Welcome to London. Welcome to the O2 arena which lies close to the

:00:39.:00:45.

Cutty Sark and Canary Wharf. In 2012 this area was the focus of

:00:45.:00:49.

attention for a great British celebration, the London Olympic

:00:49.:00:54.

games. The city rose to the occasion and delivered a memorable

:00:54.:01:00.

summer. It has been quite a year in tennis, with headlines galore. The

:01:00.:01:04.

recurrence of a nagging injury, the resurgence of a legend and one

:01:04.:01:12.

Grand Slam record breaking victory after another. Now it is the

:01:12.:01:15.

Barclays ATP World Tour Final and it promises to be a spectacular

:01:15.:01:25.
:01:25.:01:35.

It is over and the man deserves it. Another magnificent achievements in

:01:35.:01:41.

the career of Rafael Nadal, now I record-breaking seven times French

:01:41.:01:46.

Open champion. SUE BARKER: And uncharacteristic

:01:46.:01:52.

defeat for Rafael Nadal was the result of an injury ending his

:01:52.:02:02.
:02:02.:02:03.

season in 2012. Championship number seven for Roger Federer. Seven

:02:03.:02:13.
:02:13.:02:13.

Wimbledon crowns and 17 Grand Slam titles. But it was a turning-point

:02:13.:02:23.

for the man from Dunblane. The gold medal 14 GB. Andy Murray has won

:02:23.:02:28.

the title. He has won his first Grand Slam. He has gone and done

:02:28.:02:35.

Three Grand Slam champions all going for one prestigious title. A

:02:35.:02:40.

final triumph as 2012 draws to a close. It has been a year and we

:02:40.:02:44.

are looking forward to eight days of competition. We have Andy Murray

:02:44.:02:49.

against Tomas Berdych on the first day. That is after the doubles

:02:49.:02:54.

match is completed. Tim Henman and Andrew Castle is with me. We had

:02:54.:03:00.

just been looking back at 2012, which was sad for Rafael Nadal

:03:00.:03:10.
:03:10.:03:11.

because he is not here? Djokovic started with a victory. The

:03:11.:03:14.

victories he had over Andy Murray and Rafael Nadal was an

:03:14.:03:19.

unbelievable way for the thing to start up. Going into the French

:03:19.:03:22.

Djokovic was looking to be the first man to hold all four Grand

:03:23.:03:29.

Slams. Federer won at Wimbledon and then we had the Olympics with Andy

:03:29.:03:34.

Murray and now he is returning as a Grand Slam champion. It has been a

:03:34.:03:39.

captivating -- captivating year. Even when Rafael Nadal is not in

:03:39.:03:45.

the mix, he is creating stories. What a difference for Andy Murray,

:03:45.:03:52.

his Wimbledon experience was. Picking up a gold medal for weeks

:03:52.:03:56.

after losing in the final at Wimbledon? He was bitterly

:03:56.:04:00.

disappointed to lose the Wimbledon final, but amazing to have the

:04:00.:04:05.

opportunity so soon after to come back for the Olympics. He played so

:04:05.:04:10.

well. Them on the back of that, to get a huge title under his belt, it

:04:10.:04:20.
:04:20.:04:21.

was a big Stepanek stone for him going into the US Open. Andrew

:04:21.:04:29.

Murray, the first British man for 76 years? It leaves you with Tomas

:04:29.:04:34.

Berdych, who Murray is going to play. It is a tough era. These guys

:04:34.:04:39.

would have been stars in another era. I wonder how much Federer has

:04:39.:04:44.

got left? I know he is magnificent. It I would never ask him or

:04:44.:04:49.

question him when is he going to quit, because I still think he can

:04:49.:04:54.

threaten the major titles. But I feel the others had taken Perhaps a

:04:54.:04:59.

quarter of a step up, and he has remained the same. He may have

:04:59.:05:04.

improved over the last few years, but Djokovic and Murray

:05:04.:05:09.

particularly, they have been captivating. They are 25 years of

:05:09.:05:13.

age. This is the time when they should be in their prime. They

:05:13.:05:19.

certainly are. It is brilliant, it is set up. The moments when Andy

:05:19.:05:22.

Murray took the microphone from you at Wimbledon after losing the final

:05:22.:05:28.

and said, I will say a few words, it or not be easy. I saw the birth

:05:28.:05:35.

of a champion. A wonderful year. The doubles match has finished, so

:05:35.:05:40.

it will be about 10 minutes before the singles come on. It was a

:05:40.:05:44.

turning-point and Andy spoke to Ivan Lendl afterwards and they had

:05:44.:05:48.

a heart-to-heart. He said, you have done it, you have got the emotion

:05:48.:05:54.

out of the way and the only way is up? Absolutely. Watching the match,

:05:55.:06:00.

the pressure and expectation. They talked about it afterwards, and I

:06:00.:06:06.

don't think Murray could ever play in a match with more pressure.

:06:06.:06:11.

Djokovic played amazingly well. He took so much away from that. And in

:06:11.:06:15.

his speech, people saw our lot from Andy Murray and he had fantastic

:06:16.:06:20.

support. Going into the Olympics, it paid off for him. We do not

:06:20.:06:25.

doubt his passion. We were talking about Federer, when we were having

:06:25.:06:30.

this conversation about him at Wimbledon, he then won Wimbledon

:06:30.:06:35.

and then became a world No. 1? was this time last year Federer had

:06:35.:06:41.

a great run indoors. He was talking about how he wanted to get back to

:06:41.:06:50.

world No. 1. To get the 70s Grand Slam title was a big part of him

:06:50.:06:56.

accumulating. Week are here for the Barclays ATP World Tour Final. It

:06:56.:07:06.
:07:06.:07:21.

world No 1 today. Both groups are tough. But Andy has some big

:07:21.:07:26.

hitters in his crib? Every match replays against Djokovic is

:07:26.:07:35.

stunning. This group, is not the group of death. This is the easy

:07:35.:07:45.
:07:45.:07:48.

one. Berry has just won in Valencia and beat John rich. There is no

:07:49.:07:58.
:07:59.:08:00.

Some of us have played in this event. Touching on that grip, I

:08:00.:08:05.

think Ferrer is such an amazing story. He has won seven titles this

:08:05.:08:15.
:08:15.:08:17.

year. And he won Masters 1000 in Paris. He has had a fantastic year.

:08:17.:08:23.

Certainly has. We have Andy Murray coming up, but let's hear from him

:08:23.:08:28.

because we spoke to him earlier. The Olympics, the support was

:08:28.:08:35.

unbelievable. It was very different to the Wimbledon final. It was an

:08:35.:08:41.

incredible experience. As a sports fan, I watch loads of the other

:08:42.:08:49.

sports. We did a grade job at the Olympics and the Paralympics. It

:08:49.:08:58.

has been a good year for me and all British sport. Has the US Open

:08:58.:09:05.

title sunk in yet? I think it has. I haven't had much time to enjoy it

:09:05.:09:10.

or think too much about it because you play tournaments 10 days after

:09:11.:09:16.

getting back from New York. I am sure at the end of the year when I

:09:16.:09:20.

take a couple of weeks off, have time to relax and think about the

:09:20.:09:25.

last few months. I cannot remember that much about the week, that much

:09:25.:09:29.

about the matches. I only remember last game of the match against

:09:30.:09:37.

Djokovic. I can hardly remember any of it. I was obviously very focused

:09:37.:09:41.

for whole week. I was in the zone and having all those people there

:09:41.:09:47.

are supporting me was great. I am glad I managed to finally do it.

:09:47.:09:50.

was an incredibly long match, but the margins are so small between

:09:50.:09:57.

you or, do you feel part of that group now you have a Grand Slam

:09:57.:10:05.

title behind you? I have always just tried to keep improving. Over

:10:05.:10:15.
:10:15.:10:16.

the years, a lot of times against Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, and Federer,

:10:16.:10:20.

I have tried to do it in Grand Slams. It was nice to finally do it

:10:20.:10:26.

so I can move on to the second part of my career and focus on how I can

:10:26.:10:32.

try and win another one. The No 1 spot is not my main goal. The next

:10:32.:10:39.

major focus will be the Australian Open. That is a few months away.

:10:39.:10:44.

That is the next tournament to really trained for and build up for.

:10:44.:10:50.

I am focused on that. If you get to No 1 in the world, through winning

:10:50.:10:54.

the major competitions and beating the best players in the world. I

:10:54.:10:59.

will focus on the Australian Open next. You had the homecoming in

:10:59.:11:09.
:11:09.:11:09.

Scotland, what was that like for you? I had no idea what to expect.

:11:09.:11:15.

I don't get the chance to go back to often. It was a great day, a lot

:11:15.:11:21.

of all school friends and my family were there. So many people came to

:11:21.:11:25.

support me. There were a lot of kids on the local tennis courts. I

:11:25.:11:30.

went up there afterwards come and that was nice, it was where I grew

:11:30.:11:36.

up playing. It was nice to see them busy. I hope it stays that way.

:11:36.:11:40.

you like this event, there is a lot of razzmatazz, the lights just been

:11:40.:11:45.

on the court and everything else that goes with this event? It is

:11:45.:11:52.

completely different to Wimbledon for example. It is more like a

:11:52.:11:58.

concert feel. You get incredible crowds, a great atmosphere. I have

:11:58.:12:03.

always enjoyed playing here, so I hope I can have one last push

:12:03.:12:07.

between now and the end of the year. All of the matches are very tough

:12:07.:12:12.

and it will be a trust draw. Whoever I get my first match

:12:12.:12:16.

against, Tomas Berdych on Monday. I have had some tough matches with

:12:16.:12:21.

him over the years. The last one, the semi-finals of the US Open was

:12:21.:12:25.

a long and tricky match under tough conditions. I expect a very tough

:12:25.:12:30.

match. They are all tough matches. Andrew,

:12:30.:12:40.
:12:40.:12:40.

going back to the US Open. Watching it, two sets up, and then two sets

:12:40.:12:45.

all, it just shows what he has learned? He won the first two sets

:12:45.:12:52.

and I thought it was over. Djokovic comes back like only Djokovic and

:12:52.:12:57.

perhaps Rafael Nadal can. Pushing themselves to the limit. No

:12:57.:13:01.

disrespect to Andy, in the 5th set, you would have thought Djokovic

:13:01.:13:07.

would sweeping aside. It could easily happen. Instead, Andy Murray

:13:07.:13:13.

dug deeper. It demonstrated his character. It was remarkable. 2012

:13:13.:13:19.

has been a joke. Champion -- Chelsea win the Champions League.

:13:19.:13:24.

But that set for me was the pinnacle of everything I have seen.

:13:24.:13:32.

A bit like the last lap in the 5,000 metres. How did he find that?

:13:32.:13:38.

He took a toilet break at two sets all. It was probably a chance to

:13:38.:13:43.

look in the mirror and say, let's give it everything. Djokovic

:13:43.:13:47.

definitely have the momentum. He was able to stamp his authority and

:13:47.:13:52.

get the lead he wanted. He has achieved his dream hasn't he, but

:13:52.:13:58.

it must be a relief after 76 years? Also in the context of his career,

:13:58.:14:03.

he lost his first three Grand Slam finals. That is where Ivan Lendl

:14:03.:14:07.

has had a huge impact. To have someone in your corner who has been

:14:07.:14:13.

through that and experienced playing in a Grand Slam but not

:14:13.:14:18.

winning it. We will continue to talk about this for a long time. He

:14:18.:14:23.

will win three of the four. He has been close in Wimbledon and the

:14:23.:14:28.

Australian Open. Can he win the French? I do nothing he can. I hope

:14:28.:14:33.

he listens to this, because he loves to prove people wrong. We did

:14:33.:14:38.

not think you could, but then you very nearly did. We jumped on the

:14:38.:14:45.

train, we kept seeing you are winning matches. Then you lost.

:14:45.:14:50.

you were close. Andy Murray has had years of, when we you win a Grand

:14:50.:14:56.

Slam? Now he is getting when we you be world No 1? He is only 25 years

:14:56.:15:02.

old. He is not going towards the end of his career. He has some

:15:02.:15:07.

great years ahead. Him and Djokovic, if Rafael Nadal comes back. They

:15:07.:15:13.

are a class apart from the others. We know who the top four are. It

:15:13.:15:17.

will be fascinating to see how he pushes on from here. In his corner,

:15:17.:15:23.

Ivan Lendl. Spent 270 weeks as world No. 1 and won eight Grand

:15:24.:15:28.

Slams. I believe Andy Murray is the man to beat. I might be wrong, but

:15:28.:15:33.

I think he is. Mentally he is strong and he is absolutely ready.

:15:33.:15:36.

I think the opportunity of him coming back to London with the

:15:36.:15:41.

experience he had, the crowd support and turnout is fantastic.

:15:41.:15:47.

He is certainly going to be looking volleyed to it.

:15:47.:15:52.

This is happening behind the scenes. Here comes Tomas Berdych. First out

:15:52.:15:58.

of the dressing room and facing the hometown boy, Andy Murray. This

:15:58.:16:03.

tournament is different, the loud music, the crowd is encouraged to

:16:03.:16:07.

make a lot of noise. It is not like any Grand Slam we have seen.

:16:07.:16:13.

Obviously the focus of attention is on Wimbledon during the summer. We

:16:13.:16:17.

have 11 months of the year until it comes round again. This sort of

:16:17.:16:27.
:16:27.:16:27.

Apology for the loss of subtitles for 58 seconds

:16:27.:17:25.

SUE BARKER: Come on, where are you? ANNOUNCEMENT: the Olympic gold

:17:25.:17:35.
:17:35.:18:01.

medallist and the US Open champion SUE BARKER: What a reception for

:18:01.:18:07.

both players, but particularly this man. How nice it must be going to

:18:07.:18:12.

hear that. Three of the biggest six events in world tennis have taken

:18:12.:18:17.

place in London this year. And he has been a factor at the end of

:18:17.:18:22.

them, and I think he will be a factor at the end of this as well.

:18:22.:18:27.

During his preparations at Queen's Club, everyone was panicking. It

:18:27.:18:31.

does not mean a thing. It does not mean a thing he has had match

:18:31.:18:36.

points and lost his last three matches either. I was surprised

:18:36.:18:40.

last week, he just lost a bit of concentration. He is about the big

:18:40.:18:46.

events. In his mind, this is a big event. It is a big event, it is the

:18:46.:18:50.

5th biggest event in the world. With only the top eight players in

:18:50.:18:54.

the world, you come into this round-robin format a bit different.

:18:54.:19:00.

The first matches are important. If you can get his win under your belt,

:19:00.:19:07.

it can serve you well to get to the semi-finals. He is playing a guy he

:19:07.:19:12.

has lost to ONS four occasions. It will be interesting to see who will

:19:12.:19:17.

come out and dominate proceedings early on. These are group matches.

:19:17.:19:21.

The top two go through to the semi- final. You can lose a match in the

:19:22.:19:31.
:19:32.:19:40.

Welcome back to the O2 Arena. We need to be conscious of the time

:19:40.:19:46.

between points. The machine is on and the challenge system is on. Any

:19:46.:19:56.
:19:56.:20:01.

questions you need. It is heads. A photo.

:20:01.:20:09.

SUE BARKER: The orchestrator talk us through the coin toss. You don't

:20:09.:20:13.

see Andy towered over by many players, but that is what Tomas

:20:13.:20:18.

Berdych is, he is a big guy, big game and is dangerous. But he has

:20:18.:20:22.

never strong a lot of matches together? It wasn't so long ago he

:20:22.:20:26.

was in the Wimbledon final. He has had some fantastic achievement will

:20:26.:20:34.

stop he is such a powerful player. He hits the ball flat. Andy has to

:20:34.:20:38.

make sure he does not leave the ball in the middle of the court.

:20:38.:20:42.

Sometimes if he is a bit passive, he can let his opponent dictate.

:20:42.:20:47.

You cannot afford that against Tomas Berdych. You never like

:20:47.:20:51.

playing him. And he cannot be an easy person to face? You cannot

:20:51.:20:58.

afford to play your way in against him. Short ball,. Over. Tomas

:20:58.:21:04.

Berdych will take that game-plan out onto the court with him. He

:21:04.:21:10.

thinks it made a difference for him in 2010 where he beat Rafael Nadal

:21:10.:21:13.

and Federer back-to-back at Wimbledon before losing to Djokovic

:21:13.:21:17.

in the final. He could have walked down the street in Wimbledon

:21:17.:21:20.

village of that evening and people would have known who he was. He

:21:20.:21:26.

goes about his business quietly. Get the job done. Its Andy Murray

:21:26.:21:29.

leaves it short comedy will be punished. It is an interesting

:21:29.:21:35.

concept. One of the important aspects in the last match they

:21:35.:21:38.

played was in the semi-finals of the US Open. It was horrendous

:21:38.:21:45.

conditions, very windy. Given Tomas Berdych's play, his margin for

:21:45.:21:50.

error is very small. He struggled in the windy conditions. Coming

:21:50.:21:54.

into an indoor court, perfectly still and know elements. He will

:21:54.:21:59.

like that, he will be looking to dominate, hit the ball flat low

:21:59.:22:05.

over the net. We know Andy has got every shot in the book. The

:22:05.:22:08.

difference over the past few months is the belief, maybe the relief in

:22:09.:22:14.

some ways comedy has got that out of the way. He goes out there as

:22:14.:22:19.

the US Open champion. He goes out there as someone who would favour

:22:19.:22:24.

himself to be Tomas Berdych most of the time anyway. A match like this,

:22:24.:22:28.

you would think Andy Murray would be favourite. This is a dangerous

:22:28.:22:33.

match for him. He cannot play his way in. He has got to go from the

:22:33.:22:40.

word go. I want him to come out and start hitting. He messed about in

:22:40.:22:48.

Paris last week. He won't do that today, I do nothing. Not with the

:22:48.:22:55.

atmosphere in here. The announcement has been made, there

:22:55.:23:05.
:23:05.:23:07.

could be a two year extension. We will have to see. This place is

:23:07.:23:12.

absolutely ball, it is a delight. Almost all tickets have sold, just

:23:12.:23:15.

a few available in afternoon sessions. The appetite for tennis

:23:15.:23:22.

is so strong. It is one of the best reasons hopefully this event will

:23:22.:23:28.

stay here. For his single week tennis event, 250,000 spectators

:23:28.:23:32.

will stop and the atmosphere and the support for the players is

:23:32.:23:36.

incredible. And everything else that goes with it. It is organised

:23:36.:23:40.

fantastically well. Hopefully we will see this event staying here

:23:40.:23:44.

for a couple more years. You were talking earlier by the fact Tomas

:23:44.:23:54.
:23:54.:23:58.

that victory. They are one to one indoors. There is very little in it,

:23:58.:24:04.

but I think Andy Murray is a different player now. Andy Murray

:24:04.:24:07.

has the confidence with the big wins he has had over the summer. It

:24:07.:24:13.

is important he plays this match on his own terms. Tomas Berdych is the

:24:13.:24:16.

one he likes to dominate the play. If Andy Murray is too passive and

:24:16.:24:20.

does not play aggressive and not an gets too far behind the baseline

:24:20.:24:24.

and does not keep the ball out of the middle Committee is given Tomas

:24:24.:24:29.

Berdych the opportunity to get the first strike. If he is unwinding on

:24:29.:24:38.

his forehand and hitting a lot of It will be interesting to see how

:24:38.:24:42.

fast or slow the court is. Both players will be keen to get off to

:24:42.:24:48.

a winning start. The head-to-head, Porter three and favourite of

:24:48.:24:56.

Berdych. Let's hear from Tomas Berdych and his thoughts on facing

:24:56.:25:06.

Andy today. He is a very smart player. He can change tactics and

:25:06.:25:16.
:25:16.:25:16.

the gameplay during the match. Many things have been said about the

:25:16.:25:21.

conditions in New York this year. But that is how it is. He was

:25:21.:25:28.

dealing with it better than I did. Luckily, I hope nothing can come

:25:28.:25:35.

out the same, we are playing indoors. Let's see if this will

:25:35.:25:45.
:25:45.:25:51.

make a difference. For his game, he will have experience that will add

:25:51.:25:58.

to his game. It will make a difference when he was able to win

match and getting into the semi- finals. You have got Djokovic and

:47:23.:47:26.

You have to treat it like a knockout event. If you win the

first couple of matches, you have got a chance of progressing. You

:48:28.:48:33.

tonight, Novak Djokovic, the world No. 1, announced this morning, he

5 Live Sports extra. We're back tomorrow afternoon for Federer

:48:48.:48:58.
:48:58.:48:59.

against Tipsarevic in Group B. That first set, I was thinking, so many

:48:59.:49:04.

break-point chances and he let them slip away. There were times he did

:49:04.:49:07.

not make break point, times when Tomas Berdych played well and break

:49:07.:49:12.

point but, in the context of a round-robin event, a win is a win.

:49:13.:49:19.

There are not any points for style round artistic impression. His

:49:19.:49:23.

reaction at the end of that last game, you could tell at the last

:49:23.:49:27.

three tournaments, he was aware of that, he wanted to be very

:49:27.:49:30.

professional in that last game and he will be pleased to get the

:49:30.:49:34.

victory under his belt. He seemed to turn it around at the start of

:49:34.:49:39.

the second set. And it is almost imperceptible to the naked eye, but

:49:39.:49:44.

he just draws people in, he's creative on the court, he misses

:49:44.:49:48.

you about, he pulls you from side to side, short, long, he has got it

:49:48.:49:54.

all. It is a vital win, to play himself into this event. He is so

:49:54.:49:57.

tough to beat on this surface. And the crowd will become more animated,

:49:57.:50:04.

as he does. The last game, he was very nervous, the double fault at

:50:04.:50:09.

40-15, second serve, a couple forehands in the rally but he drew

:50:09.:50:13.

the error. Sometimes you have just got to win, whatever it takes, and

:50:13.:50:18.

I thought that was gutsy, today. does not matter how experienced you

:50:18.:50:23.

are, when you have lost three match is at match point, and throwing in

:50:23.:50:29.

that double fault at second serve, it is a tough game. The psychology

:50:29.:50:33.

of sport is about staying in the present tense. There is no doubt

:50:33.:50:37.

his mind was going back to the last couple of weeks. He had to put that

:50:37.:50:43.

out of his mind. At 40-30, that second serve was definitely going

:50:43.:50:46.

to be tight, but he will take an enormous amount of confidence from

:50:46.:50:51.

that match, he has won the match when he did not play his best. Andy

:50:51.:50:55.

Murray has found a way to get through that. In the context of how

:50:55.:50:59.

this tournament works, to get the first victory under a your belt, it

:50:59.:51:04.

is a very important step. He has important matches coming up against

:51:04.:51:10.

Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Djokovic but he will be pleased with that, today.

:51:10.:51:13.

Let us take a look at the big points, the dominance that he

:51:13.:51:18.

showed. When he is playing the sort of points, he looks much the

:51:18.:51:22.

unbeatable. Break-point down at the beginning of the second set. That

:51:22.:51:28.

forehand, that is tremendous. That takes some does. You have got to

:51:28.:51:36.

trust your technique. And here, this is where he shifted gear.

:51:36.:51:41.

the beginning of the second set. After having so many break points

:51:41.:51:48.

and getting so many opportunities, finally, he got the break through.

:51:48.:51:53.

If you're one of the other guys, how do you worry about that? It is

:51:53.:51:57.

like going through a brick wall, and he is only going to get

:51:57.:52:04.

stronger and better. It is so much better for him, when he is

:52:04.:52:08.

proactive and aggressive. He does have that string to his bow that he

:52:08.:52:13.

can make his opponent hit extra shots, and he wants to be close to

:52:13.:52:17.

the baseline looking to use his backhand and dictating the points.

:52:17.:52:23.

That has got to be done with the first set up. The first serve

:52:23.:52:30.

numbers were not great, but, he was the one that was able to get two

:52:30.:52:35.

sets under his belt. He has got such a wide variety of shots. Look

:52:35.:52:41.

captain mixing up the pace, he is just a complete player now. -- look

:52:41.:52:45.

at him. When I was a player it was all about changing pace and

:52:45.:52:49.

confusing the opponent. If you can get out there and just play your

:52:49.:52:53.

game, that is fine, but if it is not good enough, what are you going

:52:53.:52:59.

to do? He is a master at making people play worse than they would

:52:59.:53:04.

do, because he draws the error, the all time. He keeps his opponent off

:53:04.:53:09.

balance. Watching Andy Murray over the next five, six, seven years, he

:53:09.:53:14.

is going to step it up. You can see how relaxed he is, now, in the

:53:14.:53:22.

interview. It is such a relief to get that finally out of the way.

:53:22.:53:25.

Used a body as well, you know exactly what that pressure has been

:53:25.:53:32.

like. -- you suffered it as well. The circumstances of that US Open

:53:32.:53:36.

final were huge because he had been in three Grand Slam finals and was

:53:36.:53:42.

not able to get the victory. If he had lost four Grand Slam finals he

:53:42.:53:45.

would have been the first person ever to have done match and it

:53:45.:53:49.

would have been very difficult for him. But you can see there was a

:53:49.:53:53.

sense of relief, at having got that monkey of his back, he's going to

:53:53.:53:57.

look to win more, and we are talking about that earlier, we

:53:57.:54:01.

think he's going to go on and win multiple Grand Slams. He has got a

:54:01.:54:05.

great opportunity in Australia at the beginning of next year. Roger

:54:05.:54:09.

Federer is not going to be around forever, and his game matches up

:54:09.:54:13.

well against Djokovic, and who knows what is going to happen with

:54:13.:54:21.

Rafael Nadal? It is a very exciting time. You do not know how many

:54:21.:54:25.

years Roger Federer is going to stay at the top, and this rivalry

:54:25.:54:29.

between Andy Murray and Novak Djokovic is doing nicely. It could

:54:29.:54:36.

be another classic. Every time they play, like in Shanghai recently,

:54:36.:54:41.

I'm not sure whether they would have dug this deep, that is the

:54:41.:54:51.
:54:51.:54:53.

essence of a rivalry. Here we go. I think it matters very much to them

:54:53.:55:00.

to beat each other. This is magnificent. Djokovic has the

:55:00.:55:04.

ability to pull off the shot that no one else can do. Do you know

:55:04.:55:08.

what, I had forgotten this, thank you for pulling it out of the

:55:08.:55:14.

archives. Let us hope that Andy Murray is not watching! That return

:55:14.:55:19.

that Djokovic did against Federer, he has the ability to pull off the

:55:19.:55:24.

amazing shot. He does not know when he is beaten. He will keep fighting

:55:24.:55:28.

from the first point to the last. But you'll catch their head-to-head

:55:28.:55:33.

record, they are both relatively young and a played 16 times and

:55:33.:55:40.

there have been some epic matches. We do about the Australian Open?

:55:40.:55:45.

Andy Murray had that one on his racket at the end as well. At the

:55:45.:55:52.

Olympics, the were there for that, Andy Murray went to another level

:55:52.:56:02.
:56:02.:56:04.

when Djokovic tried to lift it up. Really, the future is theirs.

:56:04.:56:09.

Whether Rafael Nadal joins them or not. To me, he is the most glorious

:56:09.:56:12.

tennis player I have seen, but the future belongs to Djokovic and

:56:12.:56:21.

Murray, and Nadal, if he stays fit. Djokovic seems to have this ability,

:56:21.:56:28.

finishing this year as world No. 1, he is such a fighter. There will be

:56:28.:56:32.

some doubts about Djokovic, how you was going to do better after last

:56:32.:56:37.

year because he won three out of four Grand Slams, he lost so few

:56:37.:56:41.

matches, but this year he has finished Court Number One, but he

:56:41.:56:45.

could almost say that it has been a little bit disappointing. He won

:56:45.:56:48.

the Australian Open and was so close in the other majors. He is

:56:49.:56:53.

still the man to beat. But Andy Murray's game is improving all the

:56:53.:57:02.

time. Looking at the group, Djokovic against money could be the

:57:02.:57:09.

final. How do you deal with this? - - against Andy Murray. This group

:57:09.:57:14.

match might overnight not be live but they been not like losing to

:57:14.:57:21.

each other, it is going to be on Friday. They are just going to go

:57:21.:57:26.

at each other. When you say it might not matter, it matters as to

:57:26.:57:31.

who you play in the semi-final. want to go through as champion so

:57:31.:57:36.

that you face the runner up from the other group, but, can you dig

:57:36.:57:43.

deep and sacrifice yourself a? That is another question. I am talking

:57:43.:57:47.

about that 1%, the might seem to be able to bash each other within an

:57:47.:57:57.
:57:57.:57:58.

inch of their life, every time they play. In Group E, the macabre and

:57:58.:58:08.
:58:08.:58:08.

to be in action tomorrow, -- they are going to be in action. Roger

:58:08.:58:13.

Federer, we wrote him off and he comes back and wins Wimbledon. This

:58:13.:58:17.

is him from last year, the defending champion, he has won it

:58:17.:58:20.

in the last two years and you would be brave to write him off as we

:58:20.:58:26.

almost did at Wimbledon. Certainly in these conditions, on an indoor

:58:26.:58:32.

court, he has the most incredible record. He has won this end of your

:58:32.:58:36.

championship six times. He knows that this is the last one of the

:58:36.:58:42.

year, he wants to have this final push, for another fantastic year.

:58:42.:58:46.

His Grand Slam tally is up to 17. He is still so eager, he still

:58:46.:58:52.

enjoys what he does so much, so he will fancy his chances. That is it

:58:52.:58:59.
