match between Leyton Orient and Rotherham. Steve Evans's Rotherham,

he is in search of back-to-back promotions. Martin Fisher describes

the action. Two clubs separated only by goal

difference. There will be tears of joy for some

of these players. The emotion will be raw from opposite ends of the

scale. Opposite ends of the ground. Let's take a check on the two teams

for you. Leyton Orient have named the same side that got the better of

Peterborough United in the second leg of their semifinal. Number 4

Vincelot is the only player with happy memories of the play-offs. Cox

and Odubajo have also hit double figures. Rotherham United stick to

the line-up that got them past Preston North End. Steve Evans goes

with a 4-4-2. So, for the fourth season in a row,

third meets fourth in the League One Play-off Final. The last three have

been won by the team who finished in fourth place, so that points to a

Rotherham triumph today. It should be tight. So, we should get a few

goals along the way to get this crowd of near 50,000 off their seats

throughout the day. Skarz. That was a clumsy challenge

by Clarke. More than a few Rotherham players stopped playing. It is

clumsy from the experienced Leyton Orient captain.

Tavernier. Tavernier's shot. Fumbled by Jones.

Cox. Lisbie takes a tumble. Impeded by Morgan. A free-kick for Leyton

Orient. It is in a dangerous area. Dean cox, who has been such a

significant figure in their season to whip this ball in. Still the

damage not away. Lisbie got his head to it.

For a moment, it looked as though Lisbie might be on his way. He was

brought down by Morgan. Baudry up from the back. Too strong

for him. Odubajo! What a goal! What a strike by Odubajo! A goal fit

to grace Wembley Stadium if ever there was one. It is a scorcher from

20-year-old Moses Odubajo. His 12th of the season.

Pringle goes deep. Jones elects to punch.

It's comfortable in the end for the goalkeeper. Thomas with the header.

Mooney goes looking for number two. It might drop for Odubajo. It is a

tap-in for Cox! 2-0 Leyton Orient. They are a bit closer now. Odubajo

with a lovely ball across. Could have gone for goal here. The angle

wasn't the best, but he pulled it back for Cox who could not miss.

Brilliant awareness from Odubajo. Rotherham have just lost their way.

This is Pringle. Ambitious! Only just over the crossbar. It was worth

a dig from Ben Pringle. Odubajo has squeezed it through for

Cox. The referee, David Coote, blows for half-time. Rotherham United have

it all to do. The free-kick has gone Rotherham's

way. Agard - eventually the free-kick has

been given. There were one or two challenges there that could have

been interpreted as fouls. It is Pringle. It's the same

outcome, the top of the net rather than the back of it.

That was a clear foul by Clarke, who was leaning all over Revell. How

many more opportunities will Rotherham be given by Leyton Orient?

This is too far out for a shot at goal.

It's a good delivery. It is going to bring a goal back for Revell. Ten

minutes into the second half, and Rotherham are back in the game. It's

the former Leyton Orient striker, Alex Revell, who stabs it into an

unguarded net. Belief in the Rotherham end. Belief amongst the

players. Leyton Orient 2, Rotherham United 1. Here is the reaction of

the manager, Steve Evans. Just what he wanted. Get me a goal back before

the hour mark. Lisbie. Squeezing it through for

Odubajo. Brushed off it by Pringle. Good effort from Revell! What a

goal! What a goal by Alex Revell! Leyton Orient scored twice in five

minutes in the first half. Alex Revell and Rotherham have done

exactly the same! And we are all square at Wembley.

How many times is it that a former player comes back to haunt you on

the big day? He's scored two goals early in this second half now to

completely turn this game around. It's a fabulous goal!

It's another horror moment for Jamie Jones. Great celebrations for Steve

Evans! The trousers just about staying on! 2-2. The final always

promised goals. And we are heading for an extra 30 minutes here.

Off we go again. And the first half of extra time begins with the teams

kicking the same way as they did in the second half of normal time. 2-2.

Revell has done the damage for Rotherham today. Still on a

hat-trick, remember. He's got the flick on and it's a brilliant save

from Jamie Jones! That was magnificent. If he was at fault for

either of the Rotherham goals, he's made up for some of it there.

Dagnall. Mooney. A look at the break to the left by Vincelot. It is

Dagnall. The keeper has spilt it. Tavernier has lost it. Mooney can

come again. Mooney - a great effort! Just over the bar. What excitement

at either end. I wonder how much longer Rotherham

will leave it before they have to take off Alex Revell. He is a

passenger at the moment. He will be desperate to carry on, but he can't

walk. That is it. Steve Evans has seen enough, so Alex Revell, whose

brace has given Rotherham every chance of booking their ticket into

the Championship. He has to exit stage right. The supporters are

trying to lift the spirits. he cannot watch any more. I 30

minutes of extra time. This one will now it is all of hitting the back of

Put away by Lloyd James. Lee Frecklington next up for Rotherham.

Oh, he's found the bottom corner! And it's well saved.

Ben Pringle. He makes it look easy. Rotherham are back in it. Up steps

the captain. James Tavernier. If he misses this,

Leyton Orient are nearly there. Baudry, who has had a terrific game.

He's missed from the spot. Adam Collin does his bit for Rotherham.

And we are all square again. Richard Smallwood, another loanee at

Rotherham, to put Rotherham in front, which he does!

Steve Evans is one saved penalty away from the Championship. All the

pressure is on Chris Dagnall. Adam Collin is off his goal line.

Saved by Adam Collin. Rotherham have won it! Two penalty saves from Adam

Collin. Leyton Orient ahead during the match, ahead during the penalty

shootout, but Rotherham United have come back twice to grab that

Championship place for themselves. What drama! What joy for those

supporters of Rotherham United. And what a chapter in the story of Steve

Evans. And this club from South Yorkshire. Back-to-back promotions.

It's a third miserable experience in the play-offs for Russell Slade.

Leyton Orient stay in League One. So, Rotherham United make the long

trip upstairs to collect that piece of silverware, but it's a journey

that they will enjoy. League Two for the Championship in two seasons. --

League Two to the Championship in two seasons after a thriller in the

Wembley sunshine. Craig Morgan prepares to exhibit that trophy that

says Rotherham United are back in the Championship after a nine-year

absence. Too early for you to take positives

out of this and reflect on how proud you should be? You have made the

headlines this season? It is tough at the minute. It is probably one of

the toughest moments in my managerial career. I'm sure it's a

tough moment in one or two of the players' playing careers. We need

that period of time to sit back and reflect before we go again and that

is what we have to do. We have to go again.

What an unbelievable game and one that shows the resilience of your

squad of players, 2-0 down, what did you say at half-time? I think the

important thing is we had to go in 2-0 down. We were in danger of being

dead and buried at three. If I got them in two down, I could get in

their hearts and in their minds and the people say, "What do you do?"

That's what I do! Both teams were on their knees. To go behind in the

penalty shootout - but we have a goalkeeper who has a track record

when it comes to Wembley. Let me get this straight. Now, seven penalty

shootouts, you have won the lot and always saved two penalties? That's

right. Not a bad record! It is the way it's gone for me. I back myself.

If there was ever a performance to sum up our season, that was it. You

didn't think it was over? No, we never think it is over. We have

proved so many times before the season, we have come from two goals

down. You have now done successive promotions with two separate teams?

Yeah, it is a magic moment. I said in a previous interview, I wasn't

sure if it's been done before, but if it has, it's a magic moment.

The first one was a tap in. Yes, I was happy with the first one because

I do not get enough of them. This is just an unbelievable experience.

With an unbleached single -- with an unbelievable group of players. We

are getting this club, these people coming so far to watch this game

into the Championship. It is just a dream country. The dream becomes

reality. It is, it is incredible. Just get into the play-offs, the

play-off final. If we wanted it it would be the perfect day. Now we

have done it. I am really excited and looking forward to it.

Huge congratulations to brother. They will be playing Championship

football. -- rather. We should not be surprised by the fightback

because it has been one of their hallmarks. This is a Wembley final.

They managed to stick in there and Steve Evans, I think he is spied

them at half-time with his team talk. They never give up, they never

know when they are beaten. To do it in a Wembley final is outstanding.

We did see some special goals, the first four Leyton Orient in the

opener. Moses Odubajo has taken some good strikes week in, week out.

He set it up onto the left foot. It is a fantastic strike. The keeper

does not really move but even if he had seen it, it would still be in

the back of the net. He got booked for his celebration but I will allow

him that because it was a fantastic goal. Then came the comeback in the

second half. Alex Revell with both of them. Two very different goals

but what about the second one plasma the second one is as good as gold.

At Wembley, they are defending here against Orient, I think Pringles

sends the long ball forward and then Alex Revell, I think he slightly

mis-controls it and then he decides, I'm going to hit it. If it had been

in front of him he would have taken another touch but because it was

between his feet he hit home the volley. Jamie Jones was only six

yards off in lies -- off his line but I think it was the surprise

element which caught him out. Orient have defied the critics to finish

third but did the game in some respects encapsulated their season

in that they started off at a blistering pace and almost ran out

of steam right at the end? They were top of the league from almost

November and it has ended with Chris Ladin who was a hero in the

semifinal, just missing this penalty. I think you have to give

him credit for that, it was not the greatest penalty and it will live in

his memory for a long, long time. It is not a memory Orient should have.

They have played fantastic football and it is shame they fell at the

last hurdle. Russell Slade has a tough job to pick up the players

now. For Steve Evans, it is his third promotion in four seasons. I

know he divides opinion but you cannot argue against his success

rate. Rotherham make history to doubt, I have never seen Steve move

that quickly. He does divide opinion and I do not know why. He is a very

good manager. That is why he was taken to Rotherham. Yes, with money.

We know they have a good budget but they have to use it wisely. You need

players who will play for you and work hard. When things are

difficult, he inspires good players. That is what he has done all season

and that is why Rotherham or in the Championship. And with the financial

backing of the chairman Terry Stewart, it was only yesterday they

were playing in front of a dilapidated stadium. With some

financial clout they will more than hold their own, you imagine. Even

with the financial clout, when he had a premonition that Rotherham

would get promoted, I did not really believe it but to see them in the

Championship shows great vision from them. To appoint Steve Evans shows

foresight. Today's League One play-off final now, with Fleetwood

and Burton both entering uncharted waters as they had the chance of

reaching League One for the first time in their history. Commentary

from Paul Walker. Just a few years ago, these two were

plying their trade in non-league football, but today they meet on the

biggest stage of all with a chance to make history by reaching the

third tier for the first time. Fleetwood were the only team not to

concede in the semifinals. They can write another chapter in what has

already been a fairy tale story. They are bidding for a sixth

promotion in ten years. Burton are hoping to avoid the same fate as

neighbours Derby, by going one better than last year, when they

lost in the semifinals. Fleetwood make one change to the side that

beat York to get here. Steven Schumacher drops to the bench. Matty

Blair who got the winner in the semifinal makes his third Wembley

appearance, having scored on his two previous ones. Nathan Pond in his

testimonial season, has featured in everyone of their testimonial --

campaigns. Billy Kee has permission from the boss to play, his wife is

due to give birth any time now, but has insisted that he turns out.

Michael Naylor blows the whistle and the League Two Play-off Final is

under way. Hume. A chance for Fleetwood to

build here. Hume plays it in low. Opportunity to shoot. Great save!

David Ball extending the goalkeeper. The game under two minutes old and

we have seen the first chance already. It's a good hit and the

goalkeeper claws it away. Decent delivery! A good save once

more. Burton survive. Fleetwood will come again.

Great start from Fleetwood and a chance for Roberts. It is looping.

It grazes the top of the net. What a start.

Just the start that Graham Alexander was looking for.

Here's Blair. Might reach Sarcevic. WILL reach Sarcevic. Couldn't gather

the ball. Here he is now. That's clever, out to Blair, two waiting

for a cross. Hume and Ball are waiting for it to come over. Really

good run from Blair. Goes down under a challenge. The referee had a good

look and Ball went down also. The referee, Michael Naylor, not

interested. Here is Blair's run into the box. There was a decent shout

there. Robbie Weir with the challenge. He catches Matty Blair.

Hussey, who has the most assists in the Burton squad, will take the he

-- will take the corner this time. Another chance for Hussey to swing

the ball in. Again, Fleetwood hold firm. That was awkward for Maxwell.

Really awkward. Lee Bell took his chances from range. Nice control.

And that wasn't far wide in the end. A really good try.

The tempo has dropped somewhat, but still a good game none the less.

This is McGurk. Billy key. A chance to shoot. Good save. Lee Bell

testing Chris Maxwell. Kee teed him up and Maxwell would

have been disappointed had he not saved that. Taylor looking for a way

through. Stopped in his tracks. McGurk was back there. McGurk now

looking to make progress down the Burton right. He's been clipped. He

did well to win the ball back. He was on the move. And Goodall took

him out. Chris Hussey, then, with the free-kick in the closing seconds

of the first half. That is the end of the half. Well,

it was ferocious stuff, wasn't it? Dean Lyness came up big inside the

first couple of minutes, two excellent stops to keep Burton in

the contest. Burton responded in kind and made openings themselves,

but at the halfway point of the League Two Play-off Final, it is

Fleetwood Town 0, Burton Albion 0. It was a ferocious first half at

times. 45 minutes for one of these two to try and clinch it.

An early second half free-kick here for the Cod Army. McLaughlin to

take. That is a good flick and Ball could be in. He tried to loft it

over the keeper, Lyness. He had the presence of mind to try it.

Burton have seen plenty of the ball in the last few minutes. This is a

good spell for them. Sent long, into Billy Kee! Big moment for him. The

ball hit over the top and Kee gets between two defenders and when he

did make contact, it went flying over the top.

Bell will rise and win it. Now, MacDonald. Takes a wicked

deflection. I don't think Chris Maxwell was too sure where that was

going. He will be relieved to see it go over his bar. What can Burton o

-- Burton do with this corner? Hussey swings it in. It was a free

header. Cansdell-Sherriff heads it straight across goal. That was a big

moment for the centre-back. Good delivery comes in and just can't get

that on target. Header won by Ismail.

Now, Morris. Ooh, Edwards took him out. Yellow card. No hesitation from

the referee. Morris was in full flow there. Parkin will be an obvious

target. Sent in by Sarcevic. It's in! Sarcevic straight in from the

free-kick. He promised the Fleetwood fans he would deliver promotion. He

might just have delivered that promise! There appeared to be no

danger at all. Sarcevic flights the ball. But Lyness is miles off his

line. Did he really need to come? Well, he did. And he's paid ultimate

price. Now, Ismail. Burton desperate to try and force extra time. Still,

Ismail. Runs into a blind alley but has won a corner.

Cansdell-Sherriff goes up from the back. Diamond is in there as well.

The delivery from Chris Hussey. It needs to be good. Right over the

six-yard box. And Diamond coming round the back could do little with

it. Free-kick to Burton.

Cansdell-Sherriff will take it. Can Burton get a break? Here's Kee.

Pushed in to Palmer. Pond with the challenge. It's a corner.

Dean Lyness is coming forward as well.

Surely, Burton's last chance. In by Hussey. Out by Parkin. Here's Hussey

again. Needs to be good. The referee gives Fleetwood a

free-kick for a foul. All eyes on the referee, Michael

Naylor. He takes a look at the watch. He's not blown yet. Lyness

taking the throw-in. He will blow his whistle now! Fleetwood have done

it. Fleetwood are promoted to League One. One goal enough to settle the

contest on the day. Tears for Burton Albion, but unbridled joy for

Fleetwood. The chairman. It is his birthday today. But Dean Lyness, the

goalkeeper, a day to forget for him. Sarcevic, the goalscorer. 15 minutes

from the end. Fleetwood, for the first time in their history, will

play in football's third tier next season. This remarkable story

continues. The two goalkeepers embrace. But Sarcevic promised

promotion in the build-up to this game. And he has delivered big time.

What a day to remember for Fleetwood Town. Where memories are made. Their

rapid rise through the divisions brings them to this very moment at

Wembley. A sixth promotion in ten seasons, led by Graham Alexander. He

surely will have to be known as Alexander the Great after this! What

a story. Fleetwood Town get their hands on the trophy. Fleetwood are

promoted to League One for the first time in their history! Mark Roberts

with his hands on the trophy. The Fleetwood chairman, he will never

have a better birthday than this! Now, the party can really start.

Gary Rowett can only look in envy. Now the manager's term. Graham

Alexandra holds the trophy aloft. He has done the job. -- Graham

Alexander. Fleetwood next season will be playing in League One. Six

promotions in ten years, not bad. Fleetwood, winners at Wembley,

beating Burton by one goal to nil. Oh, my goodness! What an incredible

personal story. Six promotions in nine years, Nathan. Yes, a brilliant

story. Just cannot believe it at the moment. Lost for words. Can you take

me back to the year you joined and your debut for this football club?

85 fans, something like that. To finish it today at Wembley, distil

inching myself. -- still pinching myself. It has been incredible. All

the promotions we have one. When you are part of something like this, you

have to grab it with two hands. It was in all the way, was? I saw the

keeper come off. The best feeling ever. The atmosphere, to be at

Wembley, I know everyone said it was what I dreamt of, I am so happy.

What have you bought into? What is it about Fleetwood? How has this

club achieved so much in the short space of time? Everyone says we are

the club with the money bet you do not know what goes on

behind-the-scenes. We such a tight-knit group. The chairman backs

the manager when we are under pressure. It is a family club and it

is a great club to be at. It has been a long season. To finally get

over the line today, we are absolutely elated. Wherever the

moon. What makes this English system so magnificent is it gives the

minnow and the small clubs the chance to rise the leagues. That is

what we have done. That is what Burton Albion have done. It is a

fantastic system. We spoke about it after the York game, we are going to

play a final. It is that going and winning. Don't think about who we

might play next year. I made that mistake in the past when I got to

Championship play-offs and I did not get the dream until the third time

lucky. That is when I did not think about the next year. There are no

guarantees of winning. I think you have got to get the players

relaxed. Disappointing, difficult to take but I said you have got to look

at Fleetwood, take your hat off to them, give them credit for achieving

what we could not do and tried to use it. Try to use that

disappointment and that hurt to drive us next season. It is what we

did last year when got knocked out to Bradford and we have got to do

the same this year. A second season of disappointment

for Burton. But well done to Fleetwood. What about the game

itself? Like what we saw earlier between Rotherham and Leyton Orient,

it was not quite so open. Was it a question of nerves getting to the

players? Neither side played to their full potential. Was an element

of nerves from both sides. I thought Fleetwood had a bit more quality in

the way they moved the ball and the they attacked again. I thought it

and were a little bit predictable. They did not create anything. That

is the problem they have had all season. I think they scored 47 goals

this season which was always difficult. Really, their platform

has been on clean sheets and they did not keep one of those either.

Fleetwood started the better of the two sides. Dean Lyness made some key

saves. 22 years old, 18 clean sheets this season. Some important saves to

make sure Fleetwood did not get off to the flying start they wanted. It

was instinctive. He does not worry about how to keep the ball out of

the net. Fleetwood were celebrating thinking it had hit the back of the

net but he made a good save which kept Burton in the game and kept the

game at 0-0. And then Dean played his part in an incident which he

will want to forget. With 15 minutes to go. Was it a Rush of blood to the

head? There are two elements to this. One, Ian Sharpe is missing but

dream that Matt Dean gets dragged to the ball. We have seen it happen in

the Champions League. The macro for it to happen in the play-off final

will be difficult to get over but he is a good goalkeeper. He has got a

John his side. He is only 22. He will learn from it. -- he has got

age on his side. Nathan Pond has been there from the non-league days

from only ten years ago. He made his debut in the North West Counties

League. He said there were 85 fans, there were only 81. Don't forget the

dog! To be playing at Wembley in front of 14,000 is a wonderful

story. It is not just, it is about players like that, who did not know

they would be playing league football, but to be playing in

League One. Andy Mead walked around the Highbury Stadium when he first

took over 11 years ago. He said he opened a window and it fell out.

Look at the stadium now and what they have brought to the football

club and what they have brought to a tiny fishing town whose population

is 27,000. It is surrounded by water on three sides want to get into

Fleetwood, they do not let you out! He has good people and they will not

be letting him out. Especially Graham Alexander who he appointed 18

months ago. We were surprised when he took over from Mickey Miller. He

is investing his money and investing in the club. It is not just about

money but it is about investing in people and working with people. They

are a close knit hunch and getting success. He's the head of that

success and deserves credit. I do not think you will be invited up

there any time soon. If they do they will not let me out! The fact they

will be playing people like Sheffield United speaks volumes. It

does and it is a wonderful story. Back-to-back promotions, well, not

back-to-back but two in three seasons is wonderful. I think they

have a chance of getting in the play-offs next year again. They are

that good. He is so ambitious, Andy, and he will want to try and achieve

something. Graham Alexander will not appreciate that! That is it from us
