Hello, are very good evening to you. Welcome back to the Crucible and

:00:39.:00:45.

highlights on day seven of the 27th in the World Snooker Championship.

:00:46.:00:49.

We had Stuart Bingham against Kyren Wilson playing to finish for you

:00:50.:00:52.

very shortly but first up the match that everyone is talking about,

:00:53.:00:57.

Shaun Murphy against Ronnie O'Sullivan.

:00:58.:01:08.

If this session is anything like the first session we will be in for a

:01:09.:01:15.

treat. There you go. Ronnie never got a chance in that frame, it was

:01:16.:01:27.

all about Shaun Murphy. Oh! It just caught the all. Shaun has not had

:01:28.:01:38.

much of a in this one. It is no gimme, that's for sure. It went in

:01:39.:01:45.

nevertheless. He thought it was worth the risk but he got it and he

:01:46.:01:57.

played it beautifully. Right in the heart of the pocket. If he misses

:01:58.:02:02.

the kiss on the yellow it is perfect. Have a look at this. Needs

:02:03.:02:12.

a bounce. Superb. Indigo is the black. He leads Shaun Murphy nine

:02:13.:02:22.

frames to three. He played really well. He has got the frame on the

:02:23.:02:30.

board, 9-4, Ronnie O'Sullivan. First chance for Shaun. A great shot. It

:02:31.:02:40.

is the comeback, can get stronger? He still trails 5-4.

:02:41.:02:50.

Wow, no apology for the fluke. Oh, and he has missed it. It is really

:02:51.:03:04.

unforgivable. In goes the black. Ronnie O'Sullivan makes a marvellous

:03:05.:03:11.

clearance and keeps his four frame advantage going into the third

:03:12.:03:17.

session tomorrow morning. 10-6. Now you know what you have to go. That

:03:18.:03:21.

match resumes at 10am, nice early breakfast and get yourself on the

:03:22.:03:25.

sofa and do not miss that third and final session. Expect fireworks.

:03:26.:03:30.

Back to tonight, let us bring you up-to-date with the Stuart Bingham

:03:31.:03:34.

and Kyren Wilson match. Being reached the quarterfinals last year

:03:35.:03:39.

and got knocked out by Mark Selby. He led 9-7 overnight and took the

:03:40.:03:49.

first frame and evening session to make it 10-7. We join it at the

:03:50.:03:52.

start of frame 18 with commentary from Dennis Taylor and Stephen

:03:53.:03:53.

Hendry. Kyren Wilson to break. He won't be happy with that break

:03:54.:04:07.

off, it is one of the worst break-off shots he has made in this

:04:08.:04:11.

match. It is the last thing you want to do when you open up a three frame

:04:12.:04:15.

advantage, give your opponent an early chance.

:04:16.:04:35.

And the reds have opened nicely so one little cannon here through the

:04:36.:04:42.

gap of the two reds, just to nudge the other one, you doesn't after it

:04:43.:04:47.

art, just a gentle little shot will do it. Then he's off running.

:04:48.:05:01.

Stuart Bingham is too experienced a world champion himself not that long

:05:02.:05:11.

ago so he won't be pressing the panic button yet. There is a long

:05:12.:05:16.

way to go. He needs to start winning frames. Not just one at a time, he

:05:17.:05:23.

needs to be reeling off two or three frames at a time.

:05:24.:05:36.

I am not sure about that. He just got far too much action into the cue

:05:37.:05:44.

ball there. He will now have to take the one into the right corner, he

:05:45.:05:49.

was playing for the one closest to the black but look at far he goes

:05:50.:05:51.

out with that. 25. He will be going into the bunch

:05:52.:06:52.

of reds here, holding for the one just above the black in the left

:06:53.:06:54.

corner. He struck that beautifully. He would love to win this frame in

:06:55.:07:29.

one visit. Scrappy frames is OK but nothing sends a message to your

:07:30.:07:33.

opponent that you are still very much in the match than winning in

:07:34.:07:43.

the one visit. Especially when your opponent has made a very poor

:07:44.:07:50.

break-off shot. As I mentioned at the time, it was the worst break off

:07:51.:08:01.

he has made in this match. Well, he thought he didn't have to go into

:08:02.:08:04.

them at any pace there but it hasn't worked out for him. No, he needs to

:08:05.:08:10.

go through that gap, that is what he is playing for, to the right of the

:08:11.:08:15.

pink. He got into the cue ball too much. That is why he played it at

:08:16.:08:19.

quite a soft place. He would not have needed to hit it any harder if

:08:20.:08:25.

he got the gap. It was a bad shot. You could say unlucky not to be on

:08:26.:08:28.

anything but he won't played very well.

:08:29.:09:28.

39. A clever double there because look where he left the cue ball. He

:09:29.:09:40.

was not leaving anything on. He would love to cannon the pink here

:09:41.:09:42.

and it would just open everything up.

:09:43.:09:56.

47. A little bit straight on the blue but it does not matter because

:09:57.:10:40.

of the red over the corner pocket, you can drop the blue in and leave

:10:41.:10:46.

it at that. He can just screw back and leave one on the other corner.

:10:47.:10:57.

Or he could hold the spot. That would be quite clever. Now it is

:10:58.:11:03.

much easier to get position with the blue on the black spot. He is

:11:04.:11:13.

starting to look good, Stuart Bingham, and, as I say, when you

:11:14.:11:17.

have been world champion it stands you in good stead when a question is

:11:18.:11:24.

being asked. He is three frames behind and this is a good response.

:11:25.:12:14.

This here is just proving how important it is to make a good

:12:15.:13:23.

break-off shot. Especially with the standard these days. That is the

:13:24.:13:38.

frame secure. This was a shocker of a break off. Far too thick and he

:13:39.:13:41.

brought the red down and never got the white over and anywhere near the

:13:42.:13:44.

cushion. 72. We have had 35 centuries so far in

:13:45.:14:28.

this year 's championship. Stuart has only had one and this could be a

:14:29.:14:38.

very tiny one indeed. 86. 41 he has made this season so he has been

:14:39.:14:41.

playing much better this year than when he was playing and defending

:14:42.:14:47.

after he won the world title. I think you put so much into the

:14:48.:14:52.

commitment that his game suffered a little bit. Yes, it definitely seems

:14:53.:14:58.

like a weight around his shoulders. Not in general but whenever he got

:14:59.:15:02.

onto a snooker table. He did not look the same player. Absolutely

:15:03.:15:17.

superb. A very timely century break. He is very likeable, Stuart Bingham.

:15:18.:15:41.

110. 136 is the highest so far this year, there is a possible 137 on but

:15:42.:15:56.

I don't think it will win the high break prize of ?10,000. But it is

:15:57.:16:08.

certainly going to supersede Ding Junhui 's 136. 119.

:16:09.:16:24.

124. The highest break last year was made by Kyren Wilson, a break of

:16:25.:16:40.

143. So in goes the black and that is the highest break this year,

:16:41.:16:46.

Stuart Bingham got one chance from a poor break-off shot and he played

:16:47.:16:51.

the table. He is back to just two behind. 10-8. Excellent work, being

:16:52.:16:56.

one the next frame and then Wilson rattled in a break of 59 and can he

:16:57.:17:02.

age a little bit closer to victory? Back to Dennis and Stephen. Stuart

:17:03.:17:06.

Bingham to break. Thank you. Yes, one ball at a time.

:17:07.:17:40.

Frame by frame. That was my autobiography in 1985, I called it

:17:41.:17:43.

frame by frame and that is what you have to do.

:17:44.:17:57.

A very impressive start after the mid session interval and the kids on

:17:58.:18:04.

the ground means that you can pot either yellow or green, but from

:18:05.:18:07.

almost on the cushion, terrific. This needs to bounce. He has got a

:18:08.:18:31.

long red up into the right corner past the blue and green, he is not

:18:32.:18:38.

on this one I don't think. It just came up a fraction short after

:18:39.:18:41.

travelling all of that way around the table. He potted one earlier

:18:42.:18:49.

where he made the angle, played it by the site but he is better off

:18:50.:18:56.

taking the long one. This is a little bit of a test for Kyran.

:18:57.:19:06.

I tell you what, he doesn't seem to mind the pressure to knock that one

:19:07.:19:22.

in. Yes, this was certainly potted with authority. He has not got ideal

:19:23.:19:28.

position from it. A very confident pot.

:19:29.:19:40.

I mean, look at this shot with the rest, it is beautifully played, it

:19:41.:19:48.

really is. I think he showed the amount of bottle he has on that

:19:49.:19:50.

previous frame. He seems to be enjoying himself out

:19:51.:20:08.

there as well. He is under extreme pressure but he is playing some

:20:09.:20:18.

terrific stuff you. He seems to love playing at the Crucible, in the

:20:19.:20:22.

biggest event that we have in snooker. It means that you are some

:20:23.:20:36.

player, this is some pressure in this place. You hear of 17 days --

:20:37.:20:42.

make you are here over 17 days and you will take a lot of big hits, bad

:20:43.:20:48.

shots, frames you should have one, games you will lose and you have to

:20:49.:20:52.

have a good temperament to withstand all of that. And early key shot

:20:53.:20:56.

coming up here because he will disturb reds and a pink. Can he get

:20:57.:20:58.

on a colour? He could not have split the many

:20:59.:21:13.

better than that. He is just one more shot away from getting an ideal

:21:14.:21:18.

position, as we show you that split again. He got a red up past the

:21:19.:21:25.

blues are. One more good shot and he has got a great chance here.

:21:26.:21:33.

Oh, he is going to snooker himself with the green, is he? I think he

:21:34.:21:38.

has just gone far enough. His two victories against Stuart,

:21:39.:22:28.

they have only played them selves -- they have only played each other

:22:29.:22:33.

twice. They were both in China, in the Shanghai Masters and the China

:22:34.:22:34.

open. 35. He struck that perfectly. Now with

:22:35.:23:06.

absolute praying position, he will be very, very disappointed if he

:23:07.:23:07.

cannot win the frame from here. It looks like it will be another

:23:08.:23:38.

frame one from the break off. This will be the third time it has

:23:39.:23:40.

happened at night. -- tonight. He may just have to go up for the

:23:41.:24:16.

blue here. He wanted to be straight on this red. He is not that many

:24:17.:24:21.

pots away from opening up a three frame advantage. He could hold for

:24:22.:24:28.

the pink. That was even better. This is terrific stuff from Kyren,

:24:29.:24:49.

he got the quarterfinal last year and he lost to Mark Selby 13-8. It

:24:50.:24:54.

looks like he has got intentions of doing better this year. Stuart

:24:55.:24:57.

cannot do anything about this. It may not be on that red but it

:24:58.:25:13.

doesn't really matter. He is 72 ahead and he might be able to get to

:25:14.:25:17.

the potting angle of the one to the middle pocket.

:25:18.:25:28.

It doesn't look as though Stuart Bingham will be getting back to the

:25:29.:25:42.

table anywhere but he wouldn't be coming back now so Kyren Wilson can

:25:43.:25:47.

make a century break, I wouldn't bet against it now. There have been 37

:25:48.:25:56.

centuries so far in this years BetFred World Snooker Championship.

:25:57.:26:06.

Just the one century so far in this game. Oh, he has overcome the red.

:26:07.:26:13.

What a shame, no century break, but it would be too disappointed with

:26:14.:26:18.

that. Stuart Bingham just made one mistake and that was all Kyren

:26:19.:26:21.

Wilson needed and he took it with that magnificent break and now he is

:26:22.:26:26.

just one frame away from a place in the quarterfinal. 12-9. Frame 22,

:26:27.:26:31.

Kyren Wilson to break. He has made a pretty decent

:26:32.:26:52.

break-off shot, probably just a little bit harder would have left

:26:53.:27:00.

the white tucked up in the cushion. Stuart Bingham, don't write this man

:27:01.:27:05.

off, you would do at your peril. OK, he has got to win or four frames but

:27:06.:27:10.

he is quite capable of doing that if he gets the chance, but this is not

:27:11.:27:15.

very inviting as an opener, but there you go.

:27:16.:27:24.

These two players have pot every time off the break off to night,

:27:25.:27:31.

incredible. A great shot from Stuart Bingham. He knows now that every

:27:32.:27:37.

miss, every mistake now could be his last in this year 's championship.

:27:38.:27:43.

Sometimes that makes you produce your best form.

:27:44.:27:57.

That just wobbled slightly, before disappearing. Let's have a look at

:27:58.:28:05.

it from this angle. Any more pace, it would have stayed out. This is a

:28:06.:28:09.

little bit of a tester. Well played, right in the centre of

:28:10.:28:20.

the pocket, and he's given himself a great chance now.

:28:21.:28:27.

Previously, he couldn't play the cannon on that red. Now he can, from

:28:28.:28:30.

this position. Just needed to nudge it and he was

:28:31.:28:37.

going to have a choice of reds. He's got a kick there. He was hoping

:28:38.:28:58.

to run through a bit further pop the black and cannon into the reds. It

:28:59.:29:03.

just jumped slightly. It's not a problem, because he could play for

:29:04.:29:05.

the red next to the black. He's left this rather awkward for

:29:06.:29:49.

himself. He hasn't got much of an angle on the black. It's just off

:29:50.:29:52.

straight. It's going to be the long red, but

:29:53.:29:59.

into the left corner pocket. He may not be able to screw past the

:30:00.:30:13.

pack of reds from that angle. But if he does judge it and he gets

:30:14.:30:27.

the cannon in the right way, he could be on the black.

:30:28.:30:36.

There was a lot going on with that shot, not only the pot, but to judge

:30:37.:30:49.

the cannon and get himself on the black.

:30:50.:31:04.

Much time just coming over seven hours and that's five reds and five

:31:05.:31:08.

blacks -- match time. Perfect angle. You'd love to just

:31:09.:31:41.

come in the red, not the one directly behind the pack. The other

:31:42.:31:47.

one would be ideal. -- he'd love to come in the red. If you could cannon

:31:48.:31:53.

that one with a bit of screw on it and that's what he's done, beautiful

:31:54.:31:56.

shot. Beautifully played. APPLAUSE

:31:57.:32:11.

He's just got to judge the contact. He's coming round to look at the

:32:12.:32:20.

other one. The red is looking at the right corner, he's got to judge the

:32:21.:32:26.

cannon off the red next to it if he wants to stay on the black. His main

:32:27.:32:29.

concern is the frame, isn't it, to get to 12-10. He's done the maximum

:32:30.:32:33.

on three occasions. You can see his intentions here. He

:32:34.:32:48.

wants a four maximum break, ?10,000 for the highest break, ?5,000 if you

:32:49.:32:50.

make a maximum. Don't get me started on that! -- let

:32:51.:33:08.

Stuart concentrate on this one for a maximum break. You could not place

:33:09.:33:15.

the reds in a better position. He had seven reds and seven blacks

:33:16.:33:20.

earlier on in this match, with the seventh frame, and then broke down,

:33:21.:33:26.

but he's still in pretty good shape here. He's just lost the cue ball by

:33:27.:33:35.

literally an inch. To make this a straightforward automatic position

:33:36.:33:38.

all shot. That's why he hasn't played it by now because he knows

:33:39.:33:43.

he's got more angle on this black than he wanted.

:33:44.:34:35.

His highest break at the Crucible Theatre was 145, made in 2015. This

:34:36.:34:48.

red will make the frame safe. Come on, Stuart, the frame is safe, and

:34:49.:34:54.

I'm sure even Kyren Wilson wouldn't mind if his opponent made the

:34:55.:35:02.

magical 147 here. He'll already be thinking about the next frame.

:35:03.:35:14.

Oh dear. The red to the right of the table to right corner, that's the

:35:15.:35:24.

one he's going to have to play if he wants to stay on the black.

:35:25.:35:43.

Well, what a shame. Kyren Wilson puts his cued down and leave the

:35:44.:35:52.

arena. I didn't think Stuart Bingham was finished just yet, and he's not,

:35:53.:35:59.

given the frame and its 12-10 now. JASON MOHAMMAD: We thought we were

:36:00.:36:05.

onto a 147 from Stuart Bingham. Could he close the gap even further?

:36:06.:36:12.

Into the next frame, Wilson to play on 21.

:36:13.:36:13.

COMMENTATOR: Stephen was talking about getting in

:36:14.:36:22.

six out of the seven frames. Off the break off shot. And how is your

:36:23.:36:31.

look? It's pretty good. He can get through to this red and the black is

:36:32.:36:33.

available, the pink is available. Very good contact on the pink hair,

:36:34.:36:43.

full-ball contact, keeping the cue ball in the middle of the table. You

:36:44.:36:49.

have to be very unlucky not to be on one.

:36:50.:37:04.

Turned professional in 2010. He probably feels like he's served his

:37:05.:37:08.

apprenticeship. His time is now in the game of

:37:09.:37:23.

snooker. The gentleman next to make got to be number one in five

:37:24.:37:27.

seasons, John Higgins did it in six seasons. Mark Williams, I think,

:37:28.:37:29.

took six or seven seasons to do it. He's let that one slip away just a

:37:30.:37:36.

little bit. No... Yes! I think just the pace

:37:37.:37:52.

again, I thought he'd missed that. I think if we weren't at 12-10, we

:37:53.:38:46.

see that shot, he gets too thick contact that red.

:38:47.:38:55.

I think one of the ball colours is safe. Especially being 43 points in

:38:56.:39:03.

front, he needs a little bit of insurance.

:39:04.:39:15.

APPLAUSE Has he left a tempter for Stuart

:39:16.:39:27.

Bingham? Stuart is looking to the red to the right of the pink, what

:39:28.:39:31.

are shot that would be to take on. He's had a look at it. He's got a

:39:32.:39:35.

pretty straightforward safety shot. He's back looking at the pot again.

:39:36.:39:53.

He's just looking to see if he could find a gap there, if he does take

:39:54.:39:58.

the pot one. Well, him here we go. This is a huge

:39:59.:40:07.

shot he's taking on here. That was very, very risky, but he

:40:08.:40:31.

thought, I'm going to have a go, and who can blame him. But under the

:40:32.:40:40.

circumstances that was very tough and if this red goes into the left

:40:41.:40:47.

middle pocket, it could be the end of match. But this is far from easy.

:40:48.:40:51.

A lot of pressure on this one. Well, under the circumstances, a

:40:52.:41:18.

terrific pot. A very acute angle, he's on the black. How does Stuart

:41:19.:41:23.

Bingham play the last shot in this year's World Championship? Still got

:41:24.:41:25.

to knock them in there. Pressure from a pure pressure. If he

:41:26.:41:35.

knocks the black in he wins the match.

:41:36.:41:43.

The technical term for this is a twitch. Seeing the winning line.

:41:44.:41:59.

Stuart Bingham can find a clearance here, things could get very

:42:00.:42:02.

interesting here. Black is out of commission at the

:42:03.:42:28.

moment. I think the pink would be in the

:42:29.:42:41.

clear, if he could get it back on its own spot, but it doesn't matter

:42:42.:42:45.

what colour he plays. The blue is available.

:42:46.:42:53.

The simple fact is he's got to keep potting them.

:42:54.:42:55.

APPLAUSE There is a red to the left, but he's

:42:56.:43:01.

the wrong side of the blue. It will be the left side of the blue

:43:02.:43:17.

line. It's the more difficult pink. The

:43:18.:43:29.

yellow was a bit of a distraction. Play on the other table, how costly

:43:30.:43:58.

is this? Much better if he'd waited for the applause died down.

:43:59.:44:04.

It's difficult to stop yourself, sometimes. It's a bit like a golf

:44:05.:44:10.

shot, but you need to step away and go back to it again.

:44:11.:44:16.

But he's not quite getting through the ball. That's purely because of

:44:17.:44:23.

the situation here and a little bit of tension. This is a big moment in

:44:24.:44:25.

this young player's career. 43 ahead, if he pops a red. And the

:44:26.:44:44.

blue, he'll need one more red. Yes, there was a wry smile from

:44:45.:45:10.

Kyren Wilson there. He's not quite going in these reds, I don't think.

:45:11.:45:14.

Desperately wants to be able to play this red. I think you'll have to hit

:45:15.:45:19.

them both together to pot it. As he's -- and he's potted both of

:45:20.:45:40.

them. What a bonus that is! That's amazing. In his first-round match,

:45:41.:45:44.

he missed match ball and flicked it in the middle. And that time Pease

:45:45.:45:49.

Pottage two at once to leave Bingham with a snooker. He's on the pink

:45:50.:45:51.

anyway. Well, he's run out of position, but

:45:52.:46:05.

51 in front, with a possible 43 on the table. A sort of exhibition type

:46:06.:46:09.

shot. Stuart comes to the table but

:46:10.:46:20.

barring snookers it's a famous victory for Kyren Wilson to knock

:46:21.:46:28.

out the former champion 13-10. JASON MOHAMMAD: The one thing for certain

:46:29.:46:32.

is Kyren Wilson has an army of new fans. Just listen to the crowd and

the Crucible. They love him. Beaten at the quarterfinal stage by the

eventual winner Mark Selby last year, back into the last eight,

where he'll meet either John Higgins or Mark Allen and it's that first

:46:42.:46:47.

session that did the damage for Stuart Bingham Wilson taking a five

:46:48.:46:53.

game lead in that section and Stuart Bingham never really able to get

:46:54.:46:56.

back into it. Complete control by Kyren Wilson, the 2015 world

champion out. It was a very tough match.

:47:05.:47:04.

Kyren Wilson, the 2015 world champion out. It was a very tough

:47:05.:47:06.

match. I felt like I kept trying to pull away from Stewart, maybe should

:47:07.:47:12.

have got into a bit of a better lead from 5-0 up, maybe should have gone

:47:13.:47:16.

6-0 and I didn't have a great night's sleep from 5-3, but you have

:47:17.:47:20.

to look at it positively and think if somebody had said to me at the

:47:21.:47:24.

start of the match you will be 5-3 up, you would have grasped that that

:47:25.:47:29.

opportunity. Glad to pull away from Stuart in the end but he's shown

:47:30.:47:32.

what a great champion he is a forthright to the end. I took the

:47:33.:47:40.

game to him, really. I didn't come out of the second session winning

:47:41.:47:48.

the 6-2, so God only knows. I took it to him. I done everything right.

:47:49.:47:55.

I felt like I was getting kicks and bounces, like nothing could go

:47:56.:47:59.

wrong, and it just seemed like one of those sort of matches where I

:48:00.:48:05.

wasn't getting the win. His won it before so I knew it would be a tough

:48:06.:48:09.

match and he'd fight right to the end but these are all great players

:48:10.:48:11.

here. I'm in the quarterfinals now, so it's going to get tougher. Well

:48:12.:48:16.

done Kyren Wilson. Meanwhile, on the other table this evening, a

:48:17.:48:20.

wonderful match between Liang Wenbo and Ding Junhui, and all China

:48:21.:48:25.

affair of course. Liang Wenbo was 6-2 down after the first session but

:48:26.:48:29.

remarkably won five of eight frames in the evening session. This break

of 130 the highlights. Just look at what happens here. He misses the

pink! He bangs his head here as he walks

away. The overnight score, Ding Junhui leading Liang Wenbo by 9-7.

They play to finish in the afternoon. You can watch it live

took control of the opening session, leading the four time world champion

John Higgins, the winner of course playing Kyren Wilson in the
