Round Three Highlights Women's Six Nations Rugby

Welcome to Dublin four week three of

the women's Six Nations. After an

intriguing opening fortnight, the

players have had a well earned rest.

But now, they are ready to go again.

England lead the way and have

won all 11 meetings in the Six

Nations against Scotland. Can

they will be keen to keep in touch

at the top. 2015 winners Ireland are

hoping to get their title track back

on track against Wales, who also

have one win from two. We will have

the action here at Donnybrook late

in the programme. But we start with

Scotland and England. The red Roses

were looking to clock up their 50th

win in the competition and a certain

prop was eyeing up another slice of

again? They are on fire, you would

think after the World Cup they would

be tired, but they are on fire. All

the new caps in the England squad

are making her play even better, if

that is possible. The lines she

runs, dummy and old, she is

impressive and in the form of her

life.

what can you say about Rochelle

Clark and the history that keeps

coming?

So impressive, she keeps

challenging herself and putting

herself in those situations. 135

caps at international level is

impressive. I think she will keep

going and is ranked fourth as the

most capped ever and fair play to

her.

If we focus on the match

between Ireland and Wales, there are

some recent and giggly history

between them with Wales beating

Ireland on the last day of the World

Cup to take the seventh spot but

Alan coming back in the preseason

friendly to beat Wales. What is the

rivalry like from an Irish

perspective?

It is one of the

closest games over the last number

of years. He was focused on them as

your home games because you try to

win them, but it has to be tough,

build on. But that is an improved

performance. They have won at

Donnybrook by 35-12.

It was very

physical, but we had to be switched

on from the get go. We couldn't

switch off at any time. We wanted to

be relentless and ruthless and I

thought the girls did really well

today. I thought our mindset and

patience and physicality was really

up this week.

You are looking at

that thinking, that could have been

the other way around. We got sucker

punched twice in the first half, at

half time we spoke about it. We knew

if we had the tempo in the game we

would create opportunities and we

did that, throughout the game.

Especially in the second half early

on but we didn't capitalise. That

will be our lesson.

What an incredible performance from

Ireland, especially in the second

half. Once again I'm joined by

former captain Fiona Coghlan but

also player of the match Claire

Molloy. Fiona, talk us through the

final performance?

They tidied up a

lot of areas that disappointed in

the Italian game, they were clinical

and took it to Wales and even when

Wales got back into the game at the

start of the second-half, Ireland

kicked in, down to 14 players. They

got a few more tries. Good building

on the last

work on their weekend off!

I'm very familiar with Paula

and Kira playing at number six. We

have had a lot of changes, Sally was

ruled out with an injury this

weekend. We have to adapt, and have

a big squad. We cannot rely on eight

players through the Six Nations. But

Leah Lyons really put her hands up

today, she had a good game as the

tight head.

You are an A&E doctor

over in Wales, how will they react

to that result?

They told me during

the week that they would cheer me on

but they would be cheering for

Wales! I do think they will be happy

enough but they probably would have

preferred Wales to win to be honest!

Congratulations, we do have to focus

on the final match of the women's

Six Nations we can. France were

looking to remain unbeaten, ahead of

them taking on England at the

ultimate weekend. They took on Italy

at the stag do fewer Rhaney. Just a

hop over for the visitors but the

French fans were out in force.
