Three weeks ago Ulster's lost their track record. Their coach was not

impressed. Last week came their third loss of the season. They will

try to get back to their winning ways tonight against Treviso. It is

another big night for this man - Paddy Jackson. It is Ulster against

and Marshall had been outstanding. I think he had a solid debut.

We have seen Paddy Jackson turn in some fantastic kicking performances.

Absolutely. He has kicked very well in training. I don't think anyone

in Ulster has any concerns about whether Paddy Jackson is up to this.

We have to bear in mind it was his first international start. When the

whistle goes, it is a different story and a pink it might have got

to him more than he thought it would. He is a super guy go and I

cannot wait for tonight. Ulster had only lost once to Italian

opposition before, but it was to this lot the last time there were

not shirking! I think he is trying to prove a point. There is doubt

Grange, the South African has been brought in this season. Had injury

problems at the start of the season but he made a difference against

Munster. This is the man who has made a difference all season than

Andrew. He has grown into his fullback role pretty nicely. Many

injuries. And what a good kick that was by Jackson. It was an

outstanding clearance. But Ricky Andrew, what a take under pressure.

He knew he would have Treviso challenging. He got it up into the

air and caught it off his shoulder. You would have been proud of that

unfair. That was a great scrum by me, it looked as if he went

straight through. I don't see anything wrong with that. It was

did not take them. They were injury-enforced and I thought he

had had his opportunity, but he has got back in there because of

injuries to others and he is taking a transfer well. His positional

play has impress me. He looks to Brendan Williams? Was that legal?

The referee was not acknowledging it. Treviso looking to get their

yellow card. Iain Henderson has been sin-binned. They will get the

making tackles. They are all getting in on the act and being

aggressive. Treviso are playing good rugby as well. Andrew Trimble

is having a good season, enough to force himself on to the Irish side

tackle. Henderson is loitering. a little back-heel. And the pace of

Williams. Did Chris Cochrane do that deliberately, did he slip? I

think it was a clash of heels. We will say well done to Andrew

McMenemy for that one. It has been a pulsating first half after an

average opening 12 minutes. Ulster exploded with the tries from

Trimble and the new kid on the block, Stewart holding. -- Stuart

drove forward. He bumped into think they well. Ulster were slow

to react. The scrum was under pressure. Diack did not get the

support quick enough. And now Treviso are in a good attacking

position. It is important Ulster line-out. They are making life

difficult for the visitors. Afoa has galvanised the Ulster side this

flanker managed to squeeze over in the corner and so the pressure has

paid off. That was a good finish by the Italians. And it looks like

Barbieri went over in the corner. It was a slick pass from nowhere.

Semenzato got it away. And Dean Budd got it. It was smart play by

Valerio Bernabo initially. Ulster were caught flat-footed. They

thought the ball would be put to a runner or spun wide. Instead,

Valerio Bernabo picked and went and created momentum. Good finishing

and good anticipation by Semenzato. So Paris St Germain will be

disappointed to concede that drive. It is down to a converted try. Two

tries Ulster. A cracker by Andrew Trimble and another by Stuart

Olding and there was a decent kicking. But the Italians came back,

as you would expect from the top Italian side. The try by Dean Budd

and the conversion by Di Bernado. Not that much between them, seven.

flat. He made the step. He knew what he was about. The be question

is why is he not in the Irish team? It is beyond me. He is playing the

best rugby of his career. He is hungry. He is proactive. Everything

he does, tackling, the attack. I do not what -- know what he has to do.

Stuart Olding has had a solid first half. He has outstanding

distribution skills and the footwork, you can see him coming

off the left. He reminds me of someone who can beat you with very

little space. He has the power to push through the tackle. His see

Number 10, No. 12? I think he is shaping up to number 12. That gives

him more freedom to play. A fantastic step. He is like Paddy

when he started, he had blond hair when he started as well. They were

highlights! At least he had hair! Paddy Jackson, we know about last

week and the difficulties he had. What is your assessment a night?

has done everything we expected. He missed the first kick and then a

perfect touch. He is 21 and the talent he has to produce it on the

stage... You have seen a crowd responding to what he is doing. He

has the skills required. We will witness this a lot at rain and hail.

It is about competence. He is 21. We have this expectation. He will

have a go every time. And an excellent kick. Something that

people miss last week. He is a great defender. He does not shy

away. He wants to make the tackles. And you need that from Number 10.

You need to practise kicking every week. We have seen a couple more

kicks and he is getting to the flow. With Pienaar inside that takes the

pressure off. What did you make of his kicking? His kicking the last

couple of weeks has not been up to what we expect. There is a Williams,

he is electric. Given two inches, he will make six or seven yards.

That did not stop Pienaar from bouncing back and trying another.

They have to be careful that they make those kicks that can be

contested. If you give William space and time he is dangerous. But

he is not the tallest man Andy if you get the ball up in the air,

they will get dividends -- and if you can. For Paddy, to have Pienaar,

somebody of that quality inside, is fantastic. That stepping from

Williams was electric. Nothing on and then getting close down in

short space, it was magic. That is a good example of Pienaar's mission.

He is the Rolls Royce. He is back as the Springbok No. 9 and there is

a reason because he reads the game well. He makes the right decision

and executes at the right time. Ulster have taken criticism for

being passive. Tonight, not the case. This has been an aggressive

performance. This is what we want to see. Look at this textbook

tackle. Cave is straight on the ball. The physicality, stepping up

to the mark. Darren Cave was having a smashing night out. He was taken

off right there. Defensively, the speed has been there. We saw the

example with the physicality they are bringing to the area. Treviso

are playing well. The big hits, you cannot underestimate. It is there

team putting their bodies on the line. It inspires them. It has been

a physical performance. Iain He has got the physicality to get

out of those tight angles. It has been a great performance by a

Ulster, somewhat tempered by that last strike. That is the

disappointing thing. The Italians have been game and Ulster have let

them back in just before half-time. Treviso have come here to play

rugby and come away with something. It has been great entertainment so

far. It has been outstanding. Both sides want to play rugby and they

have brought that mine said to the game. They are both shining. It is

a real contest. We are looking forward to the second half. A lot

of our star players on the casualty list. -- Ulster players.

A few weeks off. How important is it to be here? It is great. We need

a good win. We have scored two tries already, although we let them

back in with that yellow card. I am sure the boys will come out ready

to finish the job. There seems to be an upsurge in physicality.

they have the firepower to score. Ulster need to be aware because if

definitely are. They are getting a good run of games. We hope you have
