And it will be time for the two teams to settle it... The ball off | :00:10. | :00:17.
the near side... And he's looking down field... | :00:18. | :00:24.
Unbelievable! Yes, yes! How did he do that? He's | :00:25. | :00:29.
got it. Hello and welcome to Twickenham for | :00:30. | :00:40.
the second of this season's Bridgestone international series. | :00:41. | :00:44.
Today the home of rugby hosts the NFL for the very first time. Much | :00:45. | :00:47.
like our special relationship with our American friends, there's a lot | :00:48. | :00:51.
more that connects the two sports than divides them. | :00:52. | :01:05.
The New York Giants verses the LA Rams. A heavy-weight line-up. All | :01:06. | :02:00.
three of my guests providing insight throughout the afternoon, along with | :02:01. | :02:04.
special guests. Our two teams today play in the NFC conference in the | :02:05. | :02:08.
NFL. They are in different divisions. The Giants are bottom of | :02:09. | :02:14.
the NEC East. They are alive and kicking with a 3-3 record. They will | :02:15. | :02:18.
consider themselves in the hunt for the playoffs. You can see the | :02:19. | :02:21.
daylight between the Cowboys and so the latter may have to settle for a | :02:22. | :02:27.
wildcard spot. In the NFL only the division winners are guaranteed a | :02:28. | :02:32.
playoff. In the West, the Rams back in LA for the first time in season | :02:33. | :02:38.
thasmt've had three wins and three defeats T Seahawks within touching | :02:39. | :02:42.
distance in that division. It is a huge pressure on both teams today. | :02:43. | :02:47.
One will travel back with a winning record. The Rams are the de facto | :02:48. | :02:52.
home team. They have been in town all week, getting a lot of attention | :02:53. | :02:57.
from the media, including our reporter, who went in search of one | :02:58. | :03:01.
of their stars. That was Case Keenum. | :03:02. | :03:15.
Welcome to the UK. How important it is for you to get here early to have | :03:16. | :03:19.
the break after the weekend? Each time you don't win you don't | :03:20. | :03:23.
accomplish all your goals. I think it takes time to look back, review | :03:24. | :03:27.
the film and learn from your mistakes. Guys did that, and ready | :03:28. | :03:32.
to move on. It will be on the practise field, ready to look | :03:33. | :03:35.
forward to the next week and exciting that we're here in London. | :03:36. | :03:39.
How different has it been knowing you have been starting as | :03:40. | :03:44.
quarterback but Jared Goff is waiting in the wings? I find if you | :03:45. | :03:50.
look too far behind, or look too far ahead, you get overwhelmed with | :03:51. | :03:53.
things. I try to look right now on my job to do right now. And that is | :03:54. | :03:57.
practise and then get ready for tomorrow. And we see you and Jared | :03:58. | :04:03.
out in practise talking. Do you talk about this potential rivalry? You | :04:04. | :04:07.
know, we both try to help each other out. It is good to have more than | :04:08. | :04:11.
one set of eyes looking at a defense. I can see some things, he | :04:12. | :04:14.
can see some things and sometimes when you are removed from the | :04:15. | :04:18.
situation gooed to have an objective point of view of things. We help | :04:19. | :04:24.
each other out. If you think back to 2012 when you were undrafted, you | :04:25. | :04:29.
used that to your advantage. Is it about proving people wrong? A little | :04:30. | :04:33.
bit. I like to prove people right. Those who believed in me, my | :04:34. | :04:38.
friends, my coaches, more than I like to prove people wrong. It does | :04:39. | :04:42.
feel good when you prove them wrong too. | :04:43. | :04:46.
So you are three in three. You are an old Houston boy. You know the | :04:47. | :04:54.
Super Bowl is in Houston, do you look around this team and think, | :04:55. | :04:58.
yes, we've got the potential to do it? Yes I think so. Houston, a long | :04:59. | :05:03.
way off, but it is exciting to think about going back home and to play | :05:04. | :05:07.
there would be a dream come true. Given that, does that make this | :05:08. | :05:11.
weekend make or break? You know, each week is important. Looking back | :05:12. | :05:15.
after the season, you never know what game is the one that mattered, | :05:16. | :05:19.
if you could take one play from one game and change that and it changes | :05:20. | :05:24.
the season. So that why we approach each practise with everything we've | :05:25. | :05:27.
got. We approach each game with everything we've got. And the guys | :05:28. | :05:34.
receiving it, like Gurley, how important have they been? It is a | :05:35. | :05:41.
great job. My receivers as well. All of the guys, they have done a | :05:42. | :05:46.
really good job and have come on lately too, playing really well. | :05:47. | :05:48.
They are hungry. They want the football. They want guys who want | :05:49. | :05:51.
the football. They are excited. He's not the most high profile | :05:52. | :06:02.
player in the NFL, but last week against the Lions he showed what he | :06:03. | :06:06.
was capable of for a lot of the game. That was against the Lions. | :06:07. | :06:13.
People forget he started the end of last season, they went four in one | :06:14. | :06:16.
for the four games. People concentrate on what he can't do, | :06:17. | :06:22.
which is he doesn't have a real strong... He's not the strongest | :06:23. | :06:27.
guy. He wants a run-orientated team. He wants to turn the ball over. He's | :06:28. | :06:31.
accurate enough when he throws. That is what they want most from him, his | :06:32. | :06:36.
accuracy. As we heard in the interview they have spent big on | :06:37. | :06:39.
Jared Goff. They reached up for him in the draft. He was expected by | :06:40. | :06:42.
many people to start this season at least by now. So the plan has not | :06:43. | :06:46.
gone as they hoped, has it? It hasn't gone as they hoped. It is | :06:47. | :06:50.
because in college he didn't run in offense. He has to get caught up to | :06:51. | :06:54.
speed and get it under his belt, which is very difficult in the NFL. | :06:55. | :06:59.
You mentioned Todd Gurley, a very talented player in this heavy | :07:00. | :07:03.
offense which is what Jeff Fisher wants to run, of course. But it has | :07:04. | :07:07.
not been going to plan so far, has it? Not at all. That is a big | :07:08. | :07:12.
problem for the las ang gles Rams. Based on defense, running the | :07:13. | :07:15.
football. They have not been able to run the ball well. If they continue | :07:16. | :07:19.
not to run the ball well they will be very unsuccessful in the future. | :07:20. | :07:24.
He has to get help from his friends, the offensive line has not given him | :07:25. | :07:27.
time. They are worried about pass protection. He has the talent to be | :07:28. | :07:31.
the next Peter son in this league. If you think back to when Jeff | :07:32. | :07:36.
Fisher used to coach winning teams back in Tennessee they were built | :07:37. | :07:42.
around George running the ball, five, six times a game. They want | :07:43. | :07:46.
Gurley to be the whoun loves it. He was coming into the NFL off a bad | :07:47. | :07:51.
injury. You cannot make him a workhorse off that. The Giants' | :07:52. | :07:57.
offensive line, protecting Eli Manning and co against the Rams | :07:58. | :08:03.
defensive line. That is led by Donald. The most. This is a | :08:04. | :08:07.
defensive tackle. Quick, fast can do everything. He plays the run and | :08:08. | :08:11.
rushes the pass. As a matter of fact he rushes the pass and plays the run | :08:12. | :08:18.
on his way toback. Cannot forget about Quinn also. | :08:19. | :08:25.
We saw about five different moves there on one rush from Donald. He is | :08:26. | :08:29.
tremendous. Now, you can hear Craig David | :08:30. | :08:34.
performing behind us. He sold over 30 million albums worldwide, of | :08:35. | :08:37.
course and in the middle of a successful comeback. A new album and | :08:38. | :08:39.
a new tour to look forward to. # Ain't giving up on you... | :08:40. | :08:53.
Speaking of comebacks, we were getting into that. Speaking of | :08:54. | :08:57.
comebacks, there are few in the NFL more experienced than dragging his | :08:58. | :09:00.
team from the brinks than Eli Manning. Seeing as OJ are not one | :09:01. | :09:05.
but two Super Bowls with the Giants who better to get the lowdown on one | :09:06. | :09:11.
of the best in the business. Listen all you New Yorkers... Let's show | :09:12. | :09:18.
them what we all do. Eli Manning... | :09:19. | :09:29.
Eli... My man, Eli! Look at him! Eli Manning... The champion. | :09:30. | :09:38.
You've got to make it happen... My man, my main guy. Played ten years | :09:39. | :09:43.
with you. How you? Doing great. How are you? Enjoying myself. We played | :09:44. | :09:49.
here in the first international series back in '07. You scored a | :09:50. | :09:53.
rush down touch in that game and showed off your speed. | :09:54. | :10:00.
Eli Manning and he will waltz into the end zone. | :10:01. | :10:03.
Some people have it. I am very blessed. | :10:04. | :10:08.
What are your memories of that game and the way London was and how we | :10:09. | :10:12.
were received back then? Obviously the first time, the crowd was kind | :10:13. | :10:17.
of cheering at odd times. You would have a ten-yard pass and they were | :10:18. | :10:22.
cheering like... Hey, you played ten yards, that is pretty fast. You had | :10:23. | :10:29.
a 3nd 1, it is like that is boring. Where's the action. They | :10:30. | :10:34.
like the fights, the punts and, you know, so ten years later, going to | :10:35. | :10:39.
enter and see how the crowd reacts. Looking forward to it. | :10:40. | :10:45.
Hurry-up... You guys haven't made the playoffs in four years and I | :10:46. | :10:49.
know that weighs heavy on your heart. How will you rectify that | :10:50. | :10:54.
this year? We have ways to win the close games. Last year we lost a | :10:55. | :10:58.
tonne of close ones. We had a chance to win and couldn't go down and | :10:59. | :11:02.
score. We did a good job winning a few of them, but not enough. It is | :11:03. | :11:05.
that mind set, it is that belief, it is that trust, when it gets to the | :11:06. | :11:11.
fourth quarter we will make the play. Defense and stop when you need | :11:12. | :11:18.
it. It's about everybody believing. What about the turnover on thes are | :11:19. | :11:22.
ter, last time we won the championship was back in 2012. There | :11:23. | :11:26.
are only four players remaining on that particular team. Do you feel | :11:27. | :11:32.
like a dinosaur? Yes, you know, that's the NFL. You learn that | :11:33. | :11:37.
quickly. The NFL, you are there three years it is a lifetime. We | :11:38. | :11:42.
have guys going into that second, third year. Those are the best teams | :11:43. | :11:48.
when you have the great family. Going to the end zone... | :11:49. | :11:54.
Touchdown... I don't know how superstitious you are. Last time the | :11:55. | :11:59.
Giants were here, you know how it ended last season. Super Bowl. | :12:00. | :12:07.
That's right. . Want to do our job, get a win here and make it possible. | :12:08. | :12:13.
Eli seems unassuming, very mild mannered. For a quarterback that is | :12:14. | :12:20.
an attribute because he's calm under pressure. Others think they need to | :12:21. | :12:24.
be big and brash. Sometimes he gets criticism for that. He is big and | :12:25. | :12:28.
brash on the inside. He doesn't let it come out. He is a competitor who | :12:29. | :12:33.
believes in himself. He gets the job done for the New York Giants week | :12:34. | :12:39.
in, week out. He puts it out there for his team. In a sense z what the | :12:40. | :12:46.
Giants' game has been about for years, get big plays out of Eli. The | :12:47. | :12:51.
last couple of years they have tried to play a more controlled game. | :12:52. | :12:54.
Shorter passes, don't turn the ball over as much. As you watch them, | :12:55. | :12:57.
they are still a big playing team. They depend on the big passes from | :12:58. | :13:03.
Eli, especially and to Cruz and whoever else is at the other | :13:04. | :13:11.
receiver spots. Odell Beckham - one of the superstars in the NFL right | :13:12. | :13:16.
now. He's coming to London on the up after a difficult season so far. | :13:17. | :13:20.
Yeah. He's a superstar. He's the heart beat of that team. He's so | :13:21. | :13:24.
explosive. He gets the crowd behind him and those guys feed off of him. | :13:25. | :13:28.
When he's playing well the defense picks it up. He is that team right | :13:29. | :13:35.
now. We are seeing some of him right now. Is there too much pressure on | :13:36. | :13:40.
him? He's taken around the world as an NFL ambassador? I wouldn't say | :13:41. | :13:45.
there's too much pressure on him. He brings this on himself with all the | :13:46. | :13:49.
things he does off the field. He has the blond hair. Great | :13:50. | :13:53.
responsibility, this is what will happen to players like this. At the | :13:54. | :13:57.
end of the day he's a great performance. This is last week | :13:58. | :14:02.
against the Ravens and Beckham, that was their offense. You play | :14:03. | :14:08.
quarterback, how would you feel about covering Odell Beckham? | :14:09. | :14:13.
Dangerous. You cannot give him any room. He's dangerous. Now we have | :14:14. | :14:18.
seen a lot of the Giants and you notice as well in the warm-up he was | :14:19. | :14:22.
coming into this game with injury concerns, and he didn't look right, | :14:23. | :14:26.
did he? He is walking around with a trainer and that is a red flag. You | :14:27. | :14:31.
are trying to get ready for your game, when the trainer is next to | :14:32. | :14:35.
you, that means you have an issue, a concern. We will watch this space | :14:36. | :14:40.
closely. On the defensive side of the board, the Giants re-upped in | :14:41. | :14:46.
the off season,s they are the worse defense in the NFL last time. They | :14:47. | :14:51.
spent big on Jenkins, five years, $62 million. Is he worth the money? | :14:52. | :14:57.
They got Jenkins from the Rams. He will know the receivers. He was the | :14:58. | :15:01.
second best quarterback on the Rams. That is crucial. He's a gambling | :15:02. | :15:07.
kind of guy. He likes to go and play people, take chances. That is the | :15:08. | :15:11.
same is true of all the other quarterbacks. It is a bad | :15:12. | :15:17.
combination. It is. I like gambling corners because they make plays. | :15:18. | :15:20.
They need corners and that is why they've got him. He's been the best | :15:21. | :15:26.
chance so far. Not only who is a good player. It is that guy right | :15:27. | :15:29.
there. He's been playing phenomenal football. It could be a close game | :15:30. | :15:34.
and may end up being crucial that the Giants have a brand new kicker | :15:35. | :15:36.
going into this game. Josh Brown is suspended while the | :15:37. | :15:49.
NFL is investigating domestic abuse, so they have signed Robbie Gold, who | :15:50. | :15:52.
used to be with the Bears. Until they decide punishment will not be | :15:53. | :15:59.
playing. As we heard Eli Manning already has two Super Bowl rings and | :16:00. | :16:02.
he has plenty of gas left in the tank, one of the top ten | :16:03. | :16:06.
quarterbacks of all time in passing yardage. He could move up the list | :16:07. | :16:11.
into ninth today with our heart decent day. Let's have a look at the | :16:12. | :16:13.
illustrious company he finds himself in. | :16:14. | :17:37.
In a passer dominated NFL, more so than ever before for, even so it | :17:38. | :17:44.
makes his achievement getting on that list pretty special. There is | :17:45. | :17:48.
something about being that good for that long. That is worth credit | :17:49. | :17:54.
itself. Even if you are not arguably the best in any given era. That is | :17:55. | :17:59.
the story for him, being that good for 38 -- for that long. You have to | :18:00. | :18:08.
be healthy and stay on the field. ESPN on Twitter earlier, saying the | :18:09. | :18:12.
best selling NFL jerseys in the UK this year, Odell Beckham first, then | :18:13. | :18:19.
Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers. Odell Beckham Jr number one. And he has | :18:20. | :18:24.
that same last name. I know how much you love what about. They are about | :18:25. | :18:30.
to take the field here at Twickenham, and the NFL already is | :18:31. | :18:35.
does that with plenty of style so let's meet the New York Giants first | :18:36. | :18:53.
up. The crowd is electric. One, two, three, New York Giants. Let's go out | :18:54. | :19:04.
there like a bunch of crazed dogs. Don't let anybody tell you you | :19:05. | :19:05.
couldn't do it. Believe, believe, the leave. All | :19:06. | :19:32.
out, all baby. The Giants have finished off the Patriots. Touchdown | :19:33. | :19:40.
Giants. Please welcome, the 2016 New York | :19:41. | :19:55.
Giants. STUDIO: That must be giving you | :19:56. | :20:16.
goose bumps. Seeing the new players, the tradition, the Giants have a | :20:17. | :20:21.
rich traditions of this is awesome. Officially the Rams of home team, | :20:22. | :20:26.
and they have come away from LA to entertain us. Our mission. We don't | :20:27. | :20:36.
like them, they'd like us. Over the top. That is the first | :20:37. | :21:04.
touchdown for Pele. The pocket collapses. -- LAA. Google tree is | :21:05. | :21:09.
in. Into the Sheldon, up in the air for the go-ahead | :21:10. | :21:21.
touchdown. The Rams travelling on NFL- 37,000 | :21:22. | :22:11.
miles, this season, that is a lot. That wears you out, that is hard as | :22:12. | :22:17.
a player. The Rams arrived on Monday, the Giants on Friday. | :22:18. | :22:21.
Different from Wembley when both teams decided to come May. Teams | :22:22. | :22:25.
vary on how they approach this. What do you prefer? I would not want to | :22:26. | :22:32.
come too early, but not on Friday either. You need enough time to | :22:33. | :22:37.
adjust. And you want to experience London, have some fun. I think | :22:38. | :22:42.
Wednesday would be perfect. I've already experienced London so I | :22:43. | :22:46.
would prefer the short week. I was convinced the short on works better | :22:47. | :22:49.
and results seem to show that but now they kick off earlier, not 6pm, | :22:50. | :22:54.
so I'm not sure that the team that travels short is yet adjusted to the | :22:55. | :22:59.
time. Particularly a West Coast team. They have been here all week. | :23:00. | :23:05.
For the it works well. Tavon Austin we did not mention earlier so let's | :23:06. | :23:09.
take a look. Another with the big contract this summer, 26 catches, | :23:10. | :23:15.
242 yards, pretty versatile. And he is a big play Guy, the Rams depend | :23:16. | :23:20.
on that. They try to keep you tight. Returning up punt. Nearly as much | :23:21. | :23:31.
yardage from scrimmage as a receiver last year. Three or four times a | :23:32. | :23:36.
game on set plays simply because they want the ball in his hand. How | :23:37. | :23:42.
do they get the best out of him, do they know? Get him the ball quick, | :23:43. | :23:48.
here is that kind of play, get him in space. LA with the team for the | :23:49. | :23:53.
first time in 20 years, they needed a team in LA. No question: huge | :23:54. | :23:59.
market. New York and LA playing in London, free of the biggest cities | :24:00. | :24:05.
in the world, Los Angeles here, they need that. There were not high hopes | :24:06. | :24:10.
that they have shown promise and they need to keep it going. Big | :24:11. | :24:14.
surprise in a very tough division, the Seattle playing this weekend. In | :24:15. | :24:24.
the early 50s the LA Rams were the most exciting team NFL, then they | :24:25. | :24:30.
were the biggest defensive team of the 50s with Olsen, Jones, the | :24:31. | :24:33.
fearsome foursome. Then they became offensive again with Lewis. Did they | :24:34. | :24:41.
sell any tickets then? We couldn't afford any. You can keep in touch | :24:42. | :24:47.
with us on social media. Get your questions in and your reaction to | :24:48. | :24:50.
the game as it unfolds. Laura will be singing God Save The Queen in a | :24:51. | :24:58.
few moments. The first up the star sat | :24:59. | :25:01.
the Star-Spangled Banner with Nicole Scherzinger. Ladies and judgment, | :25:02. | :25:12.
please stand and remove your hats, please welcome international | :25:13. | :25:13.
recording artist Nicole Scherzinger. CHEERING | :25:14. | :27:06.
Now, to sing the national anthem of Great Britain, please welcome | :27:07. | :27:14.
world-renowned mezzo-soprano Laura Wright. | :27:15. | :27:25.
STUDIO: Terrific stuff, all afternoon we will be bringing the | :27:26. | :28:10.
analysis in the studio during breaks in the connection will be called by | :28:11. | :28:16.
the US, treating including former NFL quarterback Dan Fouts. Who | :28:17. | :28:27.
better, your aggression quarterback knew no bounds. You would love to be | :28:28. | :28:30.
routed question no, I am much too old. It is great to be hit, | :28:31. | :28:35.
absolutely. It will be an exciting game. I wish I could tell you who | :28:36. | :28:40.
will win but I don't know because they are evenly matched., OK, off | :28:41. | :28:45.
you go! Let's talk about the quarterbacks, your position. For | :28:46. | :28:50.
both sides who has the stronger? Eli Manning has been there and he has | :28:51. | :28:54.
got two Super Bowl is, Case Keenum is an up-and-coming quarterback. Eli | :28:55. | :28:59.
has Odell Beckham and he is one of the most exciting if not the | :29:00. | :29:02.
exciting player in the game right now. That combination should give | :29:03. | :29:08.
the Giants the edge. Are we going to see Beckham turn up? I hope so. What | :29:09. | :29:17.
he does is so unusual. So dangerous after he catches the ball and tried | :29:18. | :29:22.
to run for the touchdown. That is what I am anxious to watch and that | :29:23. | :29:28.
is what I have been eager to see him fight. You had better put two men on | :29:29. | :29:33.
him and at times that is not good enough. That is the best way to stop | :29:34. | :29:37.
him. We will let you go, I know you favoured my half and half staff, | :29:38. | :29:41.
perhaps you can take it. The fans can only see the Rams' side. I'm | :29:42. | :29:48.
turning on you. Thank you. Almost ready for kick off at Twickenham, | :29:49. | :29:53.
couple of quick messages on Twitter, Luke has got in touch. Can't wait to | :29:54. | :30:02.
watch OBJ, not long now. He was an injury doubt going into this one. | :30:03. | :30:05.
Not much about the Giants' defense in terms of pressure on the QB, you | :30:06. | :30:11.
made your name for that in those great Giants teams. | :30:12. | :30:16.
They have been getting good pressure. You pay that amount to | :30:17. | :30:22.
those players to get to the quarterback and they don't bring | :30:23. | :30:26.
them down, it is a problem. I have a sneaky suspicion that today is the | :30:27. | :30:30.
day they will get it done. Do you buy into that? Will it be the break | :30:31. | :30:34.
through? It has to come sooner than later. I go back to this idea where | :30:35. | :30:45.
Olivier was the second option and he was yood to somebody else getting | :30:46. | :30:51.
all the attention. Best when you are singled out like | :30:52. | :30:55.
that when you are second best rusher. I was always the best. | :30:56. | :31:02.
Mike said that the Rams are one of the surprise packages this season so | :31:03. | :31:07.
far. What is their ceiling? How far can this team go? I think they can | :31:08. | :31:13.
do well. They have to get to grip with the penalties. They are great | :31:14. | :31:16.
on defense. They cannot hurt themselves for penalties. Sit back | :31:17. | :31:21.
and relax. Enjoy New York verses LA in London. You heard a moment ago | :31:22. | :31:27.
from Dan Fouts. He will comment tat alongside Kevin. | :31:28. | :31:37.
THE COMMENTATOR: Harris is back for the Giants. | :31:38. | :31:43.
He said that the Giants feel good about their chances to return. Jeff | :31:44. | :31:48.
Fisher says, we are going to bang it out of the back of the end zone. | :31:49. | :31:52.
Longest kick back from Harris was against the Vikings. That was 44 | :31:53. | :31:57.
yards. He will put himself down to a knee with a touchback for the | :31:58. | :31:59.
25-yard line. And this will be a 1st 25-yard line. And this will be a 1st | :32:00. | :32:05.
10. We talked to Eli Manning yesterday and Eli, at 35 years of | :32:06. | :32:08.
age, as we talked about before, coming off a career season a year | :32:09. | :32:15.
ago. A big game last week. Four header and three yards against the | :32:16. | :32:20.
Ravens, including the game winner. The slap route. | :32:21. | :32:28.
Took 66 yards. 1st 106789 And Rashad Jennings brought | :32:29. | :32:37.
down behind the line of scrimmage by Maurice Alexander. He's been playing | :32:38. | :32:43.
well in that position for LA. He's on the line of scrimmage. The Giants | :32:44. | :32:45.
go to the line of scrimmage. 2nd down 8. | :32:46. | :33:17.
Picked up on the play this is vk coupled in by Gaines who gets the | :33:18. | :33:22.
turnover. That is a problem for the Giants, who are -11. His sixth | :33:23. | :33:32.
fumble over his career. He's lost all five. You can see the double | :33:33. | :33:45.
team tackle there as Joyner is on the ball. | :33:46. | :33:49.
All turnovers are reviewed. All scoring plays are reviewed. That is | :33:50. | :33:56.
the hold up right now. Crossing the middle. | :33:57. | :34:04.
Review... They will see if that knee was down when he was hit. | :34:05. | :34:17.
Seconds into the game here in London... | :34:18. | :34:23.
The noise meant we couldn't hear ourselves. That shows what the | :34:24. | :34:29.
atmosphere will be like and the pressure that will be on these | :34:30. | :34:37.
players? Both teams are 3 367893 46789 I will ask myself do I have | :34:38. | :34:42.
one more snap? Does he? You know what, he looks like it. We're both | :34:43. | :34:46.
very honoured to be here as ambassadors of the NFL. I was part | :34:47. | :34:52.
of the '07 New York Giants team that played here. It is like night and | :34:53. | :34:59.
day being here to play all week. Seeing the fans, seeing how much | :35:00. | :35:01.
more knowledge they have of the game. This will be a home-based team | :35:02. | :35:07.
for an NFL team. I love how he brought up 2007. We know what | :35:08. | :35:10.
happened for the Giants after that. Did they get on a roll after that? | :35:11. | :35:16.
They might have won something small. This trip to London was a huge | :35:17. | :35:19.
advantage for us as a football team. It was at a time we were struggling | :35:20. | :35:23.
as a football team. It was almost like going back to training camp. We | :35:24. | :35:27.
were here by ourselves with our football team and that win over the | :35:28. | :35:31.
Dolphins propelled us for the rest of the season. Typical Giant. I | :35:32. | :35:40.
played at the old Wembley Stadium, 2007. What I really remember is the | :35:41. | :35:45.
fans being into it. They were excited. They were in tears. They | :35:46. | :35:50.
were felling all that Paddy Ashdown shuvenlt they were feeding off it. I | :35:51. | :35:55.
remember a great fanbase here. Once a pro-always a pro-. -- once a pro | :35:56. | :36:06.
always a pro. I know you want to get back to the action. | :36:07. | :36:10.
THE COMMENTATOR: Clearly a fumble. We will hear exactly that. There was | :36:11. | :36:15.
a fumble on the play. It was recovered by las ening gles. The | :36:16. | :36:20.
recovering player was touchdown at the 35-yard line. 1st 10 on the | :36:21. | :36:27.
35. 14 minutes, 25 seconds, please. 14. 25 on the game card. Clearly a | :36:28. | :36:36.
fumble. Lamarcus Joyner put his shoulder on the ball. Gaines is made | :36:37. | :36:45.
contact with. The 16th consecutive game the Giants | :36:46. | :36:49.
have turned the ball over. That is the longest current streak in the | :36:50. | :36:53.
league. They are dead last in the give away take away this year. Now | :36:54. | :36:57.
-11. 1st 106789 down to the 33-yard | :36:58. | :37:09.
line. Hit by a couple on the play, including Vemon. | :37:10. | :37:14.
We talked about that hot streak where he completed 19 in a row. He | :37:15. | :37:20.
must get into that same zone today and establish that attack mode. It | :37:21. | :37:23.
will sustain him through the game. Over 1,000 yards a season ago in his | :37:24. | :37:33.
rookie year. 2nd 8. | :37:34. | :37:38.
A nice catch and a tackle made by Robinson. It is the tight end, Lance | :37:39. | :37:55.
Kendricks, to the Giants 26. Five reception games for the coach, | :37:56. | :37:58.
Jeff Fisher. Here they go with a couple of tight | :37:59. | :38:02.
ends. 3rd 1. Austin in motion. | :38:03. | :38:16.
The first down of the 19 of New York. The tackle made Biharry son. | :38:17. | :38:25.
Havenstein on that right side. A good push right here. | :38:26. | :38:35.
Lowers his shoulders. Within range for the Rams. | :38:36. | :38:39.
I thought he was getting more of his rhythm last week. | :38:40. | :38:50.
And Austin fumbles the ball. He goes to the farside and out of bounds and | :38:51. | :39:00.
it still stays with the Rams, as Gurley got the wildcat snap. | :39:01. | :39:06.
Gurley with the snap. A good job with the exchange to Austin. Good | :39:07. | :39:10.
block on the outside by Kendricks there. Looked like Austin was down | :39:11. | :39:17.
before that ball came lose. Now the 14-yard line. It is a 1st | :39:18. | :39:22.
down. Austin is all over the place, isn't | :39:23. | :39:26.
he? They can put him in a lot of different positions. He's so quick | :39:27. | :39:30.
and dangerous with the ball in his hands. | :39:31. | :39:39.
The 1st 10. Running back down to about the 11-yard line and hit out | :39:40. | :39:44.
of play by a fourth year player out of Ohio state for the Giants. A | :39:45. | :39:51.
couple of wide, tall receiver, two of them at 6 foot three. They have | :39:52. | :39:56.
an advantage. Shepard came back in the defense for | :39:57. | :40:06.
New York and they've got four in their 2nd here. | :40:07. | :40:21.
It was almost pipped off. Almost grabbed on the play by Jason | :40:22. | :40:29.
Pierre-Paul. He rarely leaves the field. A 3-down player. 3rd 6 for | :40:30. | :40:36.
the Rams. Still looking to get a pass rush out of their front four. | :40:37. | :40:41.
This is a real good blitz that time. The ball, knocked it in the air. | :40:42. | :40:49.
He almost had a free one. The Rams have this great field position. 3rd | :40:50. | :40:56.
7. That is caught for a touchdown. | :40:57. | :41:07.
Team on Austin. He beats Andrew Adams. | :41:08. | :41:15.
And the Rams cash in on the turnover by the Giants on a 10-yard | :41:16. | :41:21.
touchdown. That is a slant route by Austin in the slide, getting behind | :41:22. | :41:24.
the line backers, inside of the safety. Ball thrown behind him. A | :41:25. | :41:29.
great adjustment to the ball before Andrew Adams can get there to knock | :41:30. | :41:33.
it away. A great start for the Rams. A disastrous start for the Giants. | :41:34. | :41:39.
Austin has signed a contract extension this past training camp. | :41:40. | :41:42.
Comes down with his second touchdown this season. The Rams offense, 31 | :41:43. | :41:48.
and they have had a hard time going. Coming off some nice momentum from | :41:49. | :41:52.
last week when they were storing well, running it and throwing the | :41:53. | :41:59.
ball better, the 19th consecutive conclusions at one time. | :42:00. | :42:07.
11-15 to play in the first. Gaines picks out up. Reception with Austin | :42:08. | :42:26.
in the end zone. The New York Giants like to huddle off to put the | :42:27. | :42:30.
defense in the back foot. They is great in theory A terrible start for | :42:31. | :42:34.
them. Turnover, turnovers. You cannot turn the football over. This | :42:35. | :42:39.
is what used to drive the coach insane. And they have been doing it | :42:40. | :42:44.
for the past 16 games. You cannot have it. And you can see why they | :42:45. | :42:49.
reviewed it because right there, he's down. There is a little bit of | :42:50. | :42:54.
a touch to make sure he's down. When you get this, your man JPP had his | :42:55. | :43:01.
shot at six. He should have caught it. Didn't know the ball would come | :43:02. | :43:06.
like that. The line backers, on the quarterback, should have been a | :43:07. | :43:09.
turnover from the New York Giants. A well executed play for the | :43:10. | :43:14.
touchdown. You attack the touchdown safety. Number three, slide and | :43:15. | :43:20.
defend this route. Look underneath. See the tight end coming under. The | :43:21. | :43:25.
linebacker had, he has to step up and for that little window Austin is | :43:26. | :43:31.
wide open. Eli, sorry Keenum gets the | :43:32. | :43:38.
Raze It was said, this offense is improving. I think that is true. It | :43:39. | :43:45.
is true he'll take it if it is the in the middle pack. He thinks his | :43:46. | :43:50.
defense can keep them in games and the defense is special, the team can | :43:51. | :43:57.
produce points for him. The Broncos laid out the blueprint for that. | :43:58. | :44:02.
When you have somebody like Gurley you can control the game. You want | :44:03. | :44:07.
to play great defense. I don't care what he says, there's no way he | :44:08. | :44:13.
wants his offense... No way! It is the principal it is going up. He | :44:14. | :44:20.
played for the Chicago Bears. You think back to the 86 Bears. That was | :44:21. | :44:24.
their formula too. Coaches come up with a formula. They stick to what | :44:25. | :44:33.
they know. A great start for the LA Rams. See how the Giants can | :44:34. | :44:35.
counter. To Harris and in the end zone after | :44:36. | :44:45.
the 25-yard line and a touchback for the Giants. 1st down 10. | :44:46. | :45:29.
Caught by the Rookie, Sterling Shepard. Out of Oklahoma. Brought | :45:30. | :45:39.
down by TJ McDonald of the Rams secondary. Really unusual for a | :45:40. | :45:44.
rookie to be so effective out of the slot. He played in that position at | :45:45. | :45:49.
University of Oklahoma a lot. The Giants like Hezbollah to define the | :45:50. | :45:55.
space over the middle. -- the Giants like his ability to find the space | :45:56. | :45:57.
over the middle. Rashad Jennings up the middle, into | :45:58. | :46:12.
the grasp of Ethan Westbrooks. The Giants like to use the running back | :46:13. | :46:19.
by committee. They have 129 carries on the year. Todd Gurley by himself | :46:20. | :46:23.
has 123. Dropped, Victor Cruz. He dropped one | :46:24. | :46:47.
last week as well. Had the chance to get close to a 1st down. Cruise saw | :46:48. | :46:54.
EJ Gaines playing about ten yards off and he knew he had the 1st down | :46:55. | :47:01.
with the catch. Watch his eyes go to the down marker. -- Cruz. Just flat | :47:02. | :47:07.
dropped it. Up the middle, picked up by Weston | :47:08. | :47:23.
Richburg. Short, looking for Shepard and Will Tye was there as well. Troy | :47:24. | :47:28.
Hill with the coverage for the Rams. Here comes the punt. Good bits that | :47:29. | :47:35.
time right up the middle, forcing Manning to throw off his back foot. | :47:36. | :47:48.
That ball came out short. Tavon Austin is deep for the Rams. Low | :47:49. | :47:56.
snap. Austin lets it bounds into the end zone. Touchback. 20-yard line. A | :47:57. | :48:06.
player knocked down across the way, and players converging on him, now | :48:07. | :48:15.
they are separated. 61 yard punt. Nicole, we just saw you perform your | :48:16. | :48:20.
national anthem, what was that like? My gosh, I honestly could not be | :48:21. | :48:24.
more proud. This is my adopted home and to be here it is like, it is | :48:25. | :48:32.
crazy. I feel like I have been transported back to America, it | :48:33. | :48:36.
makes me miss my families so much. As soon as I walked in I got pork | :48:37. | :48:46.
and gravy, I love it. It is the spirit, the energy, festivity and | :48:47. | :48:48.
sportsmanship, passion, that is what I grew up with. It is just an honour | :48:49. | :48:54.
to perform my national anthem here. I thought you might sing ours as | :48:55. | :49:00.
well. Laura did a beautiful job. Say you are done, has that giving you | :49:01. | :49:05.
the passion to do it at the Super Bowl? Oh my gosh, I would love that, | :49:06. | :49:11.
singing at the Super Bowl, I've said it! I am starting the pussycat dolls | :49:12. | :49:19.
reunion. That would be really fun. Are you going for one of these | :49:20. | :49:22.
things? You are from Louisville, the Cardinals. My family actually, I am | :49:23. | :49:30.
not the biggest expert on NFL, but I grew up with my family loving | :49:31. | :49:36.
football. My family's favourite teams are Dallas Cowboys and | :49:37. | :49:38.
Minnesota Vikings. We are hoping that Teddy Bridgewater gets well, he | :49:39. | :49:45.
is actually from Louisville. So I said it sort of right, I am going | :49:46. | :49:49.
for that. You said you are an expert, we will get you up on | :49:50. | :49:53.
commentary. I said I am not! Thank you very much. Commentary' | :49:54. | :50:01.
Twickenham may be a rugby stadium, pitch as they call it, you can see a | :50:02. | :50:03.
lot of Giants jerseys. There are jerseys representing every | :50:04. | :50:17.
team here, 75,000 fans here. I have one of those hats if you want one. | :50:18. | :50:27.
After the punt. Case Keenum going deep, he has got his receiver, flag | :50:28. | :50:36.
throw, and he was working on the side. Working against Janoris | :50:37. | :50:43.
Jenkins, Brian Greg. Jenkins a high priced free agent signed by the | :50:44. | :50:49.
Giants. This will be against Jenkins. Before the pass was thrown, | :50:50. | :50:56.
illegal content, defense number 20. 48 yards. Brian Greg has two slow | :50:57. | :51:10.
down for this ball. Cumming overlaid, Adams, you can see the | :51:11. | :51:14.
illegal contact and the Rams go after their former team-mate. | :51:15. | :51:27.
Gurley. Finally wrestled down by Devon Kennard. Pick up of five. | :51:28. | :51:37.
Positive gain on 1st down for Gurley and the Rams. | :51:38. | :51:58.
Case Keenum played at the University of Houston, then the Texans before | :51:59. | :52:05.
being traded to the Rams. Cunningham with only his seventh carry of the | :52:06. | :52:11.
season. Hit by Harrison. They might think about getting Cunningham some | :52:12. | :52:17.
more action, his average coming in today just under seven yards per | :52:18. | :52:25.
carry. Good change-up. Sticking right now. Five in the secondary for | :52:26. | :52:42.
the Giants. Keenum, Austin sneaking inside. Sliding down to the 17-yard | :52:43. | :52:51.
line. Eli Apple active today. LA Rams 1st down. Austin have the 1st | :52:52. | :52:57.
down with the catch and the kind of gave it away but with his quickness | :52:58. | :53:01.
he usually got back up the field to pick up the 1st down. With the catch | :53:02. | :53:06.
he has got it, he gets inside the linebacker, Casillas. Still quick | :53:07. | :53:10.
enough to pick it up. Gurley, Cunningham. Taken down by | :53:11. | :53:23.
Vernon, who was tremendous last week in the first-half. A lot of players | :53:24. | :53:30.
slipping in the warm up and that is exactly what happens there to | :53:31. | :53:34.
Cunningham. This is a very unusual field, it looks like it is all grass | :53:35. | :53:38.
but there is an artificial surface woven into the grass. It is a big | :53:39. | :53:45.
adjustment for the NFL players. Wembley has a similar situation. | :53:46. | :53:56.
Keenum underneath. Gurley drilled on the play by Landon Collins. Played | :53:57. | :54:10.
Collins was involved on the chicken is on the last punt by the Giants, | :54:11. | :54:16.
when he drilled Chase Reynolds, the special teams running back. That is | :54:17. | :54:21.
what happened when we went to commercial. Colin is a big hitter at | :54:22. | :54:27.
six foot two, 225 lb, out of Alabama. | :54:28. | :54:33.
They came in just converting 33% on 3rd down. | :54:34. | :54:39.
Keenum. He is hit, knocked off balance, and finished off by Kerry | :54:40. | :54:53.
Wynn. Only the seventh sack all season for the Giants, the last in | :54:54. | :54:58.
that category in the NFL., Craig Keenan steps up into the pocket, his | :54:59. | :55:04.
offensive lineman that time, they expected him to stay deep, 30 he ran | :55:05. | :55:13.
into the sack by Kerry Wynn with help from JPP. Zuerlein 15 kickers | :55:14. | :55:24.
yet to miss in the league. 36 yard field goal try. -- one of five yet | :55:25. | :55:34.
to miss. That extends the lead. Some miscues by the Giants and the Rams | :55:35. | :55:40.
are cashing in in London. We talked about the Rams' defense not getting | :55:41. | :55:43.
to the quarterback enough, not converting that into a sack, Kerry | :55:44. | :55:48.
Wynn must have heard you. It was Jason Pierre-Paul, do not give him | :55:49. | :55:52.
the sack! Absolutely what happened as they slid the line, great | :55:53. | :55:58.
coverage by the secondary, he comes all the way back under. Great play | :55:59. | :56:06.
by Jason. You could almost say he felt the pressure too early. The | :56:07. | :56:12.
pressure coming from his right side. So under control. If he had taken | :56:13. | :56:16.
one small step forward. Lots of you getting in touch on social media, | :56:17. | :56:23.
lots of you talking about the Thursday night football, that you | :56:24. | :56:27.
might be seen on the screen, it is a curious quirk of the rights package, | :56:28. | :56:33.
this is an NFL network MMF or it is Thursday night football. You do not | :56:34. | :56:44.
have to adjust your clock. -- NFL network game, they're for. | :56:45. | :56:50.
Katie Phillips predicting a big win. Do you think the nature of | :56:51. | :56:56.
Twickenham as a rugby stadium will lead to a better atmosphere than | :56:57. | :56:59.
Wembley? I think Hemisphere has been really good. Hemisphere at Wembley | :57:00. | :57:03.
has been really good as well. It is a little bit more compact here, you | :57:04. | :57:07.
get the feeling that the sound resonates. We can hear it. It feels | :57:08. | :57:12.
noisier. It is the way the stadium was built, the sound amplifies it, | :57:13. | :57:19.
it seems so much louder. It is buzzing, one thing the commentators | :57:20. | :57:24.
have mentioned about the turf, players slipping in warm up. It | :57:25. | :57:30.
looks difficult to adjust. It is but that is what the warm up is for, go | :57:31. | :57:35.
out and test it out and see which cleats you want. That is on you as a | :57:36. | :57:39.
player. You have to be ready. Keep the questions coming in. | :57:40. | :57:49.
COMMENTATOR: I cut the crossed off, my boys like that. -- crust. Field | :57:50. | :58:00.
goal after the long pass completion, then a fumble as well which set up | :58:01. | :58:04.
the touchdown. They leave it in the end zone again. | :58:05. | :58:37.
Lovely resort at Penny Hill I am staying out. Beautiful. Eli Manning | :58:38. | :58:48.
over the top. Ogletree could not get in the first time. Coming through | :58:49. | :58:53.
with the hit in the secondary, TJ McDonald. Really good effort, | :58:54. | :59:01.
gaining nine yards on 1st down sets up a lot of options now for Manning. | :59:02. | :59:06.
It is about time he tries to get number 13 involved in this offense. | :59:07. | :59:12.
He missed a couple of days of practice. Lined up in the backfield | :59:13. | :59:19.
now. Still very painful apparently. Number 34. Beckham drilled. | :59:20. | :59:24.
Beautiful play coming in from the secondary, Hill taking the place of | :59:25. | :59:33.
the injured Trumaine Johnson. Really poor blocking on the perimeter by | :59:34. | :59:38.
the Giants wide receivers. You can see nobody blocks Hill, nobody gets | :59:39. | :59:42.
Lamarcus Joyner to the ground either. | :59:43. | :59:52.
They come with some theatrics after his capture is last week. -- | :59:53. | :00:03.
catches. Time for Manning and a knock-down by EJ Gaines, going for | :00:04. | :00:08.
Cruz. EJ Gaines has started the last couple of games and comes up with a | :00:09. | :00:13.
big play, the punt once again for the Giants. We were just talking | :00:14. | :00:17.
rather Giants coming over late, the Rams look a lot fresher at the start | :00:18. | :00:21.
of this game, the Giants seem to be sleepwalking through the first | :00:22. | :00:22.
quarter. Out of bounds. It was decent enough. | :00:23. | :00:41.
There was pretty good coverage down there and the Ram lazy take it for a | :00:42. | :00:46.
third time. They've had it twice. Scored both times they've had it. | :00:47. | :00:52.
Someone will be happy if there was a break at the moment. Alan Pardew. | :00:53. | :01:00.
Trying to get up close and personal I was close to the snap actually. A | :01:01. | :01:04.
fantastic experience being here today. You are looking at the | :01:05. | :01:11.
infamous net. How would you handle a player like Beckham? The maverick | :01:12. | :01:15.
players you need to handle carefully. There is a reason why | :01:16. | :01:20.
they are maverick. They have those tendencies. You have to be care of | :01:21. | :01:24.
the make sure they are motivated and happy, more importantly. I know you | :01:25. | :01:30.
study the game as well as a coach of, who have you learnt there having | :01:31. | :01:32.
that experience? Well, I mean a hero of mine. | :01:33. | :01:42.
American sport I have been a fan of. Today is a great experience for me. | :01:43. | :01:46.
This is an avenue, the Premier League to look at. Because the NFL, | :01:47. | :01:51.
it is all about packaging and marketing A fantastic job today and | :01:52. | :01:55.
the families and the people here all are having a fabulous time. They do | :01:56. | :02:00.
a really good job. What about the coaching perrer speckive - the way | :02:01. | :02:05.
it is broken down, would you like to see more of that? The game is so | :02:06. | :02:09.
segmented that it is difficult to get any flow to the game. I was | :02:10. | :02:14.
trying to watch on the sidelines there how you would interact with | :02:15. | :02:16.
that. It is so different. It is almost like a foreign sport. This | :02:17. | :02:20.
access as well is phenomenal. What will you look out for? Do you think | :02:21. | :02:25.
you will get a chance to talk to the coach at the end? Possibly not. | :02:26. | :02:30.
Trying to get on the pitch a minute ago I was thrown off. You go, | :02:31. | :02:36.
nothing to do with me! We will let Alan go off back on to the field. | :02:37. | :02:43.
THE COMMENTATOR: That is a long shot for a wildcard position. Neither of | :02:44. | :02:50.
these teams will catch the leaders in their respective divisions with | :02:51. | :02:54.
their loss today. 1st 10 for the las ang gles Rams. | :02:55. | :03:02.
-- Los Angeles Rams. False start. Offense. Number 73. | :03:03. | :03:12.
Five-yard penalty. 1st out. Robinson the tackle. He's facing a fresh | :03:13. | :03:19.
Jason Pierre-Paul on that side. Robinson has had his struggles this | :03:20. | :03:22.
season and last year. He's going up against a line that is | :03:23. | :03:26.
re-enforced with some new signings as we take a look at Jason | :03:27. | :03:29.
Pierre-Paul. It looked like he was hit on the by | :03:30. | :04:00.
Zak DeOssie. You cannot help by keep your eyes on | :04:01. | :04:07.
Odell Beckham jr, especially as you alluded to, he's not taken his seat, | :04:08. | :04:11.
guys. He's taken oxygen. I just watched him in the huddle with the | :04:12. | :04:16.
offensive linesmen, emmothering them. He's staying active. Only two | :04:17. | :04:23.
nights for his team. Days of practise on Wednesday and | :04:24. | :04:24.
Thursday. There was pressure on the play and | :04:25. | :04:41.
the tackle on the play outside is by Collins. | :04:42. | :04:48.
They take him out to the 27. And Higbee was after he caught the ball | :04:49. | :04:53.
tried to lower his shoulder on big 21 and he went backwards. Collins | :04:54. | :04:57.
with all the impetus to keep him to that short game. | :04:58. | :05:02.
2nd catch of his season, coming in as a back. It is 4 down 8. | :05:03. | :05:16.
And there was the flag. Caught up in the coverage of the | :05:17. | :05:25.
secondary for the New York Giants. Looked like Eli Apple was over there | :05:26. | :05:30.
in defense. Back after an injury. Number 24. Automatic 1st down. Part | :05:31. | :05:37.
of a foul. Here he is playing today. He's been dealing hamstring and | :05:38. | :05:42.
groin problems. You can see him just grab quick. That ball was well on | :05:43. | :05:51.
its way. And both Quick and Keenum celebrate. | :05:52. | :05:59.
A 1st 10 and another miscue for the Giants. | :06:00. | :06:06.
And that's a big catch with a lot of traffic. Kendricks out at mid-field, | :06:07. | :06:16.
close to the 1st, picks up 10. They will give him the 1st down. They | :06:17. | :06:22.
want him to throw off his back foot. He gets enough on it and Kendricks | :06:23. | :06:26.
makes a catch and absorbs the big hit from Collins. But another 1st | :06:27. | :06:30.
down for the Rams as they continue to move the ball against this | :06:31. | :06:34.
Giants' defense. 1st 10. A couple down to the | :06:35. | :06:52.
47-yard line so. Some miscues for the gianted. We've seen the fumble. | :06:53. | :06:58.
We have seen some pass, we saw a third down penalty. That That is the | :06:59. | :07:04.
key, that automatic 1st down. They keep the drive going. It was poor | :07:05. | :07:10.
technique there as he went for the inside, Quick. Broke to the outside. | :07:11. | :07:13.
Went to grab him. Goodbye Keenum. | :07:14. | :07:29.
Working on his pass. He's seen loaded up boxes a lot of the guys at | :07:30. | :07:35.
the line crowding. He picks up a yard at the 44. | :07:36. | :07:41.
Look at this stat about the sacks. Six are by their safety, Collins. So | :07:42. | :07:46.
the front four just not getting to the quarterback. Vemon with one set. | :07:47. | :07:58.
Jason Pierre-Paul with one sack and Hankins with one sack. | :07:59. | :08:04.
Marquez in motion. Giving up pressure. | :08:05. | :08:15.
They came on the side, that was Vemon who we talked to yesterday | :08:16. | :08:19.
pressuring the quarterback. He's only got one sack, but he's number | :08:20. | :08:23.
one in quarterback pressures. That is what this is here. Right side of | :08:24. | :08:31.
the screen, forcing that income pleegs. 10-0 lead to the Los Angeles | :08:32. | :08:38.
Rams. The end of a very messy quarter for | :08:39. | :08:42.
the New York Giants. It started with that turnover and the Rams | :08:43. | :08:50.
capitalised of course a 10-yarder. Seven place, 35-yard drive. They | :08:51. | :08:56.
could only settle for a field goal. That drove eight plays, 62 yards. It | :08:57. | :09:02.
means the Rams end the first quarter 10-0 up. So far, so good, Mike. What | :09:03. | :09:07.
you are seeing is classic Rams defense. Special Teams getting the | :09:08. | :09:12.
ball to Tavon Austin in position where he could do something with | :09:13. | :09:15.
getting the turnovers. That is what's killing the Giants. I think | :09:16. | :09:19.
the Giants right now, the play calling is very standard. It is all | :09:20. | :09:23.
short, running short stuff and that's not really what will get them | :09:24. | :09:27.
back into the game. They don't believe in the run game. Trying to | :09:28. | :09:30.
throw the ball short to simulate runs and you know, it seems like | :09:31. | :09:34.
they are sleepwalking. That I have no rhythm. That is why Ben got the | :09:35. | :09:43.
job. He failed to capture that this year. Heavy is the head that wears | :09:44. | :09:49.
the crown. When he was offensive co-ordinator they were good. Now | :09:50. | :09:52.
head coach things are not progressing the way they would have | :09:53. | :09:56.
wanted them to. They seem to be sleepwalking like Jason said. We | :09:57. | :10:00.
talked at the beginning about this change when the kick-off was at six | :10:01. | :10:04.
I liked the teams that came over on Friday morning because they would be | :10:05. | :10:08.
playing at a good time. It would be noon time for their bodies. Right | :10:09. | :10:11.
now for the Giants it is still early in the morning. They have not had | :10:12. | :10:17.
their coffee yet. Talk from a players's point of view when you are | :10:18. | :10:21.
kicking off an at irregular time? For me I like to get the game over | :10:22. | :10:26.
early. Coming out here, like he said, it is like 6am right now, or | :10:27. | :10:30.
maybe 8am in New York. They have not had their breakfast. They still have | :10:31. | :10:34.
not had time to adjust properly I think to the game. I think the as ga | :10:35. | :10:42.
game goes on you will see them get better and better. | :10:43. | :10:45.
THE COMMENTATOR: 4th down and about three. | :10:46. | :11:00.
Higbee in motion. Got them both sides here, Kevin. | :11:01. | :11:07.
You know, they have been going it for 4th down. They've had a couple | :11:08. | :11:11.
of situations which have backfired, but now they take the penalty. A | :11:12. | :11:16.
good discipline by the Giants. The last couple of weeks to get | :11:17. | :11:25.
against the Bills, that backfired. Then in week six, a goal from the | :11:26. | :11:29.
one foot line in the first play of the first half instead of going for | :11:30. | :11:34.
three and Jeff Fisher has been criticised for some those tactical | :11:35. | :11:38.
moves. And trying to draw offside does not work any more, does it. I | :11:39. | :11:42.
remember when I tried to do it, all I would come up with was a sore | :11:43. | :11:46.
throat. Hector is as good a punter as there | :11:47. | :11:53.
is in the NFL. 33 punts. Not a single downdown. That is outside the | :11:54. | :11:59.
numbers and out of bounds, inside the 20-yard line. Hekker, he's got | :12:00. | :12:04.
hang time, accuracy and he puts the Giants at their 17, who will have it | :12:05. | :12:09.
for the fourth time. Giants have fumbled. Four plays, punt and here | :12:10. | :12:15.
comes their fourth position with not a lot of time with possession in | :12:16. | :12:16.
this game. Jennings two carries for four yards. | :12:17. | :12:24.
Not much offense. Perkins in the backfield. | :12:25. | :12:40.
Running out of ULCA. We talked about Beckham and just all the the at | :12:41. | :12:53.
tricks, if distraction is the word you want to use, people look at it | :12:54. | :12:55.
from different standpoints, struggling to control his emotions, | :12:56. | :12:58.
that is one thing the coaching staff has talked to him about. It will | :12:59. | :13:00.
take some time, but they have certain techniques. They are working | :13:01. | :13:02.
with him on. That would have been a disaster. | :13:03. | :13:07.
Taking his helmet off after that long touchdown. | :13:08. | :13:17.
Perkins on the backfield. And he is stuck in the sideline about the | :13:18. | :13:21.
21-yard line. It is a game of five on the play. Out to the 21. Here | :13:22. | :13:27.
comes Beckham. Team speed of the Rams right now is | :13:28. | :13:35.
dominating this game. That time it was Barron on the play as well as | :13:36. | :13:39.
Westbrooks getting out from his defensive spot. | :13:40. | :13:50.
I think they got Donald with the hard count. He was the top-rated | :13:51. | :14:01.
footballer a season ago. He's got pressures in the NFL coming off the | :14:02. | :14:07.
defensive line: defense, five-yard penalty. | :14:08. | :14:11.
Penalty was on 99 of the defense. 99. Still 3rd down. Donald will pick | :14:12. | :14:17.
that up. A little jump right there. It is not | :14:18. | :14:24.
easy from the shotgun position for a quarterback to use the hard count to | :14:25. | :14:30.
draw somebody offside. Good job that time by Eli Manning. | :14:31. | :14:38.
Perkins stays in the game. 67-yard penalty. | :14:39. | :14:44.
See Beckham down there at the bottom of your screen. | :14:45. | :14:52.
Beyond the line of scrimmage, gets out to the 27-yard line. | :14:53. | :15:00.
Ogletree was there with a gain of a yard. So that first mistake by the | :15:01. | :15:06.
Rams today will cost them, as the Giants get a cheer here in England, | :15:07. | :15:09.
picking up that 1st down. They get a Bronx cheer. Perkins. | :15:10. | :15:33.
Nice block, into the secondary. Hill also in the secondary. Marshall | :15:34. | :15:39.
Newhouse had his spot taken by Bobby hard. You can see just in view and | :15:40. | :15:50.
the best rushing play for the Giants. -- Bobby Hart. Bobby Rainey, | :15:51. | :15:59.
down the seam, Beckham, on the slander, hit by Hill. Into midfield | :16:00. | :16:07.
for the Giants. Couple of real positive plays in a row. | :16:08. | :16:29.
Bobby Rainey. Out of the backfield with some receptions, and | :16:30. | :16:47.
39-year-old head coach Ben McAdoo. Eli Manning, outside, the receiver, | :16:48. | :17:08.
Cruz, drilled by McDonald on the play. He makes the tough catch, | :17:09. | :17:19.
having dropped on when he was wide open. TJ McDonald was laying it to | :17:20. | :17:24.
him pretty good. We know the running game continues to be a struggle for | :17:25. | :17:29.
the Giants. The quarterback's best friend is the running game. | :17:30. | :17:44.
Into the nickelback, caught by Rainey, scooped up by Cruise. EJ | :17:45. | :18:02.
Gaines making the stuff. Just enough time and just enough for the 1st | :18:03. | :18:06.
down as Cruz makes the catch just over the gain line. Coverage on the | :18:07. | :18:18.
play by EJ Gaines. That was a tight window, he had the outside coverage | :18:19. | :18:30.
on Demel. Eli Manning apparently does not like much in his helmet | :18:31. | :18:38.
radio. Here is like having a coach on the field anyway. He has seen it | :18:39. | :18:48.
all. Cruz breaks the tackle. Knocked out of bounds by McDonald. Beautiful | :18:49. | :18:56.
catch and run, Victor Cruz. His third catch on the drive, great move | :18:57. | :19:03.
away from games. Touchdown saving tackle by McDonald. Eli is hot. | :19:04. | :19:20.
Perkins remains. And here comes Perkins, into the fray. Not a whole | :19:21. | :19:31.
lot. McAdoo calls the phrase for this team -- calls the place for | :19:32. | :19:35.
this team but a lot of input from Eli and Mike Sullivan. The line now | :19:36. | :19:48.
74 yards. In the red zone. -- Eli. Three touchdown passes last week. | :19:49. | :19:57.
2nd 10, Manning, Beckham. About the 12-yard line, working his way | :19:58. | :20:12.
into Troy Hill. Four quick out by Beckham, good timing with Eli, | :20:13. | :20:21.
Stefan Arman Hill, protecting the ball with his outside arm. -- stiff | :20:22. | :20:25.
arm on Phil. Manning going for the rookie, | :20:26. | :20:45.
Sterling Shepard. Coverage in the secondary from Lamarcus Joyner. | :20:46. | :20:52.
Kevin, a lot of people think this is face guarding but it is not, he does | :20:53. | :20:55.
not make contact with the receiver. The Canon perfectly timed this as | :20:56. | :21:01.
the ball gets there, so does Joyner, tremendous play by Lamarcus Joyner. | :21:02. | :21:07.
The defense holds them out, this brings in Robbie Gold. His entire 11 | :21:08. | :21:14.
year career with the Chicago Bears. Let go after a lacklustre preseason. | :21:15. | :21:20.
Field goal try of 29 yards to put the Giants on the board. He arrived | :21:21. | :21:27.
in the last couple of days and he comes in and puts three on the board | :21:28. | :21:34.
for the Giants. STUDIO: The Giants gets on the board with their kicker, | :21:35. | :21:38.
only the very best players in the NFL make it into the Hall of Fame | :21:39. | :21:41.
and I'm delighted to say we're joined by an absolute legend, Super | :21:42. | :21:46.
Bowl winner as well, absolutely deserves that brand of those, | :21:47. | :21:52.
Orlando, great to have you here. You place the majority of your career | :21:53. | :21:59.
with the Rams. My first time in London, great expense, just seeing | :22:00. | :22:05.
the sights. Doing something so to enhance the game. Great turnout. You | :22:06. | :22:10.
have got some history, you played against each other, what was that | :22:11. | :22:16.
like? Two crazy, the only guy who completely shut me up, with Walter | :22:17. | :22:23.
Jones, so big and physical and agile, they were able to get back | :22:24. | :22:30.
and float. , you were saying you could jump the count against the | :22:31. | :22:36.
Rams. I knew the snap cap that he was still back there. Talk through | :22:37. | :22:41.
what it felt like that you are being inducted into the Hall of Fame. | :22:42. | :22:46.
Obviously to play in this game, the NFL, to have the opportunity to be | :22:47. | :22:49.
the Hall of Famer, so many guys who have played the game. 303 guys who | :22:50. | :22:57.
have a jacket and a ring and a bronze bust, to be one of those, it | :22:58. | :23:03.
is the elite. If you are one of those guys, being in a room with | :23:04. | :23:08.
those guys, it is like icing on the top of the kick. When did it sink | :23:09. | :23:14.
in? I am still flying pretty high, just a few months ago for the | :23:15. | :23:20.
induction, I am writing this roller-coaster and hopefully I never | :23:21. | :23:25.
come down. Good stuff. Orlando will be sticking with us a little bit | :23:26. | :23:29.
longer. He did get his thoughts on the Rams later. COMMENTATOR: It | :23:30. | :23:40.
looks like the Rams and maybe two steps Wicca at this point in the | :23:41. | :23:46.
game than the Giants. The kick-off by Robbie Gold. Into the end zone | :23:47. | :23:56.
with Cunningham. Case Keenum, and drafted quarterback. STUDIO: Quicker | :23:57. | :24:04.
than we thought. Orlando, changing times for the Rams, moving to Los | :24:05. | :24:09.
Angeles, back to Los Angeles, but how does that feel as the former | :24:10. | :24:15.
Sului player, how do the fans feel? The St Louis Rams have afraid every | :24:16. | :24:22.
time the Rams lose. There are some die-hard fans there that still | :24:23. | :24:29.
support the team, and the move to the LA area was great for the | :24:30. | :24:32.
organisation and I'm sure those fans are excited to be back, for the most | :24:33. | :24:38.
part. I know the league as excited as well. Hopefully we can come out | :24:39. | :24:46.
with the victory today in London. We mentioned Walter Jones, Jonathan | :24:47. | :24:49.
Ogden as well in that group with you guys. Did you feel internal | :24:50. | :24:55.
competition between you three because you are such great tacklers? | :24:56. | :25:00.
I think when you play naturally you look at the guys who are considered | :25:01. | :25:03.
the best and Walter and Jonathan Ogden and those guys, we kind of | :25:04. | :25:09.
came along at a special time in the NFL where we have those quick guys, | :25:10. | :25:14.
the importance of the left tackle, you have to get athletic guys who | :25:15. | :25:17.
can move their feet so we could keep up. But where do they go which Mark | :25:18. | :25:26.
what happened? You never know, the game changes so much. The college | :25:27. | :25:32.
game is not developing as well, the spread offense makes it difficult to | :25:33. | :25:38.
find the athletic offensive tackles. He might have to remove some tight | :25:39. | :25:44.
ends down. Quick line before you go, I know you have a lot of media | :25:45. | :25:50.
today, these LA Rams have surprised a lot of people. How far can they | :25:51. | :25:57.
go? They have a great defense, they have two of the best defensive | :25:58. | :26:02.
lineman in the league, Aaron Donald and Robert Quinn. We appreciate your | :26:03. | :26:07.
time. COMMENTATOR: Adams along with running down | :26:08. | :26:20.
Gurley. -- Casillas. We haven't talked much about Case Keenum, he | :26:21. | :26:25.
was not drafted, coming out in the same draft as Ryan like, Tannehill, | :26:26. | :26:34.
Osweiler, Wilson, RG3. So many vets at the University of Houston but he | :26:35. | :26:38.
knows Jarrod Goff is waiting to be the guy who says I am the guy now, I | :26:39. | :26:41.
am the starter. This is the best situation of his career he says. -- | :26:42. | :26:49.
same draft as Andrew Luck and Ryan Tannehill. To the end Boston, | :26:50. | :27:01.
Collins takes him off. His first of the year, breaking tackle after | :27:02. | :27:08.
tackle. Some bloggers ahead, like Jenkins and Casillas, inside the | :27:09. | :27:11.
5-yard line and into the end zone. Touchdown! CHEERING | :27:12. | :27:28.
Four huge mistake by Tavon Austin. This ball well thrown by Case | :27:29. | :27:33.
Keenum. Collins playing center field, he gets the rebound. Kevin, | :27:34. | :27:39.
this is a return for the ages. Right through his hands. Collins breaks on | :27:40. | :27:48.
tackle. Three more guys flying by. Reversing his field. Make someone | :27:49. | :27:54.
else miss and then it really gets fun. Inside the 10-yard line, convoy | :27:55. | :27:59.
of blockers, he refuses to go down, he gets some help to get into the | :28:00. | :28:05.
end zone from Janoris Jenkins, wow, huge play by Landon Collins. He has | :28:06. | :28:11.
only missed five plays on defense, Collins, this season. Second leading | :28:12. | :28:19.
tackler, second-year player out of Alabama. The second round pick, | :28:20. | :28:22.
comes up with a huge play for the Steve Spagnuolo defense. There was a | :28:23. | :28:31.
penalty on the rounds on the return with the extra point by Robbie Gold, | :28:32. | :28:34.
we are tied with the defensive return, 45 yards on the pick, the | :28:35. | :28:41.
ricochet, Collins Paulinho in and leaving the other way. One broken | :28:42. | :28:48.
Zach Bell after another. The second quarter from London. STUDIO: That | :28:49. | :28:54.
has got Twickenham jumping. One of the plays of the season. That one we | :28:55. | :29:01.
just saw? It was amazing. If this is not on clean, first off, he's | :29:02. | :29:04.
throwing to the deeper receiver and Austin deflected. With those tackles | :29:05. | :29:14.
missed, picks up a blocker, four missed tackles, another block from | :29:15. | :29:19.
behind, he runs past six, seven, eight, nine. And he won't go down. | :29:20. | :29:28.
It shows how important blocking is. That is what they teach you on | :29:29. | :29:34.
defense, turn and block, you can get the guys, those are the slow guys, | :29:35. | :29:39.
the five lineman, take advantage. No way this guy has been a safety his | :29:40. | :29:44.
whole life, my safety Jason Bohn never made a play like that. He has | :29:45. | :29:49.
only just come back. Incredible play by Landon Collins. Welcome back to | :29:50. | :29:57.
the studio! The Giants needed the defense to step up. Lowe absolutely, | :29:58. | :30:02.
they had to have the turnover. Landon Collins has been playing well | :30:03. | :30:07.
this entire season. One of the State statistics on screen earlier, team | :30:08. | :30:16.
that has the 3-4 record only has 19% chance of making the playoffs. It is | :30:17. | :30:21.
almost must win., both these teams in competitive divisions where it is | :30:22. | :30:25.
going down to the wire. The Rams have the ability to win games in the | :30:26. | :30:28.
division even when they are not very good but for both teams right now | :30:29. | :30:30.
loss is going to be a problem. The official called the penalty | :30:31. | :30:48.
initially against the Rams. He meant to say the Giants. | :30:49. | :30:53.
Bobby Hart, alignment, ran out on to the field. Kick off by gold gold and | :30:54. | :30:57.
coming in And the important thing to remember | :30:58. | :31:09.
about an unsportsman-like penalty is if you get two, you are | :31:10. | :31:18.
automatically objected. He came off the bench, and that is an automatic | :31:19. | :31:26.
unsportsman-like penalty. The coach is an offensive | :31:27. | :31:35.
co-ordinator. He was in green bank. Giants are 3 | :31:36. | :31:49.
Get it back to Keenum and downfield, a flight ball and dropped. Going | :31:50. | :32:03.
down field for quick, incomplete. Quinn did a good job of playing | :32:04. | :32:08.
defensive back there and knocking it away, and preventing the | :32:09. | :32:11.
interception. Watch the left-hand there. It is enough to stop that | :32:12. | :32:21.
ball being picked off by Rodgers-Cromartie. | :32:22. | :32:33.
Brought down by Collins after he captures and runs it to the 47. Ten | :32:34. | :32:44.
by Collins and Hall. Two defenders are keeping, trying to keep him from | :32:45. | :32:50.
get 1st down. Kendricks powered through. Both Giants tackles picked | :32:51. | :32:56.
up these. I think Collins is still... Might | :32:57. | :33:05.
be... That 45-yard return took about 90 0 yards, didn't it? | :33:06. | :33:11.
We are looking for quick and coverage by the linebacker Robinson. | :33:12. | :33:47.
Tackle made by Kennard. A gain of two to the 50-yard line. | :33:48. | :33:56.
Defense of the Giants comes in number 19 in the league. Better | :33:57. | :34:00.
against the run than against the pass. And the big problem for Gurley | :34:01. | :34:06.
this year is yardage after contact. Averaging just about 2.3 yards per | :34:07. | :34:12.
carry after contact. That was big contact that time by | :34:13. | :34:16.
Kennard. He's down. 45-yard line. Pick up of | :34:17. | :34:34.
five. Robinson there to make the stop for the Giants. It is 4th down | :34:35. | :34:41.
and Fisher said he would go for 1st down tries on 4th downs inside the | :34:42. | :34:47.
opponent's 50. . Sure enough the punting unit is there. | :34:48. | :34:53.
Last time they tried to draw the Giants with a hard count, that | :34:54. | :34:59.
didn't wofrget | :35:00. | :35:02.
Hekker can throw a little bit. Back to his normal position. | :35:03. | :35:15.
Inside the ten. And put down there by the special | :35:16. | :35:27.
team, the rookie free agent. Nice job by Hekker. A hit there by the | :35:28. | :35:39.
Giants Harris. I shouldn't be surprised to find two | :35:40. | :35:45.
rugby players here. You experienced it, it was special. It was spernl. I | :35:46. | :35:55.
have not been allowed in the Royal Box. To watch was incredible. It is | :35:56. | :36:08.
amazing to see how it is. Itried to get in during the World Cup. Today | :36:09. | :36:12.
they let me in with open arms. Did you know there is a player in the | :36:13. | :36:19.
NFL called Jonathan Joseph? People might tweet me thinking I am him. | :36:20. | :36:26.
Any chance of that in the future? I think Anthony fancies it. Whether he | :36:27. | :36:30.
will try it or not, we will see. For me, maybe not. You though, James, I | :36:31. | :36:36.
have seen you Touted before in the NFL because of your size, that you | :36:37. | :36:43.
can do it. I don't think I have got the capability to do that. I would | :36:44. | :36:48.
have loved the spectacle, the occasion. And also college football, | :36:49. | :36:53.
60,000 people to 100,000 people to watch, who doesn't want to get | :36:54. | :36:57.
involved in that? It is incredible the way they market it and spin it | :36:58. | :37:01.
around. Can we see rugby growing to that? I hope so. What I like about | :37:02. | :37:05.
the NFL is the sport science that goes behind it. How everything is | :37:06. | :37:09.
the most advanced. They have four bus loads of people. They have water | :37:10. | :37:13.
guys for the water guys and everything is taken care of. If | :37:14. | :37:17.
rugby keeps being commercial, it will end up like that. Jo r go and | :37:18. | :37:23.
enjoy it. -- go and enjoy it. | :37:24. | :37:31.
The kids the American football took place. Surrey park is part of play | :37:32. | :37:37.
60. And everyone had a terrific time. The punt by Hekker puts the | :37:38. | :37:45.
Giants at their six. With ast 10. -- with a 1st | :37:46. | :37:49.
106789 Jennings on the backfield. Rashad Jennings, had some time with | :37:50. | :38:13.
an injury. It has been an unbalanced, less running for the | :38:14. | :38:17.
Giants. It has been their story the whole season. The rushing attack, | :38:18. | :38:24.
averages 76 yards a game. One of the worst in the NFL, obviously. | :38:25. | :38:40.
Oh, here they come with. That he turns it off, and Jennings has it. | :38:41. | :38:49.
And room to roam. A miss-tackle by Gaines. He's brought down and picks | :38:50. | :38:55.
up 25 on a catch and run with a 1st down for the Giants. Well Donald | :38:56. | :39:00.
will get in on the quarterback right here as he gets by Pugh. Tremendous | :39:01. | :39:05.
job by Manning to let the play develop. Let it off before he is | :39:06. | :39:07.
smashed by Donald. 1st 10. Up to about the 33 game, | :39:08. | :39:19.
one by Longacre and Donald in the defensive line. We are hearing all | :39:20. | :39:25.
these calls by Manning, talk us through what signals he's giving the | :39:26. | :39:29.
rest of his offense? If I knew that I would still be playing. Give me an | :39:30. | :39:36.
idea. It is all protection. He's at the point now where he feels the | :39:37. | :39:40.
most dangerous defense is. He wants the line to know that. | :39:41. | :39:45.
Adams, a rookie out of California, third catch this season. Up to the | :39:46. | :39:50.
37. Picks up three on the play and he is brought down by Barron on the | :39:51. | :39:54.
far side. Some of the calls that Manning makes, he doesn't give that | :39:55. | :39:59.
open ma what call that his brother made so they mouse. I have heard a | :40:00. | :40:08.
Trump call at times, I wonder if he has to Hilary as much time! | :40:09. | :40:20.
They go onside and Gaines has got in the way of Beckham and there is no | :40:21. | :40:25.
flag. That is two times in a row now the Rams have got to Manning. The | :40:26. | :40:30.
first time off to Rashad Jennings, but that time he had no chance. | :40:31. | :40:34.
Lucky just to get the ball out to avoid the sack. | :40:35. | :40:38.
The Giants are struggling on 3rd down. | :40:39. | :40:44.
Manning has been sacked two times this season. This drive, good job by | :40:45. | :40:47.
the Rams to force this punt. An English day, inside Twickenham. | :40:48. | :40:58.
Austin on the bounce. All is lose. And Austin looks like | :40:59. | :41:07.
he's in. You can see 17 there looking to get his mitts on him. | :41:08. | :41:13.
Spinning around, but never really down, I don't think, before the | :41:14. | :41:18.
ball. He was laying on top of a Giant defender. | :41:19. | :41:22.
It is where it gets really fub. This is where you lose finger nails. | :41:23. | :41:30.
Trying to separate them. Looks like Austin has the angle on | :41:31. | :41:36.
this ball. Looks like he does. Although Rainey is down there. 43 | :41:37. | :41:40.
for the Giants. He's got one hand on it at least and maybe also with the | :41:41. | :41:57.
hand on it is her... When Lewis got down there, covered it well. | :41:58. | :42:09.
You can see Austin rolls over. Roger Lewis there heads up. He knew | :42:10. | :42:17.
the ball was lose. He knew his knee had not hit the ground. | :42:18. | :42:37.
And on the move and he goes downfield. Caught by Britt, who | :42:38. | :42:45.
breaks one tackle on the play of Jenkins and then up to the 37, | :42:46. | :42:48.
landing Collins finally catches up with him. Offense. Number 79. | :42:49. | :42:53.
. Going up against Jason Pierre-Paul | :42:54. | :43:03.
today. That is a load. Two-minute warning at 1. 56. | :43:04. | :43:10.
When the ball is fumbled, what do you do next? It is wild underneath | :43:11. | :43:16.
there. You try and get the ball, especially in a pile like that | :43:17. | :43:19.
anything goes. You try and get out. You are punching, you are kicking. | :43:20. | :43:23.
Nobody can see. You can see that as well, two Rams together. That is | :43:24. | :43:29.
like the worst place on earth. Right right there. Everything goes on down | :43:30. | :43:34.
there, punching kicking. Pulling the hairs on your leg. Trying to break | :43:35. | :43:40.
fingers. Looks messy. We have not seen it yet, but when you draw, if | :43:41. | :43:45.
you are defensive and if you draw that holding penalty, especially in | :43:46. | :43:48.
a situation like that, especially for the defense, it is as good as a | :43:49. | :43:51.
sack. No question about that. You are looking at the Giants a and they | :43:52. | :43:54.
are getting pressure on the quarterback. | :43:55. | :43:58.
Got the hold and all you have to do is affect the quarterback in a | :43:59. | :44:01.
fashion and they have been able to do that. There is an interesting | :44:02. | :44:09.
case, fraction of seconds is what it is 0.5 of a second, more time he has | :44:10. | :44:14.
to throw... Most quarterbacks will be like that. They will dissect you. | :44:15. | :44:19.
You get pressure, not so much. And keep keep makes a great play. Gets | :44:20. | :44:24.
the receiver down. It is all negated by the hold. Has he impressed you so | :44:25. | :44:30.
far this afternoon? You saw his weakness when he tried with that | :44:31. | :44:35.
pass over. Boy, did it float. And that is what the weakness is. You | :44:36. | :44:39.
want to keep him on the short stuff. He doesn't mind if he's throwing on | :44:40. | :44:43.
the run. That is not a bad thing. You can move the pocket with him as | :44:44. | :44:49.
well. I imagine Goff at the top of the show, the player they drafted... | :44:50. | :44:53.
Come and start, it is just a matter of time. The funny thing is that | :44:54. | :44:58.
Goff played in the same kind of system in college as keep keep did. | :44:59. | :45:02.
He comes out with the -- Keenum did. He comes out with the same. And Jeff | :45:03. | :45:06.
Fisher does not like to throw quarterbacks in cold. The last thing | :45:07. | :45:10.
he wants is turnovers. He would rather have control than big plays. | :45:11. | :45:17.
Sounds like Tom Coughlin, hates turnovers. That was his philosophy. | :45:18. | :45:26.
COMMENTATOR: Actually a penalty, the Rams in a big hole. | :45:27. | :45:36.
Another flag. Kenny Britt that time. False start, number 89. Still 1st | :45:37. | :45:55.
down. There is a team right now has been analysed as any team in | :45:56. | :46:00.
football. Six so far here in the first half. The last two, the Rams | :46:01. | :46:08.
going backwards, big-time. Just one so far on the Giants. Austin sealed | :46:09. | :46:25.
off by Collins. Ben McAdoo quickly calls time-out. He loves this field | :46:26. | :46:31.
position and the fact that was a short game. 1:46 left. STUDIO: Don't | :46:32. | :46:43.
forget coverage of the Redskins- Bengals from Wembley next Sunday, | :46:44. | :46:48.
1:30pm. And remember the clocks change, don't miss the start of | :46:49. | :46:53.
that. Good to hear from you on social media. Which of these teams | :46:54. | :46:58.
have the best chance of making the playoffs? I know what you will say, | :46:59. | :47:08.
so we will ask Jason first. This is tough but I will go with the Giants. | :47:09. | :47:13.
I think they have a chance in their division. When you start to play | :47:14. | :47:17.
your division rivals you can come back and play those games. | :47:18. | :47:23.
Interesting division, Cowboys without Tony Romo but they will | :47:24. | :47:27.
stick with Dak Prescott? You have to assume that it may not happen, we | :47:28. | :47:31.
have to assume Dallas will win the division. Seattle could win the West | :47:32. | :47:38.
so you are talking wild card for both teams and I think the Rams are | :47:39. | :47:42.
better positioned. The Division 1 think in the east is more balanced. | :47:43. | :47:46.
There are four teams that could content. Unless Philadelphia falls | :47:47. | :47:53.
will stop we will see that this week when they play Minnesota. Any of | :47:54. | :47:58.
those games they play is 50 slash 50. What do you think the Cowboys | :47:59. | :48:05.
until -- 50-50. Tony Romo one of the great quarterbacks of the modern | :48:06. | :48:11.
era, die-hard Cowboy, got injured and Dak Prescott has played lights | :48:12. | :48:14.
out. He has played exceptional football but in my opinion Tony Romo | :48:15. | :48:18.
is the better play, they will go back to him when his healthy. Who's | :48:19. | :48:22.
to say they would not be in the same position with him. I would. I played | :48:23. | :48:28.
against him before and I know that other player he is, he is a top five | :48:29. | :48:32.
quarterback, when he is healthy. I would be tempted not to break the | :48:33. | :48:37.
continuity when Dak Prescott has a bad game, then put Tony Romo in. | :48:38. | :48:43.
COMMENTATOR: Keenum, swing pass, Gurley. Picks are four on the play. | :48:44. | :48:56.
It was a stop on the play by Robinson. Time-out. STUDIO: Question | :48:57. | :49:05.
from Sam for you, Osi, but other than Von Miller who are some of the | :49:06. | :49:10.
best pass rushes. Two of them here, Robert Quinn, and he goes for the | :49:11. | :49:18.
ball, much like I used to do. And Aaron Donald on the interior, | :49:19. | :49:22.
absolute machine. JJ Watt even injured, best defensive player we | :49:23. | :49:26.
have had in the late for a long time. Fair to say a Golden era for | :49:27. | :49:37.
pass rushing? No question, Beasley last week, tremendous football | :49:38. | :49:43.

not falls at all by the out route. In the four positions is the | :50:09. | :50:17.
turnover, pick sacks thrown by Keenum. And they stopped the clock | :50:18. | :50:28.
as well. Hekker. We talked to the Rams on Friday and Hemingway made | :50:29. | :50:36.
the stop there, 59 yard punt. Now we will see if they can get Odell | :50:37. | :50:40.
Beckham fired up for the Giants. Three catches in the first half so | :50:41. | :50:47.
far for just nine yards. Their number one said, it is very obvious, | :50:48. | :50:50.
what he can do with the ball after the catch. As you mentioned earlier | :50:51. | :50:56.
he leads the NFL in yards after. Last week remember he had most of | :50:57. | :51:02.
his yards in the second half. Against Baltimore. 75 yarder and 66 | :51:03. | :51:12.

this ball out of his hands with a shunt right to his back. Legal hit | :51:58. | :52:01.
by TJ McDonald. Eli Manning underneath, Will Tye, | :52:02. | :52:23.
stopped well shy of the first. Great field position, they basically throw | :52:24. | :52:28.
the lateral how-to Rainey that get stuff in the backfield. The Rams | :52:29. | :52:34.
will have a shot with all three of their time-outs. And they just used | :52:35. | :52:35.
one. STUDIO: London's JJ has been playing | :52:36. | :52:45.

Room I'm sure the fans are hoping for that reprieve you are talking | :57:28. | :57:30.
about but right now both teams kind of floundering here at the end of | :57:31. | :57:38.
the first half. Hekker keeps it outside the numbers. Got a couple | :57:39. | :57:46.

We hope that this type of shot just knocked the wind out of them but | :58:34. | :58:42.
serious contact. By Chase Reynolds to the back. Harris. | :58:43. | :58:51.
Just like in the states, you've got all the medical personnel in the | :58:52. | :59:01.

at Twickenham. I don't know if they are trying to undo his straps around | :59:18. | :59:20.
his shoulder pads. They continue to work on the return | :59:21. | :59:38.
man for the New York Giants, Dwayne Harris. Sort: last week -- he had a | :59:39. | :59:49.
sore toe. As you see the retrieval of the punt from Hekker and the | :59:50. | :59:56.
covering up, minimal return. We take a time-out with one second to play | :59:57. | :00:02.
in the first-half ear from London. Terrible to see that at any time. | :00:03. | :00:06.
STUDIO: We will keep you posted, he is sitting up, that is positive. | :00:07. | :00:11.
What is it like when one of your team-mates go down like that? | :00:12. | :00:20.
After a minute or two we are on to the next play. It seems really | :00:21. | :00:26.
brutal, but that is the way we are raised. I was standing in the huddle | :00:27. | :00:31.
next to our quarterback when they put his shoulder back in after it | :00:32. | :00:35.
was dislocated on the sack. When I heard that, I was like... I needed a | :00:36. | :00:38.
week off! THE COMMENTATOR: As he catches his | :00:39. | :00:48.
breath and is being attended to by the medical trainers and medical | :00:49. | :00:52.
staff for the New York Giants, who brought in the full compliment to | :00:53. | :00:54.
London. Harris played with Dallas, of course | :00:55. | :01:17.
for four years. It is good seeing him getting up on to his feet. He | :01:18. | :01:21.
was signed as a free agent back in March, 2015, by the Giants. | :01:22. | :01:27.
Originally a sixth round pick by the Cowboys. Was weighed and back on the | :01:28. | :01:32.
practise squad then back to ros ter and signed to a division. Here comes | :01:33. | :01:40.
the golf cart out from stone mountain Georgia, Dwain Harris. | :01:41. | :01:49.
He's always the first guy Down Under kicks and then, as return, a very | :01:50. | :01:53.
dangerous tough guy. Good size and it is a good sign that you can see | :01:54. | :01:57.
him walking to the cart. And they will check him out in the | :01:58. | :02:03.
locker room. He has seven receiving touchdowns, all coming early on with | :02:04. | :02:08.
Dallas and then he had four for the Giants last season, four touchdown | :02:09. | :02:13.
receptions for the Giants. Three putt touchdowns. One kick off return | :02:14. | :02:20.
touchdown. He is a multi-facetted player and obviously the concern is | :02:21. | :02:23.
with him. They are looking at his lower back. We saw the hit by Chase | :02:24. | :02:37.
Reynolds. How ironic with one second to go. He lets go it's into the end | :02:38. | :02:45.
zone at half time. We will try and give you an updates we come out of | :02:46. | :02:49.
half time with just a second to play here in the first half. | :02:50. | :03:03.
So, they will get into a formation where Eli Manning... We've had a six | :03:04. | :03:13.
by Collins of the New York Giants to... | :03:14. | :03:21.
??FORCEWHITE STUDIO: So the first quarter was the | :03:22. | :03:26.
LA Rams, the second to the New York Giants, getting on the board there. | :03:27. | :03:31.
A kick of 29 yards and Collins making one of the plays of the | :03:32. | :03:38.
season. A 46-yard return. As one of our viewers Martin X pointed out on | :03:39. | :03:44.
social media, Collins with the most rugby-looking touchdown ever. | :03:45. | :03:48.
Beautiful stuff. Ten-appease at the half. | :03:49. | :03:53.
And it has been an interesting half. Neither offense has managed to get | :03:54. | :03:58.
anything going at all. That is what we suspected might happen going into | :03:59. | :04:00.
it. 107 passing yards for. Ten a piece at half time. Is that a | :04:01. | :04:17.
fair score? I think so. Both these teams would look at those, | :04:18. | :04:21.
especially those rushing yards. Only 19 for the Giants. 41 for the Rams. | :04:22. | :04:25.
They would think, we should do better than that. It is crucial to | :04:26. | :04:30.
the Rams. The Giants, 19, it's nothing. You cannot really win. We | :04:31. | :04:34.
have talked about how good this Rams defense is. Is the Giants' playing | :04:35. | :04:40.
badly? The Rams is playing extremely well. I am inpressed. The DBs are | :04:41. | :04:46.
looking down the receivers. They are generating some pressure on Eli | :04:47. | :04:49.
Manning. They have been able to throw the offense out of sorts. They | :04:50. | :04:53.
are playing well. How do the Giants change this in the second half? They | :04:54. | :04:58.
have got to get the ball to OBJ and try something. They are not having | :04:59. | :05:04.
success playing the ball. We talked about Beckham's injury. He's | :05:05. | :05:08.
obviously done little in the first half, how does he look to you? You | :05:09. | :05:12.
cannot tell. He's not opened it up. Maybe that is the reason. Maybe he's | :05:13. | :05:17.
nursing something. We were talking before about the way they are | :05:18. | :05:23.
running. It has all been traps and draws and designed to take advantage | :05:24. | :05:27.
of St Louis's movement up front. And at some point they need to play | :05:28. | :05:32.
straight ahead and see what they do and try and get them on the back | :05:33. | :05:35.
foot and slow them down a little bit. Beckham is one of the players | :05:36. | :05:41.
we keyed in on at the start of the show and so was Tavon Austin. He was | :05:42. | :05:45.
instrumental in the Rams first score of the day. Take us through this | :05:46. | :05:49.
one. What you will see is him coming | :05:50. | :05:56.
through the middle and the guy underneath pulls it open. If you | :05:57. | :06:00.
compare his slant to Beckham's, it is not as finely run. You see there, | :06:01. | :06:04.
the linebacker coming forward, but it doesn't have to be, because that | :06:05. | :06:07.
safety is waiting to see what happens before he comes off. And | :06:08. | :06:11.
then Austin makes the catch in the end zone. When we were talking about | :06:12. | :06:16.
that, the comparison between Beckham and Austin, you make the point that | :06:17. | :06:20.
Austin is an out and out receiver. You said he's versatile and can play | :06:21. | :06:25.
in a lot of positions. He is because of his size, you put him on the | :06:26. | :06:29.
outside. He's not a tight route runner. You want to put him anywhere | :06:30. | :06:36.
and get him in space. Wide receivers, it is the kind of players | :06:37. | :06:40.
they would run for Tavon Austin. And the Giants don't have a Tavon Austin | :06:41. | :06:45.
really. You are right. They don't. So it is the defense that came to | :06:46. | :06:50.
the party and got them on the board. I am sure this put a big smile on | :06:51. | :06:55.
your face. This is incredible. The ball will bounce up for Austin. He | :06:56. | :07:00.
will catch it. Look at the runs this guy is making! Going from one side | :07:01. | :07:04.
of the field to another. Looking like a running back. Doing something | :07:05. | :07:08.
that my good friend Jason Bell is able to do. I have got to give it to | :07:09. | :07:17.
Jason... Tips and overthrows. That is how you get interceptions. That | :07:18. | :07:20.
is what happened. And the agility when you look at a defensive player, | :07:21. | :07:25.
he's like a running man. We don't get the ball in our hands too much, | :07:26. | :07:29.
so when we do, we have to show our skills. This is what he's doing. I | :07:30. | :07:35.
take back what I said, I think Austin should have caught it. It is | :07:36. | :07:37.
on him. Have you noticed the amount of | :07:38. | :07:41.
pressure the Giants are bringing, whether it is bringing a safety, | :07:42. | :07:46.
whether it is them, they are playing very well. They are really | :07:47. | :07:54.
surprised. #8 Keep keep has had three | :07:55. | :07:59.
interceptions. No other quarterback has had more than one. So that | :08:00. | :08:07.
pressure really getting to the Rams. Look at the quarterback stats and | :08:08. | :08:10.
you can see them on the screen right now. Not a prolific half runner from | :08:11. | :08:13.
either player. 21 passes from 107 yards. That is | :08:14. | :08:24.
the key. They are not throwing anything that's very long. They want | :08:25. | :08:28.
to get the running game going. That is easier said than done. How do the | :08:29. | :08:34.
Giants do that in the second half? They have to get created. Get some | :08:35. | :08:38.
balls down the field to make that defensive backup. | :08:39. | :08:44.
We will look into a bit more of this in just a moment's time. All season | :08:45. | :08:49.
long, as part of our coverage here, OC and Jason have met other | :08:50. | :08:52.

cannot complain. You look like a tank. You look like you lift. It is | :09:27. | :09:32.
exciting to see the NFL coming to Twickenham. A big fan? A big fan. : | :09:33. | :09:38.
Unfortunately I am a Jets fan. Because you are a Jets fan I will go | :09:39. | :09:44.
extra hard on you today. You are still in excellent shape, | :09:45. | :09:49.
man. Yes. Kind of sexy. Don't mind me saying. Apparently American | :09:50. | :09:54.
football is twice as physical as rugby. How do you feel about that? I | :09:55. | :09:59.
can see the argument it is twice as physical. I think the impacts are | :10:00. | :10:05.
hands above what we get in rugby. We get more of a repetitive load, | :10:06. | :10:10.
whereas you get a one-shot knock-out. I've had my injuries, | :10:11. | :10:17.
I've had knees, bicep. I've had five knee surgeries, hip surgery. I tore | :10:18. | :10:21.
cartilage in my knee. Stitched it. I had that once. You know what I'm | :10:22. | :10:27.
talking about. As a fan of NFL I have seen from how hard knocks to | :10:28. | :10:32.
how Ruthlet the sport can be. Guys can turn up for a few games and turn | :10:33. | :10:37.
up in preseason thand are on their own. In rugby we usually have a | :10:38. | :10:43.
season or so security. It is tough. Even though we are a family and one, | :10:44. | :10:47.
you know at the end of the day you are playing for yourself. And you | :10:48. | :10:50.
have to go out there every single week and perform. If you don't | :10:51. | :10:59.
perform, you are gone. 23 bench presses. It is unchartered | :11:00. | :11:05.
territory. Probably do 60 just to warm up. I think you set me up. I | :11:06. | :11:11.
think 225 eds. This is like sink or swim now! | :11:12. | :11:15.
I'll be like, cut, cut, cut the music. That didn't happen! Are you | :11:16. | :11:24.
ready? Let's do it! One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight... | :11:25. | :11:28.
Given all you have been through, all the injuries and all the scars that | :11:29. | :11:31.
you have right now, would you do it all over again? In a heart beat. Me | :11:32. | :11:36.
too! I play for my country. I have won the Premiership title. I have | :11:37. | :11:41.
won a Lions series. I wouldn't trade one of those experiences. You have | :11:42. | :11:45.
to get this last one. 23... ... There it is. | :11:46. | :12:01.
You got to 20 pretty easy. And dropped all of a sudden. Coming to | :12:02. | :12:04.
the game at Twickenham? Definitely. As we are in Twickenham let's get | :12:05. | :12:15.
Anthony Watson now. How are you? All good. How long have you followed the | :12:16. | :12:22.
NFL? Two or three years now. Mostly in the last year, you know, I have | :12:23. | :12:26.
been watching a lot of red zone on Sundays and we've got a little | :12:27. | :12:30.
fantasy group at Bath, so all the boys are giving each other banter | :12:31. | :12:34.
and stuff. How is the fantasy team doing? I am three-in-three. | :12:35. | :12:40.
There is a good question to start off with. What happened with fantasy | :12:41. | :12:48.
rugby? I don't know. I think it's, as a player, you are not allowed to | :12:49. | :12:53.
have a fantasy team in rugby. I leave that to my parents and stuff. | :12:54. | :13:01.
Jonathan jops said you might fancy a go at the NFL, is that about right? | :13:02. | :13:05.
It is not something I would rule out, for sure. It is an unbelievable | :13:06. | :13:09.
sport. I think the freedom they get to express themselves is something | :13:10. | :13:12.
which is attractive to me. I think it is a great spectacle. It is | :13:13. | :13:16.
great, it is a great sport to be involved with. So, yeah, it is | :13:17. | :13:19.
definitely something I wouldn't rule out. Do you think he has the | :13:20. | :13:25.
potential? I have studied this man. He has the size, the speed and the | :13:26. | :13:30.
pace as we like to call it out here. A winger, a receiver. A phenomenal | :13:31. | :13:37.
athlete. We will open yo you with -- welcome you with open arms. We are | :13:38. | :13:43.
seeing more sportsmen making the transition into the NFL, is that a | :13:44. | :13:47.
trend that will continue? I think so. We know the amount of money. You | :13:48. | :13:52.
will see more and more players trying to make that leap. It is not | :13:53. | :13:58.
like sock ker where you have to at a young age. In the NFL, you are a | :13:59. | :14:03.
great athlete and you can run, you can teach that guy how to be a | :14:04. | :14:06.
football player. Any position? You don't want to be a quarterback. But | :14:07. | :14:10.
a guy like a receiver, if he has the skills this man has, or running | :14:11. | :14:14.
back, which is more instinctive you can teach them to be a running back, | :14:15. | :14:18.
they will be more successful. Which positions do you look at when you | :14:19. | :14:22.
watch the NFL? To the wide receivers. I like to watch their | :14:23. | :14:26.
footwork when they get the ball in their hands and their ability to | :14:27. | :14:29.
exploit space and stuff like that. It is awesome to watch. And running | :14:30. | :14:35.
backwards as -- and running guys as well, seeing how they manoeuvre | :14:36. | :14:37.
themselves out of positions where they look compromised. How do you | :14:38. | :14:41.
find the difference between styles of play over a receiver or a runner | :14:42. | :14:46.
back in the way you would be running in rugby? ? I think the receivers is | :14:47. | :14:50.
similar to when a winger gets the ball. Both are comparable to where a | :14:51. | :14:54.
winger would touch the ball. Sometimes you will be in a confined | :14:55. | :14:58.
area in the wing, pressure on you. That is similar to a running back, I | :14:59. | :15:03.
guess. Other times you get the ball from the kick counter, again when | :15:04. | :15:08.
you have got space. Sip particular to a punt re-- similar to a punt | :15:09. | :15:12.
return. On the outside, one block and a couple of guys in front of | :15:13. | :15:16.
him. That is like taking a long pass in rugby? Exactly. Just like that. | :15:17. | :15:22.
It is something I like to watch and see how the guys manoeuvre in areas | :15:23. | :15:23.
like that. This is a question of Weasley often | :15:24. | :15:33.
thrown around by British fans, people suggest rugby is a tougher | :15:34. | :15:41.
game. It is hard to compare the two until you have pads and helmets but | :15:42. | :15:46.
I think that increases the physicality. If you want to contrast | :15:47. | :15:53.
them, you might be prone to different injuries. It is difficult | :15:54. | :15:58.
to say without having played both. Fast and explosive game. Fundamental | :15:59. | :16:05.
game is that is more free-flowing. Cobb absolutely, there is more | :16:06. | :16:13.
running in rugby, definitely it is different like that. In this game it | :16:14. | :16:22.
is even Stevens at half-time, who is your money on. Kerr and the Giants | :16:23. | :16:33.
fan. No wonder he invited him. How confident are you this season? It | :16:34. | :16:39.
has been a bit Jekyll and Hyde? Four pretty confident, the guys talk | :16:40. | :16:45.
about trying to get OBJ on the ball, we saw what he could do last week | :16:46. | :16:49.
with those two touchdowns. I would like to see more of that. Does he | :16:50. | :16:54.
seem out of sorts? I would not say so. Obviously had very limited | :16:55. | :17:03.
touches so far. Waiting for the first penalty in international rugby | :17:04. | :17:07.
for unnecessary celebration. It will not come any time soon. Gentleman | :17:08. | :17:14.
sport. Still a bit more time before the second half. Outside of the | :17:15. | :17:17.
Giants, which other teams have you seen this season that could be | :17:18. | :17:22.
contenders which Mark Vira I think the Eagles are looking pretty good. | :17:23. | :17:27.
Carson rents has been going pretty well. And I think the Vikings are | :17:28. | :17:32.
still undefeated. -- Carson it will be pretty closely matched | :17:33. | :17:44.
competition. What about the first game ever at Twickenham, what next | :17:45. | :17:52.
for the NFL over here? I think it is great, talking about potentially | :17:53. | :17:56.
having a team head, that would be unbelievable. Having these regular | :17:57. | :18:03.
games is awesome. COMMENTATOR: Let's get back to the game. COMMENTATOR: | :18:04. | :18:12.
Stacey on the sideline. An update on Dwayne Harris, still awaiting word, | :18:13. | :18:19.
Ben McAdoo uncertain about his return. Being Rainey and Sterling | :18:20. | :18:24.
Shepard will return in his absence. As for the running game, it has been | :18:25. | :18:27.
porous in the first off, coach told me the Giants need more attempts. | :18:28. | :18:33.
Coaching the coach, this is another tight ball game and we are built for | :18:34. | :18:37.
this in the second half. Stacey, thank you. Case Keenum and his team | :18:38. | :18:49.
on the 19-yard line. Pierre-Paul, they have a receiver downfield but | :18:50. | :18:53.
incomplete as they were taking a look deep and they could not | :18:54. | :18:57.
connect. Kenny Britt coverage went missing. Great route by Kenny Britt. | :18:58. | :19:08.
Collins for some reason thought he was going on the crossing route and | :19:09. | :19:11.
he was so glad to see the ball sailed over his head. Would have | :19:12. | :19:20.
been a touchdown. Early in the season the main target was Brian | :19:21. | :19:26.
Quick catching the touchdown passes. Britt has been the man sense. Girlie | :19:27. | :19:31.
brought down by Kennet. -- a good sign for the Rams. They're | :19:32. | :19:44.
rushing attack has been woeful today. As has been the Giants'. Both | :19:45. | :19:52.
those turnovers turned into seven points. | :19:53. | :20:03.
Six defensive backs including Eli Apple for the Giants. Keenum moves | :20:04. | :20:15.
up nicely and he finds his tight end. Who has got the cash to the 32, | :20:16. | :20:26.
picks up the first. 1st down for the Rams. Keenum does a good job with | :20:27. | :20:33.
his pocket to awareness. Saw the Giants were rushing wide trying to | :20:34. | :20:37.
get indeed but he stepped up smartly to make that completion for the 1st | :20:38. | :20:42.
down. Those little things that a quarterback does. Awareness of his | :20:43. | :20:49.
pocket. Good job by Keenum. Two tight ends in the secondary. They go | :20:50. | :20:58.
outside. Kendricks has it, Collins was there. Andrew Adams makes the | :20:59. | :21:06.
hit. They pick up three. It is really the quarterback's biggest | :21:07. | :21:10.
fear after play-action, away from the rush that time. As soon as | :21:11. | :21:14.
Keenum got his eyes back down the field he was right in his face. Good | :21:15. | :21:20.
job again by keen to get rid of that ball. -- by Keenum. Just received | :21:21. | :21:26.
word Harris is questionable. A starter all season and defensive | :21:27. | :21:44.
tackle, Hankins, had sacked last week against Joe Flacco. Good | :21:45. | :21:53.
mobility as he skated down the line. Waiting for Gurley to turn back up | :21:54. | :21:55.
the field. Coming in. Caught across the way by | :21:56. | :22:27.
Quick. By Rodgers-Cromartie and Eli Apple. They get him out to the 39. | :22:28. | :22:34.
Really good tackle by Rodgers-Cromartie. Keeping Quick | :22:35. | :22:41.
from turning upfield and getting the 1st down. Beckham back and Hekker | :22:42. | :22:48.
will punt. Just enter the second half. Harris with that lower back | :22:49. | :22:59.
injury if you are just joining us. Probably he will not return. Beckham | :23:00. | :23:07.
from the 10-yard line. Chase Reynolds the leading special teams | :23:08. | :23:12.
tackle the Los Angeles Rams. Flag throw. | :23:13. | :23:32.
Eli Manning ready to come out on the field. During the kick, holding, | :23:33. | :23:42.
number 30 of the return team. Half the distance to the goal from the | :23:43. | :23:46.
end of the kick, New York ball, 1st down. The began his season with the | :23:47. | :23:56.
Rams and he was let go, frustration there, he had space to roam. , Guy | :23:57. | :24:03.
will give you a warning about Kristian Phillips, he said he would | :24:04. | :24:07.
wind me up. Hopefully it won't go wrong. You have nothing to fear. | :24:08. | :24:13.
Cobb I have been told it is a pretty good week, Osi taught you how to | :24:14. | :24:19.
score. Since I met him we have done well in the primly, my first goal | :24:20. | :24:23.
yesterday and I'm happy about that. That is my gift for myself. Kerr | :24:24. | :24:30.
score a few more and you can come back. Who is your team? One, New | :24:31. | :24:37.
York in blue, you can imagine. My family from New York. Giants fan. LA | :24:38. | :24:47.
Rams, you can have that. You have told me hundreds of other people | :24:48. | :24:50.
that you could do this, this could be you after Leicester'. When the | :24:51. | :24:55.
kickers were warming up I was watching their technique and it is | :24:56. | :24:58.
very impressive but I believe I can do it. Something to think about, | :24:59. | :25:03.
couple of practice sessions that I believe in myself, it is a dream of | :25:04. | :25:07.
mine and I'm going for it. At the end of his contract? Or whenever the | :25:08. | :25:14.
Giants need me. Vocal forum here now if you want to say to them come and | :25:15. | :25:18.
get me. You have my number, just call me. More that you are just | :25:19. | :25:25.
right" Odell Beckham over there. It is so loud I did not hear you. That | :25:26. | :25:29.
is where you said you would wind me up. We will let you go and do your | :25:30. | :25:34.
addition, which one of them do you think you should take out? I am | :25:35. | :25:42.
obviously the kicker. There is nothing else other than that. Where | :25:43. | :25:44.
done here. I'm done with you. Stop. COMMENTATOR: After the punt on the | :25:45. | :26:01.
first possession, Jennings hit, terrific hybrid safety linebacker, | :26:02. | :26:09.
one of type in the NFL. Not a bad start in the second half. You can | :26:10. | :26:16.
see how one possession here of any significant time and that only lead | :26:17. | :26:26.
to three points. Eli Manning in the nickel. Jennings hit at the five. | :26:27. | :26:38.
Troy Hill with some help. Mark Barron there again. The main asset | :26:39. | :26:41.
of this Rams defense, their speed and pursuit, seeing it play after | :26:42. | :26:49.
play. The Giants with the ball in space but not gaining much yardage. | :26:50. | :26:57.
22 passes, 11 runs from the Giants. Not the kind of balance they were | :26:58. | :27:05.
looking for. 3rd down. The pressure was coming from the sideline, Robert | :27:06. | :27:09.
Quinn blew that player. Manning and the last second try through the | :27:10. | :27:17.
screen pass and saw Ogletree right in the middle and threw the ball | :27:18. | :27:20.
into the ground smartly or it would have been a touchdown for the Rams. | :27:21. | :27:25.
The pressure by Quinn, and the coverage by Ogletree. Flowers got | :27:26. | :27:39.
beat on that one. Now we have Brad Wing panting from underneath the | :27:40. | :27:43.
crossbar and he slipped as he gets. Out of bounds near midfield. Flag | :27:44. | :27:51.
throw. -- slipped as he kicked. Brad Wing when he was planting slipped | :27:52. | :27:58.
and then the subsequent penalty flag as everyone was running the other | :27:59. | :28:04.
way. During the kick, holding, receiving the number 39. 10-yard | :28:05. | :28:10.
penalty from the end of the kick. Los Angeles ball, 1st down. Malcolm | :28:11. | :28:16.
Brown of the Rams, the eighth penalty. | :28:17. | :28:24.
The turf causing more issues, lots of messages coming in on Twitter. | :28:25. | :28:33.
Jeff Fisher asking, if they do not have a winning season, is his time | :28:34. | :28:44.
with the Rams over?, Clyne, five years with the Rams, twice as good | :28:45. | :28:50.
as the three or four coaches who preceded him, they do not want the | :28:51. | :28:57.
turnover. We joke about his latterly, .500 on a good day. That | :28:58. | :29:02.
is what it is, he is a good coach and he can bring a young team up and | :29:03. | :29:08.
develop them. Defensive head coach and you start off on that side of | :29:09. | :29:13.
the ball. The age of the head coach is interesting, Tom Coughlin older | :29:14. | :29:17.
than a lot of his players but the players responded, is that changing | :29:18. | :29:22.
in the NFL, that the players will react better to younger coaches like | :29:23. | :29:27.
in other sports. I think the younger coaches tend to identify more with | :29:28. | :29:30.
the players and that is the difference. This generation has | :29:31. | :29:35.
completely changed from when we came up, now you have maybe the younger | :29:36. | :29:39.
head coach to identify and really build camaraderie with the younger | :29:40. | :29:43.
players. Having said that you have Bruce Arians and Mike Zimmer both | :29:44. | :29:49.
have their first head coaching jobs in their 60s, just approaching 60. | :29:50. | :29:54.
They used to say when you hit 55 that is it for coaching. Belichick | :29:55. | :30:00.
still going at 66, a lot of older coaches. You young guys need | :30:01. | :30:06.
authority figures. To keep you in line. It is about connecting with | :30:07. | :30:10.
the players on a social level. Zimmer does that well still. | :30:11. | :30:25.
And the sweep and it goes here to Tavon Austin. | :30:26. | :30:33.
Chased out of bounds by verm Vernon. It is a spectacular | :30:34. | :30:54.
stadium and the pitch, it is the width of a rugby field, obviously, | :30:55. | :30:59.
but a lot bigger than a normal football field. | :31:00. | :31:04.
Wrapped up Biharry son, one of the newest -- by Harrison, one of the | :31:05. | :31:09.
newest Giants. You would think it is good field position, but it is not | :31:10. | :31:12.
here in England. This is good pitch position. I have to say that very | :31:13. | :31:16.
carefully. I knew where you were going! Am I that obvious? They had | :31:17. | :31:23.
the Rugby World Cup here last year. It was awesome, too. It was, yes. | :31:24. | :31:31.
The NFL comes to play, they have a game here next week. | :31:32. | :31:40.
Got it. He had started the season as he gets the 1st down and brought | :31:41. | :31:50.
down by Robinson, he started the season by getting hit behind the | :31:51. | :31:53.
line of scrimmage. Over half the time he was getting the ball there | :31:54. | :32:03.
was not any breathing space. You could see how determined he was | :32:04. | :32:05.
to get the 1 1st down. They come from the side... Coverage | :32:06. | :32:31.
by Jenkins. And they were putting pressure off | :32:32. | :32:36.
the edge. This is another good play by Jenkins. He goes up with his | :32:37. | :32:42.
right-hand between the two hands to knock that ball away. Look at Britt, | :32:43. | :32:47.
with tremendous effort, knowing the ball was still alive, trying to make | :32:48. | :32:53.
the catch. Jenkins who got beat earlier in the game, has bounced | :32:54. | :32:54.
back nicely. Gurley, but with a great read on it | :32:55. | :33:14.
there, Collins. Has to pick six. Talking about Dan gaining down to | :33:15. | :33:21.
the 42-yard line of New York. We had a nice conversation with Gurley, | :33:22. | :33:25.
telling us how he likes to be a receiver. When you are a receiver | :33:26. | :33:27.
there are two or three guys. Cunningham is in. | :33:28. | :33:50.
Into 3rd 8. Caught by Britt. Jenkins with a great open field | :33:51. | :33:55.
tackle. Jenkins, the former Rams. Down to | :33:56. | :34:01.
the 42. It is man-to-man coverage because the Giants were coming with | :34:02. | :34:06.
an all out blitz. That puts a lot of pressure on the | :34:07. | :34:10.
corner. But Jenkins, another big play for New York. | :34:11. | :34:25.
Beckham is back here taking the place of Harris, inside the five. | :34:26. | :34:33.
What a punt by one of the best in the business, Johnny Hekker. | :34:34. | :34:46.
Raze 668 catches. 997 yards. A Super Bowl as well. Not bad going. | :34:47. | :34:58.
I guess you guys go back a little bit. | :34:59. | :35:03.
You came to London in 2007 for the first international game, which | :35:04. | :35:06.
turned oh tout be a very good season for the Giants. And the play must | :35:07. | :35:10.
have some special memories for you? It did. The memories were not really | :35:11. | :35:15.
on the field. It was after the game. We had a party. We went to London. | :35:16. | :35:21.
It was off the charts. You made the flight back though! Barely! We ended | :35:22. | :35:28.
up going the next day, the so that ended up being pretty good for us. A | :35:29. | :35:31.
good night. I want to hear more about this. I don't think you do! An | :35:32. | :35:37.
interesting season. You weren't in great shape really coming into | :35:38. | :35:41.
London. You went in to the playoffs as underdogs really. It all came | :35:42. | :35:46.
together for you? It was more of a revenge tour, like all the teams who | :35:47. | :35:49.
had beaten us during the year we came back and beat all of them. We | :35:50. | :35:56.
played the Cowboys. The Green Bay Packers, we ended up beating them. | :35:57. | :36:01.
The Patriots beat us week 16. We came back and beat them. We were the | :36:02. | :36:05.
underdogs. A double dig get underdog. I remember thinking, has | :36:06. | :36:13.
everybody taken stupid pills? Did they see week 17 when we let them | :36:14. | :36:17.
off the hook. So the experts don't know everything. But these guys do. | :36:18. | :36:22.
Naturally. That must have been a massive motivator. | :36:23. | :36:27.
It was unbelievable. One thing I will never forget, we played Dallas | :36:28. | :36:30.
in the playoffs. That was the best team by far. I remember going half | :36:31. | :36:37.
time, like he scored a long touchdown. I was like, we're going | :36:38. | :36:40.
to get it. It was an unbelievable season. Going up, underdogs every | :36:41. | :36:43.
single game. It was great. THE COMMENTATOR: A terrific play and | :36:44. | :36:58.
big hit made on the play, with a loss of two. | :36:59. | :37:04.
You know they had two blockers in front of Jennings here. Watch | :37:05. | :37:08.
Ogletree get in here to make this play. Tremendous play by Ogletree. | :37:09. | :37:17.
The middle linebacker was an outside backer for the Rams. | :37:18. | :37:31.
Manning, 2nd 126789 looking for Beckham. They beat -- 2nd 12. | :37:32. | :37:41.
Looking for Beckham. At 19. He's up to the 19-yard line of New York. The | :37:42. | :37:45.
key here is to get the ball out quickly to Beckham. Then the | :37:46. | :37:51.
adjustment to the ball, perfectly thrown by Eli Manning. | :37:52. | :38:01.
Outside Cruz... Tangles across the way with Gaines. A nice conversation | :38:02. | :38:14.
with the coach yesterday, he and Eli Manning and their relationship. Well | :38:15. | :38:22.
he's been in Green Bay with ar Ron Rogers. He says all three, although | :38:23. | :38:25.
they have different personalities, prepare as well as anybody. And they | :38:26. | :38:28.
have the killer instinct. Ogletree get 1st down. One thing | :38:29. | :38:48.
they have in common, you said I could bring each quarterback to the | :38:49. | :38:53.
sideline and they could give me the smallest detail of what happened on | :38:54. | :38:56.
a particular play or series. . It comes from the preparation and of | :38:57. | :39:00.
course from experience. What a luxury he has as a first year head | :39:01. | :39:07.
coach to have a guy with the experience of Eli Manning. 1st 10. | :39:08. | :39:16.
Oh, big hit. Hit made by Maurice Alexander. Still | :39:17. | :39:19.
a gain of four with the quick hitter. Out to the 36: | :39:20. | :39:33.
Beckham said Shepard, himself and Cruz are one-shot guys. They can | :39:34. | :39:37.
take the shot and take it the distance. | :39:38. | :39:43.
Ogletree around, his shoulder pads out to the 45 45-yard. Hayes is | :39:44. | :39:56.
helping with Rashad Jennings. This is a great situation with 3rd down | :39:57. | :39:58.
and a yard to go. Filling up the box. 3rd 1. Looking | :39:59. | :40:16.
for Beckham, who could not bring it down with the coverage on the play | :40:17. | :40:22.
by Lamarcus Joyner. I think he had the opportunity at the end of this | :40:23. | :40:26.
to get both hands up there. If he gets both hands up there, he makes | :40:27. | :40:30.
this catch with ease. Well, maybe not with ease, with the pressure | :40:31. | :40:36.
there, by Joyner. Still you like to see him go up with two hands. | :40:37. | :40:41.
Although he's made so many spectacular one-hand catches in his | :40:42. | :40:42.
career. Let's talk about this Giants | :40:43. | :41:08.
receiving and start with Odell Beckham. There's so much attention | :41:09. | :41:11.
on him. How talented a receiver do you think | :41:12. | :41:16.
he is? The skies the limit with him. I don't think there's any | :41:17. | :41:19.
limitations on how good he can be or how good he is right now. The only | :41:20. | :41:24.
thing that really holds him back is what's between his ears. Getting in | :41:25. | :41:28.
his head, getting him out of his game, it is part of sports. All | :41:29. | :41:32.
sports. You try and get the player not to focus on what he has to do | :41:33. | :41:37.
and focus on something else and that is kind of what all these teams have | :41:38. | :41:41.
been trying to do since they played the Rams two years ago. And | :41:42. | :41:45.
receivers and quarterbacks like to talk a lot of the time. It is funny, | :41:46. | :41:49.
I remember playing and I was too tired to ever talk to anybody. I | :41:50. | :41:55.
remember, what's the play... So you played it cool. Didn't let it phase | :41:56. | :41:59.
you? There was a lot of talking, maybe with the big dudes, but not | :42:00. | :42:03.
much talking out on the island right there. With Beckham and his off | :42:04. | :42:08.
field antics, not on the field of play, but getting wound up with | :42:09. | :42:13.
history onics anding a stated, is that something which as he -- and is | :42:14. | :42:19.
that something which will disappear dorks you think? One thing I would | :42:20. | :42:23.
like him to do is understand what it is to play in the NFL. It is not an | :42:24. | :42:29.
individual sport. It is the ultimate team game. He needs to focus on | :42:30. | :42:34.
winning. Focus on his team-mates. Focus on what's important. All this | :42:35. | :42:38.
other stuff to me, it seems like a waste of energy. That is what | :42:39. | :42:41.
rookies and young players normally do in the league. He'll figure it | :42:42. | :42:46.
out. He's 23. All the great highlight catches, not one game with | :42:47. | :42:51.
him on the field. So not saying that is his fault. | :42:52. | :43:01.
Waiting for Victor Cruz to do something like that. Sounds like you | :43:02. | :43:10.
had a big time last time you were in London. | :43:11. | :43:13.
Thank you. Appreciate it. | :43:14. | :43:23.
A catch and run of 20. To the 25 of LA. That is what we were talking | :43:24. | :43:32.
about earlier, the preference to be a receiver at times, because he's | :43:33. | :43:36.
got this ability. He makes a miss there. Another one right there and | :43:37. | :43:40.
then powers through for another five yards. | :43:41. | :43:47.
That is a huge play. Got Jason Pierre-Paul coming down. | :43:48. | :43:49.
A great second effort. Gurley making his way. Initially by | :43:50. | :44:04.
Jennings. Big play so far has been the Giants defense and landing, they | :44:05. | :44:09.
just had the Giants defense only had two take aways, both interceptions | :44:10. | :44:14.
by Jenkins. But this time it was landing Collins with the pick six | :44:15. | :44:23.
for defensive co-ordinator. And of the ball was perfectly thrown | :44:24. | :44:28.
by Tavon Austin. It went through his hands and Collins picked it up. | :44:29. | :44:36.
2nd 2. Down on the play by Shepard. Out | :44:37. | :44:46.
near the 36-yard line. Good patience by Kennard, keeping the pass play | :44:47. | :44:52.
alive until the last moment, when couldn't find anything. Needed | :44:53. | :45:01.
little yardage for 1st down. Talk about Kennard, set of records. | :45:02. | :45:05.
Passing yards in college football. And Kennard... A gain of two on the | :45:06. | :45:23.
play, after the 37-yard line. NFL Total Access... | :45:24. | :45:46.
The blue with dead and the pressure came from everywhere. Case Keenum | :45:47. | :46:08.
was looking there. Connor Hankins right here. Actually he is on the | :46:09. | :46:16.
side. He gets inside Robinson. And again Keenum kind of runs into the | :46:17. | :46:26.
sack. Hankins cleaning it up. Losing six. | :46:27. | :46:44.
Third quarter comes to a close. Two teams at .500. STUDIO: The score | :46:45. | :46:56.
still tired, very evenly poised. I do not think the St Louis fans were | :46:57. | :47:03.
cheering Victor Cruz. I think it is so much fun to watch Hankins and | :47:04. | :47:08.
Harris, Hankins doing everything that they have got Snacks to do but | :47:09. | :47:13.
when they are together it is like Sam Adams and Tony Sirigu 's were | :47:14. | :47:19.
together at the Ravens. What they need is a little linebacker behind | :47:20. | :47:28.
them. You can use that to your advantage as a linebacker. I love | :47:29. | :47:33.
this, it might not be exciting, you might want to see Tavon Austin and | :47:34. | :47:42.
OBJ but I love great defense bingo. -- Tony Siragusa. This week already | :47:43. | :47:48.
started. Fascinating game on Thursday, the other Thursday, Green | :47:49. | :47:54.
Bay beat Chicago Byrd it was far from a vintage performance. Not a | :47:55. | :47:59.
great performance, the Bears are just not very good, especially in | :48:00. | :48:07.
the secondary. What is up with Aaron Rodgers? He should change his name, | :48:08. | :48:15.
he is not Aaron Rodgers. He usually is very accurate. By now he is not | :48:16. | :48:21.
on point with his receivers. One of the big games that affect this one | :48:22. | :48:27.
is Seattle at Arizona, huge game. The other big game is Minnesota at | :48:28. | :48:38.
Philadelphia, who have had two bad losses in a row. Carson Wentz, is he | :48:39. | :48:46.
for real, Minnesota could be looking for a quarterback again. They know | :48:47. | :48:49.
how to get after quarterbacks. In. As a running back. Incomplete. | :48:50. | :49:14.
Going for Brit and coverage by Jenkins. , if I Rams I'm going to | :49:15. | :49:22.
throw the ball to the other side of the field, away from Jenkins. It | :49:23. | :49:25.
comes down again and he slips just enough to allow Jenkins to beat in | :49:26. | :49:40.
the ball, basically. Hekker to punt. The is Harris. He is back out there | :49:41. | :49:49.
after hurting his lower back. He retrieves this. | :49:50. | :50:17.
STUDIO: Next Sunday of course on the BBC you can see the third | :50:18. | :50:24.
International series game, Redskins and the Bengals, that is on next | :50:25. | :50:26.
weekend. Cruz, hit by gains, first-round | :50:27. | :50:48.
pick. Manning had time to look over the entire field. Initially wanted | :50:49. | :50:53.
to go to back the left side that he saw he was covered. -- EJ Gaines. | :50:54. | :51:08.
First and ten. Beckham thought he might get more. He gained six,., | :51:09. | :51:21.
this is a good flock by decking, Shepard had to go and make an | :51:22. | :51:24.
adjustment to make this catch but the flock on Hill is enough to get | :51:25. | :51:27.
in that five yard gain. Shepard banged up on the play, the | :51:28. | :51:54.
catch made. Kerr I asked Odell Beckham about Shepard and he says he | :51:55. | :51:59.
is in the phenomenal, tremendous talent. He shows toughness on that | :52:00. | :52:08.
one. The outstretched reach of Victor Cruz. Coverage by TJ | :52:09. | :52:17.
McDonald. Four I think it is having an effect on the front four. | :52:18. | :52:40.
Shepard outside, Beckham long and good tackle made across the way by | :52:41. | :52:49.
Troy Hill. Jermaine Johnson -- Trumaine Johnson and secondary for | :52:50. | :52:55.
the early rounds. Further down coming on. Eli Manning says he gets | :52:56. | :53:02.
a text message every game from Tom Coughlin. Keeps in contact with his | :53:03. | :53:09.
old coach. , they have 12 great years. | :53:10. | :53:21.
Will Tye jousting with Mark Barron. The Giants hoping for the flag. Four | :53:22. | :53:36.
Allan Donald and Dominique Easley with pressure on Manning. You can | :53:37. | :53:43.
see getting involved there, coverage in the secondary on the tight end by | :53:44. | :53:49.
Mark Barron. Seventh of the day for Brad Wing. The pressure of the | :53:50. | :53:54.
middle. From the 12. Some room on this site. | :53:55. | :54:06.
Another block from Kendricks. He takes the ball up nearly 32. 21 yard | :54:07. | :54:20.
return by Tavon Austin. Lots of big names have been dropping by both you | :54:21. | :54:25.
had better be on your best behaviour, Osi, the boss in town. | :54:26. | :54:30.
Roger Goodell, commissioner of the NFL. Must be an exciting time to be | :54:31. | :54:42.
watching at Twickenham. Four quite an honour to be able to play at this | :54:43. | :54:46.
stadium and you can see the fans reacting to this before the game and | :54:47. | :54:51.
inside the stadium. I think it is a thrill for the players, they are | :54:52. | :54:54.
excited about it as well. It is great for the NFL and another step | :54:55. | :54:58.
in our development which are reasonably happy about. Did you | :54:59. | :55:01.
notice split it would be as much of a success when you first roll the | :55:02. | :55:06.
dice for London? When I can live to you and say I did that I didn't. I | :55:07. | :55:11.
do not think anybody anticipated it would turn out this way. When it | :55:12. | :55:15.
first started we were anxious to see how the fans would react. To be able | :55:16. | :55:28.
to say we now have close to 17 games, I do not think with the | :55:29. | :55:35.
powerful this will happen. There are two' keys to it, fans reaction here | :55:36. | :55:41.
in London but we never would have guessed that. 23 teams to come over | :55:42. | :55:57.
and all of them want. They can do it without compromising their | :55:58. | :56:00.
competitiveness on the field, that is a good outcome., England A that | :56:01. | :56:06.
they think rugby should be doing this in other countries. Be one of | :56:07. | :56:09.
the fastest-growing sports back in the states. There is such a | :56:10. | :56:16.
connection. The route of our game and must be unlikely, although | :56:17. | :56:20.
people have not pinpointed that. You can see the connection. It is a | :56:21. | :56:23.
great thing for us to be in the affiliate. | :56:24. | :56:35.
After the punt, going deep, deflected, intercepted for a second | :56:36. | :56:41.
time by Collins and again he has block is ahead. He breaks on tackle | :56:42. | :56:50.
but then taken down by Tavon Austin. Two picks, Landon Collins. The Giant | :56:51. | :56:58.
defense only had two takeaway is the entire season coming into today., | :56:59. | :57:03.
this one poorly framed bike Keenum because of the pressure. It goes up | :57:04. | :57:09.
in the air and easily picked off. Getting his hand on that ball. Again | :57:10. | :57:13.
Keane and Robinson with a big play. You can see what the Giants can do | :57:14. | :57:19.
with this excellent field position. Two takeaway is in six games and two | :57:20. | :57:30.
from the same guide today. At the 35, Manning, and that one almost | :57:31. | :57:35.
picked off by Mark Barron. Incomplete. Another Alabama guy, | :57:36. | :57:44.
much like Collins. Crossing route to Beckham. Manning does not seem Mark | :57:45. | :57:51.
Barron dropping into the zone. Hoping to split the zone with their | :57:52. | :57:56.
convert Mark Barron again, job opportunity for the rounds. | :57:57. | :58:10.
Caught by the rookie free-agent out of Bowling Green, Roger Lewis. Hit | :58:11. | :58:28.
by EJ Gaines. , could just two from ten for the Giants converting their | :58:29. | :58:32.
third downs today. Cruz the receiver in now. At the bottom of your screen | :58:33. | :58:42.
is Larry Donnell. Into the pocket and great catch by | :58:43. | :58:58.
Beckham. They beat Alexander, inside the seven, 22 yards, Beckham gives | :58:59. | :59:04.
them the 1st goal. And as he goes up with two hands this time, behind | :59:05. | :59:10.
EJ Gaines and keeps his focus on the ball. And his focus on the field. | :59:11. | :59:16.
Not over celebrating and risking another penalty. Tremendous play by | :59:17. | :59:21.
Beckham. And good choice from Eli Manning. Cruz still out. Jennings. | :59:22. | :59:38.
Across the five and nearly three. Westbrook 's and others. Alexander | :59:39. | :59:47.
with a hit as well. Will Tye comes in for Larry Donnell. | :59:48. | :59:58.
Jennings. Down near the 1-yard line. A lot of hands on him down there. | :59:59. | :00:12.
Using the strength of their offensive line. Rough going, Rashad | :00:13. | :00:23.
Jennings, ten carries, just 17 yards. Surprising on 2nd down. | :00:24. | :00:25.
Putting pressure on this 3rd down. Jennings and touchdown. They've | :00:26. | :00:51.
taken the lead. The Giants have scored 16 unanswered. | :00:52. | :00:58.
A veteran quarterback saw the weakness of this defense. He shifted | :00:59. | :01:04.
Jennings over to the left side, behind Ereck Flowers. This is what | :01:05. | :01:10.
Elii is looking at, this area right here, he'll bring Jennings over and | :01:11. | :01:14.
just have him break the tackle there of Ogletree and get in for the | :01:15. | :01:19.
score. Jennings has missed half the season with injury. He gets his | :01:20. | :01:26.
first touchdown of the season there. It is 17-10, Giants, with 17 | :01:27. | :01:32.
unanswered. 14 of New York's 17 have come off LA turnovers. S Collins set | :01:33. | :01:43.
up the touchdown by Jennings for the Giants. So finally the Giants get it | :01:44. | :01:50.
going in the fourth quarter. Collins is in the right place and | :01:51. | :01:56.
gets it going. This is what defensives do all the time. This one | :01:57. | :02:06.
is from Keenum. Colin is right, just like the last time. Right there to | :02:07. | :02:10.
get it and doesn't have as good a run. He didn't let the rugby stuff | :02:11. | :02:15.
go to his head. The fans have paid their money the | :02:16. | :02:19.
see Beckham, of course and this is him finally stepping up. You see him | :02:20. | :02:24.
go between two defenders and go up with two hands this time. Makes an | :02:25. | :02:29.
incredible play for the New York Giants. They have a man's touchdown. | :02:30. | :02:35.
Straight ahead blocking, the ball to the point of attack and Jennings | :02:36. | :02:36.
fights through. The Giants take the lead 17-10. | :02:37. | :02:48.
Roger is still with us. I am delighted to say. The sheriff! | :02:49. | :02:55.
You can call him that. Ogletree, one that the fans play to see. How | :02:56. | :02:58.
important is it that you have superstars that cut through like he | :02:59. | :03:03.
does? Well, I think it is great for the NFL and great for players like | :03:04. | :03:11.
him. They get their personalities on a bigger stage, a global stage. So | :03:12. | :03:14.
we want to put our players in that position because they deserve it. We | :03:15. | :03:19.
think they are the world's greatest athletes but also great people. I | :03:20. | :03:25.
want to ask you why you are here. What is the future of the game? What | :03:26. | :03:30.
happens next? Well, I don't have any big announcements for you today. But | :03:31. | :03:34.
you know what we have seen here is every time we do something new and | :03:35. | :03:38.
bring the fans another way to experience a game, it continues to | :03:39. | :03:44.
grow. We frankly marvel at it. We go back and try and figure out what | :03:45. | :03:47.
else we can do that would be exciting. Playing our first game at | :03:48. | :03:52.
Twickenham a couple of weeks ago. These are all learning moments for | :03:53. | :03:56.
us. We take that and figure out what is next. I expect we will see more | :03:57. | :04:04.
games here. Terrific stuff. We appreciate you dropping by. We are | :04:05. | :04:08.
coming up to a break, so you have to stay with us. You couldn't make this | :04:09. | :04:13.
up. Talking about how the NFL... It is part of the unscripted bit. We | :04:14. | :04:18.
have a commission... We're going to keep you here. Make sure he's stuck | :04:19. | :04:24.
to that chair. In terms of a franchise verses regular games, | :04:25. | :04:27.
there is a division in terms of the fanbase. Most want to see the NFL | :04:28. | :04:32.
close up and personal. Are you looking to try things out, play | :04:33. | :04:37.
things and work out what would be a sensible plan moving forward? Well, | :04:38. | :04:40.
yes. I don't know if we know the answer yet. What we want to do is | :04:41. | :04:44.
keep trying different alternatives and see the reactions to them. As we | :04:45. | :04:50.
say, we are also working towards the NFL population, which is our 32 | :04:51. | :04:54.
clubs and trying to convince them there is a real opportunity here for | :04:55. | :04:58.
us. And I think they are. They all come back saying I would like to go | :04:59. | :05:01.
back again. That is a good problem to have, which we did not anticipate | :05:02. | :05:07.
ten years ago, frankly. We talked off air about the fanbase in the UK. | :05:08. | :05:12.
They are so literate with the amount of football they are being given. It | :05:13. | :05:18.
surprises us in the sheer numbers and the demographics, in the fact | :05:19. | :05:23.
they are young, there are families coming to the game. When I was at | :05:24. | :05:32.
the pregame festivities I was surprised at how many families were | :05:33. | :05:36.
coming to the football on a Sunday. Have you given thought to other | :05:37. | :05:40.
venues outside of London or Britain? We have. We have discussed it many | :05:41. | :05:46.
times before. We are looking to develop stadium alternatives in | :05:47. | :05:51.
London. We want to create a position of strength here, a foundation and | :05:52. | :05:56.
we can build from there. For us, it is about really being successful | :05:57. | :06:00.
here in London. And then we will continue to build the fanbase beyond | :06:01. | :06:06.
that. I was on the Tube heading out to the Arsenal soccer game and there | :06:07. | :06:10.
were a couple from Munich who recognised me and wanted to talk. | :06:11. | :06:15.
Instead of going to the States they came here to London. That is a | :06:16. | :06:20.
terrific opportunity. How are you for selfies? I do a lot of those. I | :06:21. | :06:25.
can't do them myself, though. You will probably have to do a few more, | :06:26. | :06:30.
as there are 80,000 in the stadium. It is always great to be with my | :06:31. | :06:32.
hero here. Tom Tom It is interesting to Spanola | :06:33. | :06:46.
now. He dials up against a young quarterback and with a seven-point | :06:47. | :06:51.
lead. Found it humorous when he talked about, it doesn't mean | :06:52. | :06:58.
anything to me, the St Louis Rams then. | :06:59. | :07:04.
Keen keep, 2nd 10. Finally powered Biharry son. The flag has been | :07:05. | :07:20.
thrown at the 14. They will call holding on the Rams and very poor | :07:21. | :07:24.
holding at. That 13 as it stands now. | :07:25. | :07:28.
Back to the 10. Holding offense, number 73. That | :07:29. | :07:32.
penalty is declined. Result of the play. | :07:33. | :07:38.
Robinson struggling. Here is Snacks right here. The greatest nickname. | :07:39. | :07:49.
350 lbs. Keenum seems to have a knack for running into sacks. There | :07:50. | :07:55.
was holding. Called on the play regardless, but a good job by | :07:56. | :08:01.
Snacks, picking up the sack. 3rd 22. | :08:02. | :08:09.
They find Britt. Hit by Andrew Adams, but somehow Keenum gets it to | :08:10. | :08:14.
go and he had room to move inside. When he catches the ball he's short | :08:15. | :08:19.
of the 1st down. He knows that. Immediately heads straight up the | :08:20. | :08:25.
field. Gets inside to pick up 1st down. Huge play. Something they | :08:26. | :08:39.
needed to jump start this in the this half. | :08:40. | :08:44.
Dropped by Kendricks. Coverage by Collins. | :08:45. | :08:49.
He gets such great momentum from Britt, picking up the 1st down and | :08:50. | :08:56.
then the whole momentum and air goes out of his huddle by that drop pass, | :08:57. | :09:01.
by Kendricks. Pushed right there. | :09:02. | :09:21.
May have been grabbed on a gain of six it was. The 42 of the Rams. | :09:22. | :09:28.
And that will bring up another 3rd down. Rams have been very successful | :09:29. | :09:34.
today. And their conversions on 3rd down. 3rd down. | :09:35. | :09:41.
Keenum, Austin... Diving for the 1st down. Good effort by Austin, out to | :09:42. | :10:12.
the 47. A 1st down for the Los Angeles Rams. This could have been a | :10:13. | :10:17.
pick here by Kendricks, right there. There's that effort you talked | :10:18. | :10:21.
about. Austin is only at five foot eight. He got real low on that time. | :10:22. | :10:27.
A big play by Tavon Austin. 1st 10. | :10:28. | :10:42.
Gurley, saw the flags. Devon Kennard at the 49-yard of the | :10:43. | :10:48.
Giants. After a gain of about three. This one will come back. Sure will. | :10:49. | :10:55.
Cruz has been busy today. Rams, as we said, one of the most heavily | :10:56. | :11:00.
penalised teams. Fouls by both teams on the play. | :11:01. | :11:06.
Holding offense, number 73. Holding, defense, number 96. | :11:07. | :11:13.
Fouls offset. Play 1st down. I guess we shouldn't have questioned | :11:14. | :11:17.
whether the Ram lazy be ready to play and they came out with a 10-0 | :11:18. | :11:22.
lead. They move from St Louis to southern California. They practiced | :11:23. | :11:30.
and the training camp t UC Ervine. All they have had is move after | :11:31. | :11:36.
move. Driving in LA. Not a lot of fun! | :11:37. | :11:40.
No! A bit like London traffic. . Good | :11:41. | :11:43.
morning Los Angeles... Holding on for dear life is Eli | :11:44. | :11:51.
Apple. He drags him down. And that is eight catches now for | :11:52. | :12:03.
Austin. Showing his versatility in space. | :12:04. | :12:11.
We have seen this Rams team gamble a bit over the past couple of weeks. | :12:12. | :12:19.
4th in about a foot. Ending up needed three. The field | :12:20. | :12:21.
goal. In their territory now. End up going to Gurley. Wrapped up | :12:22. | :12:27.
Bihar har. Biharry son. These offenses today have been in | :12:28. | :12:53.
one word - offensive. Yes! Right. | :12:54. | :12:56.
3rd 3. They go to Austin. Got the 1st down. | :12:57. | :13:18.
Nice play, Robinson brings him down. They move the chain. That was a fine | :13:19. | :13:31.
tackle by Robinson. They have been focussing on getting Tavon Austin | :13:32. | :13:33.
more involved here in the second half. Especially in this drive. He's | :13:34. | :13:40.
paid off turning it into a 1st down. Austin has nine catches, 52 yards, a | :13:41. | :13:45.
couple of runs as well. Gurley is back in. His 1st 10. | :13:46. | :13:52.
. Going deep and he's got quick. | :13:53. | :13:57.
This time the jump and the coverage by Apple. This time the jump and | :13:58. | :14:03.
really miss timed his jump on the play as well. | :14:04. | :14:10.
The add justment to the -- adjustment to the ball wasn't there. | :14:11. | :14:17.
Quick had position on Apple. The ball was thrown out in front. | :14:18. | :14:23.
The wind has noticeably picked up here in this forth quarter. The Rams | :14:24. | :14:37.
are going into the wind. Intercepted. A pick in the end zone. | :14:38. | :14:46.
Back to the 20. And a flag has been thrown. All | :14:47. | :14:51.
indications are it is against the Rams. | :14:52. | :14:56.
Holding offense. Number 73. Penalty is the cry. Interception by | :14:57. | :15:02.
New York. The Giants with an end zone | :15:03. | :15:09.
interception right here. By Collins, another interception, which sets | :15:10. | :15:11.
down a touchdown. It is funny who you meet by the | :15:12. | :15:20.
field. Adam Richmond. I know you have been up there with your other | :15:21. | :15:25.
heroes, the Spurs players. To be here it is incredible. It is | :15:26. | :15:29.
amazing. We always hear in the States that you guys hate our | :15:30. | :15:35.
football and we hate and you hate the fact we call it soccer. | :15:36. | :15:41.
To see Twickenham. The whole of British rugby. There are people with | :15:42. | :15:45.
Dolphins' Jerseys right there. It is awesome. As a die-hard Tottenham | :15:46. | :15:57.
support it breaks my game that opt Oxlaaide lain is such -chamber a | :15:58. | :16:01.
nice guy. And how is Harry Kane? He predicted | :16:02. | :16:14.
the Super Bowl, he has dogs named Wilson and Brady, he is an expert. | :16:15. | :16:19.
And he wants to go and play in the NFL. A while yet with Spurs. We need | :16:20. | :16:27.
you in the final third, if the match against Bournemouth didn't show you | :16:28. | :16:31.
I'm here to tell you. It will be heaven for you when NFL comes to | :16:32. | :16:34.
White Hart Lane? G-Mac it is remarkable and something with these | :16:35. | :16:40.
events here, singing the Cockrell next to the NFL, I was part of the | :16:41. | :16:43.
superkids pro club, it was one of the early fan societies, I have my | :16:44. | :16:52.
lilywhite one Hotspur membership and when the Dolphins play at White Hart | :16:53. | :16:55.
Lane I will be there falling into my grave ready to die. Adam, thank you. | :16:56. | :17:04.
Thank you, go Dolphins! COMMENTATOR: Case Keenum struggling today. The | :17:05. | :17:14.
last two picks have been strictly off him. Poor decisions. Jennings | :17:15. | :17:23.
picks up two. Rodgers-Cromartie has 25 career interceptions now after | :17:24. | :17:27.
that one. As you watch him on this play he is reading this ball. He | :17:28. | :17:35.
have a pass interference against Baltimore last week. Questionable | :17:36. | :17:39.
call. Comes back with the end zone interception today. Harris in the | :17:40. | :17:46.
slot. Leaving the game injured late in the first half. Jennings again. | :17:47. | :17:54.
Block in there. They tried to carve out a couple again. Ogletree stops. | :17:55. | :18:02.
Watch as Rodgers-Cromartie cuts in front of Austin. He was watching | :18:03. | :18:06.
that ball the whole way. Waiting for it to come down. As the Rams call | :18:07. | :18:14.
their first timer. How will they use the Time else? With 3:10 left they | :18:15. | :18:18.
have to use them especially with third-down coming up and the Giants | :18:19. | :18:23.
really struggling to convert their third downs today. The Giants will | :18:24. | :18:33.
stay with the ball and the Rams down a tie now. Ben McAdoo. Taking place | :18:34. | :18:40.
from someone -- taking the place of someone like Tom Coughlin amazing | :18:41. | :18:45.
regardless of the reason record. Tremendous career as a head coach in | :18:46. | :18:54.
the NFL. Not just with the Giants. Perkins in. Manning. Was it scooped | :18:55. | :19:05.
in by Odell Beckham? No, they say it was on the grass. Incomplete. He has | :19:06. | :19:15.
got his man beaten. Good call by the officials. They ruled on this | :19:16. | :19:23.
immediately and for good reason. That incompletion stops the club. | :19:24. | :19:28.
The Rams should get good field position again but can they do | :19:29. | :19:33.
anything with it. Brad Wing with wind at his back. Good long snap. | :19:34. | :19:47.
Clicking it away from Tavon Austin. 25-yard line. Couple of time-outs, | :19:48. | :19:54.
down by seven, the Rams get it. Lots of you getting in touch on social | :19:55. | :20:01.
media, Justin asking, my annual NFL jersey counts at half-time and then | :20:02. | :20:04.
it is missing, the Browns and the Bills. Work on that, fans. Where do | :20:05. | :20:10.
you stand on that, seeing jerseys from the different teams at one | :20:11. | :20:14.
match? I like it because you would never see that at the states. Going | :20:15. | :20:18.
out there and seeing everything represented it is really cool as a | :20:19. | :20:27.
player. Software it seemed like a Super Bowl atmosphere. A lot of | :20:28. | :20:31.
Giants and Rams fans that some of these people are just football fans | :20:32. | :20:34.
and they want to see an American football game being played. When I | :20:35. | :20:40.
was a kid and I can remember watching my first NFL championship | :20:41. | :20:43.
game on TV, with my grandfather and uncle and if they had wearing a | :20:44. | :20:46.
players jersey they would have wondered what planet therefrom, and | :20:47. | :20:51.
I still have this belief you are not allowed to wear the jersey with a | :20:52. | :20:54.
player younger than you are. Fair point. I could just about have JPP. | :20:55. | :21:05.
When did that start changing? 25 years ago. Sometime in the 80s. I | :21:06. | :21:11.
can remember doing that match before the Giants came in 2007 when you | :21:12. | :21:17.
were both playing and there was somebody with a carpenter jersey | :21:18. | :21:23.
sitting in front of our position and I said that was old school. He was | :21:24. | :21:28.
only ten years out of the league. Great one from Stewart, do you think | :21:29. | :21:35.
Eli has another Super Bowl in him? He has at least five or six more | :21:36. | :21:41.
years of quality footballer. One of those five years he will have a | :21:42. | :21:49.
chance. Lets see if London will be as lucky for him this year as it was | :21:50. | :21:58.
in 2007. COMMENTATOR: Case Keenum, first and ten. | :21:59. | :22:04.
Underneath the goes. And it is to the 36. Grout by the tight end, | :22:05. | :22:18.
Kendricks, tackled by Casillas. 11 yards. | :22:19. | :22:28.
Case Keenum, first and ten. Incomplete. We haven't talked about | :22:29. | :22:43.
him much tonight, Romeo Okwara. Keenum running out of the pocket, | :22:44. | :22:49.
speed really surprised them. I think he thought he had more time than he | :22:50. | :22:54.
had. The pressure on him to get rid of that ball. They have not scored | :22:55. | :23:01.
their last ten consecutive possessions. | :23:02. | :23:10.
The Giants in the nickel, purely an outside. Keenan Robinson trying to | :23:11. | :23:21.
real women. The completion takes them to the 41. That is a heck of a | :23:22. | :23:30.
catch, Robinson around his ankles. It bobbled four times. | :23:31. | :23:38.
Out of reach of brine quick with Rodgers-Cromartie watching. They | :23:39. | :23:44.
will have to go for it on 4th down with just two time-outs. Another | :23:45. | :23:49.
poor throw by Keenum. I'm not sure with a catch that would have been | :23:50. | :23:54.
good enough for 1st down. Momentum would have carried him out of | :23:55. | :23:55.
bounds. You have to look for Tavon Austin. | :23:56. | :24:06.
He has been their most productive receiver. In the nickel, secondary, | :24:07. | :24:14.
and it looked like Rob Havenstein jump. ., offense number 79, 5-yard | :24:15. | :24:22.
penalty. You can tell the Giants fans are making some noise. Rob | :24:23. | :24:31.
Havenstein way offsides. Staring right at Jason Pierre-Paul of | :24:32. | :24:35.
course. And Olivier Vernon, he has had a tough time dealing with them. | :24:36. | :24:40.
They are going back and forth and man, that is a terrific pair that | :24:41. | :24:45.
Spagnuolo can handle. His secondary has picked off three and all have | :24:46. | :24:52.
been important today. The Giants do have three sacks today. They only | :24:53. | :24:56.
have six in the previous six games. STUDIO: This is the second | :24:57. | :25:21.
international series game this season, the third one at Wenbo | :25:22. | :25:28.
Stadium next weekend. On air PM, the clocks go back remember. Redskins | :25:29. | :25:31.
against Bengals. Initially the lead for the Rams, by | :25:32. | :25:57.
ten points. Two minutes left. Coming in, bad snap by the center. Caught. | :25:58. | :26:04.
Quick staggering for the 1st down. STUDIO: Lots of you getting in | :26:05. | :26:19.
touch, lots of you suggesting it might be time to give Zhirkov try. | :26:20. | :26:25.
The Rams rookie quarterback. Number one overall pick in the college | :26:26. | :26:35.
draft. As we said at the top of the show, many people thought he would | :26:36. | :26:38.
be NFL ready. We haven't seen him yet. This would been a hell of a | :26:39. | :26:44.
game to throw him into. Pramac it is too you have to go with the guy who | :26:45. | :26:48.
has been running the offense but if you start playing well they might | :26:49. | :26:53.
change. If he does not turn this around we could see him sooner | :26:54. | :26:59.
rather than later. You do not want to put a rookie who hasn't played | :27:00. | :27:03.
all season into a game necessarily. The Giants coming at you the way | :27:04. | :27:07.
they are. That is a bad situation to go into it. And a real test for a | :27:08. | :27:11.
quarterback who hasn't played a single down. Case Keenum has | :27:12. | :27:19.
struggled today. How long will it be before they bring Jarrod Coffin. Or | :27:20. | :27:22.
do they just want to leave him on the bench learning. Quite frankly he | :27:23. | :27:26.
has played well this season. Jarrod Goff I think what the Rams like to | :27:27. | :27:33.
do is they like Lester said. They let Aaron Donald said. I think he | :27:34. | :27:41.
will be a much better quote reference. You get someone in there | :27:42. | :27:53.
and if you draft him how he has to play. Not everybody has a good | :27:54. | :27:57.
situation. You see more of it now the bonuses and contracts are more | :27:58. | :28:04.
control. For the rookies. If you pay him 50 million -- $15 million a year | :28:05. | :28:12.
you have to put him in sooner or later. Like with Stafford. Having | :28:13. | :28:15.
said that new territory for LA, Newmarket. It is an interesting | :28:16. | :28:21.
thing if you believe in the showbiz because this is not a showbiz team. | :28:22. | :28:29.
Not at the moment! COMMENTATOR: The Giants have had bead on him. Losing | :28:30. | :28:51.
his balance. Coming in. Fearful. On the money to Quick. We talked about | :28:52. | :28:58.
a couple of poor throws Keenum has had in the second half. Last two | :28:59. | :29:02.
throws under pressure but absolutely spectacular. | :29:03. | :29:15.
In front of Adams, behind the corner, great thread. Back-to-back | :29:16. | :29:17.
for Case Keenum. Moves up well. Incomplete for Brit. | :29:18. | :29:39.
I think he had this ball in his hands. Andrew Adams covering in the | :29:40. | :29:45.
secondary along with Rodgers-Cromartie. Rodgers-Cromartie | :29:46. | :29:49.
will come here, he times it perfectly and knocks it out of his | :29:50. | :29:50.
hands. And the top of the screen he checks | :29:51. | :30:04.
in, the rookies six round pick. 2nd in, the rookies six round pick. 2nd | :30:05. | :30:15.
10, Kendricks the tight end brought down by Leon Hall. Good | :30:16. | :30:22.
pressure again this time, Olivier Vernon. Forcing Keenum to throw that | :30:23. | :30:27.
one quickly. Cunningham, back to the 1st. Brought | :30:28. | :30:41.
down. One time out Rams. | :30:42. | :31:00.
1st 10 and incomplete. Looking for receiver Bradley Marquez. Coverage | :31:01. | :31:08.
on the playle. I don't think Marquez was expecting | :31:09. | :31:10.
this pass. Appears to be winded. | :31:11. | :31:19.
You can see the contact down the field that the Giants get away with. | :31:20. | :31:38.
Britt still on the sidelines after that long pass a couple of plays | :31:39. | :31:51.
ago. So, we're seeing Michael Thomas, who was without a catch this | :31:52. | :31:56.
season and Bradley Marquez, who has only two, and they were the targets | :31:57. | :31:59.
on the last two pass plays. Britt is in, with Austin, Marquez, | :32:00. | :32:17.
the tight end and Quick. Time out, New York. | :32:18. | :32:23.
First charge time out New York. Obviously winded the defensive line | :32:24. | :32:56.
and the second. We saw clem troubles. Rams have struggled in the | :32:57. | :33:01.
red zone this year. That is where they find themselves now, with the | :33:02. | :33:08.
3rd 106789 one time out. 50 seconds in the fourth. | :33:09. | :33:15.
Britt to the top of your screen, Quick to the bottom. | :33:16. | :33:32.
It's clem Interception. That may have slammed the door. Keenum has | :33:33. | :33:42.
thrown his fourth hit today. Total communication. You saw a signal | :33:43. | :33:51.
given to Quick. The ball is thrown to the one-on-one coverage. Quick | :33:52. | :34:04.
decides not to run the fly Pat it is he could have called for a quick | :34:05. | :34:09.
catch on this ball. And again the Rams struggling in the red zone that | :34:10. | :34:17.
time. And the defense with terrific plays | :34:18. | :34:30.
from the secondary and the Rams will let the clock tick and not call a | :34:31. | :34:38.
time out. We have one left. The last three possessions for the Rams. | :34:39. | :34:46.
Three New York Giants interceptions. For a team which had two. How about | :34:47. | :34:55.
the Rams? They have lost three straight after winning three | :34:56. | :34:59.
straight. And the Giants have won their second | :35:00. | :35:09.
consecutive. We can go to 4 3 with the defense playing huge dividends | :35:10. | :35:10.
today. That is what we love about the NFL, | :35:11. | :35:19.
a game can go a lot of different ways, but somehow it can end up | :35:20. | :35:23.
being incredibly close at the end. It was a fantastic finish. Almost | :35:24. | :35:31.
feel sorry for Keenum with the throw. He did a couple of things | :35:32. | :35:35.
well to get them into that position. Looked like a lack of communication. | :35:36. | :35:41.
Saw serve row coverage and the blitz on the same -- zero coverage and the | :35:42. | :35:45.
blitz on the same page. He has not lived up to the hype. He only has | :35:46. | :35:51.
one route, which is vertical. The intermediate routes he does not seem | :35:52. | :35:55.
tight on. A tough day at the office for Case Keenum. Let's look at the | :35:56. | :36:00.
stats. Keenum ending the game with that pick. | :36:01. | :36:05.
Four turnovers for the Rams. That is the tail of the game. 17-10, the | :36:06. | :36:10.
final. Passing odds nothing much having for Eli Manning and the | :36:11. | :36:18.
Giants. 233 total yards, yet the turnovers were instrumental. Why the | :36:19. | :36:23.
Giants ended up winning that. It started with a turnover on the | :36:24. | :36:25.
Giants' side. We have looked at this one before. | :36:26. | :36:34.
You see Tavon Austin coming across. When the tight end comes underneath | :36:35. | :36:39.
him, the linebacker is up. It was the interception. | :36:40. | :36:43.
Definitely. Definitely the interception made. You know you | :36:44. | :36:47.
cannot turn the ball over and you cannot turn it over in a red zone. | :36:48. | :36:52.
That is what was crucial. A horrendous start for the New York | :36:53. | :36:57.
Giants. Great start for the Rams, early doors, given their offense has | :36:58. | :37:01.
been spluttering allot. Against the Lions they started to get things in | :37:02. | :37:06.
the group. We thought we would see more of the same, but it was not to | :37:07. | :37:10.
be. And you look at the Giants prior to this game, 14 points from | :37:11. | :37:14.
turnovers n this one ten points from turnovers in their previous six | :37:15. | :37:25.
games. You know The coach, you saw what happened today. Came out here | :37:26. | :37:34.
to London, got their mo Joe back. They claim back the defense the way | :37:35. | :37:39.
they are supposed to be. And you played under Spags for a long time. | :37:40. | :37:46.
It is difficult to go back and recreate your form of glory. Tried | :37:47. | :37:54.
to recreate that by bringing in Snacks. They played the way they | :37:55. | :38:00.
were supposed to be. Collins was a significant player. What a great day | :38:01. | :38:02.
for him. They were playing him a lot deep. | :38:03. | :38:12.
And only giving him half the field. And there came the ball. They did | :38:13. | :38:16.
not attack him much one on one. When the ball is in the air he came to | :38:17. | :38:22.
it. Put your guy to a position where he can play plays. He's looking like | :38:23. | :38:26.
Sir Collins today. That one, that di agram of the | :38:27. | :38:30.
dotted lines look the one they gave me when they told me how to get to | :38:31. | :38:36.
Twickenham from the station. A significant pick for him. Two big | :38:37. | :38:41.
turnovers for him in particularly one of the strongest performances on | :38:42. | :38:47.
this Giants' defense. And I am delighted to say that Collins is | :38:48. | :38:49.
pitchside chatting to Caroline now. He's had to run off. Can we go live | :38:50. | :38:58.
to Eli Manning. Sorry to interrupt. I know you are having a photo. If | :38:59. | :39:02.
you can wait with us. He's having a chat with the coach and then | :39:03. | :39:06.
hopefully. This is live TV at its best. Back to you and then I will | :39:07. | :39:12.
shout, I'll shout... I like how she has the New York | :39:13. | :39:20.
Giants part of her scarf there. A difficult game for him. What do | :39:21. | :39:24.
you make of his performance? It has been a difficult day for the offense | :39:25. | :39:28.
in General. You have to give credit to the defense, they blanketed those | :39:29. | :39:32.
receivers, stuffed the run. Got pressure, not so much as anticipated | :39:33. | :39:37.
on Eli. You have to give it to the Rams' defense. It makes everybody | :39:38. | :39:43.
look good and the Giants could not run the ball. The only good run was | :39:44. | :39:48.
for the touchdown when they did... So they took short stuff the whole | :39:49. | :39:51.
game. They did not turn it over. That is the important thing. | :39:52. | :39:57.
Let's look at the touchdown. This was the pick. The turnover that set | :39:58. | :40:04.
it up and as we said, the New York Giants, a big day for Collins and it | :40:05. | :40:10.
was Rashad Jennings running it in. We saw the with the stats, the | :40:11. | :40:14.
yardage, at no point could they get the running game going. In the red | :40:15. | :40:18.
zone he punches it in and it is crucial. It is hard to score because | :40:19. | :40:23.
you have limited space. When you can run the ball successfully in | :40:24. | :40:27.
there... You saw how spread out they were in the line. St Louis is | :40:28. | :40:32.
thinking there's no way they will run the ball on us in this | :40:33. | :40:35.
situation. It was the best thing they could do. You saw the lift they | :40:36. | :40:41.
had there. You guys jumped up. I think all line play is like that. | :40:42. | :40:47.
Defensive line. For an offensive line when you push that line off, | :40:48. | :40:48.
that is what you want. I don't know what to say. Everybody | :40:49. | :41:03.
is exhausted. How exhausted were you on the pick six that changed this | :41:04. | :41:07.
game even in the first half? Exhausted. Got heavy. I had to get | :41:08. | :41:16.
back on the field and do my thing. How many yards do you think you | :41:17. | :41:19.
covered sideline to sideline when you picked the ball? I went from | :41:20. | :41:23.
this way back to over there. Got to be about 100 yards. Do you want to | :41:24. | :41:30.
know how many? 84. Take us through the play. | :41:31. | :41:41.
I think it was, I got two men, two deep and using my eyes, missed the | :41:42. | :41:48.
ball and then when I caught the ball, looked down field. When I | :41:49. | :41:52.
looked down field I saw a lot of dark blue. All my white was to the | :41:53. | :41:55.
left. So I went back to the left and ran down from there. You guys came | :41:56. | :42:00.
into this league, last with take aways, you come away with four | :42:01. | :42:04.
picks. Where is this defense? How good can it be? It can be great. | :42:05. | :42:08.
That is our expectations. We try and get to the top ten. That is what | :42:09. | :42:13.
we're looking for. Get some rest, my friend. Will do. He will cherish | :42:14. | :42:19.
that touchdown. It is winning and winning with your defense. That is | :42:20. | :42:22.
the key. I love the way he analysed that. That play he analysed | :42:23. | :42:28.
brilliantly. A big day for him. And this guy has been the best play on | :42:29. | :42:33.
their defense all season. Outside of Rashad Jennings, played well today. | :42:34. | :42:39.
Came up big for the Giants. The Giants in a decent position. Decent | :42:40. | :42:42.
position and they have got momentum winning here. We have a feast of NFL | :42:43. | :42:47.
action coming up in the next seven days. | :42:48. | :42:52.
It is here on Tuesday with all the action of this week's game. | :42:53. | :42:59.
Friday is the NFL Show. The weekend games will be previewed. And then | :43:00. | :43:05.
Washington verses Cincinnati. Many thanks indeed to Jason OC and | :43:06. | :43:19.
Mike. Congratulations to the New York Giants A big win for them. Tune | :43:20. | :43:25.
in next week for the Redskins and the Bengals live at Wembley Stadium. | :43:26. | :43:26.
Goodbye for now. See you then. | :43:27. | :43:35. |
