Good afternoon and welcome to the BBC Sport Centre. I'm Olly Foster.

This is the final Saturday Sportsday of 2013.

Lots coming up in today's show. An early kick off in the Premier

League. We'll have an update on West Ham against West Bromwich Albion.

Further afield, with Sochi fast approaching, we meet one of Great

Britain's brightest Paralympic hopes.

England's hockey stars are hoping to cook up a storm in 2014. D they have

been finding a novel way to prepare for their next tournament.

And before we jump into next year, we'll take a look back at some of

the great moments of 2013. But first, here are today's

headlines. England's cricketers are heading for

defeat in the Fourth Ashes Test after a batting collapse in their

second innings on the third day. We'll have more from Melbourne in a

moment. Cardiff City have held talks with

former Manchester United striker Ole Gunnar Solskjaer about replacing

their sacked manager Malky Mackay. And Murray has Lendl. Djokovic has

Becker. Now Roger Federer has turned to Stefan Edberg to join his

coaching team on a part-time basis. Now to the Ashes. Australia have two

days and ten wickets in hand to score just 201 runs to win the

fourth Test and go 4-0 up in the series. After one of England's best

days on tour, they produced one of their worst. Our Chief Sports

Correspondent Dan Roan is at the MCG.

This was either the worst batting display of a dispiriting tour. They

turned what was promising position at one stage into a perilous one.

The danger is have squandered a golden chance to avoid a 5-0

humiliating whitewash in this series and may go for-0 down by this time

tomorrow. England managed to finally ball still you're out in their first

innings for 204, giving them a lead of 51, which they had to build on.

Everything began well. But after Alastair Cook Pro 12 macro -- after

problems for Alastair Cook, the problems continued. It was left to

Peiterson do try and steadied the innings. He was supported by the

likes of Stokes. Then the second collapse, the tale crumbling, five

wickets falling for six runs, England 179 all out, their lead

230, and Australia showing how easy it was to bat on this wicket later

201 more runs. What exactly went wrong? Nathan Lyon

was the main problem, five wickets. We will hear from him in a moment.

At first from the England keeper. I am not sure what we can say. It was

disappointing and the mood is looking forward to tomorrow. Knowing

we have to take ten wickets. The guys are talking about how that will

happen and the plans we will use to take that forward. Obviously, we

know that is the challenge ahead of us, but we also know we bowled them

out for less in the first innings. We did not expect to turn the game

around, but knew that if we kept improving as a bowling unit, we knew

we could crack open the game. We were lucky to get that. Definitely

can get the job done, but it will be a tough challenge, we know how well

England bowled in the first innings, and we need to have good intent with

the bat and be patient. That will be the biggest thing, if we can build

some big partnerships. It will be quite hard, with the reverse swing,

and it will be a tough job and challenge. Fingers crossed. We will

see how we go. We enjoy the challenge. No doubt this has been a

desperate day for England, but there is still hope, they can still win

this fourth Ashes test at the MCG. After all, it would be, if Australia

can do this, the highest fourth innings run chase since the 1960s,

but the reality is this picture is quite docile, it is not

misbehaving. If England were to do it, their bowlers will have to

perform with real discipline. Monty Panesar will no doubt come to the

vote, but most people agreeing Austria are the favourites, and

England staring down the barrel of another 5-0 whitewash, which they

suffered when he in 2006 and 2006. Andrew Flintoff the captain then,

ending in 5-0, England desperate to avoid that, but making it hard for

themselves. They certainly have. Dan Roan, our

Chief Sports Correspondent at the MCG. Now, Great Britain has never

won a gold medal at the Winter Paralympics. Last week, they were

dealt a blow when Heather Mills pulled out of the squad after an

argument over her equipment. The Sochi Games are just over two months

away. But the team might just have found a combination to get them to

the top of the podium. Nick Hope reports from Austria.

The thought of speeding down a mountain at 65 mph would terrify

most, but imagine doing that when you were registered blind. I can see

some things, but not very much, I cannot drive a car, cycle bike, do

not know what is happening at speed, whether I am moving or whether I

have stopped. It is like a bright light shining in my eye all the

time. I would not see without dumbing helping. Kelly Gallagher is

just about able to make out her gait. She finished fourth at the

Vancouver Olympics. Since 2010, she has won six World Championship

medals and World Cup gold in Sochi, but also a few mishaps. I assumed it

would just happen, it would be easy, but we had to work hard for it. Two

people who had never met, never knew anything about each other, then put

together to make a team, and a nasty crash in our first year. It was

frightening, all in my control, making a stronger, but hitting us

hard. My poor mother Spencer full time saying prayers. And if we do

not weep a picture looking healthy and happy, we get a phone call. --

poor mother spends her time. After London 2012, how much do you Winter

Paralympics one to June of that attention? It will obviously not be

bombed, but the idea of getting selected for the games to start off

with, -- it will not be at home. A guess it is our time, if selected,

to shine at Sochi. I know the feeling of filling a course, feeling

good about it, and the feeling of standing on a podium is amazing. It

is a dream come true. The one silver earlier this month. Many in this

board believe they can better that come their Paralympics in Sochi.

From the cold to something considerably hotter. The hockey year

starts in India next month with the World League Final, pitting the

world's top eight nations against each other. England are taking part

and their preparations took them to London's famous Brick Lane.

I am George Pinner, the goalkeeper. I am Dan Fox, the defender. We went

to Brick Lane for the evening, I was in charge of four chefs, Dan Fox was

also in charge of four. It was our duty to cook two different meals for

the squad. So we could experience some Indian food ahead of going out

there for the worldly. How hot do you want it? Like the vindaloo? Not

vindaloo! He is on the Lam. How is it going? -- lamb. Yes, adding

another 50%. We are going hot. Not renowned for our experience to

handle heat. It is important to get the

opportunity to do stuff away from the pitch and uneasy. It is hard! It

is getting hotter! -- away from the pitch and gymnasium. We can get to

know each other better, allow us to strengthen bonds as a team.

It is good! Two of my favourite ingredients, garlic and onions.

England is a great place to play hockey. The crowds are

enthusiastic. It is against the top eight sides of the world, testing

ourselves. We cooked three different dishes, the squad tasted those, then

tasted Dan Fox's team, voting on who they felt delivered the best.

CHEERING. Absolutely devastated, I do not understand. My team, I am

pleased to say, won with a unanimous vote. I am convinced it was raped by

some members. Probably the better Hearts.

I know what I want for lunch now. There's a lunchtime kick-off in the

Premier League. West Ham have the early lead, 1-0 after nine minutes.
