said, this offense is improving. I think that is true. It

is true he'll take it if it is the in the middle pack. He thinks his

defense can keep them in games and the defense is special, the team can

produce points for him. The Broncos laid out the blueprint for that.

When you have somebody like Gurley you can control the game. You want

to play great defense. I don't care what he says, there's no way he

wants his offense... No way! It is the principal it is going up. He

played for the Chicago Bears. You think back to the 86 Bears. That was

their formula too. Coaches come up with a formula. They stick to what

they know. A great start for the LA Rams. See how the Giants can

counter. To Harris and in the end zone after

the 25-yard line and a touchback for the Giants. 1st down 10.

Caught by the Rookie, Sterling Shepard. Out of Oklahoma. Brought

down by TJ McDonald of the Rams secondary. Really unusual for a

rookie to be so effective out of the slot. He played in that position at

University of Oklahoma a lot. The Giants like Hezbollah to define the

space over the middle. -- the Giants like his ability to find the space

over the middle. Rashad Jennings up the middle, into

the grasp of Ethan Westbrooks. The Giants like to use the running back

by committee. They have 129 carries on the year. Todd Gurley by himself

has 123. Dropped, Victor Cruz. He dropped one

last week as well. Had the chance to get close to a 1st down. Cruise saw

EJ Gaines playing about ten yards off and he knew he had the 1st down

with the catch. Watch his eyes go to the down marker. -- Cruz. Just flat

dropped it. Up the middle, picked up by Weston

Richburg. Short, looking for Shepard and Will Tye was there as well. Troy

Hill with the coverage for the Rams. Here comes the punt. Good bits that

time right up the middle, forcing Manning to throw off his back foot.

That ball came out short. Tavon Austin is deep for the Rams. Low

player knocked down across the way, and players converging on him, now

national anthem, what was that like? My gosh, I honestly could not be

more proud. This is my adopted home and to be here it is like, it is

crazy. I feel like I have been transported back to America, it

makes me miss my families so much. As soon as I walked in I got pork

and gravy, I love it. It is the spirit, the energy, festivity and

sportsmanship, passion, that is what I grew up with. It is just an honour

to perform my national anthem here. I thought you might sing ours as

well. Laura did a beautiful job. Say you are done, has that giving you

the passion to do it at the Super Bowl? Oh my gosh, I would love that,

singing at the Super Bowl, I've said it! I am starting the pussycat dolls

reunion. That would be really fun. Are you going for one of these

things? You are from Louisville, the Cardinals. My family actually, I am

not the biggest expert on NFL, but I grew up with my family loving

football. My family's favourite teams are Dallas Cowboys and

Minnesota Vikings. We are hoping that Teddy Bridgewater gets well, he

is actually from Louisville. So I said it sort of right, I am going

for that. You said you are an expert, we will get you up on

commentary. I said I am not! Thank you very much. Commentary'

Twickenham may be a rugby stadium, pitch as they call it, you can see a

lot of Giants jerseys. There are jerseys representing every

team here, 75,000 fans here. I have one of those hats if you want one.

After the punt. Case Keenum going deep, he has got his receiver, flag

throw, and he was working on the side. Working against Janoris

Jenkins, Brian Greg. Jenkins a high priced free agent signed by the

Giants. This will be against Jenkins. Before the pass was thrown,

Case Keenum played at the University of Houston, then the Texans before

being traded to the Rams. Cunningham with only his seventh carry of the

season. Hit by Harrison. They might think about getting Cunningham some

more action, his average coming in today just under seven yards per

carry. Good change-up. Sticking right now. Five in the secondary for

the Giants. Keenum, Austin sneaking inside. Sliding down to the 17-yard

Cruz. EJ Gaines has started the last couple of games and comes up with a

big play, the punt once again for the Giants. We were just talking

rather Giants coming over late, the Rams look a lot fresher at the start

of this game, the Giants seem to be sleepwalking through the first

There was pretty good coverage down there and the Ram lazy take it for a

fantastic experience being here today. You are looking at the

infamous net. How would you handle a player like Beckham? The maverick

players you need to handle carefully. There is a reason why

they are maverick. They have those tendencies. You have to be care of

the make sure they are motivated and happy, more importantly. I know you

study the game as well as a coach of, who have you learnt there having

that experience? Well, I mean a hero of mine.

the New York Giants. It started with that turnover and the Rams

you are seeing is classic Rams defense. Special Teams getting the

the Giants right now, the play calling is very standard. It is all

short, running short stuff and that's not really what will get them

back into the game. They don't believe in the run game. Trying to

throw the ball short to simulate runs and you know, it seems like

they are sleepwalking. That I have no rhythm. That is why Ben got the

job. He failed to capture that this year. Heavy is the head that wears

the crown. When he was offensive co-ordinator they were good. Now

head coach things are not progressing the way they would have

wanted them to. They seem to be sleepwalking like Jason said. We

talked at the beginning about this change when the kick-off was at six

I liked the teams that came over on Friday morning because they would be

playing at a good time. It would be noon time for their bodies. Right

now for the Giants it is still early in the morning. They have not had

their coffee yet. Talk from a players's point of view when you are

kicking off an at irregular time? For me I like to get the game over

early. Coming out here, like he said, it is like 6am right now, or

maybe 8am in New York. They have not had their breakfast. They still have

not had time to adjust properly I think to the game. I think the as ga

game goes on you will see them get better and better.

You know, they have been going it for 4th down. They've had a couple

of situations which have backfired, but now they take the penalty. A

that is one thing the coaching staff has talked to him about. It will

take some time, but they have certain techniques. They are working

footballer a season ago. He's got pressures in the NFL coming off the

defensive line: defense, five-yard penalty.

that up. A little jump right there. It is not

easy from the shotgun position for a quarterback to use the hard count to

draw somebody offside. Good job that time by Eli Manning.

I think when you play naturally you look at the guys who are considered

the best and Walter and Jonathan Ogden and those guys, we kind of

came along at a special time in the NFL where we have those quick guys,

the importance of the left tackle, you have to get athletic guys who

can move their feet so we could keep up. But where do they go which Mark

what happened? You never know, the game changes so much. The college

game is not developing as well, the spread offense makes it difficult to

find the athletic offensive tackles. He might have to remove some tight

ends down. Quick line before you go, I know you have a lot of media

today, these LA Rams have surprised a lot of people. How far can they

go? They have a great defense, they have two of the best defensive

lineman in the league, Aaron Donald and Robert Quinn. We appreciate your

just saw? It was amazing. If this is not on clean, first off, he's

throwing to the deeper receiver and Austin deflected. With those tackles

It shows how important blocking is. That is what they teach you on

defense, turn and block, you can get the guys, those are the slow guys,

the five lineman, take advantage. No way this guy has been a safety his

whole life, my safety Jason Bohn never made a play like that. He has

only just come back. Incredible play by Landon Collins. Welcome back to

the studio! The Giants needed the defense to step up. Lowe absolutely,

they had to have the turnover. Landon Collins has been playing well

this entire season. One of the State statistics on screen earlier, team

that has the 3-4 record only has 19% chance of making the playoffs. It is

almost must win., both these teams in competitive divisions where it is

going down to the wire. The Rams have the ability to win games in the

division even when they are not very good but for both teams right now

loss is going to be a problem. The official called the penalty

involved in that? It is incredible the way they market it and spin it

around. Can we see rugby growing to that? I hope so. What I like about

the NFL is the sport science that goes behind it. How everything is

the most advanced. They have four bus loads of people. They have water

guys for the water guys and everything is taken care of. If

rugby keeps being commercial, it will end up like that. Jo r go and

rest of his offense? If I knew that I would still be playing. Give me an

idea. It is all protection. He's at the point now where he feels the

most dangerous defense is. He wants the line to know that.

37. Picks up three on the play and he is brought down by Barron on the

far side. Some of the calls that Manning makes, he doesn't give that

open ma what call that his brother made so they mouse. I have heard a

Trump call at times, I wonder if he has to Hilary as much time!

They go onside and Gaines has got in the way of Beckham and there is no

flag. That is two times in a row now the Rams have got to Manning. The

first time off to Rashad Jennings, but that time he had no chance.

When the ball is fumbled, what do you do next? It is wild underneath

there. You try and get the ball, especially in a pile like that

anything goes. You try and get out. You are punching, you are kicking.

Nobody can see. You can see that as well, two Rams together. That is

like the worst place on earth. Right right there. Everything goes on down

there, punching kicking. Pulling the hairs on your leg. Trying to break

fingers. Looks messy. We have not seen it yet, but when you draw, if

you are defensive and if you draw that holding penalty, especially in

a situation like that, especially for the defense, it is as good as a

sack. No question about that. You are looking at the Giants a and they

are getting pressure on the quarterback.

Got the hold and all you have to do is affect the quarterback in a

fashion and they have been able to do that. There is an interesting

case, fraction of seconds is what it is 0.5 of a second, more time he has

to throw... Most quarterbacks will be like that. They will dissect you.

You get pressure, not so much. And keep keep makes a great play. Gets

Just like in the states, you've got all the medical personnel in the

press box observing at all the personnel that normally on the

sideline and then all the London personnel medically that are added

to the games being played here in London, whether at Wembley or here

at Twickenham. I don't know if they are trying to undo his straps around

What is it like when one of your team-mates go down like that?

After a minute or two we are on to the next play. It seems really

brutal, but that is the way we are raised. I was standing in the huddle

next to our quarterback when they put his shoulder back in after it

was dislocated on the sack. When I heard that, I was like... I needed a

week off! THE COMMENTATOR: As he catches his

breath and is being attended to by the medical trainers and medical

LA Rams, the second to the New York Giants, getting on the board there.

social media, Collins with the most rugby-looking touchdown ever.

Beautiful stuff. Ten-appease at the half.

And it has been an interesting half. Neither offense has managed to get

anything going at all. That is what we suspected might happen going into

it. 107 passing yards for. Ten a piece at half time. Is that a

fair score? I think so. Both these teams would look at those,

especially those rushing yards. Only 19 for the Giants. 41 for the Rams.

They would think, we should do better than that. It is crucial to

the Rams. The Giants, 19, it's nothing. You cannot really win. We

have talked about how good this Rams defense is. Is the Giants' playing

badly? The Rams is playing extremely well. I am inpressed. The DBs are

looking down the receivers. They are generating some pressure on Eli

Manning. They have been able to throw the offense out of sorts. They

are playing well. How do the Giants change this in the second half? They

have got to get the ball to OBJ and try something. They are not having

success playing the ball. We talked about Beckham's injury. He's

obviously done little in the first half, how does he look to you? You

cannot tell. He's not opened it up. Maybe that is the reason. Maybe he's

nursing something. We were talking before about the way they are

running. It has all been traps and draws and designed to take advantage

of St Louis's movement up front. And at some point they need to play

straight ahead and see what they do and try and get them on the back

foot and slow them down a little bit. Beckham is one of the players

we keyed in on at the start of the show and so was Tavon Austin. He was

instrumental in the Rams first score of the day. Take us through this

one. What you will see is him coming

through the middle and the guy underneath pulls it open. If you

compare his slant to Beckham's, it is not as finely run. You see there,

the linebacker coming forward, but it doesn't have to be, because that

safety is waiting to see what happens before he comes off. And

then Austin makes the catch in the end zone. When we were talking about

that, the comparison between Beckham and Austin, you make the point that

Austin is an out and out receiver. You said he's versatile and can play

in a lot of positions. He is because of his size, you put him on the

outside. He's not a tight route runner. You want to put him anywhere

and get him in space. Wide receivers, it is the kind of players

they would run for Tavon Austin. And the Giants don't have a Tavon Austin

really. You are right. They don't. So it is the defense that came to

the party and got them on the board. I am sure this put a big smile on

your face. This is incredible. The ball will bounce up for Austin. He

will catch it. Look at the runs this guy is making! Going from one side

of the field to another. Looking like a running back. Doing something

that my good friend Jason Bell is able to do. I have got to give it to

Jason... Tips and overthrows. That is how you get interceptions. That

is what happened. And the agility when you look at a defensive player,

he's like a running man. We don't get the ball in our hands too much,

so when we do, we have to show our skills. This is what he's doing. I

take back what I said, I think Austin should have caught it. It is

on him. Have you noticed the amount of

pressure the Giants are bringing, whether it is bringing a safety,

whether it is them, they are playing very well. They are really

surprised. #8 Keep keep has had three

interceptions. No other quarterback has had more than one. So that

pressure really getting to the Rams. Look at the quarterback stats and

you can see them on the screen right now. Not a prolific half runner from

either player. 21 passes from 107 yards. That is

the key. They are not throwing anything that's very long. They want

to get the running game going. That is easier said than done. How do the

Giants do that in the second half? They have to get created. Get some

balls down the field to make that defensive backup.

Come on in here, my friend. How are you? I am good. How are you? I

cannot complain. You look like a tank. You look like you lift. It is

exciting to see the NFL coming to Twickenham. A big fan? A big fan. :

Unfortunately I am a Jets fan. Because you are a Jets fan I will go

extra hard on you today. You are still in excellent shape,

man. Yes. Kind of sexy. Don't mind me saying. Apparently American

football is twice as physical as rugby. How do you feel about that? I

can see the argument it is twice as physical. I think the impacts are

hands above what we get in rugby. We get more of a repetitive load,

whereas you get a one-shot knock-out. I've had my injuries,

I've had knees, bicep. I've had five knee surgeries, hip surgery. I tore

cartilage in my knee. Stitched it. I had that once. You know what I'm

talking about. As a fan of NFL I have seen from how hard knocks to

how Ruthlet the sport can be. Guys can turn up for a few games and turn

up in preseason thand are on their own. In rugby we usually have a

season or so security. It is tough. Even though we are a family and one,

you know at the end of the day you are playing for yourself. And you

have to go out there every single week and perform. If you don't

perform, you are gone. 23 bench presses. It is unchartered

territory. Probably do 60 just to warm up. I think you set me up. I

think 225 eds. This is like sink or swim now!

I'll be like, cut, cut, cut the music. That didn't happen! Are you

ready? Let's do it! One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight...

Given all you have been through, all the injuries and all the scars that

you have right now, would you do it all over again? In a heart beat. Me

too! I play for my country. I have won the Premiership title. I have

won a Lions series. I wouldn't trade one of those experiences. You have

to get this last one. 23... ... There it is.

You got to 20 pretty easy. And dropped all of a sudden. Coming to

the game at Twickenham? Definitely. As we are in Twickenham let's get

Anthony Watson now. How are you? All good. How long have you followed the

NFL? Two or three years now. Mostly in the last year, you know, I have

been watching a lot of red zone on Sundays and we've got a little

fantasy group at Bath, so all the boys are giving each other banter

and stuff. How is the fantasy team doing? I am three-in-three.

There is a good question to start off with. What happened with fantasy

rugby? I don't know. I think it's, as a player, you are not allowed to

have a fantasy team in rugby. I leave that to my parents and stuff.

Jonathan jops said you might fancy a go at the NFL, is that about right?

It is not something I would rule out, for sure. It is an unbelievable

sport. I think the freedom they get to express themselves is something

which is attractive to me. I think it is a great spectacle. It is

great, it is a great sport to be involved with. So, yeah, it is

definitely something I wouldn't rule out. Do you think he has the

potential? I have studied this man. He has the size, the speed and the

pace as we like to call it out here. A winger, a receiver. A phenomenal

athlete. We will open yo you with -- welcome you with open arms. We are

seeing more sportsmen making the transition into the NFL, is that a

trend that will continue? I think so. We know the amount of money. You

will see more and more players trying to make that leap. It is not

like sock ker where you have to at a young age. In the NFL, you are a

great athlete and you can run, you can teach that guy how to be a

football player. Any position? You don't want to be a quarterback. But

a guy like a receiver, if he has the skills this man has, or running

back, which is more instinctive you can teach them to be a running back,

they will be more successful. Which positions do you look at when you

watch the NFL? To the wide receivers. I like to watch their

footwork when they get the ball in their hands and their ability to

exploit space and stuff like that. It is awesome to watch. And running

backwards as -- and running guys as well, seeing how they manoeuvre

themselves out of positions where they look compromised. How do you

find the difference between styles of play over a receiver or a runner

back in the way you would be running in rugby? ? I think the receivers is

similar to when a winger gets the ball. Both are comparable to where a

winger would touch the ball. Sometimes you will be in a confined

area in the wing, pressure on you. That is similar to a running back, I

guess. Other times you get the ball from the kick counter, again when

you have got space. Sip particular to a punt re-- similar to a punt

return. On the outside, one block and a couple of guys in front of

him. That is like taking a long pass in rugby? Exactly. Just like that.

It is something I like to watch and see how the guys manoeuvre in areas

like that. This is a question of Weasley often

thrown around by British fans, people suggest rugby is a tougher

game. It is hard to compare the two until you have pads and helmets but

I think that increases the physicality. If you want to contrast

them, you might be prone to different injuries. It is difficult

to say without having played both. Fast and explosive game. Fundamental

game is that is more free-flowing. Cobb absolutely, there is more

running in rugby, definitely it is different like that. In this game it

is even Stevens at half-time, who is your money on. Kerr and the Giants

fan. No wonder he invited him. How confident are you this season? It

has been a bit Jekyll and Hyde? Four pretty confident, the guys talk

about trying to get OBJ on the ball, we saw what he could do last week

with those two touchdowns. I would like to see more of that. Does he

seem out of sorts? I would not say so. Obviously had very limited

touches so far. Waiting for the first penalty in international rugby

for unnecessary celebration. It will not come any time soon. Gentleman

sport. Still a bit more time before the second half. Outside of the

Giants, which other teams have you seen this season that could be

contenders which Mark Vira I think the Eagles are looking pretty good.

Carson rents has been going pretty well. And I think the Vikings are

still undefeated. -- Carson it will be pretty closely matched

competition. What about the first game ever at Twickenham, what next

for the NFL over here? I think it is great, talking about potentially

having a team head, that would be unbelievable. Having these regular
