The big question, what impact will that defeat have on England going

forward? Stuart Lancaster has picked a young squad for this tour. They've

won two warm-up games against the Barbarans. Today will be a step up

again. England lost on their last visit to Salta four years ago.

Here's the team. Four remain from that night at the Millennium Stadium

week about learning lessons tonight, especially after that defeat against

Wales. A very, very tough test against the Pumas tonight. Joining

us this evening three men with different emotions from that night

at the Millennium Stadium. Jonathan Davies, Sir Clive good ward and Alex

-- wood ward and Alex. Some of English rugby's most exciting young

talent on display tonight. How excited are you about the side

Stuart's gone for? Very excited, I am still having sleepless nights

about Cardiff, so Heaven knows what the players are having! The thing is

with sport, you are only as good as your last game and England got badly

beaten in Cardiff. They've to accept that. This is a big game. It's more

than a young team, because of the Lions situation. In Wade, Burns,

these are genuine first-choice players and they have a chance now

and you have to take it. A lot of us are saying about the balance of the

back row, that was really exposing Cardiff. There is a lot to learn

tonight. It's a big game for Lancaster. You can lose one game but

can't go to Argentina against this Argentina and really get beat. A lot

of pressure tonight. But very good team, excited about what we are

about to see. Alex, unfortunately, you are with us tonight as opposed

to being in Salta. Shoulder operation. Yeah, the shoulder is

going well. I had the operation two weeks ago. So far things are

progressing well. Pretty happy with that. Looking forward to a few guys

who played well this year, especially Wade and Freddie deserves

his chance. Hopefully he can show that he is run again. That's what

the summer tours are about, Jonathan. It's about unearthing the

next generation of talent. This is a tough, tough test to any test match

in Argentina. Argentina's a very tough place to go. You are out of

your comfort zone. Totally different environment. They're very tough up

front. They try and lay the platform and have a good kicking game and

they've improved a lot since that inclusion in the southern hemisphere

competition. It's a very, very tough place to go. As the lads have said,

it's a very exciting English side. You forget Cardiff now, it happened.

Just forget about it. And move on to the future. I am looking forward to

Freddie Burns playing. He is a very talented player. It's an opportunity

to see if he can run the game from the start. Really exciting English

side One of the big concerns for England is where are leaders?

not a concern. You have to find out. I think history will show Burns will

put a lot of pressure on now in terms of Toby Flood and Farrell.

Leaders have to come from nine, ten position. They'll be looking to

Burns. Can he run a team? Every time I have seen him, saw him against

Leicester, he had an outstanding game. He has the talent. It's a

difference - especially away from home. The leadership is there. These

guys all played in the top sides. It's not just the back line, you are

looking for leadership in the scrum. Lawes is not starting tonight.

Mike Brown, Alex, Ben Fodel coming back. Twelvetrees is there, he has

an opportunity. We vice-president seen much of Jonathan Joe -- haven't

seen much of Jonathan Joseph. If you play well on this tour you are in a

strong position. The autumn tests come along, if you haven't much to

go on, so if they play well they push themselves forward and to the

autumn tests. We are going to turn our attention to the British and

Irish Lions. Today they played their latest warm-up match against the

Queensland Reds. This was a much match the queens Lordshiped Reds

admitted they -- Queensland Reds admitted they tried to run rings

around the Lions. The Lions weathered the storm. They were

outscored by two tries to one but emerged as worthy victors. It was

difficult from the outset. I think a testament to the boys' character.

should be pleased about the character that we had in the second

half. We went back to basics, our set-piece, our defence. And the

character of the team and squad shone through. The match was brutal

and uncompromising. The players after were battered, bruised ap

exhausted. It's a victory they'll savour against a side stacked with

nine international players. The loss of Tommy Bowe and Gethin Jenkins

will hurt them. As Warren Gatland said that's the nature of touring

and they've to role with the punches and get on with things.

Extremely disappoint disappointing news to hear Tommy Bowe looks to be

on his way home. It's a massive blow, I thought Tommy played

exceptionally well today. He had a lot of injuries this year. He's

really fought his way back to get on the tour. He had a couple of games

to show his class and then - he took the ball in and broke a bone. It's a

terrible blow for the Lions but more so for Tommy because he has had a

tough season with injuries. It was a great result. They were certainly

shocked the first 15 minutes the way that the pace that Queensland

played. They were slow getting into the game. Once they got to grips

with it the set-piece looked very strong. George North put his hand

up. That will give them a great boost to the rest of the tour.

Before kick-off Jenkins is on his way home, as well. I know what you

coaches will say, it's part of sport, part of a tour. This happens.

But it's a devastating blow to lose players like that. Behind the scenes

he is right, Warren Gatland has to say the right things. It's part of

touring. They'll be really upset about that behind the scenes.

Jonathan said, Bowe especially was playing so well. He will be going

right, he is in, North is in and suddenly bang, that goes out the

window. Cuthbert had a good game as well. They've Cuthbert and North to

sit on the wings. They've cover for there. Injuries do affect you but

the Australians have injuries, as well so they've to take it in their

stride. They'll be pleased today. That was the first ten minutes they

were run off their feet, to come through strong and win the game

they'll be happy tonight, despite the injuries they've got. From an

English perspective which of the players you know well are pushing

for a test start? I thought Mac played well. Geoff and Tommy. It's

great for them. And another combination Ben Young and Owen

Farrell. A lot of people have been criticising Owen and he did well

today A quick word about what you said in the week. You were critical

about the way the Australian teams were treating this tour. You said

they were treating the Lions with contempt, what did you mean?

wasn't the Australian team. It was that first game. I mean, the Lions

go to Australiaer every -- Australia every 12 years. It's a big thing the

Lions coming. The fixture, and flying in players from Sydney to sit

on the bench, I still can't believe it to be honest. A disgrace.

Queensland were fantastic today, personally I would like to see - if

their test players played today they could have robbed the Lions out.

It's that first game, I am sure it will be a great tour. We are looking

forward to it. I am sure the rest of the fixtures will be fine. The

opening was a disgrace as Jonathan said. You are fly flying players in

to sit on the bench. A lot of people paid good money. It's totally wrong.

Someone has to hold their hands up. Let's bring you up to date with the

action from today. It's been a busy day of international Rugby Union.

Let's tell you what happened today. Scotland were beat beaten in South

Africa by Samoa. France pushed New Zealand in New Zealand before going

down by 23-13. South Africa who play Argentina in their first rugby

championship match in August beat Italy 44-10. A young Wales team came

from behind at half-time to beat Japan. Special treat for you,

Jonathan, we have action from that First job done. Broadhurst is there.

First try. No one can argue. Japan deserve it. On the stroke of

unbelievable experience. The summer tours are fantastic for young

players. When people are injured, and you get a chance, you want to

make the most of it. England players have that chance this

weekend. It is a fantastic thing. It gives the coaches a chance to

look at the strength and depth and have competition for places. We are

approaching kick-off. The commentator tonight is Eddie Butler.

This is his take on rugby in South America.

Football, Argentina star. The sporting passion of a country ten

times the size of the UK. Other sport from Britain found a niche in

Argentina such as hockey, polo and cricket. Also rugby union. In high

society, the sports are cherished because they are not football.

These sports are right in the 19th century on trading ships. They were

carried inland by the work force that arrive to build the railroads.

Up and to the grasslands and down south, into Patagonia, where Welsh

is still spoken. The capital remains a heartland of the

Argentine rugby. It is the home of the team that played at Test level

for 20 years and once kicked 21 points in the Pumas draw for the

All Blacks in 1985. The big cat is the Jaguar on their shirt. But the

Pumas name stuck and that is what they call themselves. This is the

home of the barbecue, with the heaviest stakes in the world. This

is the land of the tango. There is nothing sexy about the way the

Pumas play. They are fed on giant steaks. The forwards are

uncompromising and volatile. From the moment they came to Wales and

almost beat the Grand Slam champions, they stood on a break

through. It came at the World Cup in France in 2007. The Pumas

finished third and of invitation was extended by the Australians,

South Africans, New Zealanders, to join them in the four nations in

the southern hemisphere. As always, the Pumas will have to be handled

with care. It will be a big test match tonight

for the young England side. We can hear more from Eddie Butler. He's

with the Argentine coach. Santiago, were you tempted to pick

your number one side for today? Every time we represent Argentina,

we choose the best players. We have some European players resting

because they are preparing for the Championship. This is a good team.

There are new players. They are doing their first games and there

are experienced players and so the mix is always good for the team. We

are happy about the selection. did you bring this game to Salta?

Is it because of the warm weather? That decision is about the union,

not about me. It is nice to come outside. People are kind when you

arrive. It is a nice place to play. It is England. For everybody in the

world, it is an important game. Are you looking at the one game all

will you change everything for the second Test? The first game is

important. It is the first week. A lot of players are in Europe. We

will work a lot this week. Next week we will have to be more

careful about the work we did and put the emphasis on what we need to

improve. We will not change everything. We will adjust. When

the play a team like England, it is a tough team who play well. It does

not matter for us if they are first-time players, because the

other players play well, they play in a competitive league and the

main goal for us is to put the work in the field like we do in the

rises. They added to it and drew with Australia. Full strength they

are a handful. 2007, they came third in the World Cup. Are you

coming out of retirement soon? too big now! You have taught there.

What is it like? -- been on tour there. Stuart Lancaster spoken lot

this week about the atmosphere and how England have to embrace the

atmosphere. I went as a player in 1981. I remember training on polo

pitches and finding amazing pictures with the quality of turf

that was fantastic. I also remember the crowds, jumping up and down

behind the stands. It is a great place, but it is tough. Every

player is wider and taller. It is a physical place. A great country to

go to. We can hear from Stuart Lancaster.

What is this tour for England in terms of development? Is it is

crucial in our evolution. We have a talented squad. Players who are in

form at the end of the Premiership season. I want to move on the game

plan. It is important. Have you had to temper the desires to move the

game faster with where you are? You are in Argentina? There is a

balance to how we play the game. We do not want to wonder what we could

have done. We want to make sure we have the chance to give Christian

Wade, David Strettle, a great passing midfield combination.

Freddie burns. You have to build this call. The atmosphere is going

to be hot -- Burns. There are a lot of young faces. The if you go

through the pack, Joe Launchbury is continuing his form. Matt Kvesic, a

great opportunity to have a chance after the open side. Billy Vunipola

coming off the bench. The back line, in its entirety, Lee Dickson likes

to play quite. Burns is playing well. They are good ball-players.

There could be five new caps. That is a step into the unknown. That is

what it feels like as a coach. It is exciting. You have played one

game. How confident are you after the game here and the game against

the Barbarians? Me the are in a good state. The Barbarians, they

copped for criticism on the back of that game. Nobody gave us credit

for a good performance. I thought we played well. The first game over

here was a challenge. It was different. An indication of what

will happen today. Hard on the breakdown and difficult to break

down. That is a marker for today. Thanks.

Christian Wade has scored 18 tries in 26 games for Wasps. Joe Marler

both making their first start. You have a reputation as being

creative. Have you had to learn how to manage a game? A little bit. The

when and where to give the passes, to try something creative, I have

worked with Gloucester and I am happy and hopefully I can bring it

to the game. It is a massive achievement to represent your

country. There has only been 1350, something like that, who have

represented their country since it started. To be in a group like that

is a massive privilege. And to play with some great guys. What was it

like being part of that special day against New Zealand? Words cannot

explain. It was so strange to get the opportunity. Your first cap at

Twickenham and to beat the All Blacks is what dreams are made of.

To get out there at Twickenham and kick penalties, it was memorable. I

hope I can build from there. What are your jobs? The first phase in

trying to secure quick ball. To let the outside backs have space to run

him. They will be lethal. Christie and showed it in the Premiership.

David Strettle has been here before. -- Christian Wade. Trying to

secured the ball. What do you expect from Argentina? It will be a

noisy atmosphere and physical contest. They have players such as

Contepomi who can do that. It will be a tough challenge and hopefully

we can play good rugby and have a good performance. Tell us about

Freddie. His talent is visible and on the pitch how dangerous he can

be. His game management is super. I am looking forward to playing

alongside him. Interesting. This week's Stuart Lancaster talked

about the breakdown. His Matt Kvesic the missing link? England

were going well until the game against Wales. You look at Robshaw,

you look at what is a traditional seven. You have to be careful. I

think he is traditional. He is a great player, very strong over the

ball. He is the first person who is similar to Neil Back. You have to

be careful. Until the Wales game, Robshaw was on the Lions tour. He

had been fantastic. It is how you play the game. Robshaw, off the

ground, his passing game is better. It is the balance. England had one

bad game against Wales that cost dear. I think he is a good player

but I think Robshaw is a good player. We are lucky. We have Tom

Wood as captain and together they are fantastic. Throughout the

autumn they were running around winning the break down and making

us wonderful in the back-row. quick is Christian Wade? You do not

let him have five minutes of space, let alone 15. We hope he can show

his pace. He has scored stunning tries. I cannot give him or higher

compliment than he reminds me of Martin Offiah. It is interesting.

You have Burns and Billy Twelvetrees. With the England side,

you have the defence, the captain, Manu Tuilagi. A great ball carrier.

They have a great back three. With Billy Twelvetrees, hopefully he and

Burns, we will see the ball going wider. David Strettle has had a big

attack Contepomi, 35 years old, you should be fine. The key thing is

can Freddy Burns and Billy Twelvetrees get the ball. Burns?

hope he has a good game. He is talented. It is about being out of

your comfort zone. We do not know this Argentine pack. If England can

get on top, I expect a lot of points. Otherwise, we will have to

Kvesic. Behind the scrum there is a willingness to feed the wings. Wade

this game. David Wilson is the most experienced prop and most

experienced forward out there. A huge game for him tonight. But also

concerned about the scrummaging. This is David Wilson against Pablo

Henn. Good drive by Argentina. Rock wind and that's why they're keeping

the ball in the happened. This is good defence from England.

Contepomi. Inside pass. Argentina have made zero yards. Very good low

tackles. Good talking as well, enabling the second map to get in

past the ball, slowing the ball down. Still Argentina keep the ball

really, really good defence. Sometimes you want to get yourself

into the game and you can do that through a great defensive effort.

That was shown there. Tackles being made in twos and threes which

enabled England to slow the ball down. In the end, Contepomi trying

on his boot yet. Away come England. Twelvetrees, half a gap. Contepomi

with the tackle. Strettle plays scrum-half. Can't pick it up.

Advantage being played. Argentina. Across comes Mike Brown. That's

great play from Mike Brown. To be able to kick from 22, relieving the

brick wall, finding a few yards. Great work with the second pass. If

you can make the second pass, there is space to play into. When England

had their first attack, unfortunately, as Billy Twelvetrees

ran through, but was no support. But there were could offloads. A

great tackle coming in, from everybody in the England team,

trying to hunt the tackles. There seems to be a threat from the

Argentina back three. Montero, he is a giant. I like the way the

crowd collapse when there is a scrum. England are lacking balance

knock-on. This will be an important scrum for England. They lacked the

balance in the last scrum and conceded a free kick. They are a

lot of tackles being made. What is pleasing to see, every time,

England completing their tackles. It is important they keep on doing

good control. Argentina will be penalised. Ben Morgan comes away

and beat well macro man. England have the penalty. I am disappointed

about that. Morgan was looking for the offload but the support players

were too far away. When somebody is in contact like that, it is

important support players get close. It was a great opportunity. They

will probably get three points here but potentially there was a try in

the offing in that play. But a very the offing in that play. But a very

good scrum. There is power way in and straight. It is tricky. He has

the wind with him. Distance is never a problem. That went sailing

England defence. Making good, low tackles. Dominating the set piece.

It is important when there are set- piece situations, it is important

needs players around him to get to him to secure that ball. The

turnover from Attwood, that's great skill and awareness of Morgan to

pick up Christian Wade and great work from Wade to be on the inside

shoulder. England recycled the ball very well here. From a turn yoef,

being able to move the -- turnover, being able to move the ball to

space. Joseph showing good footwork and presence of mind to get the

offload for Strettle to score. And Joe Launchbury. Hits the wall. Mike

Up and away into touch. It's come from an Argentina lineout on

England's 22. Launchbury going through. Argentina always good at

making low tackles and both the Argentina defenders did well there

ball. A change of focus again. Change the point of attack. Got

closer to the ruck. Mike Brown hangs on to the ball.

Twelvetrees. Runs from great lines. Turnover ball. Argentina come away

with it. Good tackle. Away comes Mike Brown with prop Joe Marler in

Morgan. Christian Wade. Great pass. Second try for England. It's Billy

Twelvetrees. Excellent build-up play. Clinical execution. England's

second try. That came from really good support work. The difference in

this game for England is their ability to get the offloads and

that's where Twelvetrees, Morgan, their link play has been very good.

When you have low tackles it frees you up to get offloads. The

forwards, it's good to see the front five making the passes. England with

more urgency to the tackle contest as they - Twelvetrees linking with

Morgan. Here this was the key, quick ball and close to the line. England

have isolated on a couple of occasions, which has created

turnovers. In this situation they got support to the ball and it was

very simple. What was noticeable is the isolated player stopped and

waited. Ben Morgan, Christian Wade, happy comfortable not to getting

isolated. That was very good. What's also been noticeable, the front five

have been passing. The guys are comfortable passing the ball which

is something that Mike has been working on to enable them to pass

the ball. It's paying dividends at that time. It didn't matter because

the pause created the finish for Billy Twelvetrees and it's a very

handsome 18 points to nil lead for England using the wing and getting

some territory but having a good and two wingers, they're work

working in position to stop the threat of kicks. Argentina throw

tries. If they had been decisive there they would have scored another

try. We haven't mentioned much of Tom Wood. I know, Andy, you rate him

as a latter day Richard Hill. does so much good work off the ball.

And getting to the tackle contest, he was having a quiet day, he

suddenly perked up. Rob Webber. Good pass. Burns to Joseph. Mike Brown

from fullback. Offlead to Strettle. Somehow Argentina have turned it

over. That urgency to get to the ball carrier close to the line, we

saw when England scored their try Joseph made a really good work to

get over the tackle. That's a poor Beats the tackle of Tiesi. Has to

cut back inside. Has to go backwards and links up with Freddie Burns.

Hits the deck. It falls to Mike Attwood.

Burns delays, waits for Twelvetrees, who gets a good pass to Wade. Wade

to Ben Morgan. England's third try scored by the number eight. You had

to feel at some stage Ben Morgan was going to score. Again what a

fantastic finish. Get your best finishes on the ball five metres

from the line. England have been doing that. They've had Twelvetrees

on the ball, Strettle and there you have Ben Morgan. That's a fantastic

finish from him. Two people trying to tackle him. Superb work. England

there were clinical. There was measure to their play. Players were

going to the line, giving the good offloads with people in space and

then a fantastic finish by Morgan. Before this game the entire England

team had scored two tries. In 32 minutes they've scored three.

now looking like a training ground run. It's gone absolutely perfectly

for England. Argentina's set-piece has gone to pot. They vice-president

been able to get any control -- haven't been able to get any control

in the game. And Burns is kicking very well. Argentina stuck on zero.

England moving ahead fast. Now on 25. For these young England

internationals, playing international, this is quite easy

you don't win your set-piece position, when it's under pressure,

it means you start force forcing - trying different types of kick as

happening there. Suddenly Argentina are going out of structure.

Morgan, returns the favour, gets the pass to Christian Wade. Good pick

up. Webber. Webber started well. He's thrown well. He's been a key

passer in some of England's moves. Huge, but he's dropped two. It's a

Ben Morgan. He's offered himself a kicking chase. The equally large

Looks like a long evening for Macome. He has had nothing to work

off. This time Argentina do get possession. But it's gone forward.

pressure. If they can get this - this scrum will be an important one

above sea level. It's dry. England seem to be coping very well with the

Joseph, Strettle, and an explosive start for England. They have set a

great platform. In disarray, the defence. Plenty of time. Joseph

steps and goes in and another offload. It is a good finish by

David Strettle. The scrum has been dominant. The line-out has been

dominant. The Argentine line-out has been poor and that is what they

based their game on. The offer made its, the support play and

distribution skills have been good for England. You have to look at

the score and think they have to kick on. They really put their foot

down because you expect England to have greater fitness. Although the

Argentine side are semi- professional, amateur, I expect

this to be a cricket score. Maybe not an Australian cricket score!

is fantastic to see them playing with fluency. The handling from

forwards and backs has been fantastic. It will please Stuart

Lancaster, the defence. Argentina haven't done much with the ball.

Good late -- late tackles have led to turnovers. What about Billy

Twelvetrees? Fluency. Unless you have someone who can play to --

played 10, and you can run so many things off him. I ran an England

team based on Jason Robinson and I think he is that good. You can get

your attacking play off him. I thought he played well in the Six

Nations and he was unlucky to be left out. He adds fluency. If you

are out wide, and you are Christian Wade and David Strettle, you would

like him because you know the ball is going to come. The forwards

passing is the difference. When you hit and move the ball one more, it

gives space and the speed of the ball comes through. England have

been great. The way they have played, I have not seen them play

it with this fluidity. We were discussing it. As backs, we would

love to play this sort of game. They are offloading. Billy

Twelvetrees has been superb, his decision-making has been good.

Everybody is chipping in. They seemed to enjoy themselves.

Look at the offloads. The balance of the forwards and making sure of

Argentines, the last thing they want is for Billy Vunipola,

Courtney Lawes to come on. You talk about offloads, it is so easy to go

to the floor and recycle. Billy Twelvetrees, Christian Wade, Joe

Launchbury. Morgan has been outstanding. To defend against it,

if someone goes on the floor you can defend. If somebody is

offloading, you are trying to play the whole game without hitting the

floor. To see the forwards doing that, Joe Launchbury, Ben Morgan,

it makes a massive difference. cannot handle the physical aspect

of the England game. The offloads are there because the forwards are

cutting the ball. They go in low, they are offloading. If you know

they will offload, as an outside back, you think you will run off

him because you know they cannot cope. If you said Monday inside

shoulder, I will take a short ball are few. -- if you said run up

inside. With a tired Argentina side, bacon cut them to pieces. You think

you are taking on the Argentine scrum and it will be dominant, but

England have smashed it. You would like to think whatever Argentina

are putting out, the scrum will go well. The game is over, when you

see this with an Argentine the scrum doing that, because normally

you of fighting, and they dominate. It is more than a training run to

Argentina, they are doing their best. When your scrum his battered,

you know you are in for a tough game. It is a great platform for

England. The Argentines always pride themselves on their defence.

We have not seen that yet. That is something they coach and fans will

be disappointed at. The history of Argentine rugby, and the Welsh team

who pride themselves, the Argentines pride themselves on the

scrum and to see that happening with a young England team, is

disappointing from an Argentine point of view. With a look in the

first ten minutes when they tried to run everything. Usually they

play a territorial game. They have a set piece and kick. Maybe they

should have kicked earlier to put the pressure on. They did not do

that. They spread the ball about and could not break the English

defence. He is thinking, maybe he will have to pick a stronger side

for the next Test. I do not know what Contepomi is thinking.

all had a bit of slapping and encouragement to each other as they

England's defence is so good. See what they're trying to do there,

set-piece is, being able to win your own possession is vitally important.

You have to be clinical about that. England have been very good at

winning their own set-piece, at the scrum and the lineout. Argentina

have been under real pressure at the lineout. It's put them under huge

pressure here now. This is a great put in at linout attack and the

scrummaging, being able to work out defensive plays as well, so

important. This is a real opportunity now for England. A

bearded Rob Webber. David Wilson, the oldest in the England pack at

England started with their first scrum in the first half, went early.

Really disappointing that after half-time it happens again. I have

been impressed by Webber. I think he's defended very strongly, been

physical but also his passing has will be England's throw. It was a

that. Argentina have pulled it back. And win the penalty. Not retreating.

The kick didn't go ten metres, players in front of the ball,

unfortunately, for them they had to get away from the ball. They're in

front of the kick. They had to get ten metres from it. They didn't.

who have livenged well together. Twelvetrees -- linked well together.

Twelvetrees creates space. I felt there at this stage that just that

accuracy, getting that ball away, that if Strettle could have come

under underneath Jonathan Joseph, he would have been able to score under

the post. A great defence by England, turning into attack.

England have scored three tries from turnovers. It shows you the mindset

in this team at the moment, to play from turnovers and they've played

very well. Change in the Argentine front row. Guillermo Roan is on in

quality of Joe Launchbury, his ability to square up through the

Argentinian front row and that's why the momentum has been coming after

Kyle Eastmond ready to come on. This is going to be really exciting. He

is a special player. Kyle Eastmond in the background there, wearing 22,

comes on. Jonathan Joseph comes off. Kyle Eastmond, once of St Helens,

out of Rugby League. Into the 15-man code. It's sort of ready-made for

somebody in the last quarter to show what they can do. England haven't

had a lot of ball. They've been giving penalties away. But also

bit at the moment. It's gone flat. Yeah. Partly because England have

not passed the ball. They've been kicking the ball away. Fransisco

Good first tackle from Eastmond. Great line speed from Lawes. England

win the penalty. That's exactly what you want to see from players coming

impetus to other players that have been on for the last 67 minutes.

That was a great hit. Also the work of the second, third player, getting

past the ball and being able to effect turnovers, impressive by

England. Another clutch of replacements. 21 for Argentina goes

on, Nicolas Vergallo, off goes scrum half Martin Landajo. 67 memberships

gone. Not long left -- minutes gone. Not long left. Coming into the frame

soon is the impressive figure of Billy Vunipola. It's another new cap

for England It's the ever so Morgan and Rob Webber. They've had

because they got in front and obstructing the lineout. I hope

England can raise the pace in this next ten minutes. It's important for

them. Argentina will be looking at this second game and targeting that.

If England can finish strongly now they'll put doubt in Argentina next

week. Joe Marler. Combative. Here, at last, the big men running at the

Contepomi rides the challenge. Goes down. Argentina have another

penalty. Is this going to be a card? Lawes has not rolled away there.

Argentina really have go forward, having won a line-out. Unfortunate

there is going to be a yellow card here. The referee had warned him.

worked perfectly for Strettle there. I think the line-out was straight

but Argentina went across the line that created the illusion it wasn't

straight. Poor discipline by the Argentinian jumpers in that phase.

One last change to be made. Tomas De La Vega comes on. I hope we see

England move the ball here. Kyle Eastmond in that back line,

Christian Wade, great to see them Marler. David Wilson. Calm down.

Twice I have spoken to you. Dave Wilson's had a good tussle in the

front row. He's been playing very well. Interesting change being made

with Doran Jones coming in. Well played David Wilson, has had a very

good game tonight. This is Billy Twelvetrees, who's playing flank

flanker. Why is that then? Well, with the sin-bin that occurred.

For the first time for a long time, a little bit of urge yensy in

big moment for me, emotional about this one, I saw Henry Thomas as a

six-year-old, start his playing career and now he's come on. A

little bit more mobility and skills. Paul Doran Jones, David Paice and

Henry Thomas winning his first cap. The new England front row. The first

scrum to go down. It's been a good contest, but we have got the

replacements on and suddenly the to put some urgency in. That's a

Ben Foden? It will be a scrummage. It was great tracking work. And

really good. Unfortunately, the support players were not there

quick enough. If they anticipated what he was trying to do, they

would have scored. Great communication, they just needed

somebody running of him and a try would have occurred. Christian

Wade... No, he is all right. He received some attention, a lot of

with Contepomi at 10. England's defence has been solid. They have

not been able to get that much momentum against them. Argentina

will be disappointed with the amount of possession they had this

half that they have not been able to score a try. That is the work of

the two men into the tackle. And the quality of the work has been

It is fantastic for the family they have achieved what they have

Courtney Lawes. I hope they go for a set play. Just to finish off

their performance. The first half the end of the game. It was never

in doubt. Argentina had possession, but they did not threaten to score.

England had the game sewn up. There goes the hooter. We will have the

time, having lost in 2009. So good in the first half, frustrating in

the second half. That sums it up. Nobody would have predicted that

scoreline in the second half. I think the game was won at half-time.

The mistakes in the second half, not what we saw in the first half.

The positives away the down side, but the second half was poor from

England because of the amount of the stakes. Jonathan, what

the stakes. Jonathan, what happened? A lot of mistakes. They

have an opportunity. This is a great piece of play. Billy

Twelvetrees, they are controlled, making the right decisions. And

then they squander the last pass. They are in good control. And the

one Pass. Definitely a forward pass. 25 points up. They are back. Four

England players. You would expect them to run the ball a bit because

they are totally dominant in every facet of play, but unfortunately,

it did not happen. Look on the far side. Rugby is about communicating.

You go left, all right, and they went for the easy option. For me,

you have to give credit to the Argentine decide. They held on to

the ball well when they came out in the second half. Ben Foden. This is

what he did a couple of years ago. He did well. It was unfortunate a

few times the final pass, perhaps people were over-eager. They will

be happy with the defence. No tries were leaked. They were critical in

the first half and played extremely well. They set a great platform to

cut loose in the second half. We are disappointed it did not happen.

But they could have scored another four tries. They were a little bit

slack. Perhaps not as switched-on because you know you have won the

game. It would have been great to see them kick on. It will be an

interesting decision for the Argentine coach to see who he picks

in the next game. Stuart Lancaster and the coach will have learned a
