Welcome to snooker extra from the World Championship. We are now at

the quarterfinal stage of this year's tournament and tonight we

will bring you the opening session of the match between Jamie Jones,

24, enjoying a dream debut, up against the 2008 runner up, Ali

Carter. We will pick up the action with commentators Willie Thorne and

Ali Carter, fresh from his unbelievable win yesterday when he

trailed Judd Trump 12-9. At that stage he did not think she would be

The ball is in a perfect position It is nice to see Ali Carter in

good health again. He has been suffering with crones disease. It

must be hard to practise -- not be able to practise when you want to.

But he is back to the top of his game. He was talking in the studio

about his new diet - no wheat or dairy. It has helped him. With

crones disease you get very tired very quickly. You cannot practise

more than one or two hours per day before you start feeling tired. He

has done remarkably well over the years. It is good to see him, as

The red just above that is more straightforward but the problem

with putting this and potting the black is it will tie up the black

on the pink spot. It is one of those, whether you will play for

the blue or the pink in the middle. He has decided on the pink in the

middle but slightly overran it. Like Caine was saying, he does not

really want to play the black but he might have to now -- Ken. The

pink does not look too difficult. He would have a better chance of

winning the frame at this visit if he puts the black on the pink spot.

It is more of a risk to take the pink on, the Black will tie up the

Obviously now pink and black are awkward. He needs to keep getting

the right side of the blue if he can for the next couple of shots

before he can get one of those big Nice angle on the blue. He may take
