Good evening. We are fast approaching the quarterfinals of the

:00:07.:00:40.

2015 Betway UK snooker championship. Two fourth round matches to be

:00:41.:00:44.

completed and in one of them two old pals slugging it out in an

:00:45.:00:45.

all-Scotland clash. You can only get excited in these

:00:46.:00:55.

games. It doesn't get any bigger. The UK is the second biggest

:00:56.:00:58.

tournament we've got on the calendar. To play somebody like John

:00:59.:01:02.

Higgins, who is a four-time world champion and the greatest player

:01:03.:01:04.

that's ever played, to me, you can only look forward to it. I'm loving

:01:05.:01:08.

it. As I said, I have been here for the last couple of years and really

:01:09.:01:10.

struggling and not the last couple of years and really

:01:11.:01:11.

struggling and not knowing when my next win will come from. So at the

:01:12.:01:17.

start of this year, it was great to win two tournaments and then

:01:18.:01:24.

obviously we got to the final of the up with, me and Stephen, so that was

:01:25.:01:28.

a bitter shame to lose but it's going great this season so far. You

:01:29.:01:33.

don't want to see mates struggling, especially if you like and respect

:01:34.:01:35.

them and everyone respects John Higgins. But he is looking

:01:36.:01:40.

comfortable in the field again, you know, you can see the difference

:01:41.:01:42.

between him now and a couple of seasons ago. You know, he is nearly

:01:43.:01:50.

back to his best. He had some great wins gend Li Hang, the Chinese

:01:51.:01:54.

player we rate so. He is feeling good in his game and we're good

:01:55.:01:58.

mates on the tour and it's tough playing one of your pals on the

:01:59.:02:02.

tour, but you have to get on with it and block out who's sitting in the

:02:03.:02:06.

next chair. I know how good John is, he will play to win, and I'm not

:02:07.:02:11.

worried about it or scared, you know, I've played him before, we're

:02:12.:02:13.

the same age, we grew up together and I know him really well. So that

:02:14.:02:21.

will make a difference. If I take my chances and play the way I have been

:02:22.:02:24.

playing, I will be there. Higgins got off to a cracking start in this

:02:25.:02:28.

one, racing into a 3-0 lead and took the third frame with a break of 71.

:02:29.:02:33.

But Burnett pulled one back just before the interval and they then

:02:34.:02:37.

shared the next two frames. So we pick it up in the seventh, Higgins

:02:38.:02:39.

to play, trailing by 38 points. He might have come up a little bit

:02:40.:03:14.

short on the one he played first, so he will have to take the one left

:03:15.:03:18.

over the pocket, in between the pink and black. A very important stage in

:03:19.:03:27.

this match for John Higgins, it has to be said, Steve? Yeah, a very

:03:28.:03:36.

important miss potentially from Jamie Burnett. Didn't really hit it

:03:37.:03:39.

that confidently, did he? I think when John pots this red it's

:03:40.:04:09.

going to clear the path for the one next to it for the right cornerment

:04:10.:04:16.

-- corner. Oh, he got a kick there. A possible plant on. Not absolutely

:04:17.:04:17.

sure. ..If it's on. Possibly that red goes anyway,

:04:18.:04:37.

that's above the two-ball line-up. Oh, these are lovely plants, even

:04:38.:04:39.

more insurance. Just the one stumbling block,

:04:40.:05:09.

possibly, for John Higgins - the red near the cushion - as he checks the

:05:10.:05:14.

scoreboard. But he's going to need that and a few more after it. That

:05:15.:05:22.

plant was on, but he doesn't have to play for it, because the two reds

:05:23.:05:24.

are available into the left corner. That kicked off, so you can tell

:05:25.:05:38.

just by the sound of it, and I tell you what, this time the kick has

:05:39.:05:41.

spoiled the position. He was playing for the plant - I think he played

:05:42.:05:45.

across the table. I just don't think he was playing for ... I think he

:05:46.:05:51.

just played to roll it in and leave the two reds, but it threw it off at

:05:52.:05:56.

that angle and that's why he snookered it. Perhaps. Would you

:05:57.:06:01.

come off the side cushion and make the plant? I thought he was going to

:06:02.:06:08.

play the pink harder, if it was the plant, and then go across to the

:06:09.:06:16.

same side of the table, but... Yeah, he can't come off the side cushion,

:06:17.:06:20.

it's a bad plant, because the reds are two close together. That would

:06:21.:06:24.

be silly. You would play that in an exhibition. He has got a terrible

:06:25.:06:28.

white here. He has lost it there on the strength of that kick. He has

:06:29.:06:36.

ruined his concentration. A sinking feeling in your stomach when that

:06:37.:06:48.

happens. He probably didn't... He must have widened it so much so that

:06:49.:06:50.

it meant he was snookered. Well, he missed a black previously

:06:51.:07:20.

that was probably slightly easier than this one, because he is tight

:07:21.:07:22.

on the cushion. Let's see how well he can cue this.

:07:23.:07:33.

Better! Good shot, that was. I'll tell you what, he might just have

:07:34.:07:40.

the angle to stun this in and knock the red over the pocket and finish

:07:41.:07:47.

on pink or black. And this could be a big turning point in this match,

:07:48.:07:49.

if he can pull this shot off. A very positive shot there, from

:07:50.:08:06.

Jamie Burnett, and if he can hold himself together, it would be a

:08:07.:08:10.

fantastic chance to go only one frame adrift.

:08:11.:08:21.

Very nice. OK, he is not dead straight on it, but every chance of

:08:22.:08:32.

rolling this into the middle pocket and being in prime position.

:08:33.:09:40.

That's the frame safe, and he'll be feeling pretty good about himself,

:09:41.:09:44.

old Jamie. Won the last frame with a n aid of a

:09:45.:10:05.

break of 52. And this is a nicely played shot. Doesn't matter if he

:10:06.:10:12.

lands on top of the pink. Just hit it, double it, doesn't matter what

:10:13.:10:19.

happens. It's not going to be hard enough for the double, is it? So,

:10:20.:10:26.

Jamie Burnett, 4-1 down - all of a sudden, he wins two frames in a row

:10:27.:10:37.

and he is only one behind. 3-4. Yes, this is some comeback from

:10:38.:10:38.

Burnett. Could Yes, this is some comeback from

:10:39.:10:40.

Burnett. Could he draw level in the next frame? Higgins to play and he

:10:41.:10:42.

is leading. I think he can take this cut on, you

:10:43.:11:11.

know. It's a free shot. Towards the black again with the cue ball.

:11:12.:11:25.

Is he going to take a similar shot on again? He never got near it the

:11:26.:11:37.

last time. This is so difficult. Oh! Well, considering that he had no

:11:38.:11:59.

intention of disturbing yellow and red, the fact that that other red

:12:00.:12:03.

went safe is about the best he could have asked for after butchering that

:12:04.:12:04.

shot. Yeah, John played it with so much

:12:05.:12:18.

side, he finished up getting the double kiss on that safety. I

:12:19.:12:22.

thought he was going to try and pot it again as he did with the previous

:12:23.:12:25.

attempt, but he was just playing the safety shot off that red. It had so

:12:26.:12:29.

much side on it, that he double kissed it. He has just gone flat, at

:12:30.:12:39.

the moment, John. Lost the initiative for certain - the dreaded

:12:40.:12:43.

double kiss. And that red was always safe by the yellow, as well. Well,

:12:44.:12:55.

Jamie is showing his intentions here, of getting on this red into

:12:56.:12:59.

the corner, in such a way that he could maybe pot it and bring the

:13:00.:13:00.

other red into play. Oh, the double kiss has worked out

:13:01.:13:18.

for him! He had a couple of ways of going about that. He looked at the

:13:19.:13:22.

possibility of leaving that red and then decided, "Well, I might try and

:13:23.:13:27.

move this, if I don't, I'll finish on that red anyway". But what a

:13:28.:13:29.

delightful double kiss. Well, I'd suggest that he is one

:13:30.:13:59.

good pot away from 4-4 here. He needs to leave himself an angle on

:14:00.:14:04.

this red, on the bottom cushion, but not too much of an angle.

:14:05.:14:19.

Oh, he's not on the brown as well as I thought, so he is going to have to

:14:20.:14:27.

leave himself distance, as well. In a club, you'd load up the cue ball

:14:28.:14:31.

to the right hand side and get close, but you risk missing the pot.

:14:32.:14:37.

So... Depends how much he risks. Not much.

:14:38.:14:47.

Well, this definitely is the key shot as to whether he can draw level

:14:48.:14:57.

with John Higgins. He is bound to finish on blue or yellow, if the red

:14:58.:14:59.

drops in. Well, he hit it a little bit harder

:15:00.:15:15.

- why, I don't know, because if he leaves himself on the blue or

:15:16.:15:18.

yellow, it's straightforward. Now he has got to play a tricky little

:15:19.:15:22.

black here, as we show you that delicate shot along the cushion.

:15:23.:15:26.

Blue's the shot. Well, what a great effort this is

:15:27.:15:50.

from Jamie Burnett. At 4-1, John Higgins was cruising. So he needs

:15:51.:16:01.

the green, brown, blue and pink to get himself level.

:16:02.:16:17.

Well, who would have thought this was going to happen? Certainly not

:16:18.:16:23.

John Higgins. Certainly not this Barbican crowd. But there's going to

:16:24.:16:26.

be a cliffhanger now. Early on in this match, we were all

:16:27.:16:41.

saying how easy it would be for John - he has beaten Jamie on eight

:16:42.:16:44.

occasions and this is just going to be a stroll in the park for him.

:16:45.:16:45.

It's not now. He wins one more frame - four frames

:16:46.:17:19.

out of five - and he gets himself level with John Higgins. Jamie

:17:20.:17:23.

Burnett must be very quietly feeling pleased with himself. As he leaves

:17:24.:17:28.

the arena, he is all square with John Higgins, four each. This is

:17:29.:17:33.

excellent stuff from Jamie Burnett. Can he take the lead? Here he is at

:17:34.:17:34.

the table trailing by 18 points. Well, Jamie, can you hold yourself

:17:35.:17:51.

together here and put even more pressure on your good pal?

:17:52.:18:17.

Well, there will be one player watching this, I'm sure, who's

:18:18.:18:23.

taking sides. Neil Robertson faces the winner and,

:18:24.:18:39.

not being disrespectful to Jamie Burnett whatsoever, I'm sure the

:18:40.:18:43.

prospect of John Higgins going out here will be very much in Neil

:18:44.:18:48.

Robertson's favour. I think Neil will be tucked up in

:18:49.:19:08.

bed and getting a good night's rest, getting ready for tomorrow. I'm sure

:19:09.:19:13.

you didn't watch too much snooker before you played your next match,

:19:14.:19:14.

Steve? He'll be keeping an eye on it for

:19:15.:19:24.

sure. Oh, he hit that harder than he

:19:25.:19:38.

intended. A little bit of pressure back on Jamie now - the fact that

:19:39.:19:44.

he's drawn level with John. But he could have held that for the black

:19:45.:19:48.

and he wouldn't have had to hit it that hard. Now, can John Higgins get

:19:49.:19:55.

himself back together here? Well, you can hear one supporter in

:19:56.:20:08.

the crowd saying, "Good shot, John". Just about OK. There's only this red

:20:09.:20:31.

and one more red available, so maybe a good angle on the black here.

:20:32.:20:43.

Now he's just going to play for the single red at the moment. Wasn't

:20:44.:20:50.

quite the angle that he would have liked, so imperative now that he

:20:51.:20:57.

gets a good angle on the black. I mean, there are better points to go

:20:58.:21:01.

into from the blue, but where this red is, he has got to play for the

:21:02.:21:07.

black. And he has got a little bit of angle. If he can cannon into the

:21:08.:21:12.

red, just between the pink and black. That would be perfect. And he

:21:13.:21:23.

did do. But he stuck somewhat - he needed a little bit more spin on

:21:24.:21:33.

that. Seemed to just stick in there - a little bit more bottom and the

:21:34.:21:37.

white would have kept spinning a little. Tricky one now. Not sure if

:21:38.:21:40.

he can guarantee position on the black . Very nicely done. Had to

:21:41.:21:55.

judge the flick off the other red - could easily have lost the cue ball

:21:56.:21:57.

to the cushion. No need for any cannons now. There's

:21:58.:22:38.

a couple of reds available into the opposite corner. ..To the black.

:22:39.:22:51.

Come up a little bit short, but he is already 46 ahead, so a slight

:22:52.:22:56.

change of plan - but he should be able to drop nicely on the pink or

:22:57.:22:58.

blue. That wasn't ideal, but he has got

:22:59.:23:30.

that red into the corner - it will be a very relieved John Higgins who

:23:31.:23:33.

gives himself a little bit of breathing space coming into the

:23:34.:23:36.

nitty gritty part of the game. Look at that, though, with the

:23:37.:23:58.

cannon, he has left all threat reds on - one to the right corner, one to

:23:59.:24:01.

the left corner and one to the middle. A bit more like it but it

:24:02.:24:10.

has to be said, Jamie Burnett has let him off the hook here. He was in

:24:11.:24:18.

the balls with a great chance. He was in around the black spot area

:24:19.:24:22.

and for some reason he didn't fancy holding for the black, tried to play

:24:23.:24:26.

up for the blue and just seemed to hit it too hard.

:24:27.:24:43.

This break coming just at the right time for John Higgins. 52 was his

:24:44.:24:52.

highest - not in a match but the last break he made of any size was

:24:53.:24:54.

52 and he led 4-1. I We're looking at a player that has

:24:55.:25:37.

made 598 centuries in his illustrious career. 25 centuries

:25:38.:25:38.

last season, 17 this season. We've had 90 centuries so far in

:25:39.:26:10.

this year's UK championship - and make that 91! And it's come just at

:26:11.:26:15.

the right time for John Higgins, because he had lost four of the last

:26:16.:26:19.

five frames and no wonder he is going out of the arena at pace

:26:20.:26:23.

there. But that century puts him one frame away from a place in the

:26:24.:26:28.

quarterfinal. He leads Jamie Burnett 5-4. Brilliant stuff from the

:26:29.:26:32.

four-time world champion John Higgins. So Jamie Burnett needs

:26:33.:26:34.

something special - here he is on a Well, he thought long and hard about

:26:35.:26:49.

which red to take and in the end he felt that was the better one. But

:26:50.:26:53.

they're tricky little shots, you know. It's off the cushion, it's not

:26:54.:26:57.

tight on the cushion, so it's a chance that's gone. He was 48 points

:26:58.:27:10.

in front. One good pot and position and John could get right back into

:27:11.:27:15.

this frame - a frame that would put him into the quarterfinals.

:27:16.:27:41.

It's three reds that are a little awkward. Two on the side cushion

:27:42.:27:44.

definitely very difficult. Can John Higgins do here what he has

:27:45.:28:17.

done so many times throughout his career - when he is well behind in a

:28:18.:28:20.

frame, he seems to play his best. Now, this is where it starts to get

:28:21.:29:31.

tricky for John. Play for the one at the left side of

:29:32.:29:49.

the table here and he has got enough angle to drop in behind that ...

:29:50.:30:02.

Not bad. But goes past the green, I think. And ideally just past the

:30:03.:30:18.

blue would give him a chance to knock the two reds out. He has

:30:19.:30:31.

stunned it instead for an angle on the pink. He may have the right

:30:32.:30:35.

angle, as well - it was more critical but this is a chance.

:30:36.:30:42.

He had to be so precise there to get on the pink to give himself - I was

:30:43.:30:55.

with you, I thought he might roll through for the blue. It was easier

:30:56.:31:02.

to guarantee a good angle to move the reds. But another fraction and

:31:03.:31:07.

this would have been on. It was a great way to play it. He knew

:31:08.:31:11.

exactly what he was doing with that cue ball to get the right position

:31:12.:31:15.

on the pink and - oh! What a shot that was! Well, we didn't see that

:31:16.:31:26.

one coming! What a beauty that was. Didn't seem possible to get that cue

:31:27.:31:34.

ball out! But he is going for the throw here - what a fantastic

:31:35.:31:38.

performance. Oh, and I tell you what, that was ... .. ..... That was

:31:39.:31:48.

courageous. Courageous. This is John Higgins at his best. He got half a

:31:49.:32:02.

chance, it didn't look on, there was three difficult reds and he is only

:32:03.:32:11.

two points behind now. So one good position or shot here - make sure

:32:12.:32:12.

you don't cannon the brown. And it's just a bit shy. Another six

:32:13.:32:29.

inches and it would have been ideal. It's just a bit wider than he wants.

:32:30.:32:31.

Still, very gettable, of course. He really is a class act, John

:32:32.:32:46.

Higgins. But this is what he does best .

:32:47.:32:57.

So he just needs the brown and the blue and it will be quite a relieved

:32:58.:33:04.

John Higgins, because he led 4-1, it all looked plain sailing, but his

:33:05.:33:07.

good friend Jamie battled his way back to four each, and what a way to

:33:08.:33:22.

close the match out. No wonder he is puffing his cheeks there! And what a

:33:23.:33:26.

mouth-watering afternoon you are in for - Neil Robertson will be playing

:33:27.:33:37.

John Higgins. Jamie Burnett put in a good effort and he almost got back

:33:38.:33:44.

against John Higgins - from 4-1 down he levelled it 4-4, but in the end,

:33:45.:33:48.

after Jamie made that break of 48, John Higgins showed his class and he

:33:49.:33:51.

dished up and he goes through to the quarterfinal, winning six frames to

:33:52.:33:58.

four. At 4-1 in front, I felt OK, I missed a couple but then Jamie came

:33:59.:34:02.

back really strong at me and I was just bracing myself for the deciding

:34:03.:34:06.

frame. He potted a great red at the start of the tenth frame and he was

:34:07.:34:10.

looking good. Lucky for me, he missed a red and I managed to clear

:34:11.:34:15.

up, which was good. I think Jamie had me under pressure in the ninth

:34:16.:34:19.

frame and he missed a red which I'm sure if he went 5-4 in front he

:34:20.:34:25.

could probably have won. He gave me a chance and I done 100, and a tough

:34:26.:34:29.

clearance at the end there, but I just decided to go for it and

:34:30.:34:34.

luckily for me, it went in. And John Higgins will meet the 2013 UK

:34:35.:34:40.

champion, Neil Robertson, at 1:00 tomorrow after thumping another

:34:41.:34:43.

Scott, Stephen Maguire, 6-1, knocking in three centuries and

:34:44.:34:46.

winning six frames on the bounce. Last night, I was doing a bit of

:34:47.:34:51.

practice and, you know, part of my routine, I was just playing some

:34:52.:34:56.

safety shots, as well, and Stephen has come in, and he has gone, "Don't

:34:57.:34:59.

you dare be playing any of those tomorrow, don't you dare play clip,

:35:00.:35:05.

clip, clip". And I said, "Mate, you go for him and I will, I'm fine with

:35:06.:35:11.

that" and the way he started off, he really put a marker down and I knew

:35:12.:35:17.

I had to respond and be at my best today to beat him because he looked

:35:18.:35:21.

in a really determined mood today. Meanwhile, a long old afternoon for

:35:22.:35:29.

China's Liang Wenbo and Tom Ford, who accused Wenbo of being boring

:35:30.:35:38.

after losing. I think I changed my mind, yeah, at 5-3 down and I don't

:35:39.:35:47.

know why, yeah? I was very relaxed and enjoyed playing that red ball. I

:35:48.:35:51.

don't know why, I just concentrated on playing. And after I gave in to

:35:52.:35:59.

the pressure. I tried to work hard, and I had the safety long shot and

:36:00.:36:07.

controlled the table and I had a good, good, good experience here.

:36:08.:36:14.

Well done to Liang. What a story this is, 46-year-old Joe Swail from

:36:15.:36:18.

Belfast didn't even get past the first round in last year's UK chafrp

:36:19.:36:23.

but tonight was looking for a place in the last eight tonight taking on

:36:24.:36:28.

Londoner Martin Gould. He leads the match 2-1. They share the first four

:36:29.:36:33.

frames. We will pick up the action in the fifth, Swail trailing by

:36:34.:36:41.

twelve points. Yeah, as long as nothing goes into the right centre,

:36:42.:36:45.

it's OK, but the red that's pottable, it's not possible to find

:36:46.:36:49.

a gap there around the back of the black, so just a containing safety

:36:50.:36:54.

shot. But he has got to leave this red here. Now, it is a bit of a

:36:55.:37:05.

tester for Martin Gould. Both reds pottable into this bottom right-hand

:37:06.:37:11.

corner pocket. He does have a nice angle to - he has taken the second

:37:12.:37:16.

red. Maybe he can get through the gap with the black in the pack. He

:37:17.:37:25.

played that safety shot a little bit too hard, Joe. He wanted to leave

:37:26.:37:29.

the cue ball right in the jaws. A little bit pacy, wasn't it? He would

:37:30.:37:37.

love to try and get on one of these reds into the left-hand corner

:37:38.:37:38.

pocket. Stay on the black. A similar type of shot - just down

:37:39.:38:05.

between the pink and the red, just to the left of the pink. Throw this

:38:06.:38:08.

one away anywhere in that gap and he will be on a couple of reds into

:38:09.:38:11.

this left-hand corner pocket. Perfect.

:38:12.:38:21.

Sometimes you play those containing safety shots and you know you're

:38:22.:38:35.

going to leave a possible tempter. But the way Joe played it, it was

:38:36.:38:39.

just that bit too hard, wasn't it? It should have been closer to the

:38:40.:38:48.

corner pocket. You wouldn't have minded him playing for the first

:38:49.:38:51.

red, but to leave that second one was disappointing. That may be could

:38:52.:38:56.

and should have cost him the frame, the way the balls are.

:38:57.:39:25.

Well, that was sort of betwixt and between. I was sure he was trying to

:39:26.:39:32.

get on to the pink, maybe in the bottom right-hand corner pocket, but

:39:33.:39:36.

he overran it and now the cue ball must go in and out of baulk here.

:39:37.:39:43.

He is blessed with a lot of cue power, Martin, isn't he? He gets the

:39:44.:40:01.

cue ball moving OK. Well, this will tidy up the awkward

:40:02.:40:30.

reds, as regards staying around the black is concerned.

:40:31.:40:48.

Everyone has been complaining about kicks on this table, but I don't

:40:49.:40:53.

think we've had a kick tonight. Can you remember a kick? I'm not quite

:40:54.:40:58.

sure whether there were too many. A few of the players were complaining

:40:59.:41:03.

all week about kicks and we saw a few this afternoon, but not too many

:41:04.:41:08.

tonight. Although a few times the players have got the cue ball

:41:09.:41:19.

cleaned. Sometimes you get bad contacts, even though the balls

:41:20.:41:23.

still do go into the pocket, but it's the cue ball that doesn't

:41:24.:41:30.

travel through on the path chosen by the players. But the table looks to

:41:31.:41:34.

be playing a lot better today - although there have been quite a few

:41:35.:41:39.

bounces, I must say. The cushions are playing very, very quick indeed.

:41:40.:41:41.

He is lucky there. Holds his hand up.

:41:42.:43:30.

Frame one truly over now - he can start to concentrate on making a

:43:31.:43:44.

possible century. Yeah, he has made 132 career centuries - 15 last

:43:45.:43:47.

season, seven so far this season. That was an incredible achievement

:43:48.:44:27.

from Neil Robertson two seasons ago - 100 centuries in one season. Quite

:44:28.:44:31.

amazing. I will be absolutely amazed if anybody is anywhere near that.

:44:32.:44:37.

Some people have made 60, but to get anywhere near 100 is just

:44:38.:44:41.

remarkable. I think Judd Trump made 80 last season, yeah. Incredible

:44:42.:44:51.

achievement. A lot of pros haven't made 80 in their career, never mind

:44:52.:44:52.

in one season. Well played by Martin Gould - a

:44:53.:45:49.

wonderful break. There has been a lot of really high

:45:50.:46:04.

centuries this week, haven't there? I think we have had five breaks of

:46:05.:46:09.

140, another three or four of 130. This is another chance of getting

:46:10.:46:11.

another 130-plus. There has been quite a number. I'm not quite sure

:46:12.:46:18.

of the complete amount so far in the UK championships, but it's well up -

:46:19.:46:25.

and this is the 90th. And that's quite a lot, isn't it, for a UK

:46:26.:46:32.

championship and we're still.. Three days to go? Everybody is moaning

:46:33.:46:37.

about the tables but they can't be that bad, can they?!

:46:38.:47:00.

So a wonderful clearance of 131 from Martin Gould. Gets his nose in front

:47:01.:47:09.

for the first time in this match and he now leads by three frames to two.

:47:10.:47:13.

Gould then took the next two frames before Swail pulled another back

:47:14.:47:18.

thanks to a break of 54, but Gould kept piling on the pressure in frame

:47:19.:47:22.

nine and with Swail needing snookers, the Londoner ranked 24 in

:47:23.:47:27.

the world booked his place in the last eight, with Joe conceding and

:47:28.:47:33.

Martin Gould will now meet David Grace in another all-England clash -

:47:34.:47:37.

that gets under way tomorrow evening at 7:00. Well done to Martin Gould.

:47:38.:47:46.

Struggled first sort of three, four frames. Didn't really settle down as

:47:47.:47:51.

well as I would like. There was a lot of pressure on both of us.

:47:52.:47:57.

Massive tournament, the UK championship, and to reach the

:47:58.:47:59.

quarterfinals is a huge achievement. But I've managed to settle down and

:48:00.:48:05.

come out and played some really good stuff. I had a fair little bit of

:48:06.:48:11.

run, but I took advantage of it and Joe found the table quite difficult,

:48:12.:48:15.

I think, he got little kicks and I don't think he was too happy with

:48:16.:48:21.

how the table played. But I just carried on doing what I have to do

:48:22.:48:24.

and tried to ignore what was going on with Joe. So, yeah, I'm delighted

:48:25.:48:29.

to be through. A cracking quarterfinal line-up, this is how it

:48:30.:48:33.

looks - Leeds David Grace takes on Martin Gould for a place in the

:48:34.:48:37.

semifinals. Liang Wenbo takes on Marco Fu, who dumped out Shaun

:48:38.:48:44.

Murphy. Neil Robertson takes on John Higgins, and Matthew Selt, the world

:48:45.:48:48.

number 25, takes on world number one and 2012 you can champion, Mark

:48:49.:48:54.

Selby. So we're all set for the quarterfinals. Extended highlights

:48:55.:49:00.

of Liang Wenbo taking on Tom Ford coming up straight after this

:49:01.:49:02.

programme. Thank you very much indeed for watching. We shall see

:49:03.:49:08.

you again at 1:00 on BBC Two with further live coverage of the Betway

:49:09.:49:14.

UK championship. From all of us here, bye for now.

:49:15.:49:20.

This is the FA Cup and anything can happen.
